You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh it is a Friday. We got a spicy show. Blazing five in an hour. Red hot 62%. I'll do something in the blazing five I'm not sure I've ever done before in one hour. Josh Allen upset they couldn't get the plane on time. So Buffalo, wherever you may be, however you may be listening or watching, thanks for making us part of your day. So Josh Allen once again feels like a six foot six pinata upset time last night. So four things are happening with Buffalo, none of them good. They become very turnover prone. 3 Last night Houston with no run game ran for over 100 yards, the O line got worked and oh by the way, they have no deep threat at all. Other than that things are great. You know, a lot of times quarterbacks let down a franchise. I feel like the franchise can't get the playing on time is letting down Josh Allen. I mean Davis Mills is a pro, I get it. But he engineered two long drives 7775 yards. My eyes tell me I watch that game. You watch that game. Texans have better players. There's seven or eight great rosters in this league. Buffalo's not one of them. They're not one of them. I mean at D line, wide receiver and corner. Houston's much better. It's not close. I don't want to hear that Ed Oliver's hurt. It's the NFL or the Dalton Kincaid's not available. You have two other tight ends or that Keon Coleman. The young receivers, a bit immature. That's a league full of young guys. The Texans were missing their quarterback and the Bills are getting into a really bad habit of losing to average quarterbacks. Their last three losses are to Tua, Michael Penix and Davis Mills. And I know he's a pro, but Davis Mills should not be beating Josh Allen. I don't want to see Chef Boyardee out cooking Bobby Flay ever, under any circumstances, period. So now Josh Allen clearly is pressing because he doesn't have a deep thread. Houston's got a real defense. He's been pressing this year, so his turnovers are up. He has three more picks than all of last season. And why? Nobody's open downfield. You can't win Super Bowls in this league where every drive is 14 plays. You need a Jameer Gibbs to peel a big one off or Justin Jefferson to go over the top or Devonte Adams to beat his man. Buffalo doesn't have that. Houston had more speed, a little bit more size, more depth. So Buffalo suddenly now can only win one way. Josh Allen has to have three or more touchdowns, and last week he had six. They can win that way. Not sustainable. And he's only missed four games in his career. But Josh Allen on more than one occasion last night got up slowly and I don't care that he's six. Six. Go ask Cam Newton and Big Ben, who took a beating because they extended plays, put themselves in the crosshairs. It's not all the offensive lines fault. He extends plays. He can run backwards. He did that a couple times last night. But go ask Cam and Big Ben, who were six' six. It takes years off your prime. So Josh Allen is 30 now and the and he's going to be out of this prime in a couple years. So Buffalo, to me, Brandon being the gm, he doesn't have enough help offensively. It's on you. It's on Sean McDermott can't get a plan on time. It's on the O line, it's on the wide Receivers, Yes. Keon Coleman is, is a bit immature at this point in his life. You got to do the homework when you draft him. You know, young receivers like that sometimes have red flags. You got to do the homework. That's part of it, you know. And so, you know, young guy being a bit immature. Welcome to professional sports. I don't want to hear blaming him. So I. All I know is in this league we beat up on quarterbacks when they can't carry a good coach or carry a good roster. I feel like you got the quarterback. You can't be losing the two. And backups and Michael Pannix can't. Can't happen. Josh Allen is forcing it. Josh Allen's frustrated. He got clobbered last night. Now again, Houston's defensive front. I mean, Houston's defense overall, Bullock's great in the back end. They're really good. They're not that good. Here's the coach and Josh after. When they hit their quarterback 12 times, you know, that's. I don't like that. I don't like that stat at all. And it's not a healthy way to play or a healthy way to keep our quarterback healthy through the remainder of the season. I gotta be better with throwing the ball away and living to see another down and letting us play some situational football. Pinning them deep and too many times I was going backwards and I got to be better on that. Speaking of another very talented quarterback. Sunday in sunny Chicago, Bears host the Steelers. And there's a lot of Caleb Williams critics and doubters. I am not one of them, although I do think sometimes I'd like to see more consistent accuracy. But for the doubters and critics, this is a game that you are waiting to see. Right? Because Pittsburgh punishes you. They forced 11 turnovers with Daniel Jones and Drake May. Those teams are combined 17 and 4. And those teams are better than Pittsburgh. But Pittsburgh beat them because they took the ball away. The Steelers are five and oh, when they win the turnover battle and it's the only way Pittsburgh is going to win this weekend. Why? Because Aaron Rodgers is not 100% and he's old and they cannot run the football. Okay, so Pittsburgh is. Last week they played Cincy. Four touchdowns. Two are on defense. That's how Pittsburgh wins now, especially with Aaron probably playing at about 75, 80%. The running game is bad. It's not getting better. So the, the. This should be a low scoring game. Whoever wins the turnover battle probably wins the game. That's how Pittsburgh's gonna have to win and it probably should be one of those games where Caleb Williams plays in structure and it's kind of boring. Boring will win because I think Chicago is the better team and they're at home and they have the better offense and the weather's not going to be an issue. So this is a classic game in the NFL for a young quarterback to have to understand what he needs to deliver. This does not need to be a highlight. Get rid of the ball quickly. Do not tease or challenge TJ Watt. Stay in the pocket. Get rid of it. Play within structure. Caleb does not throw a lot of picks, but if he's going to. This Pittsburgh team with Mike Tomlin is a great underdog team. Tomlins as good an underdog coach and motivator as the league has. And Aaron's banged up and they can't run the ball. So there is a way. Mike Tomlin is preaching we're taking the ball away from the young guy. We got to create turnovers. We have to score in defense and special teams. That's their route to win. Chicago can win multiple ways, but the absolute way they'll lose is to play into Tomlin, which is turnovers and giveaways. So I think. I think Caleb's going to play well. I think Chicago is the better team. I think the weather sets up for him. I like Chicago in this spot, don't love them like him. And here's Mike Tomlin on facing Caleb Williams. And I can't say enough about what I've seen from Caleb Williams. Certainly I had studied him a lot, being a young guy in this league and an NFC guy, but just really impressed with his physical talents, his ability to throw the football, his accuracy, his arm strength, his ability to extend, his ability to see the full field while doing so, minimizing negativity. The creativity associated with his escapability and play extension is really challenging. Now. Drake May's been unbelievable this year. He unraveled against the Steelers. Daniel Jones and the Colts offense number one in the league in efficiency. Daniel Jones unraveled against Pittsburgh and. And the Colts are better than Pittsburgh. Let's be honest about that. New England's better than Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh beat them both one way. The defense creates turnovers. That is the way Pittsburgh wins this weekend. So can Caleb play, really play within structure, Kind of be boring. Get rid of the ball quickly. Don't, don't. Don't tease T.J. watt. Don't. It's not good. So I think it's a fascinating game. And if you're a critic or A doubter of Caleb Williams. You're sitting there on X. You're just ready to push. Send. You are just ready to push. Told you so. I think. I think Chicago is a better team. Weather plays the part. Aaron's banged up. I think they're going to win. J. Mac. Spicy show today. Shador Sanders. I can't wait. You know the NFL's king when 2 and 8 faces 2 and 8 and I can't wait to watch. And it's going to be a merchandise floodgate for the NFL this weekend. Shador is going to sell nothing but jerseys. We definitely have to talk about the Cowboys and the alleged vomit in a casino the night before the game. That may or may not be true. I love that story. But, Colin, I want to go to Houston, which you open with. Somebody just pointed this out. So the division leaders from last year, these are the folks who won the division. Buffalo, Baltimore, Houston and Kansas City. Probably two of those are going to miss the playoffs this year. So next August, assuming, you know, we're still doing this show, we have to remember, do not get chalky and say, oh, yeah, these are the good teams. Because every year this wacky crazy stuff happens. Now Houston's one, I think, three straight. I always say this, what I look at a coach, it's why I've always defended Lincoln Riley. His side of the ball has been unbelievable. At usc, this is where I'll support Demico Ryan's. That defense is a handful of. They may. C.J. stroud may get banged up, their run game stinks. You know, their number one backs out. But you look at that defense, Josh Allen last night, and again, he doesn't have a lot to work with. You could. The reason he was holding the ball, it was like Houston had 12 guys in the field. There was nothing, not a lot available. I mean, I love that fourth and whatever big pickup. That was a wonderful play. Then, then they, you know, it'd be nice if they could get, you know, the biggest play of the game in on time. But Houston is defensively an elite team. Well, it'd be nice if the Buffalo Bills had a wide receiver who could separate. I don't know, maybe they should have got one in the off season or at the trade deadline because Josh Allen's looking, looking around. Nobody's open, Colin. And by the way, this offensive line, can we get Dion Dawkins? He loves coming on the show. I mean, they were obliterated last night. Obliterated. How are they going to win three straight road playoff games and go to the Super Bowl. They're not. They're not. Buffalo's not going to the Super Bowl. They're not. Be sure to catch live editions of the Herd weekdays at noon Eastern, 9am PAC on Fox Sports Radio, FS1 and the iHeartRadio app. Hey, we're Covino and Rich, Fox Sports radio every day, 5 to 7pm Eastern. I'm a powerful woman. I think that's intimidating to a man. Lines and tines with Spencer Graves on the iHeartRadio app is a podcast designed for hunters and fishermen to enjoy success. I like the idea of like, hey, put me on a big deer. You know, hey, there's a big deer out here. Here he's doing this, be looking for this deer. But I also love doing it on my own. I love going out there and saying, running my cameras. I love patterning the deer. I like showing up at the right time, checking the wind, knowing what stand I need to be in. And then whenever it all comes together and it happens, that's the most satisfying thing ever. So when you do it on your own, it's like, I then can hang my hat. But if I had somebody say, hey, pull up on these dogs spots and catch them right here and you're gonna win. And then when I go in it's like, yeah, it's cool, I won the tournament, the ultimate goal is done. But it's like, dude, when you find them and you make them bite, that's the puzzle. I love it. Listen to lines and tines with Spencer Graves on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Blazing five red hot. Top of next hour. Smoking hot. I'll do something I don't rec the blazing fox. Got to take chances. Wasn't a great numbers week. So this weekend Dallas off a nice impressive Monday night when they were healthy defensively clobbered the Raiders and now Philadelphia comes to town. Cowboys are a three and a half point underdog and what's really noteworthy is that Dak Prescott I'm, I'm not really an awards guy or a, or a, you know, stat guy, you know, whatever Dak is going to become if he throws for 160 yards, the all time Cowboys leader team record in yards thrown for now he'll surpass Tony Romo. Now Dak did have two advantages over Romo. Dak for about a seven year stretch had the best offensive line in the NFL. Tony Romo for a lot of years was running for his life and number Two, it's more of a passing league now than when Tony Romo or Akman played. But here's where I love Dak. Tony Romo always felt like he was ad libbing a little more especially late than I'd love from my quarterback plan. Out of structure Dak feels very prepared, can play out of structure, is great in it and much more focused. Dak is a professional quarterback and the Cowboys are third in the league in points since he arrived. He is mature, he is prepared. It's all about football and team and he's an unbelievable leader. I know he was a fourth round draft pick. I understand that. He is a blue chip five star leader. He's had three head coaches, he's had four offensive coordinators. Jerry's gotten a little quirkier as he's aged. He had the Zeke circus, the Dak circus distracted Micah and yet Dak just always shows up and wins double digit games. Even with Brian Schottenheimer. We all had our doubts. Dallas is an elite offense. So even this week Raiders game. Why didn't CD Lamb and George Pickens start? They were out at the Red Rock Casino having a few flavored cocktails and and miss curfew and it didn't matter. Dak went out and threw four touchdowns.139 passer rating. Dak is the guy at the podium on Wednesday pregame post game, a circus and noise all around him. Plays within structure. Unbelievably coachable and as good a leader as the NFL has at his position. That's why I always say it's why I'm so hard on the Johnny Manziels out there. That's why I'm so tough on silly Jameis Winston. Maturity, focus, no distractions. There's enough noise in Dallas. Dak never has to provide it. He's just the cold water to the fire this week. And here's Jerry Jones on deck before he faces at home Eagles. He is the best leader that I've been around for a team and period and he just has a natural, just a natural sense of what the situation calls for. He's had it since he walked through the door from the get go this year. He's been our stalwart relative to our chance to win this year. Yeah, two words. Self awareness. It is absolutely crucial for one position on a football field at all times. It doesn't matter if there's a cultural or social change in America or Jerry saying something on his Monday show or post game. Change in coaches, changing coordinators, immature teammates never matters Dak A plus plus on those intangible. A quarterback needs to be a legend. Rooting for Dak to break that record. Maybe not the elite arm talent of A. Mahomes, but in the stuff that matters like leadership, maturity and focus and preparation. Good as the league has, good for him. J. Mac with the news. No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the Herd line news. All right, Colin, let's start with the Drama Kings. The Philadelphia Eagles, boy, they have been a storyline all week. It's funny, I mean, they're hurtling toward the number one seed in the NFC, yet it's drama after drama. The latest, A.J. brown. Colin. He gave an interview in the locker room yesterday and I don't. We're gonna have to talk about it afterwards. Just listen to this nonsense from AJ Brown. There's a report that there was some frustration from players on offense. Ask me about Dallas. Thank you. AJ do you pay a lot of attention what other receivers around me do, like what makes CD So. No. Why not? Gets me upset so I stay away from it. There's been speculation out there that you are not the same player. What would you say to this? I guess Aquan ain't the same player either. All right. I see maturity. I see what? I see a player that's not going to be induced into a headline. I like that from A.J. brown. So, no, no, they asked him, hey, are you maybe you're not the same player as you were last year? And he said. And he said, well, I guess Saquon, Barclays, not either. That's exactly right. That. So he's saying is. That's a ridiculous question. Are you also saying that Saquon, because his production down, is not the same player? That's not being. That's not starting a fire. If somebody asked me the same question, well, why are numbers down? Well, Saquons are down. Is he a bum? That doesn't bother me at all. That's like if you want to ask an aggressive question, then I'm going to give you an aggressive answer. And I like that from A.J. brown. So do you think this is a distraction for the Eagles heading into a huge game against Dallas? I said two years ago I thought there was too much drama between Hertz and A.J. brown. I was on it two years ago. I said they should have traded him at the super bowl to trade deadline. But now that you haven't, you can't get upset with that quote. That. That can't bother you. If you're not going to move him, then you have that he could have easily poured gas on those questions. And he's like, you're not going to do it to me? No, thank you. I mean, after 15 questions from Ink stained wretches in Philadelphia, he has a right to an opinion. Yeah. Okay, so it's interesting. There's no sound coming out from Saquon Barkley yesterday. There's no sound coming out from Jalen Hurts yesterday. Nothing really all week. Why is that? Because they're not given this nonsense to the media. No. Brown is essentially like, hey, you're not going to throw me the ball. Fine, media come over here and then I'm going to give you smart ass answers to really rank. Saquon isn't a story this year. He's not producing. He went from 2,000 yards to like 500. That's not a story. Well, it's not. I mean, the Philadelphia media will go to the locker that they feel will provide them the best quotes. So don't blame the athlete. When they all come around your chair and pepper you with aggressive questions and you say, that's a ridiculous. Saquon's numbers are down. Is he a bad player? That doesn't bother me at all. Colin, I've defended AJ Brown through much of this. Okay, we need him to win the Super Bowl. You get to a Super bowl with him, then you win a Super bowl with him. AJ Brown is instrumental to this team. But Colin, this is A division leading 8 and 2 team. I've had enough. I think he's trying to sabotage the season. He's very unhappy with what's going on. A first place team with best odds to get to the super bowl in the NFC and he's ruffling up issues causing drama all the time. Colin, I'm done with him. I believe in the off season it's time. The Eagles need to move off A.J. brown. Yes, I would you agree with that? I felt that a year ago, but so now, I mean, I started exploring options. Trade, cut, dead money. I'm done. I don't need this card. There are no options until the season is over. You had your moment. Howie Roseman said we're going to keep him. I said Devontae Smith, tight end Saquon Jalen hurts is more than enough to win a Super bowl because the defense for Philly this year is about seven really high end players, most in their prime. I think you can win a Super bowl with that defense and a decent offense, but they'll move him in the off season and he'll have takers. He's a great player. Yeah, he'll have takers because they'll be like, oh, this guy's awesome. And then six games in, he's going to turn into this. I'm just disappointed that Jalen hurts. A real pros pro has to deal with this nonsense. All right, let's go to the Kansas City Chiefs, Colin. They have a big uphill climb to the playoffs. Listen, they're 5 and 5 and according to the mathematical calculations, 43% chance to make the playoffs. Now, if they lose Sunday, if they choke as favorites and lose to the Colts, their chances to make the playoffs drop to 27%. Well, now that Buffalo can't beat Davis Mills and if they beat the Colts and by the way, we'll see what the Chargers do. Big game for the Chargers. So here's the Charger. Who are the Chargers? Are the Chargers on a buy? I believe they are in a buy. Okay, my bad. The Chargers are on a buy. My bad. According to Matt Nagy, there's nobody better to have at the helm than Andy Reid in these dire situations. He's the best leader in these moments. Right now when you get into that is like, okay, schematically, are we putting our guys in the best positions possible throughout the game and then when the plays are called and the guys go out there in that moment, are we doing it exactly how it's supposed to be done with the details? Coach Reed. When you talk about day one with Coach Reed and his organization and his team, the number one thing you talk about and you learn as a player and coaches, details that matters. Great game. I tend to favor high scoring in this game. Chiefs in a high scoring, wildly entertaining game over the Colts. So I'll be honest with the audience. I didn't have the stones, the intestinal fortitude to go against the Chiefs at home. So they're not in headlines. But I did find an interesting stat. Colin, this is kind of crazy. The Chiefs defense has given up 81% completions against play action this season, worst in the league. Do you want to guess how Daniel Jones does in play action with Shane Steichen's offense? 70% completions, 9.2 yards per attempt. I mean, the Chiefs are going to have to pick their poison. Do we want to let Jonathan Taylor run all over us or do we want to get burned down the field by Pittman, Warren and company in the play action? I want to take the Colts, but I'm being a little bit of a wuss. Colin, I noticed you wussed out as well. That's not one of my pets. Final story. Let's go to the Seahawks. My guy Zach brought me one of the craziest stats. I was not aware of this. Did you know the Seahawks lead the NFL in turnovers? Yes. What? The Seahawks are incredible and they lead the league in turnovers. A lot of that has to do with your boy Sam Darnold. Colin. The interceptions are a problem. Here's Darnold talking about reigning in the picks. I mean, it's unacceptable. You know, we understand as an offense, we have to be better. I have to be better protecting the football. And we're doing everything that we can in practice and when the game comes to try to, you know, take care of the football a little bit better. So the other turnover leaders are the Vikings, Dolphins and Bengals. They have something in common. They're not going to the playoffs. Okay. And the Seahawks somehow lead the league in turnovers and are going to the playoffs and maybe going to the Super Bowl. Sam Darnold, Colin, third in the NFL in interceptions. They're playing so well, I didn't even realize that. Does Darnold have a bit of an issue that he needs to tighten up here? Well, I mean, they're also. Of those four teams mentioned, they have the deepest, most talented athletic speed on offense. So they're a team that is a lot. It's the second youngest offense in the league. They're growing. Yeah. I mean, it's. Again, I supported Andrew Luck. I support Sam Darnold, Peyton Manning, you can go. Joe Namath, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre. I can live with picks. Brady threw a pick six in a Super Bowl. Are you productive? Are you willing to throw the ball down the field? Do you score touchdowns? Does your team SC that stuff? He checks all those boxes. He is an incredibly dynamic athlete at quarterback. I love the. I'm sure the audience picked this up. All those quarterbacks you just rattled off, you were like, sam Darnold throws picks. So does Andrew Luck, Tom Brady, all these legends in the NFL and Sam Darnold's name crowbar in there. Well done, sir. J. Mack with the news. Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping by the herd lie news. I am. I saw something yesterday. I don't ever root for people to get fired, but I saw the Lakers fired Joey Buss and Jesse Buss, Jeannie's brothers. They were fired yesterday. And they'd been with the team for a long time. I guess one of their accomplishments was getting undrafted. Austin Reeves, they deserve credit for that. But it is official now. The Mark Walter Group. It's no longer. The Lakers are no longer a mom and pop operation. They have entered the 21st century. Too many friends of the Buss family and members of the Buss family. For a decade, GM Rob Pelinka was Kobe's agent. He actually, I don't have a problem with him pulled off the Luca deal. Austin Reeves deserves credit. But the Lakers new owners are the Dodgers owners. And they got rid of stars. And they're unbelievable in research and development. In fact, last night, name drop. I went to dinner with the Chicago Cubs owner, Tom Ricketts, wonderful guy. And I asked him about the Dodgers and he said, man, that ownership group is really smart. Could have been envious. He's like, no, they really are smart. The Lakers officially will be playing by a new standard, okay? And if Austin Reeves signs a new contract, it will be and should be Laker friendly. They don't need another guy that needs the ball and plays limited defense. So the Western Conference is loaded with sharp general managers, very good coaches, stacked rosters, and all sorts of youth. LeBron James at 40 should absolutely not be part of their future. If you want to let him play this year and you want to keep him through the trade deadline, I'm for it. But the Rams and the Dodgers are brilliantly run. And you cannot look at LeBron. And this is a very touchy subject, right? At least it was with a Bus family. What to do with LeBron? He's 40. We all know what to do, which is JJ Redick, who by the way, is the eighth coach since Phil Jackson left. And JJ Redick has some luck on his side because his ownership group is the real deal. All you have to do is watch the Dodgers. They let Seeger go and Trey Turner go, and Cody Bellinger and Manny Machado and the deferred payments. You go look at the Dodgers. The way they negotiated their local TV deal, they were unbelievably savvy. So by the way, the Athletic did a survey, a poll of major league baseball GMs and executives. And even with all the envy with the Dodgers, they finished number one, triple as many first place votes as any other team. And you know, there's a lot of envy in the Dodgers. Athletic did a poll on the NBA front offices. Lakers did not get one first place vote. I'm just telling you how the league views them. So the standard now for the Lakers sports in 2025, all of them are smarter, okay? You can no longer lean on. Hey, players love to play in LA. Players love to play with great coaches, great GMs, great rosters. Players like to hoist trophies. They can make a fortune in Oklahoma City. They want to play on good teams, stack rosters, make money, hoist trophies. That's what players want. So I mean, I be honest about it. The last several years, when the Bus family owned it, you're like, who's controlling the franchise? Rob, Jeannie, LeBron, Mark Walter and that group are controlling the franchise. No longer a mom and pop shop and it has been for too long. All right, Blazing five at the top of the hour and I'm not guilty. I don't feel bad for what I'm about to say. I can't wait to watch the Cleveland Browns and Shadour Sanders and the Raiders. No guilt. I'm going to have a no guilt weekend. I can't wait to watch 2, 2 and 18 because of the Shadour Sanders soap opera that next the Herd. Be sure to catch live editions of the Herd. There are 11 different Shador Sanders prop bets for Sunday as Cleveland takes on the Raiders. So I, I know some of you think, Colin, you media people are blowing this out of proportion, folks. Say it out loud. Famous young athlete, dad's a superstar. Many fans think his career is being sabotaged by the general manager and head coach. He plummets in the draft, laughs about it and oh, by the way, multiple speeding tickets in camp. Is that not interesting? TMZ was built on guys like Shedeur. It's fascinating. It's a soap opera. Now. I don't think he's going to be great against the Raiders. Why? Because I don't think he's great. But we all love tension and you have real tension here. There's a lot of people that absolutely believe that the Cleveland Browns are mismanaging and under coaching him and are rooting against him actively. I don't. Let's see who's right. So, and I've said this before, not every game has to be the super bowl or Ohio State, Michigan or a Dodger Yankee World Series or, you know, Duke Carolina. I grew up on Evel Knievel and I've always loved watching the Little League World Series. And this has a Jake Paul fight reality television show. I'll be Andy Cohen between Max Crosby and the Raiders and Shadour Sanders and the Cleveland Browns. And I can't wait. I mean, Tim Tebow games were ugly. They were kind of interesting. They got massive ratings for different reasons. So I don't think he's going to be great. But you can't tell me it's not interesting. 2 and 8 versus 2 and 8 NFL's king for this reason. I would be shocked if this doesn't get a it's a spectacle if it doesn't get a real number. And you know, again, not every game that is fascinating is fascinating because the teams are great. We're watching the Buffalo Bills fall apart. That is fascinating. I mean last night would that game, my show today, if Buffalo won by 20, it's not an interesting game. The fact Buffalo loss is interesting. I mean I said, I think I said this yesterday. If you told me I could pick the three most interesting things from the weekend. If I, and I always say I root for interesting. If you told me three things I wished happened, it would be. Shadour Sanders is amazing. The Cowboys upset the Eagles. Caleb Williams wins again out duels. Aaron Rodgers. That would be a great Monday show. And Lane Kiffin says, LSU here I come. I'm sorry, they're interesting. Here is Shadour on his first NFL start. I think it's going to be exciting. I know a lot of y' all gonna be there. I know you can't miss it. You cannot miss this moment. It'll be definitely exciting. We going out there with a purpose, going out there mentally ready, no distractions, no anything and you know, I'll be excited. He's a likable guy. I don't love his judgment or his sometimes lack of self awareness. He seems like a pleasant kid. So I don't think he's going to be great. He made a couple of great plays. I would probably, if I was going to bet it, I think I'd probably go Raiders here because I have a veteran quarterback and I have Max Crosby and and Shador's first start. But I don't. It's way better for the show if he's amazing. Way way. Everybody thinks he's going to struggle outside of the conspiracy theory dorks, but it would be way better if he's amazing. An amazing would be 21 of 27, two touchdowns, no picks, sack two or three times. You know, realistically a couple of ran backwards got whacked. I mean that, that's kind of his game, but I'm rooting for it. So for the years I've been doing this, whenever somebody for a team, it could be a player, it could be a gm, it could be a coach. Whenever they get really, really annoyed with the media, it's generally because the media poked him where they're already a little sore. So Brandon Bean this offseason got very mad with the Buffalo radio show. And again Buffalo is a smaller market like Green Bay, pretty supportive of the local team. But the Bills went out in this last draft and they just drafted defensive guys. They went and got a tight end out of Georgia in the fifth round who's a nice number three tight end, good pick. I like like that pick, but it was just all defense. Now, I've said before, once you. It's an offensive league, so you should pay a star quarterback, a star left tackle and a weapon or two. I believe outside of a great defensive lineman, you should just draft defense. Keep defense young and twitchy and inexpensive. So I Generally, I defend GMs when once they have the quarterback right and the left tackle right, and the Bills do draft defense. Just pay Josh and Dion Dawkins and James Cook, whatever you got to pay them. Draft defense. Ed Oliver's good. He's not great, but he is good and they pay him. So I, I will defend Buffalo's draft last year. But the fact that he got so worked up when the Buffalo media said, we need receivers, why didn't, with the first five picks, you take a receiver? You guys were bitching in 2018 about Josh Allen. You guys wanted Josh Rosen, and now you guys are bitching that we don't have a receiver. I don't get it. No one scored more points than the Buffalo Bills, including the super bowl champions. How is this group not better than last year's group? Like, I don't like. Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better defense? We did that. So I get it. You got to have a show and you gotta. You gotta have something to about. But bitching about wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I've heard. It's really not because you have to contextualize why they're scoring points. Josh Allen, try a backup for a week, see how it goes. Baltimore went with Tyler Huntley and scored 30 points against Chicago, a 7 and 3 team, because Baltimore does a lot. Well, both the Rams a couple years ago won a game. Baker Mayfield came in, had one practice. Minnesota, Josh Dobbs, no practices, won a game. He threw for 350 yards. The reason you're number one is because you have probably the single most talented player that's ever played the position and in your division. The jets are a circus. Miami's a slightly more competent circus. And last year, a couple years ago, when you were beating the pants off of New England, they were a disaster. They're now winning the division. So I don't think, I mean, I. I can't just like your running backs and tight ends. It's not 1954 no Wing T. I need. I need to like your receivers. And I'm not saying you have to pay a couple of them, but you got a great slot receiver, and that's kind of It. And, you know, Keon Coleman's immature. You got to bake that in. A lot of young receivers are. So it's not just that the media is trying to stir something smaller. Market media is usually incredibly supportive. You go to Philly, Boston, New York, Dallas, Atlanta, it gets a little loud, and they got a lot of options and they got multiple pro and college teams. But when the Bills have lost this season, they have averaged 16.5 points. You're losing to Tua and Panicks and Davis Mills. Davis Mills engineered two long drives. So I think it's fair game to criticize not drafting a receiver. Again, I am for keeping your defense young and cheap. I think this is an offensive league. I don't understand what the Steelers are doing year after year after year having the most expensive defense in the league. I don't get it. I like what the Rams do. I like mostly what the Chiefs do. They pay Chris Jones, and then it's mostly they pay offensive guys. And even they had to move off Joe Tuney. So you don't have to be the Bengals and have T. Higgins and Jamar Chase. But I think it was a fair criticism. And it's not just, hey, we had a great offense. Well, I mean, Philadelphia, I'll give you an example. Philadelphia won the super bowl and keeps winning. And all their GM does is tweak, tweak, trade, trade, tweak, tweak, tweak, tweak. Philadelphia could be like, hey, won the Super Bowl. We don't need to make any moves at trade deadline. But Howie Roseman's like, our passing game's not good enough, and our offensive line, we're banged up. So Philadelphia win Super Bowls and they're. And they are making move after move after move at the trade deadline. Why? Because you got to stay ahead of it. You got to see problems. What's the old business saying? Got to see around corners. You got to see the problems before they arise. So when you went into a season and you're hoping Keon Coleman becomes the number one receiver, that's rough. That. That. That position creates drama and has drama so blazing. Five at the top of next hour. 61.8 on the season. Listen, there's a bad week coming. Maybe it's this one. It's. It's. We could put the NFL schedule up. I. When you look at this schedule, it does not look like it's going to be wildly entertaining. But just keep your eye on Colts, Chiefs, Steelers, Bears. Keep your eye on Jags, Arizona, Dallas, Philadelphia. Now, Dallas is getting three and a half at home. J Mac has brought up the points. The first meeting Jalen Carter didn't play and they didn't have Jalen Phillips and the O line for Dallas and pass protection is is dicey. But I will say without Lane Johnson this Philadelphia offense comes to a screeching halt and Dallas is finally healthy. Last week I tend to think it's a low scoring game so if you if I had to take a side this was the last game that I dropped from the blazing five. I had Dallas plus three and a half it was the last game I dropped it would be if I pick six that would be in it. Elliot's a good kicker for the Eagles, but he's no Brandon Aubrey. And indoors Brandon Aubrey, I mean you don't need to get too far into Eagles territory before your kicker's a weapon. So I do like the Dallas special teams angle for sure. That's going to be a great game. Great game. Eagles at the Cowboys and there is your reality host cowherd Probing journalist This is an iHeart podcast.
