Last week was our first playoff game and my plaque psoriasis was so itchy under all my gear. Sometimes just thinking about scratching could take me out of the moment. And then my doctor told me I could get clearer skin with a pill called Otezla.
Brady Quinn
Otzla Epremilast is a prescription medicine used to treat adult patients with plaque psoriasis for whom phototherapy or systemic therapy is appropriate. Otzla can help you get clearer skin after just four months.
Jonas Knox
Okay, ready for the next game? Talking to my doctor about a pill was a total game changer.
Brady Quinn
Don't use OTLA if you're allergic to it. Get medical help right away if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat or arms, severe diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, depression, suicidal thoughts or weight loss can happen. Tell your doctor if any of these occur and if you have a history of depression or suicidal thoughts. Live in the moment. Ask your doctor about Otesla. Call 1-844-4-OTLA or visit otesla.com for prescribing info, info about cost and more.

LeVar Arrington
Now let's get this party started.
Jonas Knox
You're listening to FOX Sports Radio. Oh yeah, it's the heard Fox Sports Radio. Levar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here filling in on this Wednesday for Colin and company as we take you all the way out.
LeVar Arrington
Trying to breathe through it.
Jonas Knox
That body shot from Brady, I can't.
LeVar Arrington
Believe he took a shot at me like that. That was real low. I just said he was bad at picking plays rough. Man, you going to hit me with hell at the end.
Brady Quinn
I just, I didn't really know what you were expecting.
LeVar Arrington
I mean, I, the, the Brady I know from Thursday in New Orleans would not have done that to me. He would have not gone that low. That was pretty low. That was an.
Brady Quinn
Trying to be a dual threat quarterback. That's all. That's all I'm trying to do.
LeVar Arrington
That was more than a dual. That was like multi dimensional threat. That was bad. Okay.
Jonas Knox
You know, you know, it was a dual threat quarterback. Oh, who Justin Fields?
LeVar Arrington
Thought she was going to say Jonas Knox. No, I mean y'all, y'all kind of.
Jonas Knox
Comparable me and Justin Fields, which I wish. But unfortunately, Justin Fields, you know, maybe the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't the only place that might have some interest in retaining him. According to Jeremy Fowler, vspn, the jets and Justin Fields have mutual interest. The jets like the idea of, quote, a dual threat quarterback. And Fields has looked at the roster and sees some intrigue there. So if this is a long term play, I kind of get it. If it's just a short term play, I don't know how this is a better option than Aaron Rodgers would be on a short term. I just don't know.
Brady Quinn
I mean, I look at it too and think to myself again, I said this to you guys earlier this week, I like continuity. So if you're Pittsburgh, for example, you know, you know, Arthur Smith's system, if you're Justin Fields, you know, the personnel, your best bet is to try to, you know, win over that team to be the guy and be a part of a franchise that's had a ton of success and with the coach who's had a ton of success with Mike Tomlin, to me, like, that's. That's your best path forward in trying to resurrect and being a starting quarterback in the NFL. When you start jumping from team to team to team, they're all looking for a quick fix. And it's so rare that it happens, and it's so rare that, you know, guys have the talent and the ability and, and, and there's some luck involved. Like, like, let's be honest, there's some luck involved. And I don't care if we're talking about hall of Famers either. When they've transitioned from different teams, there's always a little bit of luck involved so that it ends up working out. I mean, if you think about Peyton, like, Peyton was coming off a neck injury. That's why the Colts moved on from him. They ended up stinking that year to go get Andrew Luck. But when he got the Denver, there was no guarantees he was going to be able to physically be the same player that he was. He had a perfect team. Greek, who's the trainer there? Greg Ross. Coffee does mat all these other people who, like, were around Dr. Leahy who did art. There were so many different resources there with the Broncos that, that if he was going to have like any shot of ever being what he was during Indianapolis before the next surgeries, that team, that roster, everything else that was there probably gave him the best shot, and I think he knew that. So, you know, there's. There's a, There's a little bit of luck, there's a little bit of, you know, everything else that went along with it that eventually led to him, you know, winning into the super bowl, playing an extremely high level. But in regards to Justin Fields, the grass can always look greener somewhere else. I mean, look at the roster. Look at some of the town on there. Okay, well, what do you know about the offense? What do you know about the play caller? You know, do you have any experience with that? Do you want to learn a new system? So there's so many things that play a factor, a role in that. And I think what's interesting about it is, you know, Arthur Smith likes having a dual threat style quarterback. Well, you've, you know, you've got your guy right there. Because, because in the same report we were saying Justin Fields likes the Jets. Meanwhile, he's just spent a year with the Pittsburgh Steelers there's another report that comes out and says, well, Daniel Jones looks like he could be a fit in Pittsburgh and they really like him. Why? Well, because he's got some dual threatability to him. Right. And Arthur Smith likes that. It's like, well, you've got a guy there, like, would you rather have Daniel Jones or Justin Fields? I personally would rather have Justin Fields. To me, I don't care what anyone wants to show with Danny Dimes, I think Fields has more upside. So it's just, it's kind of ironic that we hear all these reports, things floating around and it's like musical chairs of quarterbacks. But like, dude, just stay put. Like grow, grow in the place you're at, man. Keep watering that, that area, that garden.
Jonas Knox
Yeah, that one doesn't make any sense to me.
Brady Quinn
The.
Jonas Knox
And that was Andrew Filiponi's report from the fan in Pittsburgh who said, yeah, they, they like the idea of Daniel Jones in Pittsburgh. I just, I don't know why. If you've already got to your point, a guy in Justin Fields who's been there, who reportedly, if you believe some of these other, the other stuff that's come out, there were a lot of people there that preferred him over Russell Wilson, that it was Mike Tomlin who ultimately made the call. But a lot of people that wanted to see them stick with Justin Fields at quarterback. Last year he got along much better with Arthur Smith than Russell Wilson did. Why not just stay there and instead we got the jets being thrown out, Daniel Jones being mentioned in Pittsburgh. It just. Some of these just don't add up to me. It doesn't make sense.
LeVar Arrington
I'll say Justin Fields was protecting the ball and in his starts for the Steelers, I think he only had one interception during his time starting. But there maybe were only one or two performances where you would say, do you, do you trust that he can come in and be the guy that, that leads your. Your offense? Is, is it, is it, is it a decision that you make bringing him into New York where you do say it is your, it is your personnel that would make it easier on him. You do have a breeze hall in the backfield that can run the ball and that could take a lot of pressure off of, off of Justin Fields having to throw the ball. And by the way, if you're able to implement the type of read read pass option like you've done in Philadelphia, I mean having Lazard and Wilson, I, I doubt Adams will be back. But you never know. He. Maybe he comes back, but you do have A really, really fine group of, of receivers and a fine running back and breeze in New York. I do think personnel wise, Justin Fields, if used correctly, would have a better opportunity of having more success than what he would in Pittsburgh, where I, I, I like Najee Davenport, but I just, or Najee Harris, but I just do not feel as though he's that difference maker that we thought he would transition into being into at the league level. We, we have the conversations about Pickens. You know, the other guys you got Jeff Van Jefferson, Roman Wilson, Mike Williams. I mean, you have guys that, that are serviceable guys. Friarmouth is a guy at tight end. You can depend on Friarmouth. But I just don't look at this, this, this personnel grouping as one that was conducive to Russell Wilson or, or Justin Fields having, having proper success or adequate opportunities to have success. So to me, I know it's not always greener on the other side, and you do have one year under your belt being in Pittsburgh. But if I could get to a team like New York and they're going to take a chance on me, this is probably his last chance to really legitimately be a starter in this league anyway, outside of any type of extraordinary circumstances. I might take the chance on seeing what I could get done going into the New York market and playing there with that personnel.
Jonas Knox
I mean, Pittsburgh just feels like they're Dallas, afc, they're just, you know, they're, they're, they'll be contending for a playoff spot and that's just about it. Like, there's no serious threat that they're going to make a run. Like in that division, in that conference, there's just no real threat they're going to make a run.
LeVar Arrington
You don't have a quarterback. If you're, if you're questioning who your quarterback is right now, how do you have the ability to, to compete for and one of the toughest, if not toughest divisions in all of the NFL.
Jonas Knox
I mean, this is going to be three straight years. Pittsburgh is going into the season with a brand new starter. Like, it's, you know, it was Kenny Pickett, then it was Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, whatever last year was. And then this year it looks like, you know, if you believe this report, if it's not going to be Russell Wilson, if he's gone, then, you know, there goes your continuity out the window because you've got a new quarterback that's going to be taken over. Pittsburgh just feels, I just don't know.
LeVar Arrington
What that continuity has led to, you know, and Now I think that again, I thought that the seat was warming up for Mike Tomlin this past season. I think it gets really, really hot if, if they don't have more success this season, which is crazy to say, like, because what's more success, they, they win and they make it to the playoffs. But I just think that winning and playoffs maybe may have run its course in terms of a justification for, for Mike Tomlin as the head coach. And there's now starting to be a little bit more criticisms levied towards Mike Tomlin and what he, his ability to lead this team, what that looks like moving forward. And, and I, I gotta say, maybe even as an analyst or maybe even as a fan, I don't know which one falls under, but I almost feel like it's getting to the point where it's, it's warranted. Like you gotta find stability and what it is that you're doing. I, I thought it was an interesting.
Jonas Knox
Oh, you want him fired?
LeVar Arrington
No, I don't. I thought, I thought.
Jonas Knox
Was that Lee on Twitter.
LeVar Arrington
I thought it was an interesting, an interesting experiment to do what you did with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson. But I also, in some regard, I feel as though you chopped out the legs from under both of them in this scenario. I don't know that either one of them had a fair opportunity to be successful under the circumstances of knowing that you brought in a former starter from a different team and you guys are on prove it deals this year. I just don't know. And it didn't turn out that it was positive. I mean, they didn't go very far. So I don't know. I think the, the hot seat is, is. Is. The seat is. Is hot this year for Mike Tomlin.
Brady Quinn
It feels like teams hedge and in this case that was essentially what they did by bringing them both in. Even though, I mean, all along it sounded like Mike Tomlin knew Russell would be the guy when he was ready. And then he had the calf injury, which occurred what, in preseason, like late in training camp?
Jonas Knox
Yeah.
Brady Quinn
And at that point, especially when they, you could see him kind of out moving around for the, some of the pregame warm ups. Like I remember first seeing him going, like there's no way he's anywhere close to playing at this point. I mean, it was going to be at least a month, if not more, and it happened to coincide with maybe a downturn for the Steelers and what they're looking for an uptick in their offense. And look, it worked. I mean, say whatever you want for that period of time. When Russell Wilson came in and started, all of a sudden the deep ball came back, as Pete Briscoe would call it, the moon ball. Whatever he wants to say, it's effective. And it felt like he gave that offense and that team a spark. Now, that crashed at the end of the season and for whatever reason, I mean, again, there was other reasons other than just quarterback play. You know, Pickens struggled to consistently, you know, play a role in impact like I think he can. But you go back to the initial conversation, it's almost like going into the whole deal, they were trying to attack it in two ways. Kind of a young promising guy with upside and fields, but then a vet, a proven veteran, and a guy maybe who has a chip on his shoulder who they could get for cheap as well. Instead of just putting all their eggs in one basket, they kind of hedged on it and it's kind of how the season went, really.
Jonas Knox
In a nutshell, would you guys take wherever Aaron Rodgers ends up and because obviously part of the discussion was the jets and them have an interest in Justin Fields. Would you guys take next year team to finish with a better record, the jets or whatever team Rogers ends up with? Because I'll take whatever team Rogers ends up with.
LeVar Arrington
That's not saying that Aaron Rodgers is going to start where he goes.
Jonas Knox
If he's a starter, would you next year he's a better team.
Brady Quinn
Yeah, Rogers, wherever Rogers goes.
Jonas Knox
Because the jets may be interested in Justin Fields. I know this one fact about the Jets. Whatever decision they make is going to be the wrong one.
Brady Quinn
That's what's funny about this though is lavar, in a year where like you get Rogers back healthy, they have another year to make the roster look better. This team brings on Devonte Adams. At no point did lavar ever want to get on that bandwagon because he kept preaching dysfunction. He was right. He was right. Ultimately, he was right. But now you're actually pausing and giving this some thought. Yeah.
Jonas Knox
What gives?
Brady Quinn
That somehow the Jets. Somehow the jets have ridded themselves.
LeVar Arrington
No.
Brady Quinn
Of the dysfunction that you talked about for so long and they don't even have a quarterback.
LeVar Arrington
I'll say this, I do not rid them of the dysfunction. They were a 5 and 12 team. I said they would finish less than 10 victories. I think they finished with less than 10 victories this upcoming season as well. But there's the chance that they may. That Aaron Rodgers may catch on to a team that is in just as poor condition as the. Well, the way the jets are being ran, that's. That's all I'm saying. I don't, I don't necessarily think that. I don't necessarily think that, that it's based upon the jets reading themselves of anything. I, I think Aaron Glenn has his work cut out for him for certain. And. But there are teams out there that he can end up with that could possibly be in poor, poor condition, poorer conditions then, you know, than the New York Jets.
Jonas Knox
I'll tell you this right now, Tennessee is one of the worst teams in the league. If Rogers ended up with the Titans, I would take the Titans to have a better record next year in the Jets.
LeVar Arrington
See, I don't. There's certain teams. I'm just not. I'm not.
Jonas Knox
It's like we're on escalators in a mall and Brady and I are going in your direction going, hey, we're here and you're going the other way now. Like, what's happening here?
LeVar Arrington
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I just, I don't think that it's responsible to say that they're going like, whoever you're taking. I think the Cleveland Browns could stink again next year. Stink even more epically than what they did this year.
Jonas Knox
By the way, Rogers on Cleveland would be sweet, I think.
LeVar Arrington
No, no, no. England could stink. Even though I like, I like Rabel, they could stink, definitely. Jacksonville, they could stink really bad. The Vegas Rams, they could stink. Or the Vegas Raiders, they could stink. I mean, the Carolina Panthers, I'll take.
Jonas Knox
Anybody, any team in the NFL.
LeVar Arrington
I'm not, I'm not any, any teams outside of the top 10 teams picking in the draft, the Chicago Bears on down. I would say they stand the, the chance of having a worse season than the New York Jets.
Jonas Knox
Yeah, I will take that bet.
LeVar Arrington
Now, anybody outside of that first 10. Yeah, I'll take them. I'll say they'll have a better year with Aaron Rodgers. But like, okay, San Fran, they could have a really, really fine year. They add Aaron Rodgers. Where else are you at in Aaron Rodgers? The Colts, they could have a finer year. 100%. Where else is he going? Where else? Where else?
Jonas Knox
I mean, those are.
LeVar Arrington
Where else is he going?
Jonas Knox
Pittsburgh is potential landing.
LeVar Arrington
Pittsburgh would have a better year.
Jonas Knox
Some speculation maybe if, if Stafford and the Rams part ways, maybe Rodgers to the Rams.
LeVar Arrington
They would have a, they would have a better year. Now that's, that's more specific. And they would have a better season.
Jonas Knox
I'm saying, I don't care who it is. It could be the Stampeders. Nah, I ain't doing that I'll take Rogers.
LeVar Arrington
I'm not doing that. You. You took Rogers this year.
Jonas Knox
Yeah. Yeah, that's right.
LeVar Arrington
Okay.
Jonas Knox
And look where it got us.
LeVar Arrington
Five wins.
Jonas Knox
Look where it got. It got us in a net.
LeVar Arrington
Do I go back to. You want to use Notre Dame now, too? Because I'm going at you.
Jonas Knox
Yeah, I got it.
LeVar Arrington
You want to leverage something.
Jonas Knox
Our support of Aaron Rodgers got us in a Netflix documentary.
LeVar Arrington
Okay, well, that is.
Brady Quinn
I mean, you.
LeVar Arrington
Which you were.
Brady Quinn
You're really. I mean, no one really knows that until you bring it up.
Jonas Knox
Episode three, Enygma.
Brady Quinn
What. What. What exactly did you say? Jonas? I guarantee you'll know the quote.
Jonas Knox
I really don't. I don't know. It was something about him working out and the criticism of Roger Mushrooms and Keebler elf houses.
Brady Quinn
Who did you pay off to somehow include yourself as part of that documentary?
Jonas Knox
I didn't even know. And nobody told.
Brady Quinn
There was something that happened. There had to have been some favors that were done or something.
Jonas Knox
I mean, I will say this. Where he was working out. The facility he was working out in was in Westlake Village, which is the neighboring town to Thousand Oaks, where I reside. So just. I think it's just coincidence, but I think the support of Aaron Rodgers from us has gotten us in a Netflix documentary, which. That this should be thrown in the IMDb. Lee, your big.
Brady Quinn
Speaking of that, didn't you say, like, you started, like, an adult film somewhere around there, and then you segued into sports talk radio?
Jonas Knox
Yeah. The big difference between Chatsworth and then Westlake Village, like, there's a huge difference. And I don't know if any of that work would be included in an IMDb either.
Brady Quinn
I thought you had to start at, like, one level or one, you know, side of that work, and then you get to go to the other side eventually.
Jonas Knox
Is that what it is?
Brady Quinn
Yeah, that's what you told me.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah.
Jonas Knox
Okay, here's. All right, let me go ahead. You will toss up the alley.
LeVar Arrington
Oop.
Jonas Knox
I was part of the cleanup crew, and then we'll go as that. We start there, and we just slowly build. That's where the resume started in Chatsworth. All right, again, this is the unprofessionalism that really is troubling from time to time. Lee, you're one of these loser Hollywood movie fans.
Lee Delap
Thank you.
Jonas Knox
Yes. With the Oscars coming up, which will be eating up way too much time on our show during the week in our normal time slot. But IMDb, can you go in there and edit it yourself? Can you create one by yourself. Is it like a Wikipedia or is that because I would like to go in there and have everybody from our show be able to credit Enigma on Netflix. As part of our IMDb page.
Lee Delap
There is a process where you create your own IMDb profile and then you get approved by the administrator. The administrators and they. They let you work on certain projects. They let you edit your. Your page.
Jonas Knox
See? All right, there you go. So let's. Let's start efforting that. Get an IMDb boss.
Lee Delap
Working on it.
Jonas Knox
Yeah. Brady's and Wendy's commercials. Levar was in a car commercial, a.
LeVar Arrington
Famous car commercial back in the day.
Jonas Knox
You do you got one?
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, I have a.
Jonas Knox
Hell yeah.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, I have a pick.
Jonas Knox
First place. Stick City.
Brady Quinn
What movie?
LeVar Arrington
The Gentleman's League. WWE Raw. NFL. Monday Night Football. NFL on Fox. I'll kick the covers. I'll make it on there. I don't know. I guess I've done a lot of things.
Jonas Knox
That's when we were. We didn't have our name. We were filling in for. For Clay Travis when they were making the decision on the permanent replacement for the show. I think that's what that was from.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, okay. Maybe that's what it was.
Jonas Knox
What does it say there?
LeVar Arrington
We ended up taking. It doesn't have Jonas Knox on there, though.
Jonas Knox
Undercard for the Jonas Knock show right there.
LeVar Arrington
That says 2021. We've been together that long.
Jonas Knox
Undercard for the JKS right there.
LeVar Arrington
It doesn't say that.
Brady Quinn
Yeah, it's been a long time.
LeVar Arrington
Say that. Yeah. Yeah. So to the foolish dude that tweeted yesterday that I had to turn that ass off. I don't like calling down her, but I definitely didn't like listening to those guys. Kiss my ass. Kiss my ass. All right.
Jonas Knox
Thank you. All right. Okay.
LeVar Arrington
That is not a dumpable offense either, by the way. I know my rules. I mean, I tow my line. I know my rules. And he is that Ryan and Lee.
Jonas Knox
Are just trying to hold their breath for three hours after what Ryan did before the show in the other studio.
LeVar Arrington
Well, he likes tossed salads with jelly.
Brady Quinn
Who eats a salad with jelly?
LeVar Arrington
I use ranch, sir. Apparently Chris Rock does.
Jonas Knox
I'm going to. It is the herd here on Fox Sports Radio. Levar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox in for Colin coming up next year, though, we do have a money making opportunity, a pen potentially in the NFL involving two new coaches. We'll get into that for you right here on FSR. One more herd. The herd streams 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within the. IHEARTRADIO app Search Herd to listen live or on demand whenever you'd like.

Lee Delap
The first interview I've done in bed.
Mark Seal
We sift through innumerable accounts. 35 pages isn't very much, many of them conflicting.
Jonas Knox
That's nonsense.
Mark Seal
There were 60 pages and try to get to the truth of what really happened and they said we're finished.
Jonas Knox
This is over. It's not going to work.
Brady Quinn
Dare get rid of those guys.
Mark Seal
This is that Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli features new and archival interviews with Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Evans, James Caan, Talia Scheyer and many others.

Jonas Knox
It is the Herd here on fox Sports Radio. LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you in for calling. Coming up here. A little over 15 minutes from now, we will have another edition of the Herdline News starring Lee Dalap who has yet to give us any information about exactly how yesterday went. It was a big day for lead to lap and apparently it's going to be a big day for one of the greatest of all time. He could be on his way to the NFL. So we've got some details, details for you on that. Now you can go on to a fine establishment, a fine place like DraftKings if you want. You can go on there and you can find all sorts of peeks into the future when it comes to money making opportunities like for example to win the MVP next year. Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen neck and neck at plus 550. If you want to look at comeback player of the year aiden Hutchinson at 2 to 1 coming off that injury. Christian McCaffrey sitting at 3 to 1 and then he can also go to coach of the year for right now. Mike Vrabel and Ben Johnson are your current favorites at +7.50. Twin coach of the year, which feels like pretty decent return. Mike Vrabel and Ben Johnson feels like a pretty, pretty decent return at +7.50. If you think those guys are going to be the answer to fixing whatever the mess was there in either New England or Chicago and they've got the young quarterback to do so. So you might want to jump on that here.
Brady Quinn
That was this was going to be my question, is this more about the faith in them as coaches to to get Both these teams turned back around, or does it have to do with the roster or more importantly the quarterbacks? Because they both have young quarterbacks, promising young quarterbacks. And that's what I really feel like this is about. This is about Drake May, Caleb Williams taking that next step in their second year, based off what we've seen so far in their rookie years and having that sort of improvement where, you know, you look at Jay Daniel season, had a great season. Obviously there's, there's still room for improvement, but you know, Drake May and Caleb Williams, if they improve, you know, they've got a little more room for improvement. So it looked like a bigger jump, I guess. And that's what I think these odds are about. It's more about the quarterback play on both those teams, more so than it is anything that Mike Vrabel or Ben Johnson will do. And I, I think the other thing too, on that note is that it's a bit unfair that like, guys like Andy Reid and Sirianni who you'd say, okay, like, Siani's got, they got some guys who they'll lose, but they've built up rosters. Howie Roseman's done a great job. Like, they'll be right back competitive, probably the favorites in the super bowl or the favorite to at least win the nfc. Same thing for Kansas City. And yet you don't hear Andy Reid and Nick Sirianni's names at the top of these lists. And that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, I agree. I don't. I do. To answer the question, I definitely think it has to do with both. The biggest factors are they do have a franchise caliber, draft, high drafty quarterback. But it's also the, the coaching reputation of, of both that makes them front runners in this scenario. But I, I just got to be honest with you, I. When you look at these teams and, and what they have, like, okay, I like, I like what, what the Chicago Bears have. Caleb Williams did not have a bad season. I continue to say that. Like, it's almost like we're looking at Caleb and we're, and it's like, well, you know, he could have done better. Like, I don't know how he could have done much better. His numbers are very comparable to Jaden Daniels who won Rookie of the year offense. Rookie of the year. Now he's off on a couple, like maybe total yards or whatever it may be. But I mean, I, I feel like his, his stat line was, was pretty solid throwing. He set a record. I mean, he Threw for the most yards ever for what, a rookie quarterback and, and Bears history. I. I just, you know.
Jonas Knox
Well, I mean, that's not.
LeVar Arrington
That's not saying much.
Jonas Knox
Like, you know, I have.
LeVar Arrington
Well, he threw for a lot of yards, but I just. I just. I just don't think that it gets. These situations that these two franchises have found themselves in. I don't think the, the situation gets rectified in year one by either one of these coaches, no matter how good they are, no matter how good Mike Vrabel has been, no matter how good Ben Johnson has called games. That's not. You're not going to be in the same situation, even though you're in the same division. You're not going to be in the same setup that you were when you had the comfort and ability to just call plays and Detroit. So.
Jonas Knox
But to be Coach of the Year, there's also kind of an underlying prerequisite for the most part. Like, you had to have sucked the year before. And New England and Chicago both qualified. They were bad the year before. They just fired their previous coach. And so those guys stepping into a roster with talented quarterbacks and with, with, you know, talented pieces around him. Yeah, that, that's, that's why it would make sense because if you really wanted to hand the award out for best coach, like, I mean, you could find coaches who had made deep playoff runs. Like, Stefanski won it twice. Well, he won it twice because the year prior they weren't good. And so I just. I feel like the Coach of the year odds is kind of skewed towards. Yeah, to, to Brady's point. Like, it's, it's a team that wasn't very good. And often the guys, because of it's. You're just used to it or you've got fatigue by it are kind of overlooked. Because if that was the case, Belichick should have won it 15 times during his run in New England.
Brady Quinn
Well, yeah, but that's the problem when you have Tom Brady or if you're Andy Reid and you have Patrick Mahomes, is you never really get all the credit. Right? I mean, those players can win MVPs, those players can win, you know, offensive Player of the year awards, but you can't share in that as a coach. Like, that's kind of the crappy thing about it. And I think it's kind of like Phil Jackson. Like, Phil Jackson is obviously a phenomenal coach, and he is because of the success that he's had. But granted, he's had some of the all time, greatest ever, obviously. Jordan, Kobe, etc, But it's not like that's easy to keep all that together, you know, all the different egos, everything.
LeVar Arrington
Else, that's a harder job, I would assume. Yeah.
Brady Quinn
Oh, think about, I mean, even Steve Kerr with a different, you know, run that they had in Golden State, and the different personalities he had on that team. Like, just because you've. You've got all those weapons, all that talent, all that skill, that doesn't mean you're. They're all gonna be able to put it together to be able to equate to success. And there is something to the coach's impact on that. So I, I don't know. I just. I hate when I see odds like that that come out and immediately we just kind of point and turn to, well, their team stunk last year. They've got young quarterbacks, they just took over these places, so they should see the biggest jump in improvement. It's like, well, okay, I mean, I was just going to discount then teams that end up going, what, 15 and two or a team that goes 16 and one. Right. I mean, we wanted to give him.
LeVar Arrington
He should have got it this year. I mean, let's be clear. Dan Campbell, with what he overcame to get to where he was ultimately at one game away from the divisional championship, with all the injuries, I. I thought it was hands down that Dan Campbell should get it. Now, I get what happened in Minnesota was amazing. I get that I get in a couple other places is amazing. But Dan Campbell clearly showed a resiliency as a coach, the ability to be able to be flexible and adapt to what his given scenarios were as a coach. And what he doesn't get it, I don't. I just don't understand. Again, I. The whole of the year awards, I, I'm. I'm totally thrown off and confused by the approach of it, by what the voters are looking for and what they want.
Brady Quinn
All right, so look, I guess the point. What I'm saying is we don't. It doesn't go both ways. We don't look at the MVP and go, he's got a hell of a coach. I mean, should we really. Should we really, you know, be thinking about that? But we look at a coach that way and maybe you say it's like, well, because, you know, the coach is the one that's going to receive the most, you know, I guess appreciation from the talent that he has around, that's fine, but he still plays his role, too.
Jonas Knox
Just on the note of odds that you can Find for these awards on DraftKings. Just like, honest question for comeback player of the year, why is J.J. mcCarthy on the list at plus 750? He hasn't played yet in the NFL. Like, he's like. He's never took a snap. So what is like, coming back from what?
Brady Quinn
He's on a team. He got hurt and he did play in the preseason, technically, yeah.
Jonas Knox
But he never played in a regular season game.
Brady Quinn
He's battling through not playing Jonas.
Jonas Knox
Okay.
Brady Quinn
That's what he's battling.
Jonas Knox
Anthony Richardson at 35 to 1. What's he coming back from? Taking a. Taking a knee and opting out of a game.
Brady Quinn
Yeah, I thought it was some seriousness.
Jonas Knox
But, yeah, I just, like. I don't know. There's just. Yeah, some of this stuff doesn't. Doesn't exist.
Brady Quinn
There needs to be more of a defined. A defined criteria for whatever that is for comeback player of the year.
LeVar Arrington
I think for any of them.
Brady Quinn
Too great.
LeVar Arrington
I think for any of them.
Jonas Knox
Which ought to tell you how great Joe Flacco was that he won over demar Hamlin, who almost died on the field. Like the year before.
LeVar Arrington
Demar Hamlin was still up for the award this year, correct?
Jonas Knox
Probably.
LeVar Arrington
I think he was. Come on, man. Like, when, when, when has enough time going by, will he be up for next year residuals, you know? Come on, man.
Jonas Knox
Come on.
LeVar Arrington
I don't know, man, because the whole awards, I told y'all, my whole rundown on the awards this year was this trash, man. The awards were trash this year, period.
Jonas Knox
All I know is that Lee Dilap and I walked by where they were having the awards at that theater in New Orleans. And it was, I think, two days before the event. And they look like they were not ready to go at all. Like they had scaffolding out. You had people loitering outside, people sleeping on the streets in New Orleans. Beautiful place, though.
Brady Quinn
Let's not miss the real story. What was Lee drinking with him while you guys were walking by the venue?
Jonas Knox
That was actually after we went. We went to Grenade. No.
Brady Quinn
Did you have hand grenade?
Jonas Knox
No, not nothing at all. Because remember, we went to dinner that night at the Italian place where we saw Howie Roseman? What the hell was that name? Demonica? Yeah, that too, but.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, that one too.
Brady Quinn
Wait, I thought you said you didn't go out with him after that.
Jonas Knox
No, no. We walked back to go see that church that was nearby. There was a church nearby. I wanted to go see it. So we walked over around the corner. And then as we walked back, it Was like, oh, there's that theater where they're going to have the award show. And it was not built.
LeVar Arrington
The bigger story here is what Lee is doing in the control room right now. That is the bigger story.
Lee Delap
Payback from yesterday.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, payback from. He's going a little overboard.
Brady Quinn
Okay. I got to be honest.
Lee Delap
Hey, man, what did you eat?
LeVar Arrington
Dang.
Lee Delap
Mess with the bowl, you're going to get the horns.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, wow.
Jonas Knox
Welcome to the big league, Brian.
LeVar Arrington
I mean, there is a lot of suffering going. Like half the Lysol can is gone now. You know?
Lee Delap
You know it's bad when you can't take your own, Your own cologne, your own scent.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, you need a man pawn.
Brady Quinn
That's what you need.
LeVar Arrington
Hey, it's bad back there.
Lee Delap
Taco Tuesday yesterday.
LeVar Arrington
Lee. Lee will get flatulence.
Lee Delap
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that helped.
LeVar Arrington
You did get banked up yesterday, huh?
Lee Delap
I did a little bit, yeah.
LeVar Arrington
With Todd.
Lee Delap
Yeah.
LeVar Arrington
How'd that go? Tell us how that went. Good.
Jonas Knox
We.
Lee Delap
We went for Taco Tuesday. I skipped the movie because I had already seen it. They went to go see Captain Captain America and then. Which was awful, by the way.
Jonas Knox
And actually good for you, Lee.
Brady Quinn
Lee. Why was it awful? Yeah. Oh, the new one.
Lee Delap
Yeah.
Brady Quinn
With Anthony Matthew.
LeVar Arrington
Cause Captain America. What? Why?
Lee Delap
It's boring.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, he was boring.
Brady Quinn
Actually a different B word.
Jonas Knox
What else?
Brady Quinn
What else?
Jonas Knox
What else is he.
LeVar Arrington
He's black.
Jonas Knox
Damn.
LeVar Arrington
He is black.
Lee Delap
He is black.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah.
Lee Delap
Also boring. Humorless.
LeVar Arrington
It was.
Lee Delap
It was bad movies.
LeVar Arrington
Captain America.
Brady Quinn
Wait, you. Yeah. You went to Captain America for a comedy? Like, what's wrong with you?
Lee Delap
It's a Marvel movie. There should be some comedy in there. Should be a little bit of light hearted. It took itself way too seriously.
LeVar Arrington
Dang. Yeah.
Jonas Knox
Why would he watch. Why would you watch Captain America? We watch Captain Morgan.
LeVar Arrington
How was the Red Hulk? Right. Was the Red Hulk good in the movie?
Lee Delap
Yeah, he was.
LeVar Arrington
Exactly.
Lee Delap
But he only five minutes at the end of the movie.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, exactly. But the Red Hulk was good. It was good. His character was good movie.
Lee Delap
Yeah, it's not a good movie. Anyway, yeah, we. I skipped the movie, had a few drinks while they went into the movie.
LeVar Arrington
How many Rotten Tomatoes are you giving it?
Lee Delap
50%.
LeVar Arrington
Dang. Interesting.
Lee Delap
Not great. I actually got up and I like when I went and saw it. The first time I got up and went to go get a drink. That's how bad it was. Although I. I do that anyway.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, but the same people that don't.
Brady Quinn
Like that movie are the same people that didn't like the super bowl halftime Show. They look exactly the same.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, wow. They're not like us. They're not like us. They're not like us. Dang. Up top, Br. Up top.
Jonas Knox
So, Lee, you skipped the movie and you just went to Taco Tuesday? Got throttled.
Lee Delap
Yeah. Went to Taco Tuesday. I think we went to an ar. We did go to an arcade next door after.
LeVar Arrington
Did you fish?
Brady Quinn
Stop skipping over what you drank, what you consume.
LeVar Arrington
What did you consume?
Lee Delap
When I was out, I just had a few beers, but, you know, I had few. Few homemade cocktails before I went out.
LeVar Arrington
What do you mean? What were they?
Lee Delap
Vodka. Vodka?
Jonas Knox
What are you so hesitant for? Because there's people out.
Lee Delap
Yeah, it was vodka.
Jonas Knox
Wait, did you black out yesterday?
Lee Delap
No.
LeVar Arrington
How many times did Danica call you?
Jonas Knox
Oh, no, we're giving our names.
LeVar Arrington
How many times did you get called the missus? My bad.
Lee Delap
A couple times. Like twice.
LeVar Arrington
That was it?
Lee Delap
Yeah. She was out twice. Twice she was out with her girlfriend and she headed back.
LeVar Arrington
So you didn't get calls because she was occupied too.
Lee Delap
She thought I was at home. She, you know, she's like, are you home?
LeVar Arrington
Nope. Where did they go?
Lee Delap
They went to go see Wicked.
Brady Quinn
She didn't come find you?
Lee Delap
No, she was in bed when I got.
LeVar Arrington
They didn't go to the same movie theater you went to?
Lee Delap
Nope.
LeVar Arrington
How far apart were y'all?
Lee Delap
Well, I didn't go to the theater. I didn't go to the movie. Oh, I don't know. I don't know which movie they went to or what theater they went to.
LeVar Arrington
Wow. So you guys really are on, like, good terms.
Lee Delap
Yeah, yeah. Good times, good times.
Jonas Knox
Okay, I give it till Friday.
Brady Quinn
Whatever.
LeVar Arrington
All right.
Jonas Knox

It felt like I told you I loved you. I'm gonna be honest. It was a little pink.
Brady Quinn
There was something sentimental when you.

It's the Herd, Fox Sports Radio. Levar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up top of next hour, a little over 10 minutes from now. So a fun little chat, fun little visit with our buddy, the old P. Petros Papadakis. That'll be yours here again, a little over 10 minutes from now. If you've not heard Petros when he's on with us every single Wednesday morning, we really don't know where it's going to go. But the conversation takes several twists and turns, and next thing you know, you look back and go, are we allowed to say that? So Petros will be here.
LeVar Arrington
Petros knows it. Over 10 minutes, he's on top of. Oh, how outlandish he can be with. With the things he says.
Jonas Knox
I don't know.
LeVar Arrington
I mean, he's been on.
Brady Quinn
You know who's the worst on our show at that?
LeVar Arrington
Who? Jonas? Me.
Brady Quinn
No, me. By far. I. I feel like I've gotten dumped more often. Than not for not having any idea what I can and cannot say. Exactly.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah, it's not. It's okay. I mean, you know, Petros really, really does push the envelope. I mean, it's like.
Brady Quinn
Oh, he does.
LeVar Arrington
It's like playing, like, paper football. You know how you get the touchdown? Like, he definitely gets touchdowns with the paper football. Because this paper be, like, over, off the edge. You know, it's touchdown. Like, boom. Touchdown.
Jonas Knox
Yeah.
LeVar Arrington
Oh, there you go.
Jonas Knox
That's true.
LeVar Arrington
Yeah.
Jonas Knox
Well, I do know this. Can't wait to see that you're listening to us now. Did you know you can also see us? Be sure to check out the fox Sports Radio YouTube channel. Jonas Knox
This is the Herd line news. All right, lead the lap. What do we got?
Lee Delap
Man, I haven't thought about paper football in a while.
LeVar Arrington
It's pretty good. Yeah, this is a fun game.
Lee Delap
Get a game going, guys.
Brady Quinn
Lee, you still gassing things up?
Lee Delap
I am. I just let one go.
LeVar Arrington
Dang. He's back there destroying the air.
Brady Quinn
I'm gonna stab you.
LeVar Arrington
Dang.
Lee Delap
Dang, guys. Floyd Money Mayweather Jr. He wants to get in the NFL business. He's putting together a partnership group with Meyer Orbach, real estate mogul in the realm of $700 million for a 10% stake in the Giants. Orbach already owns 17% stake in the Timberwolves Giants right now estimated to be about $7.5 billion.
Brady Quinn
Yeah, so it looks like they're coming up short of that 10%. But also, those estimations are such crap because if the New York Giants came on the open market, they would probably. Probably closer to 8, 9, maybe 10. I mean, you're talking about the New York Giants, a team in New York. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's the hard thing about all these estimates we see. We talked about it the other day, like, the Bengals, like a $5 billion franchise. And that might be, you know, a little overestimation, but it's an NFL team. They're one of, you know, 31. Excuse me. That you can own. You can't own the Packers. They've got a different ownership structure, but one I would love to see Floyd Mayweather play a role or part in an ownership group. That'd be awesome to see, like, what exactly that would entail.
Jonas Knox
How's his strip club doing. Anybody got any?
LeVar Arrington
Sure, it's going well.
Jonas Knox
Details.
Brady Quinn
I think that's where he got the cash from. What you assume it's doing well, it's a good start.
Lee Delap
He is estimated to be net worth $400 million. Floyd May Wheeler dreams.
LeVar Arrington
For him.
Jonas Knox
I mean, you know, I don't. I. I would think that, you know, his gambling habits might also be a deterrent from wanting him to be involved in the NFL, but, you know, hey, whatever it takes. What else we got, Lee?
Lee Delap
Well, somebody who does know a little something about owning part of a team. Tom Brady. He's taking heat being called disrespectful for the change he's made to his autograph. He started including HOF 2028. To his autograph?
LeVar Arrington
What's wrong with that? That's an inscription. That's not a part. That's not your autograph. It's just. Just an inscription. That's what you get paid for.
Lee Delap
That hasn't been. He hasn't been inducted yet.
LeVar Arrington
So what if there's somebody. Is that the. Is that the year he goes in?
Lee Delap
That will be the year he goes.
LeVar Arrington
Okay, so somebody has a problem with that, that's going to be a more valuable inscription. Don't be a douchebag. Geez, like the dude on X today. You're a D bag. What?
Jonas Knox
What happened now?
LeVar Arrington
I don't know. I just like taking shots at people, that's all. I don't know.
Jonas Knox
Like, they tell Brady and I, we sound great.
LeVar Arrington
Hey, Brian, what's the problem, man? I'm sticking up for us, D. You know what I mean? Come on. Come on, Brian. You heard Jonas. Black History Month is here and we're excited to kick off season four.
