Are hustling hard to get amazing new gifts into stores right up to the last minute. Like a designer perfume for that friend who never RSVP'd wishlist topping toys for her kids who came too. Belgian chocolates for the neighbor, A cozy scarf for your boss, and a wool jacket for your husband that you definitely did not almost forget. Marshalls. We get the deals, you get the good stuff. Even at the last minute.
C
Whew.
B
Find a Marshall's near you. We are at Reagan Airport, and for the first time maybe in my life, I'm at an airport. Not to get on a plane, which feels really weird. But I have been asked to come speak at a press conference with Secretary Duffy and Secretary Kennedy and our awesome friend Dr. Paul Saladino about a new initiative to make travel family friendly again in America, a huge component of which is adding more nursing spaces for breastfeeding moms. In airports across the country that are safe, that are clean. The outlets work, there are sinks that are working, the lights turn on. This was something I never had to think about until I had a baby. And now that I'm in three, four airports a week sometimes, it is astounding to me how poorly run these facilities actually are. And here is a really good example of a great airport that's doing it well. But all across the country, it is so hard to find a great space where I can feed my daughter or pump when I'm away from her and make sure that it is a safe environment to be in, too. So as we're reviving the American family and we're fighting really hard for that, I'm so excited to see more initiatives just like this one. Come to.
Foreign.
Say hi.
D
Oh, is this. What number is this?
B
This is one number one Y. Oh, my goodness. You have some surprise. Can you say thank you, Secretary Duffy? This Make Travel Family Friendly Again initiative is part of a huge holistic project spearheaded by Secretary Duffy to make airport travel so much more accessible and enjoyable for young families. Again, right away. When we arrived at the airport yesterday, Secretary Duffy brought us into one of the most beautiful, clean nursing spaces I think exist in an airport across the country here at Reagan and pointed out some of the really cool features for.
D
Us over here at dca. And we're in one of the nursing rooms. Again, we think it's so important that we have facilities for nursing moms to come to and have privacy with, with their, with the little babies. It's a role of our airports, but it's also the role of, of DOT to make sure we have these facilities and the resources available to make sure we can support nursing moms. So Isabelle is here, Dr. Paul Saladino and the great Bobby Kennedy Jr. But again, all of us working together to make sure we have facilities and places for moms like you, who you're a young mother, you have a seven month old baby.
B
I do, Yep. She's seven months old. Thank you, Secretary Duffy. And you know, being a breastfeeding mom for the first time ever, these are things you never think about until you have to think about them when you're traveling so often. I'm in sometimes three, four airports a week, and not all of the rooms are as nice as this one, if they exist at all. I believe the law says that every terminal in an airport has to provide a space for moms to nurse, but it says nothing about how big it is, if there's a sink in there, if the outlets work, how clean it is. And that's where we're really missing the infrastructure to help support moms to make this really empowering, important choice. It's shocking to me to see just how much breastfeeding is still attacked on social media because it's not convenient, it's demeaning to women, it's not the empowering choice. And we can't keep up with our careers and our lifestyle that we live every day. So whatever we can do to help support that journey and revive the American family with the right policies is so important.
D
But as that debate rages on, there's moms who choose to nurse, and we should have facilities and places for them to feel comfortable when they do. Nurse Paul.
A
I mean, from a medical perspective, we know that breast milk is so good for babies. The content of breast milk is just unmatched. You know, you have galactooligosaccharides, you have certain aminoglobulins, you have all sorts of components in the breast milk that uniquely nourish an infant's brain, microbiome, the entire body. And so this is what humans have always had is breast milk. And to be able to empower mothers and create spaces where mothers can do breastfeeding like humans really should be and hopefully can do. This is amazing. We know this food is the best food possible for humans. And just on the way over here, Secretary Kennedy and I were talking about the staggering number of microplastics in plastic baby bottles. So you think when a woman is using formula out of necessity or convenience or just out of imper. Because it's very difficult to breastfeed in some situations, the baby is being exposed to more microplastics. We know that when these plastic baby bottles are heated or if hot liquid is placed into the baby bottle, millions of microplastics per liter, millions of microplastics going into babies. Babies are actually exposed at a higher rate than adults to microplastics today. So this is, this is part of the solution. Allowing mothers to feed with a breast directly to a baby or to pump into specific containers that are hopefully not plastic. And for babies to get the unique nutrition and breast milk is amazing. This is part of how we make healthy babies and that grows up into healthy children and adults. It's a huge part of it.
B
Yeah.
C
I mean, as you said, Sean, women should have a choice to breastfeed. We want them to make that choice. If we're going to make America healthy again, we have to convince as many mothers as possible to breastfeed their babies as long as possible. Since Paul said no matter how much ingenuity scientists and research in corporate America apply to creating high quality breasts, they're never going to match what God gave us.
And we know Paul was talking about the microplastics. These plastics are not inert. They're filled with chemicals like phthalates and BPA that are known to be endocrine disruptors, meaning that they disrupt a child's sexual development. And.
The nutrients in milk are designed to build bigger brains, to build the microbiome, to build healthier bodies. The longer we can make it, the longer we can convince women to continue breastfeeding, the better it's going to be for that child. And one of the things that, you know, we have a president who is most family friendly president that we've ever had. He wants to nourish the American family. He wants our children to be healthy. He wants to make it easy for women to have as many babies as they can. And this is an experience. There's 3 million people, Americans today, going through airports. A lot of them are mothers with young infants. And we need to make it easy for them. We need to make it convenient, we need to make it pleasurable. Them to nurse that baby on those trips. Oh, I want to thank you for your commitment to it. And thank you, Isabel and Dr. Paul Saladino.
D
You know, you made a really good point. Who's better at making food for baby?
A
Corporate America or God?
D
I imagine God probably got it right.
B
Amen versus corporate America.
D
But I think it's also important. And I know sometimes we would use some formula. Rachel nursed all of our kids. But sometimes there are unique situations where that comes into play. And there's no judgment here. It's just, I think a really good point to say, you know, the best option is to have what God gave you to feed your baby, which is, I think, really important to talk about. And you're right. The president does care about making sure we support families. We want people to have kids, have families. It's one of the most joyous things you do in your life. Will you do me a favor? So as you're traveling through airports.
B
Yeah.
D
Right. And this is Christmas time, right?
B
Traveling a lot this month. Yeah.
D
You could do a naughty and nice list. Oh, what naughty airports are there? And what nice airports. Love this, mother. Send them over and we can then focus on those airports.
B
I got a good homework assignment. I will be working on that this month.
D
Well, listen, thank you guys for being part of this. And we're going to do our part@dot. We're going to send out resource dollars to airports to make sure we have additional and better facilities for moms who choose to nurse to do that safely and cleanly in American airports as they travel throughout the airspace.
B
So thank you.
D
Thank you, thank you so much.
A
Well done, Department of Transportation.
B
Amen and hhs. We love it.
A
Well done, well done.
B
Perfect.
D
Yay.
B
Did I hear a scream?
This is all new. I know. Since we last talked.
A
This is like a healthy baby. This is so cool because it's like she's so bright eyed, you know, like it's a bright eyed child and she's so calm.
B
She's a very easy baby. I have been truly blessed.
A
Honestly, I've got to think that this has to do with how well mom eats. And like the fact that I try, I try. Like this is so.
B
I have a little Dr. Paul Saladin on the back of my head. Should you eat that? Always, actually.
A
It's just so cool. I mean, I hope that I get to have kids at some point soon.
B
And this is like, it is truly magical.
A
Beautiful child. And just she's so interactive and bright and just calm.
B
Are you smiling? Is that a nice compliment?
A
That's well Done, mom.
B
Thank you.
A
That's well done.
B
As I mentioned, there's so much more to this project than just supporting breastfeeding moms and having clean and safe nursing spaces in our airports. There are initiatives to have more playgrounds so that kids can burn off their energy before flights. Healthier food options at farmers fridge locations across the country. Heck, even installing some small workout equipment like pull up bars so that people can constantly keep their bodies moving instead of being so sedentary. I am obsessed with this and this is truly what it looks like from a holistic perspective to make America healthy again. I just one of several people that were invited to participate today. We have the CEO of Farmer's Fridge and our friend Dr. Paul Saladino here too. Beautiful baby. Thank you. She was so good. She is a good girl. Hi.
D
She.
B
She gets parted around a lot so she likes being out and about and meeting people. Such a beautiful. Can you say hi?
Look at you. So adorable. Say thank you, Isla.
I love it. I'm like looking at her gave me baby fever. Oh good. That's what it's all about, right? That's what it's all about. As we are working to make airports so much healthier and more accessible for our families. I love that I'm seeing a proactive approach from people in government making sure that we are doing everything we can upfront to make our health the priority. And that's something that has hit me so much harder. After becoming a mom, I have realized that every decision I make about my health isn't just about me anymore. I. It's about the future showing up for Isla, my daughter being present for all of her milestones and having the energy to keep up with her for decades to come. Which is a totally different kind of motivation. But here's the problem. Our healthcare system generally is built to be reactive. You wait until something is wrong and then you try to fix it. So when you want to take a proactive approach, it can be really hard to know where to even start. That is exactly why we have been partnering on the show with Jevity, which makes proactive health so much easier than ever. Jevoty offers different membership tiers so that you can choose what fits your needs. You get comprehensive at home blood draws, testing over 100 different health markers way beyond what your standard checkup would ever cover. Then personalized health plans with custom supplement protocols, access to functional longevity specialists for ongoing guidance, plus discounts on supplements and specialty testing. After all of that, Jevy is Now available in 47 states across the country. So if you are ready to be there for the people that you love, and not just today, but for decades to come, you guys can use code. Isabelle at the link in today's show, notes for 20% off because investing in your health now means so much more time with the people that matter the most. They say these are the days you miss a whole lot. We have a lot of sleepless nights and lots going on all the time, but it is magic. It really is. And before long, it was time for all of us to address the media at a press conference, encouraging Americans from all walks of life to give us their feedback on what they want to see in airports. To make everything more family friendly.
D
I want to thank everyone for coming today. I'm here with Secretary Kennedy, content creator Paul Saladino, content creator Isabel Brown. And so I want to turn it over to Isabelle Brown to talk about her experience and maybe what we can do to improve the facilities for nursing mothers.
B
Absolutely. Thank you, Secretary Duffy, Secretary Kennedy, and the entire Trump administration for your leadership on this and this opportunity as a young woman to express the utmost importance of our ability to serve our children. In all my years of science education, I don't think we have yet figured out a way for men to breastfeed. So thank you for having a young woman's voice here. In many ways, as I have traveled the country day in and day out as a content creator, author and speaker on college campuses nationwide, I've come to discover over the past few years that our culture has often developed a disdain for young mothers and our babies traveling. But the very nature of our very interconnected culture demands travel for young families every single day in America. It can be incredibly disheartening to see the rolled eyes and visible annoyance and anguish when we sit down with our babies on an airplane seat. But that pales in comparison to the jarring lack of support that many airports across the country provide for breastfeeding moms and baby friendly spaces. The law does technically require every airport terminal to have a nursing room, but the context of the law says nothing about whether that space is clean, clearly marked, or actually monitored and maintained. So I've often found myself stranded in airports across the country trying to nurse my child when I'm on the go, or trying to pump and take it home with me safely, and seeing that outlets don't work, that there's no sink provided, the lights don't turn on, the door doesn't lock, and more often than not find myself resorting to an experience that I would much rather have avoided in the first place. And broader data tells us that the environment nationally is just not working for breastfeeding moms when they are on the go. A national survey from this year of more than 3,000 breastfeeding moms found that 55% of us do not feel supported in public places across our country like airports, and 81% have resorted to pumping or feeding in their car. Myself and many, many, many of my friends have, as a result, found ourselves feeding our babies or trying to pump while sitting uncomfortably in a noisy, messy bathroom stall. When moms feel uncomfortable in airports, we're not just imagining it. It's the infrastructure that is still patchy, it's inconsistent, and it's not designed with real families in mind. This leadership that we're seeing from Secretary Duffy, Secretary Kennedy, and of course, President Trump speaks volumes about our desire to revive the American family today and encourage young women to embrace the beauty of motherhood. I find no coincidence that as our public spaces often fail to accommodate for young moms and our beautiful children day in and day out, we're often seeing the lowest fertility rates that we've ever seen in the last few years in American history. As we work to rebuild a culture that supports the entire parenting experience and encouraging young people to embrace the single most important vocation we possibly can experience in bringing new life into this world, we also must embrace the sacred responsibility to help moms feed our babies. I'm so excited about this Make America Make Travel Family Friendly Again initiative and the leadership that we're seeing from Secretary Duffy, Secretary Kennedy, and, and President Trump in just that. And can't wait to see the American family continue to thrive. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you.
D
I was talking to one of the staffers at the White House.
B
It was so insanely cool to be able to talk about my family in this incredibly important press conference yesterday. And as we're spending more time with our families around the holidays, you may be asking yourself, what is the perfect possible gift that I could be giving to my loved ones this year? I am so excited to tell you this. That olive oil makes the perfect gift. Seriously, way better than another pair of socks stuffed in somebody's stocking somewhere. Grazza is my go to for holiday shopping this year because their olive oil is incredibly fresh. You can even see the harvest date right on the bottle, which is such a thoughtful detail. They make gifting so easy this year with ready to go sets like their new dinner party pack, which includes a limited edition bottle of wine, cooking and finishing oils, a custom Corkscrew and extra virgin olive oil potato chips. Basically a complete dinner party in a box. They also have their classic duo gift sets with sizzle and drizzle oils available in squeeze bottles or in glass. This year, the best gift for the home cook in your life, whether that's yourself, your spouse or a loved one, is Graza. It has made our cooking so much better in our family's household. The bottles look beautiful on my kitchen counter and the taste is truly unmatched compared with virtually any other olive oil that we cook with day in and day out. You guys can get 10 off your first order on their site and I personally recommend that new dinner party pack or the duo gift set for holiday gifting this year. Now available in glass bottles too. Head to Grazza co Isabel and use code isabelle to get 10 off your order and get cooking this holiday season with some fresh, delicious olive oil. After the press conference was over, my literal favorite part of the day ended up happening. Dr. Saladino led the charge, but Dr. Paul Saladino, Secretary Kennedy and Secretary Duffy all had to take their turn at the pull up bar to show off for the media what Maha really looks like in real time.
D
If you're a content creator, that's one thing, but also healthy human services. This is what they do. Like they just do pull ups. Noon tonight, right Dot we know.
I can do like five. Do you worry about people getting smelly in airports? So that's a great question. Smell like we talked about that. I don't, I don't want you to have a full body sweat going on so you sting. But if you do, you know, do a few pull ups, you know, get your, your blood flowing, I think that's positive. So again, I'm not, this is not like go to the gym, sweat and then get on an airplane. And people are usually moving through, they see a pull up bar, they'll, I'll crank a couple pull ups.
A
Even micro workouts are beneficial for humans. Physiologically. 2 to 3 minutes, 3 to 4 minutes. This can totally interrupt the inflammatory process. I think the goal that we're thinking about is mini gyms. 3 to 5, 10 to 15 minute workouts, we don't need people to get sweaty. Can have a very positive health impact and a very positive mental impact with less than 15 minutes, which is the beauty of this. And more people circulate through, more people get sweat music. Taking his shoes off.
D
Trying to get, take all the weight off.
Reduce the weight. Yeah, it's good.
A
Yeah.
D
Hey.
B
Secretary Duffy's daughter Paloma, who I absolutely love. Even ended up beating her dad at the number of pull ups that she could do at the airport. And this seems like such a silly, ridiculous thing to be incorporating into a press conference. But honestly, I think is really important. This is the first time in my entire lifetime that when I look at the presidential cabinet, I see people who take care of themselves, who are exercising, who are eating healthy food, who have the capacity to do a pull up even in a suit, which is incredible to see. And knowing that our leadership takes autonomy over their lives and responsibility over their health so seriously makes me feel so much more confident about their ability to lead our country successfully too. But it's also just super fun, right? When was the last time you saw the Secretary of Transportation and the Secretary of Health and Human Services doing pull ups at an airport press conference? I love this timeline. Incredible. They've got pastas, salad. That salad looks really good. They've got like an Asian noodle dish, sandwiches, nuts, love. I always feel like I have to pick the worst food in the airport too, like all the time. And then I feel like crap. So then I just don't eat. But I have to eat because I'm breastfeeding my daughter. So there you go. Usually I'm traveling on the first flight of the day, so I try to get breakfast food, but even breakfast food you end up having to do like pastries or bread. And I just feel gross all day long. Every once in a while I'll find like a breakfast burrito option, but it's never that good. Never that good. Oh, this is fancy.
Wow, this is awesome. It tells you the calories, how many grams of protein, how many carbs, how much fiber. This is really cool.
And they have some that they'll tell you can be stocked otherwise, but it's just not stocked today. There you go. Breakfast. I was just talking about that. You can do a chia pudding. They have Greek yogurts, breakfast bowls. That's awesome. Very cool. See the planes? It feels unnatural to be at an airport and not getting on a plane to go somewhere. You know what I mean? Where do you think they're all going? Where do you think that guy's going in the blue shirt or that guy in the hat?
She works for an airline, clearly. I like his red sneakers.
Down at that end. They were selling T shirts of your Uncle Charlie, but I don't know if they still are. Back to how we are making airports more family friendly in a second and especially touching on how much healthier we desperately need to be eating I am so grateful for our friends at Good Ranchers trying to lead the way in reviving health for the American family around our dinner table again. Especially when it's so easy to cheat and eat really unhealthy food around the holiday season. We all know the drill with the holidays. You spend hours and hours finding gifts that will probably end up in a drawer or re gifted next year. But there is such a better idea out there. Sending your loved ones a good rancher's gift box instead of it is not just a box of 100% American raised meat. It's a reason to have all of your loved ones come over for dinner and to spend quality time with the people that matter the most to you. Our family has really prioritized spending time around the family dinner table this holiday season. At least once a week we are setting everything aside to gather together around the table to talk about what's going on in our lives, to build special family memories and to share all of that over a healthy American made meal. It has totally revived our sense of connection and prioritizing the things that matter the most around the holidays. Not stuff, but love and putting the people that we love first. With Good Ranchers, your cuts come pre portioned and hand cut by master butchers, meaning that you spend so much less time prepping and a lot more time sitting down with the people that you love. You can send a physical gift box directly to someone's doorstep or send an e gift that lets them pick their delivery date that works for them. It is totally simple and customizable. We love Good Ranchers. I can never say it enough. In our house, we never buy meat from the grocery store anymore because the taste is completely unmatched when it comes to quality meat. And it just feels amazing knowing that you know exactly where your meat in the freezer came from, that it came from a real American ranching family, and that you can support the American agriculture industry instead of, I don't know, lab grown meat or 3D printed crap that you may be seeing in the grocery store or something from overseas. So this holiday season you can give so much more than just a gift. Give someone a reason to get back to the table with your family and friends. Head to goodranchers.com and use my code ISABELLE for $40 off your first order. Plus when you subscribe, you'll get free premium cuts like chicken thighs, wagyu burgers or bacon. My favorite bacon is from Good Ranchers by the way. In every order that you place for life. That is goodranchers.com code Isabelle for $40 off plus free meat for life. Goodranchers.com let's all get back to the table. We are here at Washington Reagan National Airport with Secretary Duffy to announce a very exciting initiative with a special guest, my sweet daughter, who will have a meltdown if we put her down right now.
D
No, no, no. See, listen, we're getting our baby fixed, Isabel.
B
Amen. Amen.
D
I love that you're flying through airports. Rachel, my wife, did the same thing. A ton of travel with babies, and you're doing it right now with your beautiful daughter.
B
Thank you. Thank you.
D
She's awesome.
B
We are. We're sometimes in three, four airports a week, and I'm still breastfeeding my d. She just turned seven months old. Can you tell us a little bit about this initiative to make travel better for American families?
D
100%, and I'll do that if Paloma.
B
Wants to come here and grab sweet Isla. Come here. We can hand you off to you, the beautiful Ms. Paloma, to go have some fun. Okay, So.
D
I think that a lot of people complain about the travel experience. So I'm thinking about what can I do as the Secretary of DOT to make the experience that much better? And so I first asked people, maybe you can be better when you come to the airport. Say, please, say thank you, help people out, maybe wear something that's a little more respectable when you come to the airport. And then the feedback I got from that was travelers were saying, well, okay, that's for us, but what are you going to do? What are the airlines going to do? So today we announced a billion dollars of funding for airports to apply for to. There's no rules around the money, but we thought about maybe we have nursing pods, right, for moms who are nursing. Traveling through the airport and nursing pods that work and nursing pods that are actually clean. Huge. Because that's one of the complaints I've heard from a lot of people is they don't work and they're not clean. So more nursing pods or nursing rooms, some workout areas. So if someone wants to do a little. I don't feel a little sweat and stink, but I do want people. If you want to do a little workout, you can move, and we got a space for that. And I want more play areas for kids. I don't know if you see this. A lot of kids are on iPads and cell phones everywhere we go. If we could get kids to burn some energy at the airport, I think that would be helpful. And then the sky's the limit. What else do you know? Do airports think that they could propose to us that we would say yes to? I don't have tsa. That's at Homeland Security. But I do think we need better family lanes at tsa and so we can help airports fund those lanes in conjunction with the money that TSA has. So we're doing our part. I'm trying to make the airport experience better. I'm making air travel better by building a brand new air traffic control system. And then I've asked CEOs of airlines to do their part. And I think they're going to come up with ideas of what they're going to do to make the experience better for the traveler as they get on an airplane.
B
You know, probably.
D
That was a really long answer, wasn't it?
B
That's beautiful, though. You know, probably better than anyone as a dad of nine kids that this administration is so committed to reviving the family. And we see it in our family at the White House. We're seeing it with so many initiatives from hhs. With really exciting new news over the last couple of weeks. Can you tell us just about that culture in the Cabinet? What's that like as a dad and as a secretary in the United States Cabinet?
D
So, first off, President Trump loves kids. I brought my family into the Oval multiple times, and he couldn't be more generous. My little Valentina, who has downs, so kind to her. But, you know, Papa Kennedy has seven kids. Pete Hegseth has seven kids. Kristi Noem has three kids.
B
Quite a few.
D
Everyone has kids in the Cabinet. And so this culture is not something we have to think about. It's part of our everyday lives. And thinking about policies that make it easier and better for families, I think. And you hear this debate, what should we do with our lives? Should I dedicate my life to my company? Should my company be my life? And if you look at what makes people happy, what gives people joy, it's their family, right? It's their kids, it's their spouse. I always think about what happens near the end of life. Is it about the job that you had, the company you worked for, the bill that you passed? No, it's about the people you love the most, which are the kids that you've raised, the wife that you've spent or husband you've spent your time with. And so I think celebrating families is important. And when you celebrate something, I think people see that celebration and they may want to do it, too. And I think in the end, they're going to be Happier and more joyful.
B
Absolutely. In our last couple of minutes together, can you just tell our audience how people can help with this initiative? How can they encourage their airport to be applying for this funding? What should people be asking for, et cetera?
D
So I don't own airports at dot. Right. We actually.
B
Shocking, I know.
D
Shocking. We do have DCA in Dulles, which we're going to improve. Dallas, the president's working on that. But for your local airport, tell them to reach out to us. Say, listen, if you have some ideas on what you think your airport needs and should get money for, send that to us. Have them have. Encourage them to engage with us to get part of this $1 billion to improve your airport. So. And by the way, the best ideas don't come from me. They come from people who, you know, use the airspace and travel through airports. I told you earlier, as you travel a lot, there are good airports and bad airports for nursing. Give me a naughty and a nice list for.
The airports that you think are good and bad. It's feedback that makes it better.
B
Absolutely. Well, it's extra personal for me as your daughter holds my beautiful daughter. So we'll wrap everything up. But I truly do want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. As young parents, it means the world to know that there are so many people who value the family and who are trying to rebuild that as the cornerstone of American society. Again in our cabinet right now in the executive branch. And just to know that our culture has people leading the way on that means the world.
D
Thank you for bringing your daughter today and celebrating family, celebrating life, and helping us get the message out for more people to come in and partake in what is going to be an experiment in making air travel great again.
B
Amen. Amen to that.

This episode of The Isabel Brown Show takes listeners behind the scenes at Washington Reagan National Airport, where Isabel joins Secretary Sean Duffy, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Dr. Paul Saladino to unveil a major new initiative: “Make Travel Family Friendly Again.” The episode is a candid, energetic look at real experiences—especially for young families and breastfeeding mothers—navigating America’s airports, as well as a broader discussion on reviving American family life via forward-thinking policy and infrastructure.
Isabel, a new mom herself, brings authenticity to the work behind the scenes, sharing her family’s travel struggles and participating in an airport press conference.
