You know, I got this whole party room for nothing. But, yeah, I hope your night was better than that.
Danny G
We take a listen to Shador himself.
Covino
We all didn't expect this, of course, but I feel like with God, anything possible, everything possible. I don't feel like this happened, you know, for no reason. All this is, is of course, fuel to the fire. And under no circumstance. We all know this shouldn't happen, but we. We understand. We on the bigger and better things. Tomorrow's the day.
Danny G
Yep.
Covino
We're gonna be happy regardless.
Danny G
Give him. Give him fire.
Rich Davis
And here comes my song. Expect the unexpected.
Danny G
Give him that which he desires. Ooh, yeah. Shador Sanders. Obviously one of the big surprises. We're gonna go over the things that made us go.
Covino
Hmm.
Danny G
But I gotta give mascots credit, just. This is just a quick one off. This morning at my kids school, I volunteered to be the mascot for the big assembly.
Covino
Of course you did.
Danny G
Why would I not? I was doing the running man. All the kids, you know what the kids want Danny G. More than anything. What do you think? In 2025, I feel like you're already.
Covino
Like a real life mascot.
Rich Davis
Candy. They want to be left alone.
Danny G
Yeah, true, but all the kids.
Rich Davis
I want candy. Dino nuggets, vape pens.
Danny G
These are all great answers.
Rich Davis
Lego, Mac and cheese, Minecraft movie.
Danny G
They all want you to do the gritty. It's wild. Like I'm in there, I'm doing the running man. I came out there dressed as the lion for my daughter's school. Every kid's like, do the gritty. Do the gritty. Are they all. Justin denied them.
Covino
I had my daughter's friends tell me to do the same thing. I said, no, you do it. You'll tell me what to do, you nose picker. Get out of my face.
Danny G
Well, I mean, unlike you, I'm a.
Covino
Do what you tell me to do.
Danny G
You're.
Covino
You're five. Beat it.
Danny G
I'm a man of the kids and people, so. And also, I was in a costume, so I was like, sure. So I was doing the gritty. I was acting a fool. But hey, listen, these stupid things you could do for your kids, they're only one. They're only young once, and they only think you're cool for so long. So my message, do it. Take these dumb Opportunities. Guess what? I could check off my fool's bucket list. Mascot.
Rich Davis
You were dressed as an octopus.
Danny G
Big ass lion. Danny G. I was a lion. And we tell you, you could only breathe through the eyes. I was thinking the whole time, like, what if I pass out? And they're like, oh, my God, the lion's dead.
Rich Davis
How appropriate. You're always lying.
Covino
So not only that, I mean, if you really want to give props to the mascots, it's not about you doing the gritty and barely surviving because you couldn't breathe. It's about that these mascots in today's game are super athletes. The mascots in today's professional sports, for the most part, can do amazing things, especially in the NBA. NBA mascots. These guys are putting their lives at risk, their health at risk. They're doing things that the average fella can't do.
Danny G
Are you saying I wasn't doing flips into slam dunks?
Covino
That's what I'm saying. No. And I remember back in the day, I used to know the guy that was Sly from the Nets. Remember? The fox from the Nets, that mascot. I would hear stories all the time about how much they put their body through and how hard it is to actually get that gig. You have to be a next level performer and athlete to actually be a professional mascot on that level.
Danny G
I totally forgot when you used to hang out with Sly the mascot. That was your stage when you were like, furries, right?
Covino
I mean, it was a weird phase and all, but, yeah, I used to roll. In fact, I used to roll with all the mascots.
Danny G
Remember, I walked in one time and Covino was like, get out of here. I'm like. And he was with Otto the Orange. Very strange.
Rich Davis
Do you remember the best mascot episode ever in the NBA? I think it was 2013 when Rocky was lowered down from the rafters and he had a medical situation. He collapsed, and the Nugget girls, the dancers, still danced around him in a circle around his limp body, his lifeless body.
Danny G
So shout out to all the mascots, anyone that ever did in high school, college. I feel like I burned a thousand calories easy just bouncing around and dancing in this suit. And it's so hot and you can't breathe well. So, hey, props again. And I did have some Mrs. Met Fantasies when I was in that costume.
Covino
What does it smell like in there?
Danny G
Not bad. You know, I lucked out. The school got a new mascot costume at the end of last year because I can only imagine some of them are dank.
Covino
I heard they smell like hot farts. Is that true?
Danny G
Many of them.
Rich Davis
Learn to watch those. I think got to go to send him to dry cleaning.
Danny G
I don't think you put that in the washing machine.
Rich Davis
No. No.
Covino
So that was Rich's morning. If that was hard to follow. He was the school mascot at his kids grade school this morning for the morning. The Friday morning assembly.
Danny G
Yeah. And my daughter. People are asked, did your kids know? I gave my daughter two hints. I said assembly and handshake. There's going to be something funny. She's like, what? So she won an award and the mascot always high fives the kids. But instead of a high five, I did our like softball handshake and she looked like. Wait a minute.
Covino
Wait a second. So let me ask you this since you're talking about it before we get into things. You made that made you go, hmm, NFL draft edition. This was your first time playing mascot for the kids. You think you did a better job than other parents that were previously the mascot? Is that what you're saying? I feel like that's what you're getting.
Danny G
What I really want to say is I could only imagine they felt so inadequate.
Covino
What makes you think that you were so much better?
Danny G
My gritty. My running man. Yeah, but my enthusiasm.
Covino
If it's a liberating sort of thing, like a freeing sort of thing where everyone just wants to be there their silly selves. You're saying you're best at it.
Danny G
Do you know the things that you wouldn't really do as yourself?
Covino
That's what I mean. If everyone feels that way, like if.
Danny G
You told me what makes you so me rich? Come on, do the gritty. I feel embarrassed, like, I don't know, guys. Do I want to. Do I look so good in the costume?
Covino
Right? Yeah.
Rich Davis
As a mascot you can just be a goof.
Covino
But that's my point. If he felt the freedom to be even goofier than he already is, doesn't that seem apply to every parent that's done it previous?
Danny G
And I don't, I don't half asset mascot in the Valley.
Covino
That's why. So what I'm asking is, I'm not saying you weren't better. I'm saying what made you better.
Danny G
I already got calls, people saying, hey, do you want to be the dinosaur at Universal? I'm like, no, no can do. I'm busy. I'm busy. I was asked, do you want to Optimus Prime? I said, sorry, guys, can't man. Can't do it.
Rich Davis
We know you already compete with him as a Coach better mascot you or got leap.
Danny G
Come on, come on. Give me a break.
Covino
So that was Rich's morning. Mine, man. I was just lamping, dude. Lamping. Enjoying the glorious Friday, getting ready for the weekend, watching lots of highlights from last night, of course.
Danny G
So yesterday, got home, I DVR'd the draft. And could I tell you, you know how there's times where there's certain things that are so great DVR'd?
Covino
You mean you'd have to sit through the long ass walk that each player had to make.
Danny G
I did. Like how some of them tapped their logo of the team and some gave a little more. A little more style when they tried on the hat in the mirror. I thought that was cool. Lids had the setup, but Tyler Booker.
Covino
Really leaned into that for the Cowboys. Yeah, that was cool.
Danny G
I'm gonna tell you this. And. Oh, man, he was. Yeah, but he.
Covino
He hit the logo real nice.
Danny G
But you know why? I mean, think about it. Alabama to the Cowboys. Like, those are two. You know, he's played for some legendary places. Now, my thought is this. Before you get into all the things that made you go. The NFL draft might be the best programming to DVR by far. I got home about an hour into the draft. I turned my phone off, I turned it on silent, and I told my wife, dvr the draft. I'm at baseball practice with my kid. No one, no parents said anything to me. The ability and freedom to start that an hour and 15 minutes later and be like, and the first pick. Once I watched them all walk down the aisle, I watched them hold up the jersey, and I was like, fast forward, fast forward, fast forward for us. The pick is in. Press play. Dude, it was amazing. I recommend everyone do it in the future.
Covino
A baseball game, a condensed version of a baseball game is always kind of fun, too. I mean, I like sitting through a baseball game. A manageable two hours nowadays. Two hours plus. But if you happen to miss it and you watch the condensed version that the MLB app offers, that's pretty cool. Cause it just cuts out all the fat.
Danny G
That's what my dad does for Sny and the Mets. A lot of times he'll be watching some nonsense with his wife, and when she goes to bed, he's like, oh, I'll turn on the Mets. And he'll watch. It's like they trim it down to like an hour.
Covino
I'm trying to think of what else would be good, like maybe some sort of pageant. Fast forward. Look for the bikini part.
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
And then see who wins. That was fun.
Danny G
You know what's a good thing to DVR the Bachelor? Because there's a lot of nonsense, downtime. On a date with someone you don't care about. And you're like, it's a three hour show, so how about smut?
Covino
Sometimes you're just looking for the good parts.
Danny G
What's the good part? Why don't you tell everyone? That's case by case. Why don't you? Why do you tell everyone?
Covino
Depends on what your thing is, I guess.
Danny G
So let's get into it. I was Sam. He broke out the football sound effects. Every football season. We do it on Mondays. Things that make you go, hmm.
Covino
Let's go, baby.
Rich Davis
Things that make you go, hmm.
Covino
Things that make you go. NFL Draft edition. Your thoughts, your observations. There's no wrong answers, no wrong phone calls. Is anything you took in yesterday. This is where we get you involved. We do it like Rich said throughout the football season. We do it today. Special edition as it continues. 877-99-FOX. What stood out to you? It doesn't necessarily have to be about the pick or the surprise, but maybe just a weird observation, like, I'll start off with one. It's an obvious one, but it did happen. Did you see when Roger Goodell came.
Danny G
Out on a bicycle? Could we start there? No.
Covino
But I love this. And Lil Wayne, how gleaming white his kicks were. I did notice that he was rocking some shoe white last night. Those were mint. But did you notice how long that walk was? I did mention that, yeah. Our boy Jack Mack said it looked like they were in a furniture store. It did look like they were in a furniture warehouse just sitting there. But that walk. Reason to fast forward. It was a long walk. It was like, man, you know, that was very noticeable. I did notice that when the bikes.
Rich Davis
Were all lined up on stage, did you notice that the. The bike James Jones was on was wobbling? He was having trouble balancing it.
Danny G
It's hard to ride a bike slow. It's hard to ride a bike kind.
Rich Davis
Of getting into a circle. And I was like, something's bad might happen here.
Danny G
Imagine they all tip over like the motorcycles and Pee Wee's big adventure.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Danny G
So I Goodell's gleaming white sneakers came out on a bike. Now Bears fans, Bears fans had a laugh at it. I thought it was really cool when Clay Matthews had the. Oh, I have a letter from the president. And it's just a total diss at the Bears.
Rich Davis
It was a good little prank.
Danny G
I enjoyed it straight from President Trump. The Bears still suck.
Rich Davis
My fellow Americans and we're like, oh.
Danny G
This is a real letter from Trump himself. Now Covino, pick number one was the obvious one, Cam Ward. And then the fireworks that have started from there because we have a trade and we saw Jacksonville move up and I feel like they gave up quite a bit to get that number two pick. So I asked everyone in the room, Dan Buyer, good to see you, my friend. Danny G. I was Sam Cavino and Rich Spotty, if you're Travis Hunter, is Jacksonville much better than Cleveland? Where would you prefer historically to play? I feel like Jacksonville's trying to build something now with new, new leadership. But where would you rather play? Dan Byer?
Rich Davis
I think that it's the opposite of historically. And that's why I think it was so important for the Jaguars because again, we know about the Jaguars in London. They're not going to be moving to London. It's not going to happen. They're going to be building basically a brand new stadium on the side of their current stadium. So the Jaguars are in Jacksonville for a long time, but they needed a star like Trevor Lawrence did not cross over into that first overall pick quarterback superstar in the NFL. And so I think it was value to Jacksonville to have what could be possibly the next superstar in the NFL, no doubt be on their team.
Danny G
And, you know, it could elevate Trevor Lawrence's game.
Rich Davis
I think so as well. And it also is a commitment to Trevor Lawrence because you give up a first round pick in a draft next year that we think is going to be pretty good with quarterbacks and he's got that long contract, so there would be a heavy cap number. But remember in February we were dissecting that Steelers Trevor Lawrence rumor. So it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that Jacksonville would want to move on. I think that that move said a lot of things about what Jacksonville wants, where they're going and what they want to be.
Danny G
And I think Covino is it safe to say for the first time in a long time because of Travis Hunter and maybe Trevor Lawrence, that's a little rejuvenated. Jacksonville will be exciting to watch this year that you're going to have another reason to watch Jacksonville, without a doubt.
Covino
And I think that's why they made this move. And you know, great analysis, db, but what I took away from it too was how excited he was to say he wanted to play in Florida. He seemed pumped about it, genuinely excited.
Danny G
Everyone's breaking out the Duval.
Covino
He leaned right into it. Take a listen.
Rich Davis
Well, let me preface, this is actually a Little mashup of Liam Cohen doing Duvall from what, a few months ago? And then Travis Hunter.
Covino
Nice Duvall.
Rich Davis
I just did my best Duval back there, but I got you Duvall.
Covino
Yeah. Immediately embraced Florida, and, you know, his excitement, I thought was contagious. I have to also mention that neon pink jacket he was rocking last night, looking hot. He was looking like Kelvin Washington. I saw him wearing a pink jacket similar recently. But, yeah, man, that was a cool pick and a very, very surprising one.
Rich Davis
And how about him taking the call while Lil Wayne was standing right next to him?
Danny G
That was cool.
Rich Davis
Picture it looks like he's Little Wayne's son. It's great. But the other thing, we watched a lot of Buffs football. Tons of the country did because of Deion Sanders. The one thing about Travis Hunter, you just got to hit him accurately with a short pass. He'll do the rest of the work.
Danny G
Yeah.
Rich Davis
So this should be easy money for Trevor Lawrence.
Danny G
Should be interesting. And the Jags seem to be committed to giving him an opportunity to play both sides of the ball in some capacity. So, again, makes Jacksonville a hell of a lot more exciting. Now. Where do you go from there? I was saying, can I.
Rich Davis
Before we get past the second pick in the trade, me and Jason were talking about this, and we talked about this on Doug show that Cam Ward was completely eclipsed by the trade. He was given no shine. And it's like, yeah, we might have assumed he was going to be the first overall pick, but I've been told that that trade between Cleveland and Jacksonville was in the works for weeks. So it's like they could have waited a few minutes and given Cam Ward more of the time he deserved as the number one overall pick.
Covino
Let it breathe a little.
Rich Davis
It didn't. He was like, he got 45 seconds, and then, you know, Adam Schefter was off geeking out and stuff. So I don't know, I thought, like.
Covino
That'S another great observation.
Danny G
No one's talking about Cam Ward today. You're right.
Covino
When all said and done, everyone's gonna remember that Cam Ward was the number one pick. But you're right. That was the big story. The bigger story was the Cleveland, Florida trade.
Rich Davis
Yeah. The other thing that I would say to that is we've known Cam Ward's gonna be the pick for about the last couple of weeks. Like, they were like, so. So it is. There is drama with all of this, and there wasn't a lot of drama. And I felt that the. The. Even though the Sam's Point, if The trade was in the works for a couple of weeks. It happened last night. And so that's what was going on. So as you just said, Cam Ward's gonna have a great career and it's gonna be a footnote that he didn't get his five minute highlight package. I'd be more mad if they were, you know, talking about Shooter Sanders and why he didn't go at 2 or 3 or whatever instead of talking about Cam Ward. But in reality, I'm not heard about Cam Ward.
Danny G
It's funny to your point, guys, I made my notes. Cavino has his notes. Do you have Cam Ward written anywhere?
Covino
I do.
Danny G
Oh, I do. I have a whole list of my observations and I do not have the name Cam Ward on my list.
Covino
You know, like when I made reference to him being the first pick and props to him and the Titans. That's really it.
Rich Davis
He did become a meme though. There was one meme that floated around right away because of the lack of flash, how he just looked clean with a little chain. And the meme said no flashy jewelry, no flashy suit, no flashy girlfriend hogging the attention. Just a regular suit, thin chain, alma mater pin, and his parents by his side. That's pretty cool how clean he looked.
Covino
That's kind of cool. You stand out by, by not being flashy at a moment like this. That's kind of cool. I respect that.
Danny G
I have a ton more observations than I know Kavino does as well. But if you want to talk about style, as they say, drip. We said it before we even got off the air yesterday. I knew social media would rip apart Adam Schefter's odd suit hoodie combination.
Covino
It was noticeable and I got it.
Danny G
It was a little chilly. He even matched it. But I knew it the minute I saw it. I'm like, oh, like you know, 50 something year old white guy trying to wear like the hoodie suit combo.
Covino
But you know why we, we recognize this stuff? A, because we have eyes, but B, because it's such a big night and these are lasting images, right? A la the Brett Favre situation where he's there in his Wranglers and his shorts. Like these are lasting images in our mind. So on a big night like this, you can't help but notice what people are rocking and what they're doing and the actual choice that he made so he chose to do that. Granted, it was probably chilly. I get it. Maybe it was a last minute thing. But it's hard for you as the guy watching on such a big night not to notice that, silly as it sounds.
Danny G
Well, if you want to chime in, we got plenty more to talk about with the NFL draft because I mean, night two for the first time in a while, there's some quarterbacks, there's some players that were not taken yesterday that I think it's more incentive to actually pay attention tonight. I don't know the last time I was this pulled in for night two of the draft. So we'll get to that and a bunch more right here. Kavino and Rich on a Friday at FOX Sports Radio. Oh yeah.
Covino
Take your Phone calls next, 877-99-NOO. Now we got to talk. Dollar Shave Club. Dollar Shave Club exists to keep grooming costs down and smooth levels high. They cut out the middleman to help you get the best possible products for the best possible prices.

Covino

It all changed when I had this guy come to me.
Rich Davis
He said to me, you know you're not Latina.
Danny G
And first of all, what is that?
Covino
My mouth is wide open.
Sam Mullins
Yeah, history makers like the Sucard family who became the first Peruvians to win a Grammy.
Covino

Covino
Is this about Goodell's shoes or what?
Danny G
Not about Cam Ward?
Rich Davis
Yes.
Covino
Nah, Goodell's shoes. Those are fresh and clean. Those were white.
Danny G
Oh, did he buy those? Those products you see on Instagram and TikTok. What is it? When you see the foam, you get in the zone.
Covino
He was using Shoelorious. When I see the foam, I'm in the zone.
Danny G
Well, our buddy.
Covino
Or he was using some magic eraser on those bad boys. They were gleaming.
Danny G
Magic eraser. Best thing for your Jordans and Air Force ones. Fun fact. Our buddy Michael yo chimed in. He's a big Miami fan, so he might be a little jaded, but he said, cam Ward, all business, no outrageous bling, no flash. He's going to be rookie of the year. The kid's ready. So, I mean, you know, I think it is a fun night, though, to see how everyone represents, like you said, style, enthusiasm. In fact, it wasn't until the end of the first round, but I had my. Do you have a favorite pick of the draft? Not like for the team, but like, favorite kid.
Covino
Well, I liked a lot of the reactions. I thought Jackson Dar was pretty pumped. I liked the moves the Giants made to get him. A lot of Giants fans wanted that guy. I like that he was there with his family and how sentimental they all seemed and excited about it. And yeah, I think he's the future of that team. I like that. I like that reaction.
Danny G
I mean, if you want to talk about things that made you go, hmm, wasn't it, Wasn't it Joe Shane's son who last year said go Jaden Daniels? He didn't. And then this year he said, jackson dart dad. And what did we get? Jackson dart dad.
Covino
Yeah. How cool is that? And I do think that, like I said, Giants fans were pumped about it. And I was pumped for friends of mine. I have a lot of Giants friends who wanted that to happen. So I was pumped for him and pumped for my friends. And when Ashton Genti went to the Raiders, I was super pumped for you, Danny G. Because last year you wanted Pennix Jr. And you got hosed, but this time you got what you wanted. So, you know, I was pumped for you and I was pumped for him.
Danny G
You know what? When you hear the first syllable of someone's name and you know it's not. I was when the Jags and, well, they traded up, but when the Patriots did not go with Genti, when they're like, and your pick is. And I didn't hear Ash, I was like, danny G's got to be fired up.
Rich Davis
Like we talked about on the show yesterday, I didn't think the Patriots were going to go running back, but I did think when the Jag said, we're going to make a splash, I thought that they were going to stand in the way at 5. So once they traded up to 2, Scott Shapiro was here in the main studio and he looked at me and he's like, clear path now. And I was like, clear path, dude.
Danny G
I thought of you, Danny, only because you and a lot of Raiders fans I know want a genty and I'm not one to make predictions like, well, this guy's gonna. But with Pete Carroll running that team and he is run heavy. What he did with Marshawn Lynch, a lot of people pointed this out.
Rich Davis
And don't forget Chip Kelly now the oc he loves to run the ball.
Danny G
And this could be like a perfect scenario for this game.
Covino
It's perfect because Geno Smith, you know, he could throw and he could run and you got this guy there too, so.
Rich Davis
And Geno's best. I think TV would back me up on this. I think Geno is better suited for play action when he's got a good runner next to him. That's when he's most effective. Absolutely. Seahawks just could ever get anybody healthy enough to continue to stay on the field. Kenneth Walker is good for 12 games, but agreed.
Danny G
Know who my favorite was? I don't want to skip too far ahead, but towards the end of the first round when the Buffalo Bills pick Maxwell Hairston, this is the guy that was like loving and hugging and bro, hugging everyone. His enthusiasm not to sound like I'm, you know, emo boy. I got a little emotional. My wife's like, you okay? I'm like this kid I'm so happy from. I don't even. I don't know a thing about him. But his enthusiasm was contagious.
Sam Mullins
You have hugged every single prospect that has been called before you tonight. Now it is your moment. How does it feel to trade Kentucky blue in for Buffalo Blue?
Rich Davis
Man, this is.
Sam Mullins
I can't believe it's going on right now.
Danny G
I got el so thankful. I'm so blessed, man.
Covino
I'm so happy to hear my name.
Rich Davis
Cause truly a dream come true. I give all thanks to God and your family.
Sam Mullins
You love them so much. They you are wearing them with your heart and soul tonight.
Covino
Show us your jacket.
Rich Davis
Everywhere they with me everywhere I go.
Covino
I love my family, man.
Danny G
My biggest support system.
Sam Mullins
Congratulations. And western New York's gonna love you.
Covino
Let's get to work, Buffalo. Yeah. You gotta love the reaction and the emotion and you know, it's for their family. It's the hard work they put in and it's that little kid they once were and making that dream come true. And you heard that throughout the night and that's what makes it so fun.
Danny G
No doubt. Your observations. You want to go the phones?
Covino
Yeah, let's do it. 87799 on Fox. 87799 on Fox. Any observation from last night? Our NFL draft edition of things that made you go hmm.
Danny G
Well, we are live from the FOX Sports radio studio. And for over 40 years, Tire Rack has been helping customers find the right tires for how, what and where they drive ship fast and free, backed by free road hazard protection and convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.
Covino
Okay, so before we go to the phones, I do want to point out a very viral moment that I'm sure you saw over and over again. So I'll get this out of the way. Offensive lineman from Texas, Kevin Banks Jr. Kelvin Banks. I'm Sorry. No, Kevin, isn't it? Kevin. Kelvin. Kelvin banks. Kelvin Banks Jr gets drafted by the Saints and there's a little baby in the shot.
Rich Davis
So good.
Covino
And immediately the little baby throws up and everyone's zooming in on it. It goes viral. And I'll tell you, it was definitely a big moment because you're like, yeah, they're in the middle of all the fun that happens. People like, is it cuz the Saints or.
Danny G
No, my, my, my wife was the first to point that out because you know, I'm watching the bigger picture. She's like, oh, cute baby. She has baby fever. And I'm like, nope, we're not having a third. So she's like, oh, look at the baby. And she's, she's like, didn't you see that? I'm like, see what? You rewind.
Covino
I didn't see it until, you know, it went viral on social media.
Danny G
Baby probably just had a bottle. I'm not saying they shook the baby, but in the excitement, with the excitement, just, just moving a baby like that around that little. We've all had kids that little spit out the.
Rich Davis
It's not like the Exorcist, Linda Blair. No projectile vomiting. It was a little spit up.
Covino
So hard to miss that one.
Danny G
But a really funny Kavino as you always talk about. Those are the moments that the family will talk about forever. That kid's going to be grown up and the stories be like. And then when your dad got drafted, you threw up. Oh yeah. Like that's going to be the family story. Let's go to Jeff in Maryland. Jeff, you're on with cnr.
Covino
Hey Jeff. Hey fellas. I think it's hilarious. You know, Goodell, probably not. You know, he's sort of a skinny.
Danny G
Sort of a frail guy.
Rich Davis
I don't think he's too big. But the one observation I had was.
Covino
These big bear hugs that come out.
Rich Davis
And just trap him.
Danny G
Like he's almost like a rag doll.
Covino
Where his head go into the.
Rich Davis
Almost their belly.
Danny G
Like I would break several vertebrae. Let me tell you. He gets, he gets picked up, tossed around and some of these intense like handshake into bro hugs. Like those are not gentle. Like I guarantee at the end of.
Rich Davis
The night he's like, Damn, who's 27th? I think he gave him that long, long. He picked him up, he gave him the old spine stretch. I don't know, Dan, if you.
Danny G
I don't let me get my charts.
Rich Davis
Out later in the draft, but in the first round, but he really held onto him.
Danny G
For a long time, man.
Rich Davis
Look how Starks. I think it was Starks. Yeah.
Danny G
Yep.
Rich Davis
And he was joyful about it, too.
Covino
Who else do we got?
Danny G
David in Texas. What's up, Dave? David.
Rich Davis
Hey, guys.
Danny G
How's it going? What's up, man?
Rich Davis
I got two. I got two things, man. You stole my thunder with that, with the Bills pick.
Danny G
But I'll send you this other one.
Rich Davis
When the guys were joking around on stage, Saban wasn't laughing much, too much at all.
Covino
Stuff like that.
Rich Davis
So that's one thing observation I took and the other one, I want to send out my love to the Pittsburgh Cedar pick. His mom died. All respects. God's taking care of her. Peace out, guys.
Danny G
Enjoy.
Covino
Is he talking? Derek? Derek Harmon.
Rich Davis
Yeah, Derek.
Covino
Carmen. You know what's interesting about that pick, too, is it's clear that they went defensive tackle, so they totally passed on a qb, which means they're leaving it open for Aaron Rodgers. That's what makes you go. That's the biggest story there. It's like really, they're. They're really banking on Rogers. They must have a lot more confidence than we as fans do. Well, that's how you know what he has left.
Danny G
That's how you know, Kavino, that Aaron Rodgers is in the mix. And also, absolutely, that chador is rubbing people the wrong way. Those are the moments. There were two times where I told my wife, who was like half ass paying attention, like, babe, babe, come here. I think it's going to happen. And when the Saints passed him early, I'm like, all right, then he might go to 21. The Steelers. And then when the Steelers, you heard a different. Again, when you. It's like when the Academy Awards, when you hear the first syllable, the first name, and it wasn't should, you're like, oh, my God.
Covino
Yeah. Congrats to Derek Harmon of Oregon. So you have to imagine that now.
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
That that's happened. We're going to get a Rogers update any minute.
Danny G
Not only. Not only a Rogers update, I think there's still the. The big surprise tonight coming off, like, who will want Shador Sanders?
Rich Davis
Yeah. In fact, even President Trump has weighed in on Sanders. You want me to read it real quick?
Danny G
I would love for you to read it.
Rich Davis
What is wrong with NFL owners? Are they stupid? Deion Sanders was a great college football player and was even greater in the NFL. He's also a very good coach, street, wise and smart. Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son has phenomenal genes and is all set for greatness. Trump wrote in a truth social post. He should be picked immediately by a team that wants to win all Capitals. Good luck Shador, and say hello to your wonderful father.
Covino
Well, like we said, fuel to the fire. As he said fuel to the fire. Legendary. But he sort of got what he deserved last night, meaning some humility. It had to be really embarrassing for the kid to not go last night. And that was his big biggest criticism was that maybe he's a little too cocky. So maybe this puts him where he needs to be.
Danny G
Well, we got more observations, but it's time for Dan Buyer in an update. DB as we get into night two of the draft, we got NBA playoffs. I'm sure a lot on your play today.
Covino
What up Dan?
Rich Davis
Browns are on the clock at number 33 overall to start that second round. Texans and Titans will follow. It all gets resumes coming up at 07:00 Eastern Time. Second and third rounds taking place tonight. Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested on DUI charges earlier this morning in Minnesota following a team draft party. Peterson was allegedly going 83 in a 55 mile per hour zone. Breathalyzer test came in at 0.14. The legal limit in Minnesota is 0.08. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the NFL triple header on Christmas Day will likely be a permanent thing Made the comments to the Pat McAfee show also said that the Thanksgiving Day games will alter kickoff time. So that Lions game that started at 12:30 Eastern different than everything likely will go to a 1:00 Eastern time kick like we're so used to on Sundays. But I did like the 12:30 Eastern. I thought there was something funky about it. I I did appreciate it.
Danny G
Woke up, turned the game right on the west coast, right?
Covino
Absolutely.
Rich Davis
Early starts of the day. But the more attract traditional window for Thanksgiving, kids turn off the parade.
Danny G
It's time for football.
Rich Davis
Sorry, Macy's Jason Hansen's about to kick off the the other note from the NFL is that Roger Goodell did tell the Pat McAfee show they may look into shortening the timeframe for first round picks. It used to be 15, now it's 10, he says maybe going down to 7. And if a team needed a little bit more time, they could give them a bonus couple of minutes. That was just something that he floated today. And usually with Roger Goodell says something, there's a reason why he says it. Yeah, Celtics and Magic tonight in game three. Pacers and Bucks will play their game three as well. Lakers and Timberwolves in Minneapolis at 9:30 Eastern. No John Morant for tomorrow's game four for the Grizzlies against the Thunder. OKC up three. Oh and that best of seven series. Cubs and Phillies are underway in Chicago after a rain delay. Cubs on top two nothing right now as they play in the third inning at the Zurich Classic. Andrew Novak and Ben Griffin lead at 16 under par in second round play of the team event Live golf. Bubba Watson currently having the lead. You can see on Fox Sports too, as they play in Mexico city. He's at six under par. Bryson DeChambeau one shot back. Guys, back to you.
Covino
Thanks Dan.
Danny G
DB Camino to what Dan said about Roger Goodell maybe shortening the draft times. It proves my point that I said I DVR the draft and there's a lot of great information. You like watching them come out of the tunnel holding up the jersey, bro hugging Goodell, highlight reel, quick analysis and then there's like four minutes of all right, the picks in what are we doing? It is the ultimate DVR thing. So I think Goodell is so you're.
Covino
Replacing the Bachelor because you always hate those one on one dates. Yeah. So you're replacing the Bachelor with the NFL draft to be the number one yard thing to watch.
Danny G
DVR ultimate show. All right. Hey, we got more Cavino and Rich, more things that made you go home and we're going to play our fun game. Is it Cavino or Belichick? That's coming up? Some weekend hobnobbin and of course NBA playoffs and night two of the NFL draft all coming up.
Covino

Covino
Is it Goodell being ragdolled Aerosmith song?
Rich Davis
That's why I played this song.
Covino
I got you Sam. I played up on it. I was Sam on the ones and twos, Danny G on the phone, super producing at 87799 on Fox. But now it's time for the tyrack play of the day the Jags moved up the number two trade with the Browns to grab Heisman winner who said is capable of transforming their franchise even though the sport of. What are you having.
Danny G
Are you having a hard time?
Covino
No, it's just I'm not able to. Are you reading like you read it? What for it? You tell me. Get ahead. Go ahead, Lanny Poffo. You read it. Go ahead.
Danny G
Take time for our tyrant player of the day, the Jag 3 of the day.
Covino
But go ahead. So you already messed up.
Danny G
No, it's a play of the day. No. Yeah.
Covino
And you said player.
Danny G
The Jags moved up to number two in a trade with the Browns to grab the Heisman winner who they said is capable of transforming their franchise and even the sport of football. Oh, there he.
Covino
There he goes. Take a Listen.
Rich Davis
With the second pick in the 22025 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Travis.
Danny G
Hunter, wide receiver from Colorado.

And I said I have my favorite meme because there are so many good ones. I feel like I don't know who makes all these memes because they don't get credit. They. You just. You see one, you repost it. There's. It's like the Internet. You used to say who uploads all these like old school TV clips and themes.
Covino
I still wonder who did that.
Danny G
Who is the kind soul that does that and gets nothing in return?
Covino
No one. Well, no one gets credit.
Danny G
My favorite meme is Shador Sanders face photoshopped over Will Smith on fresh prince hugging Dr. Uncle Phil. How come they don't want me, man? Well, that's the best one I've seen.
Covino
Because it doesn't matter who your daddy is in the NFL spot was talking about that. It's not the NBA. NFL is much different. You know, I respect what Trump said. I think it's kind of funny, right? What are you crazy? Not drafting Shador? But it doesn't matter how great his dad was.
Rich Davis
It sounded like he wanted. He wanted teams to draft Dion and it did, right?
Covino
Yeah. Like his dad was so great. Well, you know what? Maybe his son rubbed people the wrong way in the interviews. That's what we discussed yesterday. On the show, we've seen the Trump.
Danny G
Kids, but by the way, other than other than Trump, there were a lot of people that were shocked. I feel like the most shocked person was if you did watch it on espn, that wasn't a vampire, it was Mel Kuiper. And Mel Kuiper the whole time had him at number one. My number one quarterback on the board. All right, I guess they picked Cam Ward. But then when Jackson Dart was chosen and traded up for, I think Mel Kyber blew a gasket inside. He's like stunned by this. So. And then he started saying, well, Brady was chosen late. Brock Purdy was chosen late. Then he started rattling off guys that were chosen late. Mel Kuiper doesn't get it.
Rich Davis
This is what he does year round, though, like. And so he, he builds up through the entire year up to this day. And then his pick, his analysis is completely blown up. So it makes him look kind of bad.
Covino
Well, speaking of people that we were watching, aside from the players, like Mel Kuiper, can I just shout out field Yates and his flow and his salad. I saw him and Scott Van Pelt talking about it, but here's what stood out to me. Okay? So he has this full on flow going on. And you saw his mane. He's got like a Kenny mane. He's got new hair, right? And Van Pelt's like, I didn't hear a word you said because I was just admiring the flow. And he said, thanks, svp. I've been letting it grow since December and I'm thinking to myself, he's been growing that hair for five months. Like, my hair would be down, I think down to my shoulders.
Danny G
You would look like Clay Matthews. You would look like the vato Matthews.
Covino
If I didn't cut my hair for five months.
Danny G
Dude, you look like Danny Trejo.
Covino
I just can't believe how handsome he looked. Like he hasn't groomed it in five months. If I didn't come here in five months, it just would look. It would look bad.
Rich Davis
Why don't you do it?
Covino
Let's see.
Danny G
With the long hair, I would say.
Covino
I would say, how would your hair look if you didn't cut it for five months? I go six months.
Rich Davis
I go six months between haircuts.
Covino
You know what? I swear you had a Bob Ross thing going on for a while.
Rich Davis
I know.
Covino
So you know the fact that he says he hadn't cut it since December, it did stick out to me because.
Danny G
I'm like, every two weeks, see a lot, a lot of black Guys and Latino guys that have more the fade. Look, two weeks, maybe I get a monthly spot, monthly haircut, maybe every month.
Rich Davis
Yeah, if I go six weeks, that's a long time, Shaggy.
Covino
That's what I'm saying. So, I mean, the artist, he has to trim up his neck a little bit or something. 5 months. Good for field the eights. He was looking handsome last year.
Danny G
Sean and Sacktown, what you got, man? NFL draft. Go ahead.
Rich Davis
Yeah. My favorite trio on the radio. First of all, I am over here dying at the low open the story about Rich being a mascot, man, look, it took me back to my days at Chuck E. Cheese at Arden Fair Mall up here in Sacramento, man, the dopest Chucky in the building for all the same reasons. Goofy as hell. Had a little herbal remedy going before I even got in the suit. So, you know it's gonna be hilarious. Keep doing what you're doing, Rich. Take, maybe take a little edible and lock. Even more greatness for them kids out there, man.
Covino
As far as.
Danny G
You know what? Hold on, Sean, hold on. We got a break, but I want to hear from you, as always, absolutely. Hang tight. More Covino and Rich next right here.
