No, they mean the guy that loves to bring the fun and my cranky old co host.
Steve Covino
Yeah, football's not all about fun, man.
Danny G
Bring the fun, bro.
Steve Covino

Hey, don't forget after the show Danny G. Puts up the podcast and all that fun stuff and wanted to point out if you liked our game that we've been playing called quote me. We're going to bring it back next week so don't worry. Don't get your chonies in a bunch.
Steve Covino
Of Quote Me on Tuesday, but we.
Danny G
Have a brand new game we're going to debut in a few called Steve Cavino or Bill Belichick and this is going to be a lot of fun. So if you want in, you Want to play 87799 on Fox. Win yourself a stainless steel water bottle as we get ready for baseball to.
Steve Covino
Kick off because we're both grumpy like what's the correlation here?
Danny G
No, I. Can I explain how I got here? I'll explain how I got here. So I'm laying on the beach, might be under the influence. That's. I don't remember looking at the waves crash. Sipping on a drink. And I said to my wife, exhausted.
Steve Covino
From a dance competition. I'm imagining exhausted from finally getting alone with my twerking competition that he entered.
Danny G
I did a push up contest, you know, with a bunch of college bros. No. And I turned to my wife and I get, oh my God, Babe Covino and Bill Belichick are the same guy. She's like, what do you mean? Have you been drinking too much? My wife's from Texas. And I said, no, no. Think about it. They're both grumpy. They both don't want to do things when people tell them. They both date significantly younger women, both named Jordan. And your girlfriend Jordan sort of looks like his girlfriend Jordan.
Steve Covino
Can I just say though, there's like a 40, almost 50 year age difference between them. Not quite the same, but I get it. All right, fine. So we'll play.
Danny G
Oh, yours is like half of that.
Steve Covino
Sorry, is it Steve Covino or Bill Belichick? And if you want in 87799 on Fox. Your chance to win a Swiggy multiple choice is pretty simple. And it's a stainless steel water bottle, coveted. Nice fries. Sapphire Midnight black CNR on fsr. Swiggy, you know, because your kid loses every other one you have at school, so you need a new one. I wanted to mention really quick, Rich. Good timing for you to win the Swiggy too because the shipment for those that have won in the past 60 days goes out on Monday. So.
Danny G
So they'll get a quick win today.
Steve Covino
You get it quick when the shipment goes out next week. You want to play Cavino or Belichick?
Danny G
Call now while we get a contestant ready. One nf. And something you just said about the lost and found. I went to the kids assembly this morning at the elementary school. You ain't kidding. It's a barrel of water bottles and hoodies. Like, do these kids have any responsibility? And then they go off to college, want to dance instead of play football?
Steve Covino
My goodness, it's insane. Kids lose their water bottles and hoodies every day at school. We're losing our minds. Bringing the madness here on the Cavino and Rich show. And let me just promote two things.
Danny G
Yeah.
Steve Covino
Over Promise is our bonus show. We had a fun one yesterday. Talking about brackets. We got you hyped for baseball. Talking Baseball cards. So. And foods, lots of gross foods this year. It's a thing. They're trying to outdo each other every year with new food items at the ballpark. So we talked about that on over promise. That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, episode 84. You could listen, you could watch, you could enjoy it. We appreciate it. And no one really promotes websites anymore. But hey, if you're in the business of that. Covinoenrich.com all our info is there. Covinoenrich.
Danny G
Com Websites. What are those really? Just a landing page.
Steve Covino
But you know what? I was just looking at it because I've been there in a long time. It's like, oh, yeah, we have all sorts of things available there.
Danny G
No merchandise if you want some dumb T shirts if you want anything.
Steve Covino
All sorts of stuff.
Danny G
I hate that shirt that you guys made.
Steve Covino
Which one?
Danny G
It looks like a Wheaties box, but instead of we need that, it says Wiki's and it's a picture.
Steve Covino
I'll pay for it.
Danny G
I want to.
Steve Covino
I don't even agree, but it looks cool.
Danny G
But like, how rude that they would make a weeky shirt with my face on without even asking.
Steve Covino
Your week. It's weak that you brag about softball all the time. That's what's weak. So can I point out one thing, though?
Danny G
Please do.
Steve Covino
Covino. What did you, what did your parents.
Danny G
Call you when they were mad at.
Steve Covino
You when you're a kid? Like your full name, right? Steven. Steven Anthony. Bill Belichick has a son named Steven. There's another similarity right there. Even Belichick in the family. Commonalities are endless.
Danny G
They are. And you know what? I'm going to tell you how I got there. And Danny G's already lining up contestants. So I'm on spring break. And again I realized Kavino, Belichick, both grumpy, both younger girlfriends named Jordan. And then I started laughing with my wife and I was like, all right, guess who it is? Which is Belichick or Kavino? And I was giving her examples based on what I was seeing on social media because I saw Kavino's Mexico pictures while simultaneously I was looking at Belichick vacation photo. So I said, all right, honey, who was it? Kavino or Belichick that was just riding ATVs but let his girl ride, you know, drive while they were shotgun? And she's like, I don't know, Belichick. I'm like, wrong, Kavino. I started making my own little game. I'm like, all right, honey.
Steve Covino
I let Jordan drive. Because I'm a gentleman. That's why she was driving. The ATV passenger on an adventure.
Danny G
Passenger Princess.
Steve Covino
Yes.
Danny G
I had a couple more. I said, all right, babe, who's on the beach doing gymnastics and yoga moves, and she's like, Jordan and Kavina. I go, no. Belichick and his girlfriend.
Steve Covino
Yeah, that was odd.
Danny G
And I gave her one more. I said, all right. Who just took a picture outside of a lighthouse wearing music T shirts? And she's like, oh, Kavino loves music. Kavino. I go, no. Belichick and his girlfriend. He was wearing a Taylor Swift T shirt.
Steve Covino
But that's what makes it tricky. It could be either one of us. Is it Covino or Belichick? Your chance to win. Eight, Seven. Seven.
Danny G
All right, Danny G. Do we have contestants ready? I see all the phones are lit, so I'm just getting the. I'm getting the thumbs up from Danny G. In a second. Either that or he's doubling as a phone sex operator. Danny, we get to go.
Steve Covino
You know what? Monsie has to do a tournament update for other stations, so we're going to wait for her to finish that, then we're going to fire the game off. Can you please tell me you guys can kill two minutes on this show? I think Rich could talk about his brand new flip flops for two minutes if you want him to talk about it.
Danny G
In fact, I need brand new flip flops. It's funny you would say that.
Steve Covino
No, you weren't giving away answers there, were you? When you were talking about these different. You were quizzing your wife.
Danny G
There's so many come out.
Steve Covino
Are there. Is this a game we can play more than once? Rich, do you get the McFanning flops with the bottle opener on the bottom?
Danny G
Yeah, if you were a trash bag. What do you mean?
Steve Covino
Those are the best ones. We could definitely play this game more than once. And I want to thank Vito, Ricky and Bob for helping me set up the imaging. You're going to hear perfect here in a couple minutes. While we wait, Vito, Ricky and Bobby Sounds like a tire shop. It does. It's like the Fox Sports radio, Manny, Moe and Jack. It sounds like the Pep Boys, so they make a good hoagie.
Danny G
Before we get to the game, I do have an NFL quickie question that'll that. You said kill two minutes. I could kill 20 hours. I could. I could.
Steve Covino
Rich could kill your buzz. He's that annoying. We didn't ask for 20 minutes.
Danny G
So I'm looking at news alerts this morning trying to figure out what we're talking about on today's show. And I saw Aaron Rodgers, as Monty also pointed out, meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Steve Covino
He was there for six hours. That's the story. Six hours meeting with the Steelers today.
Danny G
And the more I thought about it, listen, some of the other options for Aaron Rodgers seem like dead ends. Like the Giants, like he's not going to take a three win team. Even though Malik, Neighbors and him could have had a pretty sweet connection. It's not going to take a three win team. And all of a sudden they're magical and Aaron Rodgers one to possibly two years left.
Steve Covino
It's a convenient move, but it's not a good move.
Danny G
But with the Steelers, what's our criticism of the Steelers over the last couple of years? They're in football purgatory, right? Like we always joke about how, you know the Steelers are permanently between 7 and 10 and 10 and 7.
Steve Covino
Like when you're always 500 there, I.
Danny G
Mean you can almost guarantee they'll be 9 and 8 or 10 and 7. And Tomlin finds a way to win enough to keep his job, but never enough to win more than one playoff game. Maybe not even right. What if Aaron Rodgers is that difference maker Enough. What a wild ending to his career if he went into Pittsburgh which has such a great football legacy, such a great football fan base. And imagine if Aaron Rodgers, after all of us ridiculing him with the jets, the Iowa.
Steve Covino
It's just not worth it. Look, he still got juice, he's still a legend. But why were guys like to out of the league sooner than they should have been? Why?
Danny G
Pain in the ass.
Steve Covino
Just the noise around them, right? Who needs the circus? You think the Steelers need the noise in the circus of an Aaron Rodgers.
Danny G
But I'm saying that's really the thing.
Steve Covino
It's not, it's not really anything about him and his abilities. It's where he, where he is mentally. And I'm not sure it's 100% on football. And it's the circus that surrounds him.
Danny G
Danny G. Could we agree on the following? The Steelers top tier defense.
Steve Covino
Yes.
Danny G
A solid receiving core. Now with the addition of DK Metcalf.
Steve Covino
For sure a great coach. There's some Steelers fans who wanted to show him the door, but. Yeah, but this Tom would get along with Rogers. I don't know. Yeah, we don't know that. Overall he's been a great coach.
Danny G
We're talking about a team that's just itching to get over that hump.
Steve Covino
Right. Like again, yeah, they're always two, three games above 500 football purgatory.
Danny G
What if Aaron Rodgers is that little oomph, that little. That little seasoning on the meal where the tastes a little bland. What does this chicken need? A little.
Steve Covino
Little Lowry, some Lowry.
Danny G
What if Aaron Rodgers is the Lowry's? What if he's that seasoning? What if he's that rub on the steak?
Steve Covino
What.
Danny G
What if he's that to the Pittsburgh Steelers? Just something to think about.
Steve Covino
He's that Tahin to my fruit salad.
Danny G
That old bay seasoning. Little old Bay. Let's do it.
Steve Covino
Let's go. All right.
Danny G
Are we ready for the game? Let's go.
Steve Covino
Steve Covino and Bill Belichick have some things in common. Bill Belichick's the man. They both have younger girlfriends named Jordan. He ain't the man if that was wasn't my daughter. They both have a powerful presence in the sports world. Work harder so you can do that when you're 72. You tell us, is it Steve Kavina or Bill Belichick? I'm not mad at him at all. I want to know what it is. I saw and heard this game on your guys Patreon and I said, I'm gonna put that on the radio show.
Danny G
Let's go.
Steve Covino
So from Rich's late night edible mind onto wax from me here. Let's meet our contestant on the studio line looking to win a CNR Swiggy. And then I'll quickly explain the game. Chris in Mobile, Alabama. What up, Chris?
Danny G
What's up, bro?
Steve Covino
Hey, what's up, guys?
Danny G
What's up? I finally listened to y'all filling in for Dan Patrick. Love your show, guys. Oh, thanks, man. Hey, can you do me a favor? Can you say large fries?
Steve Covino
Large fries.
Danny G
Okay.
Steve Covino
Can you say large fries? Pie, large coffee.
Danny G
I love your accent, brother.
Steve Covino
There we go. Chris, what do you do for a living living there in Alabama? Drive for an industrial supply company.
Danny G
Look at that, drivers Keep America running, man. Thank you, drivers.
Steve Covino
All right, here's how Covino or Belichick works. I've done extensive research on Coach and Covino and their young girlfriends. Each member of the crew is going to read a fun fact. And then, Chris, you got to tell us, is it Steve Covino or Bill Belichick? You have five chances to get two correct from Swiggy. All right, Rich is going to read the first fun fact.
Danny G
Okay, here we go. Is it Covino or Belichick? Belichick or Kvino? Here we go. Question one. His Jordan did modeling and was a Hooters Pageant girl while in college. This guy's Jordan has done modeling and was a Hooters pageant girl in college. Belichick or Covino?
Rich Davis
Covino.
Steve Covino
Covino is correct. High five over here.
Rich Davis
Smiling because of that one. He's glad. He's glad people know about Jordan.
Steve Covino
You know what's funny too, is, you know how Hooters, you know, filed for bankruptcy recently? The articles. All those articles were all over social media, and old photos of her, like, were there. I'm like, look at you.
Danny G
She was the stock photo.
Steve Covino
The stock photo of bankruptcy.
Danny G
And now that Hooters is filing bankruptcy, Kavino has so many puffy white socks.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
That he doesn't know what to do.
Steve Covino
If anybody needs to buy old puffy white socks. Guys, I got you.
Danny G
And that's why he's wearing little orange shorts today.
Steve Covino
Boom, Bam. Just like that. Chris in Alabama already on the board. Monsie is going to read the second fun fact. All right, so Kavina or Belichick?
Rich Davis
He first met Jon Bon Jovi while working in New York.
Steve Covino
Covino. No, I've worked in New York for a long time. We're out here in LA now, and I'm from New Jersey, but I never met the legend Jon Bon Jovi.
Danny G
Oh, my God. I've known you.
Steve Covino
Doesn't add up.
Danny G
I've known you decades, and I would have guessed Kavina, I never met.
Steve Covino
This kid is tricky. I love slippery when wet growing up, but, yeah, no, never met him.
Danny G
Jersey's Belichick jersey. Bon Jovi. Three for a loop. Yeah.
Steve Covino
All right, so one on one so far. Spot has the third fun fact. There we go. Belichick or Covino? As we know, Belichick. Huge in football, so we'll see. He Wore the number 85 jersey in high school. Is this Covino or Belichick?
Rich Davis
I gotta go.
Steve Covino
Belichick. No, the original Ocho Cinco, bro. The original. Yo. We were three time state champions, Union, New Jersey. We had such a nice run in high school. I was number 85, dude. Union High, class of 94.
Danny G
They gave the water boy number 85.
Steve Covino
Number 85, dude. Your OG Ojo Senko. Let's.
Danny G
Let's remember one thing.
Steve Covino
I don't. I think growing up, he played lacrosse and not football. He studied film for the high school. Dad was a coach, too. So look at me as a lacrosse player. I was ahead of the game. I played football. He didn't. All right, so one and two in the game. Iowa. Sam has the fourth fun fact here. Oh, joy. All right, here we go. All Right. He made guacamole with Rob Gronkowski. Covino or Belichick? I gotta say Covino. And you are right. Winner. That is two. Congratulations. Let me explain. So we did our show for years at SiriusXM and every Cinco de Mayo, we would do the guac off. Our annual guacamole competition. In one year, Rob Gronkowski was on our show. We made gronk together. Called it Gronkamole. Yes, I wrote that down.
Danny G
Gronkamole.
Steve Covino
We had Gronkamole. His girlfriend was there, Camille Kostek. And we partied together. So, yeah, I was actually right. Now you got that, man. You got that. Yeah. In the nick of time, there was only one fun fact left. So congratulations, Chris in Mobile, Alabama, we are going to mail you a shiny new CNR Swiggy. Have a great weekend, buddy. What was the last one? Congrats, bud. We appreciate it.
Danny G
We got to save it for next year.
Steve Covino
Yeah, there's again, there's enough meat on the bone to play this a few times, Roger. I mean, we are the same guy.
Danny G
Same exact guy. Was the guac off? Like, is that like a baseball and dips thing?
Steve Covino
Like a walk off home run?
Danny G
So no. So I like guac. Every year. Every year on Cinco de Mayo. We should bring it back here at Fox Sports Radio.
Steve Covino
Did it one year, you know.
Danny G
You know, yesterday we had that depressing conversation about COVID and it was the five year anniversary of Tiger King. Covid sort of killed the guac off because no one wanted to be dipping chips with each other around 2020.
Steve Covino
A taste testing competition of guacamole. A nice little fiesta every Cinco de Mayo.
Danny G
What we would do, we would have different celebrity friends, athlete friends, and Food Network friends and Food Network people all make guacamole's blind taste test. We'd go around the room and people would dip the, you know, dip in.
Steve Covino
And Gronks was good.
Danny G
Gronk and Camille Kostic made a guacamole with our pal Babchik from Mad Dog Radio.
Steve Covino
That's right. Yeah, we had a great time. And yeah, you thought it was Belichick, but it was actually me. So, yeah, we're the same guy. Who knew? Except his Jordan is actually younger than mine.
Danny G
That's the worst. And he's older than you.
Steve Covino
Older than you. So he could be your pet. Play more Cavino or Belichick? That was fun. I like that a lot. Steve Kavino or Bill Belichick? Same guy. And remember on Tuesday we're going to Play the other game that's sweeping the nation. Quote me. And later today on the show, more weekend hobnobbing.
Danny G
I don't really care about that. I want to say this in the kindest way possible. Mon, I need your answer, too. In fact, I want you to lead off. Monty, you're leading off your Shohei Otani.
Steve Covino
Okay, Got it. Yeah.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Danny G
I can't believe I'm asking this on Fox Sports Radio.
Steve Covino
Oh, boy.
Danny G
How sexually active do you think Bill Belichick and his girlfriend are, honestly? Do you think it's more of, like, a partnership, or do you think it's like he. Like, it is. You think it's. Do you think it's bedroom focused?
Rich Davis
Okay, but I think there is bedroom happenings.
Steve Covino
Yeah. They've been together how many.
Danny G
What's the point of dating someone that.
Steve Covino
Young if you're not going to be attracted to their young?
Danny G
I know, but I just wanted to, like, maybe he just makes her feel. Makes him feel young.
Steve Covino
But it was three years now. Three, like, three and a half years now at this point.
Danny G
No, they met on a plane. Remember? They had the joke. She. He signed the book or something. Yeah, but I just wonder, like, if he had 70 something.
Steve Covino
Well, hold on. Back in the day, you know, Cavino and Rich, we started with Maxim radio, and Maxim was also sports. That's how we got involved. We would interview like, playmates once in a while, and they would tell us that Hugh Hefner, well into his 80s, was way sexually active.
Rich Davis
Oh, yeah, I believe that.
Steve Covino
So, like, why would you think that Bill Belichick, who's in good shape and significantly younger and you have blue shoes and everything else everywhere, why would you think he's not. And he has a hot, young girlfriend.
Danny G
I mean, that is true. I mean, I'm just curious. Like, is it. Are they like a. You know, how you were in your 20s? Is he how he was in his 20s? Like, are they, like, going to the beach and go back to the room?
Steve Covino
That's how they were when they were in their 20s. But maybe there's a balance there.
Danny G
What did Stephen A. Say again? I don't know what he's on, but I want it or something like that. So, hey, congrats to Bill Belichick. You got to give him props. Okay, thank you.
Steve Covino
Thank you.
Danny G
Thank you, Bill. All right, we got more Kavino and Rich little weekend Hobnobbin. What to watch in the world of sports, March Madness, and of course, what's streaming on all your favorite networks and services. So we'll do weekend hobnobbing. We'll talk a little baseball, little football, a little of everything coming up right here.

We're officially linemates, Nate.
Rich Davis
We're the energy line.
Steve Covino
We'll have plenty of folks join us. Current players, some of my former teammates, hall of Famers, and wait till you see some of the connections that Julie has. She has quite the Rolodex. Okay, we'll lean into Nate's playing experience and tap into our interests away from hockey and try to do what energy lines are supposed to do. Provide an emotional boost.
Rich Davis
How do you feel about all that, Nate?
Steve Covino
I'm vibing, Julie. I'm ready to roll. Listen to Energy Line with Nate and.
Rich Davis
Jsb on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Danny G
My name is Brendan Patrick Hughes, host of Divine Intervention. This is a story about radical nuns.
Steve Covino
In combat boots and wild haired priests.
Rich Davis
Trading blows with J. Edgar Hoover in a hell bent Effort to sabotage a war. J. Edgar Hoover was furious. Somebody violated the FBI and he wanted to bring the Catholic left to its knees.
Steve Covino
The FBI went around to all their neighbors and said to them, do you.
Rich Davis
Think these people are good Americans? It's got heists, tragedy, a trial of the century, and the God damnedest love story you've ever heard. I picked up the phone and my thought was, this is the most important phone call I'll ever make in my life. I couldn't believe it. I mean, Brendan, it was divine intervention. Listen to divine intervention on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Steve Covino
Kavino and Rich, where it's at two turntables, a microphone, and CNR on fsr. I feel like you're a big Beck sort of guy. I respect the Beck. I respect the Beck. Yeah, I love Beckman. Respect. Bruce Beck is pretty cool too.
Danny G
Good.
Steve Covino
But just Beck. Bruce Beck.
Danny G
He's a fan of Glenn Beck's hair.
Steve Covino
Remember Beck's hair? Glenn Beck's hair. Beck. Jeff Beck.
Danny G
I'm sorry, when I say Glenn Beck, I wasn't thinking of the Fox news guy from back in the day. I was thinking Rod Beck.
Steve Covino
Remember on the Cubs Got a great mullet. Glenn Beck's got hair too. That's fine. I'm talking the artist Beck. If you're listening to the podcast, he's playing some Beck. Where? It's at CNR on fsr. So, pumped for the weekend. Gonna relax. I got sick after my vacation, so I'm gonna relax a little bit and catch up on the White Lotus, watch some college basketball, maybe have a brew. Ha ha. Anyway, again, it's great to be here. Question. No dancing, though.
Danny G
Question for you, baseball boy. After I let you know about Tractor Supply. Do you know Tractor Supply? Hooking someone up, buddy boy.
Steve Covino
Yeah. A winning season takes practice, teamwork, and a can do attitude. Thankfully, when you have a neighbor like Tractor Supply, teamwork comes easy. Whether you're caring for your pets, chickens, few acres, our team members will help you succeed season after season. Tractor Supply for life out here.
Danny G
Thank you. Tractor Supply.
Steve Covino
Good people. Is that becoming a thing now where.
Danny G
I'm gonna be playing farm animal sound.
Steve Covino
Effects throughout these reads? We probably shouldn't.
Danny G
I feel like Tractor Supply probably appreciates.
Steve Covino
I hope they do.
Danny G
Extra love.
Steve Covino
Yeah, it's love. I thought I this when I come to work because every morning with KOA he's learning colors, numbers, and animals right now. What does the goat say?
Danny G
Does he have a cow?
Steve Covino
What is that thing? Little spinny thing that we can.
Danny G
The cow goes.
Steve Covino
The dog goes, woof.
Danny G
Recently, Danny J. Cavino unlocked a memory for me.
Steve Covino
Oh, Spot. Nailed it. It was the cat goes meow, meow, meow.
Danny G
You guys are ridiculous. Kavino, unlocke. Unlocked a memory for me recently. Do you guys remember collecting your Matchbox cars as a kid? And you remember keeping them in that, like, almost like a blue padded.
Steve Covino
Oh, the carry case.
Danny G
Carry case.
Steve Covino
Yeah. It was like a wheel. Right.
Danny G
I totally forgot this existed. Did you have the little car wash?
Steve Covino
Yeah, you'd have those little foldable Matchbox cities. A little, like, thing to push it through. Yeah.
Danny G
Or had, like, a little, like, water that would. Yeah.
Steve Covino
And there was a little spinner that dried it off. You guys were rich.
Rich Davis
I don't know what you're talking about.
Danny G
Well, Monty, did you have the. Did you have the fl. Did you have the farm set up with this? The red silo?
Rich Davis
No, those Roti.
Danny G
You're so young. You probably have the same toys as my kid. My son loves Pokemon, and I'm like, what is it? It's the first time my son talks to me about something. I'm like, I feel like an old guy. I'm like, you on.
Steve Covino
Have you guys seen these Pokemon vending machines at, like, yes. I'm like, what is this?
Rich Davis
And people get cray.
Steve Covino
That's this huge Pokemon vending machine. We get, like, giant packs of cards and stuff.
Danny G
Can I say. Can I sound like the oldest guy on planet Earth?
Steve Covino
Earth. Do it.
Danny G
When I was a kid, you'd want a quarter to get a football helmet. I was at Pavilions out here in LA yesterday, on the way out of Pavilions, my son's like, dad, what's that? It's so funny. I was. First time I saw it, $40 for, like. It's not like a dollar or so. This Pokemon vending machine. Vending machine has, like, 40 and 50.
Steve Covino
It's like something at the iPhone, like the Apple store. It's like a vending machine where you get, like, a new phone. It's like at the airport where they have expensive headphones because the opening is, like, this huge, like, slot. So you get out your merch.
Rich Davis
Was there a line for it?
Danny G
No, but a lot of the things are sold out.
Rich Davis
It was all right. Yeah. So the line had already come by.
Steve Covino
Wild.
Danny G
The Pokemon universe is probably worth billions. And I don't know our generation, if you're roughly 40ish, you missed it. So you're like, I got it. I don't get it. Do you get it?
Steve Covino
All. No, because I collected baseball cards like a real boy. Pokemon was a thing when I was a little weird. I don't get it, Rich. How much is it worth the industry? Billions.
Danny G
Billions and billions and billions.
Steve Covino
Well, you know what? Perfect transition, guys. Billions. But let me explain that our show, you gotta check out the Best of podcast. It goes up immediately. When we're done here, Danny G. Always edits up a nice Best of. And then on the weekends we do the best of the week. And of course, over promised our bonus show on fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. But speaking of cards, you're talking about Pokemon cards? Of course, there was the garbage pail kids growing up. I'm still a big baseball card fan. In fact, we did some unpacking on Over Promise yesterday. We had these 1990 Don Russ that we unpacked.
Danny G
I found $5 packs of 1990 Don Russ and we had a little fun opening.
Steve Covino
It's all on fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Episode 84 of Over Promised. But I don't know if you saw this today. A record was broken. Well, not necessarily a record. I'll explain, but the one of one rookie Paul Skeens card that we talked.
Danny G
About, we talked about this.
Steve Covino
Remember, he sold officially the Pirates.
Danny G
Remember, the Pirates offered some sick package, but the deal would be like you'd have to actually care about the Pirates.
Steve Covino
It was a little Dodger fan in la. The Paul skin's one of one rookie card with the tops rookie debut patch sold for $1.1 million. But they don't know to who. It's Anonymous right now. $1,000,000. The hefty price tag set multiple records. It's not only the most expensive skins card ever publicly sold, but it also earned the mark for priciest debut patch tops revealed in 2024. The card, which features skiing signature and the patch war in his first ever MLB game, would go in packs later this year. They've been doing it ever since with rookie debuts and this is the highest selling one yet. So it officially sold, but we just don't know to who that was. News today. What a.
Danny G
What a gift, huh? Imagine that. Imagine you're a little kid.
Steve Covino
Collector's still going crazy about this car.
Danny G
Pull that card. And now it's like, hey kid, your college is paid for the down payment on your house. Like, what a.
Steve Covino
What a.
Danny G
What a life gift.
Steve Covino
By the time he goes to college, it won't be by the time he goes to college.
Danny G
That'll just cover his college. Now speaking of Paul Skeens Let me ask you knuckleheads a question. Knuckleheads, who do you think as we get into baseball season as Danny and Monsey and Iowa Sam's Dodgers look like they're going to go 162 and oh, wow. Who do you think the odds leaders are for MVP and Cy Young as we enter the 2025 campaign in the NL, NL and AL Cy Young.
Steve Covino
It's got to be Shohei.
Danny G
Yeah, we'll start with MVP Shohei, hands down, plus 150, which is absurd because that's like almost an even money bet. I don't know if there's ever been an MVP like going into the season odds where 150 that you get 150 on like a one game bet. That's absurd. That's how we're watching and witnessing greatness in history right now.
Steve Covino
I feel like Rich brought this up because I brought up Paul Skeen, so he would be your NL Cy Young winner.
Rich Davis
Unless Yoshinobu Yamamoto gives him a run for thought.
Danny G
I said let's start with mvp.
Rich Davis
Well, I'm jumping on Kavino listener.
Steve Covino
I was just jumping on the NL.
Danny G
So in the NL, showhead plus 150 and there's two other candidates that are under plus 1,000, meaning two guys whose odds are the three best. Odds are Ohtani, hands down, plus 150. You got two other players that are plus 600 and plus 850. Who do you think the other two favorites in the NL are?
Rich Davis
I don't know. Let me just look at the teams. You know what I mean? You see the team's names and you're.
Danny G
Like, you start connecting the dots.
Steve Covino
Does Lindor get a nod being that he had such a big season last year and he's playing with Soto, Maybe even Soto's on there.
Danny G
He's 1, 2, 3.
Steve Covino
Soto's gotta be on there. Yeah, so it's got to be on there.
Danny G
8Th, 8th highest.
Steve Covino
But Lindor was so high last year and he has Soto to protect him. What about Tatis?
Danny G
All right, well, hold on. Let me tell you. Lindor first. Lindor is the 8th highest odds in the NL. It's got to be Soto + 2000. Juan Soto is second to Ohtani, + 600. And then Danny G. You nailed it with the padres. Fernando Tatis Jr. He's plus 850. So the NL MVP odds. Ohtan, Johnny Soto, Tatis, then Mookie Betts, Bryce Harper, Kyle Tucker of the Cubs getting some love. Then Ellie Dela Cruz, Francisco Lindor, Ronald Acuna, Acuna Jr. And Freddie Freeman, number 10. So three Dodgers.
Steve Covino
All superstars too, by the way. Three Dodgers, that's really awesome.
Danny G
In the top 10. Which is just shows you, shows you.
Steve Covino
That baseball putting out some superstars.
Danny G
Yeah. Here, listen to those names again. Ohtani, Soto, Tatis Jr. Betts, Harper, Tucker, De La Cruz, Lindor Acuna Jr. Freddie.
Steve Covino
Big names, man.
Danny G
Baseball is. Baseball's having a great run. Cowherd said a couple weeks ago, baseball stars. There's stars right now. A ton of stars in the nl.
Steve Covino
Name recognition too. That's what's cool about it.
Danny G
Stars. Now let's go to the AL for a second. Al, I'll give you a hint without. I feel like the hint will give it away.
Steve Covino
So.
Danny G
Okay, just.
Steve Covino
You go first.
Danny G
Al.
Rich Davis
Aaron Judge, Covino's boy there, you know.
Steve Covino
It has to be because he puts up circus numbers. Absolutely. He has to be the leader for mvp. He also drops balls like he's in the circus. Okay, okay, meet up. These numbers are so inflated.
Danny G
So Aaron Judge is tied for first place with plus 300. They, they are predicting. I'll give you the hint. They're predicting a young stud in the AL is going to have a breakout season. So Aaron Judge plus 300. Someone else is plus 300.
Rich Davis
Is it an Oriole?
Danny G
It's a good guess.
Steve Covino
Bobby, Bobby.
Danny G
Bobby Witt Jr. Of the Royals.
Steve Covino
Oh yeah, he had a great year last year.
Danny G
So if you want to give a couple other AL guesses, not as name heavy as the NL as far as superstar stars, but there are. Take a listen to the Al Aaron Judge plus 300. Bobby Witt tied with him. Bobby Witt Jr. Gunner Henderson of the Orioles, third.
Steve Covino
That's where I was going.
Danny G
Corey Seeger, Rangers. Vladdy Jr. Blue Jays. Jordan Alvarez, Astros. Jose Ramirez, guardians. Julio Rodriguez, Mariners. And then you got Mike Trout and Rafael Devers, man.
Steve Covino
Mike Trout still putting his name out there. Yeah, you know, it's not as a studly of a list that the NL has, but still some big names, man.
Danny G
Baseball is bringing it. Now we talked about this about a year ago. Before we go to Monty's update, let's go to the. The Cy Young award winners for a second because, because we talked about how it's been a transition year. Meaning the usual suspects. The, you know, Kaiser Soses, the Kaiser Soze's of the world. The, you know, the, the Grom's been hurt and you know, other guys like Scherzer at the end of their career, same like your boy Kershaw. Young guns who do you feel like is the Cy Young award winner. Do you want to give an update.
Steve Covino
And then think about of us Kaiser jersey.
Danny G
Yeah, give an update.
Steve Covino
Give it up.
Danny G
They think about it.
Rich Davis
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Steve Covino
All right, guys.
Rich Davis
So one game going on in this round one of the men's NCAA tournament and it's really four seed Maryland just all over 13 seed Grand Canyon 74 to 45, four minutes to go. But if you miss six seed Ole Miss and 11 seed North Carolina, you missed a good one at the end. Even though North North Carolina did nothing.
Steve Covino
In the first half, they came alive in the second half. Got really close.
Rich Davis
But the Rebels held on. They wanted 71 to 64.
Steve Covino
North Carolina being a controversial at large bid because they one game in the quad one stuff of things, you know.
Rich Davis
It'S supposed to matter. So they just lost to another quad one team.
Steve Covino
So there we go. Seven seed St. Mary's Edge 10 seed Vanderbilt 59 to 56.
Rich Davis
One seed Duke blew out 16 seed.
Steve Covino
Mount St. Mary's 93 to 49. Cooper flag and 22 minutes of play had 14 points. And two seed Alabama survived 90 to 81 against 15 seed Robert Morris. Mark Sears had a double double in the win today in the NFL. Yes, Aaron Rodgers met with the Steelers today.
Rich Davis
The NFL Network reports that the Steelers.
Steve Covino
Rogers have had a contract or parameters.
Rich Davis
Of a contract in place for weeks. That's what the NFL Network is saying. The Giants are still involved. The decision is in Rogers hands.
Steve Covino
The Chargers are signing tight.
Danny G
Not yet.
Rich Davis
Tight end Tyler Conklin to a deal.
Steve Covino
Yay.
Rich Davis
Go Chargers.
Steve Covino
Steph Curry is expected to miss the start of Golden State six game road.
Rich Davis
Trip beginning Saturday in Atlanta because of a pelvic contusion that he suffered last night. And Padres pitcher you Darvish is going to miss the start of the season due to elbow inflammation.
Danny G
All right, thank you, Monty. Real quick, the Cy Young favorites because I just want to let you guys know, the offense clearly has the bigger names because outside of the first couple, the N.L. bigger names. You got Paul Skeens the favorite to win the Cy Young. Paul skeens, not surprised. Plus 210 and then it drops way down after Skiings, Zach Wheeler, Blake Snell, Chris Sale, Corbin Burns, Spencer Strider, Yamamoto Glasnow, Alcantara and then you go to the Al and Scubal again number one. And then after that a bunch of names that I think the casual baseball fan doesn't know. Crotchet on the Red Sox, Reagan's on the Royals, Gilbert on the Mariners. So it's a transition year. For a lot of young pitchers that are going to step it up. Can't wait for baseball. We got more. Kavino and Rich next right here. Fox Sports Radio.
Steve Covino
Tires matter. Rich. You know tires. Tires, they're the only part of the vehicle that touches the road and they're responsible for everything. Acceleration, braking, steering, handling, tread confidently with new tires from Tire Rack.

It was just me naked.
Rich Davis
Well, not me, but me with someone.
Steve Covino
Else'S body parts on my body parts that looked exactly like my own.

I wanted to throw up. I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting this series took us through the darkest corners of the Internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? Today's Friday.
Rich Davis
Friday.
Steve Covino
Today's Friday.
Danny G
Ah, Friday. By the way, McNeese, I feel like everyone googled yesterday. Where is McNeese? And we found out where I was. Sam.
Steve Covino
Lake Charles, which someone called in and was like. I said Lake Charles was right across the street from New Orleans and they're.
Danny G
Like three hours apart.
Steve Covino
So.
Danny G
Right across the street.
Steve Covino
Right across the street.
Danny G
But how cool when they came out.
Steve Covino
It's a big street with a vibe, man. Yo, the team manager, you see that video trending where the little team manager comes out with that big speed, you know, players all vibing.
Danny G
We talked about it earlier. Playing loose and having fun. That was my point. Covino. They're having fun. McNeese with the big upstate. A 12. A 12 seed beating a five. And DraftKings had that at a seven and a half point underdog. It's so fun to wager on the underdogs. Another 12 beat a five today. Colorado State beat Memphis. Now after we're off the air Today, there's a 14 and three seed matchup that just because I think it would be hilarious if Troy. Troy beat Kentucky. Kentucky's at 11 and a half point favorite. So maybe a little Troy action. DraftKings sportsbook. What do you think?
Steve Covino
Sounds good to me. Yeah, if it's your money. Yeah. Are you. You putting the money up?
Danny G
Let's go up in Troy's bucket.
Steve Covino
Yeah. Now we're Cavino and Rich live from the tyre.com studio. And if you don't have the right team on the court, Express employment professionals can help. From contract placements to full time hires. We got you covered. Visit ExpressPros.com today. Let us handle your hiring so you can focus on growing your business. So it's time for this week's Pro of the Week. Now, Rich nominated Cooper Flag, but he's not a pro.
Danny G
That's true.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
I was like, oh, that's right. He's a college kid. He's not.
Steve Covino
And I thought about Sh Otani and I said, no. Okay, so the pro of the week is Bronny James. With all the pressure around him, with all the content he provides us throughout the week. And when he had a step up, he stepped up. 17 points last night, walking in there, three rebounds again. He was hitting the floaters, hitting the threes. With all the pressure in the world on him, he stepped up. Bronnie James, props to him, man. If you're gonna get on him all season, you gotta give him props. When they're due. Congrats to Bronnie James being our Express Pros Pro of the Week.
Danny G
You know what? That's something Covino points out a lot, and I totally agree with that.
Steve Covino
If you're going to be quick to.
Danny G
Bust someone's chops when they do something good, you have to then equally give them props. I'm all about, you know, being, you know, being fun with something, but if they deliver it, you got to give them their love. All right, it's Friday. It's time for weekend hobnobbing. Let's go live in for the weekend.
Steve Covino
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing, you ever done anything dangerous?
Danny G
You ever dance with the devil in the pale moon line?
Steve Covino
That is dangerous. Friday brings us weekend hobnobby. I asked out of all my prey. All right, first, I'm gonna watch to see how bad Snow White does in the box office. That's the first thing I'm gonna watch. I don't think it's gonna do very well. No, that comes out this weekend. I mean, Lord, for Farquaad of the Seven Doors. But I'm gonna watch or I'm gonna finish. I should say Bert Kreischer, stand up special. He's a cool dude. Friend of the show Bert Kreischer Lucky on Netflix. I started it, didn't finish it. I heard it's really heartfelt at the end. UFC Fight Night 254. Leon Edwards vs. Sean Bradley. Sean Brady, welterweight fight. You got Blackowicz and Allberg. You got Gunner Nelson versus Kevin Holland. And in the world of boxing, remember that big, tall fighter we saw at the neg whoop on Tim Zoo. Oh, yeah, Fendora's fighting again. He's fighting Booker this weekend for the WBO junior lightweight title. So some ufc, some boxing, some good comedy. That's what I got.
Danny G
That's it. Oh, all right.
Steve Covino
Hey, and over promised on fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, episode 84, getting you ready for baseball and talking brackets.
Danny G
All right. I got a show that's on Netflix I definitely want to check out. It's not getting the best reviews, but then again, I only read, like, one review, and who cares about critics? The Residence on Netflix. It has the woman from Orange is the New Black.
Steve Covino
The.
Danny G
The crazy eyes. The black chick. Crazy eyes, yes. She plays like a detective. There's a murder in the White House. So it's like a funny comedy murder.
Steve Covino
Mystery, only murders in the White House.
Danny G
Essentially. It's a shot. It's a shot. Shonda Rhimes show Giancarlo Esposito, who we love from Breaking Bad and a bunch of stuff. He's in it. Ken Marino from Eastbound and Down. Sound the boring alarm. Ken Marino's in it and a really big cast, so I. I think it's.
Steve Covino
Seems like a comedic murder on the Orient Express kind of feel.
Danny G
It does, so I feel like it's worth checking out. That seems like something. The kids go to sleep, you watch with the wifey or girlfriend. I'm all about that. Danny, if you're not already on board with Brenda. I know. We love dumb reality dating shows. Have you started Temptation Island? That you involved or what?
Steve Covino
Have not started it yet.
Rich Davis
Wait, is there a new season of Temptation Island?
Danny G
The one that started, like, a week ago or so? Yeah.
Steve Covino
Oh, you know, Monsieur's on board.
Rich Davis
Well, I've seen. You've seen the other seasons, right?
Steve Covino
No. You guys.
Danny G
Monty, can I tell you, the minute they get on Xylem, your instinct is, like, they're all gonna cheat immediately.
Steve Covino
