B
Wherever we go.
A
South side. What it do? Yeah.
B
Yeah, that was made up my sophomore year.
A
Was it really? I love that.
B
But. So, yeah, we're going to see where this podcast goes. There's going to be a little bit of WNBA talk, a little bit of pop culture talk, maybe some fashion. Fashion, food, travel, some.
A
It's wide open. Yeah. Little Mo.
B
And speaking of Mo, the name of this podcast is the Show Me Something podcast.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's not because I have it tattooed on my wrist.
A
I did not know.
B
Yeah. I was drunk at a dinner and they had a tattoo.
A
Dude, I have a drunk tattoo, too.
B
You're the waves.
A
Sober for that one.
B
Is it somewhere in a purple room?
A
No.
B
What's that?
A
No. This is our family tat. Our whole family has this. You. We like to go to the beach, drink, hang out. Like mom, sister, aunt, cousins, uncle. Everyone has it.
B
Hell, yeah.
A
My dad won't get it.
B
I was gonna say your dad. Where's Paula's?
A
Same. Everyone's is right here.
B
Oh, sick.
A
Yeah.
B
Okay. Well, I can't get it then, because I'm already. I've got this space occupied.
A
Are you trying to be part of the family?
B
Couldn't. Would, but. So I think we're just gonna. We're gonna let it fly. Let's do it and see where things go. But I will say we are in the middle of the WNBA season.
A
Yeah.
B
So you're going to be the star of the first few episodes because there's a lot going on in your world. Facts, people being fined, fights, highlights.
A
Is that all me? Are we just talking about me at this point? Yeah.
B
But you're okay. You just told me you've been in Indiana for three months.
A
Yeah.
B
How's the transition? It's hard to know.
A
It's good.
B
Your relationship with the city until you're here for.
A
No, a thousand percent. Because I was with Phoenix for the past six years, seven years almost. And I loved it out there. Like, it was just so much different. I'm such a, like, outside pool girl. I think you know that. And so I. I loved it out there, but it was just time for a switch up. And so when I got traded here, I literally got here very, very end of April, early May. And so I've loved it. Like, I've missed the Midwest people. I've missed the culture. People are just so nice here. Food's good. I get meatloaf really, like, wherever I go. Like, I haven't had meatloaf in so long. The west coast don't eat meatloaf.
B
Yeah, I wouldn't.
A
Yeah, they eat, like, rabbits. Rabbits just fine. But I miss my meatloaf. And so I'm just happy to be back here. And, like, the team is phenomenal. Some of the best teammates I've had in a really long time. So, like, I'm actually happy.
B
I'll just get this out of the way because I know people will be interested.
A
Yeah.
B
One of your teammates. Arguably one of the biggest stars the WNBA's ever. Who's that had her name rhymes with Schmaitland?
A
Kirtland.
B
Yeah. What has that been like, seeing her not only kind of transform a league, but also just be like, no, it's not fair to say.
A
Not even just the league, but, like, women's basketball as a whole, around the world. No, I think it's awesome. I think it's so funny because she's like 22, 23 years old, and the whole world is watching her.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, it is a cult following. I'm not kidding.
B
No, it's wild. The airport today, Insane. It was like, 22 everywhere.
A
Anywhere you go. Like, it is a home game wherever we play. Like, she security with her 24, 7. Like, people are outrageous. Like, think of the most famous person that you know or met times of I 10, 20. It's insane.
B
I mean, she had like, a list celebs in Iowa City, Iowa, to watch. Iowa.
A
Exactly. In Iowa.
B
Travis Scott went. My brother went to Iowa. So go Hawks.
A
I mean, we're from Missouri, so we. I think we can.
B
Yeah.
A
I mean, I got in trouble for talking. You did. Smack on Detroit. Cincinnati. Or was it Cleveland? It was Cleveland.
B
And then you try to make it up by talking about. You said you liked Boston.
A
I loved Boston. I really do like Boston. I was just saying, if you're going to, like, expand our league, then, like, go put it in Nashville. You know how much fun people would have in Nashville. And then, like, Miami, you're next to the beach. Like, people are going to be excited to go there. I'm not saying that people from Detroit or Cleveland are bad people. People literally took it like that. I'm like, you guys are being freaking Drama.
B
That's the Internet, though.
A
I know.
B
That's how the Internet works.
A
You know, a little bit. Something about That I do.
B
But I. I think it's also ironic that we'll speak. Caitlin Clark plays for the Indiana Fever.
A
Yeah.
B
Which I don't know if a lot of people would consider Indiana to be the biggest, but I mean, it is now.
A
It is.
B
Wouldn't you say?
A
Because of her, Literally. Yeah, but we, you know, we love the Midwest. We love where we're from.
B
What's playing with Caitlyn been like, for you? Like, what's something her as a teammate? Like, not something that's like, on espn.
A
But, dude, she's just goofy.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, she's goofy and like, I think that's the. Everyone expects her to be a certain way and she is on the court, but, like, she is just. She's a. She's low key. A kid. Like, she's 23 years old. Like, she's like my little cousin. You know what I mean? And so it's been fun just to kind of like, see where she's had in her career, whatnot. But I promise you, she's like, so chill. She doesn't care. She's always in sweats, in a sweatshirt. Like, she. She literally does not care because her.
B
Game made, like, change the way you play made you better.
A
Well, I just think that, like, the style of basketball is like, more of an O motion offense, which is, like, right up my alley. For someone who cuts and can shoot the ball like that. I am freaking licking my chops every single game she plays. Because when she draws so much attention, dude, cutting, shooting, like, duh. So, like, yes, of course. But I think she's the type of player who makes everyone player or everyone better. Who's everyone player?
B
It's okay.
A
We need to talk about how we always knew you were going to be famous, but we just didn't know how or when. Yeah, because you were like, big man on campus.
B
NFL didn't work out. Damn it.
A
But you were a star in high school football.
B
I thought track.
A
You were fast.
B
Thought so. Thank you.
A
No, for real. Especially for a white boy. Come on, say less. Dude, let's go.
B
Cooper Dean just got put in the top 100 NFL players. Did you see that? He's the white cornerback from.
A
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you comparing yourself to him?
B
No, no. But no one. There hasn't been a white cornerback in, like 20 years. And he's like, just crushing. Well, it's kind of crazy.
A
Good for him.
B
High school. I was in student council, too. People don't know that. So were you? No.
A
Yeah, Yeah. I was a class prep. Yeah, I Was just there to get out of class.
B
Really get out of class. Throw the theme parties.
A
Yeah, theme. Our theme parties were freaking banger. Actually. We need to talk about our field parties.
B
Farm parties.
A
Yes. Dude.
B
Yeah. I'm surprised. My dad actually let me throw two of them.
A
I know. And I had to go home with your dad and you. The one time the cops got calls came because he's like, scatter you with me? I was like, oh, what did I do?
B
Someone called it in and we still don't know. I think I know who did, but.
A
Because they weren't invited, which I wasn't.
B
I'm not the type to like, not invite people to parties.
A
No.
B
I consider myself inclusive. But it was. No, because it was that. This is actually crazy that our high school had a club called Sigma Gamma. Remember?
A
That was dumb as hell, but it.
B
Was for those girls that like through parties. No, it's. I think it's dumb.
A
I wasn't a part of the. Part of that I wasn't cool enough. But I was busy winning state championships. Look at me now.
B
True. So true. Instead of drinking.
A
No, I was.
B
No, I know you're drinking. Those were awesome. Andy Turner probably is who I think of when we think of farm parties.
A
Okay, so let's like clue them in a little bit. Farm parties were from Missouri. And so like in the city we would have like house parties and whatnot. But they'd always get busted.
B
Yeah.
A
So.
B
And they're hot.
A
Yeah, they were. They were just like too many people down in the basement. And so we'd go out to people who had a bunch of land and they were farm parties and they were the most fun. The Evans. Remember? Yeah, Evans.
B
Andy, he tried to. Josh Evans tried to fight me one time at his. At his barn.
A
Tell us more.
B
I was te. I like texted n. He was dating Natalie Heim.
A
Oh yeah. Oh my God.
B
Yeah. And I texted her like he definitely has a type up or something. And he got so mad. And I. I played it like nonchalant. I was like, dude, chill out.
A
That's stupidest story I've ever heard.
B
Andy Turner. Big farm parties. Andy's was like an hour away. And people would, dude, find dds.
A
So fun key. Yes.
B
And then just roll out for an hour to a. To a barn.
A
Well, I remember Audrey and I, we were out there one time, multiple times. But there was one specific time. And we were like out there till like 3am got up on a table and broke that really big wooden table because us two got up there dancing.
B
One time he, he wanted to kick people out and he fired a shotgun into the air.
A
Dude. I was there.
B
Yeah.
A
And I, I, I knew that he was about to do that, but I didn't think he was actually going to do for us. Get people out of your party. You shoot a shotgun in the air legally. Yeah. Okay. But back to you. Seriously. We always knew that you were going to be famous, and now you're on freaking Bravo for Summer House. How did that even come about?
B
I don't even know. Like, I didn't even really know what Bravo was or. And you watch. Do you watch Summer House or other stuff?
A
No, I, well, so, like, growing up, I would watch different shows, but I didn't know it was with Bravo. I only really started watching Bravo, and I didn't even know what Summer House was until you were on it.
B
I mean, me, like, literally didn't either.
A
Yeah.
B
So worked at Bleach Airport for a long time.
A
Yeah.
B
Laid off.
A
Which I kind of feel like that would be a cool job, though.
B
It was awesome.
A
Yeah.
B
Everything was, Everything was great. And then one day.
A
Why did you get laid off?
B
They laid off a lot of people.
A
But, I mean, what girl did you text this time?
B
No, it wasn't even a girl. They laid off a lot of people. But, I mean, I was like a very. I, I was traveling, going to, like, different sporting events, doing whatever.
A
Yeah.
B
And, like, I think my expenses were probably, like, more than my salary was. It was like airport, hotel, club, bus, another club.
A
They not cover it.
B
They do, but I just mean I would have been an expensive person to, like, keep around.
A
Oh.
B
And if they thought my. They needed less of me, they were like, it would make sense to get rid of me.
A
I could see you spending a lot.
B
Of money at a certain point, especially.
A
Once you get drunk.
B
Not. You can't spend money you can't spend. You can't use your corporate card while you're drinking for the most part. I mean, I did once or twice probably. But it was to a point, though, where I was, like, not live. I, I wasn't even in New York because I was always gone. And I was like, I'm gonna, I'm not gonna, like, order a salad and drink water.
A
Yeah.
B
Every restaurant I go to, like, I'm gonna, like, go see a friend and, like, have dinner.
A
Yeah.
B
But that's not.
A
Again, friends.
B
No, I just mean I was, like, expensive, so it makes sense. And they, I'll give them a shout out, too. Great. Severance. After, like, they took care of me after they laid me Off.
A
Good. But now you're with complex.
B
Great company also.
A
Yeah. And I feel like you're killing it there. Like. And you get to meet a lot of cool freaking people doing that job too.
B
Yeah, it was awesome.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. Tom Brady a few weeks ago.
A
Did you really.
B
No big deal.
A
How much Botox does he have?
B
I, I, he probably does, but he's very handsome.
A
I don't. I think I like more like a. A manly man. I don't want my man.
B
Like a rip from Yellowstone.
A
No, like a Don't have Botox in your head anywhere.
B
Well, I get that, like, you'll find a guy like that here probably.
A
I'm good.
B
You know how, like, high school teams are, like. No, no dating during season.
A
Can you do college? Was like, I feel like college, high school and college was kind of like that.
B
What was her name?
A
Robin Pinchton.
B
Pinchton.
A
Yeah. Yeah. But, like, if you look back, who, who cares?
B
But also you're surrounded by. Because you're in school and in the same. Under the same department. You're, like, always around other. So I just mean I could see how they would want to protect you.
A
Yeah, but, like, unless it's, like, toxic or something, then I totally get that. Like, then you shouldn't be with them. But, like, if it's fun and whatever, who cares? Driving. Did you date people in college? Dude, when is it all the time? No, time out. Dating. I'm talking about dating, like, just with one person.
B
Did I have a girlfriend in college? Well, you know who I kind of dating for a while.
A
I already know, but go ahead.
B
Yeah, I'm not dropping names on this. Not right now. She's doing fine.
A
She is.
B
She's great.
A
Are you guys still in contact?
B
No.
A
Why?
B
But that, like, last because. No, but that lasted into college for a while.
A
Do you know what I was just thinking?
B
Yeah, that gets cut. So, yeah, I kind of, like, kept that alive for a while and then. Take your moment.
A
Oh, my God, I'm sweating.
B
Oh, yeah, I'm actually doing okay. I'm not good at, like, I'm not good at being vulnerable or. No, no, no. Just your emotions or having beef with people.
A
No, I don't really feel like you're a beef type of person, but honestly, you did catch some major beef after season one. Yeah, dude. What have you learned about that? Like, for real? Like, I think it's different when people can meet you in person because I feel like we both can, like, relate to this and, like, everyone has so many things to say about us. But then once they meet you in person, like, oh, you're actually not like that at all. Or like, oh, you're a lot more chill or like, you're a lot more whatever. But, like, you got a lot of slack after season one.
B
Yeah, dog, I got. I was fucking at war, dude.
A
Damage control.
B
I mean, that was really hard. And I'd never experienced anything like that ever. Yeah, I don't think anyone can be prepared for anything like that.
A
Yeah.
B
You would be dumb, though, one, to not look in the mirror and, like, it's such a crazy situation that, like. And obviously there's so many people who have opinions that, like, you shouldn't ignore everything. Like, if a lot of people are upset with you, there's probably a reason.
A
Yeah. But it's also reality tv, so you don't know what was cut, what was actually said, what the actual relationship was.
B
Yeah.
A
So I was trying to give you, like, the benefit of the doubt.
B
Yeah.
A
There are some things, but, like, no one's perfect, so you're fine.
B
Right. But I just think the Internet is, like, a dangerous spot. But that was honestly, I think, good for me in the sense that it was so intense.
A
Yeah.
B
The first year I did it.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't think it's really gonna ever be like that ever again.
A
So you feel like season two was much more. What, what was the vibe of season two? I enjoyed season two.
B
Just chilling.
A
Really.
B
Yeah. I just mean it was such a. The highs and lows of my first for sure year doing it were so crazy that here we are.
A
Yeah.
B
I will say, though, I've been doing on the Internet, though, for a while, so I've. I kind of have, like, seen how the Internet works. And, like, it's not the first time someone has, like, said something mean. You know what I mean?
A
No, for sure.
B
So we're good.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. I don't get fined, though.
A
I do.
B
I know.
A
But I also blow up on the Internet because I fought someone, so.
B
Which is so sick.
A
Honestly. It is funny. It is funny because in good, in.
B
Like, for good reason.
A
Yeah.
B
Well, wasn't she.
A
Yeah. Let me just tell people the story real quick from. Because I don't think I've gotten to really tell my point of view of things. Yeah. Is like, you, you have seen players in our league try to, like, toughen up Caitlyn. We call her Cece. Cece. For even when I wasn't on her team. Like, I, I, I like, I know the talks that Phoenix had in the locker room of, like, no, we're going to Prove her. We're going to show her what the W really is. You know what I mean? And, like, I get it to a certain extent, and like, every rookie coming into the league, that's how you're going to treat them, but there's just more for her. So it's her second year, and, like, now being on her team and, like, seeing it, I'm like, what are people doing? Like, actually just. It's just too much. Too much. And, like, you're. It's just. I'm over. And if I'm saying it's too much, then it's probably too much.
B
No, that's.
A
So, like, that's fair, right?
B
Yeah.
A
And so we were playing Connecticut, and, like, there's just one thing after another.
B
And, like, did you all have a little beef before the game? No, there was none.
A
No. Like, oh, actually, the girl who I did do that to, she did chip my tooth, but I wasn't worried about.
B
In a different game.
A
Yeah, the. The game before. So we play them all, like, four times the first time we played them, and she didn't mean to do it, but, like, she. She. Bro, chip my tooth.
B
You already got it fixed.
A
Yeah.
B
Smile. Yeah. Look, I can't even tell. Can you tell?
A
Thank you. Yeah, you can. It's a little discolored.
B
Discolored?
A
Yeah, a little bit. But just.
B
What part of her body chipped your tooth?
A
Well, actually, I'll. I'll show you guys the picture, but it, like, we, like, literally cracked teeth in the middle of a game. It's like face to face. It's like, ow. Yeah.
B
They know her mouthpiece is.
A
I kiss. Stop kidding. I hated it. No, no, I don't wear a mouthpiece.
B
Steph Curry does. I don't.
A
Okay.
B
No.
A
So anyway, so there. But I didn't care. Like, that wasn't why that happened. You know what I mean? And so.
B
But is there any substance in that? It set the tone that this was going to be a little physical matchup, possibly.
A
That game in general, there was just like. There's a couple players on their team that are just do. Do a little bit extra stuff, like just chippy talking, like you're. You're a professional athlete. Like, that's what happens. Right.
B
I feel like you see it more because you. They people act like this towards.
A
Yes, a thousand percent.
B
That would get annoying.
A
Oh, it is. Yeah. And so. So I finally, like, this was like, we're like 14 games in, and so, like, that game, I just thought I was kind of hungry. I know I was A little tired. Like, I'm not even gonna lie to you. I was hungry and tired, and I was over people's shit.
B
Oh, that's awesome.
A
So in the. In the first half, the rest didn't call. Someone should have been thrown out.
B
I.
A
And the rest did not call it correct.
B
I remember that.
A
They didn't. And so I was like, she got full body check. Three people. Yeah, like, two people. They're like, oh, it's fine. I'm like, if that was anyone else, you would have. I would have been booted out the game. I know that for sure. A little sassy, but, like, so are they.
B
Your leash is shorter, though, because they literally.
A
I. I don't even have a leash. I just have a freaking collar and a hand on it. Anyway, so there was, like, 45 seconds left. The girl stole the ball, and I was running back, and I was like, we're up. I don't need to foul. And I was like, just let her go. And I was like, all right. Like, who cares? Last second intrusive thoughts. I was like, it.
B
Yeah.
A
And I, like, at first, I just tried to, like, hold her and, like, put her.
B
Like.
A
Just let me explain. I know what it looked like. I. I got her. But at the very end, and I'm not saying this is what caused it, but she dipped a little bit. Like, she was. But she did dip. And then. Right. Myself, like, oh, like, my bad. Not really my bad. And then they. At me. I was like, it come.
B
Did you get fined for that?
A
Yeah, like, $900, which, like, our fines are a joke.
B
The coolest part about that fight is that your face.
A
I didn't care.
B
Was stone cold, dude.
A
But that's what I'm saying.
B
It was so sick. It was so sick.
A
People legit are like, oh, she. It's all.
B
I'm like, dude, that was real. You had her.
A
Like, I didn't even have her by the hair I want because I feel like girls are kind of like, it's always hair. It's always hair. I'm like, my mom, Paula, she's always like, if you're gonna do something, don't be catty. Don't. Don't go the hair. Like, you better. If you're gonna do it, do it.
B
She's saying, it's, like, cheap.
A
Yeah. Yeah. And so I grabbed her by the neck, But I was calm, cool, and collected. Like, I knew. I was like, if you're gonna do something to her, then do it.
B
And you got tossed.
A
And it's two on one. Yeah. I got tossed.
B
Did she?
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. Then we're good. So in a situation like that, does Kaitlyn come up to you after and say, like. Because the Internet whole thing was, look at Sophie sticking up for Caitlin. Like, this is dope.
A
But. But I. I was. No, I know you were, but in the locker room, she goes. She. I think she was like, finally. You know, like, finally someone else. I was like, dude, I got you. Like, it's. But. But I think that kind of had our team come together as a whole, and it's like, no, we gotta have it. Like, it was. It was. Yeah. No, it really was, though. Like, I feel like everyone was like, you know, like, we do have to protect each other and, like.
B
Can I ask you something so insane?
A
Sure.
B
Does it feel like that's. Is that your moment so far in the wnba?
A
Yeah. Which is crazy. That's not even insane.
B
That's hundreds of fan edits.
A
Dude, I'm not even saying. I went from. I went from, I think, like, oh, followers.
B
Yeah.
A
350,000 and, like, maybe 200,000 on TikTok.
B
You had 200,000 on TikTok a month ago.
A
No, no, no, I. No, I.
B
Before the fight.
A
Before the fight. And then I had, like 350 on a hundred thousand on Instagram Over. Over the night or over, like, a day and a half? Over a million on both. Insane. I. This is coming for me, though, dude. I got tired of seeing myself.
B
I get it.
A
And I love myself.
B
I get it.
A
I love myself. I was over it. I was like, get this off my screen.
B
Fan edits are sick, though, because there's like. Like, music and it's like. It's just so tight.
A
Oh, yeah. But then you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, I definitely say that's my moment, which is like, I've worked my whole life to become a WNBA basketball player, and now people know me as wwe.
B
Wwe? Yeah. Fighter. Oh, I didn't know that that was so recent because I saw you had a milli on Tick Tock today.
A
Yeah, no, it, like, blew up overnight.
B
I mean, that's awesome, though.
A
Who knew that me, like, being my natural, feisty, sassy self would put me where God wanted me?
B
Do you get any fights in college?
A
No, dude. I mean, I was chippy.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah, I was definitely chippy.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
But, like, I also don't think I.
B
Retweeted a bunch of. In your defense, someone was like, someone. Someone, quote, tweeted the fight and was like, you're going to try and fight like some miss a country girl. From Missouri. Like, you're going to lose 10 or 10 times.
A
And I was like, damn bomb strong, baby.
B
Well, yeah, I don't have a million followers anywhere, so congrats to you. That's.
A
Thanks, man.
B
Sweet.
A
Thank you.
B
That's awesome. Have you. When you post now.
A
I knew you were gonna say something like this.
B
Well, are the people that, like, weird as hell?
A
Yeah, but keep going.
B
Well, do you have. Is it. Is it a lot of women or do you ever get, like, thirsty guys? Is it thirsty guys?
A
It's all old thirsty guys.
B
I didn't want it to be that, but of course, duh.
A
But it's funny because I have so many people like, oh, like, how do you feel? Like, what? I'm like, dude, I'm still like the biggest dork and dweeb you will ever.
B
Be in your life.
A
Like, now I just have.
B
Oh. I find it offensive. Someone says, like, have you changed? I'm like, what? What? Like, wait, in what way?
A
Maybe my bank account.
B
Yeah. Shout out Arby's.
A
I should have brought you some roast beans.
B
Yeah. Have you been an Arby's person before?
A
Dude, I love Arby's.
B
Really?
A
I do love Arby's. I'm not even kidding.
B
No, you can love Arby's.
A
I know. It's the sauce. That's the sauce.
B
We used to go there, and then it just got a bad rap. I haven't been. But you have you been a Lion's Choice in St. Louis.
A
We used to have one in Columbia. Yes, yes. But they got rid of it.
B
Thinly sliced roast beef. But their shit's, like, not, like, nationally manufactured like an Arby's would be.
A
No, Arby's is. I get their sliders. Arby's sliders are banging.
B
Is it roast beef?
A
You can do roast beef, ham and cheese, like a buffalo chicken.
B
And you do a curly fry, obviously.
A
Yeah, it shakes too.
B
Do any. Do you know any other hot girls who like Arby's besides you?
A
Damn. The only hot girl that I know so far.
B
But I would wear the hot dudes or mediocre dudes, whatever.
A
The. You could just wear a hot girls.
B
That's fine. Can you give me, like, an xl, dude? Yeah, or double.
A
And they'll do you like a little crop top. Oh, God.
B
What? No.
A
What. What are you.
B
I've just been wearing shorter shirts recently. I think it looks good for my portions. I'm not like, that tall, but.
A
What do you mean, shorter shorts or shorter shirts?
B
Like, it makes your legs look long. I like a baggy shirt. Yeah, like a boxy fit.
A
Yeah.
B
But if I want to get like a double xl, sometimes it's a little long. Oh, so I'll just crop it.
A
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Oh, just. I thought you meant, like, what I would wear.
B
No, but I did do that for a photo shoot last summer, and people thought it was cool. It was me eating hot dogs with a shirt that said all dogs go to heaven. I was on the beach and it was sick, dude.
A
Actually, let's talk about this, though, because I feel like this is such a thing for. I know the league. And now I think you're becoming a little fashionista icon.
B
I gotta get you a bandana, dude.
A
I need one. I want to wear it in the tunnel. Fit.
B
Oh, my God.
A
I'm not kidding.
B
No, no, I'll get. I'll make that happen.
A
Please tell me where that came from, because it's awful, but it's turned good.
B
Yeah. Okay, thanks. It is funny though, how the Internet works. Were like the. Whenever that I wore that in an episode. Episode aired. First two days.
A
First season.
B
No, this past one.
A
Yeah.
B
And everyone's like, who. Who does he think he is? Like, he's not. Asap, Rocky. Like, he's stupid.
A
Don't you love how it grinds people's gears?
B
But then you. You sit on it a little, and then someone wears it and tags you, and then it, like, keeps going. And then it became like, dude, it's a thing. And then people were like, claiming that I started it. I've never claimed to started the you know what? Swag.
A
But when I was watching that episode, I was like, to me. But see, I'm like. I'm like, I'm. I'm never surprised at what you wear.
B
You know what I paired it with?
A
What?
B
A Hallie Kearns T shirt.
A
Yeah, I do, but just like, shout out. Yeah, but I'm just saying, like, I'm never not shocked anymore with what you're wearing.
B
That's. That's the hardest hurdle with fashion that you have to do is get to the point where, like, people know you'll do weird shit and then they receive it. Well, if you dress fudgeing normal and then try something, people don't like it. Yeah, but if you've already kind of like, dip your toes. Dip your toes.
A
But can I be honest? I feel like you living in New York, people.
B
People just crazy in New York.
A
Yeah. So you can. Anything flies. But like here in Indiana, if I were to do that, they like, what the. Are you wearing. And I'm like, I don't know. You're right.
B
But you still can though, because you're. What you're wearing to a game is going to be like, there's a TV camera by you, so it like works.
A
No, yeah, for sure. But I'm just saying, like, you could wear stuff like street style. You could wear that. And if I wore that street style, like probably anywhere, people would be like, no.
B
I will say though, as a. I'm going to say six foot. I'm going to, I'm going to say now.
A
Okay. Everyone knows it's like five, ten and a half, 511. All females know what program height my senior is when it comes to heights. Exactly. When it comes to height. Minus 2 inches. Okay. Minimum.
B
That's fine. It. I'll say 5, 11.
A
Is that actually it?
B
Yeah, no, it is.
A
Yeah.
B
With Tim's. I'm pushing 6, 2 if I were Tim's.
A
Okay. That's not bad.
B
But it's like a pretty generic looking average height, like white dude.
A
Yeah.
B
I. I had to kind of like, like get there, you know?
A
Yeah.
B
But I was gonna ask you, whenever you wear like a tunnel fit, and then people are like, oh, Sophie's hot. So if you like where she's like a fashion tunnel fit chick, are there ever days where you're like, I want to just not wear makeup more sweats.
A
To the game every day west and.
B
But can you.
A
I mean, I can, but I also know like, that's like the fun part of it too.
B
Yeah.
A
But I, I will say, like, I do still wear sweats and a sweatshirt, but like, I don't. That's like more on the roadway games, but like home games. I'm always going to be dressing up in like LA, NY, Chicago, all like the kind of more fun cities. Like you're gonna dress up, but interesting. Yeah. So there's like a method to my madness. I wish, I wish that I had the energy to dress up all the time.
B
No, I wouldn't, but. Because you have to play a game.
A
And I don't care. I don't care enough. I think that's my issue.
B
Yeah, but you do care on certain days.
A
Yeah, if I've had enough sleep.
B
Right.
A
But that doesn't happen every time. No.
B
How. How many days advance are they planned out?
A
Well, I.
B
Maybe would you say publicly if you had a stylist or not?
A
Yeah, I do have a stylist, but I only use her for certain things.
B
Things. Yeah.
A
And like there's. I think you could definitely tell when I have a stylus and when I don't.
B
Not the Arby's T shirt.
A
That was all me.
B
I know. Yeah.
A
That was pretty simple.
B
Yeah, it was easy.
A
But I did ask her. I was like, should I go gray shorts or black shorts?
B
Thanks.
A
And then black was the hit.
B
And then Venmo to fucking thousand bucks.
A
Probably like 5,000. Oh, do you have a stylist?
B
I've gotten help before.
A
Go ahead.
B
No, I do. She's.
A
You need a lot of help.
B
For me, it's more like it's like time.
A
Yeah. You know, and I hate shopping. I actually hate shopping.
B
That she also, like. I think she gets me and knows that we can, like, do weird shit here and there and we'll, like, come up with something together.
A
Feel that. Feel that.
B
I've seen, and I'm not gonna name names, but I've seen stylists work with people and it's just like, here's eight shirts. FaceTime me before you go to dinner and let's choose, like, what colored pants? And it's like, stupid.
A
No, I. I want, like, I can do that. I can be. I can be the stupid, but I need someone to actually make me look good.
B
Yeah.
A
To for real.
B
But. And get the.
A
Well, yeah. Yeah. Do you have like, weird. Okay, let's talk about this. Is there. Do you feel like your body type is weird? That, like, you can't pull certain things off even though it looks good on other people, but you try it and it's like that?
B
Definitely. I've heard 9, 000 women say that to me when I'm like. They're all like, pretty girls who, like, are normal looking, but, like, I can't wear T shirts because of my body.
A
Let me guess. They look like this. They're twig.
B
Yeah, they're all fake tits. They're all great.
A
That's all the girls you hang out with.
B
No, that's not true. Anyway, the one I'm thinking of does not have fake tits.
A
Oh, the only one?
B
No. New York's not a fake. Boobs titty.
A
You tend to find them.
B
I think you're thinking of not New York. Do you know where there's a lot of fake tits? The Lake of the Ozarks.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
Way more than New York.
A
Show me, baby.
B
I again, because I have this show me tattoo on me. I've shown it to multiple people and they go, does that mean, like, show me your tits? I'm like, dude, come on.
A
You might out of the gutter, but maybe.
B
Yeah, but are you gonna. But are you thinking how much have.
A
We had to drink?
B
Are you thinking about it? Okay, we're talking about T shirts, boobs, off topic. Oh, but if things fit. No, I try not to wear like, I don't know. But like that's what I said about the shirt. Like I. I cut it to make my legs look longer.
A
Okay, but like if you're interviewing a Tom Brady, right, like for complex, you got interview Patrick Mahomes. Like what, what are you. Are you like stylists need you? Are you like.
B
No, he's going to do this for those. It's more cuz like the person there is cool. So I don't need to like do something like to make it. Make it about me.
A
But like the summer house premiere then.
B
Actually, may I say. Yeah, Summer house premiere last year, full outfit, just me. Yeah, but there are a lot of other things. Like you know how we do on the show. They're like the green screen thing. Yeah, I felt really sad. Yeah, those are like people will screenshot those and people be like rank this confessional look like blah, blah, blah. So you kind of gotta like, dude.
A
I can't wait for us to start judging my outfits when NBA comes around. I cannot wait to judge those guys outfits. I'm not kidding. That's like one of my. Because some of them are so. They're swagging, they look good. Others I'm like so bad.
B
I.
A
You make 200 million. Why are you wearing that?
B
Yeah. Oh, I always think about Kyle Kuzma.
A
With the arm sleeves literally where my head went.
B
Yeah, he also did that one time and had like, he dropped like five points or something and everyone was like, dude, you can't show up like that. And then. Yeah, drop five.
A
Yeah. No, I feel that.
B
Who is a. Who is like a WNBA pioneer for fashion in your eyes?
A
Well, I think this last rookie class had a lot of like. Well, they had a huge freaking platform in college and so all these brands went after them.
B
So. Right.
A
I think of like Rekia Jackson, right? You have Cameron Brink, who is like literally stunning and you could throw a trash bag on her and she rocks it.
B
You know, I interviewed Complex actually Flage.
A
Oh yeah. Still in college. I've never actually met her, but she's spaghetti little girl.
B
She. She like likes rapping just as much as hooping.
A
Dude, she is a rapper.
B
No, she is. I know.
A
Yeah.
B
We like filmed a music video like in our studio.
A
Were you in a music video?
B
No, I was, I was like helping film it. We were like, throwing cash, like, above. It was, like. Yeah, like twerking or anything. She was, like, the star.
A
But all good.
B
To clarify, hold on.
A
Were you. Are we allowed to talk about you being with Alex Earl?
B
You can if you want to.
A
I do. I'm curious. I saw in your story that you were with her.
B
Yeah.
A
What was that?
B
The day was wool for me. Not underwhelming, but, like, she had, like, a little Airbnb. She's got, like, a beverage that she was, like, promoting.
A
Was it good?
B
It was fine.
A
I meant the beverage.
B
Yeah. I don't even know if I had any. And so there's this place in Montauk, Surf Lodge.
A
Okay.
B
It's, like, kind of sceney. Probably. Probably overpriced. I'm sure tables and shit are, like, overpriced, really. But it's just, like. It's, like, on the water, there's always, like, a famous dj. Like, it's. It's cool. Like, if you're there, you should go.
A
Yeah. Was it fun, though? Like, was the party fun? Like, here's my thing about social media that always gets me is, like, we blow all these people up. Time. We blow all these people up, or we. We sh. We show who we're with and what we're doing. But, like, is it really that fun? Are they really that cool? Do you kind of get what I'm saying? Of course. Of course.
B
There's, like. That's, like, half of everything. Like, I'm afraid we do. I don't know. I've posted that looked cool, and I, like, didn't have fun.
A
Yeah.
B
However, though, I typically am, like, gonna, like, have fun.
A
No, I feel like we always find, like, the positive. Enjoy and, like, fun and everything we do.
B
I will say, though, once it becomes a part of, like, this is, like, what gets scary, though, is when it becomes a part of your income.
A
Yeah. Then you have to.
B
Well, there's a lot of motive to fake it.
A
Yes.
B
You know.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Fake till you make it.
B
And so that's a thing. Like, I think I. I'm, like, 99. Sure. There are girls in New York and probably dudes who, like, fake post stuff as if it's an advertisement on their Instagram, so that it seems as if a brand gave them that or paid.
A
Them to post it.
B
And I'm not. I don't know that to be a fact, but I've just been like, dude.
A
I know exactly what you're talking about. But that's like, be you. But my biggest thing is, like, if you want to be somebody. Be you. Like, whatever you are, be yourself.
B
Because everyone else is already taken.
A
Oh, did you make that up?
B
I think it's.
A
Are you sweating, James Joyce?
B
Yeah, I'm going to be. Get used to me, dog. Yeah.
A
Okay. Speaking of sweating, which I think is so funny because, like, that's just you.
B
I know.
A
Please tell me about when the AC broke, dude.
B
Okay. The problem is because I'm a sweater too. Yeah.
A
Like, my feet. So bad.
B
Do they.
A
So bad.
B
I'm not even a foot guy.
A
Okay.
B
I'm saying I'm not a foot guy. There's no threat.
A
Put your finger in there. No, I don't have socks on.
B
Dude. Not even that bad.
A
Maybe don't smell.
B
Thought you thought that's what you said.
A
I mean, they don't smell so good, but.
B
Yeah.
A
I had these shoes for like an. For a year and they smell like that. That's not bad.
B
You're fine.
A
Thanks.
B
Just a lot worse. Weirdly, the only time that I really feel like is going to sound really deep. It's not meant to be.
A
It's okay.
B
Where I feel like really comfortable with my sweatiness is like, if I'm playing sports or working out because that's when I natural. That's when I'm meant to be sweaty. Right. But I am like, I run hot all the time. When I'm talking, I'm hot. When there's lights, I'm hot.
A
Yeah.
B
And I just get warm. Like I'm a warm guy.
A
We're in. The humidity here is wild.
B
But I mean, I. It's not just like. I'm not even gonna blame this.
A
Trying to help you.
B
I know, I know. I'm not gonna blame the Midwest community. It's just like who I am.
A
Okay.
B
So, yeah, I got to do. I just hosting NFL Network, which is amazing.
A
First of all.
B
Sick. Yeah. I try to keep it biased and then I sneak in just like little chiefs probably every 10 seconds.
A
Big chiefs fans here. If you guys didn't know.
B
Yeah. Off. If you're not.
A
Don't watch our show or listen to it.
B
Actually, one day I'm gonna. Would you board to get Kansas City WNBA team?
A
Dude, I've tried.
B
It would be so cool.
A
I've tried. I've tried. We're working on it. I know. I know. A lot of people are working on it.
B
Yeah. Anyways, so doing NFL Network and because it's a situation where I would usually be like, pretty warm and like over conscious of how I'm like looking.
A
Yeah.
B
I was like, God damn, I am so hot today for some reason. And, like, I have long hair now, so I can kind of like feel when my hair, though.
A
I really. With the hair. I got you, baby.
B
I'll take a compliment. And then so we go to second commercial break in the. The tech in my ear was like, sorry, the whole building's air conditioning just broke. We're going to try to figure it out. I was like, what the fuck? So it's like, just getting so hot. And they. Everyone I'm with is in a studio in L. A. Shit. And so every commercial break, I'm like, patting my whole stomach down, like, my head. And I'm just like, dude, I'm going to look, like, so sloppy. And people on the Internet are already like, I get jokes about how, like, sweaty and hot I look all the time. And I was like, I'm just not beating the allegations at all. And then they were like, before we cut back, everyone in LA was like, wes, are you good? Like, what's wrong? And I was like, the air conditioning is out. Like, I don't know what to do. Like, I'm so, so wet. Like, whatever. So they made a little joke about it, which I appreciated because then it feels like I'm like, not just randomly wet now. And then the.
A
Stop using wet.
B
Just say, I'm keep doing it.
A
I don't like that.
B
Sorry. Moist.
A
I'd rather moist than wet. Okay, I don't like moist either.
B
I got you. So then the last segment before the show's over, they cut back from commercial and it's a montage of me when we were on commercial break, patting my stomach down, patting my face down, like, putting a fan on my face. And they were like. It was a montage of me just, like, wiping myself off. And I was like, there's no. No way, dude.
A
But that's why people love you, though. Like, that shit's funny as hell.
B
I know. They were also, like, really nice and, like, laughing. But, like, of course, okay.
A
But honestly, when. Especially in a studio when it's hot and you do have all the lights and you already have a little bit of pressure of, like, in front of the camera doing stuff, talking makes me hot. Well, then you are hot 24 7.
B
That's true. And I'm hot when I'm sleeping, so it never really stops.
A
I don't think it's. It's not the talking. I think it's just your body. Yeah, that's fine.
B
I've asked my mom about it so.
A
Many times, you know, your mom had My sister's baby. And she's about to have her second baby.
B
I know, I know.
A
So cool.
B
That part's so awesome. I wasn't. I wouldn't bring it up because that would be not my place, but I'm glad I did.
A
I also announced Lindsay's second pregnancy on national television when I. I guess it was supposed to be a secret.
B
Oh, good work. Oh, so this is nothing. All right, well, thanks for giving us permission, Lindsay. Yeah. So when Sophie becomes an aunt in. What'd you say, three weeks?
A
How'd you know?
B
I. I think you didn't you tell me already? My mother will receive a baby into the world, which is kind of a fun, like.
A
Oh, yeah, receive. Yeah, she was good. I was right there with the camera. Had the angle.
B
Oh, you were in the room?
A
Dude, I was right there next to your mom.
B
Wait, I've never seen her do it before. Like the. The birth stuff. Well, I used to joke I wanted.
A
Maybe allow you in there.
B
No.
A
Random son.
B
No one should let me in.
A
Maybe Lindsay will next time.
B
Yeah. Honestly, podcast while she's giving birth. Mom hops in for, like, just one little.
A
Let us give birth. Your mom can walk us through my sister's next birth. Wait, I think we're onto something.
B
Damn.
A
I should allow that.
B
But how do you like being an ant?
A
I love it. It's good. It's the best.
B
Do you feel you could be, like, a good mom? Well, like, right now.
A
Would I be a good mom right now?
B
Like, when you see a kid that's, like, has your bloodline, are you like, oh, I want mine?
A
Oh, yeah. It gives me baby fever. And then you spend like, maybe 30 minutes of when they're not so good, and you're like, I'm good. Yeah, I'm thriving, actually.
B
Yeah, I got you.
A
But, yeah, I want to be a mom. You want to be a dad eventually.
B
But I don't picture it at all right now.
A
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
B
Yeah. Like, I think about it in my future. Yes. But when I wake up, no part of me is like.
A
Like, I want to have the Max mom that I am. Right now. Would be my dog. And, like, a lot of my teammates have dogs. And, like, I gave my dog to my parents back home because I just couldn't. I don't have time.
B
Yeah.
A
So am I gonna give my.
B
I mean, you re homed your dog.
A
Yeah, but he's on the farm, and he's thriving.
B
Okay.
A
Like, there's no way he's gonna come back here. Living in an apartment.
B
Yeah. Yeah. I. I feel the same way.
A
He actually just brough dead big old deer leg.
B
God.
A
Back home to my.
B
To my parents that like makes their year.
A
Oh yeah. And they smell like it. He. He had a rolled in the deer too. It was bad.
B
That's awesome.
A
Yeah.
B
Anyway, fever last night beat sky.
A
Shyrak baby.
B
How'd it go?
A
Bink. Bink.
B
How you play?
A
You know, I've actually been kind of on a heater.
B
Turn me up. So.
A
Yeah, turn me up. But last night I was not back down on a cooler.
B
That's fine. Humbling.
A
That's humbling.
B
You know, can I. Do you think with see Caitlyn out, have you had to like kind of like rise up?
A
Yeah, I think everyone has had to. She, she does have a pretty good injury. Hopefully she's back soon.
B
Are you second best shooter after her.
A
In your opinion like percentage wise or like efficiency? I guess that's the same thing.
B
Yeah. Nice. Your coach is like what I'm in.
A
Efficiency and percentage wise. I leave both of those categories.
B
Yeah. No, that's awesome. That's good.
A
Same category, but anyway, I don't even know if I lead those, but I. No, I think that's the cool thing about our team is we have a lot of great shooters.
B
Shooters.
A
But I, I have been shooting the.
B
Out of the ball lately.
A
But we all, you know the highs and lows of season. Like everyone goes through that.
B
So do we know when she's coming back? Obviously, yeah.
A
Her, yeah, it is recording. But it's such like a weird injury because she doesn't really like she's not in pain all the time.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean? But then when you do hurt it, it's like, okay, you're out for another. So I think they're trying to be like extra cautious so she doesn't kind of have those little setbacks if we're.
B
Trying to make a playoff run. I think that's the thing.
A
Exactly. Like if we can continue to win without her. Like also, of course we want her to play though. Like I want her to play.
B
You know what I mean?
A
But like if we can be successful without her, give her a little bit more break. I think that's gonna be good.
B
And playoffs are win.
A
October, September this year. Yeah, October with Olympic year. But this year.
B
Oh, got you. Yeah, yeah, Got you.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
She didn't play an all star though.
A
She didn't. She was an all star, of course.
B
Was she like on the sideline with them?
A
Yeah, she. They called her coach Coach Clark.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Love. No. Only they did. But I think I'm a part of our PA Players association. Wnba. Yeah. So I think they're going to be sending out those shirts.
B
Good.
A
So it'll be nice.
B
But Kelsey Plum with the chirp.
A
Why?
B
I don't know, dude.
A
Why?
B
I always feel like she's always being weird.
A
The thing is she's super nice and she's really freaking good at basketball. It's just like, I just think.
B
And I, you know, way better than me. But like, I. It just feels like people are jealous of this new little wave of.
A
They are. But I just hate that because, like, this is what we've always wanted as a league. So, like, who cares who gets the credit? And if you're smart, you're making money off of them.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, you were literally making money from the viewership.
B
And what she made, the chirp was about how she didn't help plan the.
A
Who cares? Like, who cares? You know what I mean? Like, I. I just hate when, like, people do stuff to get. It's like clickbait, like, you know, and there's so much clickbait, especially surrounding Caitlyn. And so like, it's just like, just be nice. Like, why can't people just be nice? That's what I don't. I don't. Coming from the girl who I was just seeing.
B
We just fucking beat someone up.
A
Just be nice. It's not that hard.
B
I agree.
A
Damn it.
B
No, I think that's what. From what I've seen is the outside.
A
Like, the outside the discourse is you.
B
Why bully the person who is like, not 100% responsible but, like, has a huge role in growing your sport, dude.
A
And it literally, like, pisses me off. And people are like, she's not the face of the league.
B
Who would be? What? Sabrina? No.
A
Yeah. No. There's really good, well known people in our league. I'm not, I'm not discrediting them. Like, we have a lot of badasses in our league. Like, hell yeah. To that. I'm all for that. But when people try to argue that she's not the face of our league.
B
Yeah.
A
Or if our league would be where we're at without her. You're dumb as.
B
Yeah.
A
You're literally dumb as.
B
You guys played at Iowa. Were you there for that game?
A
Yeah.
B
Was that a preseason?
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
We played against Brazil. Oh, we should go to Brazil.
B
Chiefs play in Brazil. Week one against the Chargers. I think so there's that clear our schedule.
A
When do they. When's Their first game.
B
It's probably, like, the first weekend of September.
A
Wait, when did Summer House quit filming?
B
Dude, I won it. Montana State plays Oregon Week 1, and it's our last weekend of filming, so it's like, it's the last weekend of August that, like, I think it, like, it dips its toes into September for a good day on, like, Sunday maybe or something.
A
Wait, that. Because that's literally where I was gonna go with that is like, why doesn't. Why don't you guys all pick up, like, the Summer House crew, go to, like, a game or, like, go to the Internet?
B
Talks about that all the time. Because every other Bravo show does cast trips.
A
Yeah.
B
So they go to, like, islands. And, like, how would you guys not. I think because our show is a vacation.
A
Yeah.
B
They, like, in theory, were, like, already on a trip vacation, you know?
A
Yeah.
B
I, like, jokingly brought up Summer House Ozarks.
A
Dude, it'd be so fun.
B
And it, like, kind of caught a little traction.
A
And I saw it on my Twitter feed. Yeah, I saw it.
B
I interviewed John Haim about it. I was like, would you watch that show? And he goes, fuck, yeah.
A
Yeah. Yeah, dude, that'd be amazing.
B
It would be fun to just go like, I love that house, you know?
A
Yes. But, like, it's okay to go do something different for at least one week.
B
I think, with people that you spend so much time with.
A
Yeah.
B
A little shake up.
A
Yes.
B
Is healthy.
A
Yes.
B
And like. Yeah. And then it, like, it kind of, like, lights a little fire. It's a fun. Like, we're all going to, like, do this thing. Let's be nice and have fun.
A
You're just not so much of routine. But I actually want to hit on that real quick. Is it so weird with Paige not being in the house?
B
It sucks because I think our senses of humor were, like, the same.
A
Yeah.
B
And if I made a joke, I.
A
Like, relied on her a little.
B
Yeah. She would laugh first, you know, so that.
A
That part's always tough, but are you still friends?
B
Yeah.
A
Like, hang out and stuff.
B
I'm gonna send her one of those bandanas, too. I got a little group of, like, you need to homies, but.
A
Oh.
B
But seeing that in a tunnel fit would mean the world to me.
A
Dude, I want to rock it.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
I'm all for that. Yeah. Do you have an outfit idea? You know, it's my dad on the bandana.
A
What? Bruce.
B
Bruce, dude show you. It's like a pastel painting.
A
Wait. On the. On the OG Scarf. It was Bruce the whole time.
B
Yeah. Look.
A
You're kidding.
B
No, I sent them the picture. So it's like a picture of him.
A
The roofs?
B
Yeah. Isn't that cool?
A
Oh, hell yeah, dude.
B
And then that's there, our cow brand logo. Oh, so it's like cooler than you think.
A
It is Way cooler than. I just thought it was like a random silky scarf that you maybe got at Marshalls.
B
No, no, no. What the fuck?
A
I don't know.
B
No, actually this company is who did it. It's called. They're called pirate, but it's pretty cool.
A
You could have fooled my ass.
B
Well, that's not the point. Oh, and I also think my dad, like, was like, this is awesome.
A
Duh. You know, he fudgeing ate that shit up in a heartbeat.
B
I know. I was like, hey, do you have time to do like a photo shoot at the farm? And he was like, yeah, Blue Ridge.
A
I can tell the cows to fuck off and the pigs can go.
B
The cows are a part of it.
A
I did see that. Dude. I will never forget back to our. Our little farm party real quick. I will never forget when you really did have yours and like your dad was out there and was like showing.
B
The like massive bonfire too, so.
A
That bonfire was huge.
B
It was huge. We took all the old wood and like pallets and I didn't know all that it would.
A
But I remember that was a big ass fire. Yeah, that might have been one of the bigger ones. Yeah, Josh Evans had a couple big ones, but that was a. That was a big, big one.
B
I wonder if we'll ever do that again in our lives.
A
I think that we're gonna throw it back and we're going to.
B
We like. Yeah. Wait, that would be so fun.
A
Why are we whispering?
B
Just because I don't want anyone here.
A
To think that they're not gonna be invited.
B
No, you guys are invited. It's in Missouri though. Who else in the. I say wnba. I know you say W. Talks about who like shits on refs besides you.
A
I think I'm the. I'm really the only one who publicly is a massive. On refs.
B
Yeah, dude, that's awesome.
A
But my thing is, like, I'm not even gonna lie to you. I am someone who says what everyone else is thinking or talking about. Not just with the refs. Did you post, but with Detroit, with Cleveland. I want people to hear what I just said. I am the only one. But if you ask our league, they feel the same exact way.
B
The league feels the same way about.
A
The refs as you and Detroit and Cleveland.
B
Yeah. Damn, those cities are gonna hate you.
A
No, like, they already do. I met someone. I was just at the Cubs and White Sox game.
B
Yeah.
A
Literally two nights ago. And this guy came and like he goes, are you Sophie? And I was like, yeah. He goes, well, I'm from Detroit. I was like, oh, I heard it's beautiful.
B
So what? I bet they, I bet people on Kansas City all the time though.
A
Yeah. We have some of the best barbecue, hands down the whole country. Like, I'm sure there's so many gyms. I'm sure the people are amazing. Those cities. I don't think people are fully understanding what we were talking about and so.
B
You want to give it one more shot?
A
No, because I said what I had to say.
B
Go off.
A
And I'm not going to apologize because I fully believe that. Don't tell me that Detroit is more fun than Nashville.
B
I'm not going to tell you that.
A
Yeah, don't.
B
I'm not.
A
Cuz I'll drag you by your damn neck.
B
Cleveland, though, I, I.
A
Are you a lover? Kind of. And not a fighter?
B
I'm not a fighter. Everyone knows that. Not even close to.
A
I think I'm more of a lover than I give off, but I will beat your ass.
B
Yeah. Let's wrestle sometime. That'd be fun.
A
You're too sweaty.
B
That's my lube. My wrestling lube. I won't make you on refs, but I do find it, I find it interesting because no Mahomes did it two years ago and got massacred for three months.
A
That's fine. But you know what? He was probably speaking the truth.
B
I think he regrets that one.
A
That's fine.
B
Was it after Amy won or lost?
A
We won.
B
Okay. That's fair then. All I was gonna say. It's gonna sound like you're making excuses.
A
And I get it. Because if I was a ref, I know I would mess up all the time. Like, I'm not saying that your job is easy, but when it is a simple call right in front of your face multiple times. What are you doing? What are you doing?
B
What call are you like bugged out?
A
All of them. Like, it's just like the, they're just so inconsistent. Like that's my thing. Like if you're on the other team and you're going to be finding the shit out of me.
B
Yeah.
A
Cool. But let me do it to you.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean?
B
You want consistency then.
A
Yeah. Like just get, Just give. And I think that's players across the league and like new fans across our Our. The country. Like, everyone's like, what is going on with the refs? And I'm like, I don't know. And you finding me $500 is not going to do.
B
Yeah, that was a bar. That's a shirt.
A
Hot girls like to be fined.
B
Fine me $500 won't do. That's sick.
A
And then I'll get fined for that, and then I'll get fined for this. And then the fines continue.
B
Yeah. Damn.
A
Yeah.
B
Where do they. Where do the rest come from?
A
I don't know. Not all of them are bad. I know there's a. There's actually a lot of solid, really good refs.
B
Do you have personal relationships with any of them?
A
Sexual? Like.
B
Well, you wouldn't be.
A
Maybe I should do that.
B
You wouldn't be posting Marine tick tocks about them if that was true.
A
I did say some. I didn't say all. There's just a. There's. There's like a good handful that it's like, all right, dude. And there's a couple girls.
B
Dumb question. Do you, like, if someone were to, like, say someone called men's basketball their whole life and then went over to women's, would it. Would they be expected to call the game differently? Just given, like, the style and, like, physicality and stuff like that? I'm just curious if they're coming from random place, like, where they're coming from.
A
The thing. The thing that I have the biggest issue about the female sides of refs is, like, they're so emotional. Like, the. The guys. No, the NBA. The NBA officials. Like, the NBA players. Those officials. Like, no other. Like, I. I was. I've worked broadcast. I've been to games. I'm friends with these people. They. Them.
B
Yeah.
A
And the only person that I've ever seen able to like a ref on the women's side is Diana Tausi.
B
And they, like, take it.
A
Yeah, they had to.
B
Yeah, they have to.
A
And, like. But when I. She. She. She's probably one of the worst people that I've seen. Seen go after refs. And I loved every second of it.
B
Yeah.
A
But now, like, the refs and. And I'm not saying they're emotional like the men and women. It doesn't matter. The gender on our side. They. They are too emotionally invested and they can't take it.
B
And I'm like, is it new to the WNBA that you guys are, like, maybe talking more back to refs, or has that been a thing for.
A
It's always been a thing. Like, I. We've had so I've had so many coaches, trainers, nutri. Like, everyone who's worked on both, like, the NBA and WNBA side. And they say that, like, we are more vulgar. Like, vul discuss, like, wild in the men.
B
Like, the way you talk everything. I believe it.
A
Like, everything. Like, our locker rooms are insane. Yeah, they're fun, entertaining as.
B
So it's like talks. Yeah, they look fun.
A
Yeah. But I'm just so. It's just like the emotional aspect that they can't separate.
B
Interesting.
A
Like, we're not going after you as a human. We're just going after your job.
B
Yeah. I mean, I've seen football coaches eat up, rest, but it's outside, so it doesn't feel as personal. I feel like getting cussed out inside would hurt your feelings, but that's okay.
A
No, because it's like, the heat of the battle. I feel like that's. I think if you went outside the court and did it, then that's going too far.
B
I mean, I don't mean outside of stadium. I just mean, oh, in open air.
A
Oh, oh, oh.
B
Like being cussed out in an arena where, like, it echoes and you can hear other people feels more intimate than, like, out.
A
Sucks to suck. You know, we get cussed out of when we're playing. People yell at us all the time.
B
No, I know.
A
You don't see me in the middle of a game that don't. You can't say that. Imagine that.
B
No, you fight with your fists. I've seen it.
A
You're crazy.
B
Time flies. You're having fun, Liz.
A
Have a lot of fun here with you.
B
Where do you live in comparison to your. Cause I know you have to go 15, 20. Not bad.
A
Not too bad. No, everything's like.
B
Are you more of like a. I want to live close to, like, the fun in town or close to the facility.
A
No, I'm like a actually happy medium. So, like, in. In Phoenix, I had the perfect setup. I was like, 10 minutes from downtown, which is like, where we played Bush.
B
And I picked you up.
A
Yeah.
B
For that race.
A
Yeah. And then 10 minutes from, like, our practice facility is perfect. And then 10 minutes from the bars.
B
Yeah.
A
And good food. Yeah, it's perfect. Where do you live in, like, I just moved. I know. Oh, shoot. Yeah, I think you did tell me that.
B
It's my first big boy apartment.
A
Dude, good for you. Do you have a roommate?
B
No, I'm solo.
A
You know what? Good for you. Sometimes you just need your space.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean?
B
Well, in New York, it's, like, really hard to find that. I was like, tripping on shoes.
A
No, you can find it, but you're going to.
B
Yeah.
A
Cut off your left arm.
B
Yeah. Couch built. TVs up. Couple, like, dressers built. So we're getting there too.
A
Good for you.
B
Thanks. You have to come.
A
Is it bigger than, like, these two couches together or what?
B
Yeah, I was gonna say, I think all the Rockbridge boys are coming for Chiefs Giants. But you'll be playing. We'll find a new reason. Come for Christmas.
A
Dude, that'd be really fun. You'll see the Rockets, but you'll probably play.
B
Will you see the Liberty again?
A
No, we're done. Dunzo. Damn. Well, whatever.
B
Isn't there a. I guess Connecticut. But that's like. Where do you find when you play Connecticut?
A
I think Boston or Philly. No, Philly.
B
Philly.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
Oh, that was fun. More to come.
A
It was.
B
We'll be webcam buddies next time.
A
I'm gonna miss you in person.
B
I know. I'll have a fan on me, though, for that one. Yeah, I love. Dude, show me some podcast. You showed me something, dude. We're gonna be showing your feet.
A
You showed me your sweat armpits.
B
Yeah.
A
You showed me your. Your wrestling lube.
B
Dude. I always get nervous. My first viral TikTok was my balls because I was sitting like this. And now I'm like, I always cross my legs. So I'll show it to you.
A
Thanks for listening and follow us on all socials on show me underscore pod.
B
You. You.
