You're the most unique looking guy I've ever seen. And they have like a little like a burn for burn sort of moment. John Madden is a really interesting looking guy when you think about it. I'm not saying he's Jay Leno level, I'm just saying he's pretty unique. So when you're trying to figure out someone that looks like him, there's not that many people that you can picture crashing through a wall in, in checkered pants to promote Miller.

Like that's how I felt when they. Aren't they still in the works of doing the Hulk Hogan movie And one of the Hemsworth brothers is playing the Hulkster.

It's like mainstream news now, where they're saying, social media teams. For NFL teams, today's like their pun intended, Super Bowl. Because when this schedule is released, as you know, every year now, it's a battle of what team is the most creative, has the most creative schedule release, and they see who gets the most views. In fact, the San Diego, now, Los Angeles Chargers did one where they replicated Sims, and that had 40 million views. If you remember, some made, like, prank phone calls to the other teams.

How about the Titans famous one where they showed people on the street different.

NFL logos that had a ton of views? So this is really like, all right, social media teams. Who's got the chops? And tomorrow we're going to be talking about. Man, you see this team? They're lame. Yo, this is really funny.

I think including playoff football this Thanksgiving. One of the leaks I have.

I have something that's going to put it over the top to confirm your theory here.

One of the leaks called a plumber. One of the leaks is that on Thanksgiving day, which already has humongous numbers, it already has the biggest ratings of the year other than likely the playoffs and of course, the Super Bowl. Thanksgiving Day. Dallas Cowboys is already a ratings getter, but it's the late afternoon game and it's Cowboys and the Chiefs. So if you get Mahomes and Kelsey, you know, the dynasty of the last decade going into Dallas on Thanksgiving day. I wouldn't be shocked at all if that had 80 to 100 million people watching.

And it will. Can I add to it Taylor Swift.

The thing is, is he doesn't know what he doesn't know and he knows.

Football because that's what he's been doing. And he does it very well. And he's been, you know, very acclimated in sports since he was young. But he doesn't know the business world. He doesn't know the predators or the vultures that could be out there. And so he feels very comfortable at knowing that not only am I educated and qualified to do it, I'm also his mom. To me it makes sense and it really poses a bigger question. He may be a guy that knows more about football than any of us, a student of the game, a star student, you know, a guy that took the league by storm, but does he know about life? Which poses the question, Kavino, when do you really become a man?

[Isaac]

A man? Absolutely.

[Danny G]

Like when are you a man?

[Isaac]

Does it look like a man to you? I say absolutely no.

When does a guy become a man? Because I feel like even in this room we're going to have a ton of different answers. When does someone become a man? When you see some of these young kids drafted, are they men yet?

Very, very loving yet you could argue overly involved. Mom. I mean Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, we've seen pop stars and, and other people have their parents as their manager. And I wish the opposite for Jaden Daniels. But usually those things eventually wear on the relationship. That, that doesn't usually law.

She sounds a little Levar ball to me, like a little too involved.

[Danny G]

I mean, she' lovely woman. I just feel like, yo, I love my kids. And I could see where her mindset's at. My kid is a generational talent.

[Isaac]

I take care of my kids.

It's, you know, it's. I wants to look out for your kid. Wants to do everything right.

[Isaac]

Right? Yeah, the, the intentions here are beautiful and pure. Yeah, but, yeah, but rich.

It would be a bit much if I was, you know, hanging around my daughter. You're right. As like her agent and bodyguard when she was older.

Everybody out there looking out for their kid, you gotta commend that. It's a beautiful thing. That's great. And all my only criticism is this, referring to him as a kid when he's a 24 year old man in a very alpha driven game and world. You think he's a kid still at 24, man, in the grand scheme of things. But do you want your mom calling you out like that in front of everybody? Nope. And then again, we posed the question one more time. So when are you a man? I heard a really morbid thing one time And I think it was a listener of our show that called in one time Rich, and they said something about they became a man when their parents died because he always felt like he was their kid. And that's a morbid thought, a coming of age sort of reality. Yeah, it's very sad, right? You feel like more of an orphan, I think, than anything. Little. Little Orphan Spotty.

So again, not to sound morbid or weird, but I remember when a caller said that to us, I was like, yeah, I guess that's pretty wild, because you are someone's child no matter how old you are. And then when they're gone, you're like, well, I guess I'm out here in this mean world all alone. I guess I'm my own man.

[Rich Davis]

But I think this is more of when you're standing on your own two feet for the first time.

[Isaac]

Yo, man, you're a professional dude. Yeah.

You're.

You're a young person in the grand scheme of life, but you're, you're on.

I don't want my mom calling me like her little baby Boise when I'm trying to do a professional radio show.

[Rich Davis]

What do you guys equate to manhood? Like, I think about responsibilities.

[Isaac]

Yes.

[Rich Davis]

You know, so the first time, Rich. Yeah. The first time you pay a utility bill, to me, that's when you become an adult.

[Isaac]

You may be mentally an idiot, but if you, if you got responsibilities and you're a responsible person with things to pay for. Yeah, you're your own man.

[Danny G]

I. I had written down that if you're still on your parents cell phone plan or car insurance plan.

[Isaac]

Oh, that's a good one.

[Danny G]

It's hard to call yourself like, I'm a man. You a man. Your mom pays your state farm.

[Isaac]

Yeah.

[Danny G]

Like your dad. Your dad plays Geico in a. You. You're on mom's Verizon bill. I think that's.

[Rich Davis]

What if they're still on the Plan rich. But they sell their parents every month.

[Isaac]

Nah, that's.

[Danny G]

Get your own. No, you know, you know your man. I do that for my mom. My mom's on my plan because I try to be a good son. That's what you know. So I don't think. I think if your parents are paying your bills, I'm not quite sure you have man status yet, but I still.

[Isaac]

Got one foot in the nest.

[Danny G]

I do want to remind everyone one thing. These kids that we are a little tough on at times. Listen, it's very easy to want to pick on Shador Sanders and some of these young cats out of the draft. They are kids. And I feel that way when you're 20, 21, 22, if you're 40 something, they're half your age. Think of all the living you did in your 20s and 30s to get to 40. Ish. Right? That's a hell of a lot of living and learning.

[Isaac]

Yeah. But 21 and 24 are a little different. Jaden Daniels has been in the NFL. These kids coming out of the draft, they're just getting out of school.

[Danny G]

Yeah.

[Isaac]

So, yeah, there no way are they men. Those. Those are kids.

[Rich Davis]

Covino. I know this doesn't apply to everyone because as we had said, your mom spoiled you for a long time. Still does.

[Isaac]

Probably she does.

[Rich Davis]

But the. That wasn't the case. We've talked about this on our show before, that our generation, it was more of everything revolving around the parents. Pretty much like kids are to be seen and not heard. And. And that changed with our generation. So we should give ourselves props because we have been really good. I think better with children. Right. And so kids now are. They don't want freedom the way we did. We couldn't wait. Most of us couldn't wait to get our own freedom and get out of the house. Kids nowadays, most of them that I've seen and in my own house, they are holding on longer.

[Danny G]

Yeah.

[Spot]

They don't want to give their driver's license.

[Danny G]

Yo. It's so funny you would say that. I was itching to get my license in New York. Mine lickety split at New York at 17. I know it's 16 in a lot of places. I was itching, like the day of my birthday. I was, you know, like, driver's test.

[Isaac]

That's when I got my license.

[Danny G]

Kids now are like, like, I'll take an Uber and mom or dad will drive me. I'll walk there.

[Isaac]

Well, it's. It's so many factors, right? These kids are broke. They can't afford a car. Uber is available. It's a thing.

[Danny G]

Yeah.

[Isaac]

So there's a lot of factors, but I agree with you. Rich and Danny, you're paying your own bills or capable of paying your own bills.

[Danny G]

Yeah.

[Isaac]

You're your own man. You may be immature.

[Danny G]

There's.

[Isaac]

Most men are.

[Danny G]

Kimmy. No. There's two types of parents, though. And I think I'm safe in saying this. The type that are like, you're welcome here as long as you want. And then the other parents that are like, you're 18, you pay rent or get out the door. And I'm, you know, I'll be honest. I moved out right after college, but my parents, I could have stayed there and they would have been like, yeah, sure, I have friends that are like, yo, you're out of college, you're paying rent. And other parents, like. Or you could stay here.

[Isaac]

Right? Yeah. You know what? Another nail on the head, because I agree there's two types out there. Luckily, I had the latter who allowed me to stay there for way too long and save money to purchase my own home one day. You know, so if you have. All right, how about this? You have the ability to pay for your own home and you're employing your mom. I don't know if you're a kid.

[Danny G]

No.

[Isaac]

Guess what? You know why your mom has a career. And that's not to come down on Regina Jackson. She's doing a great job because she.

[Danny G]

Could throw a tight spiral.

[Isaac]

Yeah. We're just speculating on, well, when are you really a man? Based on what she said. Okay, so, you know we're dissecting her words.

[Danny G]

Yeah.

[Isaac]

And that's not fair. But. But if he's employing his mother, I'd say he is not only a man, he's the man.

[Danny G]

Hey, Danny, you're a great dad and a great stepdad. You were. You were talking about how your stepsons, you're almost shocked that, what are they, 19 and 20 or 20 and 21.

[Rich Davis]

Yeah, 20 and 22.

[Danny G]

20 and 22. And you were saying how you're surprised they don't want to, like, maybe split their own apartment so they could bring girls back and do things. They're cool. Like just living at your place.

[Rich Davis]

Yeah. What? The middle son who's 20, he is an Oklahoma Sooner. He just drove home. The law. He made the long, what was it, two and a half day drive, whatever, to get home. And he's going to plunk down and be at our place all summer. Now he's going to work part time does he eat?

[Isaac]

Does he still eat? Gushers.

[Rich Davis]

You guys, he was watching NBA playoffs, eating sunflower seeds on the couch last night.

[Isaac]

See, I don't know. They said they're great guys, right? But are they men if they're still living that life?

[Rich Davis]

And the thing is, our 22 year old, he's about to graduate from Kowloo this Friday.

[Isaac]

Okay, Congrats. That's awesome.

[Rich Davis]

It's awesome. But again, right now he's at the dorms there, he's bringing girls back, he's living the life. They're both gonna hunker down at our place over the summer, though. Cause obviously at graduation Friday, he's out of the dorm.

[Danny G]

Danny. Crowded house.

[Rich Davis]

But my wife raising them always told them, as long as you're in school, you can stay here rent free.

[Isaac]

That's a. That's a pretty cool rule though. Yeah, that's a. I think that's just a parent looking out for their kids.

[Danny G]

Now his sons are gonna take one semester, one class a semester, like just. Just to be like, what? I'm. I'm mom.

[Isaac]

Danny G. Was like, yeah, that was cool. Until I became their stepdad.

[Spot]

Can I. I think boom. Like, especially boomer parents. Maybe Gen X parents were like, my parents are, are baby boomers. And it was a lot easier to buy a house back in the day. You know how to joke about how like, houses now are worth like half a million to a million dollars. Then boomers got their house like in the 1970s for like $1700 and a bag of rice.

[Danny G]

No. Yeah.

So it's like, stay at our home, which we paid the mortgage off 25 years ago.

[Danny G]

We've had this conversation many times in the past. I was saying, but our parents generation, like, of a young kid now had my dad's job and my mom worked on, and my mom would take off for a little while when the kids were born and then go back to work. Like, if my family replicated what they did now, no way on planet Earth would they have had a house on Long Island. It's a different time.

[Isaac]

So age doesn't have a lot to do with this. It really doesn't when you think about it. My dad at 21 had his own home and kids, right? That's when he had 21. 21 years old. So was he a man then?

[Danny G]

Yeah.

[Isaac]

He had his own home. He had a family. He had his own family. Jaden Daniels. Does he have kids? He doesn't, right?

[Rich Davis]

No.

[Isaac]

I have a question.

[Rich Davis]

Are you kidding? His mom won't Let him have a real girlfriend.

[Isaac]

Won't even let him sit next to Jujuan's.

[Danny G]

His mom took the door off his room.

[Isaac]

Yeah, just wanted to make sure. Does he have a sign over his bedroom that says Jaden's room?

[Danny G]

It's right on a football. Jaden, I need to know. Hold on.

At 24, a professional with endless means and connections and such a bright future, I'd say Jaden Daniels is a man.

[Danny G]

Yeah, he's a man. Danny, I have one question about your sons. 20 and 22, both bright futures. College kids, one graduating. When they are home, are they like, mom, what's for dinner? Do they expect you guys to supply food?

[Rich Davis]

Oh, for sure they do, 100%. And it's funny because the 20 year old, yesterday he asked his mom, he said, what'd you eat for dinner? Did you make something for dinner? Like, they don't say what's for dinner. They just hint around like, okay, you could feed me now. And look, that's fine. If you're at the house and you're at least making an effort to pitch in around the house and. And they're good kids. So, like, you have good kids, you're not gonna say, yeah, you gotta get out of here once you turn a certain age. But you're right, Rich. When I was 18, my mom said, you're not my responsibility anymore. You're now an adult. It's just not like that anymore.

[Isaac]

Did you feel like a man, though? Because when I finally got my first home and like officially moved out after college, I went back to my parents 27, I didn't feel like a man. I felt like a man. Boy who had my own bachelor pad.

[Danny G]

You were spoiled, you say?

[Isaac]

When I became a dad, in my personal reality, when I became a dad, I was faced with real life adult situations. I will give say when I became. I didn't become a man till I was 30 something years old.

[Danny G]

I'll give Cavino credit.

[Isaac]

I'm like, I'm like Pinocchio. I'm a little wooden boy.

[Danny G]

Cavino deserves some credit because while he did live at his parents until. Because listen, housing in New York and New Jersey, expensive. While he did live at his parents house after college for quite a while, he told he lived in the basement. He told girls that he rents to old people upstairs.

[Isaac]

Women, rich women.

[Danny G]

I thought that was always your Camino, bring some hot girl home from the club and be like, yeah, don't mind. I rented this old couple upstairs, so.

[Spot]

Why don't they live in the basement? You live upstairs? Well, don't ask.

[Danny G]

Don't ask.

Wait, why are you in the pictures with these people?

[Danny G]

They're clingy, weird tenants.

[Rich Davis]

That would be my motivation if I was their age. Because I think back to when I had my first apartment. I was 18 at my first radio station job, and I wanted my privacy. And I think that's a big difference nowadays is these kids are used to sharing space with a lot of other kids, and they don't really care all that much about the freedom that I explained we wanted so bad.

[Isaac]

Danny G, was it true when you grew your first chinstrap, that's when you felt like a man?

[Rich Davis]

Well, for me, that was fifth grade.

[Danny G]

Danny's like, no, it was upon my third Raiders tattoo.

[Isaac]

It poses the question, guys. And again, I'm sorry that Regina Jackson took any heat. That wasn't the point. But it was what she said about her son. I get it. Her son will always be her baby and a kid in her eyes, but he's really 24 years old. Young in life, but he's. He's a man.

[Danny G]

Well, hey, hold on.

One thing. One more point here. Imagine being born in the year 1900, and you're like going to the great war as a 17 or 18 year old. You're a man then.

[Isaac]

Yeah, I think about looked like weathered and old back then at that age, you know, they aged a lot faster.

[Danny G]

Aaron, judges hit a rocket of a home run. Yeah, buddy. Like, exit velocity might have been 200 miles an hour. Sorry to interrupt. Like, like that ball came up the bat, they turned to left field and it already hit the wall. Like, the high wall.

Chiefs are getting what's labeled the full last dance treatment from espn. So during this, this week's Disney upfronts, you know where they announce the program and coming out for all the networks. ESPN announced it will be releasing a new series called the Kingdom. Which is a multi part docu series chronicling the 2024 Kansas City Chief season as they try to achieve their never before seen 3 Pete. So Patrick Mahomes appeared at the announcement talking about how the six episode series will have an unfiltered access into their lives on and off the field.

Showcase the true heart of the city, the team and what, what it takes to be a member of the Chiefs. No specific people have been listed on the press release as far as who will be involved, but I'm sure it will involve Kelsey and obviously Mahomes and King Jeffrey Swift, all these people. A minor league stadium employee going viral for his bare handed catch. And no, it's not of a baseball. During Sunday night's game of the Kannapolis Cannonballers and the Carolina of Mud Cats in the bottom of the third, the Cannonballers mascot, which is a dog, ran on the field and popped a squat to relieve himself near home plate while a Stadium employee who was charged with the cleanup ran out to grab the, you know, whatever the pile. And rather than grabbing like a pooper scooper or scooping up or something, he barehanded it. And there's video. Video went viral of this. The Internet went crazy. Grossed out by what they saw. Someone said, yeah, he bare handed the. That grounder. Like, they need to fire the guy immediately. So hopefully they use this as a way to just get a pooper scooper. Why don't they have one?

And if you need a show to watch, I mentioned this on weekend Hobnobbin. I started watching the four seasons on Netflix. Steve Carell, Tina Fey and Domingo Coleman that honestly, it's really an easy watch when episodes are like 28 minutes. You got me. Because I sometimes you watch like last of Us like an hour plus episodes and I'm like, oh, when I'm looking.

For something short to watch, there's something called TikTok. I don't know if you ever checked that out, but yeah, that's really easy sometimes just easier before you go to bed.
