Rich Davis
You know, I wanted to bring up one thing you talked about, those pharmacy toys that, you know, we all Got as kids color forms. The Easter Bunny brings a little, you know, as you said, the pharmacy type of toys.
Steve Covino
Yeah, the Willy Willy. Do you remember the Woolly Willy?
Rich Davis
Who doesn't? That's the guy. You can make a mustache on him, right?
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Sounds like the mag, the magnet stuff.
Steve Covino
Yeah, it's not.
Rich Davis
So I wanted to get my kids some baseball cards and I told them, I said, hey, listen, Easter Bunny's gonna bring you other stuff, but dad wants to bring you to the baseball card shop.
Steve Covino
Nice.
Rich Davis
And let me tell you something. Not as easy to find baseball cards as when we were kids. I know we went to the baseball card shop, but you almost got to seek a place out because Walmart no longer carries baseball cards. Target, much like Pokemon cards, if you got a little kid, always hobby shacks. So there's always going to be the local baseball card shop. And you hope they're open. You hope they got what you want. But I was, I was stunned at how much cards are nowadays. It is.
Steve Covino
There's a lot of special cards out there.
Rich Davis
No, I'm talking regular tops.
Danny G
Oh, it's a big business.
Rich Davis
20, 25.
Steve Covino
Is it bad to, to. What's the politically correct term to take a card back that you gave to somebody? I don't know the politically. I don't know the politically correct term for that.
Rich Davis
I'm riding the dump button, so be careful.
Steve Covino
No, no, no. But my. This weekend, this Easter weekend, my sister said, remember those stacks of cards you gave to Jamesy? I was like, yeah. She's like, you know, there was an autograph Shohei Ohtani in there.
Rich Davis
I was like, what?
Steve Covino
I was like, I'm sorry, can I have it back please?
Rich Davis
You giver of things that you want back.
Steve Covino
Like, can I get that back?
Dan Beyer
As close to re gifting was the close that I could. I don't know if that's exactly what.
Rich Davis
It is, but I, Denny J, Dan Beyer, Cavino, you guys all, as we kids, we talk about baseball cards as kids, right? I'm not trying to sound like when.
Steve Covino
I was your little boy.
Rich Davis
I try to sound like the old timey time guy, but I feel like there was a point where Stadium Club and Upper Deck, there were a couple dollars a pack. And I remember my grandfather, you get.
Steve Covino
Him at the 7:11 or the quick check or the local bod. Vega always had him on standby. A couple bucks, your dad would be buying some cigarettes of coffee and some scratch offs and he'd throw in a pack of cards for you.
Dan Beyer
Did you get a hobby pack Or a blaster pack or. I'm telling you, it's ridiculous.
Rich Davis
I go there and these are not the, you know, Dan Patrick Panini collectible ones he does reads for. I'm talking like, I was just like, let me just get some. I was really trying to find like the cheapest cards because my kids are.
Steve Covino
Not gonna like take the basket, right?
Rich Davis
They're not gonna take care of them. And I said, I'll throw these in here with the Easter Bunny stuff because I want you guys to have some baseball cards. And these are the most basic, tops, 20, 25. No, you know, no shiny, no inserts, none of that stuff. Basic cards. Aaron Judge is on the COVID A super pack, which is still 40 cards. So don't get me wrong, it's like a thick ass pack.
Steve Covino
You know, you can get them. Surprisingly, car wash sells them.
Rich Davis
Car wash?
Steve Covino
Yeah, they have them there once in a while. Maybe I should buy some since they're.
Rich Davis
So hard to find.40 card. So it's a big ass pack of cards. Would you believe it was 30 bucks?
Steve Covino
That's insane. No, I don't believe that. 30 bucks.
Rich Davis
And then I looked at. Well, maybe I look online.
Steve Covino
That's a lap dance and a half worth of cards they have. Wait, hold on. How much is the lap dance nowadays?
Rich Davis
25 last. No way.
Steve Covino
Really?
Rich Davis
I didn't know 5 bucks goes to.
Steve Covino
Show you what a good guy I am.
Rich Davis
But point is, the kids still get fascinated by it. But it's not a cheap thing. 30 bucks are a big value pack of Topps cards.
Steve Covino
Tough times for the Easter Bunny.
Rich Davis
And it was.
Steve Covino
What happened to Silly Putty?
Rich Davis
Guess. My son the other day I was telling you who. Let's see if you pay attention to my stories. Who do my son say his two favorite players are?
Steve Covino
He said Lindor.
Spot
Yeah, Ohtani and Ohtani.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
In his mega pack, he pulled the Lindor and Ohtani.
Steve Covino
No way.
Rich Davis
And I almost want to be like, buddy, that's like, you got lucky, pal.
Steve Covino
It doesn't always happen.
Rich Davis
I was like. So he got usually get a bunch.
Steve Covino
Of Johnny Grubs and Don Assies.
Rich Davis
Oh, man, another Jeff Musselman.
Dan Beyer
You know what they do in some companies, and I'm not sure exactly which ones is now, they'll put old players in, like guys who had already played. So when you and I were growing up, we'd be like, oh, look, I got Dwight Stevenson center, right? You know, from the Miami Dolphins. There's no lineman in any of these anymore. Like it's been replaced by like thurman Thomas, you know, Oh, I got a Troy Aikman card in this pack. 20, 25, whatever. It's completely different game.
Steve Covino
They're switching it up, man. But there's definitely a huge. A growing buzz again around all these cards, for sure.
Rich Davis
And just for all the parents whose kids are into. I roll my eyes at it, but hey, my son loves it. Pokemon Pokemon cards are like five to ten dollars minimum per little pack. Like, it's a market, man.
Steve Covino
You know what? Let me promote our bonus pod then, Rich Over Promised, because we talked about the greatest athletes of all time, but we also talked about the greatest polls in baseball cards, basketball cards especially. We talked about it on Over Promised, our bonus podcast, fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, episode 88. And this week, I think KFC from Barstool stopping by the show. So that's on fox Sports Radio's YouTube page because we always run out of time on this show. So over promise. Check it out.
Rich Davis
Did you happen to see that clip? Dan Buyer of Big Cat from Barstool?
Steve Covino
It's insane. That is such a cool clip. It really is. Of.
Dan Beyer
Of doing what?
Rich Davis
So Big Cat who. You know. Pardon. Yeah, part of my take on Barstool, he's doing a. He bought a pack of. He's doing a basketball fleer from like 80. What is.
Dan Beyer
Okay.
Rich Davis
Yeah, the Jordan Rookie one. Sure.
Dan Beyer
Yes.
Rich Davis
And I think he spent like, you know, those packs go for like 800 a pack.
Dan Beyer
Yes.
Rich Davis
Wouldn't you believe it? Second card, they're slowly opening. He pulls a Jordan Rookie. Yeah, a Jordan Rookie, which could. It could be hundreds of thousands of dollars based on the rating.
Dan Beyer
Yes.
Rich Davis
So a big payoff. But it was pretty cool. Like, just watching the. On the unopening of that pack gave me anxiety.
Steve Covino
Speaking of cards, back in the day, which was a Tuesday, I do remember collecting wrestling cards. They were grimy. They were old school wrestling cards. And it's crazy to see how much it's grown. This weekend we saw WrestleMania and the Big story is John Cena's back. John Cena's the man.
Rich Davis
Not only is John Cena back, not just him. Seems like some of his hair is back.
Steve Covino
That's the story.
Rich Davis
Take a listen to Cena. He was on the Pat McAfee show this morning post WrestleMania.
Ryan McBain
That's the thing. When you get it, like, so you get the deal, right, and your hair falls out because the new ones have to grow, so the old one falls out. So like in January, February was like, I had it in November. That's when I came like half a skin head up here, you guys. Oh, by the way, thank you for being so aware of my needs and emotions because you guys ripped me to shreds for a genetic problem that I can't control. Hey, dude, you don't look good enough out there. Like, that's what I'm saying. This isn't cool. You guys aren't cool to me.
Rich Davis
John Cena talk about how he was bullied into fixing his hair.
Steve Covino
Well, he was going bald. It wasn't a good look. It wasn't working for him. Right. And as Scott Van Pelt always says, yeah, just take it home. Take it home. At that point, I don't know if it was take it home worthy, but it was noticeable, right? He had a noticeable bald spot. Couldn't help but notice it wasn't receding.
Rich Davis
He actually had, like, the circle on top of it.
Steve Covino
I do think we as men have to be more accepting of these things and, and just sort of lean into it. Like, we worked with a guy that wore a hat for like two months straight, and everyone was talking about him behind his back because everybody knew, like, and once he took the hat off, he had a full on pompadour. Right. So I think we need to just be more understanding of that and make it more acceptable because it's becoming more and more common. People are doing all these trips to Turkey, these all inclusive trips, coming back with full heads of hair. You know, women are doing things all the time. Hey, we gotta be okay with dudes fixing their hair.
Rich Davis
I was gonna say women. Women do these type of things all the time. And they talk about it with each other and publicly. Some girl will be on TikTok being like, I'm going for my Botox and filler in my, in my ass tuck.
Steve Covino
And whatever guy doing something with his hair, he crucified.
Rich Davis
Yeah. A guy has to be all guys. Guy has to hide it under a.
Steve Covino
Hat for, you know, the rest of his life.
Rich Davis
A guy fixing his hairline has the secrecy of a girl getting a boob job in the 80s.
Steve Covino
We have to be like, you go queen. We have to do that. You go, Cena. Way to go, buddy. Because. And you know, I want to do that because it might be me one day. And I don't want to hear flack from anybody.
Rich Davis
I'm fascinated by when women do things to improve their looks. It's encouraged and they cheer each other on.
Steve Covino
Yes. Bam, ba boom.
Rich Davis
I applaud John Cena because I saw John Cena come back and he had his floppy almost like, his 1990s mushroom haircut. I'm like, yo, he's got a big bald spot. It looks terrible. And so he's part of the problem. But I didn't say it out loud, but I. I noticed it. And I thought to myself, here's John Cena, movie star, wrestler champion.
Steve Covino
He said it, man. It's genetics. And that's why LeBron can't do anything about it. It's just, you know, in his DNA at this point. And I'm sure he's tried, and we've seen it appear and reappear and disappear and all that, but he was sort of bullied into it. So think about this, FOX Sports Radio Nation, because I have an answer. We all have an answer. We'll go around the room. Let's chop it up. The times you were bullied into doing something, but it was for your own benefit, for your greater good. I was bullied, and I held out so long, I was ruining the group text messages for so long because I had an Android.
Rich Davis
Oh, you did.
Steve Covino
I had an Android, so.
Danny G
Ooh.
Rich Davis
Oh, so you're that guy.
Steve Covino
I hate people like that. Here's what happened then. You know, I was going on dates, and then I was realizing, this is when I was single. I just got out of a divorce, and the women I was dating, they're like, he has an Android. So I was getting looked down upon. And then I met a girl, a girl that I'm currently with till this day. She's like, if you're gonna date me, you gotta get rid of that Android. I'm like, wow, this is serious, huh? This is a real thing. And between her and all my buddies and Rich, and I'm ruining the group messages and all that stuff because my texts were green. It was a. It was an issue, I guess I got bullied into finally getting an iPhone. And I have to say, you know, I like it. I guess I'm more accepted. It works. It didn't change my life, but at least I got you off my back. So I'm a fan, but I wasn't really against the Android. But, Rich, I was totally bullied into that by you guys and my current girlfriend.
Rich Davis
What were you bullied into doing that benefited you?
Steve Covino
Yeah, I guess. I guess you could say it benefited me in the sense that people don't look down on me anymore because of the Android.
Rich Davis
It could be a show, it could be a movie. It could be something you do. I feel like. I feel like I was sort of shamed into trying sushi for the first time.
Steve Covino
How about we shamed you into getting a fade. This guy had a haircut like he was Mel Gibson up until.
Rich Davis
Have a Mel Gibson haircut.
Steve Covino
Did we not, like, bully him into getting a fade?
Spot
Yeah, he had, like, George Washington, like, side. This guy had old wig.
Steve Covino
Yeah. He had, like, mad dog, like, cocker spaniel ear flaps.
Spot
Yeah.
Steve Covino
You know, like, where the hair went over his ears. He had side poofs. And we were like, dude, just. Can you please get, like, a normal buzz cut from a barber? He would sit under those. Those moon things that they. The old ladies sit under the salon.
Spot
This is all like a hair net.
Steve Covino
Yeah. Rich would do that at the salon all the time. And now, ironically, Rich, he used Aquanet. Like, a longer hairdo is coming. Is back now. So you might have to grow your hair back. But for the longest time, like, dude.
Rich Davis
Will you just get a fade?
Steve Covino
You had old guy hairdo.
Rich Davis
It was the right move. But you act like, I just had longer hair on the sides. I used to have a woman cut when it was not with style, with scissors.
Steve Covino
Now it's now a longer hairstyle is probably in style. You should probably go back. But for the longest time, he had never gone to a barber. Never up until maybe five, six years ago, had never gone to a barber. And we bullied him into it.
Rich Davis
You got it. You got to accept it sometimes. Sometimes your friends or family might bully you into something, and at first you might be like, I want to know. And then you're like, you know what? Thanks for doing that, because I'm better off for it.
Steve Covino
I mean, I hear this a lot when it comes to nose jobs and things like that. Like, certain people, like, they don't want to, but then they're haggled and harassed so much, and it turns out to be the greatest thing they ever did. Now, I'm not condoning or promoting that. I'm saying certain things might work to your advantage, and you put it off for so long. How about Spot with the gym? If you ask Spot, we. We bullied him in the early 2000s all the time. And he has all this crazy resentment about how we bullied him, but we would say he was paying for a gym membership and never went. Now this guy thinks he's an Adonis flexing all the time because we bullied him to go into the gym. If anything, we should get a little credit.
Rich Davis
That's what I'm saying.
Steve Covino
I know. Now he's Mr. Ripple Pecs.
Spot
I give you zero credit.
Steve Covino
I know, but, dude, how much how often do we tell him?
Spot
You would just mock me. We would go for not going to.
Steve Covino
The gym with us. Come to the gym.
Spot
We never went to that gym.
Steve Covino
We didn't tell him to go to all the time, and he never went to the gym.
Spot
He never came with me.
Steve Covino
I didn't know what to do. Now he's a gym rat.
Spot
Now I know what to do.
Steve Covino
Now he's a gym rat. But.
Rich Davis
Allah. John Cena. Just something to keep in mind. You might assume all bullying is bad. John Cena talked about it on McAfee today. Not all bullying's bad because sometimes.
Steve Covino
Sometimes it's just solid encouragement.
Rich Davis
Yeah. Enough people say something to you, you know, might better.
Spot
You know, it's all in the presentation.
Steve Covino
Might change the better it really is. Because if you like John Cena, we could all say he's, dude, I love John Cena. I think it's a solid move for him. He has a lot of tread on the tires still, as they say. So for him to rock that bald spot in a spotlight like that, where he's supposed to be the cool guy in the ring, I don't think it matched his vibe, don't you think? I think it was a good move for him.
Rich Davis
I think John Cena, unless he shaved.
Steve Covino
His head completely, I think it was.
Rich Davis
The right move for sure. So Cena, the big star. The big star.
Spot
That was John Cena. I thought that was Ernest from He does P Worl.
Steve Covino
I thought Ernest Pete Worrell was on steroids.
Spot
So Ernest saves WrestleMania. No, that wasn't it.
Steve Covino
No, that wasn't it. Your phone calls. You were bullied into something, but it was the solid move.
Rich Davis
Joe, in Virginia, we'll start with you a la John Cena. Have you ever been bullied into something and you're like, you know what? I'm sort of glad. I'm sort of glad I was. What's up, man?
Caller Joe
Hey, guys. Not necessarily bullied into too much, but my old man talked me into a pedicure one time when I was totally against it. And I'll tell you what, when you're done as a guy getting your first pedicure, you're gonna be so happy with the softest feet, the best feeling calves you've had. You won't knock them anymore.
Steve Covino
Oh, is that why they call you soft foot Joe?
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Steve Covino
Thank you, buddy Joe sfj, everybody.
Rich Davis
That's a great example, because I have had. I've gotten pedicures with my wife and ex girlfriends, and there are guys like a pedicure.
Steve Covino
I would Never.
Rich Davis
And I'm like, oh, if you only.
Steve Covino
Now Rich's wife gets pedicures with Rich. Yeah, now he makes the appointments. But again, it works to your advantage. I'm sure it's a life changer. You know, these guys bully me every time we're out to dinner. They bully me into trying something new, some sort of seafood thing that I, I'm sure I've had before, but I don't want it. But they just won't stop until I try it. Every once in a while you'll come across something like, you know what? I think I like it. So sometimes it could work to your advantage.
Rich Davis
Something to keep in mind. All right. Hey, Coming up, we are going to play a little NFL draft trivia. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Three sleeps, as my kids would say. Three sleeps until the NFL draft.
Steve Covino
Yeah, but all the superstars aren't going this year. Is it cool to not go?
Rich Davis
Well, the other question is, are we going to find an Aaron Rodgers update before then in the next 72 hours? Does Aaron Rodgers make any life decision? I mean, we were so certain like a week ago. So certain.
Steve Covino
Maybe we could bully him into making the decision.
Rich Davis
We'll take your feedback and if you want to play this game, let's do it. 87799 on Fox. We got more Covino and Rich next.

Steve Covino
It's a good looking bottle, man. We're going to play it.
Rich Davis
It's heavy duty.
Steve Covino
It's sapphire, midnight black. It says Covino and Rich, Fox Sports Radio. It says on it, it's a water bottle for your kid to lose. And you know it's multiple choice. It's NFL draft trivia. But multiple choice like Rich, what kind of jeans, what kind of jean shorts was Brett Favre wearing when he was drafted? Were they A, Lee's, B, Levi's, C Wrangler or D, Jordach?
Rich Davis
Oh, I'm gonna go C Wrangler.
Steve Covino
C Wranglers. Correct.
Danny G
Wow.
Steve Covino
He was wearing Wrangler jeans. Okay. Actually, I made that up.
Rich Davis
Speaking of which. But I assume, I assume what jean shorts was John Cena wearing last night?
Steve Covino
Oh, I don't know. J.
Rich Davis
Man, you want in on this.
Steve Covino
So it's all multiple choice, it's all fun. But it's going to get you hyped for the NFL draft trivia. I mean, NFL draft this weekend, this week. And we'll give away a prize in return. How's that? I think 877-99-FOX.
Rich Davis
I think the NFL draft going to be a lot of fun. And we talked about it within the last week, after WrestleMania last night, NFL drafted this week. And every weekend I know you're watching some type of ufc. I was trying to think, is there a fourth? And I can't think of a fourth. I've, I think I'm setting in stone the top three things that have come the furthest in our lifetime. NFL draft.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
UFC and WrestleMania.
Steve Covino
As far as evolution, as far as.
Rich Davis
Evolution, man, it's unbelievable. And if you want to get Hyped up.
Steve Covino
Hold on. Ufc.
Rich Davis
NFL Draft.
Steve Covino
NFL Draft. NFL Draft's definitely one of them. When you think of how it was. Really nothing. I was gonna say nothing to something Foo Fighter style.
Rich Davis
If you want to. If you have one, a little homework assignment and you want to watch something fun as we get ready for the NFL draft. From Elway to Marino is a really great 30 for 30. And it's a reminder that it was 40, 40ish years ago. There was a bunch of dudes smoking cigars with.
Steve Covino
Now, all three things you described are.
Rich Davis
Spectacles with tan phones in a wooden paneled room making their picks.
Steve Covino
All right, well, you could add to the list at Covino and Rich, but now it's time to play NFL Draft Trivia.
Danny G
All right, here we go. NFL Draft Trivia. We are kicking off draft week by testing your knowledge. We're going to meet the contestants right now. Yeah. Turn that music up for me. Big Ryan, the man who was once mistaken for Tommy DeVito at the Newark airport. Steve Covino.
Steve Covino
That's me. What's up?
Rich Davis
Stevie Cutlets.
Spot
Stevie Cutlit.
Steve Covino
Steve Cutlets, man. Stevie Pork Chops.
Danny G
And the man who once drank six glasses of wine out of 49ers home game.
Caller Damon
Rich Davis, it's likely.
Spot
And spilled soup on his lap.
Rich Davis
I did. I did spill soup on my lap.
Steve Covino
And I did see Tommy Cutlitz at the airport. That's the story.
Danny G
And there's no picture proof.
Steve Covino
No.
Danny G
And right over there, the man who first suggested that Travis Hunter play on both sides of the ball. Spotty Boy.
Spot
That's true. You told him that years ago in high school.
Danny G
And to my right, right beyond the glass there, the man who was once grounded as a kid for shaving the sides of his head to style a Brian Bosworth Spike. Dan Byer.
Dan Beyer
I did want the Boz haircut. No one knew what I was talking about, but I did want that.
Rich Davis
Hold on, camino. In the 90s, did any of your friends want to be like Anthony Mason or any of Nicks with the. The hair?
Steve Covino
Are you serious? Of course.
Danny G
Oh, yeah, they carved. Carved in words and everything. That was dope.
Rich Davis
I had one friend that, like, followed that lead, and his. His parents were okay with it. I'm like, man.
Danny G
Oh, Anthony Mason. Rip. All right, let's go to the studio lines right now to see who's playing for a stainless steel Swiggy Damon in Montana. What up, Dame?
Steve Covino
What up?
Danny G
What do you do for a living there in Montana?
Steve Covino
I work for a drywall supply company.
Danny G
Cool. Drywalls help building America.
Steve Covino
Thank you, man.
Danny G
Here are the rules for NFL draft trivia. The first contestant with two correct answers is the champ. If there's a tie, we have a tiebreaker question. Your name is your buzzer, but like always, you do have to wait until all three possible answers are read. If there's two wrong answers in a row, we move on to the next question. Are you ready?
Steve Covino
I'm ready.
Danny G
Let's get it on. Here we go. Round one. What year was the very first NFL draft held? A, 1924. B, 1936, or C, 1942.
Rich Davis
Damon.
Danny G
Damon.
Steve Covino
I'm gonna say B.
Danny G
B, 1936 is correct.
Steve Covino
Hey, good pull, man.
Danny G
Damon on the board right away. I'm sorry, D.B.
Dan Beyer
I was just gonna say, I don't think during wartime.
Spot
The height of World War II.
Dan Beyer
Let's have a draft.
Spot
Wrong kind of draft.
Danny G
Yeah, right. Well, drafts were going on that year. All right. Yeah. February 8th, 1936. Dame, you are halfway to a Swiggy.
Rich Davis
I was drafted by the Bears. No. I'm going to Germany.
Danny G
We move to round two. Damon on the board so far. Round two. What was Tom Brady once quoted saying about the NFL draft? A, I spent the draft actually helping my dad redo his backyard. Didn't even check my phone much. B, people didn't think I'd play one year in the NFL. Or C, it wasn't a chip on my shoulder. It was a bus.
Rich Davis
Ooh, Rich.
Danny G
Rich.
Rich Davis
I feel like A, I feel like he was hanging out with his dad during the draft, right?
Danny G
No.
Dan Beyer
Spot.
Danny G
Spotty for the steal. B. Yes.
Steve Covino
Wow.
Danny G
People did not think I'd play one year in the NFL.
Spot
We all know that. Combine photo.
Rich Davis
Sexy Tom Brady.
Steve Covino
Sexy Tom Brady.
Dan Beyer
It's a guy combine.
Rich Davis
I think he got bullied into looking better.
Danny G
So, so far, Damon and Spot on the board.
Dan Beyer
I don't know what you guys, but I thought C was going to be like, I can't wait to get to the NFL and screw over the Raiders in a playoff.
Steve Covino
Danny, mix it up.
Rich Davis
Watch your mouth.
Danny G
Round three. Here we go. Which NFL team traded up to draft Ricky Williams In 1999? A, the Miami Dolphins, B, the Baltimore Ravens, or C, the New Orleans Saints? Steve Covino got in here.
Steve Covino
The trick question is it A. Oh.
Danny G
Maybe it tricked you.
Steve Covino
Not tricked me.
Danny G
Not the Dolphins.
Rich Davis
Rich, go ahead.
Steve Covino
Dan, you go.
Dan Beyer
Saints.
Danny G
Saints, yes. Remember, they. They basically gave away their entire.
Rich Davis
Everything.
Danny G
Yeah. Move up there. All right, so, Damon. Spot.
Steve Covino
But maybe I misunderstood the question.
Danny G
Well, I could see Covino. I. I think I'm awesome. Well, I Know, when I picture him running the ball, I picture him in a Dolphins jersey. All right, round four. Which team is responsible for the first NFL draft? A, the Chicago Bears. B, the Philadelphia Eagles or C, the Cleveland Browns?
Caller Damon
Damon.
Danny G
Damon for the win. B, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Steve Covino
You are right. And you win A. Swiggy earned it.
Danny G
It was an idea from Burt Bell, who owned the Eagles at the time.
Steve Covino
Nice.
Danny G
He wanted to even the playing field with the teams buying players who had money.
Steve Covino
All right. Hey, way to go, David.
Spot
Way to have her at home. Yeah, like that drywall.
Danny G
Damon, we are gonna mail a beautiful CNR Swiggy to you there in Montana.
Steve Covino
You know what else he needs when he's doing that drywall and he's working hard? He needs some koozies. Yeah, keep his hands.
Danny G
Throw some of those in the package.
Steve Covino
Yeah, throw some koozies in there.
Rich Davis
Have a night, Damon.
Steve Covino
Thank you, Damon. And again, that's to get you hyped up for the NFL draft this week. NFL draft trivia brought to you by.
Danny G
Danny G. And tomorrow on the Dan Patrick show, guess who's going to be joining us?
Rich Davis
Who's that?
Danny G
Think of Tuesday's NBA playoffs. Shaq flying in on his private plane.
Steve Covino
Shaq Diesel, trivia king with his sweet yellow glasses that he's rocking. Love those.
Rich Davis
Let's go to Dan Beyer for an update. Db, what's going on, man?
Steve Covino
What up, db?
Dan Beyer
And while you guys are on in the mornings, it'll be Monsey Belanos and myself tomorrow afternoon in your stead here on Fox Sports Radio.
Steve Covino
I like it.
Dan Beyer
Yes, we are looking forward to it as well. Going to have a good time. We're going to have a much better time than Nico Harrison has had over the last few months after trading Luka Doncic. It's been anything but good. The Mavericks GM today speaking with reporters. And this. This exchange happened during that end of season press conference.
Rich Davis
Why shouldn't you be fired?
I
One, I think I've done a really good job here and I don't think I can be judged by the injuries this year. You have to judge from totality from beginning to end. And so I think I have a really good working relationship with Patrick. I think you add in, Rick, the leadership that we have is really elite. And you'll see next year when our team comes back. We're going to be competing for a.
Dan Beyer
Championship next year for Nico Harrison of the Mavericks is his message. Next year is when Cooper Flag's going to be in the NBA. That's because the Duke freshman and consensus player of the year in college basketball entered the 2025 NBA Draft. Guys, back to you.
Rich Davis
Thank you, DB.
Steve Covino
Thank you, Dan.
Rich Davis
As you talk about Nico Harrison, let me ask you guys, what does Nico Harrison have in common with Katy Perry?
Steve Covino
They didn't foresee the backlash.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Danny G
I thought you were going to say he's not a real astronaut.
Steve Covino
I was going to say they both have great boobs, but I wasn't positive.
Rich Davis
No, that's good guess.
Steve Covino
Yeah. I'm glad I was right though. Yeah. Because you know what, back to the astronaut story. I know they're not astronauts.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Steve Covino
But it's amazing to me that it didn't dawn on them that they might get it. This amount of backlash, it never even dawned on.
Rich Davis
Well, I think, you know what, you saw William Shatner do a similar thing a couple years before, but you know.
Steve Covino
He was Captain Kirk, space related, come back acting like he accomplished something either. I think that was the, the vibe or misconception, however you want to put it.
Rich Davis
Didn't Chad there do the whole like, it was the most beautiful thing I've seen. He did.
Steve Covino
Yeah, he did. He didn't get the backlash that they got. But again, it was how it was presented.
Rich Davis
And when Katy Perry said, yes, I'll be the pop culture person that goes to, you know, into space, she never thought the world would be like.
Steve Covino
No. Or else they would have second guessed it.
Rich Davis
Yeah. Nico Harrison, he got on the phone with Jeannie Buss and management with the intention of, like, the fans are going to like this.
Steve Covino
It's unbelievable. You got to have the foresight, the John Forsyth, the 2020. You gotta have the vision to know that there's a other side, a flip side to your potential moves. What are the repercussions?
Rich Davis
I'll give you a way dumbed down version of this. There are times in life, sports, entertainment, your marriage, your friendships, your work, where you just. You don't see it coming. Like, you. You've even thought it out in your head, like, all right, I'm going to make this move. You're like, oh, I didn't anticipate this. And I think Nico Harrison, as we've talked about him a bunch today, he would have never thought, well, all right, I'm going to. I'm going to test the waters and I think I'm going to trade Luca. He never thought, wow, the city and everyone's going to hate my. My.
Steve Covino
Because technically he does. He does make a point. Had everybody stayed healthy and had you gotten a healthy ad, those are big risks. Those are big what ifs.
Rich Davis
As Dan Byer said earlier, he's banking on a healthy, great players, but he's banking on everyone from Kyrie to AD to these guys to be healthy all the time.
Steve Covino
Yeah, aging superstars, too, who were injury prone. So it is a big risk. But he does make a point. It wouldn't have been as bad had they stayed healthy. Not the case. So there's the commonality between Nico Harrison and Gayle King, Katy Perry. They didn't see the repercussions here, the potential backlash that they'd get.
Rich Davis
And we talked about those being defining moments. But I think another fun angle is when you really didn't see it coming, like you may have done. A dumb example is I got all these old home videos of my mom when she was a little girl with her parents. I found them on the way to the 8 millimeter. I got him digitized and I put it to, like a slideshow with music and everything. I gave it to my mom thinking she was gonna be like, you're the greatest son ever. I thought I was gonna get like, pats on the back.
Steve Covino
Like, man, there's rich dawn on you that it could be an emotional moment.
Rich Davis
My mother was crying. He's like, this is the worst. Life is fleeting.
Steve Covino
Why would you do this to me? Why would you do this?
Rich Davis
I'm like, ah. But I. So just to know that people in Life, not just sports. Make decisions, thinking, oh, I'm gonna get a pat on the back. Meanwhile, the world ends up hating them. We got more Covino and Rich next, right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Rich Davis
I was just looking at tonight's NBA games And our good friends at DraftKings.
Steve Covino
Yeah, couple props.
Rich Davis
I think I like. In fact, forget. I think I do like Pistons at Knicks. Knicks are up one game.
Danny G
How about that fourth quarter from them, right?
Rich Davis
I mean, we're not in New York, so I feel like when I talk to my friends back east, there is a sense that, like, the Knicks do have a buzz again.
Steve Covino
No doubt.
Rich Davis
It's. It's clear. But I just wonder tonight. Brunson scored 34 in game one. The over unders 30 and a half. I think I'm going under. I don't think. I mean, maybe. Maybe Pistons play tougher tonight. I don't know. I'm just. I just have a hunch.
Steve Covino
You're saying to watch Cunningham and so. And who else Towns for New York.
Rich Davis
I think under 30. And then I just think it's Joker domination time. I like Jokic 28 or over. So I like over on Yokich, under on Brunson. Who knows? We'll see. DraftKings. Have fun.
Steve Covino
And that side storyline is that Jokic has taken more of a leadership role in the clubhouse, in the locker room this playoff season, which is kind of cool.
Danny G
That was the best game of the weekend. Went to overtime and blow for blow. I thought that was the most exciting game.
Rich Davis
You know, I had a thought over the weekend, Danny, and it has nothing to do with the NBA. As we get ready to get out of here, it's a question that has to do with sports, work, children and pets. I'm tying it all together. I saw that your boy. No, not church. No, I said children, children, sports, pets and work.
Steve Covino
That was a lot.
Rich Davis
Don't worry. I saw your boy, Shohei Ohtani. Shohei Ohtani.
Danny G
Ohtani.
Rich Davis
Shohei Ohtani became a dad. And he wrote a really beautiful message on social media, and he missed the first two games of a series, and now he's back in action. And, you know, we all know he's famously has a little doggie that everyone loves. In fact, his dog has bobbleheads.
Danny G
Decoy.
Rich Davis
Decoy the doggy.
Steve Covino
I also saw something today that the biggest star in New York baseball, not Juan Soto, Trent Grisham, I think is on paternity leave right now. So he had a baby, too.
Rich Davis
I get it. All good. No problem with the paternity leave. Ohtani's back. I'm just asking you because, Kavino, you're a dad. I am. Your daughter's a teenager.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
When your girlfriend have no kids together, but you have a doggy.
Danny G
Yeah.
Steve Covino
It's his birthday today.
Rich Davis
And I. Yeah. So see, it all ties together.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Theo, I saw Covino's little doggie over the weekend on Instagram, and your girlfriend went out and bought him with those cute little cakes made for dogs.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
And I said to Kavina, if you become a dad again and have more kids, that'll fade away. I'm under the belief that people that have all this love for pets. When you have kids.
Steve Covino
Yeah, but you're not a pet person.
Rich Davis
When you have kids, the dog love fades. I believe you still love your pet. But I'm.
Steve Covino
I understand what you're saying, because I do have a child. But I think that you and I both aren't true, like animal people. And if you're a true animal person, you still have kids, still love your animal.
Rich Davis
But your girlfriend's the type that buys clothes for your dog, and that's not true as the Yankees jersey.
Steve Covino
She has one Yankee jersey.
Rich Davis
The other day you bought your dog shoes.
Steve Covino
Yeah. He hasn't worn them.
Rich Davis
Some other pants. Yeah, he bought his dog shoes. And he's saying. He's denying this.
Steve Covino
I mean, he's got cooler shoes than you, if you want to be honest about it.
Rich Davis
Air wolfies.
Steve Covino
But. Yeah. Well, you know, you gotta keep things in mind. You're painting a weird and inaccurate picture here. We live in Los Angeles, so it's either I take. How am I gonna take this dog out for a walk? If you don't put something on his feet, it's gonna burn his feet. These are little foofy dogs. We're talking little foofy dogs.
Rich Davis
Dogs have lived generations.
Steve Covino
You know how. Not under the jelly sun. I don't know. Maybe they have burnt feet. I'm not a dog person. I don't know what to tell you.
Rich Davis
I'm just saying.
Steve Covino
They tell you not. They tell you not to take your dog out for a walk. I'm just saying when it's that hot.
Rich Davis
Out, then forget you. Does Shohei Otani care less about his dog today? Because now he is a father of a human. And my answer is yes.
Steve Covino
I think it's how you come into the situation. You came into situation not really caring about your dog in the first place. So of course your kids are gonna take precedent. Your kids are always gonna take precedent. That's a given. You can't compare the love of your kids to an animal.
Rich Davis
I just feel.
Steve Covino
But I think that some people who care about their dog genuinely are still gonna have that same genuine care for their dog. They're just gonna love their kids more. Not every dog take. And he's almost thrown out of the family. Like your dog. I don't know. Richard never hasn't walked his dog since he had kids. That's the truth.
Rich Davis
The dog doesn't go for walks. Yeah, exactly. Bulldogs aren't supposed to go for walks.
Steve Covino
Yeah, when they're £300. Because you haven't walked them. Exactly.
Danny G
He's been in his crate ever since he was born.
Steve Covino
Your thoughts? You could chime in at Covino and Rich. Show continues there.
Rich Davis
Shohei doesn't care about his dog anymore. We'll see you guys arriva there.
Steve Covino
See you in the promised land.
