Covino
June's the month, huh?
Danny G
I feel like that's when Juan Soto goes from sluggish, like I don't want to be here to doing his little Soto shuffle.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
Hitting bombs. I feel it.
Covino
Okay. June sounds good.
Danny G

Covino
This isn't Ronco, bro. It's CNR on fsr. And we be rocking out on this Thursday. Let's go Pacers. Knicks tonight. Knicks gotta win. Actually, two things could end tonight. Two things could potentially end today. It's really not that hard to figure out.
Danny G
The Knicks season and your hopes and dreams.
Covino
And my hopes and dreams and oh.
Danny G
And the NBA on tnt.
Covino
Right? If they lose tonight, it's over inside.
Monsey
The NBA on tnt. It would be their last show until.
Danny G
They move to espn.
Covino
Yeah, exactly. Right. So we're Covino and Rich. Hope you're having a great one.
Monsey
What you mean NBC?
Covino
Hope you enjoyed the OKC victory last night. Hope all your teams are winning right now. We do this every Thursday and we're going to switch it up just for fun, just to get you involved. If we think you have an answer that just slays, we'll hook you up with A prize? Why not?
Danny G
Oh, really?
Covino
Why not? It's latoya Jackson's birthday, and you may say, what a stretch. But you think about the Jacksons.
Danny G
I'll say, what a stretch. No, no, no, no.
Covino
Because you think about the picture I saw was Michael Jackson in.
Monsey
Yeah.
Covino
And you're like, man, what a famous family. What a weird famous family they have. She's 69. So it got us thinking about famous families. It could be real fictional sports entertainment, whatever. What do you think would be the funnest family to live with? To live with who? If you could choose. All right. 87799 on Fox. You know, when I was thinking about the Jacksons too, I was like, well, who's more famous than them in sports? There's a lot of random sports families that we talk about all the time. But I was thinking about the. The Wayans brothers. The Wayans family, too. You gotta tip your Dodgers hat to them. Who else comes to mind?
Danny G
Recently saw a clip of the Wayans brothers talking about how.
Covino
But, dude, they must be a lot of fun.
Danny G
Talking about how when they met Jim Carrey.
Covino
Oh, yeah.
Danny G
They knew, like, this guy's the funniest white dude we've ever met. And they're like. They remember thinking, like, we're bringing him to In Living Color. And they remember doing standup with him, saying he would do the Fire Marshal Bill and all that. And they. They knew when they got their sketch comedy show In Living Color, the Wayans brothers were like, jim Carrey's our white guy.
Covino
But Jim Carrey made fun of Pee Wee Herman. He talks about it in the documentary. I didn't like when Jim Carrey made fun of me.
Monsey
You know who'd be a really fun sports family to have a meal with? The Mannings.
Covino
Ah, you know what?
Danny G
That's a great answer.
Covino
Fun families. Yeah, they're probably the most fun.
Monsey
Peyton and Eli going back and forth, and even the third brother who didn't play Cooper. Yeah.
Covino
So sports, family, entertainment, fictional. Doesn't matter. Is there a family? Probably a TV family, right?
Danny G
The Manning brothers. Kavito wants to hang out with the Property brothers. Hey, you know what?
Covino
Hey, by the way, before we take all the phone calls and my. And by the way, it's all lit up. We appreciate it. 87799 on Fox. There was an adjacent story about shows we grew up with because let's say your family is the Seavers from Growing Pains. I always thought they were fun. I always wish I had a dad like Alan Thicke.
Danny G
You always wish we had a train in your living room. Like silver spoons.
Covino
Right. There was a study that took place that said if you show kids today shows from the 90s, it changes their mood completely. Like they're less anxious, they're more likely to sleep through the night. They're not as add wanting their tablet at all times. Because today's shows condition a kid to like, want everything right away be stimulated right away. Now, now, now. Quick cut, quick cut, quick cut.
Danny G
Whether it's Coco Melon. Whether it's Coco Melon or a lot of these YouTube videos, there is a frantic sense to the. The nature in which they're filming.
Covino
Right. It changes their behavioral patterns where they're more relaxed. If you show them some Mr. Rogers or just to slow paced, anything that we grew up watching, it calms their mood in a different way. Right. Danny G. Am I, am I getting that right?
Monsey
Yeah, you got it. And it said that the moms who tried this out, the kids would watch an episode or two of a 90s show and then they'd be done with back to playing with their toys or whatever. And it improved toddler sleep patterns.
Covino
Oh, yeah. So instead of wanting to pick up the tablet or the phone and watch the next video, next YouTube clip, next cartoon, they would actually play with their toys.
Danny G
Well, that's perfect. Then Tonight, instead of YouTube videos, I'm gonna make my son watch Martin.
Covino
Martin.
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
But you know what?
Danny G
Hey, Benny boy, sit down.
Monsey
We're watching. They were age appropriate 90s shows.
Covino
Yeah. But to them though, Dora the Explorer, it was. They did say Mr. Rogers. Yeah, they said Mr. Rogers neighborhood in the 90s, things like that. From their little kid perspective, it's the slowest moving stuff they've ever seen. So it puts them in that relaxed, sedated sort of state.
Danny G
Yeah, less so. Let's frantic, more. Swiper. No Swipey.
Monsey
Yeah. KOA Can't. Big baby KOA he can't even hang with Bluey. That's too slow for him.
Covino
Yeah. So I mean, just something to think about in a related story, but your.
Danny G
Phone calls, your feedback, what family? And by the way, Danny, you have a little one and I'm sure a lot of people listening do.
Covino
Oh, no. KO is pretty big.
Danny G
He's the biggest little one.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
There, there's the fun fact that if you got sucked into that cocoa melon rage that every little kid watched at some point, they cut to a different frame every two seconds. And it really does f with your kids like attention and, you know, ability to focus. It's like, cut, cut, cut. Screen, screen. It bounces around so much. So calm down.
Monsey
TV version of ADD Radio.
Covino
Yeah, I imagine a lot of rich families would be fun on TV that we grew up watching. Like we said, the Drummonds, Fresh Prince, things like that. But let's go to your phone calls. 877-99-5. Yeah.
Danny G
What family you hanging with? John in Montana, Kavino and Rich. What's up, buddy?
Covino
Thank you.
Danny G
What's up, man?
Caller
So, yeah, so the concept of, like, both real and fake, it would be more so fake in the 90s.
Danny G
But the McMahon family, Shane and Vince and Stephanie. The McMahons.
Caller
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Danny G
You're fire. I mean, after the.
Covino
That, you know, Jim McMahon family.
Danny G
Oh, they all wear sunglasses.
Covino
Yeah, they're doing the super bowl shuffle.
Danny G
Hey, listen, the McMahon's a powerful family.
Monsey
Let's see. After that documentary we all watched, we.
Danny G
Learned a little too much about Vince. I don't know if that's the answer it once was.
Covino
I could snap at you any moment. Who else?
Danny G
The part of that documentary that weirded me out the most, besides the fact that since Vince has been accused of really some horrific stuff, the fact that he's like. And I never got my father's love, like he was just shows you the effect people's parents have.
Covino
Dad, like, hug him one time.
Danny G
He hugged me once. That was the best moment.
Covino
And he starts crying, almost crying, thinking about it, like, dang.
Danny G
Sorry. Trip, our buddy in Vegas. What's up, Tripp?
Covino
Hey, Tripp.
Caller
Gentlemen, thank you for taking my call.
Covino
What up?
Caller
I'm excited. I'm less than a month away from hanging with my favorite family. Casino and Rich family.
Danny G
That's what's up, man.
Covino
See you in Vegas.
Caller
What's up there? The. So of course, Rich got me on one, so I came up with. No, I was going to say Edward Stratton, which is Silver Spoons. That is a pretty cool place. But I guess my next. My next one would be how about the Sopranos?
Danny G
Hey, you're protected. But also, any given moment, you're like, is someone going to off me or what?
Covino
Hold on. Like, their. Their. Their living situation was never fun. Aj. Yeah. AJ and Menno are always real. Don't go testy.
Caller
Get a snack in the fridge after dinner. Tony will.
Covino
Right? Tony's all mad, eating gabagool in his robe all the time.
Danny G
The mom's a pain.
Caller
I wanted some pulp.
Monsey
There was some money, though. Like, some of us grew up in unstable families without the money.
Covino
Edie FAL making out with Furio behind his back. The whole thing was disrupted.
Danny G
He's got his goomod.
Covino
Yeah. Like so. I don't know. There's a lot of. There was a lot of tension in the air.
Monsey
Tony got Meadow that. That suv.
Danny G
Remember?
Covino
I mean, yeah, I guess if you. I get it. If you were broke, if you grew up broke, I could see you wanting to be part of that. But otherwise, that's a. That's a stressful situation. And worth to watch again, by the way. Still holds up. I'm on like season five again, let's say.
Danny G
What's up? To Milo in East Bakersfield. What's up, Milo?
Covino
What up, Milo?
Caller
Big up. Enough respect, boys. What's up there?
Danny G
What up?
Caller
Thanks for taking my call. Three words for the patriarch, the family.
Covino
One.
Caller
We chilling with Robert Nesta. Marley. You play soccer, you're in a musical family. It's always the right time. 4:20 and you can't get in trouble for it. They live modest, but they flew the world.
Covino
It's an interesting answer, man. The Mar. The Marlies. Music, sports, a little bit of rock star life legend. That's pretty cool, man. That's a interesting answer. Who else comes to mind? You know, I'm really racking my brain. I'm thinking every show and, like, where I would have fit in most. And I think I already said it. Like, I think the most normal, fun family that I watched growing up was, believe it or not, the Seaver family. But what I want to live with them. I don't know.
Danny G
Mike, remember he popped the waterbed.
Covino
Yeah. But at least, like Alan Thicke and Mike.
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
Jason and Maggie were. They were kind of normal and fun. Everyone else, like. Nah, not interested. Not interested.
Danny G
What about the Hustable?
Monsey
You would have been the real boner.
Danny G
What about the Huxtable? I mean, the Huxtables just said, don't go drinking with dad.
Covino
That's what she said. Yeah, the Huxtables. Nah, not for me. Not for me. Who do we got? 8, 7, 7, 9 on Fox.
Danny G
We got Jay in Seattle. What's up, Jay?
Covino
What up, Jay?
Caller
What up, fellas?
Danny G
Hey.
Caller
Love the show.
Covino
Thank you.
Caller
Look, there's only one answer to this question. It's a non conventional family. A little different. I'm moving in with the boys from Queens. Vinny Chase, Johnny Drama, Purdle and E. Easy.
Monsey
I love that.
Covino
That might be a cool one too. You know what? Is that the. Is that the swiggy Danny G? Cause that is a cool answer.
Monsey
Yeah. You know what, Jay, stay on.
Covino
Hold on. Because they were living like rock stars.
Danny G
I'm gonna give you one. Can I give you the answer that I would not want to live with? I don't want to change a question, but as I'm thinking of our shows from our childhood.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
Like, was there anything more stressful than the wonder years and how, like, the.
Covino
Mean dad, Dan Lauria.
Danny G
Dan Lauria, that was.
Covino
Who played Vince Lombardi on Broadway. He did.
Danny G
I saw him. That was fantastic. Yeah. So many shows, they're flawed or broke. Like, people are saying they were living.
Covino
Through, like, the Vietnam times.
Danny G
I was looking at our feedback on Twitter, and someone's like, the Connors, Roseanne. I'm like, yeah, but they were poor.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
Not to be mean, but, like, if.
Covino
You get no room on that. The couch with Roseanne and John Goodman. No, thanks.
Danny G
Choose a family. Don't you want to choose a family.
Monsey
That, you know, has an extra bedroom for you?
Covino
Yeah. Yeah. If you're going to choose family, you gotta be fun, wealthy, or just like we said in real life. Is there a family? It's like, wow, they're so cool. I wish I could hang with them.
Danny G
Well, you know who's very welcoming?
Monsey
Who?
Danny G
The Cunninghams. They let Fonzie hang around and.
Covino
Right. He lived in their garden. Mr. C. Yeah, they were nice. Tom Bosley.
Danny G
Let's go to Brian. Virginia. Brian, you're on the show. What's up, bud?
Caller
Hey. How's it going, guys? Love your show.
Danny G
Oh, thank you.
Caller
I gotta live with the Sheen family. You got Martin Sheen, the dad, beautiful wife, you know, beautiful young wife. You got Charlie Sheen with so many drugs, winning any kind of drug you want. And you got little Emilio Essence, your buddy, the rom com guy.
Covino
I love the fact that Charlie Sheen having drugs was like. Like the good thing. Yeah. Charlie Sheen. Think of all the drugs and women he'd bring. Yeah.
Danny G
Think about it. I mean, Emil.
Covino
That's funny, dude. That's a really funny answer.
Danny G
Gordon Bombay. I mean, come on.
Covino
But so far, I do think Entourage is the coolest answer because who would not want to experience that at least for a month or so? Based on. Again, the Jacksons. It's latoya's birthday. So we're thinking, like, where the Jacksons, if they were the biggest celebrity family, would you really want to live with them, though? Would you really want to hang with them?
Danny G
I think there's. Here's the interesting part. I'll give you the hint, and I'll give people a chance. But I think there's an actor. One of my favorite of all time. That his two different TV families are both great answers. His two different TV families are great answers.
Covino
You're going to say Al Bundy.
Danny G
Of course I am. Al Bundy.
Covino
Ed o' Neill.
Danny G
I should say Ed o' Neill, because Modern Family, you had the Dunphys and then the Pritchard. So it's like Jay and Sofia Vergara.
Covino
They're rich.
Danny G
They live in the valley. You know, the families, they all get along. It's nice, functional family. Seem like they're a fun time. And then, of course, Al Bundy. Your siblings are Bud Bundy and Kelly.
Covino
Yeah, but you know what? If Jambi gave you this wish, I think you're not thinking the right way.
Danny G
I'll just say, but Kelly could be my stepsister.
Covino
Oh, that's what I'm saying. If you think from that perspective. Right. How about too close for comfort? Ted Knight had two hot daughters, bro. I'll hang with them for a weekend. Remember, he had the blonde and the brunette?
Monsey
You know, as a little kid, the family I thought was kind of cool.
Covino
How about just the 10 of us? Remember all the women in that show? All those hot women?
Monsey
How about chilling with Michael J. Fox in the Family Ties?
Covino
They were another. The Keatons were another, like, normal. They were, like, cool, nice parents. Yeah, they were very normal. That would. That would have been kind of fun. I'm with you. I feel the same way about them as I do Growing Pains.
Danny G
Fun fact. What's the dad's name on that show?
Covino
Stephen Keaton.
Danny G
No, but his actor. The actor.
Covino
I don't know his real name.
Danny G
The Meredith Baxter. Bernie. The mom and the dad were born on the same day. I thought that was always an interesting.
Covino
Sure about that. I know for a fact he made that up.
Danny G
Didn't make Michael.
Monsey
Gross.
Danny G
Michael.
Covino
But if you think from that perspective, your answer might be different. Like, if you start thinking about. Yeah, you know, hanging with Charles and Buddy. Charles in charge to hang out. Nicole Eggert in her prime.
Danny G
You know, I wouldn't mind hanging out with the Powells. I always thought that.
Covino
How about, you know, Charlesace and Willie ains.
Danny G
Hold on.
Covino
Charles scamming lots of booty back then.
Danny G
Charles is essentially your babysitter. And your steps. Your stepsister is Nicole Eggert. And Buddy Lembeck always comes by.
Covino
That might be fun. You go down to a Sid's, right?
Danny G
Sid's Pizza. Hey, Charles.
Covino
And then you get to tag along. That might be fun.
Monsey
How about JJ as your brother? Good times.
Covino
I mean, you're having good times, right? Some may say dynamite. 87799 on Fox. It's a silly question. It doesn't have to be fictional. Is there a real family? I already said the Wayans brothers.
Caller
That's.
Covino
That's the way. Say you got to live there for a weekend and party and barbecue with them. You're not having a great time with the Wayans family.
Danny G
I mean, you always had a huge crush on Natalie from Facts of. What about that? What about living in with those women?
Covino
I want to sleep between Natalie and Mrs. Garrett. Dude, two shout outs in one week. All right, let's go.
Danny G
What about Blair or Tootie?
Covino
Oh, Tootie all the way. Absolutely. Kim Fields all day.
Danny G
Well, what do you want to say?
Covino
I got one for you. The LaRusso family, a la Cobra Kai. Because the wife is. She's kind of hot.
Danny G
Yeah. And they have money.
Covino
Yeah. They had a nice little pack.
Danny G
But Ralph Macchio, who I love in real life, the character, sort of annoying.
Monsey
Yeah.
Covino
We get some free karate lessons.
Caller
Cove, Are you going to see Karate.
Covino
Kids Legends comes out this weekend. We'll be talking about it tomorrow on Weekend Hobnob.
Caller
Karate Kid Legends.
Covino
Yeah. With Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchiato.
Caller
You probably will legit see that.
Danny G
He will not, I don't know.
Covino
Debating Yankees Dodgers this week.
Danny G
Yeah, I said, I said, are you going to go see the Yankees Dodgers? He goes, you underestimate my level of wanting to chill. Yeah.
Covino
I mean, I love watching at home.
Danny G
If he won't go to the Dodgers Yankees game out here in la, you think he's going to the box office to see the.
Covino
My mortgage is not cheap. I want to enjoy being home as much as possible. All right, so back to the calls and we'll wrap it up. So far, Entourage is the number one answer on the board. If you could beat it, what family would you want to chill with? Fictional or real? Doesn't matter. 877-9 on Fox. Let's wrap it up with your phone calls now.
Danny G
Steve, Odessa. What's up?
Caller
What's up, guys? Big fan.
Danny G
Oh, thanks.
Caller
Silver spoons, man. I mean, 80s arcade in your living room and a train.
Covino
And Menudo performed on the show one.
Danny G
Time in their living. Gotta keep it moving.
Monsey
And you'd have Aaron Gray around.
Covino
Yeah, you know what? That's. I think it's a pretty common and relatable answer because every kid probably watch like, damn, I wish I was rich like that. So that's a good one. It's a good answer, but it doesn't beat Entourage. Thank you. Eight, seven, seven, Nine, eight on Fox.
Danny G
So we got Todd in Missouri.
Covino
What up, Todd?
Danny G
Todd's the coolest. No.
Caller
What's up?
Danny G
What's up, man?
Caller
I'm gonna agree with my daughter and shout out to Belcher family from Bob's Burgers. Looks like a fun time.
Danny G
So, you know, we never thought of fictional. What about. Did the Simpsons or the Griffins? Family Guy? Any of those families sort of fun or they're also delinquent.
Monsey
That would add an hour onto the conversation. If we go to cartoons.
Covino
Yeah, but I mean, fair, Fair. Let's go back to the calls. You want to talk to who? Man, people are lighting them up. Joe.
Danny G
What's up, Joey?
Covino
Joe and Maine.
Caller
Hey, how about I have two? I'm torn between two.
Either the Kardashians, a Todd, Julie and Nanny Faye, by the way.
Danny G
Kardashians. Good answer.
Covino
Yeah, dude, I changed my answer. I want to live with them for sure. Yeah, because they're all hot and they're rich.
Danny G
After a week, Kavino's gonna come back with a fake ass and Botox.
Covino
Yeah. Oh, yeah, I'm in. Sign me up. That's my answer. I don't want to live with one. You think I want to live the Key family. Nice.
Danny G
Nice ass, Kavito.
Covino
No, I'm going real.
Monsey
I was gonna say then you could get Chris's surgeon.
Covino
And by the way, they're real and fake all at the same time. So that's my answer.
Danny G
You know, that might be the answer.
Covino
The Kardashians think of the circus you'd witness. Kanye's there. Lamar Odom stops by. What? Scott Dislod Disick shows up. All these kids are there. Lots of fat booties. That's a good time, man. Sign me up. That's my answer. You know what? Can we give him a prize? I think it's better than Entourage. I think that was a great answer. You know what?
Danny G
We'll take the rest of your feedback. And of course, we got to talk some NBA. We'll get back into some sports. Game 5 tonight, the Knicks keep this going. Because if the Knicks keep going, they do. If they win tonight, they're favored by what? I'm going to guess the lines. What, still four and a half or five? Let me. Let me look right now. Because if they keep it going tonight, NBA ba.
Covino
Bam.
Danny G
Four and a half. They win tonight. You're forcing a game six and then all eyes on Indiana Saturday night. Like, can they finish at home? Because if they don't, then now you're going back for Game 7 at the Garden. It could get wild, it could get crazy.
Covino
But here's the fun part.
Danny G
It all starts tonight, though.
Covino
It all starts. It all starts tonight. And anything could happen. Anything. Momentum could shift. Someone can get hurt. Not rooting for that, but anything could happen. And it all starts with a nice win from the Knicks. We'll see.
Danny G
All right, we got more Cavino and Rich next right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Covino
Now, I don't want to brag, but I'm sort of feeling myself, literally, because this shirt is so nice and soft. The cloud collection from Travis Matthew.
Danny G
They got really good stuff, man. Everything from the tees to the the cloud collection to the MLB collection, I got some pretty nice met stuff. And you know, usually when it's sports.
Covino
Gear, the only thing weak about it is that it says Mets. But as far as quality, really nice shirt. The tees, your first layer, your only layer. Built for movement, made for style. These new tees keep you up no matter where you're headed.
Danny G
Button ups, button up your look effortless style wherever you land. I have a really nice black button up from Travis Matthew and it's fantastic. So.
Covino
Oh, you know what too, man? If you're like me and you're always like, I don't know, none of the packages are ever for you at your house. They're always for your wife. Just know they do free shipping and free returns for rewards members. So they make it easy for you at Travis Matthew, no doubt.
Danny G

Covino
Well, I know Iowa. Sam's number one answer, the Adams family. I'd rather live with the Munsters, to be honest. And I mean that. I was more of a Munsters guy. Herman, way more entertaining. Covino and Rich.
Danny G
Oh, I just walked in. Herman Munster. Who are you talking about? Aaron Judge. Hitting home runs like Herman Munster.
Covino
Well, if you're here on the podcast in the future, you're not hearing the music, so I always am playing MC Hammers Adams family on a throwback Thursday as we wrap up. What family would you want to roll with? Live with, party with, whatever. Based on Latoya Jackson's birthday. The Jacksons. Yeah, that would have been an awesome answer. 1980 something. But yeah, looking back, they're kind of weird. I don't know. We're live from Fox Sports Radio studio. Ready for a new job. Let express employment pros help. So that means on over promised a half hour from now, we go live on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Please join us and chime in with the live chat. We're going to talk about Gen Z and what makes them weird. They have weird habits when watching sports. And there's two other stories that involve sex and just things that Gen Z's doing. On over promised episode 94 debuts today. Join us live.
Danny G
Wes in Vegas hit us up and he goes, any interest in hanging with the folks from Dukes of Hazzard?
Covino
Oh, Daisy Duke, no.
Danny G
You're going to hang with. Who's the cousins that filled in?
Covino
Dancing.
Danny G
Dancing coy.
Covino
Dancing coy.
Danny G
That's what you're hanging.
Monsey
Would you be allowed to rock the Confederate flag?
Covino
Oh, yeah. Over there. It's okay, I guess, you know.
Monsey
Well, no, I'm just saying, Rich, I.
Covino
Show I would be boss, bro. They would call me boss Hog. They would call me the boss with the hog. That's what they were called.
Danny G
They wouldn't call you. Sean, hit us up. Our buddy listening out here on the iHeart app in LA, he goes, if you want to keep it to a sports family, a lot of great TV families. But if you had to pick a sports family, he said, you guys mentioned the Mannings. What about the Kelsey's? Because, ah, that's a really good answer.
Covino
They're fun too. They seem like down to earth guys, likable, fun guys.
Danny G
Jason's a dad, his wife seems cool. They got kids. Then you got the whole Taylor Swift angle.
Covino
That's a good, real answer.
Monsey
You could get her leftover. Like girlfriends.
Danny G
Yeah, I mean, you.
Covino
That is. That is a really good answer when you think about it, because you could always talk sports with them. Music. They're fun. They're younger. Like you said, the Taylor Swift connection. What? That would be fun.
Danny G
So I, you know, that's a great answer. Rapid Fire. We'll go to Mon for the update. We'll talk a little NBA to wrap the show. See where we're at with the Knicks and Pacers and talk a little okc.
Monsey
And really quick. By the way, I gave a swiggy to the gentleman who said the Kardashians.
Danny G
Yeah, it's a good answer.
Covino
It's a good answer. Just because there's so many elements to why that would be fun. It'd be a circus, but it'd be fun to.
Danny G
It would be an S show, but it would be a fun.
Monsey
Right?
Danny G
Chris and Phoenix. Rapid Fire. What's up, man?
Caller
Hey, I got the Watt brothers.
Danny G
The Watt brothers? Yeah.
Monsey
You know what?
Covino
That's a good answer. I don't think they're as fun as the Kelsey's, though.
Danny G
The Bosas do you see? Not my dude, Nick.
Covino
I want to hang with them. They're all too big and ripped. I feel like a little weenie.
Danny G
Joey Bosa, already injured.
Monsey
I was gonna say, Rich, you hang out with them, you'd wind up injured.
Danny G
I was gonna say, Nick. I remember being all bummed, like, man, the Niners didn't want to link up the bros. Well, guess what? He's already hurt in Buffalo. All right, Boise, what's up, man?
Caller
Hey, guys. Love your show.
Danny G
Thank you, man.
Caller
I don't know if anybody said this, but who wouldn't want to live with Air Foreman and with the Foremans and just sit in the basement, get high all day.
Danny G
Yeah, you know that 70s show, right?
Caller
Red Foreman, the dad. Yeah. I mean, that's a good answer. I was thinking about that earlier.
Danny G
They do seem fun. That's a good answer. And you know what someone else said on our Twitter page? Someone said, everybody loves Raymond. The Barones, like, Raymond and his wife seem cool. And the mom and the brother across the street, but to me, it's so Long Island. I feel like I grew up with the Barones across the street.
Covino
If you have all this option, that wouldn't make my, like, wish. I mean, it's a nice answer, but there's better ones. Yeah.
Danny G
I mean, if you're Will Smith, Fresh Prince got to be the number one real answer. Because, you know, you were troubled and you moved with Your auntie and uncle in Bel Air. And you lived in the cool pool house.
Caller
Yeah, but Uncle Phil, dude, he's a hard ass.
Danny G
He was tough but fair.
Caller
Yeah, he was.
Covino
He's a judge, Matt.
Monsey
He was a softy on the inside, though.
Danny G
How come no one loves me? How come no one wants me? Let's go to Matt in Boston.
Caller
Yo, I got 90210. The Walshes. You could be Brandon's best buddy. He's letting you hook up with his sister Brenda. Oh, when she moves out. You got Valerie coming in from Tiffany. Amber Thiessen.
Danny G
Say, about the belt.
Caller
90210.
Covino
Yeah. You got Jenny Garth hanging out, Stopped by every once in a while.
Monsey
Matt was thinking outside the box with him.
Covino
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Think about this. What?
Danny G
Not the Tanner's like, full house. What about the Tanner's like alf, Willy. You live an alien. You're obsessed with aliens and UFOs.
Covino
Oh, you want to live with him.
Danny G
But you're the type of guy you always talk about other aliens with.
Covino
Alf, just one down the conversation.
Monsey
You're like one of the only people we know. He didn't know the family's name of that.
Covino
Yeah, Tanner's.
Danny G
You guys are out of your mind. I'm changing my answer.
Covino
The weakest answer ever. Willie answer stinks.
Danny G
What about the ecmonics? The next door neighbor? No, no, I. Jim in Florida.
Caller
Hey, guys, listen, I want to get whacked and I'd rather go rocket mortgage. But how about the Sopranos?
Covino
You know, you're the second person that said that. And as much as I love the show, living with them would be a nightmare. Tony, you feel slobby? Gets home all drunk and angry all the time.
Caller
Cops are raiding your house.
Covino
If you watch that again. No one in the house is having fun at all. There's a lot of tension in that house.
Danny G
And eventually there's a chance you'll get whacked.
Covino
Yeah, they had a nice pool in the backyard. That's about it. The ducks came to visit. Nothing good was going on in that house.
Danny G
Wrap it up, RJ. In Vegas, where we're gonna be June 20th to the 22nd for our big party. Hope to see you there, RJ. What's up, guys?
Caller
Thank you. Huge fan. Anyway, two Nikki Cox and Bobcat gold plate from. Oh, my goodness, Greg the Bunny. And do you guys consider Michael, Sam, Fiona and Jess Burn notice a family?
Danny G
That first answer, I think, is you. Just like that girl. Because I remember that show. Remember that?
Covino
Yeah, but wasn't she also on just the 10 of us? Wasn't she in that Nikki Cox, I think. Wasn't she?
Danny G
No, no, that's. She's younger.
Covino
I think she was, bro. Double check.
Danny G
Nah, I'd rather not. I'll be fine not knowing.
Covino
But at least you got 10 women on that show. I think so.
Caller
I don't really care. I've moved on.
Covino
Yeah, what?
Danny G
A bit. You know what?
Covino
No.
Danny G
Zack Morris's dad seemed like he didn't care at times. I'm like, wasn't Zach Morris pretty well off if you were, like, Zach Morris's bro?
Covino
I don't remember his dad at all.
Danny G
He was, but, like, that was in.
Caller
Like, one or two episodes.
Danny G
His dad would come in with a cell phone once every season.
Caller
Block phone.
Danny G
Yeah, Like, Zach, what's going on, son? You know? And he was like, a douche. Right.
Covino
Stupid. All right, so, hey, chime in with the rest of your answers at Covino Sports Radio.
Danny G
Kelly Kapowski's family couldn't afford the prom. Forget that family.
Covino
Right?
Caller
That's true.
Danny G
They had a dance outside. My goodness. Monsieur, any answer from you before we get to your update?
Caller
No, but they were all so good. There were so many to choose from.
Danny G
I know. I'm thinking, if there's anyone we know. Can I. Yes, please, Sam.
Caller
So these guys were born in the late 1800s, early 1900s. The Howard brothers, the Three Stooges, Curly, Shemp and Mo. Because they think about, like, them getting their routine down when they were teenagers.
Danny G
That's so funny.
Caller
And then launching that show, which I watch clips of all the time. I think that'd be fascinating.
Danny G
Can I tell you?
Covino
You know, I think a lot of people don't know. The common idiot doesn't know that that's me. Curly and Mo were actual brothers.
Danny G
Common idiot was a brother.
Covino
Larry was the only one that wasn't a brother.
Caller
Yeah, they were the Horowitz common idiot.
Covino
Yeah, I know. Pathetic.
Caller
Imagine them in, like, teenage years, like, early New York, Brooklyn, you know?
Danny G
You also a common idiot?
Caller
Yes, I am.
Danny G
I wanted to bring up one thing. Every time you guys talk about anything, early 1900s or 1800s. Now I can't get something out of my head. I watched last night a documentary about. I'm big on these History Channel documentaries. I hit the History Channel documentaries not just because Covino's a talking head on a bunch of them, but I find them interesting. Right. We talked about the one about Spalding and Wilson and the sports ones as the foods that built America. I watch one about, like the industries about America. The subway system. When they built the subways in New York and Boston in the late 1800s, do you know there was like disease running rampant in the Northeast? Because every day there were just piles and piles of horse manure everywhere. Because there got a point where the cities were just covered in poo and they're saying disease and smell every time. I think now of the early.
Caller
It would get all dusty when it would get dry. I've read about this.
Monsey
Yeah.
Caller
And it'd be like sloppy when it was raining.
Danny G
Like, if you were to time travel TO the early 1900s in New York City thinking, oh, that must have been a cool time to visit in history.
Covino
Gross.
Caller
Everything smelled bad, stinks because of.
Covino
And what does this have to do with the price of bananas?
Danny G
They talk about Molary and Curly. I was like, that's what you think of. They must have stunk.
Covino
That's where your stupid thought.
Monsey
I thought Rich was going to take us back to the family on Little House on the Prairie.
Covino
I know what the Ingles family.
Monsey
Yeah. Pa plays the fiddle every night after dinner.
Covino
I want to live in Walnut Grove with Charles and Laura and Carol Ingles. I had no idea how that even tied into anything he heard. He heard Black and White, Three Stooges and thought of that.
Danny G
I thought and I thought of stinky times.
Covino
Yeah. Get over here. See, let me poke you in the eyes like Mo.
Danny G
Yeah. You must smell because it's the 1800s. All right, Monsey. What up, buddy?
Caller
What up, guys?
Danny G
Update us.
Caller
About 90 minutes away from game five of the Eastern Conference finals in the NBA, where it's winter. Go home for the Knicks as they host the Pacers at Madison Square Garden. In the NFL, the Dolphins have had trade discussions with the Steelers surrounding tight end John U.S. smith after he expressed interest in reworking his deal that is scheduled to pay him 4.8 million this season. According to ESPN, he wants to stay with the Dolphins under a rework deal, but he was not seen at their second day of OTAs in college hoops. NCAA President Charlie Baker says that there is value in expanding March Madness from 68 teams to 72 or 76 teams and that he expects to reach a decision in the next few months.
Danny G
Like, what is like. Like 64, not enough?
Caller
I know. And what he says, he's like, well, you know, there's people in the country that think that they would have been like, 69, 70. And so we want to give them a chance. And it's like, okay, when you get to 76 are you going to say that about 77 and 78 and 79.
Danny G
I feel like the college football expansion makes sense because, you know, there was only a few.
Caller
Sure.
Danny G
You really need close to 100 teams. Give me a break.
Caller
It does seem, it does seem like a lot. In the NHL, the Capitals made a, an unfortunate mistake. The capital sent all their season ticket holders an email saying that next year was going to be Alex Ovechkin's final year and they had to retract. It was sent by like their sales department accidentally and they were like, no, no, no.
Danny G
We don't know.
Caller
We actually are not sure if he's gonna retire or not. But I think that ship has sailed already telling them that at the world College, at the Women's College World Series opening round started today. Texas shut out Florida 30 and Oklahoma walked it off 54 against Tennessee. The Sooners, no surprise there. And at the French Open, on the ladies side, two seed Coco Gauff three seed Jessica Pegula both won their second round matches. Novak Djokovic also won his second round match. And number one seed on the guy's side, Yannick Sinner is also moving on. Back to you guys.
Covino
Thank you, Matzi Bolanos.
Danny G
Thank you.
Covino
Always fun hanging out with Mozzie. Always fun to be here. Fox Sports Radio Nation. Again, Covino and Rich. Now I know Rich wants to sell us on why Francisco Lindor is as rated as he is still underrated, what makes him great. And then what's sadder tonight if the Knicks end or is the end of this run on tnt.
Danny G
Well, we'll get some more sad and why Lindor is the greatest human in baseball. We'll wrap it up next right here, Fox Sports radio.
Covino
All right, 12 minutes from now, over promised because we never have time start talking about stupid TV shows and. And next thing you know, it's late early. So over promised our bonus because we overpromise ideas that we never get to. We'll talk about athletes and boats and why they don't, why they don't add up right. Athletes and boats plus something about Gen Z.
Danny G
Something, something about boats and athletes not good. And Gen Z, Generation Z.
Covino
We have a few thoughts about them that we share on over promised. We go live in about 12 minutes on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Join us live or check it out later. Episode 94 debuts today. You're gonna wear that shirt for one of our Vegas broadcasts.
Covino
No, I'm gonna wear it right now and over. Promise. So if you want to see my sweet Travis Matthews shirt that I'm wearing, this cloud collection right here.
Danny G
You see.
Covino
It in 11 minutes on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
Danny G
Wow, Rich.
Monsey
Going to be rubbing on it during that show, too.
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
Want to rub it again?
Danny G
What a shirt.
Covino
Yeah. And you know what? I might wear it to our big party in Vegas June 20th. I see how Monty's looking at me in the shirt.
Danny G
June 20th.
Covino
I'm inspired. Maybe I will.
Danny G
I got to tell you why Francisco Lindor is better than anyone on your team. Francisco Lindor.
Covino
Can I start off by saying he's not a hateable guy at all? Even if you hate the Mets, he's like a likable guy.
Caller
Yeah.
Monsey
There was a cool moment where his wife talked to him when he was playing. Did you guys see that? That was so cool.
Danny G
I mean, the Mets. I think the Mets are sort of failing. And I'm the biggest Mets fan. You know, I think the Mets are failing by not already having made this guy captain.
Covino
And he got the nod from former Mets captains. I agree with you. The way he led the team last year, last postseason, on that playoff run, that was wild, man. He was. He was really stepping up, especially coming off a season where he didn't play his best last year. He was amazing.
Danny G
Clutch player. Yeah, not only clutch. Family guy. Right. I mean, like, everyone loves the relationship that he shows with his daughters who go to the games. And he'll go up to them.
Covino
Girl dad stuff.
Danny G
Yeah. Girl dad. Top tier. Girl dad.
Covino
Yeah. Seems like a real likable guy.
Danny G
Comes up to the plate. My girl. The whole city field sings along. My girl. My girl. So not only is he already lovable, there's a story out today where Francisco Lindor goes up to every teammates locker after every series to just sort of check in on them. For me, it's more instinctual, said Lindor. It's like walking into my house and checking in on my kids. And then Juan Soto, who stay stinking like Gabe Lincoln. My. My patience with Juan Soto's over.
Caller
Sad.
Covino
He puts the stink in instinctual.
Danny G
I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. We're a third of the way through. I said it before, if June is not where he bats. 400 and hits 15 home runs, you better shape up Soto.
Covino
But in reality, it could just be a stinker of a season. You know, eventually he's going to turn it around.
Danny G
Of course. And you know what I said to someone else? If the Mets, God willing, made the playoffs and went on a run, Imagine if Soto gets like a World Series hit. That means the world. It wouldn't even matter what he did. Even Soto said, yo, he really seems to care about every guy. It's a huge deal for the team. He shows a little love for every player. He has their back. It's big time. And even guys like Sean Mania went on to say, it goes a long way. He makes all the new players feel welcome. I can't think of anyone I've ever played with that makes everyone feel special.
Covino
So every day he goes up to his teammates, like, how you doing today? Like, how you doing?
Danny G
Griffin Canning, who is a new Met this year, said, I never played with a guy that shows the kind of leadership Lindor does like. Goes out of his way to talk to everyone from the backup middle infielder to the star players. So just one of those guys. The same way I hate the Phillies, but I love Bryce Harper.
Caller
Yeah.
Danny G
The way I love Ohtani, but I don't like the Dodgers. Lindor, I can only imagine. I hope that everyone realizes that this guy is fantastic.
Caller
And that story. What I like it said that it just seems authentic. Like, it doesn't seem like it's a fake Persona.
Covino
Oh, like when Rich is walking around the office pointing at everybody.
Caller
Exactly.
Covino
Yeah, I know what you mean.
Danny G
Hey. Hey.
Covino
How's it going? I forgot your name, but what's up?
Danny G
Are you kidding me?
Covino
I'm just kidding. But you know what? I think that's really great company. And that might be a discussion for another day. Bryce Harper, Ohtani, Lindor, regardless of your fandom and your alliance. Yeah.
Danny G
Aaron, you can't.
Caller
Yeah, you can't.
Covino
Some of those guys, they're really great superstars because they're just really likable dudes. Now, tonight, I have a question. Yeah.
Danny G
The Cubs, who have one of the best records in baseball, first of all, Pete Crow, Armstrong. Do you follow players? This is a topic for maybe tomorrow. Do you follow players that were your draft picks you just let go for nothing?
Covino
Not really, no. He's like, just like looking at stocks that you were going to buy and you.
Danny G
But the Mets just gave him up for nothing. And to think that that guy could have been in the Mets lineup is ridiculous.
Covino
Anyway, that's tough tonight. Tonight is your night, bro.
Danny G
Knicks. And we're hoping game five of the Garden is electric for multiple reasons. Right. You want a little more Ernie, Shaq, Kenny and Charles Barkley. Maybe, you know, this weekend a final farewell. Maybe, you know, you see him one more time. But I think it gives us something to watch this weekend. Otherwise, selfishly, there's so many reasons otherwise. You have a week of waiting around for the NBA Finals for a series that isn't highly anticipated. So we'll be waiting around for seven days to see what?
Covino
I mean, Indiana reasons. Yeah, you don't want to. You would rather see OKC and the Knicks. I would. But then again, you know, it's cool to see young teams stepping up and playing big. That's coming from an east coast perspective.
Danny G
But I my hot take is that no matter who wins, Indiana or the Knicks, I think it benefits them to go six or seven games because I think a momentum I played two days ago team is the only chance either of those teams have against okc. Because okc, you might catch them a little cold sitting around for eight. They've had a sit around for over a week. So you get an OKC team sitting around for over a week, you might say, well, you know, you get tired too much playing. I think at this stage of the game, a Pacers or Knicks team that wins six or seven games, it has a better chance than a team that's sitting around.
Covino
So root for the Knicks or else we say goodbye to them and the TNT run.
Danny G
All right, well, we'll see you guys on Over Promise in a few Areva Dare you, baby.
Covino
See you in the over promised land.
Danny G
Let's go.

Shifting focus, Covino and Rich delve into how different television shows influence children's behavior and mood. Covino emphasizes the calming effect of classic shows:
"It changes their behavioral patterns where they're more relaxed... It puts them in that relaxed, sedated sort of state." [05:24]
Danny G adds:

"If they lose tonight, it's over inside." [02:04]
The hosts discuss strategic insights, such as momentum shifts and team stamina, predicting that a close game could lead to an intense seven-game series:
"Anything could happen. Momentum could shift. Someone can get hurt... it could get wild, it could get crazy." [20:21]
This segment caters to the sports aficionados, providing timely analysis and fostering excitement around the Knicks' playoff aspirations.
In the closing segment, Covino and Rich pivot to Major League Baseball, focusing on Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto, two standout players influencing their respective teams.
Covino praises Lindor's leadership and relatability:
"He's a likable guy... He was really stepping up, especially coming off a season where he didn't play his best last year." [36:35]
Danny G contrasts Lindor with Soto, expressing concerns about Soto's current performance:
"If June's not where he bats .400 and hits 15 home runs, you better shape up Soto." [37:05]
The hosts highlight Lindor's authentic connection with teammates, enhancing team morale:
"He goes up to his teammates, like, how you doing today? Like, how you doing?" [38:06]
In contrast, Soto's struggles are discussed with a touch of humor:
