every good man is a strong woman. So if that's the case, who is behind the chief lizard person, California Governor Gavin Newsom. Honest. Foreign. What is going on with Gavin Newsom's wife, honestly is the question on all of our minds today. I saw a whole bunch of clips go pretty viral this week about Gavin Newsom's wife, Jennifer Newsome, First Lady. Except you're not supposed to call her that. First partner of California, talking about how she raises her children and in particular how she raises her son. Sons.
Charlie Kirk
Here we go.
Conservative Political Commentator
Now I'm not one for mom shaming. This isn't the View. But I do think this speaks volumes to the type of society that the left is generally trying to push with California as the microcosm for everything. They want your families, your backyards and your country to look like come 2026 elections this November, the 2028 elections where Gavin Newsom is favored to be one of the leading candidates for for President of the United States and just for Western civilization at large. Turns out Gavin Newsom's wife, who isn't usually in the headlines. Jennifer isn't. She's not wildly popular as a public figure on her own. Has had this odd undertow in the Newsom household of desperately trying to dismantle the patriarchy and to stop giving her sons, now in their young child and teenage years, access to the Internet. Really. Because when they go on the Internet, they confront ra radical, dangerous masculinity from horrible people like Charlie Kirk and Jordan Peterson. So she's doing everything she can to raise her boys a different way. Listen to this.
Jennifer Newsom
I've given our boys dolls. Even if they tear the head off, I've given them dolls to learn that care and caregiving is not just an activity that's reserved for women, but. But that it's also an activity that is a responsibility of men. What I've done with both my daughters and my sons is if I'm reading a book and the protagonist is a male, I just change the he to a she. And it just normalizes for my sons in particular. Not just. It's not even. I don't even just do it for my girls. I do it for my sons because I want them to see that women can be the center of a story, that women matter, that women are interesting. At the end of the day, we're all kind of like, in this place in history maybe, where we're recognizing what it is to ultimately deconstruct all these gender roles and ultimately be human. And that's exciting to me. So, you know, I'll just continue to kind of do my work and try and deconstruct all of these, like, limiting narratives about, ultimately what it means to be human.
Conservative Political Commentator
And limiting narratives, the limiting narratives of what it means to be a boy or to be a girl. Because, of course, our primary objective in society is to deconstruct gender. Lots to unpack here. But how pathetically sad is it that the main worldview of these people, of the rabid leftist feminists, their main worldview is that women are so uninteresting and so unappealing and so unsuccessful on our own that they actually have to go out of their way to put women in men's stories? Does that not bother anyone else? I mean, it really bothers me. The message that we're actually sending through changing the pronouns of any protagonist in a book from he to she, is that women cannot have their own unique, special, empowering, uplifting, courageous stories as their own protagonists. They have to take the space in society that is taken up by men. That's the only way for women to ever be successful. And of course it's fine if a boy wants to play with a doll. I don't particularly have a problem with that. I don't think level headed person has a problem with that. But to shove a baby doll into the hands of a little boy so that they can learn how to be nurturing flies in the face of everything about human nature for little boys. And she joked about it there herself that they even try to rip the baby doll's heads off. Of course they do. No, they're little boys. Like that's not wildly shocking. But the intention to erase the masculinity here is actually really jarring and raises a whole lot of questions about what this actually means for a more global circumstance of these conversations taking on bigger political offices beyond just Governor of California. Here's Jennifer going viral again this week for talking about how we need to use the powers of government to stop boys from becoming right wing. Because that's naturally happening in America and it's got to stop.
Jennifer Newsom
Boys we all know, I think are increasingly are realizing that boys are moving away from sort of the more progressive boys that spend time online are moving a little bit. I'm trying not to be political here, but are moving to the right and being sort of influenced by the Andrew Tate's and some of that sort of alt right socialization online that we know is very, very dangerous. My husband and I were alarmed when our kids were watching sports online and my son knew about Andrew Tate and thought he was pretty cool and thought that his Republican grandfather, who's not a Trumper but a fiscal conservative, thought that my father would like Andrew Tate. So that's scary. We're like one of the most progressive households and our son is confused and asking all these questions. We're working on legislation to hold tech companies accountable and help them be a force for good in our kids and families lives. To really provide all the best in class resources and support for youth so that they don't go down this rabbit hole of very, very dangerous and limiting narratives around ultimately what it means to be a girl and what it means to be a boy. We owe it to them and ourselves to kind of heal this, this, this gift of modern technology, but curb it to be a force for good.
Conservative Political Commentator
There's that phrase again, these limiting narratives. The limit does not exist around what it means to be a girl and to be a boy. Because how dare a young boy in our culture today remotely encounter anything on the Internet, especially in the sports world that encourages Innate masculinity. That's evil. And because it's so evil and because girls next could be encountering messaging on social media that encourages them to embrace innate femininity, things like a natural nurturing instinct and desire to become a mom, it has to be stopped, whatever it takes. So they're literally working on legislation now in the state of California to limit masculine voices. Probably because the newsoms had this up close and personal experience with their son encountering more conservative ideas on the Internet. Is this not like, concerning to anyone else out there? She actually goes an extra step further in another now viral clip. And people are reacting to this as a huge, gigantic, flashing marquee warning sign of this is coming to a country near you. Talking about censorship and specific specifically targeting Jordan Peterson as an alt right extremist presenting dangerous narratives to young men and teenage boys. Yikes.
Jennifer Newsom
My sons are really into sports, or so are my girls. But my sons will watch their favorite athletes on YouTube or, and then all of a sudden, you'll find this sort of alt right extreme, you know, Jordan Peterson type speaking to my sons. It's insane. Connected to the sports culture. That's not healthy. Are you kidding? So then our boys are learning hate, bigotry, misogyny, racism. So it's very dangerous, you know, And I think we have to take responsibility and we have to hold those in leadership in tech accountable because they're making all this money and they're leaving our world in a very, very dangerous place.
Conservative Political Commentator
Yeah. Yeah. So in other words, she wants to pressure tech companies, social media platforms to silence certain types of content entirely that she deems to be alt right. Extremism, hatred, misogyny, bigotry, racism, etc. Allah, Jordan B. Peterson. Guys, really pray for California, honestly, because these people really need it. But speaking of prayer, Starting next Monday, April 13, you can join Mark Wahlberg and the whole crew at Hallow for their new Stay Prayed up prayer campaign. You've probably seen Mark's weekly Stay Prayed up posts on social media. That constant reminder for millions of us to just keep showing up in faith every single Sunday at Mass. Now you can go even deeper into your faith journey with him every single day. Prayer isn't just something we should say before dinner or when life gets really tough. It's about surrendering our control and inviting God to lead in our lives. And when we do that, everything will change. In this new Hallow challenge that I am so, so excited to be doing myself, Mark helps us all build a better rhythm of daily prayer that actually stick Even in the chaos of real life, we're going to learn how to pray with scripture, how to hear God's voice in his living word, and how to make prayer a part of the very fabric of who we are. Because staying prayed up is not just about perfection. It's about showing up every day with consistency, with humility, and with heart. That is exactly where God meets us. I love Hallow. You guys know how much I love it. I actually host a young adults devotional prayer thing for like 30 days. It's like a fun little daily thing that you can pray for every single day. Or I listen to all of the other amazing things on the platform to other prayer challenges. So stories about the saints, podcasts, music, mindfulness training, reflections. So, so, so much more. It has been truly life changing for me and my family to be centering our prayer lives around Hallow. Just making this a normal part of our daily routine. Which is probably why it was recently the number one app in the app store. I'm so excited for the impact that they are making in our culture. And as more of us start to discern our way home to the church, Hallow has been a beautiful vehicle to make that happen. You guys can check it out too. @halloween.com Isabel to download the Hallow app and join for three months free. Again, that's Hallow.com is for 90 days free on the platform. Stay prayed up. Honestly, the more of these clips I see and the more I understand that this is how this woman is raising her sons. In particular, the more the moment where Charlie Kirk and Gavin Newsome are sitting there laughing about how much Gavin Newsom sons love Charlie Kirk makes sense to me. I don't know if you guys remember this, but this actually did happen. This is not AI.
Charlie Kirk
It's night, trying to put my son to bed. He's like, no, Dad, I just. What time? What time's Charlie can be here? What time? And I'm like, dude, you're in school tomorrow. He's 13. He's like, no, no. This morning. Wakes up at 6 up and he's like, I'm coming. I like, he literally would not leave the house.
Jennifer Newsom
Did you let him take off school?
Charlie Kirk
No, he did. Of course not. He's not here for a good reason. But the point is school for like two years. Once one.
Conservative Political Commentator
The point is.
Charlie Kirk
The point, which is you are making a damn dent.
Conservative Political Commentator
You are making a damn dent, Charlie Kirk. Especially in an entire generation of young men who were feminized by their mothers who are being told inside their own houses. There's something fundamentally wrong with you, with manhood specifically. And by the way, they're saying the exact same thing to young women. It's just slightly different script. There's something wrong with you instinctually, if you want to grow up and get married and have children. It's the exact same reaction we saw from the View last week and everyone in coordination with it in Operation Lean In. As we're seeing all these other female comedians come out of the woodwork this last week to attack marriage and motherhood, there is something wrong with you. And when you go interact with ideas that tell you that it's okay that you are a man, it's okay if you are masculine. God created you this way for a reason. When you hear that from these radical extremists like Jordan Peterson and Charlie Kirk or Michael Knowles and Matt Walsh, we, as the government, as the first partner of California and the governor or who knows what next, need to A, put pressure on tech companies to kick these people off the Internet and only present a singular narrative, and B, make it illegal to have these conversations on the Internet, work on legislation, make sure the state can shut that conversation down immediately. Yikes. Pray for this woman's kids. Honestly. Turns out, though, this isn't new behavior. She's always been wildly opinionated and feels the need to weigh in on just about everything that her husband Gavin does or doesn't do. Believe in. Slash, think about everything has to be coordinated around a singular mission, a central compass, if you will, to defeat the patriarchy, which has maybe one of the most successful women in the country. Of course, she is still living under we all are and everything needs to change because of it. I mean, just this week, this is the same woman, Jennifer Newsom, who got on the Internet and said that the reason Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem were the first people to be pushed out the door of the Trump administration and lose their jobs is, of course because of the patriarchy, not because maybe we needed somebody to do a better or different job. Listen to this.
Jennifer Newsom
Trust me, I'm not a fan of Bondi nor Kristi Noem, but I need to call out that it's no surprise to me that the first two prominent people pushed out of this administration were women. Let me explain the conservative women that Trump hand picks who align themselves with an agenda that controls women, restricting our rights, limiting our autonomy, and pushing us back into this straightjacket of femininity that is only in service of men. There's a familiar pattern here, by the way.
Conservative Political Commentator
What she's referring to here is abortion. That's it. That's the one thing pushing women's rights back into the stone ages. It's. It's abortion. That's it.
Jennifer Newsom
Women are brought in package, Mar a Lago style, and lift it up as long as they commit to wholeheartedly serve the interests of the patriarch at the top. Now, it looks like power or proximity to power with a big title, but it never comes with job security and protection. There's no secure place inside this handpicked patriarchal body that systemically disrespects, devalues, and discriminates against women and girls. And this is where complicity comes in. Because when you align yourself with that value system, with a leader who has publicly devalued women, degraded them, and been found liable of abusing women, well, guess what? You're going to be the first to go. So while you're in a perceived position of power in this system that regularly diminishes and devalues other women, even if you help sustain and uplift this system, your power is only temporary, and ultimately, they will come for you. That's the unfortunate truth. For all women, no woman is safe in Trump's Republican Party unless she has enough wealth or the ability to buy her own job security and safety. And so, my friends, regardless of your political affiliation, you might want to wake up and see this for what it truly is. It's a way war on all women.
Conservative Political Commentator
It's a war on women. No woman is safe in Trump's Republican Party because Pam Bondi got fired because Kristina got fired. Not sure who needs to remind Jen of this, but Jennifer, the White House Chief of Staff, is currently a woman. The first woman chief of staff in American history. The White House Press secretary, the youngest one in American history, is a woman. The Secretary of Education is a woman. The Secretary of the Department of Agriculture is a woman. The Secretary of the the Department of Labor is a woman. The Small Business Administrator is a woman. The Director of National Intelligence is a woman. So just because two women lost their jobs because they probably weren't doing the best that they could be doing at their jobs, no woman is safe in Trump's America. But where women should be more prominent, we can ignore all the other women who are in prominent positions of government. They don't matter. But where women really should be more prominent is in running the Internet. According to Jennifer Newsom here. If women ran the Internet, she says, the world would be in a much, much better place rather than the tech bros currently making it happen. Listen to this.
Jennifer Newsom
Like, every problem that we have in society right now will be fixed when women come together and partner with our male allies and other allies. But when more women are in the rooms making decisions, changing the status quo and transforming not just our culture, but our society and our economy. I'll give you one example. Look at tech at Silicon Valley. Had more women been early on in those companies or at the tables of power making decisions, I don't think we would have so much or have allowed for so much sort of bigotry, racism, misogyny, and hate online. I don't think that we would have the anonymity of it. I think that there would have been a, ooh, that's unkind. That's not okay. You can't make money make money off of that. About dividing people, misinforming people, you know, belittling people, bullying people. I mean, again, think about who's the victims online? More often than not, it's women. Marginal, LGBTQ plus marginalized communities, women of color.
Conservative Political Commentator
What planet is this woman living on who is the primary victim of the Internet? I'm sorry, do we not remember the censorship of the last few years? And you're upset that women aren't running the Internet, but who politically are all of the tech bros supporting all the time? People like your husband. These people are the ones bankrolling your husband's campaigns for governor of California and presumably next for President of the United States, for which he is the leading candidate, not to mention Jennifer Newsom. I just have a really hard time believing that your whole shtick is we need more women in the room, we need more women's voices out there shaping culture when you refuse to. To even be acknowledged as a woman because somehow being called first lady is so demeaning, so beneath you, that you insist everyone calls you first partner instead. She said as much in an interview.
Jennifer Newsom
What I will say is that I don't know if our country is ready for first partner. Okay? Sadly, I don't know if they are. I'd like to think, and I'm going to work really, really, really, really hard for people to see what's been rendered invisible and devalued in our society and to go, oh, that's actually important. It's not always a woman behind a man, but the partnership is what's important, and then partnership will make the world go round. That said, I, you know, I have respect for institutions. California is sort of this petri dish of innovation. I threw it out as a whim to everybody when we were in the transition period and they were like, they kind of like, liked it. They thought it was cool. And I was like, okay. And so if not me, hopefully somebody someday will continue to assert and stand up so that more people see the value of the partnership.
Conservative Political Commentator
That was a minute and two seconds. And I honestly think it could have been boiled down into like three words. What is she talking about? There's a lot of words here. I don't think there's a lot of meaning here, but there's a lot of noise, I guess she's saying on the campaign trail when he was running for governor, she like tossed out in the petri dish of innovative ideas in California that she didn't want to be labeled as a woman, as the first lady of California. She wanted to be the first partner because it's more progressive and it highlights the partnership that really she's running things behind the scenes, not the front man for the operation being her husband, Governor Gavin Newsom. But even that's not a new idea or progressive. Like, do we not remember Bill and Hillary Clinton? It's just this insufferable insistence on making yourself seem like the new coolest, trendy, hip woke thing when really what you're saying is you want total control. And any sort of masculine voice in our society, including your own husband who is currently running the state of California, has to be immediately erased. Immediately. On the note of moms and wives and all of the important women in your life, did you know Mother's Day is right around the corner? I am a mom. It is my second time celebrating Mother's Day. I am not letting anyone forget about this. Call your moms, okay? Put it on the calendar. But since it's right around the corner, I'm sure you guys are already on the hunt for something that feels really special to give to the moms in your life. Not just another generic gift. Kexi, though, we love. They are soft, they're delicious. We Love eating them for a fun little sweet treat in our house. And my husband especially loves them even a whole lot more than I do. Right now. Kexi is serving up two of their most loved seasonal cookies. Texas sheet cake Yum. And carrot cake Extra yum. My favorite kind of cake. If your mom is all about bold fudgy chocolate or that cozy homemade carrot cake goodness, these are the flavors that she will absolutely adore. But there's a catch. Kexi keeps their menu fresh. So all of these favorites rotate through pretty regularly and they will not last long. Grab your Mother's Day, order a little bit early and treat her to a taste of the season while you still can. I cannot recommend these cookies enough. They are to die for and they are the perfect gift for Mother's Day. Make special Mother's Day easy this year. Go to kexi.com that's k e k s I.com and use my code isabelle for 15% off your entire order. Treat her and yourself to Texas sheet cake and carrot cake cookies. That's. That's kexi.com Again, maybe not wildly surprising. Back in 2017, the two of them, Gavin and his wife Jennifer, sat down for an interview where she praises his super feminine energy and why this makes him such an important leader for our time. That he's not hyper masculine. That because he was raised by a single mom, he only has had feminine influences in his life and is a much easier pill to swallow for voters.
Jennifer Newsom
We women, naturally, whether we give birth or not, have been socialized to care about children, their health, their well being, their education, the environment, et cetera, et cetera. You care about that. I believe through your own socialization of being raised by a single mom. Yeah. That helped your aunts and your sister. Surrounded by a more feminine energy that ultimately embraces caregiving. We have to entertain our kids, care for our kids, feed our kids, nurture them, provide them love. Historically, men have been socialized to just focus on work.
Charlie Kirk
Is it historic?
Jennifer Newsom
Not historic, but historically, yeah.
Charlie Kirk
Current, no, it's like really bad. Yeah, no, I'm with you. So yeah, no, it's bad. I mean, that's why we're doing this video, right? We gotta step it up, guys.
Conservative Political Commentator
Right?
Jennifer Newsom
Yes. And so many men are, and that's what's so exciting.
Charlie Kirk
But, but let's be honest. Are they really? I mean, in terms of that. 50. 50 when it comes to caregiving, I mean, we talk about that. I mean, what was that statement?
Jennifer Newsom
Why do you think I cc you on all of my emails when I'm Traveling about the kids?
Charlie Kirk
No, but. Well, at least when you're traveling, at least I'm taking care of the kids a little bit more. I feel better. But you sent me like, an article the other day that was so ominous and basically suggested that women spent like, I don't know, it was like 39
Conservative Political Commentator
days more per year, per year caring
Jennifer Newsom
for their children and their homes than guys and the elders.
Conservative Political Commentator
That's not wildly surprising, though. I mean, women are the ones breastfeeding, so of course, if you have new babies, you're going to be the one who's up all night feeding your baby. That's not an arm of the patriarchy. That's just reality. Right. And typically when babies are really little, it is women who are spending more time at home and men who are providing for the family outside of the home. That's. That's just typical human nature. It's not some sort of way to squash women and take away their hopes and dreams while elevating men to a pedestal that women will never be able to be on par with. But that's how it's presented. So therefore, the only way to fix our broken, disgustingly toxically masculine society is to have feminine men lead the way, like Gavin Newsom. At least they're the ones admitting this, that Gavin is a feminine man, not the political opposition. But, you know, will be interesting to see how people run with that. The craziest clip, though, that's going insanely viral this last week of Jennifer, Jennifer Newsome and her kids came from an interview she did in 2023. And I do just have to shout out at Maze more who has been tweeting all of these things on X this week? Spectacular job, no notes. Like your account has given me life the last few days. They pulled this clip of an interview that she did with Jen Psaki in 2023 where Jen Newsom is saying that she took their kids on a tour around the country to visit red states because they otherwise wouldn't be exposed to such a. A foreign, lesser than culture outside of California. And in taking her kids to places like Alabama and Florida, they were intentionally exposing their children to things like racism, sexism, bigotry, misogyny, and all the things you really ought to avoid in culture. You can't make this stuff up.
Jennifer Newsom
You took your four kids on this trip. You're here in Alabama now. Why was it important to you to take them on this trip to race states and learn about the history in our country? That's a great question. Well, I don't think or I know for a fact that we don't get all of this history in our schools. And it's part of enlivening them, building their curiosity, expanding their hearts, their empathy, so that they themselves can be the change they wish to see in the world and recognize that, you know, we have work to do and that we have healing to do. And so that they can be, you know, use their voices to stand up and speak out when they see pain and suffering and bullying and racism and misogyny around them. And you want them to see it so that they know I do. I'm a truth seeker. They need to know the truth.
Conservative Political Commentator
Because my true children will never see bullying or racism or misogyny in California. I, as a good mom and a truth seeker, have to take my children to Alabama. The most ridiculously cliche choice you could have possibly made here, to expose them to racism, which otherwise they clearly never would learn about, even in a California school. I'm sorry, is it not California that has, like, the strictest, most insane, critical race theory in the country? Like, literally just teaching your children racism, that white children will always be set up to succeed and black children won't? Like, that's insane. It's also insane to suggest that in Alabama, kids do not grow up learning about the Civil War or the Civil rights movement. My husband is from Alabama. I'm not. But of course he grew up visiting historical sites of significance like Selma and learning about Rosa Parks on the bus and studying the history of the Civil War. Like, do you honestly think people are just that stupid? The sweet, sad, idiot, poor hicks from Alabama, they're just so racist. They're just so misogynist. So I'm gonna take my kids on a field trip to their state, like the zoo, and expose people to all of the bad, horrible things in the world that clearly we don't have in California. We don't have as wealthy Democrats. It's just those hick, idiot, poor, landlocked Republicans. These are the people who are desperately doing everything they can to be the front runners for the Democrat Party for president and first lady partner of the United States of America. Just keep that in mind. Just keep that in mind. Whoever is clipping all of these things. May's more. Give me more. Please give me more. No pun intended. And someone please get this woman a podcast, a speaking tour, a Netflix special, anything, like, let her keep talking. I need more of her voice. Because the more we realize that California is the literal blueprint that has driven the larger plan by the left for decades and worked to fundamentally change politics at the state level. Coming to the country at large next, the clearer the choice really is. I watched my home state of Colorado become what we call now, affectionately California 2.0 throughout the last 28, nearly 29 years of my life. It is no longer a place that I in good conscience could raise my daughter, which is heartbreaking. I always dreamed of moving back to the mountains outside of Denver, the same mountains I grew up absolutely loving and exploring as a little girl. But I can't move back to a state that now says if my daughter gets brainwashed by one of her horrible woke teachers in a school to believe that she's a boy, if I tell her no, you're not, you're a girl, the state has the power to take her away from me. That is the California blueprint that has destroyed places like Colorado. It is now destroying Virginia where live today and is coming to a backyard near you or the country at large. If we are not abundantly clear that this cannot be the direction our society moves in tomorrow. I can't believe I never looked into Gavin Newsome's wife before. To be honest with you. This is like the gift that keeps on giving. But dying to know what you guys think of Jennifer Nome in the comments. Don't California my America.
Jennifer Newsom
Okay.
Podcast: The Isabel Brown Show
Host: Isabel Brown (The Daily Wire)
Episode Title: What's Up With Gavin Newsom's Wife?!?
Date: April 7, 2026
Isabel Brown dives into the cultural and political influence of Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife (or as she prefers, "first partner") of California Governor Gavin Newsom. The episode scrutinizes Jennifer’s outspoken progressive parenting philosophy, her views on gender roles, media influence on boys, legislative efforts regarding tech and masculinity, and her broader mission to "dismantle the patriarchy." Through the lens of recent viral clips and interviews, Isabel raises concerns about the growing political prominence of the Newsoms and the way their ideology could impact the country.
Parenting & Gender Roles
Internet Censorship & Legislation
Women’s Roles, Tech, and Society
Red States & “Truth-Seeking”
Isabel Brown approaches Jennifer Newsom’s statements with derision and skepticism, framing her as a prototype for leftist cultural ambitions that, in Isabel’s view, threaten traditional American values and masculinity. The host highlights what she sees as hypocrisy and condescension in Jennifer’s policies and comments, warning listeners that California’s approach is liable to go national if the Newsoms gain more power.
The episode is both analysis and alarm: “Don’t California my America.” Isabel makes extensive use of viral clips, direct quotation, and sarcastic commentary to drive her points home, blending news reaction with cultural critique.
This episode offers a comprehensive deconstruction of Jennifer Newsom’s public persona, her views on gender, tech, politics, and her ambition to reshape society’s norms. Isabel Brown frames the debate as emblematic of a critical divide in American culture ahead of the next election cycle, equating the Newsoms’ worldview with broader leftward trends in government and society.
