What'S up guys? UFC 317 just wrapped in this post. Fight Reaction video is brought to you by Total Wireless, the official wireless provider of UFC. They're in your corner with unlimited 5G data that will not slow you down, man. Let me tell you who's not slowing down. It is Ilia Toporia. Wow. I very rarely am I, like at a loss for words when it comes to athletes. I really cannot find the words to explain what we are seeing from Ilota Tapori. I mean, his ability to control guys, knock guys out, tell us what he's going to do. To knock guys out and then go out there and deliver is second to none. You know, you kind of expected him to have a harder time with Charles Oliveira, because we have seen everybody have a hard time with Charles Oliveira, you know, except for Islam. Islam dealt with him pretty good. But for the most part, Charles presents issues matchup wise for so many people. And it looked like that might become an issue for Ilya very early. He was able to secure a takedown, but as we have told you time and time again, Toporia, at his heart is a grappler. So what did he do? Get back to his feet? Went right back, right back on the attack, trying to knock Oliveira out. He made a promise that he would get it done in the first round, and he got it done in the first round. We, we honestly sat at the table thinking to ourselves, I don't know if it's good that Topori is out celebrating a victory that has not happened yet, but this young man has so much confidence in not only himself, but his preparation and his team and his ability, that when he says these things, he's not just spewing garbage, he believes that he is going to do it. And he almost speaks it into existence tonight. He spoke into existence and knocked out over Charles Oliveira. Fight starts. He hits Charles with a right hand, cuts him very early in a bad spot. Charles takes him down along the octagon side. Ilya gets back up, goes right back to work. Charles tried multiple times to take him down and he defended beautifully. You know, we always think when a Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey or somebody moves on that, okay, the UFC is going to struggle. But then there's always somebody new, and you could see them coming from a long time away. I remember the first time I called Toria's fight, I believe it was against Josh. Josh Emmett in, in Florida. And I was like, wow, this kid's so impressive. But Emmett was able to take the punches. But at this point, the PORI has tightened everything up so much. His, his striking is so straight that he's now generating more power than he even did before in knocking guys out. You thought Charles might present problems on the ground. Nope. You thought Charles would present some problems on the feet, but Charles is known to go into the fire. You cannot go into the fire with this guy. I think what was most impressive was the right hand actually ended the fight for Charles Oliveira. But because Topuria is so good at throwing in combination that he threw the left hook right after it and the left hook landed two and just knocked Charles out even more. He didn't really need to land the follow up shots, but he did because you are to fight until the referee says stop. You know, this kid's impressive, man. The kid's very impressive. He's only 28 years old, he's only had nine UFC fights and he's already a double champion. He's the real deal. Paddy Pimbler went to the Octagon afterwards. I believe that's a great fight. I believe Paddy will have to use his size against Ilya if he wants a chance though, because he is not known as good a striker as Oliveira. And you saw what Ilia did to Charles. So you got to be very careful on the Patty Pimlet side to make sure that you're doing the right things to ensure that you can get to him and try to take him down. Charles didn't have much success taking him down. Ilor is a real life star, man. He really is. And I, I think that we're going to be watching this kid for a really long time. As long as he stays the course, he seems to be doing all the right things. As long as he stays the course, I believe he's going to be very viable and in the championship picture as the champion at 155 for a long time, I think Islam can fight him, but I think Islam will be one of the greatest challenges he would have because they're both just next level. But right now, man, he seems to be separating himself from everybody. It's just unbelievable. And you gotta tip your hat to him. He's created a team all about him and by creating that team all about him, he's developed at a rate that most don't. So hats off to Ilia Toria for a phenomenal performance. Alexandre Pantoja submitted Kai Car France in the third round of their championship fight. They fought nine years ago. I hope that Kai didn't believe he was fighting the same guy because this new pantoa one deserves to be higher in the pound pound rankings. He's that good. And his confidence again, his confidence is growing. This young man only won that belt two years ago and he's already defended the Belt four times. He's already second to Demetrius Johnson for most flyweight championship fight and wins of all time. He is already now holds the record for the most wins in flyweight history. He's continuing to. To raise the bar. And he's just a genuinely good dude. Like, very rarely does the good guy truly get everything. In Pantoja's case, you got a good guy that's getting everything he deserves. He's so committed to his team, his family, committed to the sport, and he, you know, it's a guy that went from saying, dad, are you proud of me now? To now being a dominant world champion. That doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Soon he saw his next challenge fighting Joshua Van. Joshua Van always talks about, he tells me, bring my kids to Houston for two, three years and forget him because of the wrestler. He will have to display that wrestling if he wants a chance against the great champion in Alexandre Pantoja. Joshua Van and Brandon Royval put on an absolute classic tonight. I stood up out of my chair. I stood up out of my chair. I was so excited, excited. Watching them stand for 15 straight minutes and then him dropping Roy Val at the end of the third round to win the fight. This kid fought three weeks ago in Newark, had another finish tonight. He fights the number one contender and he gets a decision victory. It's amazing to watch a young man at such a young age get everything that he could ever have dreamt about in his life. Joshua Van is another one of those good guys that's getting what he deserves. Manil Dariush beat Anatomic. Talbot showed massive, massive improvements in his wrestling tonight and got a victory over Felipe Lima, who we all thought was much tougher than the last guy he lost to. So great on him for getting it done. Gregory Rodriguez knocked out. Jack Hermanson landed an extra shot that did not need to be landed. You know, Herbdean's a great ref, but he needs to rush to make sure that that doesn't happen. Because Hermantz was out for a long time. The UFC kept Hermanson for an hour checking on him before they allowed for him to go home because everybody was so concerned because of the amount of time that he spit out. Jose Miguel Delgado landed a beautiful knee to finish the fight. Tracy Cortez got a decision victory. And Terence McKinney once again, quick finish, this time with his grappling. Big submission win by Jacoby Smith and then a decision victory by Janata Janice. It was an amazing night. International fight week. We always promise you that it's going to be amazing tonight. I believe that this fight card delivered above what we ever could have expected because of the finishes, the fights, the heart that the the the fighters had on display and everything else. Guys, now it's time for my Total Wireless performance of the night, and it's hard to give it to anyone but the champion, Ilia Toporia. But I think for my performance of the night, Total Wireless, I have to give it to Gregory Rodriguez as my fighter of the night. He did such a great job of not only winning a fight, showing patience, and really showing that he is doing the things necessary to not only win fights, but go to the next level. It's not about just winning, it's about going to the next level, winning fights and winning fights impressively. Tonight, Gregory Rodriguez RoboCop did exactly that and showed maturity after the Jared Cannonier fight. So once again, my Total Wireless Fighter of the night is RoboCop Gregory Rodriguez. UFC 317 was a monster. I cannot wait to get to New Orleans. As always, guys, I love and appreciate you. I love your support. I thank you for it. Until next time, like subscribe and tell your friends. I got a YouTube channel and I'm giving you this type of back access to the ufc. Look at how fast we break it down after we're done. It takes no time. Until next time, guys. Peace. Foreign.
