welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy Football podcast. It is me, Joey P. Joe P. Zappia and today, well, today we're going to feed you your vegetables. That's right. Because the worst thing that you could do is be fed a bad set of takes by people who get bored trying to make something out of nothing. And today is not that show. I want to steer everyone away from bad advice and from bad things because the rookie running back class and quarterback class, it's not great. Okay, now you should listen to the show today and I'm going to tell you why. Because I think when you're out there, people get bored. They they all of a sudden have shows to do and things to say and they keep trying to make things happen that might not happen. Now there will be some guys we talk about today that will make fantasy Impact. But the thing to take away from this is truth and honesty and to speak truth to power. Today, Jake Seeley from the athletic debro, Derrick Brown, the king of bros, and myself, Joey P. So we are here today on the program to walk you through the rookie class. Talk about some dynasty guys, some deeper league throws, maybe some situations that could possibly work out over time. But it's one thing the three of us agree on. It's that there's not a whole lot to get excited about when it comes to these positions in 2026. Some. Just not a lot. Jake Seeley, you're somebody that always likes to rain on people's parades. So would you like to add anything to the opening to the show that I just threw out there for the audience?

I mean, I'll spin it here, slightly positive if you want. I just tweeted it out earlier today for ready for this show. Over the past 15 seasons, running backs drafted on day three who had at least 120 points. So about RB36, that's about the average RB36, somebody we care about. There's been 22. It's about one and a half per season. Of those 10 points per game or more, six. But here's the good news. It's the seasons after 104 seasons of that after. Of 120 points, 69 of 10 points per game or more. A lot of those are the same running back a couple times, two, three, four seasons. But the running backs that did this averaged about four and a half seasons after. After year one. So they usually play five or six years and then have some RB3 or better value. So don't get excited for this year. But there's potential in years 2, 3, 4 and 5 where it doesn't. It's not a death knell like I know a lot of people are talking about that right now is day three is a death knell to their careers. It's not. It's just pretty much a death nail for the rookie season.

Okay, that's a. That's a very healthy approach. Dbro, you're a very healthy guy. You know, it's sort of kind of. Let's talk about it. So let's talk about the general take here because I think what Jake is saying is correct, which is the immediate impact here is tough for a lot of players in these two positions. We're going to talk about today. It doesn't mean never. It just means you have to be patient. So it's more of a long term look. It's More of a dynasty look and also a scenario that's going to present itself over the years where you start to say these guys almost get forgotten about because next year's class is going to come around and everyone's going to get real excited about them. And then there's these post hype guys that all of a sudden start to fall into your laps and drafts. And I think that might be the thing to remember going into 2027 draft season.

Yeah, I don't disagree with that. And it makes just intuitive sense too of like players, if they earn their way up the depth chart, then the following season after they do that, then you're looking at better productivity. So we're not talking about them today on this show, but I guess people should feel better about Cam Scatter Boo and maybe Bill this year.

Certainly Cam Scatter Boo. I feel pretty good about Cam Scatter Boo right now. I was a little worried going into the draft. Not going to lie. All right, so let's get after it. Let's talk about.

He's one of the ones that was over 10 fantasy points per game but didn't hit the 120 fantasy points because he got hurt. So there's a couple of those from his body.

That was unfortunate set of circumstances there. So we're going to talk about some of these names first, the guys who could actually make an impact. And obviously the biggest name here to start is Jeremiah Love. We know that he was selected here by the Arizona Cardinals early and I think not too much to the surprise of us, because if you watch all of our mock draft shows, dbro, we had him going as early as three and, and I remember when that worm started to turn about a month ago and we started talking about, well, you know, why not? Like, just because they signed Algeria doesn't mean you should all of a sudden pass on arguably the most impactful offensive player in this draft just because you happen to get another guy or just because you have a couple other guys on the roster. So let's talk about Algier's presence. Let's talk about Jeremiah Love, what that pathway looks like. And with a staunch reminder of the first six weeks for any rookie running back has been difficult, I would say, in the last three to four years of fantasy.

Yeah, I mean, I think like, you know, the bull case for Jeremiah Love is pretty easy. I mean, you want to talk about the talent and stuff, but as soon as we get to the landing spot and in the backfield, then it's like, okay. And then not even Talking about quarterback, it's like, okay, let's rain on the parade. So there are definitely like a lot of worries in the sense of is James Conner still on this roster? Is Tyler's year, Tyler Algier going to be a thorn in the side like he was for Bijan Robinson? Those things are present. Although, you know, I, I think James Connor, with them reworking his contract, I'll be very surprised if he's not traded before week one. We shall see. But the quarterback stuff is still a big worry. Like, even if, Good Lord, if you're a Carson Beck stand, I don't even know what to tell you. Like you didn't watch the film. But you know, right now with volume, I've got him at RB12 right now. I think like as we kind of move to the off season, I'm just going to stay in line with consensus. Like, I don't want to be like too far above or too far below on Jeremiah Love. But based off the talent, he's definite. I mean like he's going to be a top 15 back. Probably just volume and talent. So I don't want to put too much of all the Atlanta and Tyler Algier stuff on to a different situation, a different coaching staff and saying that that is all going to come to fruition and he will be a thorn in the side.

Yeah, it's. It's like, hey, how do you ruin an exciting rookie running back? I know I got two words for you, Tyler Algier. That's what you do. No matter what happens.

parade, he just ruins everything. Jake Seeley, I know you've already got your ranks up early because I know, I know how you roll. I know the ceiling. I spent a lot of time with you in my life. So let's talk about it here. Where do you have. Believe me, no one should apologize more than you. I agree. So Jeremiah Love, where do you have him right now in your early overall rankings? Because I'm sure some people are already talking about him as a late first round pick, maybe even higher. I know when draft season comes, people are going to get real hyped up and real excited for the new things. But how do you pump the brakes and get a reasonable value on him? What do you think that is right now?

It is at the end of round two as RB12. That's where I have in my rankings. And it's not the fact that I had Jeremiah Love. I said there's no way he's not an RB one immediately like we're talking about 55% of the work.

Jameer Gibbs did that last year and was RB1 as his rookie season he only had 46% of the touches and he was RB10. Like he is another version. He's bigger Jameer Gibbs. But all that being said is we have to associate what I see as the risk and non risk in players in front of them. Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker, Marion Hampton, maybe if you want to say the injury H. Angenti now you're up inside the top five. So it's not the fact that I don't like Love and it's not the fact that I'm that scared about his landing spot. It's just the fact that everybody in front of him less questions. They've actually performed in the NFL. There aren't teams that don't have to worry about that kind of timeshare. So I am at 12 if you want to argue to take him a few spots because you're just like, I know he'll outperform but Saquon Barkley or something like that. I'm not going to say oh you're stupid to do so or whatever, but I wouldn't go that far. But I think 12 is a fair spot for him. I don't think you're going to get him there. I think by the time we get to August he's going to be drafted.

I yeah, I could not agree more. Let's talk about another running back too who landed in a spot that certainly makes a lot of sense. We had a lot of mock drafts here on the program all off season leading up to the NFL draft where the Seahawks just took Jadarian Price because it made a lot of sense. And guess what? That's what the Seahawks did. So Zach Charbonnet coming back from an ACL tear again, we don't have a real timetable for him yet. Emmanuel Wilson signed this off season, right. Who at times when he had to replace Josh Jacobs last year performed I would say admirably. I know I had streaming him in a few leagues myself. So what does the Seattle backfield look like and how does it affect price immediately in 2026? Because it seems like a really good camp could open up a path for a lot of playing time for him early on. But what are your thoughts, Jake?

I'm a huge fan of this landing spot. Mostly when we were talking about pre draft, Dane Brugler mocked Mike Washington them and I was like, ooh, Mike Washington is the lead of the Seahawks. And then the more I thought about it and then after talking with Fitz I was like, you know what, I don't love the fit actually. I don't want Mike Washington in a stretch zone running scheme I don't like. I don't think he actually does well in that. I think he needs to be more power between the tackles. And then they take Price which you know this. I compare it to Raheem Mostert. Raheem Mostert in a stretch zone rushing scheme that they plan to have for the Seahawks in this. Yes, sign me up. I don't care if he's not catching the ball. Like that's how excited I am about it. Like 240250 plus touches without being involved in the passing game. And I say without 15 to 20 receptions. Let's say you've been put it way low. Not even like a 30, just 15 to 20 receptions and I'm talking about a locked in RB2. Now is he going to be in the RB1 conversation? No. Would I still take Breece hall and Javante Williams and Josh Jacobs?

But he's a guaranteed RB2 in my opinion because what you just said admirably. I think Emmanuel Wilson is admirably a running back. He's a slightly above backup average running back who can be called upon when needed. He does well in his one of his times on the field but I don't think he's an answer for anybody's team. And this is clear you brought up the other part. Charbonnet, the timeline if we estimate off previous injuries like this is November, December at earliest. Like he might be done for 2026 period. So and the other reason when we talk dynasty why I like this so much is because what are we going to get from Charbonnet to prove that the Seahawks 11 and back or 2 like any team is going to give him a chance to be. He's going to end up like Javante Williams but like Javante Williams was least on the field and I know underperforming but like people are going to be taking a flyer on him next year not knowing if he can even be the lead. He's probably not going to get better than a backup job in 2027.

Debro, you've been often described on the show as giving admirable performances. So what do you think about Jadarian Price and his ability to give an admiral performance and to Jake's point too about Charbonnet with the late return, but also we don't know how he looks in that return. We've seen a lot of guys not quite look the same in that immediate return necessarily. So it's a very dicey situation. I think there's real intrigue here for Price. I'm not sure how aggressively you've ranked him, but I'm curious to find out.

I've got him in that borderline, like low end RB2 range. I think, like just, you know, sifting through names. I, I agree. Like, I don't think we see like a fully healthy version of Charbonnet who, who knows, when he hits the field. Like, we could talk about George Holani, Emmanuel Wilson. This all goes back to like his floor is probably the Kenneth Walker role of last year. And if we throw a few more touchdowns on top of that, then we're talking about RB2 production. And the ceiling is he's the guy this year. So, yes, I'll be taking a lot of shots on Jadarian Price. You know, I mean, again, like, I don't see like this offense itself, like, and this kind of leads into like, you know, a player we're going to talk about next. But like Seattle had the 8th highest neutral rushing rate last year. I don't think that's changing. Like, we're not going to go from last year. Seattle concoction and chemistry of how they wanted to run their, their offense and now they're gonna what, become pass happy? So Jadarian Price is going to get

a lot of work. Well, Mike Washington I thought was going to get a lot of work and then he landed with the Raiders, which I really just, you know, sand in the shoes, man. It is not good. So you still think though, there's a path for him to make an impact? I'm, I can't wait to hear this. Take deeper. I mean, you gotta sell me on that.

I think there's a path to make an impact because the Raiders know that they're not going to be going to the playoffs. They're not trying to win everything. This is another building year for them. They added a crap to the defense. The offense kind of got languished. Like, I mean, like they really didn't do much to the offensive side in the NFL draft or in free agency like Jalen Naylor. You got Brock Bowers. Okay, fine. Who else are they throwing the ball? How long do we see Kirk Cousins? So in this year, I think we could see them. And again, going back to Kubiak, 8th highest neutral rushing rate. They're going to run the freaking ball. And this year if they're not going to compete for a playoff birth like I don't think anybody is forecasting that. We don't know when we see Mendoza, this could be a total red shirt year for him. Then yes. Why don't you lean on the ground game and you don't want to use like Ashton Genty up like fully this year. If next year is when they kind of like add to the roster again, push for a playoff berth. You want Genti to be ready to roll there. So Mike Washington, I mean he's the automatic RB2 on the depth chart. I think he's probably going to sniff like 100 to 120 carries this year. And as we're talking about guys that could make the top 36 running backs he could get there just based off of like if he had a Blake Corum type of run out. And I know the offense isn't going to be nearly as good with the scoring potential as the Rams.

That's the thing. It's like you got to be so efficient, you know like the RA are

to do that 8 to 10 touches a game and get red zone work and that can make him a touchdown dependent flex.

Well certainly I could see a world with again I don't want to live in this world with a fashion. Gendy had an injury the Mike Washington free agent budget spends would be through the roof. Through the roof. Talk about emptying the clip. They would be unbelievable. So maybe as a stash guy especially for the first couple weeks of the season. Yeah but you see where your teams are.

This, this I, I know it has nothing to do with Mike Washington is like this is actually why I feel uneasy and as of today I don't think I'm gonna have a ton of gent talked about what did Kubiak just do for years with this with the Seahawks we screamed that Kenneth Walker should be doing more like he's just like and like then and Charbonnet looked good as a top 15 running back when Walker was completely out. But like that's what I'm saying is like what if Kupiak does this like and I'm not saying he's going to split it 5050 but what if he drops him down to 55% of the work whereas it's now not. You're talking about like a Jameer Gibbs level. So I think Genti at the end of the first round I'm just going to be taking somebody else.

Unfortunately that's fair all right, let's stay with the Raiders here because obviously Fernando Mendoza is the only clear, you know, only quarterback like really endorse. Well, maybe not the only quarterback completely endorsed, but certainly for this season. Jake, I keep saying that he starts week one and I think that's an unpopular opinion. I think a lot of people think that the Kirk Cousins. Oh dear. Shaking his head. He agrees with me.

I think Mendoza is going to outplay him in the preseason and I think they're just going to say, nope, the future is now. So talk to me about your thoughts on Mendoza, what that path looks like for him in your opinion, how early he starts and to the points dbro made, the team that surrounds him. How successful can he be in fantasy?

So I'll take the second part first and the fact that we've talked about this a lot through the pre draft stuff and I know some people out there, especially Raiders fans, want to draw the comparison and say, oh, you know who else had one year of production in college with a lot of talent around him and came into the NFL and blah. Joe Burrow. He's not Joe Burrow. But like that's the ceiling people want to throw on him. And like, I get it. Like, I mean we're sitting, go back to Joe Burrow and you could watch the two side by side. Even coming from college, you know, Burrow was the better prospect. But 100%, if we just want to like wax positively, like, Mendoza has a lot going for him. He has a lot in the game that like is you would call NFL ready. But let's also remember we've done this before with NFL ready quarterbacks. Ended up being not Josh Rosen, by the way, the most NFL ready quarterback from that draft class.

Which again, that made my head hurt. That, that tag that they put on Josh Rosen during that process, I kept thinking to myself, what are they watching? Because we did that. I remember covering that draft that year here at Fantasy Bros, going, I don't get it. I for four months all I kept talking was, I don't get the Josh Rosen thing. I don't understand it. And I kept talking about Josh Allen, I kept talking about the other guys. I'm like, this guy's really more interesting. And Lama Lamar Jackson, like Rosen, like, that's the guy, that's the guy. That's the Safest pick. That's the most interesting to people. I didn't get it at all. And of course, who takes him? The Cardinals. An organization who has certainly had some flawed player evaluations throughout the years in some of their draft picks. But continue. Jake.

Yeah, nice little sidebar. Josh Rosens is home. Like, why am I taking shots? Like my career was bad enough. Leave me alone at this point. But hey, look, he's going to Kubiak. They have some weapons. I actually thought they would address wide receiver a little bit more for him to hopefully and maybe they dip their toe into the free agents that are still out there, like a Juwan Jennings or something like that. But all that being said, to see

Well, here's the thing. Who else started week one last year? Russell Wilson. So week four, we get them at this point, like Kirk Cousins. Let's let you. We'll talk about evaluations. If we took the tape from Kirk Cousins last three seasons and we're like, this is a rookie quarterback, we'd be like, yeah, back up at best, like, what are we doing here? So I'm saying they say like I actually leaning with Debro in this one where I can see Cousins from day one because they don't want to just throw him under the bus. But if you said the over under four and a half weeks before we see Mendoza, that would be a tough call for me. I think that's like where we're talking about what happened with Jackson Dart last year is like, all right, we've seen enough. Three, four games, we've seen enough. Let's just go get him out there and get ready for next season.

I don't know when you're the number one overall pick, I think the expectation is you should start week one. And I know that's. That's sometimes too much for certain certain guys. I don't think it's too much for Mendoza. I think mentally he's strong enough to deal with it. What's the difference between 1, 2, 3, 4?

Like, even Drake may like, you know, what's the difference between like he's just number one.

The difference is the hole that it puts you in in a very tough division, to be honest. Because I think the Raiders do think that they want to compete this year because you're finally in a year where if they do isn't starting the year.

I, I agree with the sentiment. I just don't think in the practice it's going to happen. But we'll find out when we get to week one that Brady voice is loud in the building. Did you want to go ahead and ping him real quick of a guy who could make a another running back there?

Yeah, we're talking pure ppr. We're talking about purely where he went and the opening ball potentially behind Kenneth Walker and Emmett Johnson. If he falls into the Jerick McKinnon role that we're like oh my gosh. And even get some goal line work that would be interesting. Interesting to see. You have to watch. Obviously he needs to get the backup job, but I think he can. I think he actually has the talent to be the backup pass catcher and I actually thought that would be his entire NFL career. I know some people were higher on him than I was. But I think this role and I actually really like the fact that he landed with this role potentially on the Chiefs that that would be kind of the only other name that I think might outside of injuries and things happen like that. I think the only one that like path as it stands probably falls into like I know we're going to talk about another one that has a path but I think his is the clearest of the other names that are day three.

Yeah, we like his tape too deeper and I did the film room on him and we thought Johnson again would. Would probably do okay in the NFL landing spot. All right, let's start with the first name here because dbro. I kind of smiled a little bit because one of our favorite kind of like quiet quarterbacks, Cole Payton, a lot of athleticism, big arm, needs to fix some things in the footwork, a couple other things. A lefty QB we both liked and he landed in a spot that I think is kind of interesting because if things fall apart in Philadelphia, maybe, just maybe, Cole Payton could be a guy in a year or two that could actually get a look. What do you think about the landing spot for Cole Payton with the Philadelphia Eagles again selected by a team? It's pretty good when it comes to talent evaluation. Another thing to keep in mind when evaluating some of the guys we're talking about.

Yeah, I mean look how he does Howie things and that the high upside swings are there. Just look at the draft class this year. And I think Cole Payton's part of that discussion and the big thing that like where you look at the, the composition of the depth chart right now he's going to be the QB4 right now. But again we're talking, we've discussed Cole Payton throughout the entirety of the off season as a guy that we didn't want to start right now. He needed to sit, he needed to learn and grow. And after this season, andy Dalton, Tanner McKee are both free agents. We could walk into 2027 and Cole Payton is the clear QB2 behind Jalen Hurts. And you look at the body, the archetype, the skill sets and stuff of Cole Payton, there's a lot to like there. And so you're telling me like look, the, the Eagles cannot get out of Jalen Hurts. His contract basically earliest until 2028. A lot of things can happen between now and then. But a guy that based off of the upside and the talent and the rushing equity and I hated the Tim Tebow comparisons throughout the entirety of the pre draft process because that's nonsense.

But unfortunately, we really didn't see those tools put to good use and the house really didn't build very well for Penn State. So talk to me about why you think this is intriguing, like more of a long term look here. What could possibly be fixed here for him where eventually maybe he gets an opportunity with the Steelers?

I mean, you turn on his film and if you pick the right play, you're like, oh my God, there's some Drake May there. You pick the wrong play and oh my God, it's Tim Tebow. Like, let's be real, like, it's that bad. It's that up and down. But as you just said, if we were talking this time last year and he did go in the draft, people were talking about it as a first rounder. I didn't. To be clear, I wasn't a Neussmeyer first rounder. I wasn't an Aller first rounder last year. But the makeup of the tools is there. He has everything you could possibly want in the NFL quarterback, except for his brain. Like, what is he doing half the time? But if we're talking about this, like Debro made the joke about Carson Beck, like, we're assuming Aaron Rodgers as of today. But even if so, let's just say Aaron Rodgers comes back. It's one more. There's no way he's doing two more years. And he has to get past Will Howard and Mason Rudolph, all I'm saying, if you have Aller sit for a year and actually have a coach sit there and say like this is how you play quarterback Aller, like this is

Yeah, you could get somebody to play the position and get in his mind to stop doing all that terrible stuff. We saw he has all the makeups that like if he was completing 65% of his passes, everybody would be drooling because of his skill set. So again, we could be talking two years from now, hey, remember that guy that the Steelers drafted? That's not even the NFL anymore. But I'm just saying, if I'm taking Flyers over Beck over Klub, Nick, I just, I'll take the chance on him. But this is, we're talking about fourth round pick, maybe a third round of super flex. It's just a flyer of a flyer.

All right, talk to me about Jonah Coleman, a running back who got selected by the Denver Broncos here. I know, we heard you, J.K. dobbins back there. I know R.J. harvey is a guy you're a big fan of, but how muddy is the situation and how do we wait this one out?

Debro incredibly muddy. And RJ Harvey, I mean I, you know, I loved him going into last year. It is what it is, man. He had a disappointing rookie season. Tackle breaking metrics weren't, weren't great. After he got the full job, it was, you know, not wonderful. A lot touchdowns really carry the day for him in fantasy. Jonah Coleman could make noise here very quickly. Like if you look at his skill set, three down skill set, J.K. dobbins brought back on a two year deal. That is a puffed up one year deal. If you look at the contract language of that, he is out of here after this year. So Coleman literally could factor into this backfield and that this is assuming that J.K. dobbins can stay healthy. We haven't even seen that even last year. Like so Coleman could factor into this backfield even this season. If Dobbins can't stay on the field, if RJ Harvey continues to tick off Sean Payton because of the three down skill set that he has Like Coleman, dude, there is some of the craziest pass pro reps littering through his film. And 278 collegiate pass pro snaps. He only allowed three sacks, one in his final three seasons. So outside of the, you know, the three down skill set, which you can get on early downs from Jonah Coleman, he could factor into the backfield as early as this year. Now, if everything stays as it is and RJ Harvey can take a step and play better in year two versus year one. Does that happen? No, but it's possible.

Next guy we're going to talk about is a player. Actually dbro and I on the film room sessions on Twitch, which by the way, Twitch TV fantasy pros. Go check it out. Lots of cool stuff on there. Got baseball going every day. And of course we had a bunch of really cool film sessions on there as well where DBRO and I were breaking down some of the prospects. Nick Singleton was a guy that we were kind of split on, but Jake, I liked him. Debro had some more concerns than I did. Not, not a fan. So it was more of a split backfield, so to speak. But the interesting spot here is the fact that he's landing in Tennessee, which is a backfield that clearly you got a new coach coming in, right. And then you've got guys who might be on their way out in that backfield. Like there's a chance where Singleton could get a real look in 2027 as possibly the lead back. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but that pathway is there when you start to look at the finances of them and the running backs that they have already on the roster.

Yeah, well that's the big thing. That's why I said might and I made the joke is as the dog starts snoring. So I'm going to throw a treat at him. It comes down to the fact they're both free agents, Pollard and Spears. Spears has failed to. He's flashed, but he's failed to one stay on the field and do it consistently. And that's both in the production. Staying healthy. Tony Pollard is a good running back. He's not a great one by any stretch of the imagination. And what the thing was, Singleton is. I don't think he's great either. I actually compared him to Tevin Coleman and I think he's a very one cut slash type runner. But if you look at what kind of Dable's done, like he does have the pass catcher, the pass catcher like Tracy, he kind of forced his. He was forced into using Tracy more than he wanted to. And I say that more than he wanted to because he kept trying to go back to Devin Singletary. He actually was like Devin Singletary on this team. I'm not going to be excited about him either. But as the lead option and what Brian Dable does with his offense, I could see somebody like a Tevin Coleman, like a Singletary, Singletary, like a Singleton, work in this offense. He would be an RB2. Let's make that clear. Like, I'm not preaching that like if both of them are gone next year, you're looking at RB1 production. No, but as an RB2, as that, like heck, if one of them gets hurt, speared by the way, gets hurt again this year, that you might find yourself picking off waiver wires just because he's the next man up already this year, I'd be more intrigued for him. Like you said, 2027 is what I'm thinking of when it comes to Singleton.

K Tron Allen and this Just goes to the. The wide open nature of the Commander's backfield right now. Like Rashad White, we've seen him replaced by other running backs as the starter in multiple spots. Same thing you could say for Jerome Ford. They're both on one year deals and what do we get out of Bill? Is he going to compete for the starting job? Is he going to be just another depth piece for them? But Katron Allen has a lane here, man. Like, I'm not the biggest fan of his game, but I think you kind of know what you're getting like, Barry. Like, I could see why the Commanders drafted him in the sense of he's kind of like your dollar store version of Brian Robinson of previous years. Like early down grinder. He's. If you need three yards, he gets you three yards. If you need four yards, he gets you three yards. So it is what it is like, but there's a chance where he does. He is a volume trade.

And I just want to remind everybody too, as we talk about this, whenever you have a rushing quarterback like you have Jaden Daniels, it's always going to hurt some of these running backs too, that they're in the same team. So just keep that in mind. All right, Jake, give me a name that's more of a deep stash for you.

Well, and I say deep, and that's also part of the reason I put him here, is because everybody looks at the team and they're like, oh, my God, I gotta draft Caleb Black. Oh, my God, the 49ers. Of course, yes. Could he get past everybody and be the next man up behind Christian McCaffrey? And then if Christian McCaffrey gets hurt, then everybody's going to be like, running to the waiver wire because it's fill in the blank running back behind Christian McCaffrey. We want him because we know what Shanahan does. Shanahan can make me a productive running back in the fact that I wouldn't die, not actually get Yards. So that's really what it comes down to, is that we know Shanahan does well for running backs. He makes good. Great. And he makes great. Exceptional. I know Christian McCaffrey's on a tier of his own, but that's why we're excited for Kaylin Black. But I say more for next year. Like, we still have Garendo. We still have other running backs in the mix. Could he get in there? Could he be the next one up? Sure. But I think the problem is, is people see 49ers and they're going to draft Black thinking like, oh, my God, I have. Like, right now, if people were drafting today after the excitement that we're seeing from the draft and we were doing our yearly. Not even dynasty, our yearly fantasy drafts, right now, he'd probably go in the 10th round because people are like, oh, back up. Running back behind Christian McCaffrey. And that's why I want to kind of pump the brakes. Yes. I like the landing spot, but let's not go crazy because we've done this with other backups behind Christian McCaffrey, and we picked the wrong guy. Like, let's be clear.

Uninspiring veterans hop him as the cuff in indy. I think McGowan could easily do that this year and it's not like Jonathan Taylor has been the picture of health over the last few years. Boys.

It's a good point. Can't, can't argue with that. Jake, one more guy. It's deeper. Stash takes a little bit longer for maybe him to pop off. It could be like a lottery ticket kind of dude.

Yeah, I completely agree with D bro. I had a lot of DJ Gibsons as like my final pick is just like the picture held like you said with Jonathan Taylor. I figured it was the easiest path to a backup job and failed. But you know this one's interesting. Similar to the Titans. Guess what. Jordan Mason, Aaron Jones, both free agents next year and I'm not going like Devin Clayborne. You gotta get them because I actually think to go back to a former Colts, I think Claiborne is a lot like Naim Hines in the fact that he's a 1A or a 1B. He's going to be sharing the backfield with somebody else. If it's the pass catching side of things. Obviously we've seen the excitement for that and if he's getting 55% of the work as the lead pass catcher option, but he's still going to be giving away some goal line touches, he's going to give away the short yardage because that's just who he is. But similar to these other running backs we've seen like I'll go back to Tyrone Tracy. Tyrone Tracy leading the giants was an RB2 every single week. Claiborne next year for the Vikings. If he's out there and they're going to bring somebody else and whether they re sign Jordan Mason, but whatever it might be is they're going to bring somebody to be alongside of him. But he could have RB2 value and half a full point PBR given their free agent situation in the backfield.
