Rich Davis
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Covino
Lucky you bringing the fun today, Kavino Rich in for our pal Colin on the Herd.
Danny G
Super fun time. We're having it. Thanks for being part of it. 877 for the herd. Write the number down. Now. We're playing a game this hour. Quote me. The game is quote me. Who said it? Multiple choice, Giving away prizes, bribing you. I mean, it's a pleasure hanging out with you. 877-484-3437. We're giving away a Swiggy. Our coveted stainless steel water bottle. Covino and Rich, Fox Sports Radio Midnight black gem mint limited edition water bottle. Because like I said before, your kid loses every other one. Have you ever seen a lost and found at a middle school? Nowadays it looks like a thrift store. Selling water bottles and hoodies is what.
Covino
It is every day. Everybody. Where's your water bottle? I forgot it.
Danny G
It's crazy. So we're giving away some this hour. Plus weekend hobnobbing. We do it every Friday. What you need to watch in the world of sports and entertainment. We'll do it before the end of the show.
Rich Davis
I was just going to say Rich has pointed out before that we go all out with our promotional items because we don't want to give away low budget gear.
Covino
I was trying to get some Shohei Ohtani bobbleheads, but that's a little above budget. You see, there's a special edition ones that are selling for like a thousand bucks.
Rich Davis
The different colored bats and all that. Yeah. By the way, our P1 Andrew called up yesterday to thank you guys because his Swiggy arrived in the mail. He said it's one of the nicest water bottles he's ever gotten for free. Because you know, you see some companies give water bottles away. So we didn't skimp on these.
Danny G
And isn't it nice when mail is for you? There's never any mail for me. There's a bunch of boxes at my house every day. Not one thing for me. So Anyway, I'm Covino, that is Rich. The number again is 877-484-3437. Call now. Call now. And call in if you want to just throw somebody out there that you won't forgive. You can't forgive. You might never forgive. Now forgiveness is just like saying sorry. I get it.
Covino
One of my favorite movies back in the day. Ryan Reynolds, Just Friends. Remember forgiveness?
Danny G
I do.
Covino
Anna Faris, very funny in this forgiveness.
Danny G
I'm not saying to hold a grudge. I do love second chances. I do love people changing my mind. That's fine. But I have not forgiven Will Smith. I haven't. I think he's a jerk. I think he's a big spoiled jerk. I think his wife put him in a weird spot. And he reacted on the biggest stage. I just hated that moment because it was so humiliating. It was a bully type of moment. When he slapped Chris Rock. Why am I talking about Will Smith? Because he has a new album out, and the whole thing is, I'm never gonna forgive him for that stuff he did. He's rapping about it.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
The name of the album is based on a true story. And the first single and video is Barbershop. And, yeah, he's singing about me. I don't forgive him unless Chris Rock forgives him. But who else won't I ever forgive?
Covino
Well, I told you, I have the number one answer.
Danny G
Can't wait to hear it.
Covino
Number one answer on the board. Can I give her a couple honorable mentions and then leave the rest for you guys? I think because of COVID I don't hold it against him, but there are plenty of people that never looked at Aaron Rodgers the same way. And I think that was the slippery slope into the whole eye roll that he gets now. It all started with the yo, you vaxxed, immunized and all that. That was like, step one in the. Aaron Rodgers is an interesting guy deep down.
Danny G
People don't forgive him for lying.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
About his vaccinations. Like, he was lying about it or dancing around it, I should say. Right?
Covino
I mean, Ray Rice, domestic violence. A lot of people don't ever look past that, Ryan. I know.
Danny G
Here's the thing. Here's the beauty of it. You don't have to forgive anybody either.
Covino
That's the truth. You don't have.
Danny G
Hey, you don't have to.
Covino
I mean, you saw the reaction on the first ever live Monday Night Raw when Hulk Hogan came out there. I know. Our buddy, Big Sexy Ryan running the boards today. He was the number one answer for him when it was who do you never forgive? Hulk Hogan. Some people will never forgive the Hulk.
Rich Davis
No.
Covino
He can go to hell.
Danny G
Well, you know why, too? Because so many people loved him and he sort of let. Let you down. You know what I mean, by showing his colors in that moment.
Covino
Yeah, I don't think it was. It was, say your prayers, eat your vitamins, say the N word was not in those original demands.
Danny G
That's why. Yeah, it, like, hurt people's feelings.
Covino
But my number one answer on the board. I challenge you. I thought Hogan was challenge you to have a better answer than this. Because what do people love more than humans, pets, and Michael Vick? There are people that no matter what this guy does, he could volunteer for every animal foundation, donate millions if you wanted to. There's still people that, when you say Michael Vick, they're like that son of a bit like there's people that will forever hate.
Danny G
And I won't ever debate that because I know you're right and what he did was inexcusable. But I feel like I've moved past it.
Covino
I have.
Danny G
I think he's done a great job of putting some good PR out there and reinventing his image and being a good guy and learning from it.
Covino
I'm telling you, it's not my answer because I also agreed. Feel like you feel. But there are people, there's a world of people that are like, I care about pets more than humans. And for those people, you know, you hurt little Wiggles the dog. There's no coming back from that. You know, there's. You could say that people are more likely to forgive John Rocker, who was an open racist.
Danny G
Eight. Michael Wick for the Herd. Eight. Seven. Seven for the Herd. Again. Will Smith is on my S list. I just think he's a jerk. You know who else I think a jerk?
Covino
Well, she got there.
Danny G
Araldes Chapman. Chappie is crappy. I don't like him. Never liked them. Came in with all the swag like he was going to be the guy and did nothing for the Yankees. But, but, but sweat. He sweated on the mound. We sweated watching the guy every time he was on the mound. It's like a nail biter. They had to put a tarp on the mound for all the sweat he was having. And. And if you remember in a 2022 ALDS, he was a no show to a mandatory practice and didn't make the roster as a result because all of all the havoc he was causing in the clubhouse. Remember he's having problems with Boonie. Remember Chappie and Boone were having problems. It's just I know what he did with the Cubs. I know what he's capable of. I know he's a flamethrower. Never liked his attitude. I don't forgive him for not showing up and exposing the bullpen when the Yankees needed him the most. You know, Do I cry about it at night? Has my life moved on? Absolutely. I'm just telling you I haven't forgiven him for it. Raw this Chapman. Not rooting for him as a red suck.
Covino
Oh. So if you're talking sports. Yeah. Who is unforgivable? We'll do it again. Remember, like an on field. But see, can you forgive a blunder.
Danny G
Because he left the bullpen hanging because he didn't show up. When you're getting paid that kind of money and you're not showing up to support your team, like physically, just not even there. Beat it. I don't forgive you now.
Covino
A costly error. It's hard to hold against someone like. I always thought it was terribly unfair.
Danny G
I think mental errors are hard to forgive.
Covino
I feel like he got redemption on curb your enthusiasm. And then when the Red Sox finally won, unfortunately to me, it was too late then. But Bill Buckner was a great ballplayer his whole life, and a city hated.
Danny G
Him for an error that he's forgiven.
Covino
Physical errors are easier to forgive.
Danny G
Is the bonehead errors that. The mental errors that are hard to forgive. So you know an Aaron Judge. I forgive Garrett Cole not covering first. That's harder to forgive. Juan Soto. Can't forgive him. Can't forgive him because he's a bag chasing a hole. That's why I don't forgive Juan Soto. Do I hate Juan Soto? No. Am I tuning in to watch him strike out?
Covino
You better believe it.
Danny G
He had the chance to run it back with the Yankees. He's leaving the Yankees with unfinished business. That's what bothers me. I get this unfinished business. And he chased the bag to play for the Mets. I can't forgive him for that.
Covino
You can't accept it.
Danny G
You can't.
Covino
Not to forget you. I feel like you harbor.
Danny G
Well, why do I have to.
Covino
I feel like you harbor worse feelings for Juan Soto than your ex wife. It's odd. You have this inability to understand that maybe the Mets offered him something more than money that the Yankees couldn't.
Danny G
No, it was all about money. You fooling yourself to think that it's anything else other than money. It's money. 100% about the money.
Covino
And he says he hasn't even bought anything with that 765 million yet. Because it's about winning Kavina.
Danny G
Okay. Yeah. So Juan Soto is also that guy. Throw Robbie Cano on that. Because he ruined his own career by chasing the money. Any bag chasing dude on that level when they're already in a great situation, I can't really forgive or respect. I don't have to either. So I'm throwing him on my list. And Rich, a guy that let me down, a guy that really hurt my feelings, hurt me in a big way. I'll never forgive him, even though I think you do. Ivan Drago. He killed Apollo Creed in the ring, and he showed no remorse. He showed no remorse, guys. If he dies, he dies. Ivan Drago it was supposed to be an exhibition. He killed a legend, Ivan Drago. Never forgive him.
Covino
I know you said we're. This is a tough one. You know how you're saying you're allowing, you're allowing a free pass for the, the error on the field? Because I'm saying physical errors are easier to.
Danny G
For you don't have, you don't have to forgive them. Right. Right away. But you know, when time passes, it heals all wounds. You realize it's not like they wanted to fail in that moment.
Covino
Now let me take everyone behind the scenes. When we do our regular show Monday through Friday, we're in a different studio here at Fox Sports Radio. When we fill in for the herd, we're in a different Collins studio. That was the studio we used when we first started here. Yeah, I remember sitting in this exact chair and seeing a play on that TV screen right there. Yeah, that. Really, honestly, I'm getting sick thinking about it. Danny G. Do you remember we were on the air on a Sunday night, NFC championship game, 49ers Rams.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Covino
When Jaqueski Tart. Remember Tart? Matthew Stafford threw it in this dude's hands. Bounced off his hands and his chest. He catches that ball. Niners go to the super bowl, he drops it. Matthew Stafford, rest his history.
Danny G
I see hate. You're still not over it. And that's fine.
Covino
I'm sure he's a swell fella. Hey, you know, God bless him, his family. But at. Oh my goodness, players can't forgive that.
Danny G
People moments you'll never forgive. What up, music?
Ryan Music
So there's one. This one's not personal to me because I'm not a Ravens fan, but one that people have really reacted to was the Mark Andrews one recently where he had that drop and could have been a game changing play in their playoff game against the Bills. People have continued to hold that against him. This one, I will say is someone who I've never been able to forgive and mostly in the sense that he, I don't even think is actually even really looking for forgiveness is Lance Armstrong.
Danny G
Oh, again, now Rich has ethereum.
Covino
I like Lance Armstrong. I'll tell you why. Because while yes, a liar and listen all the things he's done, my feeling is simple. I don't care if he's a piece of garbage liar, if he raised hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars for people with cancer. To me that trumps trumps. That trumps any stupid, crappy, misled so many people. But lying about bicycle racing. All right, go get your spandex pants. I don't care about the Tour de France. If he helped one person survive cancer and people wearing the silly bracelets and everything, to me, he's forgiven for any lying.
Danny G
That's you.
Covino
If I told you I was a lying piece of crap, but because of me a bunch of sick kids got healthy, would you be like Rich Davis, hell of a guy. What would you say, Kavino, if I turned out to be the biggest piece of crap? But you know, but he did save a bunch of kids from a burning building.
Danny G
But if you were really invested in him as a guy and then you find out he was a fraud the whole time. Yeah, I can see how you'd never forget about that.
Ryan Music
I think it's one of those things where you can also separate the two. Right. You can say Lance Armstrong terrible for what he did, but it's great what he also did for people with cancer and cancer research.
Covino
There's some kids, I don't think one.
Ryan Music
Has to wash out the other.
Covino
There's some kids out there that are like, my dad's alive because Lance Armstrong's research and money. And I'm sure those kids could forgive the fact that he lied about, you know, riding a ten speed.
Danny G
Forgive me. You know, Jimmy, who don't you forgive.
Covino
Is just like being so.
Danny G
Jimmy Yu. Hit us up, Jimmy, you teno and rich on social media, on X. And he says I'm never forgiving. This is a random one. But he says I'm never forgiving Roseanne Barr for the way she sang the national anthem in San Diego. The disrespect.
Rich Davis
Oh, in the crotch grab.
Danny G
The disrespect to our nation. He's never forget. He still has hanging onto that one. You know what you're entitled to. You don't have to. Jimmy.
Covino
There are people that get stuff held against him for a long time. The Dixie Chicks now call themselves the Chicks. You remember when they spoke ill of President Bush? There was a different time where people spoke politically. It was held against them. They were shunned for a long time, especially being a country artist. That side of the country was like, nope, later chicks. So Sinead O'Connor, remember she. The late great Sinead O'Connor with the picture of the Pope.
Danny G
The Pope. But you know what? Based on future controversies, she was sort of forgiven. Maybe too late. But after her passing especially, she was definitely forgiven by most people, not everybody. So who else comes to mind for you? I gave you mine. Chapman, Soto, Antonio Brown. Oh, for. For Ryan. Why specifically though?
Covino
Oh, I'm a Raiders fan. We traded for him. He didn't play one game.
Danny G
That's what I mean. Like, they have that. That's a great point. That's a good point.
Rich Davis
He was just a big headache.
Danny G
Total bust. Yeah. That sort of thing. It's unforgivable sometimes.
Rich Davis
And then him running off the field, undressing.
Danny G
Oh, what a. What a. Yeah, but you know what he means.
Rich Davis
He's entertaining on social media.
Danny G
He's had some great tweets since. So again, you don't have to forgive these people. That's the beauty of it. But I'm choosing not to forgive Will Smith until Chris Rock does. But he does have a new album out, if you want to check it out.
Rich Davis
I have one here for you guys. This is from the Sunshine State, one of our regular listeners. He said the finger point to Congress. Let me start by telling you this. I have never used steroids, period. Never.
Danny G
Rafael Palmeiro, there you go.
Rich Davis
He said, I'll never forgive Palmero.
Danny G
He. He never used steroids, but he used Viagra. I remember him on the commercials all the time.
Covino
Didn't. It's a funny story. When we were kids, Rafael Palmeira with his great mustache, did the Viagra commercials. Didn't your younger brother.
Danny G
My brother thought that they made you hit home runs. And in a way, he was right. He was kind of right. Yeah. Because they were on all the time.
Covino
Didn't your little brother ask your parents for Viagra?
Danny G
So here's what I'm going to say, guys. You could chime in at covinoandrich, oxsportsradio. And if you want to talk more about this specifically, we did touch on it on our bonus podcast. Over promised episode 86. So you can actually watch the show on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page over promise with Kavino and Rich. And we talk more about players and athletes and people you'll never forget.
Covino
Plus, we got our game all lined up. Quote me if you want in 8, 7, 7, 4, the herd. We'll do that all next in for Colin Covino and Rich right here, Fox Sports Radio.
Rich Davis
Be sure to catch live editions of the Herd, weekdays at noon Eastern, 9am Pacific.
Jeff T
Yo, what's good? It's Jeff T from Club 520 podcast here with my latest fresh take on 2025 NCAA tournament, brought to you by Wendy's, the official hamburger of March Madness. What a weekend. Easily my two favorite games from the Elite 8 were Duke beating Alabama, Florida beating Texas Tech. Duke beat Alabama with their defense being able to attack and transition and getting out on the open floor, finding Cooper Flag and all their talented players. And Florida beating Texas Tech. What a win by them. Coming up big in the end. Now with my final four set, I like Florida beating Auburn because of the way they play. They got a closer in Clayton Jr. And I got Duke playing Houston and I got Houston being my championship in a 2025 NCAA tournament. It should be a good game, should be exciting weekend. I'm looking forward to it. We'll see if I'm right. But while you watching the games in the meantime, remember, the freshest deal in fast foods Gotta be Wendy's. Right now you can get a Junior bacon cheeseburger or a double stack for $1 with an in app offer and a purchase. Again, head to Wendy's app to grab a $1 junior bacon cheeseburger, a $1 double stack with an in app offer and a purchase for the freshest hamburgers around. Gotta be Wendy's, the official hamburger of March Madness.

I'm not going to watch Top Gun. And the more you pressure me, the less likely I'm to do it. Maverick, that is Maverick.
Covino
You must be a delight to date.
Danny G
Thanks.
Covino
Your girlfriend, luckiest woman on earth.
Danny G
I think so. Covino and Rich, Fox Sports Radio CNR show in for Colin on the Herd. Thank you guys for hanging out with us. Thanks for all your feedback. Again, wrapping up. Who you won't forgive. Len from Idaho said O.J. has to be the number answer. Number one answer on the board. People you'll never forgive.
Covino
Well, if you saw the Naked Gun trailer, they allude to that because they Leslie Nielsen, the late, great Leslie Nielsen. His son, Frank Drubbin Jr. That's who Liam Neeson plays.
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
And they go to Ed, Ed's son. His partner is played by Stingray from Cobra Kai.
Danny G
What's his name? Paul Walter Hauser. Paul Walter Hauser, who's also playing Chris Farley in the biopic. So that dude's everywhere.
Covino
And then they go to OJ and there's a young black guy and he looks at the camera like, nah, like, I don't want to claim to be O.J. norberg.
Danny G
So nobody's.
Covino
It looks great, man. So O.J. is a great answer. Thank you, Len.
Danny G
Thank you, everybody. Hit us up at Covinoenrich now. Later this hour, weekend hobnobbing what you need to watch in the world of sports and entertainment. We do it every Friday, but right now we're giving away prizes. It's game time. Let's go.
Rich Davis
Sports, media and athletes are quoted a lot.
Danny G
Stars attract other stars.
Rich Davis
Here comes the hot take.
Danny G
Quotes.
Covino
Andy Reid should step down as head coach. This is not a one game. We asked him because they lost in this game.
Rich Davis
You guess the talking head.
Covino
You can quote me on that.
Rich Davis
Quote me. All right. Happy Friday Here we go. Game time. You need to tell me which blabbermouth said it. Let's meet the contestants. The man who was once suspended for making a torpedo bat in wood shop, Steve Covino.
Covino
Ahead of the trend. Ahead of the trend.
Rich Davis
To his left, the broadcaster who proudly stated that he does not waste time on games where his team is being blown out. Rich Davis.
Covino
Waste of money. They're down by more than a grand slam. If the team can't come back with a grand slam and it's past the seventh inning, I'm checking out.
Rich Davis
And the man who is the goat of goat yoga. Spotty boy.
Danny G
Let's do this.
Covino
You know, just because you like yoga doesn't mean you need to wear yoga pants. You know that, right?
Rich Davis
And then over there, the herd.
Danny G
I got a good butt for it.
Rich Davis
This guy once spent two full days mounting one. Flat screen. Ryan. Music.
Ryan Music
Hey, let's go.
Danny G
Is that true?
Ryan Music
Oh, how many days? Yeah, it was two days.
Covino
It's.
Danny G
Oh, my God.
Covino
Music. This is a complete reflection of our show. You told me that story last time we hung out. I didn't just.
Danny G
I didn't know it was two days.
Covino
He just doesn't listen.
Ryan Music
How many days does it take Avino to remember my name?
Covino
I don't know.
Rich Davis
We're gonna. We're gonna go to the studio lines right now to see who is in the running for a stainless steel Swiggy. Let's go to Florida. Ocala, Florida. What up, Tom?
Covino
Tommy.
Rich Davis
Hey, guys.
Danny G
How are you? Hey, Tommy.
Rich Davis
And Tom told me off the air that he's a huge Gators and Falcons fan.
Covino
Good luck to your Gators this weekend. Final four action, brother.
Rich Davis
Yeah. You nervous?
Covino
Always nervous.
Rich Davis
Because, you know, I'm. I'm a lovable loser, so I'm always nervous when my teams play. All right.
Danny G
Remember, I did give up a 28.
Rich Davis
3 lead in the Super Bowl. Yeah. Yeah.
Covino
That's terrible. Yeah. Falcons.
Danny G
And here, here.
Rich Davis
Yeah. Final four tomorrow. Can't wait. Rules for quote me here. The first contestant with two correct answers is the championship if there's a tie of two overtime. Quotes ready to go. Your name is your buzzer, but you do have to wait until all three possible answers are read. If there's two wrong answers in a row, we move on to the next quote. Are you ready?
Danny G
Let's go.
Rich Davis
Here we go. Here's the first quote. This is one thing I think people will hold against Jokic, because, you know, when we start talking about the best of the best, we got a nitpick Jokic didn't have to go up against Alonzo Mourning, David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, Tim Duncan. Night in, night out. I'm going up against the best of the best of the best bigs. Who said it? Quote me.
Jeff T
Who?
Rich Davis
Me. A, Chris Broussard, B, Kelvin Washington, or C, Rob Parker?
Covino
Tom.
Rich Davis
Tom. Kelvin Washington.
Covino
Yes.
Rich Davis
Tom. On the board immediately. And here's what that says. Sounded like on Fox Sports Radio. This is one thing people I think.
Danny G
Will hold against Jokic, because, you know.
Rich Davis
When we start talking about the best.
Danny G
Of the best, we got a nitpick. Jokic didn't have to go up against Alonzo, Mo, David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, all of the Tim Duncan.
Covino
Night in, night out.
Danny G
I'm going up against the best of the best of the best bigs. You know, since it was so much back and forth about him and Shaq this week, I thought it was a Shaq quote.
Covino
I thought it was not going to be Kelvin because it sounded like something like an old head would say. I thought it was Rob Parker talking about the back of the day.
Rich Davis
Nicely done by Tom.
Danny G
Had to go against the other big man.
Rich Davis
We go to round two. Here's the quote. The New Orleans Pelicans thought they were going to be making a bust of Zion Williamson for the Pro Bouncy Ball hall of Fame. Instead, he's a different kind of bust, the kind you don't want to have. And by any measurement, Zion Williamson is an absolute failure. Quote me. Who me? Was that A, Ben Maller, B, Colin Cowherd, or C, Jason Smith?
Danny G
Oh, man. Tom, Tom, Tom.
Rich Davis
Trying to go for the sweep here. It sounds like something Ben Maller would say.
Covino
Dude, just like that, Tom sweeps the board. Damn.
Rich Davis
This is what Ben Maller sounded like when he was bloviating.
Covino
The New Orleans Pelicans thought they were going to be making a bust of.
Danny G
Zion Williamson for the Pro Bounce Evil hall of Fame.
Covino
Instead, he's a different kind of a bust, the kind that you don't want to have. And by any measurement, Zion Williamson is an absolute failure.
Danny G
Wow.
Covino
Damn. Hey, Tom.
Danny G
Wings.
Rich Davis
So Tom already gets a swiggy. For fun, let's do the third one.
Covino
Danny G is like, I put the work in. And by the way, I always love the promos from Ben Maller. Who's the overnight guy? It says Ben Maller. He's the big dog with the big bite. Do you think he loves that or laughs at that?
Danny G
Ben Maller does Ben Maller things.
Covino
What if I said Cole Cavino? He's the big dog with the big bite.
Danny G
I love it.
Rich Davis
Now, if Tom whoops you guys on the third one, I'll throw in. I'll throw in some koozies in his prize.
Danny G
All right, all right.
Rich Davis
Some C and R Kuzis. Here we go. The third quote. Like, at some point you go, you're 25, you know, not 19, 20, 21. Not that that's an excuse for you to show a gun on social media, but you're 25. You've got so much ahead of you. I know it's just a gesture, but I mean, really, like, isn't there another way to get back at Buddy Heald? Like scoring, dunking quote? Me? Who me? Was that A, Doug Gottlieb, B, Dan Patrick, or C, Kendrick Perkins?
Ryan Music
Music.
Rich Davis
Oh, music.
Covino
Music in on that.
Ryan Music
Couldn't let Tom just put us all to shame like that. Come on. I at least got to put up a fight.
Danny G
Let's do it.
Ryan Music
Let's go. B, Dan Patrick.
Rich Davis
Yes. At least we can say our hosts didn't get swept. By the way, this is what DP sounded like doing that, like at some.
Danny G
Point you go, you're 25. You know, you're not 19, 20, 21. Not that that's an excuse for you to be able to show a gun on social media, but you're 25. You've got so much ahead of you. And I know it's just a gesture.
Covino
But I mean, really, isn't there another way to get back at Buddy Heald?
Danny G
Like scoring, dunking?
Rich Davis
There we go. And congratulations, Tom. We'll be mailing out a shiny CNR stainless steel Swiggy to you there in Florida.
Covino
Listen to too much sports talk radio. I was gonna say. You better be listening to us in the afternoon, brother.
Danny G
Thank you, man.
Covino
Good luck to you, Florida this weekend. Hope you guys pull that out.
Danny G
Appreciate that.
Covino
What do you think, by the way, about that? Are you. I'm pretty sure Colin has a take of all the number one seeds. That's how it should be. Other people are like, just lack some excitement. No Cinderella this year, no big upsets. But do we. Is it better when the teams that are there deserve to be there?
Danny G
Yeah. There's a reason we're talking about baseball the way we're talking about it. Because the Yankees and the Dodgers played in the World Series last year. You need the big teams to step up like that.
Covino
Have you thought more about our bet? You taking it?
Danny G
Yeah, I'll take it.
Covino
Oh, okay. Shake on it, brother.
Danny G
I'm confident that the Yankees are going to have a better record anyway. Okay, Shake karma because Soto's a bum.
Covino
That's right.
Rich Davis
Perfect.
Danny G
Let's go. So the bet is. And we're saying it on the herd.
Rich Davis
Mark, tape. Mark tape.
Danny G
Yeah, quote us. It's $1,000. Whoever has the best record, Rich Is rooting for his Mets. I'm rooting for my Yankees. Thousand dollars, handshake, gentleman's bet. Boom. But $100 for every win. Every other win on top of that.
Covino
Yeah. So let's say The Mets win 96 games and the Yankees win 90. That's 600 in addition to the thousand.
Danny G
Fair enough.
Covino
So when the 98 wins and the Yankees have 88 wins, that's an extra thousand.
Danny G
Yeah. All right.
Rich Davis
So when the Dodgers repeat, you'll Both pay me $3,000.
Danny G
Hey, you know what? It's likely to happen. They haven't lost the game yet. But I gotta take that bet. I gotta do it here on the Herd. Gotta put your money where your mouth is. So let's go. And let's go Yankees, let's do it.
Covino
With that said, let's hit up Ryan for the Herdline news. Come on.
Rich Davis
No, no, no.
Danny G
Turn on the news.
Rich Davis
This is the Herdline news.
Ryan Music
A huge one in the NBA. That's right, the Lakers. Warriors. What a game it was. Warriors. Bringing home the win felt like a big time playoff game type of environment. So much fun. Warriors. Now here's an interesting Note. Thanks to ESPN, warriors are now 13. Oh, when they have Steph Curry, Podjemski, Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green in the starting lineup. 13 0.
Covino
I thought 192 was impressive enough with Jimmy and Steph. Now you're ending the whole starting five. 13 0, huh?
Ryan Music
There you go. Also passing this along, this from the warriors themselves. Steph Curry has scored 89 points over his last two games. He joins Michael Jordan and LeBron James as the only players in NBA history over 37 to score that many points in a two game span.
Covino
And you know, Steph's scoring is significantly up since the acquisition of Jimmy Butler. So it just shows, you know, rotations, you know, gives a little jolt of energy and just changes that offense.
Ryan Music
So no doubt about it, that's something Collins sort of talked about, which was Steph Curry and LeBron together, because both of those teams obviously made huge trade deadline deals is the phrase he used, was they were on a treadmill to nowhere despite still being very impactful players.
Covino
That's a great analogy.
Ryan Music
Make a big move, and now it's all of a sudden you're totally revitalized and your life's heading in a brand new direction and you no longer feel stuck in the mud.
Covino
That's true. It's like dating someone where you're like, I know I'm not going to marry them.
Ryan Music
Right.
Covino
But there's no real reason to break up right now.
Danny G
It's now, like, now you're on a new treadmill where you could pick your destination. Like, I'm going to take a walk to Costa Rica. Yeah.
Covino
Oh, can you fancy.
Ryan Music
I like that. I like that. All right, we'll turn our attention to the NFL here. Browns locked up Miles Garrett long term, arguably, some would say inarguably, the best edge rusher in the game. But some very interesting comments from Brown's owner, Jimmy Haslam, talking about Miles Garrett after this contract extension quote, we've challenged Miles on his practice habits, his actions, and to become a real leader on the team. And he has said he'll do that, and we're hopeful that he will. I mean, that seems really weird for such a great player who's had to be played for an incredibly dysfunctional situation.
Danny G
You know, it's funny, he's been pretty outspoken.
Covino
I was saying, you know, remember the movie Liar, Liar when Jim Carrey had to tell the truth?
Danny G
Yeah, yeah.
Covino
Like the owner, the color of the.
Danny G
Pen in my hand.
Covino
Like, he said Deshaun Watson was a swing and miss. And now he's saying that Myles Garrett needs to be a better leader.
Danny G
Like, how old is truth? Senior Haslam. Let me just look it up. I also realized that when you hit certain ages, you just start saying stuff. You just don't care.
Ryan Music
71.
Covino
That's right.
Danny G
My parents age. You should see. Hear the things they say to me. I'm like, what is going on?
Covino
Yeah, I think you hit 70, you don't care. And you're like, man, I'm just gonna say what the hell I want. Yeah, it's true. What does he have to lose?
Danny G
Yeah.
Ryan Music
I mean, at this point, he's like, listen, I just paid this guy. Lord knows how much money I had to write the check.
Covino
Yep.
Ryan Music
I want him to be better.
Danny G
I really feel like that's part of it. You know, Jerry Seinfeld does a whole bit. He goes, you ever see old people, you know, backing out of a parking spot? They're like, oh, I hope there's no one behind me.
Covino
They don't even look. They don't even look they just back out.
Danny G
Like when you hit a certain age, you just start saying what's on your mind. You don't care at all. 71. That might be him.
Covino
You see what some of our parents and their friends post on Facebook.
Ryan Music
Yeah.
Danny G
No kids, no filter.
Ryan Music
That's right. We'll wrap up with this. Turn our attention to baseball. As you guys were talking about your bet there, but this one, we are going to talk about Danny's reigning world champion Dodgers. They'll be without Freddie Freeman. He was placed on the injury list. Been struggling with an ankle injury since last season. He had a slip in the shower is what the. The team has relayed.
Danny G
He just called it a little mishap at first.
Covino
Right.
Danny G
But now maybe it's a bigger mishap than we thought.
Rich Davis
Earlier in the week on Covino and Rich's afternoon slot, we did a whole topic on this. Freak sports injuries.
Covino
Yeah. And something in the shower. We were talking about how we all know that feeling where you ever catch yourself and you're like, oh, that could have been bad. Oh, yeah, you know, listen, we talked about Bobby Ojeda, cut his fingers off with hedge clippers. And you know who else? Kevin Brown punching a dugout wall. Like, freak injuries happen. But Freddie Freeman, I think the Dodgers, they have the luxury of being like, yeah, yeah, take your time. We're gonna win 120 games. Just be healthy in October.
Danny G
It's really unfortunate, though, because this is again, the. The injury of the footy he had the problem he had last year, Correct? Yeah.
Ryan Music
The originally stemmed from an ankle injury since, like September towards the end of last regular season. As we know, he battled through that, plus other injuries to end up being the hero and World Series MVP didn't affect his swing.
Covino
I mean, my theory is that, you know, he's got little kids. I have little kids. They leave, you know, their bubble bath and, you know, all these little things and concoctions they mix in the bathtub. Their little bath bomb.
Danny G
Little rubber ducky.
Covino
Dude, no, there might have been a little soap scum residue or a rubber ducky or. Oh, I blame the kids. That's what I'm saying.
Ryan Music
That's no fun. So we wish him well. But yes, the Dodgers, obviously, even despite missing Freddie Freeman, perfect 8.0Best start for a reigning World Series champion. So, okay, Danny, I think everything's going to be okay in Dodgerland, but we wish Freddy Freeman well and hope he's back soon.
Covino
Thank you, Ryan.
Rich Davis
Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping by the herd lie news.
Danny G
So we're gonna go through more of your feedback at Covino and Rich. And if you want to call again, it's 877 for the herd, but we got again to weekend hobnobbing as well. All the things you need to watch in the world of sports and entertainment. What's going on this weekend?

Covino
And the fact that we've been friends for the last 20 years and still work together, I mean, that says something, right?
Danny G
So check us out. We like to get you involved, too. Take your phone calls, chop it up, as they say.
Covino
I'd say the most interactive show on Fox Sports Radio, maybe the most interactive show on planet Earth.

Jeff T
Yo, what's good? It's Jeff T. From Club 520 podcast here with my latest fresh take on 2025 NCAA tournament brought to you by Wendy's, the official hamburger of March Madness. Now with my final four is set. I like Florida beating Auburn because of the way they play. They got a closer and Clayton Jr. And I got Duke playing Houston and I got Houston being my championship in a 2025 NCAA tournament. It should be a good game. Should be exciting weekend. I'm looking forward to it. We'll see if I'm right. But while you watching the games in the meantime, remember, the freshest deal in fast food's Gotta be Wendy's.
Jeremy Hobson
We live in a divided country.
Covino
I am a lifelong Republican with all.
Jeremy Hobson
Kinds of different people.
Danny G
You know, I'm a mother, I'm a grandmother.
Jeremy Hobson
That's why we started the Middle with Jeremy Hobson. It's about bringing voices not from the extremes, but from the vast middle into the national conversation.
Danny G
Anna, I'm calling from Las Vegas.
Jeremy Hobson
Each week we bring together an all star panel. Mark Cuban, so great to have you on the Middle.
Covino
Thanks for having me, Jeremy.
Jeremy Hobson
Neil Degrasse Tyson, welcome to the Middle.
Rich Davis
Thanks for having me.
Jeremy Hobson
And hear from ordinary Americans from all over the country on the most important, important issues.
Danny G
Hi, my name is Venkat. I'm calling you from Atlanta, Georgia.
Jeremy Hobson
And when you subscribe to the Middle, you also get an episode each week called One Thing Trump did that focuses on just one item from the avalanche of news.
Covino
We should be examining what our government.
Jeff T
Spends its money on and are these.
Covino
Jobs necessary and what are we doing here? But that doesn't seem to be what.
Rich Davis
We'Re doing in this situation.
Jeremy Hobson
Listen to the Middle with Jeremy Hobson on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Narrator
Something unexpected happened after Jeremy Scott confessed to killing Michelle Schofield in Bone Valley season one.
Jeff T
I just knew him as a kid.
Narrator
Long, silent voices from his past came.
Gilbert King
Forward and he was just staring at me.
Narrator
And they had secrets of their own to share.
Gilbert King
Gilbert King, I'm the son of Jeremy.
Narrator
I was no longer just telling the story. I was part of it.
Gilbert King
Every time I hear about my dad, it's, oh, he's a killer. He's just straight evil.
Narrator
I was becoming the bridge between a killer and the son he'd never known.
Gilbert King
If the cops and everything would have done the job properly, my dad would have been in jail. I would have never existed.
Narrator
I never expected to find myself in this place. Now I need to tell you how I got here.
Gilbert King
At the end of the day, I'm literally a son of a killer.
Narrator
Bone Valley Season 2 Jeremy.

Covino
Come on, Kavino. This weekend, just do it. It's gotta happen.
Danny G
All right, well, gotta happen.
Covino
You're gonna watch a Val Kilmer movie or what?
Danny G
I don't know. You know what?
Rich Davis
You can do it.
Danny G
Maybe you'll find out right now because we do it every Friday. We try to keep you informed. That's what Cavino Enrich tries to do. Yeah, we try to keep you well rounded. That's our mission. Cnr. And for calling on the herd. And every Friday we do something called Weekend Hobnobbin. Let's go for the weekend.
Rich Davis
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing.
Covino
You ever done anything dangerous?
Narrator
You ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
Danny G
That is dangerous.
Rich Davis
Friday brings us Weekend Hobnob.
Danny G
Okay, so what you need to watch in the world of sports and entertainment to keep you well rounded so that come Monday you know what's going on, you could carry a conversation, you didn't miss out.
Covino
And the reality is I feel like there's so many scenarios I find myself in, so I can only imagine other parents feel the same way at the school drop off at a kid's sporting event.
Danny G
The water cooler. People always say the water cooler.
Covino
I don't know who hangs at the water cooler.
Danny G
Everyone having conversations at the water cooler. Well, whatever.
Covino
Whatever your water cooler is, you don't want to be the guy or the girl that's out of the loop. It's embarrassing when I bring up something and some parents like, I've never heard of that. I'm like, what are you doing?
Danny G
Exactly. You don't want to be that guy. And before we get to the king of hobnobbing, Rich Davis Hobnobbins his middle name. I'm going to kick it off and say, I'm not necessarily going to watch, but you might want to go. I am, however, taking my daughter, my teenage pain in the. I mean daughter and her friends to see it. Tonight. The Minecraft movie. Movie comes out.
Covino
I'm going Sunday, I got taking my kids, Jack Black and Jason.
Danny G
Jason Momoa, Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Jennifer Coolidge. 150 million dollar budget expected to make a lot based on the popularity of Minecraft. And who doesn't like Jack Black and who doesn't like Jason Momoa, Am I right? And you know what else the backstory is on this? You know, it's expected to do really well, but it's also expected to be the nail in the coffin, the stompage of Snow White. If there was any chance of Snow White to come back or redeem itself. It's all over after this weekend, cuz Minecraft comes out.
Covino
Did you hear the latest on Snow White? It's, it's done so bad that Disney has now put a stop to their next live action. They were gonna, they were, they were in the works to start doing the production for Tangled live action. And they said, you know what, let's put this on pause. We may need to rethink all of our angles on these live action ones. That's how bad Snow White and Rachel Zegler and all.
Danny G
It's all over after Minecraft dominates the box office.
Covino
Your old pal Danny G. Clay Travis, who used to work at Fox Sports Radio, who's now outkick and everything, he made a great point that Gal Gadot is too good looking to be like the old. What would you call the old witch essentially in Snow White, right?
Rich Davis
Yeah. He said that she shouldn't outshine Snow White.
Covino
I mean, Gal Gadot is not the greatest actress, but when the, when the, when the old hag is like mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? That's supposed to be like an old lady that's jealous of Snow White, right?
Danny G
Yeah.
Covino
And Rachel Zegler are too close in like, looks and hotness for it to be like mirror, mirror on the wall. They got rid of the dwarfs and everything. Come on.
Rich Davis
He wanted Boobs McGee to play Snow White.
Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
He's like Sydney Sweeney. Sydney Sweeney and Nicole Kidman. Yeah. I just made you a million dollars.
Covino
I agreed with him.
Danny G
Million dollars. All right, you know what else I'm watching? The White Lotus season finale. Boom, bam. 90 minutes is the update. A 90 minute finale. This show has me on the edge of my seat every time I watch it because I'm keep. I'm. I'm waiting for something to happen. Nothing happens. But I'm like, all right, well, something's gotta happen. So 90 minutes we get to figure out what happens here on the White Lotus season finale. That's on hbo, Max. I'm digging the Season three in the world of fighting. Ufc. This weekend, UFC Emmett versus Murphy main event, featherweight division. Sabatini Brito. So some good fights. That's the co main event. That's on a Saturday night.
Covino
And.
Danny G
Two more over promised. Episode 86, that's our bonus podcast. I'm gonna watch it because I love watching myself. Yeah, but it's our bonus show that's sweeping the nation.
Covino
Don't let anyone tell you you're self.
Danny G
Serving and it's like a TV show. It's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Over. Promise. Brand new episode, dropped yesterday. Number 86. We talk some baseball, we talk some sports, some nonsense. Worldwide leaders of nonsense. Covino and Rich on over promised. And if I have time, I'm gonna watch in tribute to the late, great Val Kilmer. Maverick. Top Gun Maverick.
Covino
You know, if you go to Amazon prime right now, they actually have a section in their movie section. Tribute to Val.
Danny G
Wait, did you hear that, guys? I'm gonna watch Top Gun Maverick. Yeah.
Covino
Oh, Camino's the man. Okay, cool. Yeah, finally.
Danny G
Five years later, I probably won't. I just wanted to say that for the applause.
Rich Davis
Your Yankees stink, but you're the man.
Covino
Thank you, but I'll watch something.
Danny G
Val Kilmer.
Covino
They have a whole Remembering Val section on Amazon Prime. If we all have Amazon. Right? So Top Gun Val, Deja vu, Tombstone, Kill me again, Pay Dirt, Top Gun, Real genius, the Saint, the Doors movie. Everything is right there in a little Val Kilmer section on Amazon prime for you to watch now on Netflix. I hate to bring up these shows because I'll talk about them and I get excited and since you're like Canelo Alvarez, I feel like it makes me know that you're not gonna watch it.
Danny G
Well, it just depends. Go ahead.
Covino
It's called Million Dollar Secret. What is the huffing for? What's the huff? Who are you? What do you.
Danny G
It already sounds like garbage. Yeah. Rich Livestream.
Ryan Music
Million Dollar Secret.
Covino
I look at you and I think you're garbage. Secret.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Danny G
Wow. Wow, that's great.
Ryan Music
Got him.
Danny G
You just called spot garbage on national radio.
Rich Davis
Thanks.
Danny G
Just so you know, you trash bag, can't wait to hear this quality programming.
Ryan Music
You'Re about to share with us.
Covino
Listen, I'm all cut up on Temptation island, so. Even better, I needed something else. Temptation Island.
Danny G
Don't see Ryan. Just go.
Covino
I like to watch young hotties that are like, I have to have sex. Come on. Yeah.
Danny G
No, he has more hub.
Covino
Dude, that's what it's called.
Danny G
He has morals and integrity.
Covino
Yeah. Well, anyway, this show is interesting. If you like shows that are competition. Your girlfriend, like big brother, she's the person that watches that.
Danny G
Why don't you bring her into this? If you take ownership of your weak ass show.
Covino
It's not a weak ass show. It's a cool show.
Danny G
Dollar Secret.
Covino
All right, here's the premise. There's 12 strangers that are in a house. And the characters, they. These humans, these real people that they cast it are fantastic. All walks of life, one person has a million dollars in their suitcase. The other 11 people have nothing. And it's a game of manipulation. Like, you have to pretend that you don't have the money because once everyone starts voting everyone off, the last person there wins the million dollars. And there's little silly challenges. Like in episode one, I'll give it away. The person was given the opportunity. Like, yeah, you're going to get extra votes at the elimination if you can incorporate these song lyrics into regular conversation.
Danny G
You gave it away. Now, now I'm not watching.
Jeff T
Oh, no.
Covino
Spoiler alert.
Rich Davis
Oh, no.
Covino
Oops.
Danny G
Man, you know what? Yeah. All right. Anything else?
Rich Davis
That's all I got.
Covino
I was thinking about starting this, but now I want to slap all of you. I want to take. Remember the bushwhackers in wrestling? I want to take your heads and do a double noggin knocker. So there's a show on Netflix called the Resonance. Now it's Shonda Rhimes of your wife. You know, if you guys watch Scandal and Grey's Anatomy and all that, isn't that all Shonda Rhimes?
Danny G
She related to Busta or.
Covino
No, no, Leanne. So Shonda Rhimes has that show, the Residents. It's still trending. It's like a murder mystery in the White House. Maybe watch that. But clearly my takes are not winning here. So let me pass it along to Danny G. What you got, Danny?
Rich Davis
I'll start with sports. Do not forget, Final four time tomorrow. Auburn, Florida, then Duke in Houston. We started the show talking Western Conference. Mavericks at the Clippers two nights in a row. Coming up, coming up tonight and tomorrow night and then Sunday, Lakers at the Thunder. That's going to be awesome.
Danny G
No, that's a good one.
Rich Davis
And then really quick second season of 1923 on Paramount. Plus it's been epic. And their two hour grand finale is this Sunday.
Danny G
Well, these guys would never.
Rich Davis
Couple things.
Danny G
New season of Love on the Spectrum. If you like a really endearing reality show. That's a hard time. It's so heartfelt.
Covino
The first thing you said I wanted to pounce at, but I can't pounce.
Danny G
Some characters and previous or people from the previous season, some new people following their story. It's such a beautiful thing to watch. Just saying. Love on the spectrum. Spectrum. What else I was gonna say, of course I'll be watching White Lotus. Oh, yeah. I can't wait. Can't wait. Watching Daredevil, man. Is it any good? It's fantastic.
Covino
Watch Daredevil and watch Reacher. Those are the only two shows you should be watching. Such a great, dumbest, yet awesome show. So unrealistic and awesome. What you got? Music, Anything?
Ryan Music
I want to start the studio on Apple tv. Everyone's raving about it, so that's going to be on my list of something to get going this weekend. In addition to.
Danny G
I'm really looking forward to seeing you. That's the Seth Rogen thing. Deep. Okay. Okay. If you're a fan of the. Of the Bacon, Kevin Bacon, he's got a new movie out on Amazon prime called the Bondsman. It's like, where he is a bounty hunter book for the devil. I think it's supposed to be, like, sort of comical, but I. I think we.
Covino
We covered the grounds here. We did a lot of fun stuff to watch. And I agree with you, Cooper Flag on Saturday night. That's must watch. All right. Hey, thank you, Colin, for letting us fill in love, hanging on the herd, and anything you miss. And we'll see you guys back here Monday in our regular time. Have a great weekend. Arrivederci, baby.
Danny G
See you in the promised land.
Jeremy Hobson
We live in a divided country, and our media couldn't be more polarizing. That's why we started the Middle with Jeremy Hobson.
