It is me, Joey P. Joe P. Zia. And today we're going to talk about, well, what's most important. Whether or not we're going to draft or pass on certain players. And if you're watching on the YouTube, don't adjust that color on your set. We are wearing our chubby shirts today, at least the Welsh and ir that's for sure. Chubby's is a sponsor of today's show. More on them later on. But it might be the most comfortable shirt that I've ever worn ever. Period. It's a little loud, but then again, so am I and so is the Welsh. A little quieter, more subdued, thank goodness. To balance out the the treble and the bass, here is our patty cakes, Pat Fitzmaurice. Pat, it's great to have you here on the program. I'm sorry that you're not wearing your chubby shirt today, but I got to tell you, if, if you like for Christmas I could get you one.
B
I am insanely jealous and I am was asking you guys like wait, why, why didn't I get one? And apparently I didn' that I had to actually give someone my team name and size. I didn't realize that I thought that was on file. It was just going to be delivered right to me. So to go back and do that because I am, I'm very jealous right now.
A
Automatic that they would just send me whatever. It's all on file. Welsh. Can you believe we work with such a work diva here on Pat Fitz Morris? Just slack messages mean nothing to him.
C
Listen, we got celebrities in here. We got Jerry o' Connell just praising dbro. We got Pat Fitz Morris who is the most beloved across the industry. Like I, I gotta be honest with you, I'm not surprised that some of these guys are expecting just things to be sent to them without any information. Us, us hosts out here, Joe, and sometimes part time analysts. We gotta get a little Bit more in the streets, by the way, I wanna point this out. You know, my favorite thing about this is besides the comfort, it's not one of those shirts where you feel like you have to up. I know we're not even doing the ad, but I didn't feel like I had to like up play the size. You know, where it's like you gotta go. A size is absolutely perfect, Pat. Man, you would look great in one of these right now, Pat.
A
Too bad you didn't give Christmas is coming, Patty. Christmas is coming. I know what to get my patty cakes this holiday season. And we know what to get you this season because we're trying to get you a championship. That's what we're here trying to do. Again, subscribe to the YouTube channel right here. We're trying to get to 300, 000 this year and we can do it with your help. So subscribe right now and let's get into it. So we're going to play draft or pass. We're going to go through some running backs, some wide receivers, tight end, quarterback, different positions, different players here. And we're going to talk about whether or not we should be drafting or passing them. See what the guy's opinions are and maybe I'll chime in to break a tie if need be. Let start here with Christian McCaffrey. Christian McCaffrey in July was going around the, what, 14th player overall in best ball. And I thought, wow, that's a really intriguing value. I think I could be in on Christian McCaffrey there. Well, real time ADP on fantasy pros tells me now he is the seventh player that number has been cut in half and also Cut down to zero is the playing time in the preseason. Zero appearances for Christian McCaffrey. He's in bubble wrap. Also, the San Francisco 49ers did go out and acquire another running back. And I know Isaac Rando wasn't healthy and Brian Robinson is there now and depth is important. It's the NFL, but there's a lot of potential flags here. Christian McCaffrey, the potential upside is the best player in fantasy. We know that. We've seen that. But we didn't see a lot of Christian McCaffrey last year. And there's been some other seasons where we haven't seen that as well. And it's now costing you a lot to get Christian McCaffrey. So I'm gonna start with Mr. 49er in his chubby shirt today. Draft or pass CMC at his current ADP.
C
Well, if it's not obvious. We're clearly going to pass. No, I'm just kidding. We're going to draft now. Of course. I just fooled you. What are you talking about here? Christian McCaffrey. Yeah. No, we are going to draft Christian McCaffrey. If I didn't draft it in the shirt it'd be disgusting. But I mean, you know, you kind of laid it out usually. The ultimate boom or bust pick 2024. Absolute lost cause. But I and maybe this is a struggle that I have sometimes, but I've said this from time and time again, when you have a player that has an injury tag to them and has production loss, I think there's a lot more justification. When you have a player win healthy who can be one of the best players in that sport, that's a consideration that you need to take a little bit more seriously. And yeah, the injuries were really bad. But the one thing we know about Christian McCaffrey, regardless of who else out, they don't care who they bring a Brian Robinson doesn't matter if they bring in 12 more running backs. When Christian McCaffrey is healthy, it is Christian McCaffrey's team in 2023 how many games he did not finish as a top 12 running back and half PPR?
A
4.
C
You know how many games he did not finish as a top 24 RB. So at least in RB2 0. So I mean pretty obvious the clutch of what he's going to score and how he's going to be used is there top 12 running back a majority of the time. They lost their short yardage guy in Debo Iuk is hurt. The targets are there, the usage is there and if he can stay healthy he actually might be the safest to be a top three overall player. He might be the safest first round pick there is taking out the actual injury worry. So from a production standpoint he is going to be an absolute monster on the team. They've babied him. I don't think Brian Robinson is going to take anything away from him. I would acknowledge I'm a tiny bit worried or don't love that the cost has gone up and up and up. But I think a lot of us playing a Ricky Bobby, if you're not first your last type of situation and this is a guy that when healthy is going to no doubt be a top first round pick and I think he can be the number one overall player. So I'm going to take some risk here when the running backs fall off and I'm going to say Christian McCaffrey is a draft.
A
Well, I mean, you also.
C
And I'm wearing Niners.
A
You are wearing a Niners shirt. But. But on top of that, look, you're not wrong. We all know how great Christian McCaffrey is. But the thing you didn't mention is the amount of games that he misses. 2024. Obviously missed 13. He only played seven games in 2021. Only played three games in 2020. So I get it. When he's there, he's the number one player, but sometimes he ain't there. And the problem is, Pat, you know, at this time in the draft now, where you have to draft him in the real ADP as the seventh player overall, you're passing on Derek Henry, Justin Jefferson, Amon Ross, St. Brown. A lot of guys that are, I think are very steady where you don't have to play that game of it's all or nothing. So is it draft or pass for you for cmc?
B
Yeah, boy, I guess I'm the tiebreaker here with the guy in the 49er shirt and the guy in the room.
A
Who is saying, I'm a pass. I'm a pass at 7. Yeah, I was in at 14, I was curious at 12, at 10 maybe, but at 7, I don't know, I'm out.
B
Oh, you're a, you're a known Christian McCaffrey Sourpuss Joe. So, like it was always going to be me as the tiebreaker here. And look, for me, he is a reluctant draft and the injury risk is absolutely terrifying. And I love Welsh, you know. Well, he's actually the safest pick. If not for those annoying bones and muscles that, you know, every, every player has, if not for that, he would be the safest pick out there. But he actually.
C
But there's. Guys, we talk about production. I mean, it cut into your time. Like, I know it could seem silly what I'm saying, but like, if you take away the injury stuff and you just are purely looking at production, there might not be. There's two guys, maybe three that are more floor based that you're going to lock in if he is out there. And of course the if is why he's not being drafted as like the third guy. Like, you know what he's going to do. There's no production dip. So I know it is like a silly comment that I said, but like injuries aside, his production is without question.
B
Yeah, if he's healthy, he's going to smash. He always smashes when he's healthy. And since the Trade of the 49ers in 2022, Christian McCaffrey has averaged 19.8 touches a game, 115.5 yards from scrimmage per game, and one touchdown per game. Kyle Shanahan system extremely running back friendly and he just, he loves feeding CMC the ball probably more than is wise. But like Shanahan just can't help himself. So yes, the one thing I would say about the injury risk, I think you should be willing to draft Christian McCaffrey. I think you should be more willing to draft him if you are in a league with a lot of sharks and the competition is tough because then I think the risk is more justifiable because you're going to need to hit on some, you're going to need to take some big swings to knock off the Titans of your league. So this is about as, as big a swing as you can take.
A
Yeah, Shanahan loves to hand the ball to McCaffrey except in the super bowl with a lead. Too soon Welsh. Too soon. By the way, yes or no? Just a yes or no. Does it bother you at all that he hasn't played a lick of the preseason?
C
Not one iota.
A
All right, let's move on to the next running back on our list, Breeze hall, who could find himself in a timeshare. A guy that we were coveting just a couple years ago in fantasy but now rumors of a Braylon Allen shared backfield have certainly stunted I think a little bit of the love of Breece Hall. Pat, we'll start with you on this one. Draft or pass Breece hall at his current adp. Right now looking at him that number on real time adp, I love that I can get the real time numbers on fantasy Pros. He is RB 1943 overall pass.
B
Aaron Glenn has said all off season that he wants to use multiple backs and based on the preseason he was not kidding about that because we have seen the jets use all three backs with the starters. So you know, and I think we should heed the preseason because they're establishing usage patterns that they're going to follow in the regular season and jets are going to have a low scoring offense and like I know Breeze hall is a good pass catcher and like they're just not going to throw that much. I think in Justin Fields career starts he's averaged like 24 and a half pass attempts per game. So there's just not a lot here for Breeze hall. If he's not playing a ton of snaps and he's not going to play a ton of snaps. That's been made clear. So I don't have any interest in drafting him whatsoever.
A
All right, passing on Breeze Hall, Braylon Allen by the way, going as the 98th player off the board. Certainly if you want that timeshare, it's a lot cheaper. Twice as cheap actually to be specific. How about you Welsh draft or pass Breeze hall this year I am a.
C
Draft of Breeze Hall. I actually don't hate the ADP. It's actually moved up a little bit. Real time ADP yesterday was at 45, so he's moved up to 43. But it's still a pretty palatable cost in like the fourth round for drafts. And one of my big arguments would be like yeah, absolutely, like Braylon Allen is going to jump in there. But Breece hall last year, what he did wasn't as a big primary runner. Six games last year breeze had five or more catches. Five of those six games he finishes a top 15 RB in half PPR. Only six games did he receive more than 15 carries. Yet he finished as RB 17. And you know you're going to talk about Justin Fields and where they're going to pass. Well, he had one of the highest checkdown percentages of any quarterback with 100 or more pass attempts. It was about 15% last year, 2023 was about 12%. So those checkdowns are probably going to be going to Breece. And I just laid out if Breece is getting five or more catches a game, that's where he's going to make a lot of that money. This team also was dead last in the NFL in carries per game at 21. So if they're going to build this new offense around being a bit more aggressive, you've got a running quarterback. I think those carries are going to go way up. And you know if you even if you line up to like old offenses of run heavy and let's say they become a top 10 rushing offense, that's about eight to nine more carries. Those eight to nine more carries can go to Braylon Allen and Breece hall can still push up as like an RB20. So maybe you could argue that there isn't like like this incredible high upside if Braylon Allen is taking some and Justin Fields is out there but one of the highest check down quarterbacks out there in Fields, Breeze hall making his money off of the receiving game, going to be used more in the receiving game. I actually think in the fourth round especially full ppr, it's a big check half ppr. I think you're still solid and if people are really kind of fear mongering about Breeze hall and he falls, I think I'm going to jump on the opportunity because he's a big playmaker and I think Fields is going to open that up for him.
A
Well, so far the fear mongering hasn't changed too much. He's only moved a couple spots here in the last week, but I'm gonna have to break this tie here. Welch makes a lot of good points actually for Breeze hall and I don't think he has a player with zero value. I just don't think he has the value of where he's being drafted. So I'm going to pass on him because he's going around the same spot as running backs like Alvin Camara, Chuba Hubbard, James Connor, Tony Pollard who's got the backfield all to himself with the Spears injury too. And he's got several years of thousand yards rushing here. Very steady Eddie. I think those guys are just a little safer. If Breeze hall starts to drop into the 60s then I'm definitely listening on Bruce hall and that could happen this weekend. So pay attention to it. Follow the real time ADP over fancypros.com too. Again, this is their best new tool I think by a mile. I love it. Checking it all day long in every single draft I'm doing. Let's get to another running back. Let's get to a rookie running back who is actually going in the 50s right now. The 52nd player overall RB 22. A rookie with a lot of upside and a lot of hype. But maybe in a class with Ash and Genti, not as much exposure to the public eye than he would normally receive. However, RJ Harvey is the guy that Sean Payton has chosen here in the Denver backfield. So Welsh, I'm going to put this one to you. RJ Harvey, draft or pass in 2025.
C
I felt a couple different scenarios that you could play out. Could be draft could be pass. I ultimately landed on draft. We are back in so we are three state drafts here. The worry would clearly be that there's, you know, rotational issues like J.K. dobbins takes more away from this offense that we're, you know, overly concerned about. Maybe they're going to, you know, get McLaughlin in there. Like if they're going to run any type of rotation out there. Like that does make me worry. The thing is, is R.J. harvey is explosive. He is explosive as can be incredible jump cuts. I actually think his floor might be what we're looking at with Breece hall right now this season where it's like if he gets 12 to 13 carries a game, maybe it's a 15. He's catching the ball out of the back field. If he's playing any of that joker role. I mean, I think a lot of us have just kind of gone on and on about, you know, what these offenses can do as far as the running back in that system. And Harvey in open field is explosive, is absolutely explosive. But also, I know this has been talked about in different spots, but the offensive line win rate was like the best in the league last year for the Broncos. So if you've got this power offensive line, they're going to play screen passes, they want to get the ball in. Here's what I think could happen. I think that you could even have a couple weeks where it's a little dicey on RJ Harvey. You're getting Dobbins in. Dobbins is going to vulture in some short yardage touchdowns. I think that's what he's here for. But I think at the end of the day it's going to be impossible to get him off the field. RJ Harvey, he is too much of a playmaker for this offense. And I think around this cost area, the rb, you know, two, if you waited and you went high wide receiver and is around 51, I still think there's plenty of upside and like I said, I think the floor could be what breeze hall is right now. And I think the ceiling continues to jump up and up, especially if he gets more primary carries and continues to catch the ball out of the field. So I am a draft on R.J. harvey. All of us making our boy Debro proud, or at least me making him proud.
A
Will Pat speak for Pat quite yet? Pat RJ Harvey, draft or pass Draft.
B
I'll never get him as high in the rankings as Debro has him. But look, Denver, yeah, in all fairness, not going to happen. Denver was among the more desirable possible landing spots for a rookie running back this year. And while Harvey did not go in the first round like Ashton Genty or Omarion Hampton, he was the Broncos second round pick. Like they tabbed him to be a key performer on offense. He's going to play. And even if he splits time with J.K. dobbins, Sean Payton has a history of giving us two or more valuable fantasy assets at running back in any given year. Like think about the Alvin Camaro Mark Ingram combination. Or like much earlier in Sean Payton's tenure in New Orleans, it was like Pierre Thomas and Reggie bush and Deuce McAllister, like all three of them fantasy relevant. So, yeah, Sean Payton's running backs catch a lot of passes. Harvey's a good pass catcher. The dude is explosive. You know, he was a second rounder because he's quick, he's good lateral agility, good vision. He is worth drafting.
A
Well, I don't have to break the tie, but just so you know, I'm drafting him as well. So three for three. That's a clean sweep on RJ Harvey. I know why people are a little concerned too. I get that, you know, new things are very scary sometimes, but Sean Payton offenses. I think that's something you want to do. Plus Bo Nix, you know, excels in dumping off the football. If you watch him in college, that's kind of his strong suit. So look for RJ Harvey to benefit from that. And, and I think, and don't tell Derrick Brown I said this, but I think Derek's right. I think Dobbins is there to shave like 100 carries off the season for RJ Harvey. Put him in like the low 200 number and then probably get somewh 60, 70 targets. I think you could. That's the upside of what R.J. harvey could be. Go ahead.
C
The thing I wanted to add was like one thing I think also could float out there is be on the lookout early in the season that if you do get a little bit more Dobbins to start the year and the panic ensues because, you know, it's like, well, DBRO said he's the 15th running back and I drafted him there and people start freaking out. Harvey actually might become a really accessible trade asset in the first couple weeks as far as that you can get. You might be able to get him at a lower cost if you miss out in drafts. So maybe just keep that in the back of your mind first couple weeks. If Harvey doesn't come out the gate strong, he might be someone you want to target in the trade market. If people are freaking out because of Dobbins, I just, like I said, he is way too explosive in a playmaker to keep him off the field too much. I think that's going to rectify pretty quick, if not in week one.
A
Everybody likes a good value. How about a player that had a great season in 2024 and has now fallen all the way 20 spots in real time ADP over the last seven days. And his name is Joe Mixon. 102 overall RB 37. I know he's starting the year in the PUP. I get it. And you don't like to draft players who are already hurt, but at what point, Pat, do we say, hey, this guy's a tremendous discount. The theory is that at some point he does come back and play and people are aggressively still drafting Rushy Rice. More on him later in the show. Even though he's gonna miss six games. Now, I understand one's healthy, one is not, but still a third of the season, half of a season. A little bit of a difference there. So Joe Mixon, draft or pass at his current adp. That is falling very quickly.
B
Pass. And it would have to fall into the late rounds for me to have any interest whatsoever. A foot issue. No bueno. It's possible we don't see Joe Mixon this year with this foot issue. And even if we do see him, he's going to be running behind a really bad offensive line.
A
All right, so no for Pat Morris Welsh, how about you? Any scenario where you're taking a shot on mixing here late?
C
Zero. This is a hard pass. I have absolutely no interest. You could argue if he like his week. We have our week one rankings up. He's like, you know, in the 60s because he's not going to play or whatever. Like if that were his. If it's like RB60 in drafts. Yeah, maybe if he's like our, you know, RB5 or 6 on my team. But drafting a guy with like it's almost mystery injury, we just thank God we got information. But he was already on my no draft list because, you know, it's one thing to make these arguments about, you know, the Christian McCaffreys who have an injury history but are good right now. It's another thing to be drafting players that are currently on a on the list and going to miss significant time. That also is more of a mystery. So, no, I really don't have interest. I think they brought in Nick Chubb for a very specific reason. Woody Marks looks pretty nice. I don't think they're going to rush him back. The four weeks. To me, in a snap could turn into eight weeks and then could turn into him not coming back at all this season. You know him from a production standpoint in general, like, it did look good outside of the back end of the year. But there's. There's no risk reward here for me on Joe Mixon. I don't think I'm going to come out the other side feeling really great about it. And frankly, I'll bet you Joe Mixon is just going to get Cut really early, especially if you have a couple backs that just pop in the first week on waivers. People are going to just be like, you know what, I just don't even need to do this. So I have no interest in Joe Mix and hard pass.
A
All right? The boys are passing. I'm going to draft them late. It's got to be post 100, kind of where Pat's talking about, maybe even more. And that's where it's going and that's where it's trending. And it is a little mysterious, right? Some people call it a foot issue, some people calling an ankle issue. Which one is it? Why? Why won't anyone tell us anything in the NFL anymore? Can somebody tell me, screw the 49ers, screw the Texans. Tell me the truth. Just tell us the truth. But there's money involved here.
C
You can't handle the truth.
A
Well, that was draft court yesterday. Go back and watch on the YouTube channel. But there's, there's money and signing bonus at risk here. And if I know one thing about NFL players, they like to get paid. So I do expect Joe Mixon to be back in the four week window here when he returns. What it's going to look like, I don't know. But I do say when you start to dig a little deeper into this Joe Mixon scenario, there's money involved in terms of bonus, in terms of time he's gonna miss. That could be an issue here for him. If he doesn't play the number of games, it's something like $7 million could be on the line for him. That's a lot of money. It's a lot of money here for Joe Mixon. So I expect Joe Mixon back and I don't think we're overreacting. We should all react accordingly to running backs with lower leg or foot or ankle or whatever the hell is. Injury is that issue. But don't forget about the money. At the end of the day, these guys will push through certain things to get paid. What it looks like, I don't know. But we shall see. One more running back I want to talk about real quick, actually running back group, the Washington Commanders. Jacori Crosby, Merritt, Chris Rodriguez, Austin Eckler. I think it's a giant committee and I think anyone who's looking at this is lying to you. If they say they've got the secret sauce now all these guys are going at late ADPs. Rodriguez is kind of off the chart, really. It's Eckler and Koski Merritt. So Welsh, we'll start with you on this one draft or pass anybody in the Washington commander backfield at their adp.
C
I am going to pass on this and maybe that would be a little bit of a surprise. I think two weeks ago obviously there was less clarity with it. But like when Eckler was going into the, you know, late 40s or 50s or whatever, Crosby was obviously going like outside the top 50. So there was more upside. And then when the initial conversations around, you know, like Brian Robinson was going to get traded, there were still really good value. But now that it has been solidified, I think the values have jumped up a little too much. You see Echler going high into the 30s. We've seen Bill Crosby, Merritt going to like the seventh round. Some people posting around the fifth round. I think it's gone too crazy and I think there is too much of a committee here. I took a look at their carries last year you had 340. If you just base it off of last year. 340 non quarterback carries last year because don't forget Jayne Daniels is a really important part of this. So you had 340 non quarterback carries. 187 went to Brian Robinson. Echler had around 77. So let's call it like 270. That's left over, which seems like a lot. But you've also got Debo and Chris Rodriguez. Deebo is going to get carries in this offense. He's going to be annoying, especially when everyone's like, oh, here comes my Bill Crosby in the five, you know, red zone touchdown. Nope, it's going to go to Debo. Deebo is going to get some carries, Chris Rodriguez is going to get some carries. So if you start to play that game, I think Bill Crosky is probably sitting around like the 125 to 175 carry range. It doesn't make him not valuable. It just doesn't make sense. I think for where his ADP is going. These ADPs on both of these players have gone too high and full ppr. I do have interest in Echler if I'm in a really deep league. Chris Rodriguez is kind of a fun shot. It's so hard to get Bill Crosky right now, but I think it is messy with one of the best rushing quarterbacks in the NFL right now. And I just don't think there's going to be enough carries to go around to justify flex based drafting of most of these guys. So as a whole I'm going to.
A
Pass Pat pass or draft Pass on.
B
Bill, Draft Echler, draft Rodriguez. Bill is just so we know he is not going to get the high value touches, the pass receptions and the short yardage work. Dan Quinn has come out and said they're going to give the short yardage work to Chris Rodriguez and we know Echler is going to be the pass catching back. And as Welsh said, Jayden Daniels is going to get a ton of rushing yardage and oh by the way, Debo Samuel is around to get the occasional rushing attempt. So I just don't see Bill having enough value to generate. Like he's not going to live up to the mania that we're seeing with him right now. Whereas Echler I think is probably going to lead this backfield in snaps and maybe touches too and like is really easily draftable like in the mid to late 30s at running back. So I've been getting him a lot. And then Chris Rodriguez is like an end of the draft dart throw that I'm happy to take if I don't already have.
A

Don't miss the end of summer sale now at AutoZone until September 22nd. Restrictions apply. All right, gentlemen, let's take a look at the wide receivers. And we're going to play a little draft or pass with these guys. Let's start with a big dog, Tyreek Hill. Not that long ago, Tyree Kill was in that discussion for the number one overall player. But unfortunately, some injuries and the mess that is the Miami Dolphins have kind of, well, slowed everybody's love. A little bit of Tyree Kill. He's a little year older. The average ADP right now is somewhere around the 37th player off the board. Looking at the real time ADP, and that's an interesting value. Wide receiver, 15 for a player that still has the upside of a guy much, much higher drafted than that, coming off back to back years of explosive, enormous seasons and then one disappointing year. Larry, let's start with you, Pat, on this one. Tyreek Hill, draft or Pass in 20, 25. And mind you, you are getting a discount.
B
I'll pass. I've been on the fence, but the vibes just have not been great between Tyreek Hill and the team. And like, I don't know what the Miami passing game is anymore, Joe. Like, we, we saw. We saw Mike McDaniel, you know, direct his production of Honey. I shrunk the passing game last year with, like, Tua Tungavailoa having like an average depth of throw of under 6 yards and everything going to Devon HN and Johnnu Smith and like Waddle and Tyreek Hill getting totally left out of the mix. Tyreek Hill has had, like, I don't know, some egregious drops in the last year. It's just, I don't. Now he's in his 30s. Like, it's just too many things to worry about here. What if Tua gets hurt again? I'm just gonna pass. There's still other players I really like in that part of the draft, and there's too many questions with Tyreek.
A
See, I'm gonna draft him, Pat, and the reason is because he's going almost as the 40th player. There's been leagues where he's my third wide receiver. Like, if you're drafting from the one spot. We've done a lot of mock drafts where I take Chase and then in the, you know, second, third round, I get some guys and all of a sudden sometimes Tyree Kill, him even make it back to like the fourth round. And how do I pass on them as my third wide receiver? And Welsh, I don't know where you are, but you made a case for the gloriousness of Christian McCaffrey. But he cost you the seventh player overall. There's a potential that, you know, you could have Tyree Kill and he could end up being a top five player again. We're talking about a guy who not once, but twice, 1700 yards in this offense over those two years, 20 touchdowns. Right. And last year, yeah, wide receiver 21. It was disappointing. He was also injured a lot, had a couple different issues and ailments. Yeah, he is a problem child. Yeah, Miami is a hot mess. But Welsh, it is a discount. Can you pass on that draft or pass Tyree Kill?
C
I can. I'm. I'm a pretty firm pass on Tyree Kill. He's on my. I mean, well, how you laid it out, I suppose if he was a wide receiver three, I can play that game. But I, I really haven't been in that position. I mean, if you look at our ADPs currently, he's actually the 12th wide receiver on the consensus ADP. Real Time has moved him down a little bit to 15, but he's going to be pushed up.
A
Just to be clear. I mean, in roster construction, I'm a early wide receiver builder. So if he's going as a 37th guy and I've got a top, you know, two or three pick here, I can get Chase or CD Lamb or somebody like that. I can turn around and take a, you know, a lad McConkey. And then the third round, Tyree kills just sitting there basically in that early ADP. And I can go three wide outs right away. It's a 0 RB kind of build, but it's possible. I just want to make sure I'm not drafting him as a third wide receiver in the adp. I'm talking about a roster construction standpoint. Go ahead.
C
Yeah, I know. And that's like the layout. Like you've done a lot of like 4th and 5th round running backs. It was a lot more palatable too when like Hampton and Trevan Henderson were going later. They're now not. So like, that's an area where I think you're kind of making those decisions. One of the distinctions I would put against McCaffrey and Tyreek Hill is we have seen Tyreek till Tyreek Hill's production go down last year. That's not. I mean, I guess you can make some of the arguments on McCaffrey, but like he was heavy, heavily, heavily tied to Tua. As we saw Tua and his air yards drop that like had a very direct effect to Tyreek Hill now in his favor. He had like a massive increase in his areas around like 1300 versus the just under 1000 that he put up. But he's also already dealing with an oblique issue. So 31 years old, you've already got some oblique stuff. You saw some production that was a downtick last year. You can make the arguments that with John who out this could open up more opportunities. But like they didn't. It was like a 10% design. Plays they ran for Tyreek Hill last year, which I thought was weird and maybe, maybe they'll change. I just don't feel optimistic about it. Eleven games he had finished wide receiver 30 or worse last year. I'm a jaden, I'm a waddle guy. I think Jalen Waddle is going to be the guy that's going to have the big bounce. I think Ollie Gordon is going to move in this offense more. Would like to pass the ball to Hn, who's kind of, you know, almost becomes like a pseudo number one wide receiver. So the whole jono to me doesn't correlate to Tyree Kill getting a big increase. I think it's a possibility with the upside that we know of Tyree Kill, that he could kind of be a value. But I think where ADPs are, where he's essentially a wide receiver. One oblique issue already out there, Tua in general having such an effect on him. He's a pass for me. I don't want a lot of shares. I don't have a lot of shares because I also don't. My builds don't necessarily go three straight wide receiver. I might feel a little bit different if I was in that spot. But.
A
But I'm with Pat and to your point, I don't think I would want him as my number one wide receiver. If you're a heavy RB guy in the third round there, you're looking now at Tyree Kill being your number one. No, that's. That's a tough pill to swallow. Let's talk about Ted McMillan. See if we can get on the same page with this one. Ted McMillan. Look, number one wide receiver for me in this draft class, that's for sure. Wide receiver, 26 overall in real ADP is actually moving up the boards three spots in the last seven days, all the way up to 59 overall. So, Welsh, are we drafting or passing Tela McMillan?
C
We are drafting. Give me Tetero and McMillan 100%. The news that we had today as we were recording this, Adam Thielen is officially out of town. You could do it like both ways, where you could be like, oh, this is huge, you know, because Thielen's going to get the target share. I think some people could also just roll their eyes, be like, oh, there's too many guys. Does it really matter? I think it does. I mean, Thielen was a really big safety blanket, so that's like a plus for Jalen Coker as well going into the slot. But I think it's just another huge boost. And I think it's also the team's confidence level being shown as well that they're willing to give that type of a consistent player. They're still trying to build up Bryce Young in that they are comfortable because of what Tetaroa has done. I mean, the college grades through the roof, like 90 plus PFF. College grades. Almost 17 yards per reception, 1300 yards last year. Great success rate versus press, which I get really excited about. He's going to find just really good points of separation against cornerbacks as a rookie and he's going to get tons of targets. And Bryce Young, by the way, started Cook at the end of the year, finished his QB2 from Weeks 16 to 18, had seven touchdown, no picks. He was actually running a lot as well. But I think Jadaroa is put in a position where he could be a slam wide receiver one this year. It's funny because I feel like there's Marvin Harrison last year vibes, but he was going as a wide receiver one, and I think Ted Row is in a better spot this year that he's going to be, as Bachmann would say, peppered with targets. And I think he could live up to what we wanted Marvin to be last year. And he's coming at a not as lower of a cost because he continues to rise. But I love Tedaroa as a wide receiver three, he's probably going to have to be comfortable as a wide receiver too, and I'm down with it.
A
Yeah, Pat, a lot of this is about projecting next year too, and I think we're going to be looking at McMillan probably as a top 15 wide receiver. So I'm comfortable drafting him as the ADP continues to rise all the way up until 20, maybe even up until 15, to be honest with you. Like I'm willing to take that risk. I think he's this year's Brian Thomas Jr. The guy that people aren't really on enough that is going to help you win a fantasy league. Where are you? Are you draft or pass at the ADP that is climbing currently for Tedrell McMillan.
B
Couldn't agree more with you guys. I have him wide receiver 16 there you go. My rankings like I he steps into a high volume role right away as the day 1x receiver top target earner for Bryce Young. Panthers are probably gonna have to throw quite a bit because their defense does not look very good on paper and not only are they going to throw to him a lot period, they're probably going to throw to him a lot in the end zone because he's 6 foot 5 and has a huge wingspan. So good touchdown potential here. Dude runs good routes. Like Welsh said, he's great against press coverage. He averaged 108.8 yards per game over his final two college seasons and he was a top 10 draft pick. Like this one is easy guys.

Let's get to the next wide receiver here on our list to discuss. To draft or pass. Well, it's another grouping. Well, Rushy Rice was the other part of the news, not just Adam Thielen Tay Rushy Rice taking the six game suspension. So now we know the waiting game is over. Now we're going to watch that ADP fall in real time because it is going to make a difference this weekend. You watch, he is going to fall from that 75 overall that I'm looking at on fantasy pros. He actually was down only two spots. I think we're gonna go more like double digits by the time we get to Saturday or Sunday. Drafting. So Pat, let's talk about Rice. Let's talk about Worthy of the current ADP and where they're going to be fluctuating. Do you want to be involved? It's kind of like the commander situation, right? This is more of a choose your path here. Are you drafting or passing these guys in the Kansas City wide receiver room?
B
This is my first qualified answer. I'm going to say draft at appropriate prices.
A
So what's that? Let's talk about it.
B
So I just got Rasheed Rice in the ninth round of a home league draft last weekend. I think that's pretty decent. Like yes, he's going to miss six games, but then you're going to have him for the back half of the season, the fantasy playoffs. Like that's pretty good. Although I don't think Rice is going to give you the sort of production he did early last year when Xavier Worthy had not established himself. Because Xavier Worthy did come on late last year over The Chiefs last eight games, including the playoffs. Worthy at 50 catches, that's a 100 catch pace. But he's not catching 100 balls with Rice around. Rice is not catching 100 balls with Worthy around. I think they can both be like wide receiver. Rice when he plays is probably a wide receiver 2 and Worthy is probably a wide receiver 3 all year, maybe a wide receiver 2 while Rice is out. So don't overpay. If you pay something appropriate for what those guys are going to be when they play, then I think it's okay. Because I do think now that Patrick Mahomes has weaponry and now that he's got Josh Simmons, who's a stud guarding his blindside at left tackle, I do think the Chiefs passing game is going to click again this year.
A
All right, back to you here. Welsh drafter pass Rice, Worthy. Any of these guys in the Wide receiver room for the Chiefs.
C
This is a tough one. I mean, if I get to do the thing that Pat's doing, I'm going to kind of agree. Like, I think there's caveats to it at right costs. I think if we just play the game, I think I'm going to just say pass as a general statement, but I would put caveats to it. The one thing I think that's goofy about this is like, I'm shocked that everyone was so comfortable taking him where he was prior the real ADP. Prior to the real ADP, he was going off as wide receiver 27, and he's now moved down to 2032. And you're like, oh, people are going to drop. Why? I had him in the 40s right now. I thought. I think eight games was on the table, and if they drop that on you in week three or four and you lose significant time, that was a no draft for me. So I actually think this is a positive. Please suspend him at the top of the year. Give him just six games. Maybe he pushes it down to five, and then I've got him the rest of the way through. In a time where, you know, it's a little bit more recovery, I actually think that gives a much clearer path to Rasheed Rice to now I think he becomes kind of draftable. So, you know, if I can get Rice at. I mean, you should. You should probably value him in the same general vicinity as like a Chris Godwin. You know, I know Godwin just got like passes physical, but, you know, you're probably going to have PUP in four games. It's the same general sense. But I think, like, he. I believe he's going to get back to that big production. As much as, you know, we like Xavier Worthy, he had a lot of nice design runs, but, you know, low yards after the catch. Like, I know like Adot can get up there, but I think you're gonna have a lot of short design stuff where it's gonna be middle of the field. Kelsey and first target, Rasheed Rice. That was what they established last year, and I don't think they're gonna move away from it. So all of this to be said, like, I don't love this for Worthy, and I think he's too expensive right now with these question marks. I think Rice at the current value still doesn't make sense. So that's why they're both going to be passes. But my caveat would be Rice at the right price as he continues to fall as like A wide receiver 5 or something is like something I will definitely do with the clarity I'm gonna.
A
Be pass here and I'm gonna keep it simple and tell you why. Because Rushy Rice needs to drop way further. He's missing six games. That's almost half of your regular fantasy season. That's a long time for a player to miss. And I think the inverse is that Xavier Worthy's adp, which I already don't love, is going to move up because people are going to look at and say, rice is out. That means Worthy xyz. And I think sometimes that could be a little overrated sometimes. I know we saw the end of the season where they start to take up a little bit, but there's no guarantees here that that's going to be the case and it's going to carry over. So for me, one going not far enough, one gonna go too far. I'm out at that current value. More wide receivers to talk about. But first, I want to talk about these shirts we're wearing again. Again. Chubby is one of the sponsors of today's show. We're wearing the NFL versions of the Chubby shirts today. Welsh, I gotta tell you, man, it's light, it's breathable. It is like a very smooth shirt. Like, I gotta tell you, the feel of the Chubby shirt, unbelievably good. I was shocked. They sent it to me and I was like, okay, these are a little loud for me because I'm a little bit more subdued kind of a guy. But I love this shirt so much. I know it's the thing. Well, clothing wise, I'm kind of chill. I don't care. It's loud. It's out there. I'm ready to go. I love the shirt. It is so comfortable. I. I would wear it to play golf. I told Fitzy he should have it. Go get his Chubby shirt to go play golf in. I would wear around the pool. I would wear it out. I love this shirt. It's one of my favorites right now. And this is the first time I got to wear it here because we're on the show. So, Welsh, anything to add on the Chubby shirts, say? Because I gotta tell you, like, I was blown away by the quality of the Chubby shirt. I was like, okay, another NFL thing that they're sending us. Not this, man. This is like the 101 of shirts.
C
I will tell you this. I'm a big polo guy. Own a lot of polos for a lot of shows. You're a big suit Guy. I'm a big polo guy. Hands down, the most comfortable polo that I own. It's not even close. Yeah, absolutely. Love it. And this tells you draft Christian McCaffrey and be comfortable all year long.
A
Well, I don't know, maybe Chubby's can make you comfortable with cmc. But I'll tell you what, at least you'll be comfortable while you're in your draft. You can get $10 off. It awaits you right now with the promo code. Fantasy pros go to chubby shorts.com fantasypros that's where you want to go again. That's chubby shorts.com fantasyPros that way you can get your $10 off when you use that promo code. I'm telling you man, the Chubbies has some really cool stuff on there. These shirts are fantastic. They look like button downs. They're just the polo though, as Welsh was pointing out there. So go get your Chubby shirts today. Full endorsement here of Joey P and the Welsh. We love the Chubby shirts and we just like saying Chubbies on the air. Not gonna lie. All right, let's get to draft or pass this next wide receiver, Travis Hunter. Now he's not going to be the number one in Jacksonville. He's going to be a two way player or at least partial two way player. So there's a little bit more risk here when you're playing more snaps here. Route running is a little bit in question. Well, I'll keep this one simple. I'm not drafting Travis Hunter at his current adp. He is going way too close to Pearsall, to Golden, to Igbuka. All those three wide receivers I like more in their respective situations. I think they could carve out those roles as the number one guy in their offense at wide receiver. Receiver Pierce hall has that route. Golden does. Egg Bucket would take an injury, but still at least the number two of Baker Mayfield is a pretty good spot to be even to open the season. Travis Hunter. I just can't get there at the current adp. Can you get there? Draft or pass Travis Hunter Welsh I can.
C
I am a draft. Now I will say based on the names that you just said, like I got Ricky Pierce all way higher. I have him higher than Hunter.
A
That's where he's going in real time. Adp. He's right there.
C
Yeah. No, I mean according to adp, Egbuca and Ricky Pierasol are below Travis Hunter. I have both of those players over. I'm just saying based. Based on that rank, I get what you're saying on those players. But I also think like him post 30 right now makes a lot of sense. A lot has been made about the production of slot receivers in Liam Cohen's offense. So just to point out 2022 get around 25 points from Cooper Cup. Chris Godwin put up 20 plus and that looks like the role that we're going to see Travis Hunter in. It has also been stated that he is a full time wide receiver and a part time cornerback. That's been a big discussion. Pat and I have done like a gajillion shows as of recent, you know, over the last couple months where like that's the big question that I think a lot of people are struggling with and it looks like he's going to be a full time wide receiver. If you look at like Matt Harmon's route tree stuff, he's actually a pretty big winner kind of across the board. However they want to end up using him and the projections are kind of wild in the market. I have seen a very reputable place project over 80 catches which would be around the 20 most receptions for a wide receiver in the NFL. I think this offense is going to feature him running out of the slots going to be a good spot. You can have your arguments about if Trevor Lawrence stinks or not, but I think they're going to be passing the ball a decent amount. He's the ball is going to get in his hands and he's going to be a big playmaker and you know, like I come back to that route running, however they end up wanting to use him whether it's going to be across the field or not. When the big plays aren't there for Brian Thomas, it's going to be there for Travis Hunter. And I think he is going to be out there way more than people are expecting because it's. I still see the arguments. Well, if he's a 60% snap guy, I think the snap percentages and offense are going to be way up and we'll be talking about him. So for a wide receiver of that talent to be going outside the top 30, especially when we're talking about Teo and McMillan, I think those guys might be a lot closer than you expect. This offense and this coaching staff breeds to players like him in that slot. And I think Travis Hunter is still a smash. Draft Pat.
A
Break the tie. Travis Hunter draft or pass.
B
Well, she said they're going to feature him. You know, there's this guy named Brian Thomas Jr. Who's really good at football.
C
He's a Pretty good player.
B
So, yeah, I'm going to fade the feature thing. I. I'm going to pass on Travis Hunter and I do have a fear of missing out, largely because he's going to play that slot role which we saw be really valuable in Liam Cohen's offense last year. But yes, they say he's going to be mostly offense and Liam Cohen is saying it's going to be like an 80% snapchair for him, but, like. Like, I don't want to assume that's locked in. Like, they could adjust the dials on the offensive and defensive usage as the season goes on. Oh, and by the way, the Jaguars cornerbacks, not. Not very good. Not very good. And they've got the Bengals on the schedule. You think they're going to want to leave Travis Hunter on the bench when T. Higgins and Jamar Chase are running wild on them? Like, I just. I have concerns about that. Like, they might shift that a little bit in season. So, a. It's a reluctance pass for me on Travis Hunter.
A
Yeah, it's a pass at the current group around him. For me, I think this is. This is not as. Like, I love the player. I love Travis Hunter. Loved him in college. Super fun, very talented young man. Great guy. Love to root for him. But again, the adp, that's where my problem is. Let's switch gears, gentlemen, and let's wrap things out with a lightning round here. Okay, we're gonna go through draft or pass. I'm gonna give you some quarterbacks, some tight ends and some wide receiver rooms currently, and you tell me, draft or pass. All right, Everybody got their hands on their buzzers. Let's play lightning round. Draft or pass. Let's start with Rams wide receivers at the current adp. Fitz. The bacchotomy has not happened yet for Matthew Stafford. We'll see after the season if he has that surgery. Draft or pass. The Rams wide receivers pass.
B
I worry about mutual cannibalization with Puka and Devonte and the back issues.
A
Okay. Welsh draft or past the Rams wide receiver room.
C
Even Jimmy Garoppolo couldn't screw it up. Those wide receivers are way, way too talented. I am going to draft. Puka becomes a little bit tougher. Devonte Adams keeps kind of sliding in drafts. Way too talented. There's going to be tons of volume regardless of who that quarterback is or backyatomies. Even though I don't want Jimmy Garoppolo or Bennett. But I'm going to say draft.
A
Pukinakua, by the way, sliding all the way to 17 overall. That's where I'm. I'm looking for that discount today in a draft. So I'm gonna draft because now I'm getting a discount and I like that. All right, let's go to the Saints wide receiver room. Hard pass for me. Rattler shuck, doesn't matter. Olave, massive concussion issues. I'm just worried about that kid. I'm a hard pass. Welsh, where are you for the Saints wide receiver room?
C
I think it's a draft. They're all just so low. I mean, the first wide receiver Olave checks in at like wide receiver 34 and half PPR. There definitely are some concerns and some worries, but Olave is a pretty easy slide in at like wide receiver 4. That defense is going to be bad. That offense might. The worry would be it's too bad, but there's going to just be volume to these players. Rashid Shahid's kind of interesting. Vale as the slot I kind of like, but this is really built around Olave being too much of a value. So I'm going to say draft.
A
All right. Fitzy draft or pass the sinks Draft Olave.
B
Even the worst passing offenses in the NFL usually give us around 3, 000 passing yards. Olave has averaged 2.21 yards per outrun for his career. That's up with CD Lamb and Jamar Chase. Like, he is really, really good and really undervalued.
A
All right, how about Justin Fields? Doesn't always look pretty pat, but it's fantasy points. Not the greatest thrower necessarily all the time in the pocket, but fantasy points galore. Drafter pass. Justin Fields pass.
B
I'm going to pass. I just think the passing outlook is so bleak here. I know he's going to run and then like there's double injury risk, Joe. Because not only could Fields get hurt, what if Garrett Wilson gets hurt? What would draft Kings and fanduel be setting the over under number at on Fields passing yardage if Garrett Wilson didn't play at a game like 99 and a half. I mean, it's just bleak.
A
Well, I mean, how could you say something for the jets will go wrong? Pat, that seems like a crazy thing to say out loud. Well, Sean, draft or pass Justin Fields draft.
C
You're not drafting him for his passing acumen. You want him for the rushing. He was QB7 last year in fantasy points over six games. 2022. We've talked about it. QB6, better offensive line, better pieces out there. The rushing upside makes him a top 10 quarterback.
A
Draft. QB14 and Super Flex. Yeah, I'll draft them there. I like him as a second quarterback in super flex leagues. All right, let's get to Drake May. Oh, the hype train is real for Drake May. I'm wearing a Patriot Patriots shirt so I'm going to sit this one out for a while. I'll see what the boys have to say. First draft or pass Drake May getting a lot of helium recently in a lot of our discussions on the shows.
C
Welsh, you know what, I actually wanted to say pass here but his value is too good. I think Drake May is fun. I think a lot of it's built around if you can see more design stuff for him to run. There's more upside but I kind of think he's going to stick around like QB between QB 10 and 14 this year. I don't think he's going to crack that top five. But his value is too good. He's QB16 on the 80. So even though I don't see as quite as much upside, I think you got to draft him because that value he has not gotten. He doesn't risen up because of all the buzz and hype.
A
Pat in real time ADP, he's QB13. We just did draft court yesterday where I said perfect scenario late round Dak Prescott and then back it up just in case with Drake May. I did that last night in a draft. I think that's a good practice. What do you think?
B
Draft Drake May is my QB8. I think he could give you rushing numbers very similar to what Justin Fields. Maybe not quite what Fields is going to, but he is a vastly superior passer to Justin Fields.
A
All right, just got engaged yesterday. Travis kelsey real time ADP for him. The 67th player, the sixth tight end number 68 somewhere around there overall his holding steady right now. Pat Draft pass the aging Travis Kelsey after a year last year where he did seem to lose a step although the stats were still pretty solid in ppr.
B
I'm going to say pass just because I want Bowers or Kittle early or I want Kraft or Tyler Warren late.
A
Late or great. That works for me. Welsh, how about you Draft or pass Kelsey?
C
I'll put a ring on it but I think that's a, that's a positive of what Fitzy's saying. Like there are other guys that I want but you know you have Rice out. He's going to be a red zone option. He got all the targets in the world so I will put a ring on it but I think it comes with a little bit Of a caveat.
A
Yeah, I think caveat is wise. I think the later you get him, the better. But in the middle, I'm kind of more like where Pat is later. Great. Speaking of late, maybe Pat just gave away the game here. Tyler Warren. Last year, Brock Bowers was tight end 10. Right now he is tight end 11. Fitzy, it's pretty safe to say you are drafting Tyler Warren, correct?
B
Yeah. It's like George Kittle and Jeremy Shocky had a baby and it was Tyler Warren. So, yes, it's a lot of. A lot of havoc after the catch.
A
I wonder how much tequila was consumed for that to happen. Welsh drafter past Tyler Warren as the late tight end that everybody wants, we're drafting.
C
I don't want it to rise up too much, but if you miss on the top three, you should be targeting Craft or Tyler Warren on the back end of the tight end. So that is a draft.
A
Yeah. Despite Daniel Jones being there, I too, am drafting Tyler Warren. You know, he was pretty good with Evan Ingram back in the day, too. I think Daniel Jones may be a little bit of a breath of fresh air from New York getting out of New York. Maybe a little reset. Maybe he could at least give us something good in Indianapolis. We shall see. I'm not holding my breath too much, but I do like the ADP of Tyler Warren, to Fitzy's point. So there you have it. The guys who were drafting, the guys that were passing on and the guys who are, well, circumstantial evidence for all of that. But what do you think? Drop your comments below. Are you drafting these players? Are you passing on these players? Who's your biggest pass? I want to know. Drop those names in the chat here on the YouTube. Don't forget to subscribe. | Player/Topic | Draft/Pass (Consensus) | Key Reasoning | |----------------------------|----------------------------------|--------------------------------------------------------------------| | Christian McCaffrey | Reluctant Draft (at cost) | Upside huge; injury risk means elite leagues only, ideally at value| | Breece Hall | Neutral/Pass (at ADP) | Committee risk, only value at major discount | | RJ Harvey | Draft | Rookie with clear path, explosiveness; all high | | Joe Mixon | Pass | Injury, PUP, uncertain role | | Commanders RBs | Pass (maybe cheap Ekeler dart) | Unclear roles, rising ADP, too messy | | Tyreek Hill | Pass at WR1 price, Draft only at heavy discount | Health, Tua-dependent, offense trending away | | Tett McMillan | Strong Draft | WR1 role, talent + volume, future top-15 WR | | Chiefs WRs (Rice/Worthy) | Draft if steep discount, otherwise pass | Suspension/injury ADP changes | | Travis Hunter | Mixed: Pass (Joe, Pat), Draft (Welsh) | Two-way role, slot usage, but crowded and better values nearby | | Rams WRs | Mixed: Draft at discount | Talent can overcome QB issues if price is right | | Saints WRs | Draft | Volume, talent, late cost | | Justin Fields (QB) | Split: Draft in superflex (Joe/Welsh), pass in 1QB (Pat) | Rushing upside vs. passing risk and Jets chaos | | Drake Maye (QB rookie) | Draft | Rushing, upside, late cost | | Travis Kelce (TE) | Draft if late; pass early | Aging, but still high floor when cheap | | Tyler Warren (TE rookie) | Strong Draft (late) | Athletic, after-catch, upside |
If you want to print a cheat sheet or set draft priorities, this episode cuts out the fluff and nails the actionable points, especially when it comes to adjusting your board for late-offseason injuries and camp news.
