Visit simplisafecollen.com and save 50% on a new system. There's no safe like SimpliSafe. All right, let's bring in the main man, Chris the Bear Felica. I've known this guy for many years. He is a Jets fan, but we won't really talk jets here because who cares about the moribund Jets. Chris first of all, how's your offseason going from college football now?
Chris the Bear Felica
We're doing, we're doing pretty good in the off season here. We're just wrapping up from getting a couple of brutal beats there at the, in the Elite Eight with Texas Tech and a brutal beat in the championship game with Houston. But yeah, we're, we're starting to dive into the, the college football schedules and certainly the, the NFL draft for sure.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah. Chris knows as much about college football as anybody I've ever met, and he's the perfect guy to talk to about this draft. So let's just assume Cam Ward goes number one. I'm kind of sort of obsessed with the Browns. Everybody knows you need a quarterback. The Browns don't have one. It's Shador. Let's just assume there's no trade back Shador, which might be too rich. Or it's Travis Hunter and like maybe we trade in for Shador later or we take Jalen Milro, your favorite quarterback, later or we go after Kirk Cousins. Chris, first of all, what do you think of Shador? And then B, what would you do if you were advising the Browns?
Chris the Bear Felica
I think he's fine. Like I look do I do I think he is a lock guaranteed franchise changing quarterback? No, I don't. But I do think you need to keep in mind with what he did@colorado two years ago, they had one of the worst offensive lines in the country, and last year their offensive line wasn't that much better. I mean, I do think he's a dynamic player. I still, I don't know why I'm still hung up on Cam Ward at number one being a lock. I know I'm not kind of avoiding the question here, kind of circumventing it, but if you're the Titans in your Tennessee and your front office and your coaching staff is in place and you've got your new stadium, I would still think about long and hard about taking Abdul Carter number one, knowing that next year there's a good chance you're going to stink again and you're going to be in position for either Nussmeier or Arch Manning, who would be far and away the number one pick this year. But I think if Ward does go number one, I think if you're the Browns, what I would do, I would take Travis Hunter number two, knowing you've got an impact receiver, defensive back, whatever you want, and then trade back into the end of the first round potentially to get a quarterback or take a quarterback at the top of round two, all Right.
Colin Cowherd
So Chris, you know you and I watch a lot of college football. You're at games every weekend. All season we see Shador Sanders and he's kind of crushing it. I mean 70% accuracy. I know he's a check down artist, but like you said, no offensive line, no run game. And all season we say, oh, he's got to go one or two. He's definitely one of the best players. And now here we are with like three months to chew on it and you know, get in our own heads and suddenly he's like according to Dane Brugler, he's like the 34th best prospect. I saw Bleacher Report. Adam is like a third round pick. Daniel Jeremiah has him as I think the 19th best prospect. Talk about the disconnect between what we saw all season and then what we do in the off season with the film.
Chris the Bear Felica
I really don't know what it is. You hear like one thing with the team and maybe I'm not going to interview, I don't want to go there or whatever it is. That kind of bothers me a little bit because I am so big on what we saw on the field. Yeah. And I don't know how a guy can go from being the favorite to be the number one pick, which he was back in like October or November to being picked. Talked about where he's going to go now. Like if you look at his over under where he's going to go in the draft, it's eight and a half. So obviously the people setting these odds aren't really overreacting that to what you hear about this guy might go 20 or 21 or fall out of the first round completely. I still do think he's going to go very high. I think we're going to have him is going to go will go higher than where most people think he will. I think Jackson Dart will go higher than where most people think he will too because again it only takes one. Teams love these quarterbacks and as a lot of people in the industry say, like you'd rather take the guy and miss than pass on the guy and have him turn out to be great. Whether whatever percentage chance that, that it will be great for that. But I can see still see Shador going potentially very high. Should he even the Giants I think could be in position to take him because they clearly with Russell, Wilson, James, you don't have long term answers at the quarterback position there.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah. Let me, let me ask you, you remember a few years back. Well, more maybe like five or six or seven years. Mitch Trubisky, who had one good year vaulting to be a top five pick. There was another guy, Kenny Pickett. Nobody had ever heard of him. He has one good season, he becomes like the 20th overall pick. I don't want to put Jackson Dart in that category of like coming out of nowhere. But Chris, I mean, listen, all season in the sec, I, I saw a good quarterback. I thought mid round, now there's this. Could he sniff the top 15? And I'm, I, I just again, I have an issue with what I watched all season and then where the pundits are putting him now.
Chris the Bear Felica
Yeah, I think the biggest issue, like you said with Dart is people who watched that Florida game on the road where all Miss had to do was beat a Florida team that was down in the dumps at that point in the air and they would have been in the College Football Playoff. And he struggled immensely in that game. But from everything that I have heard, he's tested off the charts. His interviews have been fantastic. If you're a team like the Steelers who are again are going to be in need of a quarterback, the Steelers are never really in a position to. They never. They're never bad enough where they're taking a quarterback at the top of the draft and they're never good enough where they're contending for a Super Bowl. So I think Dart, where the Steelers are taking that could be something interesting to look at his draft position right now with 24 and a half. I bet the under on that for as much as I could because I don't think there's any way he falls out of like that top position. And 24 has also been a position in the draft where that's viewed as like a trade possible type position with the Vikings who have their quarterback in the future, maybe a team like the Browns or. And someone else might want to trade back into the first round with the Vikings there.
Colin Cowherd
All right, I wanted to warm you up before I just tee you off on Jalen Milroe again for the Milro haters out there. Go turn on the Georgia game and you tell me he's not a potential stud. Then after you're done watching that, go watch the Oklahoma game where he vomited all over himself. I mean, Chris, those interceptions were just like, what is he, what's he looking at? Is this guy a high school quarterback? So Milro. But I can't you go run that 40 tape and he looks like an Adonis. He looks like he could be.
Chris the Bear Felica
Well, that's the thing you run the 40 tape but I mean that's not what the quarterback position is. Even in the Michigan watch the bowl game too where we just looked lost and who knows I mean he got put in a an offense this year which was different from what he was used to when the coaching transition took place from Nick Saban to Kaylin DeBoer and the new offense there. It's hard not to be enamored with the athleticism there but he's not someone that I'm going to be rushing to take in the first round or even high in the second round. May maybe there are quarterback gurus out there and offensive coordinators and schemes out there that can make something of this. But to me it looked like you're looking at a quarterback who, whose best work is done where he's just kind of throwing the ball deep to wide open receivers, running routes, the college, college ranks. So I don't see him as a first round quarterback. Am I rooting for him to succeed? Yes, I root for all these guys to succeed but I'm not quite there. But that's the fact that he got invited to Green Bay leads you to believe that there's a little, where there's a little bit of smoke, there's fire and the NFL obviously must have some, some getting some win there that he will be a strong consideration for the first round.
Colin Cowherd
So that would lean toward. You'd be over two and a half quarterbacks in the first round.
Chris the Bear Felica
Absolutely. Oh I am absolutely over two and a half and I know they posted a big price out there. You gotta lay like $3 to win 100 on over two and a half because you're going to get Cam Ward, you're going to get your door, you're going to get Cam, you're going to get Jackson dart and get a fourth somebody get, get, get frisky and take a Jalen Miller or a Tyler Shock, I don't know. But if you could get over three and a half at a nice plus price, I'll never deter you from making a bet like that. But yeah, we're absolutely getting for you.
Colin Cowherd
If memory serves, Greg Roman was the guy who was hired in San Fran to be the OC for Kaepernick. I think that's what it was. And then he was also the guy in Baltimore with the other Harbaugh brother who spearheaded Lamar Jackson start of his career. So isn't there a world where you find an offensive coordinator who can build an offense around your athletic quarterback because again he's not Lamar Jackson, but remember Lamar Jackson coming out of Louisville? Nobody was thinking two MVP awards and Kaepernick, I only, I know he only had a couple years were of prime but like again, that was a guy who was like, holy hell, this guy's got some game. So isn't there a world where you take Milroe and build the offense around him?
Chris the Bear Felica
Yeah, but again, it's just a question of how high do you want to go. I am always a guy who likes to take the immediate impact player or the guy who you know has a much higher chance of succeeding, whether it be a pass rusher or an offensive lineman or a db. Like a kind of a meat and potatoes type. Draft analysis is kind of how I view viewed by team building. Whereas you got a guy who Maybe there's a 5% chance he's elite, but there's a very high bust rate. So like if you're a team that's got a lot of draft stock and you've got a bunch of second and third round picks and you can afford to take a quarterback like this in the second round and maybe take your chances and you hit, boom, then great. But if you're a team with minimal picks and lots of needs, I certainly think there's a way you can go about it doing it better.
Colin Cowherd
All right, you're a Jets guy, I'm a Jets guy. Justin Fields is the band aid this year. Let's just say shedeurs on the board when the jets are drafting Chris. Do you have to at least consider Shador Sanders at 7 or is that too much noise and it's going to put pressure on Justin Fields and the New York media and all that. Your thoughts?
Chris the Bear Felica
No, you absolutely have to consider it because again, this is a quarterback who had a ton of run in the Bears and the Bears cut the cord knowing that he wasn't the answer. The Steelers had him last year and the Steelers let him go. Like the difference between what the Steelers got him for and what the jets gave up to give him to get him is ridiculous. This is a guy who's not the long term answer. He's a great guy to have as a backup quarterback. Quarterback gets hurt, you need to come in, you need to play a game or two, fine, but he's not your long term answer. I think you would absolutely have to consider him if you're the jets when he's on the board. Ideally for the Jets, I think you're looking at either Tyler Tyler Warren or Colson Loveland. Last year they were very close to taking Brock Bowers and we saw the impact that Bowers had at that position. You've got two guys in Warren, in Loveland who can be instant impact players on offense. With a quarterback like Fields who is going to need someone to kind of be a security blanket on the underneath stuff, make catch and run after the catch type of plays, I think both of those guys could be obedient impact players on the Jets. I'm thinking long and hard about taking Tyler Warren or Colson Loveland with that pick. But, but to answer your question, if Chander is there, I would consider it.
Colin Cowherd
Did you say Loveland at 7?
Chris the Bear Felica
I'm just saying, like I know Joel Clatt has him rated extremely high on the board. I wouldn't, I wouldn't think Loveland would probably fall much lower than the Colts. But, but Warren for sure, yeah, I think is more than worthy of a top 10.
Colin Cowherd
All right, real quick, Ashton Genty. I, I'm so. I just don't see it at 6 to the Raiders, but it seems like according to the gambling odds it's he's going to be going that high.
Chris the Bear Felica
I don't see it either. If you're the Raiders with so much need, I know Pete Carroll's an old school guy. Why would you take Aston Genti here when you know in the back end of the running back group you've got Trevian Henderson, you've got Quinshon Judkins, you've got Dylan Sampson, you've got, you've got Cam Scatterboo, you've got Caleb Johnson, you've got a bunch of guys who are going to be there at the top of the second round. So like I think taking whatever you want to do with six, offensive lineman, pass rusher D, whatever and then the top of the second round you got a couple of running backs who Chip Kelly's familiar with from his days in Ohio State there. Like I think the bang for your buck is much greater doing that than taking out running back at 6 and what a lot of people think is the deepest running back group there. But I bet, I bet under nine and a half at plus money on Ashton Genti. You give yourself a little bit of a wiggle room if the Raiders don't take him. The Bears pick at 10 and that's probably the next line spot where he would go. But so you can still get over nine and a half at plus money on Genty. So that would certainly be the way I would go because I agree with you, J. Mac, I can't see the Raiders Why? You could take him at 6 and be good with that.
Colin Cowherd
All right, so earlier this week I did over unders 4 bets. I like this season. Now it's early. We haven't seen the order of the schedule which matters or the draft. But I had Falcons over seven and a half, Lions under ten and a half. Lions schedule is arguably the toughest in the league. Seahawks under seven and a half, Commanders under nine and a half. Anything you love there or hate and if you have one, fire away.
Chris the Bear Felica
Yeah, I like the way you're thinking with the Vikings under seven and a half now with a rookie quarterback. Or the Seahawks. The Seahawks under seven and a half. But you bring in Darnold who. Who left Minnesota, offensive line is shaky. You lose DK Metcalf, you know, the Rams are going nowhere in that division. The Niners should be. Should be back this year. Maybe not. They're not 13 and 4 good, but they'll be better like Cardinals are. What the Cardinals are a frisky team. Like under seven and a half for me in Seattle is. I like the way you're thinking there. I want to see Darnold do it again without all of those weapons on offense and that head coach and that scheme. The only over under I have bet so far is Giants under five and a half. I just don't see how in that division with that non, non divisional scheduled as well that they're getting six wins.
Colin Cowherd
Interesting. All right, I'll get you out of here on this one. I heard you say earlier next year the Browns could take Arch Manning or. And I thought you said Nussmeier. Is that the kid from lsu?
Chris the Bear Felica
Yeah. Oh, my God.
Colin Cowherd
Come on. Anyways, Arch Manning spoke today about wanting to be at Texas. I'm just curious, Chris, and I don't mean to slight Arch Manning. Do we know if he's good yet? We know about the bloodline.
Chris the Bear Felica
We don't.
Colin Cowherd
I don't think we know that.
Chris the Bear Felica
We don't. We don't know if we believe what we hear from, from Texas and Texas practice, from people that I have spoken with. The team loves him, the team gravitates to him more than they did yours. And he's been great and looks the part in whole. But until he goes out there for. I mean the sample size that we got last year, he certainly looked like the potential was there. But I would think this year we will certainly find out one way or another. But again, that's all part of the. Part of the thing with these quarterbacks. It's kind of like Drafting Shador or Jalen Merrill. The hope and the hype, these people are going to pan out is great in the allure. And the good thing with a lot of people in college is you're going to get a full year now of Archmatting to prove it or not. And the other thing with Arch is we don't even know for sure he's not going to come back. Like he's a guy. That's that. Look, Peyton stayed all four years. Eli stayed all four. Like, like it's no luck that he even comes back.
Colin Cowherd
Good point.
Chris the Bear Felica
Or comes out rather.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah, I just do you. Are you going to have an Arch Manning Heisman ticket just like the way. Like I'm going to have a Caitlin Clark MVP ticket. I'm just going to. Just for the fun of it. Arch mvp.
Chris the Bear Felica
I probably will just because if Texas is as good as it potentially could be, if Texas goes 10 and 2 and wins the SEC, he, he's probably going to win the award. But I just hate the price on it. Yeah, I did bet Carson Beck to win the Heisman.
Colin Cowherd
Oh my gosh. I had the ticket last year. Ripped it up in like September.
Chris the Bear Felica
Don't look at last year. Look at the year before. Last year he had no wide receiver help whatsoever. He had offensive line injuries all year long. Look, now he's going to be in the ACC with an easier schedule. I forgot I am a Miami guy. He's got a game right off the bat, but at the price you're going to get Car Garson Beck at 20 to 1 to win the Heisman. Why not bet that right now? That was, that was my thought process last year with Travis Hunter. Pick off good numbers that they're going to do nothing but potentially go down during the course of the year. But yeah, 21 potentially. If Carson Beck goes out and has a Great Game Week 1 and they beat Notre Dame, his price is going to be half that.
Colin Cowherd
Great point. Chris the Bear Felika. Check out the Bear Bets podcast with Jeff Schwartz. He's on big noon kickoff. Chris, great stuff, man. I'll talk to you soon.

Colin Cowherd
Excited for that, Alex Curry with the news.
Chris the Bear Felica
No, no, no, turn on the news.
Colin Cowherd
This is the Herd line news.
Alex Curry
Well, J. Mac, we've done a lot of draft talk today, so we're going to keep it going with the quarterbacks because the Steelers are continuing their quarterback meeting carousel as they welcome Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord for a visit. Now, Pittsburgh also plans to visit with Shador Sanders and of course the team has been linked to Aaron Rodgers all off season. Now, the Steelers still need a quarterback and my question though is how serious are they with these young quarterbacks and drafting a quarterback? Or is this a move to try to kind of light a fire for Aaron Rodgers and let them know you were not afraid to to date around and maybe find A younger quarterback. But they got to do something. They got to figure out something. They need a quarterback.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah. It's interesting. Like, look at that. How it looks on the screen. Steelers are hosting Kyle McCord and Shadour Sanders. Shador is probably like, bro, what am I doing with this guy?
Alex Curry
Yeah. So Adam Accords on the NFL draft quarterback prospect. He's at seven.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah. If I'm Shador, I'm like, bro, I'm a top five pick. I'm a big, top talent.
Alex Curry
Yeah.
Colin Cowherd
Ohio State. Ohio State didn't even say we want you. They were just like, you're not the starter next year. You can look elsewhere. He goes to Syracuse and crushed it.
Alex Curry
Yeah.
Colin Cowherd
But you know, Cowherd's a big believer in McCord. I don't.
Alex Curry
But that's kind of the position the start Steelers are in. They don't have a high first round. I don't think that Shador is going to drop to the Steelers.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah.
Alex Curry
So it also goes into the belief of maybe Shador is like having the meeting just in case. But.
Colin Cowherd
But you think this is maybe a nudge to Aaron. Hey, Roger.
Alex Curry
Yeah.
Colin Cowherd
We're gonna bring in quarterbacks.
Alex Curry
Yeah. Also, like, we're like, no pressure, but pressure, you know, like we, we need. We need a quarterback. We need to like fill the most important position on the team.
Colin Cowherd
Is it poop or get off the pot? Stop sitting on the fence. Decide. Just like make a decision, bro, come on. What do you need? Another darkness retreat? Sorry. I know Aaron Jones, who was in here early, he's great. Earlier this week.
Alex Curry
You know what, you do have to credit Rogers because every single former teammate that has come in and talked about Aaron Rodgers sings his praise well. So once the one that we've had on the show, when I've been in and hearing him talk about it, they all love Aaron Rodgers and say that they've done a lot for their career. Not only as a veteran, but this was as a rookie. Like, he's the reason that like Aaron Jones got pulled in. He said it was literally Rodgers like going, hey, I want him in. Put him in now. And that's how he got his shot.
Colin Cowherd
I'll be nicer to Aaron.
Alex Curry
Yeah. Sorry it didn't work out with you and your Jets.
Colin Cowherd
I know you're bitter, putting it very mildly. But he's also like, that hurts, then sucks.
Alex Curry
He's not the same caliber MVP player he was, but he is still a great quarterback option if you don't have anybody. So it's just like, is he. Where's he gonna go? We're still on Rogers watch going to Malibu once again. Well, we know that he's listening. He's looking at the ocean, watching the Dolphins and his air pods in. Okay, let's move to Arizona. Because Marvin Harrison Jr. S rookie season didn't quite go as well as some has predicted. Four rookie pass catchers had over 1,000 yards, and Harrison was not one of them. His quarterback, Kyler Murray, talked about how Marvin as he prepares for a second year. He said he didn't have the season he wanted to have regardless of the expectations. I definitely think he could have had a better season and believes that, too. I think something that is underrated is people don't understand, you know, from each level jump, whether it's high school to college or to the NFL, there's a level. There's a period where the game has to slow down for you. But it was also kind of a historic year for Passy. For rookie pass catchers. You have four rookies with over a thousand yards. I mean, he wasn't too far behind. Marvin had 885 receiving yards, but he also wasn't the number one target like all of these other guys that had over a thousand yards. They were their number one targets on their team. Their tight end, Trey McBride, was the number one target for the Cardinals.
Colin Cowherd
So, Alex, we look at that quote, definitely think he could have had a better season. If you go do a radio show after this and they're like, yeah, how was the show today? Well, I think. I definitely think Jason could have had a better show.
Alex Curry
I'd be like calling him out.
Colin Cowherd
Excuse me?
Alex Curry
Calling him out.
Colin Cowherd
Calling out the rook.
Alex Curry
Yeah, it's tough.
Colin Cowherd
I. Well, you think Kyler was awesome in slaying dragons this year? Come on.
Alex Curry
No, I mean, we. We know how you feel about Kyler. You went on earlier today. No, it's okay. I still think Cardinals will try to find their identity. They haven't figured it out yet and they're in a tough division. Like, Rams are going to be great. We don't know what Seattle's going to be now with Darnold, but they have Cooper cup and him and maybe it'll work out. Both of them in new places. And the 49ers, like, again, don't know what they're going to be, but I don't think they're going to finish fourth again like Cardinals are. It's still kind of feeling like they might be the fourth team in the NFC West. It's just we haven't seen it yet from Kyler, Murray didn't quite have the, I guess you want to say, live up to the high expectations of being that high of a draft pick because he was drafted fourth, he was the first wide receiver taken and all the other ones behind him had those thousand yard seasons. So I mean that's going to happen when you're a high draft pick regardless. But it's a good player. He grew up in the game. Dad's a legend. So it's like he's going to figure it out. He's going to figure it out and hopefully him and Kyler can figure it out and he becomes his top target because that's also going to help him get the yards and more catches, obviously. Okay, let's end in the NBA. The Suns have been a disaster and it's not getting better. They've lost eight games in a row. Kevin Durant is hurt and there's no real way to get better unless they make a massive trade. Now Devin Booker has been committed to remaining in Phoenix, but probably has the most trade value on the roster. I mean, the writing's on the wall, right? Katie's going to be traded this offseason. There were the rumors at the trade deadline, which I'm sure didn't, didn't help with any chemistry and didn't help with his emotions around staying with the team. But I mean, they've only won one playoff series. Sense trading for KD against the Clippers and then got swept in the next round against Minnesota. I mean, they got to do something. They got to do something to mix it up. Do you think they should trade Booker?
Colin Cowherd
I would keep Booker and do whatever I could to move off Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant.
Alex Curry
Interesting.
Colin Cowherd
Booker's a guy. They drafted him.
Alex Curry
He wants to stay. Yeah, he wants to stay.
Colin Cowherd
Durant's not.
Alex Curry
But he would have the most. He'd have the most value.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah.
Alex Curry
So you're going to get the most bang for your.
Colin Cowherd
You think Kendall Jenner wants him with the Clippers or Lakers? Had to get into Kendall. Well, I'm not doing TikTok really, but someone sent me a great Kendall Jenner TikTok from like two years ago and I was like, that's cool. I need to get on TikTok more. That's about the extent of my.
Alex Curry
We talked about this. You're. You're on Instagram. So you'll see the tiktoks like two weeks after they trend. Yeah.
Colin Cowherd
All right. Alex Curry with the news. Well, that's the news.
Chris the Bear Felica
And thanks for stopping by the Herd lie news. All right.
Colin Cowherd
Alex and I are symbiotic. I don't even know if that's the right word in that we don't like to totally go on social media during the show. You got to stay locked in, laser focused. Can't be dissuaded by these, you know, keyboard warriors yelling at you. So earlier in the show, we did top five players in the NBA under the most pressure in these playoffs. Okay. And we'll get it here on the screen in a moment.
Chris the Bear Felica
Be sure to catch live editions of the Herd weekdays at noon Eastern, 9am Pacific. Hey, Steve Covino. And I'm Rich Davis. And together we're Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. You can catch us weekdays from 5 to 7pm Eastern, 2 to 4 Pacific, on Fox Sports Radio. And of course, the iHeartRadio app. Why should you listen to Covino and Rich? We talk about everything, life, sports, relationships, what's going on in the world. We have a lot of fun talking about the stories behind the stories in the world of sports and pop culture, stories that, well, other shows don't seem to have the time to discuss. And the fact that we've been friends for the last 20 years and still work together, I mean, that says something, right? So check us out. We like to get you involved, too. Take your phone calls, chop it up, as they say. I'd say the most interactive show on Fox Sports Radio, maybe the most interactive show on planet Earth. Be sure to check out Covino and Rich live on Fox Sports radio and the iHeartradio app from 5 to 7pm Eastern, 2 to 4 Pacific. And if you miss any of the live show, just search Covino and Rich wherever you get your podcast. And of course, on social media, that's Covino and Rich.

Colin Cowherd
Truth be told, I came into work today. Jason Tatum was not on this list. We were floating names and Jason Tatum lands on the list and I am, weirdly, the Jason Tatum defender in this building. He gets so many people taking shots at him from cowherd. The guys on the facility in the morning, I think Nick and Broussard and those guys, I think they're not on Tatum. And now I'm getting yelled at as I, like an idiot, took a peek because a buddy of mine who is connected to a Celtics player sent me the link and I was like, bro, Tatum. And I, I again, I love Jason Tatum. I think he is an alpha. I think he's a top five player in the league. Yes, Top five player in the league. He's going to be all NBA top five MVP again. Led the Celtics in points, rebounds and assists in the playoffs and in the finals. I do kind of sort of buy, hey, man, what happened to the Olympics? Ticked him off. You know, he wants revenge on Kerr and Curry. They beat him in the finals a couple years ago. Kerr ends up essentially benching him at the Olympics. I know there's a it's. Who do you pull out for him? I mean, play everybody, dude. It's the Olympics. You guys are rolling. You know, I don't want Tatum thinking I'm not a fan because I am. And I do take this stuff personally when real good dudes, good athletes, great players, you know, Tatum is one of these guys, Alex on ig, you can't tag him. He don't want to hear about it.
Alex Curry
Smart.
Colin Cowherd
So Kevin Durant you could tag him, and he'll basically reply to you instantly. A lot of other players you could tag. You can't tag Tatum. He just doesn't. And I think, and this is a bigger discussion, Alex, but there are some guys who just don't care what the outside noise is. And I'm not going to lie to you guys. There's a world where I'm in that group. I've been called all the names. Yeah, I see you. I get tweets like Jason Wackentyre, and I'm like, oh, that's. I don't care. Block. It's done. You know, I don't mind that these gremlins come after me and say all this stuff. My wife calls me the unbothered King. I don't really get rattled by people saying stuff or, you know, I'm getting yelled at. I. I just don't really care. I'm kind of in my own world, and I think that could be what's going on with Tatum, because I don't know that he totally cares about not being the Finals mvp. Do you think he actually cares?
Alex Curry
It's great if the. Listen, if you're not going to ask for advice from these people and they're not people you take advice from, why would you listen to their feedback?
Colin Cowherd
Who said that? Somebody said that.
Alex Curry
It's just. It's something I've lived by since getting into this industry and social media was such a big thing, because it's hard when you first get into very loud and you have to learn to kind of put your blockers up and, and stay in your lane.
Colin Cowherd
Paige Bucker, Buer. She's the one who said it this week. Yeah, it's ignore.
Alex Curry
It's. It's really. It's. It's a smart thing to do. But also, I don't think it's a big deal saying that he has the most pressure in the playoffs.
Colin Cowherd
You're not saying most pressure, not most.
Alex Curry
It's not. It's not a bad thing. I don't think it's a bad thing at all. It just means there's going to be a lot of eyeballs and high expectations on us. They're not trading and he's still great.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah, he's not. Got nothing to worry about with the trade, by the way. I still believe my if Giannis ass out, I would give up Jaylen Brown and pretty much whatever else and get Giannis with Tatum on the Celtics. Now. That day, I think, was one of my spicier takes in the last couple months. We'll see if Giannis ass out.
Alex Curry
Was it trending that way?
Colin Cowherd
Pretty. Pretty decent Thursday show Alex. I I mean it was solid.
Alex Curry
Red hot.
Colin Cowherd
Yeah. We'll be back tomorrow. Hopefully. See you then.
Jeremy Hobson

Podcast Summary: The Herd with Colin Cowherd – Hour 3: NFL Draft Talk
Release Date: April 10, 2025
Introduction
In this episode of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, host Colin Cowherd engages in an in-depth discussion with co-host Chris "The Bear" Felica, focusing on the upcoming NFL Draft. The conversation delves into quarterback prospects, team strategies, betting insights, and broader implications for various NFL franchises.
1. Shador Sanders: Top Quarterback Prospect
Timestamp: 02:25 – 05:10
Chris Felica begins by evaluating Shador Sanders, highlighting his on-field performance and potential in the NFL:
Chris Felica (02:25): "I think he's fine. Like I look do I do I think he is a lock guaranteed franchise changing quarterback? No, I don't."
Despite Sanders' impressive stats and dynamic playmaking ability, Felica expresses skepticism about Sanders being a definitive franchise quarterback, citing concerns about offensive line performance during his college tenure.
2. Jalen Milroe: Potential and Concerns
Timestamp: 08:30 – 12:02
The discussion shifts to Jalen Milroe, another promising quarterback entrant:
Chris Felica (08:41): "He's not someone that I'm going to be rushing to take in the first round or even high in the second round."
Felica acknowledges Milroe's athleticism and potential but points out his inconsistent performance, particularly in high-pressure games. He emphasizes the importance of team schemes and offensive support in harnessing Milroe's talents.
3. Browns' Draft Strategy: Addressing Quarterback Needs
Timestamp: 03:17 – 04:30
Addressing the Cleveland Browns' quarterback dilemma, Cowherd and Felica explore possible draft moves:
Cowherd (03:17): "If you're the Browns, what I would do, I would take Travis Hunter number two, knowing you've got an impact receiver, defensive back, whatever you want, and then trade back into the end of the first round potentially to get a quarterback."
Felica suggests that the Browns focus on securing versatile players like Travis Hunter early and consider trading down to acquire a quarterback without forfeiting substantial draft capital.
4. Over/Under Betting on Quarterback Selections
Timestamp: 10:03 – 10:34
The hosts delve into betting strategies related to quarterback selections in the draft:
Felica (10:03): "Absolutely. Oh I am absolutely over two and a half and I know they posted a big price out there."
They discuss the likelihood of multiple quarterbacks being selected in the first round, endorsing an over on selecting more than two and a half QBs, reflecting confidence in the depth of quarterback talent.
5. Jets’ Considerations: Shador Sanders vs. Current QB
Timestamp: 12:02 – 14:03
Focusing on the New York Jets, Cowherd asks Felica about the potential drafting of Shador Sanders amid Justin Fields' tenure:
Felica (12:25): "No, you absolutely have to consider it because again, this is a quarterback who had a ton of run in the Bears and the Bears cut the cord knowing that he wasn't the answer."
Felica advises that while Sanders may be a valuable backup, the Jets should prioritize versatile offensive players like Tyler Warren or Colson Loveland to complement Fields' skills.
6. Arch Manning: Future Prospects and Uncertainties
Timestamp: 16:53 – 18:38
The conversation shifts to Arch Manning, exploring his potential impact in the NFL:
Felica (17:05): "We don't know if he's good yet. We know about the bloodline."
Felica highlights the uncertainty surrounding Manning's performance, emphasizing the need for a full collegiate season to accurately assess his capabilities before projecting his NFL success.
7. Brief NBA Discussion: Suns’ Struggles and Trade Speculations
Timestamp: 27:00 – 28:18
Transitioning briefly to the NBA, Cowherd and Alex Curry discuss the Phoenix Suns' disappointing performance and trade considerations:
Cowherd (28:05): "I would keep Booker and do whatever I could to move off Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant."
They debate the value of Devin Booker versus other star players, suggesting that retaining Booker while potentially trading high-impact players like Durant could revitalize the Suns' roster.
8. Steelers’ Quarterback Carousel and Potential Trades
Timestamp: 21:39 – 23:25
News updates by Alex Curry address the Pittsburgh Steelers' ongoing quarterback evaluations, including meetings with Kyle McCord and Shador Sanders:
Cowherd (23:13): "Is it poop or get off the pot? Stop sitting on the fence. Decide."
The hosts express frustration over the Steelers' indecision in securing a long-term quarterback solution, debating whether the team is genuinely considering young prospects or signaling readiness to trade veteran stars like Aaron Rodgers.
