So follow it wherever you stream or watch it on fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Now. A lot to get to today. Lots of games to play. We have lots of games today, huh? Danny Garrett. It's a game day. It is Friday. Casual wall. It's such a Casual Friday. I'm not sure. Rich got dressed today. Oh, my God. What are you talking about? He's wearing an awesome shirt. No, I'm pretty sure he's wearing his pajamas. I'm wearing gym shorts and a Mike Tyson T shirt. In fact, our boss hit us up and he goes, hey, you guys cool? Making, like, a video for a possible client? And Camino's like, quick, do it Monday. I feel like I just rolled out of bed. Yeah, no, we all on a Friday. Seriously, we don't do our Patreon. Like I said, we do a lot of things over promised. We do music stuff on Sirius xm. This is our number one priority. Fox Sports Radio. But we also do a Patreon podcast. And on Fridays, we don't do it. Today's Friday, so it's a glorious Friday. We get to sleep in, go to the gym, take a walk. So we show up basically in our PJs. What happened to you stay ready so you don't have to get ready? Well, we do every day except for Friday. Oh, okay, guys, I'm ready to run. Yeah, we're ready for the weekend. We're ready to relax. So, guys, hope you had a great Thursday night. A Bronny James. Would you have ever thought I would have said it and meant it? Hope you had a Bronny James sort of night. I can't say that we told you so, but we did tell you to look out for big night for Bronny, because, I mean, they had a. They had a turn to him yesterday. Well, not only that, I said it during yesterday's show. And I'm certainly not doing the I told you so, but I did say with all those players out, even if the Lakers only put up. I said, if they only put up minimal points, someone had to score them. And would you believe Ronnie? 17 points, couple threes, made a sweet pass. That made, like, the highlight reel. So you know what? No, but, dude, he was hitting floaters, hitting threes. Like you said, I'm running wrong about full court passes. He had 17 points, five assists, three rebounds. The athleticism, though, is noticeable. And again, the touch. He seems like he has a nice touch, a little floater. Like I said, he just looked nice. He looked good. So can he grow from there? Absolutely. He's a rookie. And even guys like Stephen A. Smith. I may have been wrong. I may have been wrong about Bronnie. You know, you have to give him his props if we're gonna dump on the guy and talk about nepotism. And he doesn't belong there and this and that. Hey, he's a rookie. He played a good game. Maybe he just needs more opportunity. But you're changing your tune after one game. Dude, he's good. No, he was running past night. Thank you. Giannis had a foul him a few times. What do you mean? One game that he actually had to play. He hasn't had that much playing time. I'm sorry. LeBron to lose. And there's no. Like you said, it's like nobody was expecting the Lakers to win that game. No. So when you go in with that mentality, is it. Is it really what he's like? I'm not trying to take away from Bronnie. I don't dislike the kid. But on one game. But on the fl. On the flip side, though, what if he had gone one for 18? Yeah, it's something to build off of. He would have got buried more. No matter what he does, he's going to be talked about. Unfortunately for him, but the Lakers lost. I mean, Matzi, if he was on the Clippers, he put up 17 at least every night, right? Probably. Okay, look, they lost. That was low. It's something to build off of. And you got to figure the timing's great because just yesterday we were talking about how he said he sees the criticism, he's aware of it and it motivates him. So he sort of put it where his mouth was and he showed it last night. It shows that the pressure is not going to get to him. He looked good. Why can't you acknowledge that he had an incredible game, single game, without issuing a formal apology for what you've said before that? Because Stephen is ass. I'm sorry. It's like just. It was one game and then it's like acknowledge it. And then once it becomes, you know, a trend or a regular thing, then maybe you can issue. A broken clock is right twice a day. Exactly. I think we. I think we all know why he's. He's trying to get it back in LeBron's good graces, right? Yeah, no doubt, no doubt. Hey, you know what poses a question that might be fun to start the show with? There's so many rando stories today in the world of sports that we're gonna have fun with, but nepotism, A word that's thrown around so much in sports and entertainment and music. Nepo babies. Nepo babies. It really is like a Nepo babies, an eye rolling buzzword. Nepotism sounds like a word that means something else. I'll give you another example when Covino is going through his divorce. Say, it took seven minutes for me to bring up your divorce today. Yeah, man. Wow. Seven minutes. I remember I sat down with Covino at his divorce attorney's office because I'm like, a great friend like that. I'm the best guy. And his divorce attorney said, steve, you're such a mensch. And I'm like, she talking smack to you? Yeah, she's talking smack. I thought she wanted to throw hands like a mensch. Doesn't sound like a good word. Mensch means you're a swell fella. Yeah. Nepotism. It's Yiddish. Sounds like you need. Sounds like something out of a drug commercial. Like you need Valtrex for it. Nepotism sound. Doesn't sound what it is. But what about it? Skyrizzi for your nepotism. So LeBron, you know, goes above and beyond to try to make the path easier for Bronnie. We would all do anything for our kids. That's something we all forget. Right. By the way, the interesting part of that story is. Yeah, it's so obvious, but it does happen in every other industry. Why is it so odd when it happens in sports? So it poses the question of what industries are you okay with? Nepotism, and what industries are you not? Like if John's Plumbing has been run by good old John Johnson for 30 years and he hands it over to his son, and that was son's like, I own a plumbing company. That's not nepotism. That's a family business. Because it's like if his son was with him all the time, learning the job. I don't think that's nepotism. I think that's just handing it off to your descendants. Nepotism would be like if you gave your son, like, a high profile job that like, other. That has no experience in really. Other qualified plumbers were going after, but your son, who's a novice, got that job. Like, that's like when Billy Madison was gonna be the heir of the Madison Hotel fortune. There you go. Yes. Nepotism. Billy passed the third grade, by the way. I'm making a huge statement. Well, you could argue about Bronny's, you know, playing days all through school and almost dying on the court at USC all through school. That's true. It's not like he just walked onto a court, you know, and was like, I want to play. Yeah. We all know LeBron did this for himself and not his kid. Right? Yeah. But let's all be real. He would have been here. Beautiful thing. Anyways, just maybe not for himself. Who, me? He's just there a little sooner than he would have been. Yeah. I mean, so when it comes to maybe the plumbing example, I would say I'm quick to the punch on that. But let's say he's quick to the point. To the point. No fake. Quick to the plum. If you're Dr. Buss. Dr. Buss. And you know, your kids are the people that run the Lakers, that's not nepotism in your mind in some capacity? No, I think I've definitely handing off, like, $1 billion enterprise to your children. Like, it's kind of like a succession. Are you watching Running Point on the Waves? Yeah. On Netflix. I mean, no, I know the premise of it, but. Yeah, like, didn't. Didn't Jeanie Bush, she had to kind of, like, wrestle away control from her brothers who, like, were just incompetent at running things, which. Which is. And she's doing a better job than them for. For sure. Which is the plot line of Running Point. Of Running Point. My point is that we see nepotism and favoritism all the time. I just wonder why we have such a. I don't know. I don't think I can say that on Fox. Hold on. Why do we have such a problemo with it? Because Nepo. Nepotism, at its core is giving a job that should go to a much more skilled individual. That job because of their name alone. And yes, you give. It's getting an opportunity where an opportunity wouldn't exist just strictly based on your family. Yeah, but there's more to it than just that, because guess what? You know, who gets the last cheers when they're in the game? You know, the fans are most excited about when they're in the game. You know, who could probably put more asses in the seats and other rookies that you don't know. Bronny James. There's still value in him. And I always have an issue when people really harp on Nepo babies and nepotism, because I think that will. That will open the door. But once you're through that door, if you don't deliver on your own, you will fall flat and be embarrassing. Bam. And the reality is, Bob Am, there's a. There's an artist right now that's big on the pop scene. Your kids may listen to her, I would say, if you want to queue up some Gracie Abrams. She's a hot young artist who opens for Taylor Swift. She's got a couple pop Songs that are top 10. I didn't even dawn. It didn't dawn on me. I didn't realize it was J.J. abrams daughter. But you know what? If she stunk, would the songs be big? It all comes out in the wash. You could get that advantage in life. But you're right. You have to deliver. I mean, we just talked about running point, Kate Hudson. Doesn't she come from a Hollywood family? Yeah. Goldie Hans, her mother. I mean, if Kate Hudson stunk, guess what? We see her in a couple things, and then we'd be like, that fades away. That label will go away. If you are good, if you're up to snuff, it'll disappear. Well, isn't that the argument with Ronnie? Like, he wasn't well, but again, we need him do it, like, over an entire season, not just one, but he was given an opportunity that if he. If he was just, you know, Bronnie Johnson coming out of college, he wouldn't even got a second look by anybody. First look by anybody. He would have been there eventually. He was. Eventually. But he has been playing well in the G League. And our argument at the start of the season was, too bad it wasn't for a different G League where he's not in his dad's shadows. Like, Bronny James should be playing in the NCAA Tournament, not being for, like, Duquesne. Yeah, yeah. Like, not. He's. He didn't go through a full cycle here. Rich's point, then. There's so many other examples in life where people just have advantages because of who their parents are. This advantage was always going to be there. I just think a lot of us feel like it was extremely rushed. Yeah. Especially with the year that he had at usc, which was not even a elite year. So this just was rushed. It was always going to happen. We're about to see Bryce. We're about to see all three of them. He was running past Giannis last night, but that's why I said he was looking good, because Giannis was really trying. There was never a question as to that game. That's why I said, someone's sipping on the haterade today. It's not a hater. It's being realistic. Monster hating. She's just stating LeBron did it for LeBron. He didn't do it for Bronnie. He wanted to. He wanted to have that historical moment of his father playing with his son. Yeah, that's why it was rushed. Yeah, but what's wrong with that? There's nothing wrong with. But to you know, deny that it, like Bonsi said, it was rushed and it was inappropriate, timing was too soon, and that, you know, it was a huge moment of nepotism. But he can't control what family he was born into. So you guys are making a good point. It's up to him right now. No, I know, but look at our business for an example. Howard Stern's dad was in radio. Yeah. All right. He helped Howard get into radio. That's a big story at a small local level. Right. Howard had to be the man, though. Yeah, exactly. He changed his voice. Remember, he went from, like to. Hold on. Take a time out for a second, Think about this. In every industry, there's a big story going on right now in the broadcasting world. And it's interesting because a guy that we admire and have always said nice things about. Mad Dog Russo. Mad Dog Russo has his own channel on SiriusXM. Mad Dog Radio. Mike and the Mad Dog. Good afternoon, everybody. If you grew up on the East Coast, I mean, there was no one bigger. In fact, Mike and the Mad Dog paved the way for Colin and Dan and Stephen A. And all these people, there would be none of that 30 for 30 about him. Now, Mad Dog Russo, who's made millions and millions and millions and billions, one of the best in the sports radio game, was quick to criticize LeBron and Bronny, like so many people. Meanwhile, in the news yesterday, he got the old, Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on, Mad Dog. Because Mad Dog Russo's kid is a broadcaster in South Florida. And Mad Dog went on a rant about how none of the New York Mets at spring training would give my son a chance to, like he acknowledged. I sound like LeBron here, but you couldn't give me anybody on the Mets. Not one. Met gave his son time for an interview, and he lost it. He flipped out. So how do you feel about that? My thoughts on that were, just because it's Mad Dog Russo doesn't mean his son should get an interview. But not one Met could have stepped up. That was my thought. Like, not one Met. Nobody wanted to interview him. There's, again, layers, different industries, like you said. I would say I made the distinction. If it's a small business, you're just passing it down. I would say in the medical field is where I feel like nepotism should never be. You know, just because your dad ran that office doesn't mean that you should be checking my scrotum. I would say that you still have to go through medical school, but it doesn't mean you're going to be a great doctor. It doesn't. I don't want to. Just because your dad ran that practice, I don't buy into that. Hey, Steve Camino. Drop your draws. Yeah. Turning. Turn your head and cough. The weird part is, his son wasn't even a doctor. Guys, put it in perspective. Honestly, it's an honor to make it this far. Right. You're in that elite status and level. It's still a game. People need to relax. Can I, Can I. Basketball. We all know you're either going to step up or you're not. And if he doesn't, he's not going to last long. Can I just say that My parents always told me, growing up, use your connections and use. Use what? The people you know help. Help. You know, have them help you out. It's. It's a. It's a privilege, but you should help yourself that way. Could I. Could I say that when Aunt Becky, Lori Laughlin and some of those Hollywood elites got in trouble for trying to get their kids into colleges, I believe rightfully so, they got punished. But I can't tell you, I don't understand. Because if you're a parent. But they paid. No, but I'm saying that was a different. That was a different story. But hold on. But I'm saying, as a parent, you realize you would do anything for your kid, Danny G. You would do anything for Koa. Yeah. And so you could understand it. I mean. Oh, I helped him start his new podcast last week. Yeah. There is legacy in academia. There is, like, where if you've gone to, like, a prestigious university and you're the child of that person, you do get a look because of that. No doubt. I mean, how many times? And high donors, how many donors are like, oh, you know, your kid's an F up. But, you know, dad and grandpa both went to Yale. So all of a sudden, this guy who stinks, by the way, you know, since we're talking sports, too, and other examples that don't fly with you, you don't think just because of the name on the back of the jersey, there's extra players in baseball and football that get the extra look, but they get the extra look and acknowledgement because of who they are. Freaking Mike Piazza got in just because of his connection with his dad in Lasorda, you know, and you gotta step up. That's really what it comes down to. It doesn't matter if it gives you an advantage. If you don't deliver. This is a game of winning. You're out Rich is only here because of his uncle, Bozo the Clown. Did you know that? Bozo the Clown. Bozo the Clown. That's how he got a scratchy entertainment. His uncle, Chili Davis. Yeah, people don't realize Spot's spots Real dad, Mr. Belvedere. He was Lynn Belvedere. We've all had some. Yeah, I was gonna say Covina. We've all had people help us in our lives, maybe in our careers. And we've all like what Sam was saying, not just his parents. A lot of our parents told us college, number one thing, make really good connections. You know, choose the right people to hang out with and do well with your professors and all that. And people lean on that throughout their life. Dale Berra, Yogi's kid, Pete Rose's kid. Tony Gwynn's kid. All decent players, but probably wouldn't have gotten that look if it wasn't for that famous name behind that jersey or that. That nod, that acknowledgement. And it didn't last for them. But again, it proves what we're saying. It may have got him there, but they didn't stay there. I just think, bringing it back to Bronnie, the whole thing with him that we've had this conversation ad nauseam from the start of the game last night. He didn't have the stats coming into the league that other. But I'm just saying that's. That's the whole thing here. That was the whole argument here. It's about skill set at that point. And I think we could all agree on one thing. He wasn't ready to come into the NBA. But maybe at some point. But it was rushed a little bit because of LeBron. Yes. You could argue he's not ready now. Oh, I was going to say he was coming off. I was going to say injury. You can't call that an injury. But an incident where it almost ended his life. Right, but if he was ready, he would have been playing before last night. He played last night because the Lakers rested everyone and their mom. Yeah. And you know what? He got an opportunity and he looked good. If he. If he keeps doing it here and there, then gay. Good for him. I could have put up at least 10 points last night. Yeah, but you're actually ready. Hold on. Hey, Rich and Cavino, go down the corner. Illness. You guys ready to step up and do a killer show? Yep, monsieur, you are, because you're doing it all the time, spot. All of a sudden, you'd be slaying it on the air. He stepped up and he Played a big game. You got to give him credit where it's due. If you're going to be so quick to dump on the guy, nobody say, oh, you rushed him. I sounds a little negative to me. I just don't. I just don't even think it's a story. Oh, no, no, I'm not mad. I think it's too soon to pull I think it's too soon to pull a complete 180 on your outlook on him. Maybe like a. Maybe like a 45. You could put like a 45 or like a 90. I see how you play against the bucks, but our show. But our show wasn't negative about him. Like, no shows were spotty. Never spot. Said he could score 10 points. I think he could just drink 10 pints in the stands. Thanks. Thank you. A couple threes. I think the point is, you know, three hot dogs, like, oh, there it is. Your problem is, like, how life works and we're seeing it in the NBA, but in reality, it's just the game, guys. And the game is a great equalizer. If you don't belong there, the game will let you know. Yeah, it's a good point. You see that with music, you see with acting, you see with all arenas where, quote, nepotism could happen. Yep, you got it. You got to keep your. You got to hold your own or else. Like Kavino said, there have been players that got to look, maybe they got him into the big show, but then they go away quick. They go away quickly. All right, well, hey, coming up, there is a college coach that is. He's throwing down a rule that I think might be the dumbest coaching rule I've ever heard in sports history. I don't know how he thinks this is going to work, but we'll do it next. Right here, Fox Sports Radio with Covino and Rich. The average time to hire for Most organizations is 30 to 45 days. In 2020, a group of young women in a tidy suburb of New York City found themselves in an AI fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos. It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body parts on my body parts that looked exactly like my own. I wanted to throw up. I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting the series took us through the darkest corners of the Internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? This is a story about a technology that's moving faster than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy. And I'm Olivia Carville. Everyone wanted to know how Nike builds emotion into the Jordan brand. You have to be obsessed with the current state of the human condition. And it doesn't stop there. And I was thinking about this a lot last week when you were on vacation. Yeah. You were on the beach with your younger girlfriend, Jordan. Yeah. Guess who else was on the beach with their younger girlfriend? Jordan. Who? Bill Belichick. Bingo. So we're going to play a game called is it Steve Kavino or Bill Belichick? I love that. Giving away prizes. Hey, if you want to play the game as multiple choice, your chance to win a swiggy next hour. What are you laughing about? Monsieur, I just can't wait. It's gonna be real tough to figure out if it was you or Bill Belichick. This could be real hard. It's like we're the same guy. I know exactly. I know you're dressed like Belichick today. I know what's going on. Am I turning into this guy? So, Rich, you got to talk about your dancing story. This is great. Now, listen. No more dancing on TikTok again. We were out of town last week, getting. Getting all ready, you know, really, really much like the baseball season. We get ready for the new ratings period. So we take off right before baseball starts, right around March, man, this time. So we were away. You were on the beach. I was on the beach. And we missed this story along the way, and it has to do with TikTok and Instagram and college players. West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez has decided that he's banning his players from dancing on TikTok. Now, you may have seen this floating around for, like, the last week, but we have never talked about this. And I thought about it more, and it's ridiculous. Why? We talked about Ron Washington banning phones in the clubhouse yesterday. It's thinking outside the box. Hold on. If they have a bad season, will it ever come back to. Well, if. If they let him dance on TikTok, it would have been different. It's. It's an experiment. No, no, I. You know what? I disagree because I feel like there's something to be said about being loose. You know what I always tell my kids when I'm coaching? Because I'm. I'm the number one coach on Fox Sports Radio. I don't know if you know that, kids, but I always tell them. I'm like, all right, come on, get loose. Bend those knees. Come on, get loose. Get loose. And then I say, get loose. Let me see a smile. Get loose. Do you play footloose for them like a nerd? So let me read this real quick. And then do you put on your Sunday shoes? Then we'll discuss. Put on your dancing shoes. West Virginia football coach Rich Rodriguez told reporters that he was prohibiting his players from dancing on TikTok because he didn't like the perception it gave about his program. If they're going to be on it, I know they're going to be on it. So I'm not banning it. I'm just banning them from dancing on it. It's like, look, we try to have a hard edge or whatever, and you're in there with your tights dancing on TikTok it ain't quite the image of our program. I want. I think that's fair, man. I. I do. I think that's fair. Just to. He's. This is. This actually came out six hours ago from front office sports. This is not a written policy. It is just something that he's like, I don't want to catch you guys dancing on TikTok. Makes him look soft. I discussed this with my wife. I agree. My wife said, how could she. My wife was saying, how could this coach think he could monitor the TikTok pages of 53 plus dudes? Can't. How? By just laying down the law. He'd be like, you want to play for me? You want to be on my good side? Don't act like an ass clown. In a world of nil. In a world of nil. So against rules. In a world of nil when kids are trying to make money and find ways to become popular. Now you're telling kids, don't be creative and do things on TikTok. You need to dance. You need to play football, dude. You need to dance. What do you tell? You're going to tell. Tell Livy Dunn to stick to the high beam, then join. Go on the grind. Go on dance fever. Go do something else. We're here for football, not to see your choreography. Give me a break, dude. Put something cool up about how great you are at football. If you're trying to set an image, it's like, you know, a lot of times I have this problem with you. I'm trying to create an image of a show. We're a cool young show and you're doing goofy things on social media that have nothing to do with the image of a tide pods again. Yeah, it's like what a goofball post he posted. Who are we, the goofballs or are we the cool young show? I'm trying to escape badass football team. Why are you dancing around on social media? I agree. I think sound like an old man, but I agree. He's not saying you have to do it, but again, it's. It's. It's for the greater good of winning and creating a camaraderie and an image for a team. Can I say this respectfully? I was Sam. The fact that you disagree with me makes me know I'm right. Why? Because you are a stick in the mud. You're an anything goes type of guy. Anything goes and that's stupid. You lose a little structure. You need a little structure. Anything goes. If it wasn't for me bringing you back all the time, this show would be off the rails and it would be a mess. That's why you. This guy's trying to keep some sort of structure and semblance of a. We're here to win. This is serious. Not everything's fun in games all the time. Guess what it is you think it is. It's a game. Yeah, but dude, this is football. This football, your life's on. On the line. You're worried about your dance moves. This football, your life's on the line, you get her playing football like, like they say you don't play boxing. Dude. Dude, football. You could play football, but it's tough. And you're here worrying about your. Your. Your two step. This is more of a. What is this thing called again? This Flossing. People still floss. Can you listen to Sam? Sam, by the way, why is this a life or death situation? I'm confused. Hold on. Why is dancing such a priority when you should be worried about touchdowns? Sam, you are proving every point. You're a guy in your 30s and you're like, watch that dance the floss. Like you are. You are a 75 year old man trapped in a 35 year old man's body. I'm fine. What the hell is wrong with you? Listen, it is flossing, right? I got that right? Oh, this is flossing, huh? And then this is the Pee Wee Herman. And then this is flossing. The old Charleston. Am I right? Hey, I was Sam Made in Carolina. I was Sam during commercial Charleston. I want everyone to go to Ovino and Rich because we're on Instagram. Unlike I was Sam, who is an old guy. I'm going to post a video of I was Sam flossing. No. No. Yeah. Oh, yes, yes, yes. I'm done with that. You just want. You just want something as popular as when I was doing the. The court Jester yo yo routine. You really feel the need to dance on TikTok? My point is, in a world of nil and expression and college, there's not other ways to express yourself. Right? Can't you do it when you're not at practice or at the facility? Do it at home? No, I don't think he wants to see any of his players do it in the off season. Dancing. Yeah. He has an offseason. Yeah, in season. Don't do it at home. Don't do it in the facility. It's like gambling on your own team. Just don't do it. And I'm sure There's plenty of ways where you could express yourself and put your personality out there. And he's obviously bringing this up because it's probably an issue. People are doing it in the locker room when they should be focusing on something else. I don't know, I feel like when, first of all, when did. What are we living in the world of Footloose? Like you said, no dancing in this town. What are we with Kevin Bacon? Like, what is going on here? But I'm just saying it's wild to me that. Hey, did you ever have the need to dance when you were playing baseball growing up? No, but you know who does? This younger generation who all think they're the Jabberwockies. Well, they're not. And they're on a football team. Team. And if you're an 18, 20, you know when you dance, when you score a touchdown, when you're an 18, 19, 20 year old kid. Yeah. Look at the NFL. Every interception, every touchdown, every first down, everything's a celebration. So my point is, you're dealing with 18, 19, 20 year old kids. I would want them loose, but I'd also want them focused. And I don't think dancing and having fun with their teammates is a disruption. If I, I think anything, those type of things create camaraderie. You're making it seem like they don't. Maybe this guy's trying to create a culture. Right, right. Like you're trying to be the badass team. West Virginia. Look, West Virginia, man, we're not playing games. We're. We're here to kick some ass. This is football, dude. This isn't baby games. Right. It's football. So he's trying to create an image. Like, like the, like the Raiders have an image. Raiders are badasses. Oh, it's image winning. And then you got these guys doing pirouettes on Tik Tok. How does that go with the image he's trying to create? Didn't. It's a little extra curricular noise. He's trying to get. I'm just saying NFL players used to do battle. Lynn Swan did. Yes. Is that not a lot in hot yoga and all that? That's for some coordination to help with his. Gotta keep moving. Yeah, Lomachenko did that in the ring. Look, I'm not saying there's not benefits to dance. I'm just saying if he's trying to create an image and he's trying to just create some sort of structure. He's the coach. Let the coach coach. That's why you hired Him. I'm just saying it seems like we just got done talking a month ago about how, wow, thank God the Yankees finally got rid of this stupid facial hair policy. And now we're talking about a coach telling kids that are 18, 19 years old not to do a, I don't know, a Kendrick Lamar strut on Instagram or TikTok. If your priority's dancing, join the dance team. That's what I would say. I don't see how this isn't about focus. Be a cheerleader. It's about focus. And that's what the coach wants. Wants him to be focused. Focus on the place you're making. You know what I would say? Anytime someone missed stepped, ran a wrong route, I'm like, weren't you the guy doing choreography before? Were you guy flossing? Yeah. Maybe if you spent less time flossing, you would have got that route right. What are you doing? The soldier boy. I feel like you're so in my face. No, because Rich Lombata. Rich is coast. I say this respectfully, but Rich is coast through everything with like, you know, so willy nilly. I think no form of structure. Anything goes attitude because he brings the fun. But dude, this is football. This is what's great about you two, though. Like, Rich is kind of leaning into it and you're like pulling him back, but you find this consensus kind of in the middle, which is the great thing about this show. And that's what the coach is doing. He's the coach. Let him coach Rich Rodriguez saying no dancing. Are these players so committed to dancing? Oh, my life. You're suppressing me. Then go and dance. But we're here for football. Doing the old stanky leg. What's going on? Come on. Doing. Doing the grapevine. See. Hey, Monty. What do you got, buddy? Hey, Monty. A lot of college hoops, guys. So I've got a lot of numbers running through my head. I'll try to keep this as easy as possible. We've got two games still going on right now. With 11 minutes to go, six seed Ole Miss has a 59 to 45 lead over 11 seed North Carolina at halftime. Four seed Maryland beating 13 seed Grand Canyon 42 to 28. One seed Duke blew out 16 seed Mount St. Mary's 93 to 49. Cooper Flag played had 14 points in the win. Two seed Alabama survived 90 to 81 against 15 seed Robert Morris remark. Sears had a double double in the win. Seven seed. This one just ended seven seed who was the seven seed? St. Mary's just edged. Yes, just edged ten seed Vanderbilt. I know I got confused. I was like this one just ended. They just beat 10 seed Vanderbilt 59 to 56. 12 seed Colorado State, top five seed Memphis 78 to 73 seed Iowa State crush 14 seed Lipscomb 82 to 55. And nine seed Baylor held on to be eight seed Mississippi State 45 to 39. Those are all the games that have happened on day two, round one of the men's tournament. The ladies are also playing today, but it's day one. I'm not going to give you all the scores. There's been no major upsets. But I will tell you that three seed Notre Dame scored 106 points today. I know. Yo Monty, let me ask you did you, did you hear my fun fun fact stats yesterday that you have a significantly better chance of of getting struck by lightning, being in a plane crash, getting struck by a meteor, being eaten alive by a shark or winning the Powerball then having a perfect bracket all at once. Oh, tournament. It's one in 9.2 quintillion. And that'll be my fun fact for the week. But all those things are just so significantly easier to do. So Steve Hartman posted that he had all day one matchups, correct? He got them all right on day one. He went 16 0, which is impressive to do. He's never done that, but he tweeted about it quick here in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers met with the Steelers today. Brandon Cook signed a two year deal with the Saints. Back to you guys. Apparently, me and Belichick are the same guy. I, I put this together. I don't know if I was high or drunk, but I was on vacation, probably both. And I. Because I'm the crazy guy on the show. Maybe you had dance fever yourself. I was dancing in Mexico after a good edible or something, and I said, oh, my God, my best pal. Covino and Bill Belichick are the same guy. They're both grumpy and date younger women named Jordan. So we're gonna play a fun game called is it Steve Covino or Bill Belichick for prizes. Can't wait. But let's wrap up the story. West Virginia head coach coach Rich Rodriguez bans TikTok dancing, telling reporters he wants his Mountaineers to have a hard edge. That sounds fair. If your last name. If your last name is Rodriguez and your first name is Rich, why would he not go by Ricardo Rodriguez? What a fail. First of all, why don't you go by Ricardo? Maybe I should. Ricardo Davis. Give me a little edge. Now he's banned his players from doing TikTok moves because it doesn't go with the image he wants for his football team. Again, a hard edge. Isn't that what you want for your team? But. But it's a team of like, it's a game of, of battle. We're keeping it so not real. Is it a dance battle? We're keeping it so not real in this conversation. It's. No, you're not believable. You're not. All right. The biggest, baddest NFL players, all they're doing is dancing. All these young scoring touchdowns, by the way, Justin Jefferson doing, doing his gritty and everything. You're Their professional athletes, they've earned those rights. They're the best of the best of the best. And. And are these guys the best of the best, or is he trying to create something? I thought you had more. Because there's a plug. Clearly an and wasn't needed to. Cavino, you need to earn dance moves. No, these guys are professionals. They're men. These are not grown men. These are young men that need coaching, need guidance, need to know that dancing is not the priority. If they want to get to the NFL, maybe they should focus more on football. It's pretty simple. Yeah, I just. I don't. Dancing is your passion. And join a class. Let me use a. Let me use a big boy term. None of these things are mutually exclusive. It's not like because I dance, I stink at football. And because I don't dance, my game is stronger. I get what you're saying. Discipline is the thing. I again, number one coach on Fox Sports race radio. When I'm out there with the T ball kids, some of them don't listen. They put their hat on backwards and I say, hey, kids, get over here, take a knee, put your hat on the right way and listen to coach. I get it. People need discipline. They're not pros. And he wants to have a hard edge. But culturally, to create a loose fun. We want to play together, camaraderie, atmosphere. We always talk about how important the clubhouse is, how important the locker room is. Those team dinners with the veterans, you know, bust the chops of the rookies a little bit. That team building is so important. So when you're like, hey, man, I'm the old coach. There'll be no TikTok dancing. Say that to a bunch of college kids and I feel like you lose the room. Then I guess you don't want to play football that bad. That's how I see it. If you're worried about your dance moves, you're not worried about football. You said that about Yankees and beards. If you want to be on the pinstripes and rock the pinstripes and who cares about facial hair? Why'd they change it? Because they realized it was lame. But dancing is so needed, necessary when it comes to football. I think I know why this is. This is why you have this feeling. I want to know why you're the defender of dance all of a sudden. Because I think I know why. Steve Covino. Not a great dancer, are you, twinkle toes? You're the dancing machine here. Covino at a wedding, the conga line starts. He goes to the bathroom. Yeah, because I'm not Buster Poindexter. Rest in peace. You're the guy. You're the guy that has never gotten the middle of a dance circle in your life. Guys are corny when they dance. You're no Ted Lasso. This guy is trying to create an image. Rich is trying to dance battle at a wedding. Why do you think Ted Lasso was such a great coach? He's dancing with his teammates, having fun. Yeah, but, dude, you see how corny you sound? You sound like a cornball. No offense. You sound like Corny Collins. Football's not about who's the corniest dancer. Let's play it. Let's play it. You see what he See how I'm right? He's the corniest guy going. This is football. You're trying to create a hard edge. Rich, the greatest dancer. Let's bring him in for the halftime show. If you're so concerned about dancing, why don't you dance with JLO in halftime? Hey, you know what? Ovyknownrich, during the break, I was Sam flossing on our social media. This is Nikki Glaser from the Nikki Glaser podcast. Have you guys seen this new commercial from Stand up to All Hate?
