These are very quick episodes and I say that very often. And then we do a regular 45 minutes. This one is the AFC. One minute per team. There will I will be forced to move on. They will play a whistle once we do one minute on the team. This is something I used to do when I did radio in Kansas City. I first started doing this actually we did 32 teams in 32 minutes non stop as an A block. I think once a quarter during the NFL season every month. This will be a nice little preamble. We're doing the AFC today. We'll do the NFC in a couple days. So you guys have something in your feeds during the week while I'm off. Then we're back with our live shows first week of August. We will get started right now and you start the clock on me now. The AFC east. The Buffalo Bills. Obviously the story with the bills is Sean McDermott out, Josh Allen or Josh Allen and Joe Brady in and how will that impact the offense? How will that impact Josh Allen? And is DJ Moore enough of an upgrade to give Josh Allen a legitimate top flight receiving threat which he has not had not even since the final year of Stefon Diggs, but the second to last year of Stefon Diggs? I know some people believe this is no longer their division to win and the reason you would believe that is because they didn't win it last year. I still think it is their division to win. I think Josh Allen, what he has now the one thing he has over Patrick since Patrick's coming off the torn ACL is availability. He's never missed a game. He's always been there. So I think they are almost a lock for 10 wins. I also think they probably got worse at head coach and their super bowl chances did take a bit of a hit. Next Miami Dolphins new everything new head coach Jeff Halfley. Not over the moon about that. New quarterback Malik Willis. I do like the the gamble on Malik Willis. I feel bad and the low price on Malik Willis. I feel badly that Malik Willis is being asked to do it with a team that wants a that the only investment they had was in him and everything else. It's trade away their best players get get off bad contracts. It is smart for them to be turning this page. It puts Malik in a brutal spot. But the Miami Dolphins are cleaning their books. Moving on from Tyreek, moving on from tua. This is the closest we will see to a team tank in the NFL since the Dolphins last tried to do it. Brian Flores wouldn't let him do it and that's part of the reason he got fired. But this should be the worst team in football next year. Patriots. They won 14 games. They had the softest schedule this century in the NFL. Not amongst playoff teams, not among super bowl teams. The softest schedule of any team since the the 99 Rams. They also had let's call it an interesting offseason with the Mike Vrabel, Diana Rossini story that seems to be over. But that story is over until it is not. And I say that only because is there a chance that there is a massive shoe to drop on that story that the person holding has been waiting until it would cause peak damage? I think there is a chance. So that's going to be just simmering in the background if you will. The other story is how Drake May looked in the playoffs. Was that just young quarterback first playoff run or was that quarterback finally facing real defenses, real teams and showed some holes. Also worried about will came on the offensive line. And then the Jets, I mean they brought Geno back. They inexplicably also brought back their head coach. I like Geno. I believed in Geno last year. I think Geno probably is now on the downtick. So I don't think that's going to work. I also think they might in Aaron Glenn. I don't want to be rude. They might have the worst coach in the NFL. That is rude. There's no way not to be rude. What the most interesting part about the AFC east is you have two teams that are legitimate super bowl contenders in the Bills and Patriots. And then the other two teams should be the two worst teams in the NFL in my eyes in the Dolphins and the Jets. I don't have much to say about the Jets. Now to the AFC North. Listen, John Harbaugh, it ran its course. I suppose there is a version of be careful what you wish for here. Now I entered just like even though I didn't I I like Sean McDermott enough but I also like John Harbaugh enough but the Ravens I really like the guy they hired in Jesse Mentor. I'm not as high on Joe Brady so I'm a little more optimistic about that. The Ravens got the head coach right there and both listen we've talked about it before. Every coach quarterback combo that ever won a Super bowl together won their first one within their first five years. For Lamar and for Josh Allen they were Talking about it was we were into year eight, so moving on makes sense. But why should the Ravens be dramatically better than they were next last year? The answer is, well, Lamar will be better and will be healthier. Probably it I don't think the Trey Hendrickson addition is enough. I'm going to spend a little extra time here. Sorry. Enough of a massive upgrade for me to believe that defense is going to be dominant, which means Lamar is going to have to be Lamar and which means Derrick Henry can't fall off. It's asking a lot. I think they'll be good. Not great. Sorry. Cincinnati Bengals, we took 20 seconds of your time. I the Bengals don't like firing coaches because they don't like paying people not to work for them. But if they miss the playoffs again, obviously Zach Taylor's getting fired and I just want someone to explain to me why this team is going to be different than it's been the last three years, which is an elite offense when Burrow is there a defense that can stop no one, an offensive line that is shaky that Burrow tries to bail out, a running game that's shaky couple great receivers and if another nine win seasons what I see Speaking of the worst teams in the league, the Browns were like, hey, you left us out. Todd Monken with the saddest quarterback battle I've ever seen. Deshaun Watson and Shador Sanders. And for Todd Monkin, man, I understand there's only 32 head coaching jobs and I understand in Baltimore, the head coach got fired. You weren't coming off a great year. So you get a head coaching job, you got to grab it. But you're not going to. What head coach in the league wants to be in a spot where he's not even the one who gets to pick his starting quarterback? Because I don't think he does. I think the owner there, Jimmy Haslam, is going to put his finger on the scale. It seemed like the owner was out on desean, now might be back in on desean. I, I think, I think desean Watson's career as an NFL quarterback is over. I don't know if Shador Sanders is ever going to have a career as an NFL starting quarterback. So they probably not. Probably, definitely have the worst quarterback situation in the league, which is a shame because even without Miles Garrett, that defense should be excellent again. But I don't know how they're going to move the ball. And then to me, one of the least interesting teams in NFL history that has a Super bowl champion quarterback and a Super bowl champion coach together In Rogers and McCarthy, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers, I thought, were moving on from Mike Tomlin because they needed to finally turn the page. Get younger, try to win games, not tank, but do an on the fly rebuild if you will. Instead, they hire one of the older coaches in the league, a guy on his third team who Again, Mike McCarthy's a good coach, but he's not going to be there for 10 years. And you bring back the oldest player in the NFL and Aaron Rodgers. It simply doesn't make any sense to me why they won't take their medicine and try to build the next super bowl champion rather than trying to build the next wild card winner. AFC South Houston Texans the Only Question the the only question for the Texans is this. Who is the real CJ Stroud now? In his defense, he has never had an elite running attack. He has never had even a good forget great offensive line. And despite that, they have not only made the playoffs, they have won a playoff game every year he's been there. With that said, all you need in Houston is league average quarterback play and you're a terrifying team demo Ryan. Plus that defense makes you a legitimate super bowl contender if you have the 16th highest scoring offense and your quarterback can stay upright, not turn the ball over. I don't know what's happened to C.J. stroud over the last couple years. This year all of a sudden becomes the prove it year for his career also. So no contract extension Colts I Has anybody checked on Daniel Jones Achilles? The Colts we said it at the time when they traded multiple first round picks for Sauce Gardner. They were going all in on Daniel Jones and Daniel Jones sadly right after that popped his Achilles and now they're in flux. I to me they are understandably out on Anthony Richardson and they are just in something of limbo when it comes to is Daniel Jones going to be able to recapture anything of what we saw from him the first half of last year where the numbers were amazing where where the team was playing great and where they felt like they were in win now mode enough they traded multiple first round picks for a corner. Sauce will help. The defense obviously should be healthy coming into this year, but it is. You know Sauce also is a guy I said should be healthy coming into this year. I guess that's a bit of a question mark. There they are. They are one of the more it feels like snake bitten snake bitten maybe is too strong but it feels like they don't really have a great path. All right, coming finally sorry into my Jags time the Jags question Listen Trevor just finished fifth in MVP voting. They won 13 games. I think Liam Cohen's a good coach. You guys know how I feel about Trevor. The Travis Hunter reporting This offseason was poorly done. He still wants to play both sides of the ball. I think he is going to have a bigger focus on the defensive side of the ball. But they did not trade those picks and draft him at number two for him to just be a corner. He's the most intriguing guy on the team. We've, you know what? We it's okay. We went a little short on the Jags because I've spent so much time on the Jags historically. Titans Bob Sala gets a new job. We know that he will coach up the defense. Now personnel wise, do they have almost about as about as little talent defensively as any team in the league? Maybe. Well, but we saw Robert Salah take teams with average talent defensively in San Francisco and make them look like a top five defense. Defense. So I believe in that side of it. I and I actually think Robert Sala outside of the jets might be able to prove he's a good NFL head coach. He didn't do well with the Jets. I'll give him a chance to prove it. Of course, the question is, does Cam Ward take a leap? He, you know, he was very open and honest about how bad they were last year. He was a big part of that. If Cam Ward takes the year two quarterback leap, the little hope in Tennessee now to the AFC West. Oh my God, this hurts my heart. They put the Denver Broncos first on the run on the AFC west. So Davis Webb is now the play caller.

I know that they're saying that, but I Sean Payton, I feel like is going to have the laminated paper in front of him. But the real question is Bo Nix, the little bit of tete a tet with Sean Payton about his ankle. But the legitimate concern about the ankle injury. This Broncos team is the defending number one seed. They beat the Bills. They didn't get their real shot in the AFC Championship game because of Bo's injury and I didn't believe in them last year. I was proven wrong. Bo Nix, one of the worst quarterbacks in the league until he's trailing and then instantly transforms into one of the better quarterbacks in the league. I can't quite explain it. The relationship between he and Sean Payton is the most interesting part of their season. I also think they take a bit of a step back from 14 wins. The Chiefs. Here's what everyone's gotten wrong about the Chiefs. I've told you guys all along. Patrick Mullers are going to be dancing and Travis Kelce's wedding is going to be starting week one that is correct. I the Chiefs obviously remade their secondary in this offseason, including trading up in the draft for Mansour Delane. I think they'll be fine there. I think Spags will coach that unit up. The biggest reason the Chiefs will bounce back this year aside from finally got some rest, the three straight super bowl appearances were on them. All of that Mahomes will be better is because for the first time in five years people are going to have to respect the running game. Kenneth Walker does not have to be great. Kenneth Walker just has to be competent and it's the best running attack the Chiefs will have had in at least three seasons. The addition of Kenneth Walker will prove to be one of the biggest additions any team made in the league this year. Raiders knew everything. New head coach Clint Kubiak, new quarterback Kirk Cousins and of course number one pick Fernando Mendoza. I One of my favorite not I'm not actually saying you should bet this, but one of my favorite kind of, you know, bets with friends. When do we see Fernando Mendoza? I am going to give you two dates that are disparate dates. I think we either see Fernando Mendoza in week three at New Orleans and if we don't, we're not going to see him. I do not believe he's going to start week one and if we do not see him week three at New Orleans, I I do not think we will see him until week eight at the Jets. They don't have their buy until week 13. I don't think they're going to wait that long. I also don't think in between those week three and week eight games, it's Kansas City, New England, Buffalo, Los Angeles. I don't think they're going to start him there. So week three at New Orleans or week eight at the Jets. I actually like the idea of him not having his first start at home. And last but not least, Los Angeles Chargers. They finally got, you know, this is the year for the Chargers. Now guys, their offensive line is back. Justin Herb, well, their tackles are back. The interior of the offensive line is going to be the excuse this year I would imagine. I am sur Mike McDaniel will help and Mike McDaniel is good. I am surprised they did not prioritize getting Herbert more receiving weapons. They are still holding on to hope that Quentin Johnston can validate his draft selection. I don't think he's going to validate his draft selection. I like lad McConkey, but I don't think Herbert has a ton of great options deep down the field. I also think this year we might say Jim Harbaugh. Maybe some of the NFL magic is gone a bit. But we're going to have to figure something out, because what we do know about the Chargers is it won't be Herbert's fault. All right, 16 minutes, 16 teams. I thought we did pretty well. They will play a whistle once we do one minute on the team. This is something I used to do when I did radio in Kansas City. I first started doing this actually we did 32 teams in 32 minutes non stop as an A block. I think once a quarter during the NFL season every month. This will be a nice little preamble. We're doing the AFC today. We'll do the NFC in a couple days. So you guys have something in your feeds during the week while I'm off. Then we're back with our live shows first week of August. We will get started right now and you start the clock on me now. The AFC east. The Buffalo Bills. Obviously the story with the bills is Sean McDermott out, Josh Allen or Josh Allen and Joe Brady in and how will that impact the offense? How will that impact Josh Allen? And is DJ Moore enough of an upgrade to give Josh Allen a legitimate top flight receiving threat which he has not had not even since the final year of Stefon Diggs, but the second to last year of Stefon Diggs? I know some people believe this is no longer their division to win and the reason you would believe that is because they didn't win it last year. I still think it is their division to win. I think Josh Allen, what he has now the one thing he has over Patrick since Patrick's coming off the torn ACL is availability. He's never missed a game. He's always been there. So I think they are almost a lock for 10 wins. I also think they probably got worse at head coach and their super bowl chances did take a bit of a hit. Next Miami Dolphins new everything new head coach Jeff Halfley. Not over the moon about that. New quarterback Malik Willis. I do like the the gamble on Malik Willis. I feel bad and the low price on Malik Willis. I feel badly that Malik Willis is being asked to do it with a team that wants a that the only investment they had was in him and everything else. It's trade away their best players get get off bad contracts. It is smart for them to be turning this page. It puts Malik in a brutal spot. But the Miami Dolphins are cleaning their books. Moving on from Tyreek, moving on from tua. This is the closest we will see to a team tank in the NFL since the Dolphins last tried to do it. Brian Flores wouldn't let him do it and that's part of the reason he got fired. But this should be the worst team in football next year. Patriots. They won 14 games. They had the softest schedule this century in the NFL. Not amongst playoff teams, not among super bowl teams. The softest schedule of any team since the the 99 Rams. They also had let's call it an interesting offseason with the Mike Vrabel, Diana Rossini story that seems to be over. But that story is over until it is not. And I say that only because is there a chance that there is a massive shoe to drop on that story that the person holding has been waiting until it would cause peak damage? I think there is a chance. So that's going to be just simmering in the background if you will. The other story is how Drake May looked in the playoffs. Was that just young quarterback first playoff run or was that quarterback finally facing real defenses, real teams and showed some holes. Also worried about will came on the offensive line. And then the Jets, I mean they brought Geno back. They inexplicably also brought back their head coach. I like Geno. I believed in Geno last year. I think Geno probably is now on the downtick. So I don't think that's going to work. I also think they might in Aaron Glenn. I don't want to be rude. They might have the worst coach in the NFL. That is rude. There's no way not to be rude. What the most interesting part about the AFC east is you have two teams that are legitimate super bowl contenders in the Bills and Patriots. And then the other two teams should be the two worst teams in the NFL in my eyes in the Dolphins and the Jets. I don't have much to say about the Jets. Now to the AFC North. Listen, John Harbaugh, it ran its course. I suppose there is a version of be careful what you wish for here. Now I entered just like even though I didn't I I like Sean McDermott enough but I also like John Harbaugh enough but the Ravens I really like the guy they hired in Jesse Mentor. I'm not as high on Joe Brady so I'm a little more optimistic about that. The Ravens got the head coach right there and both listen we've talked about it before. Every coach quarterback combo that ever won a Super bowl together won their first one within their first five years. For Lamar and for Josh Allen they were Talking about it was we were into year eight, so moving on makes sense. But why should the Ravens be dramatically better than they were next last year? The answer is, well, Lamar will be better and will be healthier. Probably it I don't think the Trey Hendrickson addition is enough. I'm going to spend a little extra time here. Sorry. Enough of a massive upgrade for me to believe that defense is going to be dominant, which means Lamar is going to have to be Lamar and which means Derrick Henry can't fall off. It's asking a lot. I think they'll be good. Not great. Sorry. Cincinnati Bengals, we took 20 seconds of your time. I the Bengals don't like firing coaches because they don't like paying people not to work for them. But if they miss the playoffs again, obviously Zach Taylor's getting fired and I just want someone to explain to me why this team is going to be different than it's been the last three years, which is an elite offense when Burrow is there a defense that can stop no one, an offensive line that is shaky that Burrow tries to bail out, a running game that's shaky couple great receivers and if another nine win seasons what I see Speaking of the worst teams in the league, the Browns were like, hey, you left us out. Todd Monken with the saddest quarterback battle I've ever seen. Deshaun Watson and Shador Sanders. And for Todd Monkin, man, I understand there's only 32 head coaching jobs and I understand in Baltimore, the head coach got fired. You weren't coming off a great year. So you get a head coaching job, you got to grab it. But you're not going to. What head coach in the league wants to be in a spot where he's not even the one who gets to pick his starting quarterback? Because I don't think he does. I think the owner there, Jimmy Haslam, is going to put his finger on the scale. It seemed like the owner was out on desean, now might be back in on desean. I, I think, I think desean Watson's career as an NFL quarterback is over. I don't know if Shador Sanders is ever going to have a career as an NFL starting quarterback. So they probably not. Probably, definitely have the worst quarterback situation in the league, which is a shame because even without Miles Garrett, that defense should be excellent again. But I don't know how they're going to move the ball. And then to me, one of the least interesting teams in NFL history that has a Super bowl champion quarterback and a Super bowl champion coach together In Rogers and McCarthy, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers, I thought, were moving on from Mike Tomlin because they needed to finally turn the page. Get younger, try to win games, not tank, but do an on the fly rebuild if you will. Instead, they hire one of the older coaches in the league, a guy on his third team who Again, Mike McCarthy's a good coach, but he's not going to be there for 10 years. And you bring back the oldest player in the NFL and Aaron Rodgers. It simply doesn't make any sense to me why they won't take their medicine and try to build the next super bowl champion rather than trying to build the next wild card winner. AFC South Houston Texans the Only Question the the only question for the Texans is this. Who is the real CJ Stroud now? In his defense, he has never had an elite running attack. He has never had even a good forget great offensive line. And despite that, they have not only made the playoffs, they have won a playoff game every year he's been there. With that said, all you need in Houston is league average quarterback play and you're a terrifying team demo Ryan. Plus that defense makes you a legitimate super bowl contender if you have the 16th highest scoring offense and your quarterback can stay upright, not turn the ball over. I don't know what's happened to C.J. stroud over the last couple years. This year all of a sudden becomes the prove it year for his career also. So no contract extension Colts I Has anybody checked on Daniel Jones Achilles? The Colts we said it at the time when they traded multiple first round picks for Sauce Gardner. They were going all in on Daniel Jones and Daniel Jones sadly right after that popped his Achilles and now they're in flux. I to me they are understandably out on Anthony Richardson and they are just in something of limbo when it comes to is Daniel Jones going to be able to recapture anything of what we saw from him the first half of last year where the numbers were amazing where where the team was playing great and where they felt like they were in win now mode enough they traded multiple first round picks for a corner. Sauce will help. The defense obviously should be healthy coming into this year, but it is. You know Sauce also is a guy I said should be healthy coming into this year. I guess that's a bit of a question mark. There they are. They are one of the more it feels like snake bitten snake bitten maybe is too strong but it feels like they don't really have a great path. All right, coming finally sorry into my Jags time the Jags question Listen Trevor just finished fifth in MVP voting. They won 13 games. I think Liam Cohen's a good coach. You guys know how I feel about Trevor. The Travis Hunter reporting This offseason was poorly done. He still wants to play both sides of the ball. I think he is going to have a bigger focus on the defensive side of the ball. But they did not trade those picks and draft him at number two for him to just be a corner. He's the most intriguing guy on the team. We've, you know what? We it's okay. We went a little short on the Jags because I've spent so much time on the Jags historically. Titans Bob Sala gets a new job. We know that he will coach up the defense. Now personnel wise, do they have almost about as about as little talent defensively as any team in the league? Maybe. Well, but we saw Robert Salah take teams with average talent defensively in San Francisco and make them look like a top five defense. Defense. So I believe in that side of it. I and I actually think Robert Sala outside of the jets might be able to prove he's a good NFL head coach. He didn't do well with the Jets. I'll give him a chance to prove it. Of course, the question is, does Cam Ward take a leap? He, you know, he was very open and honest about how bad they were last year. He was a big part of that. If Cam Ward takes the year two quarterback leap, the little hope in Tennessee now to the AFC West. Oh my God, this hurts my heart. They put the Denver Broncos first on the run on the AFC west. So Davis Webb is now the play caller.

I know that they're saying that, but I Sean Payton, I feel like is going to have the laminated paper in front of him. But the real question is Bo Nix, the little bit of tete a tet with Sean Payton about his ankle. But the legitimate concern about the ankle injury. This Broncos team is the defending number one seed. They beat the Bills. They didn't get their real shot in the AFC Championship game because of Bo's injury and I didn't believe in them last year. I was proven wrong. Bo Nix, one of the worst quarterbacks in the league until he's trailing and then instantly transforms into one of the better quarterbacks in the league. I can't quite explain it. The relationship between he and Sean Payton is the most interesting part of their season. I also think they take a bit of a step back from 14 wins. The Chiefs. Here's what everyone's gotten wrong about the Chiefs. I've told you guys all along. Patrick Mullers are going to be dancing and Travis Kelce's wedding is going to be starting week one that is correct. I the Chiefs obviously remade their secondary in this offseason, including trading up in the draft for Mansour Delane. I think they'll be fine there. I think Spags will coach that unit up. The biggest reason the Chiefs will bounce back this year aside from finally got some rest, the three straight super bowl appearances were on them. All of that Mahomes will be better is because for the first time in five years people are going to have to respect the running game. Kenneth Walker does not have to be great. Kenneth Walker just has to be competent and it's the best running attack the Chiefs will have had in at least three seasons. I do not believe he's going to start week one and if we do not see him week three at New Orleans, I I do not think we will see him until week eight at the Jets. They don't have their buy until week 13. I don't think they're going to wait that long. I also don't think in between those week three and week eight games, it's Kansas City, New England, Buffalo, Los Angeles. I don't think they're going to start him there. So week three at New Orleans or week eight at the Jets. I actually like the idea of him not having his first start at home. And last but not least, Los Angeles Chargers. They finally got, you know, this is the year for the Chargers. Now guys, their offensive line is back. Justin Herb, well, their tackles are back. The interior of the offensive line is going to be the excuse this year I would imagine. I am sur Mike McDaniel will help and Mike McDaniel is good. I am surprised they did not prioritize getting Herbert more receiving weapons. They are still holding on to hope that Quentin Johnston can validate his draft selection. I don't think he's going to validate his draft selection. I like lad McConkey, but I don't think Herbert has a ton of great options deep down the field. I also think this year we might say Jim Harbaugh. Maybe some of the NFL magic is gone a bit. But we're going to have to figure something out, because what we do know about the Chargers is it won't be Herbert's fault. All right, 16 minutes, 16 teams. I thought we did pretty well.
