This season explores women from the 19th century to now, women who were murderers and scammers, but also women who were photojournalists, lawyers, writers, and more. This podcast tells more than just the brutal, gory details of horrific acts. I delve into the good, the bad, the difficult, and all the nuance I can find because these are the stories that we need to know to understand the intersection of society, justice, and the fascinating workings of the human psyche. Join me every week as I tell some of the most enthralling true crime stories about women who are not just victims, but heroes or villains, or often somewhere in between. Listen to the greatest true crime stories ever told on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Yeah, let's rock the stats, man. He what are you Topanga? Yeah. Rock the stats. Download our podcast. Let's do it. Get it for free. Search Kavino and Rich wherever you stream. And remember, overpromised our bonus pod. Have you seen Topanga from Boy Meets World? There was like drama on her podcast. And Kvino's right. They said the phrase rock the stats like 50 times. We're trying to rock the stats. Rock the stats. Download the podcast. Danny G. Oh man, I read about that little beef this morning. I was less of a Topanga guy. I was more of a Kelly Kapowski guy. I was more of a you would Morris. I was more of a Samantha Maseli kind of guy. Angela, Mona, Jonathan, Samantha. I was more Samantha. By the way, those girls and some guys that do podcasts now, what would they do with their lives right now if there was not a platform like podcasting? You know, they all. Some of Them do well on podcast about the show they were watching. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah. No, like I know that. I mean the office probably makes a ton of money in residuals behind the scenes on a 30 year old commercial show, but I think about all the great podcasts we missed out on as a result, like Kirk Cameron's and Gary Coleman's. Like, I would have loved Webster's podcast. That's a great point. Covina would have been the juiciest podcast in the 80s or 90s. I would have loved to hear Philip Drummond's podcast. Oh, when I met Arnold and Willis. Or Webster's podcast. Yeah, man, I would love that. You know what's a good one we missed? I bet you there would have been a good like Saved by the Bell podcast rerun. And Raj had a podcast that have been cool, man. Everyone's got a podcast. You know, in the Sopranos heyday, like a weekly recap. There's a Sopranos one now. Like looking back, the kids. Yeah. Jamie Lynn Sigler and the other whatever his name is, Robert Seiler. Yeah, they actually get a lot of props. They do great. They have a great chemistry together for sure. Yeah. So podcasts are like opinions. Everybody has one and most of them stink. Do you think Archie Bunker's podcast would have been racist? Oh, absolutely. Definitely. Uncensored. Yeah. So again, thank you guys for checking ours out and it's available again wherever you stream your podcast. Search Covino and Rich and Danny G. Puts a best of every day and there's a best of the week if you want to just check it out. So thank you guys again for being here. Lots of fun this hour. Shaq Diesel Whack Diesel trivia to get you all fired up for Lakers Mavs tonight, bro. My analogy stars when it comes to Luca and the Lakers stars stars in any relationship or job when someone insinuates you have a deficiency and that's why they cut things off. Like I said, dating, job, any situation, if you ever the opportunity to prove them wrong or thrown in their face. Luca right now was pretty much told, dude, you're a little soft and lazy and we don't think you got the long term ability to stay in shape essentially. I mean, there's no question it's exactly what happened. That's why they got rid of him. That would be like some girl who had a dirtbag boyfriend that was like, yeah, you're chubby. And then she comes back with a rocking bod and was like, look at me now on Like Jenny Jones or something. Luke is going to. I. Well, what is the over under? Let me look this up, because I feel like there's a bet to be had. I bet going from zero to hero. I bet you on DraftKings, it's got to be 30 something, right? You're going to see the most motivated Luca ever as Colin. You. You said he had a Colin like analogy. Yeah, like he's. He did say something along the lines of, you're going to see officially why this is the most aw trade ever. You're going to see how awful this trade actually was. When he lights him up tonight and we were talking about bringing your best and being great, he's going to remind everybody that he's one of the greats and he's going to put on a show tonight. Oh, damn. And believe you me, when we do things like Radio Row at Super Bowl, a lot of our former employers are there. You don't think that motivates Rich and I to be like, yo, let's bring our best and show them what they're missing? It's always great. Motor failure's a great motivator. Her breakups are a great motivator. How many times you get dunked by a girl? You're at the gym and in your mind, at the back of your mind, you're like, wait until they see me with the next hottie and my rockin bot. If you don't think that's what Luka is sort of feeling a little bit now, you're crazy. Of course he is. Like you just said every time. If you say, Rich, when have you been in the best shape? When have you been the most motivated? Probably after some girl told me I stunk. Yeah. When are you really trying to get that promotion or get ahead? When you got dumped and dissed because, you know, she left you for a guy with deeper pockets that motivated you. So you're going to see that Lucas Human, and he's just going to want to show you he's not pouting about it. He's going to show you tonight. Well, other people have my idea. So the over under is pretty steep. 31 and a half over under. Luca points tonight. What do you think? Yeah, we guessed 30. Because, I mean, like, I'm going over. I think he'll light it up. What he dropped Saturday, 34. And by the way, everyone's going to be feeding him the ball so that he can light it up. You know, I just think that it's going to be his night for obvious reasons. Mavs big men are out like they're just destined to be destroyed tonight. And their fans are going to be so sad about it. Oh, man. Let me. Let me. Let me pull a couple things here. 32. He dropped 32 on Saturday, so Luke is averaging 28, so it's not substantially more than his season average, but 28? 31 1/2. Could he drop 32? And the Lakers are favored by almost double digits. Lakers by nine. So it's the pettiest thought, but it's so true. You go Lakers, Lakers win by double digits. A Luca over 31, like a parlay. Dominate them. And again, I think he's going to show them every reason why they should regret making that move. Like I said, it's a silly, petty motivation. I admit it. He's like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Yeah, but when you got dumped or huge, if you've ever been dumped, there's a sense of satisfaction if you're able to make them feel in any way possible that they made a bad move and they regret it. And that's what he's going to do tonight. What's up, db? Here's my question. Who truly has the motivation tonight? Is it Luka against his former team, or is it the Mavericks team as a whole that has been told that they are significantly worse without Luka Doncic and no Anthony Davis? Aha. And who knows more about Luka Doncic than the Dallas Mavericks? To quote, Coming to America? It's a good one. He's a little shocked, though, if the Mavericks. You know why, though, Danny? Dan Byer makes a great point because we talked about this at the super bowl and we were trying to decide who's got more motivation for the three peat or for Jalen Hurts to get there. And we made the argument that how could you judge, like, everyone's going to be motivated if you don't think the Dallas Mavericks locker room is like, yeah, let's shut everyone up. Sure. And it may maybe their time comes when the game's in Dallas, but I also think, like, when that game plays, like, I'm almost thinking that Luca would have the motivation when they go to Dallas just to have his homecoming and have the fans on his side. Very interesting. And I think that the betting lines make it so interesting tonight. I just said earlier today, so that was from where I came from. I think both sides of the coin can be seen here, but I think that Dallas will at least be motivated. They also got blown up by the warriors on Sunday, so it hasn't been A great time for them. That maybe tonight they, for some reason, just end up bringing. Well, the truth is, we don't know until it happens. And that's the beauty of sports. That's why it makes it so exciting to watch and see. You know, for all we know, Dan Byer could be completely right. We come back tomorrow. Like, yo, man, I can't believe that. It would only surprise me because there was only one guy in that whole deal that was called Fat, right? And Covino. When this first happened, you said, oh, my God, if that happened to me, I'd be on the treadmill that night. Dude, I was let go by my previous job. Every time I crack the mic here, I want to remind them that they made a mistake. Every girl that broke up with me, every day, I used that as motivation as, man, wait till I make my millions. I can't wait to post a picture of myself on a yacht and hope they regret it. Yeah, like, in the back of my mind, it's petty motivation. He has that. He has that, so. And that's why you're seeing him so fired up. You're seeing a fired up Luca. You're seeing the Lakers play great defense. All of a sudden, you're seeing them win. They're playing good ball. And that brings us to something else, too, that we haven't had time for in the past few days. Rich, before we do Shaq, Diesel trivia, Wembanyama made a statement about how well he was asked, like, who's the most underrated player in the NBA? By the way, I got a plus 250 bet here. Can I just throw it at you? Sure. Plus 250 bet 100. Win 250. I got Luca 32 points or more. Lakers minus eight and a half in the game, and Lakers win the first half. So Lakers win the first half. Lakers win the game by eight and a half or more by nine. And Luka 32 plus. You like that one? You bet it makes it fun. Yeah, for sure. Let's lock it. I think he's lighted up tonight. But again, what Dan Byers said could very well be a possibility. And that's what makes it fun to watch. So Wembanyama was asked who was the most underrated player in the NBA, and if you missed it, here's what he said about it. Whose game is most underrated in the league? I'm gonna go with. I'm gonna go with LeBron. Underrated just means you're not rated at your right. I think LeBron's on the radio and I had people scratching their heads. But when you think about what he's doing at this age, even though he's very rated and everybody. I don't think there's a sports show in the nation that doesn't bring his name out like, once a show, even though he's very rated. Would you say that's a fair assessment from Wembanyama? Because he's saying, yo, man, I still see some greatness. And that, what a, what a compliment coming from a young man at the top of his game. You could be very rated and still underrated. That. I don't think that's impossible. I think there's NFL players, there's players in baseball, basketball, all sports, where you're like, no, no, they're respected. But I'm telling you, they're not respected even enough. The value he brings to a team, the leadership, you know, you got to factor the criticism that he gets, because he gets a lot of it. I think what Wembanyama said about LeBron speaks volumes. It's like, yo, here's a guy that's so rated, and we know that he's in a goat conversation 150 times a week still when you, when you. But he's still underrated in his opinion. That's amazing. When you look at your own team, I think everyone could draw one name where it's like, I watch this guy day in and day out. He's underrated. Everyone has that guy in their own team. I'm saying on a bigger scale, LeBron James, because there's so many LeBron haters, and people like to kick him down and put him down, and he's not Michael Jordan. He's. He's not the goat. He's not this. He's. He's not even Kobe. He's not even Magic or bird. I think LeBron James. I said to Covino in the hallway yesterday, LeBron James, LeBron James. LeBron James. By the way, that kid's like 40. That kid's 40 now. That's how long LeBron's been dominating that kid. LeBron James, he's married with children. LeBron James. If somehow he's Ed O'Neill. If he wins the NBA title this year with Luca, that would mean two. Two championships with the Lakers, two with the Heat, and he took the Cleveland Cavaliers in the. In the greatest season where the warriors were had, were the best team in NBA history and lost after being up 3:1. That would be five NBA titles for LeBron. I think you would Argue he's over. He's underrated for what he's done for this long. I get what he's saying. I know it sounds crazy, but I totally get what he's saying. When we watch the Olympics last year, what did every superstar in the NBA say, y'all, I don't get to play with LeBron every day. No one practices harder. No one has the work ethic. No one. No one brings to the table what LeBron James brings. It really has the respect of all the players in the league. No one has more respect from their peers than LeBron James. That speaks volumes, dude. LeBron never. You know how they always have those like. And those silent surveys, like, hey, most overrated player, most this, most that. LeBron James will never win. Most overrated. He is respected by his peers. Facts. And that was just an interesting story. That. What was that last week? Or was it. Yeah, it was the end of last week. Right. And we just didn't have time for it. But speaking of the Lakers tonight, I think we're going to see. Why he said that. I think we're going to see a really great game tonight. I think we're going to see what the Lakers got. And, you know, there's so much hype that they could go all the way this year, man. Well, and just like that, you know, like that. They're playing great defense. Like, whoa. You know, one guy who's a little underrated right now because the. The lakers are like 18 and 4 in this past stretch of the season. And so you got to give a lot of credit to JJ Redick. We haven't talked about him at all. And remember saying, I heard. I even heard Stephen A. Smith, who was very critical of him. I might have been wrong. I might have been wrong. Before the season started, Coach of the year. I remember dudes on our own network laughing at that, saying, this is a joke. And look at where they're at now. Where they at the third, fourth seed. They're doing well. They got to keep this up going into the final stretch of the season here. But Austin Reeves, what a tear. What a tear that guy has been on. Tearing it up. And again, it's understated because who. Well, you see what the numbers he's putting up. But I'll go back to the JJ Reddick thing just for one second, though. You're right. The criticism that he got, it is worthy of. You got to take it back or apologize, podcast boy. Exactly. That's insane. And like you said, Reeves just. Yeah, the combination and we saw it in Denver, and hopefully they could keep that formula going. But the big three really have been LeBron, Luca and in Austin, Reeves. So if those three can stay hot, this team can go far. Coach of the year, J.J. redick. So, man, they're firing on all cylinders, as the expression goes, at just the right time. And we're gonna see it on the main stage on a big stage tonight. Just more reason to Enjoy some tacos LeBron style on the Taco Tuesday. You know, it's the coolest part about Austin Reaves. Austin Reaves. His headband, his cool headband, his corny, like, haircut. Well, these are all. I mean, keep going. His unassuming nature, his wristbands. Austin reeves, undrafted in 20, 21 when he broke on the scene. You remember those first couple games, Danny? We were doing a show together early on. This is like the early days of Kavino and Richard on Fox Sports Radio. When he started coming into his own, there was almost a sense of like, all right, is this. Is this, like, for real? Is this like another Alex Caruso type of guy? You know, great white hope kind of guy you root for? Like, is he gonna be like the guy off the bench? And it's like, oh, wow, he's become a key component. He's a. He's a star now. Good team. And defensively, too. He's like, anytime he gets on the fl, he's a spark plug for the team. And what makes him great, Rich, you already said it. Is that he's unassuming. And I think that makes it more fun. That's why I loved Gennady Golovkin, Triple G, because he looked like a nerd who would beat your ass in the ring. You know, when someone's unassuming like that, it just makes it so much cooler. So major props to him. And we're going to see what the Lakers got tonight. Or are we going to see what the Mavs got? Can't wait. The one thing, based on this conversation we just had, I gave up LeBron all these props saying how great he is if he scores 45. And that prevents me from winning my Luca over 30 point best. I'm going to hate LeBron tomorrow. All right, we got more Kavito and Rich coming up. We'll do Shaq Diesel trivia. So if you want in the number 87799 on Fox, we'll give away a Kavito and Rich stainless steel Swiggy, some Fox Sports Radio prizes right here on fsr. They got sweet jackets and I'm a jacket guy. I love those. Like an overshirt, overshirt jacket or that, that Cloud waffle crew. I got that one. Our boss man Scott got that one too. Props. I just saw that video of him pulling up to the game. Thank you, Brian Albertson, for sending it. I can't take away from his stats. He rocked the stats and he rocks the stash. As you know, Keith, one of the more entertaining color commentators in the world of baseball. You know, down in Florida, there's people playing pickleball and there's a woman in like a little tank top and she's got huge paddles. Yeah, paddles. She has huge pickleball paddles. Oh, and Gary Cohen's talking to Keith and he's like, I'm sorry, I'm distracted. What did you say? What? Yeah, Now I gotta see this. Keith Hernandez. Classic Keith. So. All right, let's do this. It's time for Shaq Diesel trivia. Whenever we say not to name drop, that means we're about to name drop. I'll name drop. Oh, my goodness. Not only are C and R friends with Tyson and Mahomes. Which NBA legend average a double double 10 straight seasons double double for a decade? Ken. Kareem. No. Ooh, that would have been my guess. I'm going to try to steal then. Rich. Rich the bird. Yes, that would have been my guess. I thought maybe rebounds and points for Kareem. Kareem averaged around seven boards. The closest to this was Magic Johnson. He was a season or two behind Larry Bird. All right, round two. We move on to round number two so far, Rich on the board. What was I once quoted saying about my basketball dominance? Hey, I'm like, tax, you're gonna pay one way or the other. When I oppose my will, it's like Godzilla walking through a city. Oh, oh. Or see, only Jesus had a bigger shoe size. Rich. Jesus shoe size. No, wrong. Ten. Ten for the steal. A. A. Yes. Oh, nice. Boom. I'm like, tax. There you are. You're gonna pay one way or the other, and you're not gonna like it. Hopefully you pay your taxes. Chuck Death. Taxes and shaxes. I've always said that. What size shoe does Jesus wear? You wore sandals. All right, round three so far on the board, Rich and Ken, as we move to round number three. Air Jesus. Where was the great Steve Nashbourne? Jesus. Steve Nash. Yeah. A, Canada, B, South Africa, or C, Australia? Damn. Buyer. I think it's South Africa. You would think correctly. Yeah, there you go. Three way tie. Buyer on the board. Yes. Johannesburg. Johannesburg. Yes. All right, we go to round four in this three way Time. Speaking of our global game, who is the first. First player born outside the US to be drafted number one overall, A, Michael Thompson, B, Patrick Ewing, or C, Yao Ming Pence. Ken for the win. Patrick Ewing. No. Damn. You know, Spock, what were the options again? Oh, buyer, you want to give Spotty a chance? No. Go for it. No, please. I thought it was Michael Thompson. Yes. Best buyer with the win. Bahamas blazers took him 1978. I already guess he only. Of course, he made his name with the Lakers. Clay's dad. That's right, the Lakers, who are going to win tonight. But again, I don't know if they're going to go all the way. You know why, Danny G. Why is that? No big man. Need a big man. Everybody. Everybody needs a big man. Jackson Hayes has been looking okay lately. Everybody needs a big. You're right, though. They probably could use one. One more big. I'll give you an analogy, Shaq. Does anyone really have a big, great man? Like, in baseball? Everyone's like, our team's rotation stinks. I'm like, does anyone have a great rotation in 2025? You know, so I think they could do it without the big man. Hey, Ken in San Francisco, we appreciate you playing the game. Hey, guys, thanks very much. Hey, thank you. All right, all right. Can I go home now? Way to San Francisco. Go Niners. I got. I gotta go home, watch the game. That is Byers 12th win in SHA. Congratulations, D. Thanks, Shaq. All right, guys. All right, guys. I'll see you guys next week. Speaking of Sam. Hey, Sam, you owe me $20. Later. Sha. Sha. Texas. Speaking of. Dan Meyer with the win. Let's go to DB for an update. What's up, Dan? Don't mean to. Later, Shaq. Death in Shaxx. Hi, Shaq. Oh, sorry, Bush. Wrong button there. That's all right. I just caught up thinking about Shaxx's taxes. Sha. I don't know, Kavino, if you caught this, but Shaq had a restaurant that apparently closed down downtown. Yeah. His chicken franchise closed out by us. And I think they're completely separate. But he has, like, a chicken. Yeah. He has so many. Yeah. He has his hands in a lot of adventures, you know, like Papa John's Pizza. Yeah. Those are disappearing by us, too. But it's good, I'll tell you that. Tuscan cheese. Delicious. Garlic breadsticks from Papa John's Tuscan cheese. Love it. Very, very good. The Tuscan six cheese. It's delicious. Yeah. Recommended. Highly recommended. Colts GM Chris Ballard says there will be an open competition at quarterback next season. That includes Anthony Richardson, who had been their season opening starter the first two years of his career. Chiefs GM Brett Veech says he believes center and Travis Kelsey will be back for the 2025 season, while Falcons GM Terry Fontenot says quarterback Kirk Cousins will remain with the team as the backup to Michael Bennett's junior for the foreseeable future. Brown CM Andrew Barry reiterated the team isn't interested in trading defensive end Miles Garrett. However, the Commanders are allowing defensive lineman Jonathan Allen to seek a trade. Titans GM Mike Borganzi says the team has received offers for the first overall pick, Bill Son wide receiver Khalil Shakir to a four year, $60 million extension. Meetings between the College Football Playoff conference commissioners ended with no final decision on a future format. ACC commissioner Jim Phillips told reporters 12 team, 14 team and 16 team form were discussed in the meeting in Dallas. WNBA star Diana Taurasi told Time magazine she's retiring after 20 years in the league. Three time WNBA champion, all time scoring leader, won six gold medals during her playing career. She played them all with the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA. Diana Taurasi retiring today at the age of 42. Guys, back to you. Thank you, Dan Byer. All right, Kavino and Rich, FOX Sports Radio. Now, before we get out of here, there's still so much to get to. What do you want to. Where do you want to go, pal? Besides to the moon, which by the way, earlier off here, Camino goes, I want to go to in and out. Because when Shaq was talking double, double, I was thinking hamburgers. He owned some five guys, by the way. Five guys. They recently came out with a survey, most expensive fast food burger, Five Guys. By far, number one on the list. I love Five Guys burgers. But you ever go there and it's like two people, it's like 40 bucks. I know it's worth it to splurge on that. Sometimes they think they're doing you a favor by filling your bag with French fries. They're just making you more fat. That's the trick. Yeah. All right, well, hey, more, more. We got more Covino and Rich coming up. We'll talk a little NBA and a story about O'Shea Jackson Jr. We've been putting off for a couple days. We'll get to that next right here, Fox Sports Radio. I'm Mark Seale. And I'm Nathan King. This is Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli. The five families did not want us to shoot that picture. Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli is based on my co host Mark's best selling book of the same title. And on this show we call upon his years of research to help unpack the story behind the Godfather's birth. From start to finish, this is really the first interview I've done in bed. We sift through innumerable accounts. 35 pages isn't very much, many of them conflicting. That's nonsense. There were 60 pages and try to get to the truth of what really happened. And they said we're finished. This is over. It only stopped going to work. You got to get rid of those guys. It's just that Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli features new and archival interviews with Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Evans, James Caan, Talia Shire and many others. Yes, that was a real horse's head. Listen and subscribe to Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Some good gear over there@travismatthe.com quality gear. Before we get to your O'Shea Jackson Jr. Story, he celebrated a birthday yesterday. Ice cubes Kid, actor, musician. Good dude. We've interviewed him a few times. Nice guy. You know, like a year ago or so, we had a conversation about everyone thinks their team's closer stinks. Unless you were Mariano Rivera in the 90s or Trevor Hoffman in his prime. Every fan base is like, our clothes are stinks, Our bullpen's horrible. That's just like a common sentiment, right? Like in football, everyone's always our defense. Unless you're the Ravens defense of the 2000s or the Steel Curtain in the 70s or, you know, everyone loves to complain about the same things. I think the version of that now is starting rotation. Unless you're the Dodgers, who have like eight pitchers. The Yankees have a pretty decent starting rotation, too, but there's injuries. Do you know? Yeah, Giancarlo Stanton's got to stop playing tennis. How much tennis does this guy play with his tennis elbows? Yankees lineup not looking that good. They're pitching better. Be good. But, like, I have met fan friends like, Maniah's on the IL already. Same with, you know, Frankie Montas. And listen, guys are banged up already, but don't you feel like that's the new. You know why? Because pitchers today are made of glass. But do you agree, though, that is going down all the time? So you could have some big names in your starting rotation, but health is wealth. But do you know what I'm saying, though? Like, remember back in the day, you'd be able to say, I can name one ace from each team almost. And if you had like two or three guys, I feel like you look around baseball and I don't know if it's because these guys go five and the bullpen, there's more emphasis on that. I look around baseball and I'm a pretty big baseball fan. In fact, I think ESPN blew it. I think that's the weak story, letting baseball go. I heard Colin talking about that. What a. What a ball drop. Literally. I mean, I don't know if you guys heard, but after the 2025 season, ESPN and baseball no longer have a partnership. You're not going to be seeing baseball covered on espn. And a lot of us listening, we grew up watching baseball tonight and Sunday night baseball, and you're not going to see that anymore. It's ridiculous. Especially when baseball's on its come up the past few years, it's major ball dropped like Aaron Judge in the World Series. The ball drop is judge level because baseball's had a great two to three year pocket here and I feel like there's a lot of buzz going into the season. But with the off season last year especially, yeah, you got big stars on big teams. Now is when you would think a network would be leaning into baseball. Well, someone's going to benefit greatly based on ESPN's failure. Do you agree though that there is a sense of, yeah, no one's really got that. Greatest starters. Do you feel from the Dodgers? I feel like the Yankees starting five, believe it or not. Plus they got Stroman like lingering around somewhere. I feel like the Yankees actually have a pretty decent starting law. Starting five, not bad. No one has it. So if you're looking at your team, you're like, who's our four and five guys? To who are these guys? As they said in major league, who are these effing guys? I feel like everyone feels that way because starting pitching is just not what it once was. Where you can name all five starters, you are guaranteed they're all going to go 25 to 30 starts a year. That's just not baseball anymore. The Dodgers won the World Series with a few bullpen games in the playoffs. Baseball pitching is just set up differently now. So when you're looking at your team's roster and you're like, I don't know how things are looking. Don't be, don't be discouraged if your team starting pitching doesn't look. Everybody's for the most part looking a little shaky, little suspect. So quick search says MLB power rankings going into this new season for top rotations. Braves, Diamondbacks, Red Sox, Rangers, Tigers, Pirates, Dodgers. Wow. Yankees aren't even in there. Right Underneath. Yeah. Ranking, making moves. And they got Chapman in the bullpen. Yeah, you're right. They're right under the Dodgers here. Wow. So obviously we're excited about baseball. Espn, not so excited about baseball. Listen to the Yankees projected starting five. And this is a team that's projected to win 90 something games. Right? This, the Yankees are the American League. Remember, you have to preface each guy as bearded Garrett Cole. Okay, Bearded Rodone. But, but when I say Cavino. This is a team that's projected to in 90 to 100 games. The Yankees are of the elite of the AL going into the season. Correct. AL defending champions lost in the World Series. Garrett Cole. I'm sorry, Garrett Cole. Bearded, well groomed Garrett Cole. Coming off an entry But I think he's great. Max Freed from Santa Monica, California. Yeah. Scruffy Carlos Rodon. Yeah. And that guy was in the fours. He said he's definitely growing the beard. So he's, you know, bringing some intimidation factor with him. And then after you get past call Freed and Radon, I don't think the average baseball fan knows who Luis Gill or Clark Schmidt are. Luis Hill was an all star last year. Yeah. But Luis, rookie of the year. Right. To expect, you know, big numbers from that guy in the four hole, in the four spot. Highly touted though, so he's king of the heel. So just. Just a deep thought I had because. Yeah, the deeper point here is if you're worried about your starting five, everyone is. It feels like everybody. Yeah. As a Mets fan, and I'm all pumped. You know, Soto and Lindor and, you know, Pete Alonzo and Nimo and Vientos. The lineup stacked. I'm like, all right, so we got Senga. Who else? Mania is on the Il Peterson. We're. Clay Holmes from the Yankees is now a starter on my team. What's going on here? Everyone feels that way at the end. And by the way, how do you feel about Clay Holmes as a starter crosstown on the Mets? I mean, he wasn't doing it as a reliever, so interesting, you know, decision. All right, let's get to this O'Shea Jackson Jr. Story. Yeah. Real quick. Right quick. It's a two part doozy because O'Shea Jackson turned 34 yesterday. We ran out of time yesterday. So happy birthday to him and the Rock. His little French bulldog passed away. So it's a. It's a relevant story on two parts. Happy birthday, O'Shea Jackson and our condolences to the Rock. This is about being starstruck. Take a listen. This is ice Cube son, O'Shea Jackson Jr. On being starstruck. I'm in sixth grade. Work around the school. Spreads like wildfire. Shay, your dad's here. So I'm thinking, what did I do? Picking me up from school is grandma business. My dad's not doing this too. So I'm like, I'm flying. I can't think of what I did. So when I get outside, he's outside in the nice car. Now we got family vehicles, four doors. But he's here in the two door. So this is the nice car again. The car he drives all the way to Venice. Sit down at this restaurant. We're at a table that's bigger than it should be for two people. In walks my Hero, the Rock. Jesus. And he just sits next to me. And him and my dad have a meeting over lunch. And I am starstruck beyond belief. I can't get any words to come out of my mouth as a kid. The memories I have from it is, I got a cheeseburger, he got a cheeseburger. I got a root beer, he got a Diet Coke. Thought that was weird. Wasn't really feeling that. Wanted caffeine, but he didn't want the sugar. My dad was like, dude, talk to him. Whose do you want him to kick? And I'm just like, I can't talk. He signed my shirt, took a picture, he paid for his meal, lady came back for the change. He didn't take the change, just walked in, out, and I took his quarter and put it in my pocket and I put it in a sandwich bag and I still have it. You still got the quarter? Damn right. Where's the quarter at? I give it to my mom. She has it in her safe. The lucky quarter. Yeah, dude. Rock's quarter, bro. How old were you? 12. Oh, so you're in the heat of loving wrestling, dude. Yeah. This is amazing. I went to the Scorpion King premiere. That's. That's a Rock fan. That's a Rock fan. Yeah. I went to see the Mummy Returns twice. He's in the movie for five minutes. This was my dude bro. So how cool is that? Like, those are the celebrity perks that you dream of having lunch with his dad and the Rock. But the point here is he was so starstruck, he couldn't think of anything to say to the dude. And he still has that quarter, which is great because deep down inside we're all a little 12 year old kid who remembers how we felt about our heroes. Seriously, that, you know, we all had heroes at 12 years old. That was his. When you, if you ever get the opportunity to meet someone that you would consider a hero, it really is. It is an awkward moment. I. One story comes to mind for me. The first super bowl that I ever went to cover was in Jacksonville, Florida, and I was in my 20s and across the room. This is before Covino and I were interviewing, I guess, athletes on the regular. This is like when we were sort of new to the athlete world. First coverage of the Super Bowl. So this was big. Yeah. So they're like, yeah, you're going to have the opportunity to interview some legends. I see across the room, Joe Montana, and to know me. I'm a die hard 49ers fan and Joe Montana is the reason I wore 16 when I played sports. That's why my daughter wear 16, because she knows that's my favorite number. Like, I play Red 16. Denny, every time we go to Vegas, right? It's my thing. Yep. Montana is my. As O'Shea said, this is my guy. I was like, what am I going to say when I finally meet Joe Montana? Would you believe the best I could come up with was, hey, Joe, I had your pajamas when I was a kid. I couldn't believe you said it. And you know what he said to him? He goes, I hope you don't still wear them, because Richard's a grown man. He had a snappy comeback. We've met him a couple times since, but I remember always thinking back like, I wasn't a kid. I was 25, maybe. Yeah, because he'll always be your hero. So who was that for you? And who would you be starstruck to meet for me? That was Don Mattingly. And I'll tell you a story on another day. Let's just say I got caught right next to him in traffic one time and I lost it. All right, have a great night. We'll see you tomorrow. Until then. Arriba there, Chibi. See you in the promised land.
