Yeah. But, you know, think from my standpoint. I love hanging out with Big Mike, who runs this place, but I'm hanging out with him, like, for a half hour by myself while you guys are in your car listening to the Proclaimers.

So I was listening to Bread. Yeah, baby, I'm a want you.

But anyway, I'm not complaining, just explaining.

Way, since we talked about it, I feel like everyone listening is like, oh, you idiots. I've seen it now. It's infiltrated everyone's algorithm.

It's literally everywhere. It's been on every show.

We did it on Doug show last.

[Covino]

Hour, swept the nation. It's unbelievable how this. This question's garnered so much debate.

[Rich]

Even the jackass dudes like Steve O. And Pontius and all those guys are like, listen, we've been up close with these gorillas. We've thought about doing bits with them. One gorilla will rip apart 100 men.

[Danny G]

See, your boy Sean Merriman said he could. He could take one out.

[Covino]

Sign him up. Yeah, you know what? I think we answered it when we found out. I don't know if you saw this, but it went viral last night.

[Rich]

There's an answer.

[Covino]

There is an answer. 1. Chuck Norris could beat up 100 silverback gorillas. @ least we answered that part of the question. No, we're done with that debate, even though the rest of the world isn't. The question is, what's worse? The answer seems obvious, but we're gonna give you a case by case sort of situation where you could decide 87799 on Fox to chime in. What's worse? A kid embarrassing their parent or a Parent embarrassing their kid. Now, you could easily say, well, clearly it's the parent embarrassing their kid.

[Rich]

I don't know.

[Covino]

Again, I can make a case for both, Rich, because today the Falcons were fined $250,000 and Jeff Ulbricht was fined $100,000, totaling $350,000 in fines because his nose picking kid, who's 21 years old, by the way, Jack Zolbrick pranked Shador Sanders. Man, that's embarrassing to his dad, to the organization, to everybody. Okay, so that's a kid embarrassing the parent. And then, of course, when it comes to parents embarrassing the kid. Did you see Tyrese Halliburton's dad last night? That was kind of embarrassing. He's the daddy. Talk about habitual line stepping. Crossing the line as a parent. And it starts like in Little League. You have to know these things. When you go to a little League game, Rich will tell you. He's Coach Dickey. There's signs at the Little League field. Parents remember, the kids are watching, insinuating, don't embarrass your kids.

[Rich]

I'm glad you said that, because I. There's two big stories. We're gonna dive into both of them. Like we're Jacques Cousteau or Greg Louganis. We're gonna dive into the Halliburton Giannis story.

[Covino]

Well, it depends how deep you want to dive.

[Rich]

The Ulbricht story. We're just not gonna go in one of those submarines that have heard bad news about this.

[Covino]

No, no. But I have stories, other stories for each side of the case.

[Rich]

But when you said it all starts as little kids. Yeah. The parent in the stands, essentially bat dad from South Park. Bat dad who's at the fence. Come on, Ba. Hey, elbow up, Johnny. Come on. Oh, come on. Why you. Good eye. Good eye. Oh, come on. That guy is a freaking embarrassment to his kid. But you know what's also embarrassing as a coach? I'll tell you right now. When your kid is the one that won't listen or talks back to you.

[Covino]

And screams and cries at the game.

[Rich]

If your kid's the one that cries, if your son or daughter is the one that has a meltdown, you don't think that's embarrassing.

[Covino]

And you know what? Rich is so right on that. Again, we assume that the parent embarrassing the kid is by far the answer. But we can make a case for the flip side. Guys, this is one clear example right there. Here's a parent giving up his time to be there for his kid. And then you have this kid undermining the dad, humiliating the dad, Cursing out the dad in front of not only the other teammates and the other kids, but all the parents. And you know what happens till this day? I'm 40 something years old. Sam, Danny G. I know I look like a spry 20 something, but I'm 40 something years old. I still remember those kids that embarrassed their parents at the Little league game, that would cry and kick and scream and yell at their dad who was coaching, giving up his time, trying to be there. Still remember these kids. They were an embarrassment. An embarrassment. So what's worse? Kid embarrassing the parent, parent embarrassing the kid. And why. 87799 on Fox.

Man, there's so many layers.

[Covino]

If your kid, let's say your daughter's in gymnastics and she starts crying and doesn't want to go on the beam or something, and the teacher's like, is she okay? And then you have to be like, honey, come here, kids. Oh, this is a tough one. How about because your instinct is to say when your parents embarrass you, that's the worst. But if you, if you're not a parent, you don't know that feeling of that, that when your kid's the one that doesn't listen.

[Covino]

But here's the thing. It doesn't take a lot for a parent to embarrass their kid. I embarrassed my kid this morning because I was playing yacht rock when I dropped her off at high school. She's like, dad, please can you lower Ambrosia, please? Not everybody likes.

[Rich]

What song was it?

[Covino]

Seals and Croft. What were you playing? Baby, I'm a want you Baby, I need you. Oh, Brett. Oh, Ambrosia, you're the biggest part of me. I was in my yacht rock zone.

[Iowa Sam]

Isn't that like a skin disorder?

[Covino]

That alone embarrasses my kid. I mean, you could say something to their friends, like, dad, you embarrassed me.

[Spot]

What?

[Covino]

I said hi to your friends. It was the way you said it.

[Rich]

Sometimes I try to embarrass my kids, to test my limits of where I'm at. Because my kids are still young enough, Danny. Where I'm like, sort of cool dad. And I'm waiting for them to be like, ah, my daughter's dance class. I was a little late to it, and I wanted, I wanted her to know I was there watching her. Cause I'm like, dad's gonna come straight from work. I pop my head in and I go, yeah, is this the dad's hip hop dance class? And my daughter looked at Me and laughed. I'm like. Cause that's gonna run out soon. Yeah, that's gonna run out soon.

[Covino]

But again, a parent should know better, right? A parent should know better when it comes to embarrassing their kid, which is why Tyrese Halliburton's dad really overstepped by taunting a superstar on the court last night. We all saw the footage, and at first we were like, what's going on, man? Are they just getting aggressive? Is this a form of love and respect? Like, nah, that was a heated exchange yesterday, and that was not cool. And even Tyrese was embarrassed by his dad. He said it in the press conference. If you missed it, guys, here's the flip side to what we're saying.

You know, as far as the incident between Giannis and my pops, I. You know, I don't think that my pops was in the right at all there. And unfortunate, you know, what happened in the end there. But, I mean, this series was a lot of war of words, a lot of war of antics, a lot of stuff going back and forth, and that's just part of, you know, this. This rivalry and what we've built here over the last couple years. And, you know, it's unfortunate what happened there, but I think it's just competition. And as far as my pops, again, I don't agree what happened there? We'll have a conversation. You know, everybody's grown men, and, you know, we'll. We'll just go from there.

[Rich]

He was in the face of Giannis.

[Covino]

In the face.

[Rich]

And he was holding up a towel of Tyrese's face, taunting Giannis, but in defeat.

[Rich]

By the way, you recently cove went on a. A fun rant about how poor Patrick Mahomes has to do with his dad and John Rocker and all that.

[Covino]

Bad enough I got my brother and Brittany in the news, and I got my dad fighting John Rocker.

[Iowa Sam]

Like Dewey's.

[Covino]

I'm just trying to be a good guy, trying to win some Super Bowls, trying to stay out of that, and, you know, I got them bringing down my image. You think Patrick Mahomes needs his dad fighting John Rocker? Hell, no. So a parent is really stepping the line when they're putting their kid in a bad situation. A parent's supposed to support their kid.

[Rich]

Big but. And I know you like big butts.

[Covino]

I do. I cannot lie.

[Rich]

Here's a big butt. But if your kids groan and they embarrass you, then there's that sense of, oh, what did I do wrong along the way? A la not to get Political, like Hunter Biden or, like, you know, like Bill Clinton's brother. Like, when you have, like, relatives in the political world or, you know, if your kid embarrasses you on that level.

[Danny G]

Yeah, Rich, I was gonna mention. I think that's the difference here. And even if your kids are younger, the other people around could judge you for how you're raising the kids. I don't blame Tyrese for something his dad does.

[Covino]

No, no. Great point. Great point. And, you know, back to that. Giannis went on and he was asked about it and just explained that victory doesn't give you the green light to taunt and disrespect. He felt disrespected in that moment. Take a listen.

I believe, like, being humble in victory, that's the way I am now. There can be a lot of people out there that are like, no. When you win the game, it's a GRE light for you to be disrespectful towards somebody else. I disagree. I've won the championship. They haven't. Okay. And that doesn't say anything. I'm not trying to minimize their effort, but losing the game, emotions run high. Having a fan, which at the moment, I thought it was fun, but then I realized it was Tyrese son, which I love Tyrese. I think he's a great competitor. He was his dad. Sorry.

So we asked you again, what's worse, a kid embarrassing their parent or their parent embarrassing their kid in regards to everything that happened this week. Jax Ulbricht embarrassing his dad and Tyrese Halliburton's dad embarrassing Tyrese. Last night we mentioned Patrick Mahomes dad. He's embarrassing Patrick all the time. I got to mention this. I don't know if you saw this. It's actually an old clip that went viral just again this week. Maybe this story's sort of on everybody's conscious radar with everything going on. It happened at a Concord, North Carolina, where it was a youth wrestling match, and two kids are wrestling like young teens, and one kid makes an illegal move, and the referee is like, hey, illegal move. And he stops and he points at the kid. Like, I'm going to take away a point or whatever. He says to the kid. The referee is just doing what a referee does. The kid's blow hard. Dad comes storming at the referee, pummels him, knocks him down. And it's an f around and find out situation, as it turns out, because, oh, my God, look at this, dad. He just pummeled the referee who was doing his job. That Referee turned out to be a lawyer and got this dude in some hot water. But again, dad's overstepping, embarrassing the kids. It's always that blowhard dad at the game. It's like, you're embarrassing your kid, man.

Pop Warner football dads.

[Covino]

Pop Warner football dads. Or as Rich called it before, daddy ball. But again, yeah, kids could embarrass the parent.

[Rich]

Let me give. I'll give you a couple examples. You tell me what's worse. I'll take it out of sports for a second, then we'll go back to sports.

[Covino]

I have an answer, Rich.

[Rich]

For instance, like Meghan Markle's dad, remember when she got all involved with the Royal family? He was like, maybe trying to like sell the story. And talking to tabloids is like, oh, man, it's embarrassing.

[Covino]

But it goes back. Danny made a really great point, Rich. Yeah, that's embarrassing. Right? But it really is no reflection of them. That's the thing. It really is. If my parents are a holes. Yeah, that's really no or shouldn't be any reflection of me or you. Right? So that's the only difference when it comes to that.

[Rich]

Like Justin Bieber, who is a talented dude, I mean, he's gone through some ups and downs, but like, every so often his dad will come out and say, allegedly, some like, anti gay stuff. And then Bieber's gotta be like, ah, it's my dad. I don't feel that way.

[Covino]

You know, you're adding to the ammunition right now.

[Rich]

But now let's go on the flip. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. Arguably one of the greatest couples in Hollywood, Tom Hanks was cheering on Lindor last night. Did you see that?

[Covino]

Yeah. Thought he was a Dodgers fan.

[Rich]

Tom Hanks and Reed Wilson. Now we know him as the star of a Netflix show with Kate Hudson. But for a long time it was like, what happened to Chet Hanks? They raised that kid.

[Covino]

He's tarnishing the name a little.

[Rich]

So you got to ask yourself, what's worse, the kid embarrassing the parents or the parents embarrassing the kid?

[Covino]

Speaking of recent, again, these are recent stories. Okay. Just this past weekend, you know, I'm a big fight fan. There was a huge fight between Connor Ben and Chris Eubank Jr. Leading up to the fight. This is a family legacy fight. Both of their Dads fought in 1990, so Nigel Ben fought Chris Eubank Sr. In 1990. Anyway, family legacy, pride on the line. Their sons are fighting this past weekend. Connor, Ben and Chris Eubanks Sr. Chris Eubank Sr. I don't know if you saw this. Took an egg and smashed an egg into the face of Connor Ben at the press conference.

Humiliating.

[Covino]

It seems like a WWE sort of antic, but it wasn't. It was a humiliating, disgraceful sort of moment. And Chris Eubanks dad again, who was also a fighter and prideful dude from Jamaica, he was like, my son disgraces me. He embarrasses me. That's not a professional. How do you look your kids in the face, smashing an egg in public, using profanities, cursing. He' disgrace. He was so embarrassed that his son would stoop so low and do something so low brow and lame in a, in a competition in this way. So again, a lot of times the kids embarrass the dads. That just happened this past weekend. And it was a great fight, by the way. That was a great fight. And Chris Eubank Jr. Ended up winning. Side note, making his dad proud. But a kid could really embarrass you. And you don't think Julio Seycheller Chavez Sr. Is embarrassed by his son who's fighting Jake Paul in June? I bet you he was at one point.

The two big sports stories that are going on as we speak give you both angles of this. Jeff Albrecht got to be embarrassed by his son's actions.

[Covino]

Pranking Shador Sanders cost him in the team 350,000.

[Rich]

And then on the flippity dip of it, then you got the other side where it's like, Tyrese Halliburton's pops is embarrassing him. And I got a few more I thought of. So tell me what you think of these.

Because you could argue both sides are like, well, they're embarrassing him or they embarrassing.

Give me a few more examples and then I'll think about what's worse, give you my answer. We'll take some phone calls.

Billy Ray Cyrus, one hit wonder.

Oh, his dance moves are just straight up embarrassing. Does his, his dance moves embarrass me?

[Rich]

Does his whole public Persona and what he is embarrass Miley Cyrus?

[Covino]

Yeah, but there was a point in time where he was a heartthrob and he was the coolest guy going. But, yeah, I get what you're saying. Go ahead.

[Rich]

Michael Jordan's son getting arrested with Larsa Pippen back in the day. Like, is MJ's son doing him no favors?

[Covino]

Doing him no favor. He's doing the legacy in the family name. Drug possession, Drug possession, no favors whatsoever. The Jordan name is a prestigious name now.

[Rich]

You could look at this on both sides of it. Elon Musk. Are his kids embarrassed to him or is he embarrassed of his kids? Like, that's a double doozy, right? Depending on.

[Iowa Sam]

Well, one of his kids is definitely embarrassed of him.

[Rich]

Yeah. But I think he's equally embarrassed of how many.

[Iowa Sam]

He has, like, 19 children, so one's.

[Rich]

Bound to be embarrassing, odds are. I'll give you another one. This is a political one. Elle King, the singer, she has a couple pop songs. Her dad is sweet Robbie Schneider, and she's like, my dad's a Republican and I don't talk to him. And then he had to come out and be like, I'm trying to mend the men men things with my daughter.

So, you know, on a lower level, guys, based on that point, Rich with L. King and sweet Robbie Schneider, how many people I know, close friends of mine that are so embarrassed by their family members and parents political views on social media?

There is a bit more context to that Rob Schneider and his daughter thing. Like, I think she said that he sent her off to, like, a fat camp when she was younger, and she always resented.

I don't know, but she was just maybe chunky. Had sort of that baby weight as a teenager.

I think he actually sent her to camp, and it was not a good experience for her.

We got what's worse going on before we get into midweek. Major and Big Mike's Wednesday words of wisdom. Rich Belichick theory. Big Mike. What's worse? Kids embarrassing their parent. Jack Solbrick embarrassed himself. He embarrassed the Falcons. He embarrassed Shador Sanders. Just straight up mean when he pranked him. But he embarrassed his dad, Jeff Ulbricht. And that's why the fines were made. $350,000 in fines. And of course parents embarrassing their kid, that's also really bad. And we saw it last night. I'm thinking Tyrese Halliburton's dad crossed the line.

[Rich]

Man, I'm thinking so hard. You're making my brain work too much. Cuz I'm. Every time I think I think I'm convinced. I change my mind. Cuz I'm like, dude, I've seen parents embarrass their kids. I saw a dad, I told, maybe I told the story where a dad stood up at like the kids little soccer dinner and he's like, had a drink in his hand, he was all buzzing. He's like, yeah, sorry if I'm really loud on the soccer field. It's just I want my daughter to love me because my dad never loved me. And I'm like, oh God, that poor kid. So you could say, oh, it's worse when the dad embarrasses or mom embarrasses the kid. But then again you're right if you are, if your kid embarrasses you, it's like you've done a bad job raising them.

[Iowa Sam]

No, but kids brains are still developing like it's baked in. It's built in that your child's gonna make mistakes. Jax is 21 and young men make stupid mistakes all the time.

[Covino]

Covino and Rich, we've been doing this show for a long time and we gotta stay consistent with our theories. And we have a theory to justify our bad behavior. Cause let's just say in our 20s we weren't always the greatest of guys, right? But you know what we say to alleviate ourselves from the bad reputation? To justify it. Ah, we were in our twenties. Doesn't count, right?

[Rich]

So our ex girlfriends didn't believe Camino's theory though. That was the looking back.

[Covino]

I was in my twenties. Cuz you know what? You're supposed to make mistakes. You're supposed to figure it out. You could attribute it to they were young and stupid or you're just a kid. Jax Ulbricht made A big mistake. It was mean. It was cruel, what he did. Pranking Shador. But he's a dumb kid, and he put his dad in a bad situation. But he's a dumb frat boy. 20 year old, 21 year old, spoiled idiot, okay? And I hope he learned from that. As a parent, your job is to support your kid and stay out of their way. Don't ever get in the way of their success. You're supposed to lift them and again, be there for them, not be in their way in any way, shape or form. So for a parent to embarrass their kid, even though I'm sure Tyrese Halliburton's dad feels bad about it, is way worse. I think it's way worse.

[Rich]

So do you mean the week of the Super Bowl, Mahomes, Sr. Getting in a scuffle on Bourbon street with John Rocker?

[Covino]

Yes, because you're an adult and you made a conscious adult choice. I don't care if emotions are high, but he's still an adult.

[Danny G]

But Kov, his dad is his own man. I think that's where the difference is here. You. You talked about how you.

[Covino]

It's no reflection. I get it. It's no reflection on Tyrese. Embarrassing.

[Danny G]

But you're a little spoiled because your daughter, she's a straight A student.

[Covino]

She is.

[Danny G]

How many times have you been called by the principal or the dean? You haven't. I have. Because my teenager, unfortunately not a straight A student and gets into trouble on campus. And that is a straight up reflection on me and her mother. So I'm just telling you it's different when you're in those shoes.

Well, that's. That's important to me.

[Rich]

All right, so, Danny, so if you get a call from the principal, hey, your daughter was with kids, you know, vaping in the parking lot. That's, to you, worse than. What if your dad writes some dumb crap on social media?

[Danny G]

Yeah, well, a lot of people in my life know that my dad has fallen short for most of my life. My kid, though, lives in my house and is around me every day. That's a reflection of me and my wife. So that, I think, is more embarrassing when your kid falls short because they point right at you.

[Rich]

Covino, a few months ago, every time you think you made up your mind, you're like, oh, yes, it's a good debate.

[Danny G]

Check this out. A few months back, we get a call from the dean's office, and our teenage daughter was in the middle school bathroom. Her friend got caught buying a vape pen. From another student, and it makes you.

[Covino]

Look like a terrible parent.

[Danny G]

Yeah. And now the dean's. The dean's argument was that our daughter should have went and told an adult or stopped the sale. And we're like, what is she, a narcissist? She's not a campus supervisor.

[Covino]

Right, right.

[Danny G]

But she was in trouble for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now she still got in trouble. She got suspended for one day. But we had to sit in that dean's office and try to explain ourselves. And he asked about certain things going on with her and her grades and everything else, and that was a lot harder to swallow, Covino, than if my dad did something.

[Rich]

You're right, because now you're probably sitting there, and the principal's probably like, how's things at home? And you're like.

[Danny G]

Exactly like.

[Rich]

Oh, God, I would hate that.
