Paid for by the alliance for Secure AI Today we are headed back to the White House for this year's Women's History Month event with the President and First lady as they also celebrate National Working Moms Day, which let me tell you feels wildly personal. This year we will be watching President Trump sign an official Presidential Proclamation honoring Women's History Month and I'm already really blown away how much they are focusing on moms. It seems like this is part of a larger priority from the administration to revive the American family, which is a very beautiful change of base when everything in our culture seems to be screaming at you to never want to be a mom. I was at the Women's History Month event last year at the White House and I was like eight, almost nine months pregnant. It was a beautiful spring day. We actually went through the East Wing as normal for these events back then Rip but I remember being joined by so many of my friends. It was a jam packed event with almost every woman working in Washington and it was a really special time to hear from the Trump administration about exactly what they plan to do to support especially this next generation of young women and young moms in particular. This year it's extra special because my daughter is not in my tummy. She got her own invite to go see the President speak today and we can't wait to bring you guys along with us. I am having to get ready with a baby on my chest this morning cuz somebody will not take her nap. That's just where we're at. Also one of those mornings I am still in my pajamas at like 9am cuz I woke up at and immediately started researching for the show. So one of those dates. You ever wondered working mom life. This is it. This is what it looks like. Rumor has it we may be seeing our friends Auntie Riley and baby Margot today. I am also giving a speech tonight to congressional staffers at a Heritage foundation event a couple hours away. So this may all need a touch up before we actually make it to that. That'll be fun. The logistics of our life right now are like, low key, insane. Dad's gonna be at the White House all day. Isla girl and I are going to this working mom's event at the White House and Isla's coming home with our very sweet, awesome nanny. While I drive two hours away to give a 10 minute speech and a 15 minute Q&A and then drive two hours back while daddy picks up lay baby. Can you just like go to sleep? Is that an option? You're rubbing your eyes. Just go back to bed. No. What are you doing this morning? Are you camera shy? It is a super rainy spring day today, which is a bummer because Yesterday it was 85 degrees and sunny. What's so funny about that? So outfit choices today are going to be interesting, especially because we have to walk outside quite a bit in order to get into security for the White House. I've been renting quite a bit of clothes on Rent the Runway lately because I'm still kind of between sizes this first year after having a kid, but I think we might have a few that can do the trick. This dress might be kind of cute, although maybe too summery. This dress might be perfect, but it's really thin, this dress. I think we might have a winner. That screams working mom, doesn't it? I have to go record the episode for today and figure out how to do my hair while this kid refuses to sleep. So we'll be right back. We gotta go or we're gonna be late. And randomly. It just started snowing, so that's great.
C
Why?
B
I don't know. It was 85 degrees yesterday. We also just appreciate Isla's outfit. You ready, squirt?
C
Let's go.
B
We were gonna take the train over this morning, but decided against that when it started snowing out of nowhere. Instead, we drove over there and I got to enjoy Baby ASMR the whole time. Just like that, we were back at the White House and in the state dining room, one of my favorite rooms in the whole of the White House. And I realized it was time for Isla's lunch. So we Headed over to the smorgasbord of amazing delicacies for her snack, which today happened to be unbelievably good Michelin worthy food. And I'm trying to be better about every time I'm in here starting to notice more of the little details of the White House. I never take the time to like look at the plaques on the wall or the etchings on the fireplace mantel. And today took Isla over to do that, which was so special. She of course had her own commentary to provide too. And then we had some snacks and linked up with some of our favorite people. Hi. We gotta get another one of these. Were these really good? Were these yummy? That's good stuff. Dad and some of his co workers walked over from their office and got to spend some special time with Isla. And then we bumped into another one of our favorite people in Washington, Congresswoman Kat Kamik and her beautiful daughter. And this was the cutest moment of my life. I'm dying. Let's be friends. You want to be friends? Be buddies. Very few other people in D.C. bring their babies everywhere. And I have to say I respect Congresswoman Kamek for this so much. Not to mention it's the cutest friggin thing you've ever seen. Like this is baby fever 101 people. And I'm really hopeful that for the midterm elections, more young families start to run for office. I think I see someone else vlogging. Oh no. The war of the Vlog. I'll make sure not to get her face. That's hilarious. I think POTUS is about to be here. Is he on his way? We don't like that. In between all of my trips to the White House lately, I've decided to start taking up grandma hobbies. And you guys are suggesting some really good ones. Apparently this is like a trend among Gen Z. Grandma hobbies have made their comeback. I am yet to get into needlepoint, but I am trying to get a bit more of a green thumb because I'm killing virtually every plant I've ever brought into our home. But we live in the city. We don't have a lot of green space. We don't have a lot of extra space for gardening tools. Which is why I'm so grateful I found pocket hose. Growing up, when we used to garden or play with the hose, we always used to bend it so much that we would break it in about five seconds. That is no longer a problem. And I'm so grateful for it. Especially with an almost toddler at home. The head can move a full 360 degrees to make it so easy to water whatever you need to. And when you're done moving around your garden wherever you need to go, watering everything you're need to, this thing shrinks back down to a pocket size because it is so flexible and easy to store in tiny places which we really need here in the Washington D.C. area. Plus it's rust proof and anti burst. Super easy to use, super easy to store which really means a lot if you're renting your house or you're just in a starter house and you don't have a lot of space. It is so tough. It's so lightweight. I have loved using this thing as we have begun our Gardening Grandma Hobbies journey and it even comes with a 10 year warranty in case something goes wrong. The pocket hose has been a total game changer for me and my family For a limited time, listeners for the Isabelle Brow can with any size of their hoses get a free pocket pivot and a 10 pattern sprayer. Check out the link in our description for more Unlike last year's Women's History Month event, which was standing room only and absolutely packed in the East Room today things were a little calmer but still very exciting as the press pool came and packed the room. All of the seats were taken by VIP guests and members of Congress and the administration. And all of us eagerly anticipated the arrival of the President and First lady, including Isla, who desperately needed to go down for a nap, but was fighting that at every possible turn. I don't know what could possibly be more National Working Mom's Day than this. Me having to sit there and rock my baby at the back of the room while we waited for potus. Literally, what is my life right now? Honestly? Ladies and gentlemen, the president of the

united states, donald j. Trump, and first lady melania trump.

Today might have actually been one of my favorite speeches I've ever seen the President and the first lady give, talking about the importance of moms and just women's contributions to American history and the unique role that we play in reviving the family. It felt extra special hearing them talk about this while I was holding my daughter. Listening to the President of the United States articulate the importance of moms just chills all around.

It is wonderful to see here in the White House so many incredible women this afternoon. The strength of America is closely tied to the role women play in shaping their children's character, education and morals. The values cultivated within our communities shape the voice and vision of our next generation. A woman's influence strengthens our democracy, capital markets and time tested business institution. Across the country today, women are finding unique ways to balance career, ambition and family. We all know these incredible women. They dominate America's workforce now more than ever before. All of the young women entrepreneurs and future leaders. Make time for yourself. Educate yourself daily and spread your passion. Be courageous and take risks. Advance your profession through inspiration. Be a bold chief executive while keeping your family if you choose. So at the center of your nation's

future, we're honored to be joined by many extraordinary ladies, working moms, and amazing women who are making history themselves. You really are. In 1776, America has been strengthened beyond measure by the courage, by the spirit, love, devotion and the incredible woman. I mean, all of these incredible women who have served our nation, uplifted our communities, pioneered new industries, and been the heart and soul of the American family. And they are the heart and soul. From Martha Washington to Betsy Ross, from Clara Barton to Amelia Earhart and Rosa Parks to Aretha Franklin, American women have propelled us to even greater heights. And now the Trump administration is working every single day to make America better, safer and more prosperous for women and men, but much more importantly for women. And they are really the inspiration. They are so, so powerful and so important and so beautiful. I'm not allowed to use the word beautiful, but I'm using it anyway. Usually it's the end of your political career if you say a woman's a beautiful woman. They say that's the termination of his career. But somehow it hasn't hurt too much.

And as you heard, that's when things began to go terribly wrong. Normally, my daughter is very well behaved in public. She ended up screaming during the middle of the President of the United States speaking. It was so embarrassing. So I immediately ran out with her into the hallway and my daughter had to be put in a little mini timeout with Secret Service and myself, which will forever be one of my favorite memories. I think in Washington, nothing symbolizes National Working Moms Day more than that. While we were listening from the hallway, the President invited some other working moms up on stage with him to share their experience of how the administration policies has benefited their families and what they're doing to fight for other working moms. It was incredible to listen to, albeit through a doorway in a hall. And we weren't the only people with a melting down child. So, in fairness, it was kind of a universal experience. Just like that, it was time to head back out and count the seconds until the next White House event we'll both be invited to as mom and daughter. Well, after all that, there's not a cloud in the sky as soon as we come outside. Insane. Did we have to hide in the hallway for a solid 30 minutes while my daughter had a meltdown whilst the President was speaking? Yes, but how many babies get to say they were in timeout in the White House? Not many. Isla. Are you going to live in there someday? Isla for President and Supreme Leader of the Universe, of course. Had to stop by Dad's office building and wave goodbye to him for the rest of his very busy work day.
A
Wave.
C
Hi, Daddy.
B
Do me a favor, you guys. I never, ever, ever left me think that this is normal. Okay. I realize I get to come here, like, once a week. I get to bring my baby to all of these events and all these amazing holidays and commemorations and celebrations. Hold me accountable. Never let me feel like this is normal. Huge thank you to the President, first lady, and entire White House staff for having us back at the White House today. We promise next time, no more meltdowns. We hope.
