Puretalk.com Shapiro Corrupt politicians are now trying to use the law and weaponize it against journalists to impede on our first Amendment right as a form of censoring corruption that is happening at the state level, the local level.

Other and this is why it's more important than ever that OLA of us push back against this and highlight what's going on. What the left wing does time and time again is if they can't censor you online, then they'll try to censor you in real life.
Isabelle Brown
If you're not as chronically online as I am, you may not be familiar with the story of my friend Savannah Hernandez being completely violently assaulted at an anti ice protest in Minneapolis just last week.
Savannah Hernandez
Get away from me.
Isabelle Brown
Savannah and I have been friends for years, working together for a very long time at Turning Point USA under the mentorship of our friend Charlie Kirk. And she is truly the gold standard for independent journalism for what it looks like for someone to just go out on the streets and document everything the mainstream media is refusing to cover outright. She's covered and antifa events. She's covered women's marches and the march for life. She's done a whole lot of work related to immigration and the border and just A few days ago decided to travel to Minneapolis for the first time since everything has happened related to all of the anti ICE stuff we've seen over the past few months to cover a supposedly peaceful anti ICE rally happening in the city outside of an ICE facility. She wasn't there long before she began to be violently assaulted by a husband and wife and their daughter. And the violent leftist mob decided to come at her, threatening her very life after someone recognized her as having worked for Turning Point USA and being associated with Charlie Kirk. I think for all of us who know and love Charlie and who worked for Turning Point for a significant amount of time or even just loosely have been associated with Charlie in the conservative movement, this is a powerful reminder that since September 10th, we all have to ask ourselves when we do speaking engagements or we cover these protests, when we're making content or having a debate on a college campus, there is a very real gut reality check that you may be putting your life on the line for doing it. And for the vast majority of us, we've made peace with that understanding that this life is temporary. And ultimately our call to action is to make this world a little bit more like the next one in whatever way we can. Not to cower in fear in the face of evil, but to embrace radical God given courage in the face of it instead. And nobody embodies that better than Savannah Hernandez. But as this happened to her in Minneapolis just a few days before a now third assassination attempt against the President of the United States at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it has a lot of people asking, is there going to be any justice for victims of left wing violence? What does holding these people to justice actually look like? And why is the mainstream media refusing to cover it? If you hadn't had a chance yet to see Savannah's frontlines reporting on what truly happened to her. Here's just a second of it.
Savannah Hernandez
Leave me. I'm trying to leave.
Isabelle Brown
Just go though. Look, we're trying to get you out of here.
Savannah Hernandez
Time to leave.
Isabelle Brown
Let's go.
Savannah Hernandez
Let's get you out of here. Let's go.
Isabelle Brown
Where are you going? Where do you need to go?
Savannah Hernandez
I don't have a car here. Where do you want me to go? Derek, can we get her somewhere?
Isabelle Brown
We try to help you though, like we helped.
Ryan Reynolds
No, you didn't.
Isabelle Brown
Yes, we did. We stopped people from hitting you because you were.
Savannah Hernandez
I was standing here for an hour.
Isabelle Brown
We didn't help you.
Savannah Hernandez
You would have been attacking me, started attacking me.
Isabelle Brown
We told them to stop. I didn't do Anything. You're, like, trying to play victim so
Savannah Hernandez
hard when we were okay, so I have all this on camera, and you push people, and because we're Minneapolis, you can't press charges against any of these people either. Anyway. So. Yeah, there we go. There we go, guys. There we go. Minneapolis. Incredible. What am I going to do?
Isabelle Brown
Look at you trying to play the victim. Seriously, after we shove you down, we try to destroy your equipment, we scream profanities in your face, including like, we're going to kill you. Look at you trying to play the victim. It's getting increasingly difficult to watch this stuff just knowing the general climate of where our country is at right now. But when I saw all of this, I immediately whipped out my phone and I texted my friend Savannah, making sure that she was okay. By the grace of God, she was. And it took from the 11th, I think, is when she posted this all the way until this week for indictments to even happen, but they have, and to give us an update on where we can expect this to move forward and how we can hold these people accountable for their violent behavior. Savannah Hernandez is joining us today on the show. Savannah, my beautiful friend joins us on the show right now. Savannah, I met you years ago working for Turning Point usa, both of us at the time. And it has just been a huge privilege to watch your impact and your voice continue to grow and change and shape our culture in all of the best ways. It was not so much of a privilege as your friend to see the video footage of every everything that happened the last couple of weeks. And I remember just instantly picking up my phone the second I saw it and texting you to make sure that everything was okay. We've been in close contact over the last few weeks, but for those who may not be intimately familiar with what happened and really where the case stands today, can you walk us through what happened to you?
Savannah Hernandez
Sure. So basically, I went to the Whipple Ice facility, which has been a big point of contention in Minneapolis. You know, as we know, there have been a lot of ice raids in that area. And so there have been protests, protests, protests. Now I was there to cover the f I stay. Okay, so that's the toned down version of what this protest was called. And I was there basically to do observational point and shoot journalism. I've been monitoring what's been happening in Minneapolis. I actually wanted to go cover it, but it was a very dangerous situation for quite a few months. And so I kind of waited until there was a more relaxed protest at noon on a Saturday where I figured I would be safe. Now, I went to this protest by myself, and I was there to conduct point and shoot, observational journalism. I was not there to interview anybody. And at no point point was I even trying to engage anybody. But William Scott Kelly, the same protester who was previously arrested for shutting down a church service in Minneapolis, resulting in children crying out in fear because these protesters were screaming in their faces as they were trying to worship God on a Sunday. He ended up identifying me. He walked up to me as I was standing by myself. He started screaming at me, identified me as a reporter who works for Turning Point usa and basically started screaming until a mob formed. Now, at this point, you had three individuals, Chris Paige and Diana Ashrushko, who were being extremely aggressive and violent with me. Diana and Chris were the first people to start shoving me and putting their hands on me. At that point, I was trying to diffuse the situation and just say, hey, like, I wasn't even here to interview anybody. You know, like, everyone calm down. Why is this important to you? Like, just trying to, again, calm them down by asking what their concerns were, why they were there, Right. Why this was important to them. It did not matter. They were upset at my presence. Paige, as Rushko, the daughter in this situation, told me that I needed to get the f out out. Being off of the public sidewalk in front of the Whipple ICE facility. Wow. And then basically, Chris was caught on camera instructing his daughter to go blow a whistle in my ear. She came up to me, she's blowing a whistle in my ear. Diana, her mother, is swinging sex toys in my face because that was their object of protest. So they were swinging sex toys in my face. I had multiple other protesters hitting me with them. Paige comes up to me, starts blowing a whistle in my ear. I had gone off to the side in. A police officer would see what was happening and would come and step in. There were no police around at that point, so I realized I'm just going to have to walk out of this mob myself. A lot of people ask, okay, well, why didn't you just leave? Well, typically, if you're in the middle of a mob of people who hate you and clearly want to hurt you, you don't want to try to walk through them, because one touch equals assault in their eyes, and they're going to start swinging, which is essentially what happened. I was trying to walk out. Paige was pressed up against me as tightly as she could be. And basically, as I was trying to leave, she then decided to slam me on ground I put my arm out to further diffuse the situation. She swung again. I got up to continue trying to leave. Her mother then came up behind me and said that I was hitting her daughter and tried to attack me. I'm still trying to leave. The father, Chris Ashko, then comes up behind me as I am turned away from him and he slams me to the ground. And then the first thing I see when I pop back up is Paige back in my face. At that point I was like, okay, I'm trying to leave. These people won't let me. I have to defend myself. That was the only point. At that point, I Isabelle like I'd already been assaulted multiple times. Of course they were already harassing me. They were already threatening me. And this had been going on for quite a while because again, prior to me even trying to walk out of this mob, they were already harassing me and threatening me and being very, very aggressive. And so that was the one time I defended myself. And then because I tried to defend myself, Diana and Paige decided to tackle me to the ground. They broke my glasses. At that point, the police finally showed up. They ended up having to escort me away from the scene. Dian later on camera caught admitting to tackling me and laughing with another protester stating that she ran away before the police could get her. Paige was arrested that day. Her boyfriend obstructed the police who were trying to arrest Paige for the assault. He was arrested as well. Both have of course since been let out. And regarding the state level and the state response to this, despite millions of people watching this footage, despite even left wing protesters who hate me, Isabel stating we hate Savannah and Turning Point usa but she was not there doing anything and she was assaulted for no reason. Despite all of that, the Hennepin County DA has decided to only press misdemeanor charges against the father, Chris, stating that they do not have sufficient evidence and are declining to bring charges against Diana or Paige. However, sorry to go on on this long tangent.
Isabelle Brown
No, this is so helpful.
Savannah Hernandez
However, the positive lining on this is that the FBI and DOJ came in very swiftly and effectively and they have made sure that justice was served. And just yesterday or just Wednesday, all three of them were indicted on felony charges. This was brought before a federal grand jury who did find probable cause to charge all three of them.

Well, of course a grand jury would find probable cause because you take one look at this video and viscerally, instantly you know something is wrong. Before any arms start getting swung, before they shove you to the ground. There's something very, very dark and sinister about this footage that you shared. And I can only imagine how difficult it was emotionally for you walking through all of that, especially given all of us and our emotional state for the last eight months or so. With the death and assassination of our friend Charlie. This amazingly happened just a few days before a third now, at least as the public knows it, assassination attempt against the President of the United States at the White House Correspondents Dinner. And I'm curious to just get your thoughts. I wasn't at the correspondence dinner. I was supposed to go. Um. I certainly haven't had many run ins with antifa on the street like this as much as you have. I had one antifa FIFA infiltrated event on a college campus that was incredibly scary, but we pulled out on the other end of it. You go into these situations all the time and this certainly has reached a new peak with these people physically assaulting you. What is the temperature on the ground? Knowing the swirling external environment of the normalization of political violence and do you expect that this will continue to escalate and perpetrate into this next few months and years?
Savannah Hernandez
Well, I will say that the FBI acting so swiftly on this has set a very important precedent because for almost the last decade the radical left wing antifa types have been allowed to brutalize and assault and attack Americans. I mean, I remember being in Washington D.C. in 2020 for the million Mag March and I remember seeing moms targeted and attacked, had their hair ripped out from behind because they were waving an American flag. I remember seeing families getting mobbed by these huge groups of Black Lives Matter and the police just saying, sorry, there' there's nothing that we can do. I remember watching these children crying in fear because their parents were being surrounded by a mob at our nation's capital. So this has been happening for a long time and I'm so grateful that the FBI and doj, you know, set this precedent because for a long time the left wing has been allowed to get away with this type of violence. I was also at the Antifa round table with President Trump and his administration last October in which we talked about, you know, not only Antifa, but also just these very radicalized NGOs and left wing factions in the United States of America that truly think it's okay to attack and even kill their political opposition, as we saw with Charlie Kirk. Now it was unfortunate because after Charlie's assassination I had. This is the third time, Isabelle, that I have been conducting point and shoot journalism, have been trying to bring as little attention to myself as possible and somebody has come up to me and found out I work for Turning Point USA and has made a point to get in my face case, say that Charlie deserved it, say some profanities against Turning Point USA and this time it got violent. So the left wing violence absolutely has been ramping up since Charlie's assassination. But I really do hope this sends a strong message to the left wing that you can't hide in liberal jurisdictions anymore with a slap on the wrist if you brutally assault somebody, that the federal government will come in and actually lay down the law because that's what's missing. And a lot of these, again, liberal cities and states is just basic law and order.
Isabelle Brown
I remember when you guys had that Antifa roundtable, there was a lot of mixed messaging from the response from the media saying this is so ridiculous, they're just making all of this stuff up. There's no evidence that any of these people had been attacked by Antifa. And of course it's the people who get the biggest run ins with Antifa of all time. Sitting around that table between you, Jack Posobic, Andy Ngo, I remember being so disgusted how much the media just refused to pay attention to how bad this problem of left wing violence has become. And you mentioned there this idea of radicalized left wing groups. I never see the mainstream media address this ever. And I remember instantaneously after Charlie's death we started looking into on the show one particular radicalized group in Utah called the Armed Queers of Salt Lake City. And these people had literally gone on a terrorist training trip to Cuba and been instructed in firearms training and disruption and all kinds of crazy violent protest tactics and then came back to the United States. I don't know if the FBI is currently looking into that. I hope that they are as potentially a larger network and cabal of these more radicalized people that may or may not have had some sort of hand in Charlie's assassination. But we also know that the guy who just tried to kill the President a week ago at the White House Correspondents Dinner was also part of one of these groups, according to his family. So where are we missing the actual journalistic integrity in America here? And is this truly a widespread problem across our country?
Savannah Hernandez
Oh, absolutely, Isabel. And it's because the media has turned a blind eye. I mean, I was telling you prior to us even starting our interview how CBS News didn't reach out to me or they alleged that they did. I just did an interview with them for the first time after my assault. They alleged that they did. I didn't see anybody reach out, but they decided to interview two of the protesters who were a part of the mob that was screaming violent obscenities at me like this is who the media chooses to promote as righteous in our society while simultaneously turning their, their eye to the actual violent left wing groups that are on our streets every single day fomenting chaos, attacking families, promoting violence. The, I mean, you have Hassan Piker who will go up in front of the nation and say the most horrendous and violent things against his political opposition. And the New York Times looks at him and goes, oh, he is the perfect person to interview and give a national platform to. So our media also complicit in this because like you said, they refuse to cover the antifa round table. We had Katie Davis Court on that, that round table. She had a black eye because she had been brutally assaulted by an antifa member in Portland. Nobody's been arrested for that still to this day. And again, you know, if the media was actually doing their jobs, we wouldn't need independent journalists putting their lives on the line. But because I, I quite frankly too think, Isabelle, that there's an aspect of the media being scared to cover these things because I have seen in some instances local media get targeted just like we are. Are they get attacked too? Because oftentimes, and I know this is crazy, but these criminal left wing groups do not want reporters filming their criminal activities. So they get very violent. So I think that again, it's, you know, these younger investigative independent journalists who have been brave enough to go and cover this. Meanwhile the media, I don't know if they're scared. I don't know if, I mean, actually there's probably a local aspect of that, but like I said, I think just on a national scale, they turn a blind eye to it and they're complicit in it. Because they don't want to go cover it.
Isabelle Brown
This has been going on really in like the darkest corners of our society, I would say for about a decade now. I remember being a college student and the very beginnings of antifa in America were right when I was the chapter president of our Turning Point USA chapter. And Charlie came and gave one of his first major campus speeches to my school at Colorado State University. It was terrifying relative to anything that happened at the time because it was right around the era of that they lit Berkeley on fire because Ben Shapiro was there and all that. So the Colorado National Guard was deployed and they had snipers on top of all of our buildings. Now of course, that's just so normal, right? That's very normal for any campus speech. But at the time, that was so insane to even suggest was normal on a college campus or necessary. And with these protests specific to college campuses now that we've seen bleed out into every other area of politics, whether it's the very disgustingly pro abortion crowd or the anti ice crowd or whatever, these violent tactics seem to be coming more mainstream with every passing year in American politics. And I think in many ways that's good because it's forcing the mainstream media to at least somewhat address that it's happening. It's not just these man on the street interviews that we've seen covering this, but somebody is starting to pay a little bit of attention to it, at least getting a roundtable at the White House about it. But I think there's an interesting counterpoint to that as well. With the legacy politicians and the legacy media now running cover for it in a way that I never have seen before. I'm looking at Gavin Newsom go after Nick Shirley as some sort of danger to society. And the California state legislature introducing the Stop Nick Shirley act to put people like you, Savannah independent journalists in prison and charge you with tens of thousands of dollars in fines, charge you with felonies or misdemeanors and take your content off the Internet. Because independent journalism represents presents such a threat to the COVID up of not just violence, but fraud and illegal criminal activity run by the most powerful people in our society for far too long. What's your take on that? What's your response to that?
Savannah Hernandez
Well, I'll remind people that before elon Musk spent $44 billion to buy X formerly Twitter, journalists like myself were censored. I actually was censored for two years. And at the start of my journalistic career, that was the original way that the left wing silence silenced Dissent, Right. They would censor us online. Big Tech was very complicit in killing stories that were counter to the narrative that they wanted pushed out. They did not want people seeing BLM violence. Let's not forget CNN's very famous, fiery, but mostly peaceful rendition of BLM. So what I see now is they are not able to control the Internet anymore and social media and the narrative in that way. So what's happening is corrupt politicians are now trying to use the law and weaponize it against journalists to impede on our First Amendment right as a form of censoring again, the corruption that is happening at the state level, the local level, you know, and this is why it's more important than ever that all of us push back against this and highlight what's going on. Because what the left wing does time and time again is if they can't censor you online, then they'll try to censor you in real life. And they will go to horrific lengths again, as we saw with the assassination of Charlie Kirk, who I truly think would have been president one day. And that's why they targeted him, because he was so effective at winning over young hearts and minds and he was so effective at communicating how incredible our country is and how, you know, devastating a lot of these left wing policies are to the nation. He did a great job of that and they could not handle, you know, that narrative. That's why you can't debate with the left wing often, because they really do not have a good, legitimate response or excuse for their policy. So they always revert to weaponizing government agencies, the law, big Tech, you know, against not even just the right wing, but anybody trying to tell the truth.

Be right back with Savannah in a moment. But first, Mother's Day is right around the corner. And if you're anything like me, finding a gift that actually feels meaningful can be really tough. There are so many options that end up just feeling generic or rushed. And that's why I was so excited to discover our friends at Kexi, a family owned bakery that truly puts so much love into what they do. They have created a special Mother's Day cookie box this year filled with amazing flavors crafted just for moms. I am a cookie snob. Okay. Cannot be too crunchy. Also cannot be too soft, if you know what I'm saying. Can't be too sweet. But it has to be sweet enough. Kexi hits the perfect note every single time. No notes, in fact. And what I love the most is that this doesn't just feel like a grab something quick kind of gift. It feels really personal, like you really put thought into. Flowers are wonderful but this is something that your mom can actually sit down and savor and enjoy. Their German chocolate cookie. Absolutely delicious. Their Texas Chocolate Chip cookie. Classic rich, done right. Plus it arrives in a beautifully designed Mother's Day box so that you don't even have to wrap it. They will ship it straight to your door or directly to your mom's which makes everything so easy. But heads up, these are limited editions and they do sell out every single year, so don't wait. Head to hallow.comisabel and download the Hallow app to join for three months free. Savannah, what's your response in our next last couple minutes together to this idea that political violence goes both ways? I've seen a lot of people posting about it on the Internet this week, and obviously the degree to which that may or may not be true is so astronomically, insanely different from what people are posting on the Internet. You have more experience with this than maybe anybody that I know. What would you want the world to know about this?
Savannah Hernandez
Yeah, the, the lie that the. I mean, that's what it is. It's a lie. Right? It's this consistent lie that is pushed by the left wing, that the right wing is violent. And it's so funny because the only thing they can ever point to is January 6, which lasted a couple hours, and everybody in the room, right wing, denounced all of the violence tied to that as well. You know, with the left wing, if violence is pushed and horrific things happen, you will see them celebrating it, you will see them pushing it. You will see them martyring the people that are assassinating a CEO that they deemed their enemy. So it is the left wing who views their opposition as a political enemy that needs to be taken out. And that's why oftentimes. And I, I will be honest with you guys, too, too. And your audience. I, I think immediately after the assault that happened in Minneapolis and also after Charlie's death, I was like, is this worth my life? Because that's what is at risk at this point. We're putting our lives on the line every single time we go out. Because it's not the right wing that is going and trying to target, assassinate and kill their political opposition. It is the left wing time and time again. Again, how many assassination attempts were there on Joe Biden's life or Obama's life? And how many have there been against President Donald Trump? I think that in itself explains exactly who is at fault here for, again, the increasingly violent rhetoric and the actions tied to it.
Isabelle Brown
Yeah. One of the craziest things about your story that just happened this last week, this assault in Minneapolis, is that it was perpetrated by a family, by a husband, a wife and their daughter.
Savannah Hernandez
Yeah.
Isabelle Brown
Not exactly the picture of the crazed, violent antifa lens left. Right. That I think typically we've become accustomed to as young conservatives and that we've been covering for a long time. If you had a message directly for this family. What would you say?
Savannah Hernandez
I would say that I feel bad for their daughter because they are on camera instructing her to commit criminal activity in this entire situation. Like, look, Isabelle, the Lord is testing me. He's like, you need to remember that, you know, vengeance is mine. And also, you have to be loving and everything, every single situation. And you have to be forgiving in every single situation. So, again, my message to this family is I hope a lesson was learned here. And I hope more than anything that you start being better parents to your children because you led your child into this situation and you put her in this situation. And, you know, as angry as I was at Paige for the attack that she enacted on me, at the same time, it was her own parents who instructed her to do that.
Isabelle Brown
Yeah.
Savannah Hernandez
Yeah.
Isabelle Brown
It's hard to imagine, as a parent myself, ever wanting to instruct your daughter to beat up another innocent human being or to engage in criminal activity at all. But in a crazy, upside down world, we're living in Savannah. Last fun question for you. I know you're not going anywhere, but what's next for you? How can people continue to support your incredible, very, very needed work and keep praying for you and cheering you on?
Savannah Hernandez
Go follow me on YouTube. SAF says X as well. I will, will, you know, be back out on the ground. I think I'm getting through the mental hurdle of having to be back out, but I am looking forward to doing a lot more mini docs and going in again, getting back to talking to Americans who are living through a lot of the chaotic policies that are being pushed in the United States of America. And, you know, as always, giving them a platform to discuss what's happening in their cities and states. So go follow me on those platforms. Isabelle, as always, I'm so appreciative of your support and thank you for reaching out to me immediately after this assault. It really meant the world. And thank you for being patient with me, too. I know we were supposed to do this interview, you know, a couple weeks back. I just kind of had to get through some stuff. But I'm very appreciative, you know, to be here with you today. And thank you for your support.
Isabelle Brown
I'm so grateful for your friendship, Sav. Always cheering for you, always praying for you. And I know Charlie was unbelievably proud of you as well. He talked about it all the time. And I know you're missing him just as much as I am too, these days. So know that we're always in your corner. Corner.
Savannah Hernandez
Thanks, Isabelle.
The Isabel Brown Show
Host: Isabel Brown, The Daily Wire
Guest: Savannah Hernandez (independent journalist)
Air Date: May 1, 2026
In this episode, Isabel Brown addresses rising concerns about escalating political violence, notably from left-wing protest groups, and the lack of meaningful media coverage regarding these incidents. Featuring independent journalist Savannah Hernandez, who was recently assaulted at an anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis, the discussion focuses on firsthand experiences, the broader normalization of violence against conservative voices, failures of the justice system at local levels, and the implications for free speech and independent journalism in America.
“Diana and Chris were the first people to start shoving me and putting their hands on me... Diana, her mother, is swinging sex toys in my face... Paige comes up to me, starts blowing a whistle in my ear.” — Savannah Hernandez [08:20]
“The positive lining on this is that the FBI and DOJ came in very swiftly and effectively... Just yesterday or just Wednesday, all three of them were indicted on felony charges.” — Savannah Hernandez [12:18]
“For a long time, the left wing has been allowed to get away with this type of violence... I really do hope this sends a strong message to the left wing that you can't hide in liberal jurisdictions anymore with a slap on the wrist if you brutally assault somebody, that the federal government will come in and actually lay down the law...” — Savannah Hernandez [17:15]
“This is who the media chooses to promote as righteous in our society while simultaneously turning their eye to the actual violent left wing groups that are on our streets every single day fomenting chaos, attacking families, promoting violence.” — Savannah Hernandez [19:44]
“Corrupt politicians are now trying to use the law and weaponize it against journalists to impede on our First Amendment right as a form of censoring again...” — Savannah Hernandez [23:38]
“The lie that the right wing is violent...the only thing they can ever point to is January 6...You have more experience with this than maybe anybody that I know. What would you want the world to know about this? ...It is the left wing time and time again.” — Savannah Hernandez [28:36]
“The Lord is testing me...you have to be loving...hope a lesson was learned here...you led your child into this situation and you put her in this situation.” — Savannah Hernandez [30:21]
"I will...be back out on the ground...getting back to talking to Americans who are living through a lot of the chaotic policies...giving them a platform..." — Savannah Hernandez [31:28]
On Video Evidence & Immediate Reaction:
"You take one look at this video and viscerally, instantly you know something is wrong. Before any arms start getting swung, before they shove you to the ground. There's something very, very dark and sinister about this footage that you shared." — Isabel Brown [14:04]
On Media's Role:
"If the media was actually doing their jobs, we wouldn't need independent journalists putting their lives on the line. But because...there's an aspect of the media being scared to cover these things...they get attacked too...These criminal left wing groups do not want reporters filming their criminal activities. So they get very violent." — Savannah Hernandez [20:30]
On the Cost of Independent Journalism:
“Is this worth my life? Because that's what is at risk at this point. We're putting our lives on the line every single time we go out. Because it's not the right wing that is going and trying to target, assassinate and kill their political opposition. It is the left wing time and time again.” — Savannah Hernandez [29:15]
On the Response to Her Attackers:
"You led your child into this situation and you put her in this situation...I hope a lesson was learned here. And I hope more than anything that you start being better parents to your children..." — Savannah Hernandez [30:21]
On the Motivation to Continue:
“I think I'm getting through the mental hurdle of having to be back out, but I am looking forward to doing a lot more mini docs and...giving them a platform to discuss what's happening in their cities and states.” — Savannah Hernandez [31:28]
Throughout the episode, Isabel and Savannah maintain a conversational but urgent tone, voicing deep concern for personal safety, frustration with institutional failures, and a resilient faith in their mission as conservative journalists. The episode ends with a note of mutual support and remembrance for Charlie Kirk, underscoring the toll such violence has taken within their community while affirming their commitment to bold, independent storytelling.
