Hey, it's Alec Baldwin. This season on my podcast, here's the thing. I talked to composer Mark Shaman. It's about the hang. It's the pleasure of hanging out with the people that you're with. You know, Rob and I was always a great hang. And journalist Chris Whipple. Every White House staffer, they work in a bubble called the West Wing. And it's exponentially more so in the Trump White House. Listen to the new season of here's the thing on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts if they
Shakur Stevenson
want to make it happen. I'm down, but I know for.
Fat Joe
Oh, shit. I didn't know we was out here brokering fights. Hard rock bets, yo, Devin Haney. What's up? Hard rock bets, yo, Devin Haney. But it got called out Beloved.
Jada
Foreign.
Fat Joe
Let's get ready to rumble. What's up, y'? All? This your boy, Joe? Crap the dog.
Jada
It's your boy Jada. You know what it is, the Joe and Jada show. Every show legendary, every show iconic. And we demolish your show. You think of today's guest, think of Newark, New Jersey, you know what I mean? You think of Olympic medalist, five time world champion, number three, pound for pound, greatest fighter in the world. Undefeated professional record, multi division world title, hottest young fighter on the planet.
Fat Joe
Fucking right.
Jada
Just made history in the world's greatest arena. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for some call. Stevie.
Fat Joe
Hello.
Shakur Stevenson
What up? What up?
Jada
Welcome to the Joe with Jada show. My brother, you put on a hell of a spectacular performance. Now, we fan of boxers, we fans of yours. We had Eddie earn lawyer. And after speaking to him and having him on the interview, he maybe look at the fight in a different way. But you know, people love boxing for different things. Some people want to see an excited fight, some people want to see some crazy stuff happen. This, that, but that. If you learn about the sport, you can learn the difference in different boxes. I was already a fan of yours when he broke down. What you do and how you do and if you was to just be you in that fight, what was going to happen? And everything he said, I was in my crib going, holy sh. This is fucking crazy. He's like, it made him look like a summa cum laude boxing. And you put on a spectacular. You know what I mean? And he like, it's not going to be. It's going to be born. But his Shakur is not going to get hit. He's going to meet the other guy and everything. I'm like, yo, this is fucking amazing. How he said, nah, man, that's maybe that's why he's in his profession. And we do what we do, but congratulations, there's none.
Fat Joe
But did you play that out just the way it went in your head?
Shakur Stevenson
I knew it was a tough fight. Like, I knew he was a good fighter, but every time I sat there, I watched him, I'm like, shit, he makes so much mistakes to it. I'm going to capitalize off of every mistake. So honestly, everything I seen on film and how I played, what I was going to do, it happened. On fighting everything, like from first round to 12, I knew how it was going to be. But he a good fighter. I give him respect and I appreciate him for the opportunity.
Fat Joe
So respecting him.
Shakur Stevenson
But you know, I always got.
Fat Joe
He gets tired of me saying, the same story all the time. Famous fight. Floyd Mayweather, one of the greatest of all time. Maybe Grace. He was losing this fight to some Mexican guy in about the six rounds. He switched up the whole shit on him and won it at the end. When he won, he started talking about the old video tips. Jack Dempsey, this, that. I had to switch it up like this and this and that, or you going there. If you play it out of your head. Suppose he switched up the whole shit on you. What would. How would you have adjusted to him switching up his whole. Cause if I was a boss, I would have switched up the whole shit. I would have been like, okay, I know he got my number like this. I gotta do something different.
Shakur Stevenson
If I'm being real with you, it's nothing he could have did that night that was gonna change the outcome of what I was doing. Like, I already had my mindset on me dominating this fight, me winning this fight. So it didn't matter what he did. I was gonna be me. I was gonna be him that night.
Fat Joe
I thought the way I always think about it, right? I used to say, back in the days, the guy was Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson, to put you to sleep quick. Yeah. And I always said, yo, if I have to fight Mike Tyson, like in the street club, whatever, I got the hook on him so fast that hopefully get lucky, yo.
Shakur Stevenson
Nah, I ain't gonna lie. That wasn't the best bet.
Fat Joe
Oh, no. He was gonna knock me out. But if I try to fight with him or box or something like this, I'm done. So, like, the problem with Teofimo, right? Who's a great boxer besides his father? His father's a whole problem. No, it's real talk. His father is not. He gotta go. Pops gotta go. Pop's gotta go. He was in the corner. I watched the fight. He's in the corner. Yo, fight back. Do something. That's not a plan. Not crazy.
Jada
And see, he was in the other corner. So you probably.
Fat Joe
No, no, but he watching. You can't relate. You watching that whole fight. I noticed that about you. No, you watching the corner, his dad was you like this.
Jada
The craziest things to him.
Fat Joe
You're losing fight, you're losing fight. What the is that? I need somebody to say, left jab, cross body. What the fuck is that?
Shakur Stevenson
My only thing about this, though, when he been doing this, his dad been doing this. Tio's been just good enough to be able to get away with this shit.
Fat Joe
No, no, no. But with somebody like you, it had to be. He had to respect somebody's opinion. And he had to have a real coach game with a game plan.
Shakur Stevenson
I'm not gonna lie. It wasn't gonna make a no, but you gotta guarantee, y', all, anybody, you
Fat Joe
gotta understand, Mick at least could have been something. Because the problem that happened with Tiafimo, right, he got his ass. Hold up. They gassed him, right? So he was ring fighter number one fighter.
Shakur Stevenson
He wasn't gassed, though. He was a good fighter.
Fat Joe
Listen what I'm saying. He. No, they gassed him and called him number one. It looked like he was.
Shakur Stevenson
He was so good fighter.
Fat Joe
You number one. He's thinking, he's going jab for jab, move for move, technique for technique. That's where he got it all for. That's what happened with you. Fabulous on that versus. We never talk about that. Fab tried to go in there and put freestyles and all that where he should have just been doing the fucking hit mania. He went to your game plan. You understand what I'm saying? So when you. He tried to prove that he believed it. Yo, I got enough skills, Shakur Stevenson. I could go jab for jab. He fucked up. He should have went in there and tried to, like, puff you up or something, but he.
Shakur Stevenson
He's used to having enough skills to where he fight guys and he's in control. Like, he's used to doing things that's like, yeah, he's.
Fat Joe
Well, every now and then, you gotta elevate. Just like, we gotta elevate every now and then you gotta look at yourself, Him. I'm hoping he's a. He's a great fighter. He could look at it. Whether he can't fuck with you or not, let me say, you got to. He got to look at his corner, and he needs to step up that
Jada
every now and then.
Fat Joe
Fuck that. You gotta let him finish. Talk.
Jada
What's up with Bud? How important was Bud to you for this fight? And, you know, in your career, period?
Shakur Stevenson
Yo, it's crazy. He kind of gave me, like. I ain't going to say he gave me the gameplay, but he kind of text me something that kind of helped.
Jada
That's official.
Shakur Stevenson
So when he texted to me and I looked at what he said, but I've been watching him, and I already was thinking the same thing. It kind of confirmed what I knew. So I'm like, okay, just stick with this. Stick with this on fight night, and it's going to bother him. And then on fight night, when I did that shit, I'm like, damn, this shit. Is fucking him up. He cannot stop this shit. This is by. He didn't know what to do. Like his mind just went into a whole.
Fat Joe
I'm tell you how you really saw me.
Jada
Didn't you land the most amount of jabs?
Shakur Stevenson
I don't know.
Fat Joe
I'm going to tell you one of the stops. If I was Tia female. I'll tell you what to me up. You smiling the whole that shit would have had me dumb type. You smiling on like that. I would have been. I'd have to bring the machete out in the ring it. The whole place is going down in that bitch that you smiling at him bossing his ass now with.
Jada
With a fight like it's. No, it's not a. You landed 252 jabs.
Shakur Stevenson
Damn.
Fat Joe
Holy.
Jada
Somebody made some noise for that. I thought I landed that most in my last fight. It was. It was two. It was two thirty something street fight. Two hundred and thirty something.
Fat Joe
Come on now.
Jada
Two hundred and thirty two jabs.
Fat Joe
I don't believe that.
Shakur Stevenson
It's a long ass.
Fat Joe
I believe you racing cocky car up the block. Faster than the 230 jab. You know, I once beat up a karate king. You seen your man? I'm not saying that. Kidding me? I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that. No, no, no.
Jada
I put some niggas down too.
Fat Joe
Knocked him out. Yo, Yonkers. I touched the pavement when we was talking about you. Yo, you on your shit today. He must have smoked some shit from Cali. He still got Cali.
Jada
I'm fasting.
Fat Joe
He still got Cali with him.
Jada
Fasting, brother.
Fat Joe
You fasting beloved man, that's great, man. I fast too. I fast. You ever seen fat fat joe 500?
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
Yeah, like real looking. Like the kingpin.
Shakur Stevenson
Lean back.
Fat Joe
Yeah, I lost all that fast once a week, Keto, you know, I'm pitching to shut out, man. No glizzies.
Jada
I'm doing just fine at the game tonight.
Fat Joe
Tuna fish salad. I'm not.
Jada
Thanks for going. Diet Pepsi maybe.
Fat Joe
Yeah, yeah. I snuck in the dire sunk just here too. That's part of the. It's going. I'm going. Leaning back. I'm going light. But I'm getting back on the stuff. It's bad, but you know, I'm working on it. You know, you see, I'm drinking water. You know what I'm saying? In any case, I seen something and we know it. I don't care where it's at. Where you go, whatever. When a Puerto Rican see that flag somewhere I don't care if I'm driving in the highway and there's a flag out the project window. It's something. It's like the Batman side. Let me ask the brother, why did you put the Puerto Rican flag on your shorts?
Shakur Stevenson
See, I put it on my shorts because, like, people don't realize I am, like, that's my blood. So, like, I, Like, I'm.
Fat Joe
You're Puerto Rican? Yeah. That's my blood. Yes. Stop.
Shakur Stevenson
But let me explain it, though. Now, let me explain it, though. Let me explain it, though.
Fat Joe
My dad knew you had that.
Shakur Stevenson
My dad is Puerto Rican. So I never really. But I never really got to really be around him, like, my entire life. He wasn't in my life, so I get it. It was hard to, like, really claim that I'm Puerto Rican or even say it, because, like, I really am. But I don't know my dad. But when I got to meet him, then I got to, like, building a relationship with him. He died. So it's like, I never really kind of. You feel me? So for me, it was hard to really, like, have that. Like, just embrace it. But now I'm like, fuck it. It is what it is. Part of my blood is part of who I am and let it be known.
Fat Joe
And we popping b. Fuck talking a
Jada
new cousin right here.
Fat Joe
You know, we in the fluidity camp. Nah, let me tell you something, man. I was so proud of that flag on there. But sometimes you got black boxes that grew up with so many Puerto Ricans that when you go to the gym, they'll have a Puerto Rican flag. Like, even Floyd used to have the Puerto Rican flag. Rihanna, but he wasn't Puerto Rican. But when I seen that, I said, man, I gotta see what this about right here, because we need that in the city system.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
You know, we. We. You know, Puerto Ricans. My moms and pops, they. My moms used to throw a party if it rains.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
No, my projects. It's raining. Okay. Bring out the pending. It's on out here South. South Wednesdays. Like, the. They throw a party for everything, but in a similar way. My father's Cuban. Yeah. But I grew up with the Puerto Ricans up here. Cuban family was more in Miami.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
And so a lot of Cuban fans be like, yo, you say you Cuban now, but you wasn't really. You was, like, 100% Puerto Rican. I always knew my Cuban family, but I grew up with my puerto Ricans. Say 90% of my life. 95.
Shakur Stevenson
Like me.
Fat Joe
Yeah, like you. But we proud of you. Brother, either way, man, you are pound for pound the best in the game. And the only guy I would compare to be the best in the game would be Budget.
Brianna Stewart
Yeah.
Fat Joe
And he retired.
Shakur Stevenson
Yep.
Fat Joe
And I don't feel like you ducking nobody. I see you, you. You started smiling at him, ducking him.
Jada
What's up with Connor, Ben?
Fat Joe
Oh, man. Oh man. Is he good or is it hype? Cause he look mean.
Shakur Stevenson
Nah, I think it's hype. He's not like no skillful fighter. He's not. He don't know shit. His knowledge is limited. His game plan will be to just use size. Like use size and bully me or some shit. But like, far as knowledge and skill and all of the shit that I've been working on since fucking Yeha, he don't have that. He don't know what that is. So it's a cool fight, but it's
Jada
levels, let me tell you.
Fat Joe
Levels.
Jada
He always say, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. I knew you was going to be something special. I seen a clip of you young.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Jada
You lost.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Jada
The ladies interviewing you, you answer. But your past. You was like crying. Yeah, I'm like, this, this. He got a different type of. He's a different type of animal dog from a little. From a young. And like that.
Shakur Stevenson
He.
Jada
It was so passionate to him. Like, he's gonna be the champ. He's gonna be one of them ones.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah, for sure.
Jada
When it. It meant so much to you at that age, you knew what winning was. That's why you here with you right now.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah, I appreciate that.
Jada
So I felt something.
Fat Joe
I like, you know, all the great ones with that real talk.
Shakur Stevenson
I ain't gonna lie. You had. You walked a fighter out that I fought. And I remember I'm in the ring and your song came on. That shit came out fire. I was nervous as hell. I'm like, oh, this how it was? Jamel Herring.
Jada
Oh, yeah, man.
Shakur Stevenson
And I forgot what song you play. I'm like, the arena went crazy soon.
Jada
It didn't work out well.
Shakur Stevenson
Nah. I whipped his ass, but I was nervous. I'm like, oh, shit.
Fat Joe
They came out like, actually, that plays a part in the psyche.
Shakur Stevenson
Nah, it don't really play a part. But at that moment, it felt like, damn, he kind of outdid me right now.
Fat Joe
You know, we the first rappers to ever bring a boxer in the ring. We ever, ever, ever. Me and Big Pun, we brought out Felix Trinidad against De La Hoya ever. Damn, I ain't even know that. And so we Performed dead in the middle of Little Lip. Me and Big Pun, when we came out, we seen the eyes in that arena, they was like, yo, at the time, we the most popping. We got the. You know, he's still my idol, Felix Trinidad. And, man, what a fucking honor that shit was. Did he win? Huh?
Shakur Stevenson
Did he win?
Fat Joe
Yeah, he beat De La Hoya. You know, De La Hoya do a lot of weird shit now, but he ain't duck nobody, and he was a great champion, and so we gotta salute him. But now he's like, you know, he's like, all the gangsta niggas, like, I watched Instagram and all the gangster niggas I used to respect look crazy on the Instagram. You be like, yo, I thought this was the realest ever. That looking like a dodo bird right now.
Jada
I didn't feel bringing YFN Lucci out.
Shakur Stevenson
Oh, no, it was amazing. I love that because, like, his story and like, I think it was more so, like, the respect level was kind of there. And I with him, actually.
Jada
Yeah, he fired.
Shakur Stevenson
I like when I meet like, like, like people like y'. All, like, y' all famous, but y', all, like, level headed, like, regular people. Like, I can have a conversation with y' all type shit.
Fat Joe
I can.
Shakur Stevenson
What you mean?
Fat Joe
No, no. Like, any nigga or girl that think they too much. Yeah, I'm allergic.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
Bruno Mars. If I go to. If I go. Bruno Mars. Exact. Bruno Mars, half Puerto Rican. When I went to him, I went up to the Bruno, man, Bruno, man, you touched the nerve. I went up to him that, yo, we had a war show. I'm like, yo, you Puerto Rican. He was like, yo, I'm a real Puerto Rican. Don't ever ask me no shit. My dad from Bushwick, this and that. He got up, he definitely was high like on some other shit. And I waited my whole life to meet Bruno Mars. Cause he's half Puerto Rican. And that man let me down so bad.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
And I seen Julie Greenwald, she tried to check me, like, you know, he signed to them. And she was like, yo, Jo. I said, you know, that boy must have been on some. Some shit, because I'm telling you what he did.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
I ain't gonna get up here and tell you what Bruno Mars did. And he ain't do it. That he bugged out. But now that's like Lucci, though.
Shakur Stevenson
Lucci was a good person. Like, y' all kind of remind me of, like, that energy.
Fat Joe
I don't do it. And if somebody full of shit and all that. I walk the other way. I look the other way. I don't even want to be on.
Shakur Stevenson
I don't even fuck with them niggas.
Fat Joe
So we go on. There we go, All Star Weekend. We going into the game and some celebrities who think, yo, I don't know what y' all think. Let me tell you something. We all human.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
God is the greatest. And we, you know, if you like me, you came from shit facts, from nothing welfare. So we can't. You can't tell me about my struggle and your struggle. All right, fine. We all the same kind of people. If you. I tell people all the time, I'd be like, yo, Joe, you humble. I'm like, how am I supposed to be?
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
Because I don't know how to be another way. I don't even like people like that. I don't like celebrities that treat people like shit. I don't like celebrities that think they better than everybody. That shit there is the biggest turn off I ever seen in the world. You could be the most beautiful girl in the world. You think your shit don't stink? Look, go over there. Don't come by this smelling great guy. Fire.
Shakur Stevenson
Fire. Nah. It was a great collab, and I enjoyed doing business with them. I actually got to meet them. They came by the hotel and they showed a lot of love, so I appreciate them, too. We put together a great fit for this fight. And as the fights go on, I'm gonna keep getting better with my fits
Jada
and everything, so hopefully bring Kiss out.
Fat Joe
Oh, you want to come out now? You was performing for Darren Grant. He got his ass knocked through the road around Darren Grant. Let me tell you something.
Jada
Make it up, babe.
Fat Joe
Not a man come out. He gotta come out with that. You.
Jada
You did.
Fat Joe
Y' all cousins, that when you come out for him, you gotta do that one right there.
Shakur Stevenson
National tv.
Fat Joe
Shout out. My brother, Edgar Balanga, man.
Shakur Stevenson
He's my brother right there, man.
Fat Joe
That's my brother. He always try to come out to my lifestyle, and the TV always said he can't do it. I got a song called Y' All Wanna. It's Too Gangster.
Jada
Oh, and I won't let him.
Fat Joe
No, sir.
Jada
Because you got to send the lyrics, right?
Fat Joe
No, sir. They won't let him now. They wouldn't let them. They wouldn't let him. He tried 20 fights to come out to my lifestyle. They'd be like, nah, we can't. It's too much killing and shit.
Shakur Stevenson
Eggle my dog, though. I ain't gonna lie.
Jada
That's my Dog, how important is giving back to the community shit?
Shakur Stevenson
That shit mean everything. I enjoy, like the kids that's like coming up in the situations that I'm coming up with. Like, for me, I had like bought tickets for them and it kind of got publicized.
Fat Joe
I usually don't doing is to do
Shakur Stevenson
it publicly do it. I usually. I done been doing this, like, for years and years. But now for me, where it's like, with the kids, it's like I just want to show them, like, it's possible. And that's my main thing, showing them, like, you come from nothing, you come from the slums, but you still can get out of that situation with hard work and dedication. And I try to show them me right there in front and see like, okay, yeah, this is hope.
Jada
This is living.
Fat Joe
I'm not sure if he's a Hall of Famer, but Dave Winfield from the Yankees. Shout out. Dave Winfield. We used to get in Yankee Stadium with the Dave Winfield Foundation. I seen that man. It was at a Jordan party in la. And I dove on his car, like, yo, Dave Winfield, he knew who I was too. He is a Hall of Famer. I dove on his car. Yo, I used to go to Yankee game. Cause of you.
Shakur Stevenson
I like his car.
Fat Joe
No, but what I'm trying to tell you, we talking about, it was one of the most humbling things I ever did because I lost my mind. This man used to give us tickets to our community center to go to Yankee Stadium. For us, Yankee Stadium was like just winning, seeing green grass. The Bronx ain't got green grass. We got the brown shit. You go in Yankee Stadium, that shit. Bronx ain't got green grass.
Jada
Yeah, got that same shit.
Fat Joe
The Browns, the brown shit. You go in Yankee Stadium, that shit green. It's a vibe in there. So, you know, shout out to all the athletes that do that. You know what's crazy? I was just with the philanthropy team, I'm working on something really, really big. And you know what's crazy is just now I was walking over here, I just met with Mike Brinkley, know, And I said to myself, walking over here, I said, this is why God bless you. Because you're always thinking about the community, you're always thinking about the people. And there is no price tag. There is nothing. You know what I'm saying? If we could definitely help and feed people in our community and all that, that's the biggest thing you could do in the world.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah, that was my thing with it too. It's like I never really had nobody to come Back to Newark and stand in front of me and see, like. I always heard of, like. And there's no disrespect to Shaq. I fuck with Shaq. He from Newark. But I always heard about Shaq being from Newark. And I heard about his. I used to go to his movie theater and all that shit, but I never really got to see him, like, up close and personal to be like, okay, it's possible, like, I could keep doing what I'm doing. But now for me, it's like, shit, I gotta do that for the kids. Like, I got to, like, that's my main objective in life. Like, let them know, like, you could get up out of there, like.
Fat Joe
And that's where it's at. You know, you pass away God, God willing, 150 years from you. And the pastor's gonna say, all your achievements in the ring. But they really gonna talk about how you help the people. Yeah, motivate the people, Give back to the people. They're not gonna say, yo, he had a Rolls Royce. They're not gonna talk all that shit. Yeah, they gonna talk about what you do for the people, how you inspired the community, how you helped the people, how you gave back. That right there to me is everything. You know, I've been doing that. I've been rapping, what, 30 something years, little bit longer. I've been doing this for a while. And whether it's a little thing like giving computers to school or giving whatever I lend a hand in all the time. I got something real big coming in this year. Philanthropy. Really big coming.
Jada
How the hell did you get into pickle?
Fat Joe
Oh, man, how Marty Supreme. Is that? Marty Supreme? Pickleball.
Shakur Stevenson
How I got into pickleball, huh?
Jada
That's ping pong, man. Let's hear about it.
Shakur Stevenson
Nah, nah, nah. I got into it with J. Prince.
Jada
Oh, word?
Shakur Stevenson
No cap.
Fat Joe
J.
Shakur Stevenson
Prince.
Fat Joe
OG Is nice, and he nice, I swear to God.
Shakur Stevenson
But he introduced me to pickleball. And when he introduced it to me, I'm like, it's. I. And then I kept playing. I'm like, man, I gotta get better at this shit. I don't like how he better than me. Like, he older and he way better than me so much. I kind of got like a little obsessive about it. And I started playing, like on my free time and shit. But it's actually a fun ass game,
Fat Joe
yo. Today's show is brought to you by our presented sponsor, Hard Rock BET Florida Sports Book.
Jada
Yeah, I mean, I know it's tough out here with no football. But don't worry, we gonna make with Hard Rock Bet. There's always something to bet on every night. Hoops, hockey, and so much more.
Fat Joe
Plus all the great same gay parlay action, live betting, and the player prop options you already know and love.
Jada

Brianna Stewart
You saw the kkk.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah. They was dressed up in their uniform. The KKK set out to raid Charlie,
Fat Joe
take him away from here. Charlie was an example of power.
Shakur Stevenson
They had to crush him.

Fat Joe
How do you get tight with J. Prince? Coming from Newark, and he's from out in Texas.
Shakur Stevenson
Really? Andre Ward. Cause remember Andre Ward? Andre Ward was my favorite boxer, so I used to go to his training camps and shit. But he was managing. I mean, J. Prince was managing Andre Ward at the Time. And I met him through him. But then it's another guy, Antonio Leonard, that's like my family now. And he introduced me to Jay. For real. For real. Like, outside of Oakland. We went to Houston, man. I met him in a club and I got. Actually, yo, it's crazy. I probably was like, what, 17, 18. I'm not supposed to be in the club, but I go through there, and they like, shit, you good. You with J. Prince. And they take me to a back room and shit. He in the back playing pool with one hand. I'm sitting there, I'm seeing this. He cool as hell and shit. But damn, I actually got to conversate with him. And as I got to meet him, more and more like, he a real nigga. Like, that's a real. Like, I with that nigga.
Fat Joe
Like, he sure is.
Shakur Stevenson
And then that's my family. For real.
Fat Joe
He's a legend. He's a. He's super real. He opened many doors. And he got his own island.
Shakur Stevenson
Oh, yeah. I didn't for sure. I done been there.
Fat Joe
I use it. I tell him all the time, I don't get jealous. Yeah, I get inspired, for sure. So when people that look like us get to certain levels, I look at that like, I tell you the truth, I'm like, miss something. I don't know if I could ever own the island. That's owning the ludicrous on the island, too.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
That nigga, I seen him at allstar. He said, man, you always blowing me up with my. He on the island. How you on the island? J. Prince on the island, man.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah.
Fat Joe
That's crazy, though. Like, think about it. I don't. I own a lot of things. I don't know. God willing, God bless. I don't know if I'm gonna own an island. Like, an island is like, that's crazy.
Shakur Stevenson
No, for sure.
Fat Joe
Boxers. You said Andre Ward inspire you. Who's some other boxes that inspired you? And they ain't gotta be your way of fighting, just boxes that you always looked up to.
Shakur Stevenson
Floyd Mayweather, Terence Crawford, Penell Whitaker, Sugar Ray Leonard. Man, I fuck with Usyk. I like Usyk right now. Like Usyk Bavar. I like them overseas dudes. They kind of know boxing at a different level kind of shit.
Fat Joe
So, you know, I'm the Tyson Fury of hip hop.
Shakur Stevenson
You the Tyson Fury?
Fat Joe
Oh, yeah.
Shakur Stevenson
Tyson Fury.
Fat Joe
You know, I'm flabby, you know, I ain't got no muscles, but I knock you out. Like, don't play with me. See, the biggest misconception with Fat Joe is. He's Fat Joe. You think he gonna bear hug you? No, I'm coming with the fluidity. I'm coming with that diddy bop on you, boy. I'm like a fat skinny guy. I'm not gonna grab you. We just gonna go pound for pound, toe to toe. Anybody touch the canvas, you lost.
Shakur Stevenson
So you got hands.
Fat Joe
I used to have hands. I'm not gonna front like I got hands now. I had hands.
Jada
He got a bad leg.
Fat Joe
We go, we go, we go. Project against project. Yeah, okay. The home. Project against project. They say, bring out your best guy. I'm not lying to you. They bring out Fat Joe, and then they bring out some diesel guy from the other project, like, yo, I'm just fat. Why I gotta fight this guy? Six packed up, ready. I got him every time. Let me tell you, I had that fluidity. You was undefeated, huh?
Shakur Stevenson
You was undefeated.
Fat Joe
No, I got my ass whipped a million times. Are you crazy? But that's why I don't understand, right? I don't want to stand. I knew this guy. Fake gangster guy, huh?
Jada
I'm talking to two time and felon.
Fat Joe
Let me tell you, I'm a street guy, right? Real street guy. Respected by the legends in the street. Only thing I did was rap, right? And there's some guys that people respected and they were gangsters, did a little time, whatever, and they was running around here like they tough. They got they ass whipped one time and never came back outside. I don't know where that happens. I used to come outside every day with black eyes, big nose, big. I don't give a fuck. These guys retired, like so called, like so called tough guys. They acting like you know who you are. You got your ass whipped. You ain't come back outside, you pussy. Nah, we can't. We making too many legends out there. Cause you making me call bum niggas out and giving them a name in the street and they're. Yeah, you know. You know, niggas is famous for getting they ass whipped by Fat Joe, too. You walking rich, player dared. There's places. Look, I love all of you. I respect all the legends, all the street guys. But there's places where the old school street guys go, you know, it's like Cheers, where, yo, this is Taka 147, this is the God Jaime. Still to this day, there's bars that you could go, and everybody who has something going on, go. Any given Sunday, you walk in there and be like, yo, that's Andy, the guy Fat Joe beat the Shit out of, and he pressed charges on him. There's always one. And every one of those joints you walk in, rich player walked in, they was like, yo, don't look down. Guy who told on Joey when he beat him up. You know, that was 30 years ago. Richard, please don't stare at them. This, this, that. You know, it's people you beat up and, you know, they become legends because you beat them up. Who's the toughest fighter you ever fought?
Shakur Stevenson
Toughest fighter I ever fought. Probably William Zepeda. William Zepeda, the Mexican that I fought on the card with Edgar that night.
Fat Joe
Yeah, dude, Yeah, I seen he was fighting you.
Shakur Stevenson
Dude was tough. I ain't gonna lie. That was a tough fight. He was willing to do whatever it took to win a fight. So, hello, that let me know, like, yeah, you was tough, but, I mean, I dominated, but, shit, it was me. Other niggas there. Feel that nigga. Like, they gonna understand that. That nigga, he a real gangster. Like, no bullshit. He coming in there, he. He stepping. I don't care who it is, he
Fat Joe
coming with that shit.
Jada
What's next outside the ring for you?
Shakur Stevenson
Outside the ring? Nah, I be messing with my young fighters. So shout out to Zaquin Moses and Emmanuel Chance, my little cousin and them not my little blood brother, but like, my little brother. But they fighting in April, and that's gonna be next. That's what I'm really gonna be focused on, helping them get ready for their fights and making sure they well prepared that night.
Fat Joe
No doubt.
Jada
That's fire.
Fat Joe
I met Tank, like, he was 12. He was down with Floyd Mayweather. Yeah, he was a baby. Yeah. And he was like, yo, this is gonna be the one. That's gonna be the one. And he mentored him up to, you know, he became the man. Why you looking at me like that, Jada? I'm just looking at you, my brother. This guy, he's a funny dude, bro. Let me tell you something. So that was your toughest fight. Is there any records you're out to break? Is there anything that you got your eye on that you like? Yo, I gotta have that. That's something I need to do.
Shakur Stevenson
They fucked up. What I really could have did, but I was gonna have two belts in one weight class. And I wanted to be able to, like, go, really do what I wanted. But they stripped me out of my belt at 135 pounds. Really? For no reason, but, like, a money.
Jada
Is that like some fake extortion shit going on with.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah, it is. It is, right? It is.
Fat Joe
It's like, break that down, both of y'. All. Break it down. Cause I'm confused.
Shakur Stevenson
When you win a belt, I gotta learn.
Fat Joe
I'm trying to learn.
Shakur Stevenson
When you win a belt, you gotta pay to be able to keep your belt.
Fat Joe
So I paid free. Ain't nothing free.
Jada
And then keep one more.
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah, yeah. No. What they did to me is fucked up. Cause when I fought Williams apeda for the 135 title, I paid them after the fight. After that I got. I moved up for the teofimo fight at 140lbs. They belt don't got nothing to do with that fight. But they're asking me for double of what I paid them after my last fight.
Jada
They won that fight for me to
Shakur Stevenson
go up to 140 pounds and keep my belt. I gotta pay double that shit only. But they really got mad at Terrence Crawford.
Fat Joe
He exposed.
Shakur Stevenson
They had a real beef with them and then they tried to take it out on me, so. But I really don't even like speaking on that shit. It is what it is.
Fat Joe
Yeah, yeah. It's similar to the Hollywood Walker fence. Breaking news, guys. I hate to tell y'. All. You pay for that. Guys, you request, can I know that star and you pay. I don't know the fence. I don't know the father shots. No.
Jada
You know, when you get a star,
Fat Joe
it ain't like you won the Grammy.
Jada
Yeah, you copped it.
Shakur Stevenson
And you.
Fat Joe
Yo, it ain't like you didn't know that our two time a felon. They ain't teach you that. I'm gonna start then.
Jada
You gotta pay a housekeeper to keep these up the park. Yeah.
Fat Joe
You can't come through and sign your own star for no reason. Yeah. By the way, you buy that shit, basically. So when they be like, oh, I'm supposed. How did I ever win?
Shakur Stevenson
And you gotta pay more taxes on. Man, hell no.
Fat Joe
They're gonna get mad at me. Because it ain't like you pull up. You know, you pull up and you be like, oh, my God, I want us. They be acting like that.
Jada
Let's go half on.
Fat Joe
Fuck that. Does somebody want to sponsor my star out there?
Jada
Let's go have a star on the
Fat Joe
Joe and Jada star. Can someone. You know, we legendary, by the way. I don't know if you know, fuck rap. This show right here is killing these people. Like they want to commit suicide. We should hand out razor blades and cyanide to the other podcasters. They're getting their ass whipped. This shit is turnkey. We Opened the door, and now look. Shakur season ASAP. Ferg was just on. Dr. J was on the game. It's nowhere. We. It's standing room only. In fact, we have a list of people we love and we respect, right? I heard other podcasters say, yo, it's hard to get. Well, we don't. We have a list of a one celebrity standing by. Like, put me in, Coach. Put me in the game. If me and him got it. Yeah, he's cool. I only heard him say one time. Hell, no. And that was my man, too. I ain't gonna say. You want me to say it? You want me to say it? You want me to say it? All right. You don't want me to say it. That was like, hell, no. I was almost like, oh, my God, what did he do to Kiss?
Shakur Stevenson
It was a rapper.
Fat Joe
Yeah. Then he's just like, he's not coming on. I said, whoa. Damn. Kiss ain't with him. Let me just chill. I guess. This. No, Kelly's great. We got to give her our props. She just left. Nah, Kelly, I Kiss, man, he not being realistic. And listen, let me tell you something. I'm proud of everybody on this staff and the contributions y' all bring to the game. Cause if me and Kiss just did this on our own, we definitely wouldn't have had this kind of fluidity. No matter what, we could have hired cameraman. We could have dissed this, whatever. But the way that shit coming in, like I said, turnkey. He guys, this. At first, they was trying to compete. Now they like, yo, let them have it. This shit out of control. Like, these. These guys, we. We might bring the Pope on this shit. This shit out of control right here. Well, you was with Obama, so you
Shakur Stevenson
got to make that happen first.
Fat Joe
Let me tell you about the Obama, okay?
Shakur Stevenson
Obama.
Fat Joe
Don't know how many Spanish people I made vote for Obama before he was famous, okay? When Obama's coming up, I'm out there in every Spanish community, both up on Obama. Obama want a hint that this, this, this. I went beyond, beyond he will ever know, trying to get the Latino community to vote for. I know his wife. I met her 10 times. I never met Obama. I wanted. If you go to any rich person's house, I don't give a fuck who the real rich. The minute you walk in, they got Ronald Reagan, they got Trump, they got Clinton, they got. They got the. That's the biggest, biggest flex in any 20 million plus mansion. They got a president picture with them right there. I got a bunch of president I got Bill Clinton with the ts's on. He's in a little bit of island scandal, but we chilling. We took him off the wall for now, right? Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo. But Obama always wanted that pick. The moral to the story is, I ain't going to lie to you.
Shakur Stevenson
Puerto Rican's really black.
Fat Joe
Maybe Puerto Ricans are black. I'll break that down to you. That's a fact. People that speak Spanish, Paul Mooney said the best. Google this clip. Paul Mooney said they really niggas that talk Spanish.
Shakur Stevenson
That's all it is for sure.
Fat Joe
That's it. And so I go up to. I said, when I'm checking in, they go, obama in there. I don't give a fuck if they have 500. I was getting that pick with Obama. I don't give a fuck. I don't nothing. I just had to walk up with the fluidity. The Secret Service, all the niggas moved out the way like, hey, Joe, how are you? I said, Yeah. I said, Mr. President. His wife embraced me, yo, he's our guy, Fat Joe. I don't even know if Obama knew who Fat Joe was. Like, that Ms. Obama was putting in like, yo, he's our guy, right? Thank you, Ms. Obama. Yo, let's take a pic. By the time I turned around, Obama kept trying to smile for a pick. Every basketball, seven footer was jumping right away, hey, Mr. President. Hey. I mean, it was their shit. About 10 of them, it turned into rich. Player had to, like, start like, yo, my mans, if y' all don't move the fuck out the way, like, we got to get this pick. It was only a second before the Secret Service is like, yo, enough's enough. Like, and I wasn't gonna get my pick. Every seven footer jumped in front of me like, I was like, yo, what type of shit? Everybody wanted that joint, but I got it. I got it. You know what I'm saying? I waited 20 years for that, but I was definitely going straight in that
Jada
all Garcia versus Barrios. He looking like he back in his bag a little, right?
Shakur Stevenson
Yeah. Tell him get in his bag so we could fight.
Fat Joe
And you want to fight him?
Shakur Stevenson
I want to fight all these guys. You name them while I fight them. So, yeah, I think we could make a fight happen. I think that might be next.
Jada
But, Ryan, people would love to see that, man.
Shakur Stevenson
It's the same fucking shit that y' all already know. Take away the fucking left hook. You take away his left hook, he's cooked.
Fat Joe
Move this way.
Shakur Stevenson
Just take it away.
Fat Joe
You know, last time I had the fucking dude up, I said, yo, dude talking shit. Ryan Garcia and my man. Let me ask you the question. Let me ask you the question. Like, what's my man And I'm a fan of his, right?
Jada
You gotta know his name.
Fat Joe
I'm gonna tell you. You know I don't know shit, man. What the fuck is your problem? You know, I'll explain him and you'll tell me who. But I know him. Devin Haney, right? Yeah. Ever since he got touched, he been fighting scared. That is not a lie. That is not none he's doing. He's still so talented to beat these guys, but he been somebody rung his bell to where the man not the same. He not the same. After he. Even though he won the belt, even though he won the last two, three fights, even though this. He's fighting scared. I don't like that. I don't look. What do you think about Devin Haney?
Shakur Stevenson
I think that a scared man is a man that's kind of hard to beat sometimes dangerous. Because when they scared they scariness can help them out in the ring. So, I mean, I think he a solid fighter. He's not a bad fighter. So he definitely knows what he's doing. His dad gonna make sure he comes in shape. So if they want to make it happen, I'm down. But I know for.
Fat Joe
Oh, I didn't know we was out here brokering fights. Hard Rock. Yo, Devin Haney. What's up? Hard Rock Bets. Yo, Devin. Ain't it?
Shakur Stevenson
But it gotta.
Fat Joe
You been called out beloved.
Shakur Stevenson
It gotta make sense. So long as the business and everything makes sense with it, we can make the fight happen.
Fat Joe
Now, I don't respect your answer because I think you want to fight him for the big payday.
Shakur Stevenson
Nah, it ain't the payday, Jeff. At the end of the day, me and him is not at the same weight class. So it gotta go up. I would have to go up.
Fat Joe
You gotta down or.
Shakur Stevenson
Really. Cause now people kind of overrate that big fights need belts, and big fights don't need belts. Sometimes you can meet in the middle.
Jada
So I ain't never.
Fat Joe
I would love. I would love to see that. Canelo and Floyd. I respect that fight.
Shakur Stevenson
Canelo and Floyd, they fought at 152.
Jada
Music.
Fat Joe
What music motivates you? Give me a little 5 playlist. It ain't gotta be the greatest of all time. You in the locker room, you getting ready for prom time. I don't give a fuck what they say. They big on mma. They acted like boxing fell off, but hell no, when boxing got a fight, it's must see tv. Every barn, every bar, every gym. I don't give a fuck where you at, you watching that shit. As much as you try to diss boxing. What are you playing in your headphones on your locker room?
Shakur Stevenson
I'm probably playing like some Meek or probably some 50o Jay Z, Tupac, Kiss, Herb. I'll be going through different, different kind of music.
Fat Joe
So, yeah, last time I knocked the out, I was playing Nori. What, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what? We driving up to the one on one. What, what, what, what, what? Yo, I told a story. I had to fight a guy. He was on America's Most Wanted. So we had to. Man, come on.
Jada
He's not lying. He's not lying. He's not lying. I got a hunted.
Fat Joe
He's.
Jada
He's telling it. There's no fly. It's real shit.
Fat Joe
He was on America's Most Wanted. Fat Joe out of shape, had to fight this guy to eliminate the. You know, the real. You know what I'm saying? So they was like, yo, you gotta fight him. The guy was cocked Diesel in shape and everything, man, I pulled with Joe Crack, man. I don't want to violate. Cause he was the perfect gentleman about it. He was a perfect gentleman about it. But I pulled up, he saw Rich lately and he said, yo, man, I like. He ain't say my name or try to fight.
Jada
He text me, but you know what
Fat Joe
it takes to fight a guy on America's Most Wanted and your famous rapper. Yeah, Imagine I got my ass whooped. That would have went beyond vibe.
Jada
You would have been on America.
Shakur Stevenson
You knocked him up.
Fat Joe
I beat him up bad.
Shakur Stevenson
Bad, right?
Fat Joe
It was just the. My fluidity was a little bit, you know, But I thought I was going to lose. How about that? Oh, yeah.
Shakur Stevenson
That's how I go.
Fat Joe
I come from my brother. Anybody I know? We too old for somebody who grew up with us. No, I wasn't. I'm never scared. Ever, ever, ever, ever. One time I had an argument with a promoter in. In Paris, and they brought in like 10 African dudes. They locked the door like, I'm locked up. I got up and was like, yo, let's get it popping. My DJ always tell me that story. He said, yo, Crack, the dudes came up in there with the gloves and all that. And all I remember is you got up and you was like, yo, so what we doing? Yeah, let's get it popping in this bitch. I've been fighting my whole life. The point is, I thought he was gonna win because he's in perfect shape. I'm really fat, Fat Joe. But I come from watching my brother and my brother. I got a story for y'. All, the Golden Gun. Why can't sell a story? You gotta finish this one first. I come from whoever gets knocked out, gets knocked out. So I stand toe to toe. You knock me out. Nothing I could do. Congratulations, I knocked you out. It is what it. That's it. Toe to toe. I used to watch my brother fight guys toe to toe. Whoever got knocked out, got knocked out. It wasn't no bullshit. I'll tell you a funny story. So nobody believes me, right? Nobody believes me. I keep trying to tell them we was the wildest kids in our age group, but we had no money. So the Kingpins at the time, before I became Kingpin, Kingpins at the time used to come and get Fat Joey to beat up the guys they had beef with. So they'll come and be like, yo, we got a Pele for you. We got three pair of Jordans. We need you to put it on these guys, right? So this one kingpin who was like, ahead of his time. He used to wear Hermes boots, all type of shit. He come get me. He said, yo, Joe, I got a problem. I'm gonna buy you a pellet. I was a cheap hire, too. Like three pair Jordans, a Pele. Come on. And I never cared. I really never cared about human. I really didn't care, right? So I'm with him. I go over and I'm gonna tell you the ave, y'.
Shakur Stevenson
All.
Fat Joe
It was 182nd in Creston, and little did I know, block, no, no big dope. So I go over there. He start arguing with the guy. Now, sometimes, no matter how Kingpin or matter how much dudes you kill, my man Stacy in jail still for 30 some years because they knew he was a killer. But they fronted on him in this building. And it was. He couldn't take it. So he went over there, empty it out on his own hood. Sometimes you don't want to do that to the guys you grew up with. And they take advantage of that. So I go over there and I'm like, this guy's such a kingpin. I'm like, yo, he could just kill this guy. Like, why is he even arguing with him? But he's from that block. So the guy's talking to him. The guy don't even think about me. He not even looking my way. He like, yo, this, this, that. Arguing with him. And I punched that guy in his chin so hard, he went up. Fluidity on the floor over the bike. Boom. Right? I'm like, I'm flubby Fat Joe. I'm like, this. He fall over the bike. I knock him out. Lucky, I'mma give it to y' all now. 182nd, I'm breaking the myth. Hold up. Lucky I knock him out. So the guy I go with is pushing me like, joe, let's go. Joe, let's go. Yo, Joe, let's go. He's taking me to the concourse, and I'm still trying to front. He's like, let's go. He throw me in the cab. I get out of there. Little do I know that this guy was four time Golden Glove champ. The guy I knocked out.
Shakur Stevenson
Damn.
Fat Joe
And the man for 20 years been sending me. I mean, he's old now, but he was sending me messages. Tell Fat Joey y owe me the fair one. Tell Fat Joey he throw his up. No, I snuffed him. Oh, you got blindsided, cheated, whatever the you want over there. They was like in his hood. Jehovah. Fat Joe got his. He knocked out Dr. 137. The man is a four time Fat Joe. Oh. Squared up one on one. They was telling yo that I got
Shakur Stevenson

Guest: Shakur Stevenson
Date: March 10, 2026
Theme: Shakur Stevenson on his dominant performance, mindset, boxing culture, and calling out major opponents
This episode of "The Herd" features hip-hop legends Fat Joe and Jada interviewing boxing phenom Shakur Stevenson. The focus is on Stevenson’s recent dominant win over Teofimo Lopez, the mindset and tactics behind his undefeated career, his Puerto Rican roots, the business and legacy side of boxing, and candid talk about future opponents—especially Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney. The episode is packed with raw, spirited, and funny dialogue, giving listeners deep insight into not only Stevenson’s approach to boxing but also the mentorship, culture, and community behind the sport.
Visualization and Execution
Shakur details how his game plan played out perfectly:
“Every time I sat there, I watched him, I’m like, shit, he make so much mistakes to it. I’m gonna capitalize off of every mistake. So honestly, everything I seen on film and how I played, what I was going to do, it happened.” – Shakur Stevenson [05:04]
Adapting in the Ring
When asked how he’d adjust if Teofimo switched things up:
“If I’m being real with you, it’s nothing he could have did that night that was gonna change the outcome of what I was doing… I was gonna be me.” – Shakur Stevenson [06:19]
Fat Joe on Strategy in Boxing
Fat Joe likens Stevenson’s execution to real-life scenarios, referencing Mayweather’s ability to adapt and the critical importance of having a strong corner in boxing.
Teofimo’s Corner Critique
The team discusses the negative impact of Teofimo’s father coaching:
“His dad was in the corner, ‘yo, fight back. Do something.’ That’s not a plan! … I need somebody to say, left jab, cross body.” – Fat Joe [07:36]
Bud Crawford’s Advice
Shakur credits Terence “Bud” Crawford as an influence and mentor:
“He kind of text me something that kind of helped... but I’d been watching him. I already was thinking the same thing. It kind of confirmed what I knew. So I’m like, okay, just stick with this on fight night, and it's gonna bother him. And then on fight night, when I did that shit, I’m like, damn, this shit is fucking him up.” – Shakur Stevenson [10:11]
Role Models
Shakur lists his all-time inspirations: Floyd Mayweather, Terence Crawford, Pernell Whitaker, Sugar Ray Leonard, Usyk, and overseas fighters for their high-level boxing IQ.
“I like them overseas dudes. They kind of know boxing at a different level.” – Shakur Stevenson [36:11]
Puerto Rican Roots
Shakur opens up about wearing the Puerto Rican flag on his shorts, sharing a deeply personal story about connecting with his father and his heritage:
“My dad is Puerto Rican. So I never really—I never really got to be around him… But when I got to meet him, then I got to, like, building a relationship with him. He died. So it’s like, I never really kind of, you feel me? … But now I’m like, fuck it. It is what it is. Part of my blood is part of who I am.” – Shakur Stevenson [14:03]
The sentiment is echoed by Fat Joe, who discusses his own Cuban and Puerto Rican upbringing.
Belt Politics & “Extortion”
Shakur candidly explains sanctioning bodies “extorting” fighters, demanding money to keep belts across weight classes:
“When you win a belt, you gotta pay to be able to keep your belt… when I moved up for the Teofimo fight at 140 lbs, their belt don’t got nothing to do with that fight. But they're asking me for double of what I paid them after my last fight.” – Shakur Stevenson [41:57]
Jada and Fat Joe compare it to buying a Hollywood Walk of Fame star [43:01].
Community Impact
Shakur and Fat Joe share a belief that giving back is central to legacy:
“With the kids… I just wanna show them, like, it’s possible. … Showing them, like, you come from nothing, you come from the slums, but you still can get out of that situation with hard work and dedication.” – Shakur Stevenson [23:34]
“They really gonna talk about how you help the people. … That right there to me is everything.” – Fat Joe [26:27]
Ryan Garcia
Shakur is blunt about fighting Ryan Garcia:
“Tell him get in his bag so we could fight.” [48:49]
“Take away the fucking left hook. You take away his left hook, he’s cooked.” – Shakur Stevenson [49:05]
Devin Haney
Stevenson calls out Haney, discusses Haney’s fighting style:
“A scared man is a man that’s kind of hard to beat—sometimes dangerous... I think he a solid fighter.” – Shakur Stevenson [50:17]
On whether the fight can happen:
“If they want to make it happen, I’m down, but I know for [sure] … it gotta make sense. So long as the business and everything makes sense, we can make the fight happen.” – Shakur Stevenson [50:51]
Conor Benn
“He’s not like no skillful fighter. ...His knowledge is limited. His game plan will be to just use size… It’s a cool fight, but it’s levels.” – Shakur Stevenson [16:25]
Motivational Music Playlist:
Meek Mill, 50 Cent, Jay Z, Tupac, Jadakiss, G Herbo. [52:05]
Stories from the Streets
Fat Joe entertains with tales of street fights, community events, and the energy of hip hop colliding with boxing culture.

Shakur shares how he picked up pickleball from J. Prince and got obsessed with improving [27:35].

Stories about giving tickets to kids from disadvantaged backgrounds—expecting nothing in return but inspiring hope.

— Fat Joe, on the Walk of Fame and fight politics [42:45]
