The thoughts, views, and opinions expressed by this podcast whose bullets its hosts offer entertainment purposes only. I repeat, it is not serious. It is not real. No one is exposing, revealing, indicting, or telling you anything about themselves. Also, we do not encourage you to try this at home. We are trained professionals who do not have your best interests at heart or our own. Enjoy the show. That board is. Look at that board. Hey, people, that board look wiggity. Hey, yo, when Mel take a stance cause she gonna. Huh? I ain't gonna say that part. She's lady on the board. She just taking a stance. When Mel take a stand, she don't hit that board. That board look homeless boy. Mel put something up there, gang, okay? Or you on your. Every time somebody gets. Every time somebody get checked in the media. Mel check a stance. I'll talk about it later. She see everything, huh? And somebody she like get checked. She take a stance up here. Girl, I took a stance for the. For you on that podcast. She doesn't speak for all women. All right? You the only one that know what you talking about. Yeah, I'm talking about here. Know what you talking about. Cheyenne Bryant checked. Oh, you mean our topic. Yeah, we only have three topics up there. You want to take one and you want to take one of them. And just for music, seven words. Because you want to hyperfocus on Mel. I do. So now we take. Cuz your Mel energy is lit. Your Mel. I said something when Mel was walking through the. Look, he back, okay? He back to lit. All right, My fault. I'll leave it alone. She said something. She said she don't play with the kind of people she like. Yo, you backed just by back. Mel, how you doing?
Melissa Ford
I'm doing okay now.
Joe Budden
Now let me start with Mel too, cuz me, that's a problem with me. I do it better than flip. I don't like how he do it. He does. It's too aggressive. But I will tell you all a secret. Flipping ish. Boy, if there was one person in the world mad as Khabi that y' all got to leave early on, I know it was Melissa. Savannah. So you're not telling us a secret? She started her shit before we even went. I gotta start looking around Maury. Why was I shocked at that? She didn't even say bye to me. Mel was said. Yo, this is bullshit. The least person that's supposed to be here is me. She told me. I came in to ask her if she was all right. How did it go on? I scurried out this bitch I left my bag, I looked up like, wait, where is she gone? That they said, y' all could go home. I said, and Mel look like, yo, Mel, honestly, that face, your body language.
Melissa Ford
I wish I was so shocked. However, I will.
Joe Budden
Why are you shocked?
Melissa Ford
Because I'm not exactly Ms. Hip Hop, you know what I'm saying? Like I said.
Joe Budden
You know how important you are to hip hop? Do you know how important you are to hip hop? Said that last time. Mel, you're using hip hop when it's convenient for you. Yes. Wow. Wait, what? I said, mel, you're not hip hop. And she cursed me out. Not only that, she walked to the bathroom and came, yo, look what a real hip hop release will do. It'll just uncover what's going on. Man, what the hell do you. Anniversary of hip hop did not pay homage to us. We paved the way. We were fucking vital in this industry and the growth of hip hop. Simmer down.
Melissa Ford
Yes, and I stand by that. Absolutely. The fucking newly, however, don't look away.
Joe Budden
Now we fold them.
Melissa Ford
When it comes to the encyclopedia that is, you know, freeze. When it comes to your knowledge on, you know, business and, you know, the music business and stuff like that, I'm a little quiet in these conversations, you know what I'm saying? And even though I'm a fan of their music, I don't know the history, I don't know the inner workings and stuff.
Joe Budden
You might be the most manipulative person. I'm not being manipulated. Manipulation with the gods.
Melissa Ford
I will say that. They really were.
Joe Budden
You said that to me.
Melissa Ford
They were incredible. They were awesome dudes. Like, really, really, like, great. And I didn't. There was a lot that I didn't know. I did not know about their parents passing. I didn't know about all of that stuff. So it was. It was really profound.
Joe Budden
Good to be able to learn about people.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, it was.
Joe Budden
Shut up. I wasn't being funny. I can't.
Melissa Ford
I'm sorry. Okay. I can't tell with you.
Joe Budden
Sometimes people. Let me just. Let me just say something. So what happened was Joe touched me and his shoulder. You guys can go home. Mark tried to come in after. Boom, yo. Yes. I don't. Hey, yo, dog, he just left eventually, by the way, he got. He's got smooth eyes. He just dipped. Hey, yo, fam, I got to talk to Mark. Went to the bathroom after Joe said, yo, y' all could leave. Mel said, no. Mark said first he said, yo, see, I ain't seen Mark. I don't really feel well right now. I got the sniffles. I can't breathe. Joe said, I just sent two people home, but he'll get, he'll be. Joe said, he'll be all right, yo, just sit through it. I said in my head. I said, oh, this nigga Joe is nuts. He said, you'll be all right. He complained how sick he was, yo, he used the word light headed. Joe, there's something in the cabinet right there, nigga, right there. Second shelf right there. Second shot. Something is wrong with me. Something in the cabinet is crazy. So then Mel right there, she looks around. Who's. You guys get to leave? Yo, bro, I walked outside, me, your dog. You could speak to my breeze. I was like, what? I was like, we did. Yeah. I never seen you move that. Because I saw, I thought, I thought the scooter was bad. No, Mel started her. I said, you know, yo, Mark, you right. I'm glad you said that. You, you, you would observe it. Mark did say, yeah, yeah, man, I'm not really feeling too well, dog. Guess who don't give a fuck. I didn't like when you did that though. I had to get a body here before because you caught my name too. I heard about the elevator. Yo, Flip. Yo, somebody said, flip, we was in the hallway. That nigga said, because they actually balanced it, they'll say you didn't stay in. I said, please. I hope they're not coming. Audience, we're talking about our clips interview that you can find on Patreon right this second. Subscribe to the channel, whatever it says forward slash, some shit y' all know. Ask somebody. But our clips interview where I asked Flip and Ish if they wanted to go home. They could. They seized the opportunity. Mark, our good brother Mark, who I don't even know you've worked here for a month. Like, no, we putting more workload on you. He said, I'm lightheaded. Justice. Yeah. You got four time Potter of the month. Did you ever think your label was working for me? How the line go? Like, yeah, nigga, come up here and get to work. And Mel, you always get to leave when you left a couple of times, Mel, for a couple of interviews. Oh, I left the most. I leave the most. But you left you second most. The second most. I leave the most.
Melissa Ford
I can only remember one.
Joe Budden
We're sure you can. That's fine.
Melissa Ford
I can only remember one that I took a stance on.
Joe Budden
You're still our sister in Christ, so don't lie. But that's. And that's you kind of. That stance wasn't even a stance. I get it. But you ain't care about them. Them kids in Jersey. Her stance is be with the Fat Joe leg. Stop it. I am.
Melissa Ford
I'm glad I'm not the only one that.
Joe Budden
No, he addressed his leg on his pond. You always think I'm shooting n. I didn't. I didn't hit. The Fat Joe leg thing is a thing on the Internet now. They keep. They found all these pictures of Fat Joe in shorts, and one of his legs is different than the other. I'll say. So it went viral, so he had to explain it a little bit. So in. Fat Joe just explained shit. Funny. So he was like, yeah, I got shot. They were busting at me and jumped over the. On some Fat Joe shit. But yeah, your stances, boy. We love you, Assistant Christ. This is my girl, Assistant Christ. Got you. And I think you mean more to hip hop to me than them too.
Melissa Ford
I received that.
Joe Budden
You and all the niggas. You know how many JPEGs you got going on right now? I don't think it.
Melissa Ford
I don't know what that is.
Joe Budden
They're not jpm. They are jpm. I don't think. I think. Oh, they got the iPad. You don't know what JPEG is? No, her catalog is back in the days. I think they. She now. She's on professional. She's got hot and bottom. We focusing on. We're not focusing on. Man, we out of here. Yeah. Yo, right, man.
Melissa Ford
Yeah.
Joe Budden
Yo, don't let them play with you. It's hip Hop day. It's Hip Hop day right quick. Y' all better think of some topics while I play this beat. Didn't drop yet.
Melissa Ford
I'm getting ready.
Joe Budden
No. Oh, yes. It's about that time. We getting ready for the weekend. Or is it the weekend already? Oh, this ain't your version? No, and I'm not playing this verse. Hip Hop Day, though. I'm not playing this verse. I'm cutting off. I just wanted to hit this hook.
Melissa Ford
Got it.
Joe Budden
Track two on the Cliffs Project always reminds me of this. So I wanted to hear this real quick. Hey, wait a minute, Wait a minute. Wait a minute now. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute now. I can't cut it right. God damn, that shit is hard still. But, but, but this. Mic check, mic check. 12 12. Happy hip hop day. Happy Melissa Ford Day. Yeah. Yes, sir. We gotta make a day out here. I didn't even know that one.
Melissa Ford
This is culturally inapp.
Joe Budden
What? Shout out to Lenny Kravitz. Lenny Kravitz on guitar. It is. No, it's real. I know, but I'm laughing at it. You're off. In the spirit of repossession. Too much enamel covers your necklace. I buy. You buying sections, you buy watches, I buy collections. If Lenny Kravitz come in my studio doing this shit, I gotta be high off acid, shrooms, Special K. What else, man? Swear my name. That there's delicate, you know I know where you're delicate. Crush you to pieces I hope Shout to wherever you might be listening I will close your heavens for the hell of you. You think it be valor amongst veterans I'm watching your fame escape relevance we all in a room with here's the element whole New York City rest in peace family and those lab diamonds under inspection the question marks block your blessings there's no tombstones in the desert I know by now you get the message uncle said niggas. Hey, wait a minute. Hey, you in your car right now. What up, what up, what up? System with chains and whips it don't take much to put two into your lucky streak is now losing you money's dried up like a cuticle you're gassing for air now wake it up out there Virginia, let's go back my goodness has home details tied back I just hit 6 mil we had tied back they content create I despise let's go 60 day stars and 20 year thousand not enough shopping whole lot of browsing oh God. Oh my lord clears I seen things that I'm still not even proud to share you Zeus network, you hear me? Loud and clear. Get these 5,500 to hosting out of here. I was in the truck last night oh, I was in the truck last night when this came out, whenever it came out. Shotgun with your ex feels like Malcolm sn. Oh my Lord. Jes bypass Mia too much. Oh my Lord. Mel's first on this is the one though. I'm letting it rock it. I'm not cutting this record off. Yeah, no. That's 2 minutes and 40 seconds to chill and catch a vibe. Mel, you want to go get some wine flip. Go do a skit Flip the network do what you want. Not a skit of show. My bad, my bad. Yeah, let's go. I got deaf and blind trying to see what it do Little feature set the feet. God. Mike check, mic check. 757 what up, what up, what up? Happy clips day. Wake it up out there. Hey. Oh, my button wasn't working. Happy clips day. What up, what up, what up? My buttons ain't working the way they supposed to be. Somebody been over. Corey, you been in my again, man. You a Martha. I want to hear that Battles verse, but we can. No, no, no, I'm not. No, I just stopped this to ask if y' all hear, like, if I'm reaching with the subs in Tyler's verse. Verse. I've come to appreciate Tyler's verse a lot more now that it's in my phone. Okay. Like from Apple. Yeah. Yeah. Is he dissing? Yes. Okay. He tried to. He did some cleanup on Twitter earlier. What'd he say? It was some. Let me find it. We got to find out what happened with Tyler and Drake. He said we gotta find out what try to throw off. He said an old friend I've made music with threatened to sue me over a feature they gave me in parentheses. So you don't run with a narrative. And you chose to say that on the Clips album. Well, how do we know you talking about Drake? Did he? We don't. We don't. Okay, well, that's what he's saying. Don't run with no narratives. Don't give us no reason to run with a narrative. Don't give us. Have you not seen this fucking billion dollar industry get built on narratives? Hey, where you been at the last few years, buddy? You went up there and fucking closed and slammed the door on Gerard Carmichael's face when he asked if he could fucking. You closed the door to go eat shrimp fried rice, nigga. You understand narratives. You got out that room fast as hell. You started talking to the HBO people in the background like, yo, yo, yo, y' all see this nigga? And it is. It is. It's easy to paint the narrative. I remember season one of that Jared Carmichael show. Tyler, the creator got the fuck out of that room. He told hbo, yo, I got somewhere to be. Is the car outside? He started the Uber. He know what the fucking narrative do. Any who's puzzle me, I could never buy. Cause she me. See, I take that line as one, too. Because homeboy is the only one that said, I'm buying bags for every girl that I date. For every girl that I date. Oh, no, actually, he said every girl I date. And when I'm not dating nobody for my future wife, he's the only one that ever Said no like that. So now what is Tyler talking about? And Tyler was at the pop Out. Yeah. I just supposed to say he popped out and you was at the pop out. You know Drake don't like that. You know you was dancing. Ain't he performed? Yeah. Did he turn that place upside down? Shut that down, Tyler. See, I wish these would just tell the truth so we didn't have to get to deciphering as fans in the 80s. Nah, deciphering's fun. Yeah, reaching is fun. That too. I liked it better before all of this. In the 80s, you paid 10 cents. You got your 100 CDs from the back of the thing. You got your wall, Abdul, whatever you were looking for, and that was it. You didn't know about what label was doing what? Yeah, you didn't know. Marketing rollout. You didn't know this video serviced here. Yo, dog, the bds, we know. Too much information. No, it's as humans. It's killing us. Yeah, that's y'. All. The average fan still don't know that? Nah, the average fan. I'm talking about in general. I'm not talking about just music. I'm talking about in general. And we ain't know what you sold your first week or your second week at all. The average fan don't give a fuck. When did the word flop make its way to the audience like flop back in the day was an industry term to say that you were upside down. When did the fans just start looking at, oh, flop, flop, flop. You know how many flops I like from the 80s? Some of my favorite niggas ain't got but one two songs. Yeah, words and they don't dare call. Album was amazing, but it ain't do. It was 50 year ago, but I remember the summer you said it. Who might have even been before that? Whose sophomore album flopped in the 90s? Everybody. Everybody. There was a thing called the sophomore song and nobody used the word flop then in the 80s. Hey, I ain't heard it. Flop. My dad. My dad didn't tell me. So me and him cover a few years. Yeah, flop wasn't used in the 90s. Yeah, it was barely used until early 2000s, I would say, until started caring. Yeah. Anywho, anyways, I got homes I sleep in the options My push keep dirty white moving like my. I'm like white the way I. I need God to play the lead in my bike I pick. This is my favorite record I heard in a long time as a rap song. That's so fly. Yo, My connect has ponytails tied back Wait, this hook is crazy Take Amtrak down south and she flies back I despise that I create content and they try that I've topped all these lists where's my prize? If they had the way the operation call it obese I mix it like my home Then I tell them the Raptop drop Playing hottie OC the Bentley leather mask Just to think I built a rap career off in no Z I'm watching new rap just to OD if I didn't give you both sides, I wouldn't be me I was the only one to walk away and really be free really be free. I didn't know what the Tybek meant. That's a dope line. That is very. You know what material. Yeah. When you building. Yeah, the, like, the Breaking Bad suit. The. You know what I mean? When they was bagging up the dope. It's a lot of the Hazmat suit shit. Yeah. Nah, but when he's saying, I hit it behind Tyvek, I'm talking about the walls. That's the. When you building, you framing cribs and shit. Okay. I don't think. I ain't take that from it. What you doing? Because Tyvek is just a material. That's just a material that they use before they put the siding on. And I thought you were saying hit 6 mil behind Tyvek. I mean, I made 6 million head where Head hiding behind time. Yeah, I understand that, but I'm saying hit would also. I'm hit 6 million behind. They both make sense. They both make sense. They both make sense. Yeah. That's the beauty of it. Yeah. They're gonna do a deep dive. Malice is incredible. Yeah. Yes. Malice on this album. Oh, I ain't doing an intro yet. Let me. Oh, I want to get into this. As far as I'm concerned. Yeah, we all did, man. I sung along. The rappers, I never believed. Me, too, man. Some of them is fire, man. They were. You don't hate on a little lie. That's the other thing, too, man. Oh. Nobody wondered if Kid and Play was lying. You right, G Rap. No, no, no. That must have started with Illmatic and Nas when was like, all right, dog, you ain't doing that. Maybe Jay and Hope J. Nobody thought that HOV wasn't really doing that. No, I know. He started solidifying and saying. Nah, he really did that, right. Well, he really was down south. Or he really was doing X, Y, and Z. So it started around that time where he saying, naj you wasn't that. Yeah. And then when when becomes a hit record the way oh no we lying because that's what they said about Kumody. That what you're not that in his beef and that in that beef in that and even in that video. What the is the video comment fans saying it Kumo DB Yes Common and and Cube too. No I'm saying was was the Common fans. He's saying like where the masses like the masses. Oh I don't know about that. I was too young. I'm saying this became a thing like Scream Murder. I don't believe you all that type of shit like I think I'm pretty sure that was LL that did and we aging us out so I'm leaving but I'm pretty sure that was LL who did the video mocking how cool Modi be in his videos saying you not tough. You can't fight. You really are. And actually it's an age old trope really. The underground has been saying you're not really a fucking drug dealer. You're not really. Ah ah ah. I don't think that should have went mainstream though. Okay. I guess all everything I'm talking about is it going mainstream. I'm not mad at the word flop. I'm mad at the mainstream use of it. Yes. I'm not mad at any some of this other shit but the mainstreams use of it and this clips album and I'm gonna play this last 39 seconds of this but this clips album has has created a healthy drew a healthy line between the not hip hop people or the or the respected versus the we playing the mainstream games. Yeah yeah. Clips just running around getting respect here Hebrew and been everywhere and I think they're gonna do numbers by the way. Well we'll get to that. I think so let me play this last 40 seconds. I don't care either but but I think they will act for the money. That's the devil in me. Oh that's crazy. That's crazy and that's crazy. Wow. Wow. I despise that. I create content and they tries that. All right let's get to it. I've topped all these list. Where's my prize at? Prize at prize at. We'll fold that up right now. That's for real. You know what's so crazy? There you go. Audience for the people asking why I sent this home. They mad at me. They said he's from Virginia. How could you say that? My album just dropped and put shout producer is and push wanted you here. He did that made it look like that made it look like hate from me. Keep this applause going for the best crew in the whole world. Hey, yo, you know what's crazy? Freeze. Hey, yo. No, he said this. And Nobo said that he can play that today. That he played the last V. Every time somebody talk. Hey, yo, Nori said that. Didn't know he said that. What do you think? M. Well, I think H. Hey. Oh, no. He said this. No. Why did we. Why did we cut that out again? What was that? He was telling a story that he didn't want to tell for fear. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't remember the story. No, no, that was a good one. Great cut. A good cut. Brother Malcolm. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Y' all talking about. Got it. Listen, man, this is the best show on earth, you guys. This is on episode 842 of the Best show on Earth. Yeah, we've been best showing this for a good second. For a good second. Multiple crews. Multiple crews here. Oh, and mighty the best. You have to Marty the body. They talking about. Best show on earth. Y' all talking about. Anyway, and we'll get to that later. We'll get to, you know, I mean, gotta get the support here. Gotta talk about it. I'm sorry. Ain't nothing else on the board. I'm gonna just sit here and be immature for three hours. Sorry. We're the best show on earth. You guys are the best fans on earth. This is the best crew on earth. Welcome to episode 842 of the JBP. I'm JB beside me is the P. The P. Whoa, Joe Budden didn't say that at all. Beside me is the P. I've been watching Mel. Mel's just been walking around. I can't even say that. Nah, but you've been. You did some. That move you pulled last week in the kitchen. You've been here wilding this summer a little bit, but. Hey, Mel, you backed up. You know, you did some. Really? Yes.
Melissa Ford
I don't know what you're talking about.
Joe Budden
Cool. I believe, but she really don't too. She might not have did it on purpose. I don't think she did it on purpose, but she did some. She's no longer mindful that she worked with a whole bunch of like, she just walking around, bending over, dropping, like, twerking, like everybody ran. Mel, is this crazy?
Melissa Ford
I'm sorry. I, I. You're right. I am oblivious. I've gotten comfortable.
Joe Budden
Comfortable. Yeah.
Melissa Ford
Com.
Joe Budden
And that's a good thing. That means you Trust us.
Melissa Ford
Yes, yes, yes.
Joe Budden
I mean, that beer. Speaking of beers, the big queen slip in the building. Speaking of beer. I get it like that. Like that shirt, man. Thank you. Thank you, bro. Thank you. Prize picks, gang. How's everybody doing? How y' all feeling? What's poppin? What's poppin? Ain't on the board so we can talk. The board. Let's just talk like huge humans. Okay. Let's just talk like. You're doing good, man. What's up, y'? All? How was everybody's week? Week is great. Week was fine. Morning started off a little. That's hot. It's annoying. My yo. I'm ready for the fall. Yeah. 103. I'm good. I don't want to come rain on everybody's parade. There's nothing in the world like fall creeping up in New York. Agreed. Summer's cool. Summer's great too, though. Summer's great, too. Now y' all can have y stay over there with that. Let's talk about it. Hey, when don't go outside no more. They say like this. I'm outside more than. And the. Huh? Yeah, I'm chilling. You're right. You're right, Queen slit. There you go. Go. Absolutely right. Get in trouble. Trying to get in trouble. Trying to pull. Pull to me. I walk you right into the door. How. How y' all girls acting this summer? A little bit different. I was cool to this morning. My partner doing this woke up with one of them dreams. I don't go outside.
Melissa Ford
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Joe Budden
He's right. I hate that dream. Dream beef is the worst. Serious. I swear to God. That still happens. Yes. Yeah, it still happens in the black household. Yes. We have it. White. White chicks don't drink, Right? They don't drink. Look, they dream. They dream is reality. They living. They dream. We dreaming. That dream shit is crazy. Yes, that's the Worst fight in the world. Yo, let me say just real quick, I'm gonna let that. Yo, I had. My wife was. Had an attitude. What's wrong? I had a dream. Cool. All right. What's the dream about? I don't wanna tell you because you tell me you don't believe in dreams because. And I told her. My response to her was, I don't be believing. I don't know what you're talking about. A snake fell into a pit of black paint. What does that mean? And it was rice. Yeah, rice. I don't know what that means. Apparently it's offensive to. To your partner if you don't consider their dream. I don't. I will listen to it, but I don't know what the fuck it means. I don't. And you got an attitude with me. It means something that I'm like, are you accusing me of something? What does your dream mean? What is it talking about? What is it telling you? I wish he had one of them dreams. This shit was very clear in this one. Yo, the wings came down. The wings symbolize. You went on fuck shit, not freeze, freeze you. I was like, nah, fuck no. That is annoying. That's annoying. Like, damn. How the do her dreams always know?
Melissa Ford
Intuition.
Joe Budden
Intuition. That dream crazy. Mel, you ever did the dream, you can tell us the truth. All right, we won't dogpow you this hour. And you looked it up. In general, I don't want to hear about dreams, but especially if you're gonna be mad at me about something that I did in my life. No, they go look it up to see what it symbolizes.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, yeah, Usually. Yeah, we do. We do. And yeah, I've had the dreams where, like, I dreamt that he was on some fuck shit. And that was my intuition telling me that that's what I believed.
Joe Budden
And he was on fuck shit.
Melissa Ford
And he was on fuck shit.
Joe Budden
Sometimes you see, you could be watching something and just dream about some shit you was watching.
Melissa Ford
And there's that. That too. Yeah.
Joe Budden
Like it was intuition.
Melissa Ford
It's true.
Joe Budden
But why, man? Why does it mess up y' all whole mood moving forward? Like, why if we're. Because how do as a man, right? How would you want your man to respond to your dream if you tell him, I had a dream about you? How are we supposed to respond?
Melissa Ford
You know what you're. It should not mess up everything. Just get over it.
Joe Budden
On their periods, they be emotional. Girl, that's going on with them. Mercury in retrograde. Yeah, we know that. We iterate now. We Wake up, dick. Yeah. Hanging the white teeth cut. We outside they. Because it's internal. Internally. Daylight internalize. Yes, yes, yes. For an eternity. For an eternity. Anyways. Damn. Freeze. I'm sorry you had the experience. Yeah, sorry. We good. I mean, you know, it was just a up part. What you'd be apologizing for some you ain't doing. I ain't go that far. Yo, I'm like. Sorry. What? Sorry you slept on the wrong side. I sit there and wait for the cuckoo part of them to come out. Cause you telling me about a dream you had last night. It's perfectly fine. So I'm with you. Hey, let's do it. Oh, I don't. Slowly but surely the cuckoo is coming out from start of the dream. Well, you was in it. Okay, all right. Okay. Yeah. And you met another girl and then I came in. Oh, okay. That type of dream. All right, cool. I'm waiting to see that bitch, too. She had long black hair. Same thing my wife. Tell me about a dream she had. I said, you don't even know how this girl looks. So how could you have a dream about this person? I'll find out. I'm gonna see that bitch. I asked her, and I could ask her. Okay, so tell me how she looks. Describe her. What color skin does she have? I asked her these questions. You wanted to see if it was your real work. No, I'm just saying. No, because the point I was trying to prove is that a dream is a dream. If you call a name that I'm familiar with and your description of the person is totally off. You don't know how they look. You never saw them before. This is what I was telling her. You never saw them. So you're just having a dream. Did the name. I want to know details. Did the name pop up? How do you know it was said person if you never saw them before?
Melissa Ford
Don't you think that your strong connection with somebody can make them.
Joe Budden
No, no.
Melissa Ford
Let me give you another scenario in terms of, like, dreaming. Like, what if they dream like you're not beside them, you know? And so they have this dream that something has happened to you, and then something actually happens to you. You don't think that your connection is that strong, that they would know when something happened to you?
Joe Budden
Yes. Yes.
Melissa Ford
Okay.
Joe Budden
Well, I believe in it.
Melissa Ford
I think the same thing applies.
Joe Budden
I believe in it Here. I don't. And you think that y' all are so intuitive. Intuitive, mature and disciplined enough. And power.
Melissa Ford
Hold on. Maturing. Discipline. Is that something else?
Joe Budden
Stand on that, man, I respect that.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, that's something else.
Joe Budden
Okay, Why y' all intuition don't talk to y' all about your homegirls? Why your intuition ain't pick six numbers so we can be out of here? What are we talking about?
Melissa Ford
Facts? I wish it worked.
Joe Budden
Or why your intuition wasn't so strong that it ain't catch this for six years?
Melissa Ford
No, that's a lot of. A lot of times that's people ignoring the. The flags because, you know, for whatever reason, a lot of people really wanted to buy. Want to buy into fairy tales and like that, man.
Joe Budden
A lot of women favorite color red. What the freaking cuz they talking about? Ignore the red flag? No, they love that. They run to they bulls. They bulls. Yeah, that's funny.
Melissa Ford
A lot of y' all like some red flags.
Joe Budden
That's a fact. Oh, no, no. See, we admit it. We should have a gender war fight right now. Never start the sing off. No, too much. Too much real hip hop. Then they say never while we're in the middle of it. Look, never, never, never. But y' all never. Yeah, we'll get back to it.
Melissa Ford
Okay? Yeah, we'll go back to the gender.
Joe Budden
War fight about dicks and pussies. Where do y' all want to begin? New music. New music. I ain't heard number clips and Bieber. I listen a little bit of Bieber. I was a little thrown off by the skits, but then I realized it was Drew Ski. So I was like, all right, cool. Yeah, I was mad until. Well, I was mad when I saw the name Drew Ski on skits. What's that? But this out working you, bro. I knew he was gonna smoke in your boots. Yeah. Shout out to him. Him. Shout out to him. I like that. I think that is great. And I support it. Of course you do. Yeah. I have to, right? No choice. No choice. Who outworking him? Everybody. Everybody in the world. All them. Yeah. Y' all think this was a play by Def Jam, the B album? It appears that way. Expand. Why? Clips was on Def Jam left Def Jam got bought out or whatever. Bought themselves out. And I was dropping this album, and surprise, out the blue, Def Jam drops a Bieber album. Oh, Beaver's on Def Jam. I didn't know that. Yes. Beef's on Def Jam and literally surprised out the blue. No, no, nothing.
Melissa Ford
What's the play? I mean, like, I'm not. I don't really see Bieber just step on the clips, release fans being kind of.
Joe Budden
It's not about the fans. It's about to step on their release. Step on their release. Like they could. I mean, with all the. With the run that they've been on on they. And. And with no other majors really dropping this week, you know, everything that I've seen have been kind of independent artists dropping. They could have had a number one album. Could have a number one.
Melissa Ford
Got it. Understood.
Joe Budden
Ain't Travis dropping this weekend? Travis is dropping Sunday, I believe. Travis Scott, Yes. A single or album. Jack boy, too. Ah, okay. All right. And that's dropping Sunday. Interesting. Just interesting. I'm not gonna say. So how does the Bieber album sound? It sounded good. It sounds good to me. I mean, I'd like to listen to it some more before I. You got through the whole thing? Yeah, they're short songs. Okay. Two. Most of the songs are two and three minutes. I don't understand why he wouldn't want to do a proper rollout. Because he's on crack. Oh, allegedly. You can't say that. Please. That boy skin used to be beautiful. You see that? He's going through a lot. I heard. You know, I did the research. He was in a lawsuit with his ex. Ex manager, Scooter. Scooter. Scooter, yeah. For a long time. And I think that they. He has to pay back scooter 26 million and something else. I want to get my facts straight, but I know the 26 million he has to pay back Scooter, and I'm joking. I do not know that Justin Bieber is on crack. He just looks like he's on crack. You could tell they rich because when they said scooter waved the 8 million, that was old. I'm like, they just waving 8 million. But if I had. I'm listening to this like it's crazy. Yeah, they said basically Justin had been going around saying that Scooter Braun stole some money from him. When they really did the forensic audit, allegedly Justin Bieber owes Scooter Braun a shit ton of money. And initially they was beefing. They like, yo, dog, you owe me money, but let's just wash it because. Let's get to it, Scooter. Apparently Justin Bieber was on the tour. He got in advance to do a tour, and then he didn't go on the tour. No, he went. He, He. He didn't complete the tour. He impartially finished the tour. And then. So the rest of that bread that we gave you. Yo, yo, you can't do that. You can't do it. At least let finish his thought first. Let a nigga finish Their thought, man. Yeah. Hey, hell, dog, we talking about this glitch you. Hey, don't give a. About school tomorrow. White boy getting old money. Hey, hey, hope they fix it. Hey, hope your big say where you at it okay, Eclipse is out. That's my problem with you Caribbean niggas, man. They come over here and do this. Yo, you've been on that lately. I told you. Stop. They mad at you.
Melissa Ford
Oh, the Caribbean.
Joe Budden
What?
Melissa Ford
Yeah.
Joe Budden
You've been taking a stands. The FBA stands lately. Or ADOL stands lately? I respect FBA foundational black American ADOs. American descendants of slaves. Oh, okay. I thought he said the other. Hey, I gotta listen. That's why I got headphones. Oh, no, no, no, no. Okay. Shout out to you. Shout out to you against stands. But you've been on that lately. I said, I. I said. Where did that come from? Out of nowhere. Did your pops talk to you? What the hell happened? Joe just came back like, you know what? Black Americans, we're not getting our respect out of nowhere. I've been here for like three years and he wasn't on that. This past year. He was. You gotta be on it. You gotta be. If you on that, you. You gotta be more vocal about it now because other things are visible and vocal. Got it? You said that like there's too many people feeling comfortable getting on steak in some of these other right wing spots, just talking about, yeah, you fucking American blacks. American black. You ain't got no culture. American black. It's becoming a thing what they're saying about black Americans. It is, but it's visible here in America. Yeah. Really? I'm seeing more of it. I'm seeing more of it. That conversation they having on law, I'm not bringing it up right now because. Please, because I rather not. But yeah, every time Kai unlocks a new achievement, there's quiet whispers about it. Because he's probably the most famous person that has said, y' all black people don't have no culture. He said that? Yeah. Oh, I didn't know. He's not the only person. I'm not trying to highlight him saying it because I really like him. And I think that that's just an education thing. Some of these other people I don't feel that way about. So that's all real quick. Do you feel like when you hear, like you said, people have been saying that for a long time. What have they been saying for a long time? American black people, we don't really have a culture because. What? Yeah, before this spins. Because we can't trace our lineage. So, like, if you take people from Jamaica or not Jamaica, let's say somebody from Ireland or somebody from Italy or somebody from wherever, they can literally go back to where their ancestors lived. Like, you can go to Italy and see your upbringing, your roots. We got stolen. So a lot of us can't necessarily go back to Ghana or go back to Nigeria or go somewhere to find out where our real lineage come from.
Melissa Ford
Well, now we can.
Joe Budden
That's been a thing for a long time. Do you question real quick, Joe, how many years. How many years need to be established for culture, for culture to be established? I would argue I go to my family grave site and see buttons. Buttons from 1710. Really would argue that. American dope. That's fine. Everybody can't do that. So I don't. That's why it means different for him that. No, I said that's dope. A lot of people can't do that. That's fire, though. But a lot of. Real quick. A lot of all the cultures are coming into black American, like the Essence Fest, and they're coming in and buying into it. Can I say that? Or buying purchase. I don't want to say stealing. A lot of them still are. I'm talking about the person that now runs Essence Fest is an African woman. Yes, yes.
Melissa Ford
Well, the CEO. Yeah.
Joe Budden
Yeah.
Melissa Ford
So the owner is as well, rich, Lou. Nigerian.
Joe Budden
Not always been. That's what I'm saying. Did they buy into it? That's what. I don't know how to. They bought it, got it. They bought. A lot of people are having. A lot of black Americans are having issue with things like that that are transpiring. They feel like their culture is being taken from them. And like Joe said last time, it's a bunch of flags up. He didn't say it, like, in a negative way, but just how it looks different, how it's presented different from when it was before, when black Americans owned it, it was like this. And then now it's like, you bought into this company. Cool. But you're shoving your culture into our face. How some people feel to the point of black Americans not having a culture. Why can't black American be a culture? Black American is a culture. I would say, as a white, like, I'm Irish or whatever. I feel like not really connected to Irish culture because it's so far distant or whatever. Like, y' all culture is much more recent than. Honestly, like, it's bad. It's white. It's white. It's white propaganda. It is yeah, it sounds like. Like, just because you build a park over some shit don't mean that black America is not. It's. It. It's. It's a culture. It's. Don't get me started. I don't want to start with this. Yeah, yeah, all right, all right. I didn't want to start. Let's have some fun, man. And Scooter Braun. Money that he took from Justin bj. Or didn't. Whatever. Got it. Or didn't. Listen, when my business accountant stole from me in 2004, and it wasn't. It was shorts too. I want to do crack. It was short. It was a little bit. It wasn't a lot of money at. Well, yes, it was. It was a lot of money.
Melissa Ford
But at the time, it was my.
Joe Budden
First little buck 75. I thought. I thought was. I was SA. They stole the whole thing. No, that's when I thought, hey, I'm doing this many shows a week at this number. Hey, I could save money for the first time. And so I'm back seeing that number for the first time. I was like, yeah, that's why I'm doing it, man. She's cracked. They crack. New York. She took millions. Oh, it wasn't just you. Oh, no, no. They got the whole firm. Oh, damn. Like, my number was so insignificant that they never even just got a cut. Your losses. Go earn it again. But people lost millions and millions of dollars behind that anyway, and there was no remedy for that. It's just a dub. Yeah, no, well, that's not true. Some people were remedied. It did go to court. Yeah, you could sue. It did go to court. Some people. No, but if you broke, you gotta now spend a hundred thousand to get your 175 back. That right? Right? Oh, yeah. I wasn't doing that. I wasn't. You just got me. Whatever. Clips. Clips. What do you guys think? What do you guys think? Let's go, let's go. Let's hear it. Let's hear it. Sounds amazing. Like, amazing amazing. I ain't hear the whole thing yet, but me neither. But for what I heard so far is it's fire. I'll probably play it all week and come back in. I've listened to it a million times. At this point, it might be tied with Hell hath for me. I gotta watch Parks. Why? Because in the re. In recent months, it feels like after a release, you come in with one of those. I and I. I look back at my GNX tape review and I stand patent that. That. That Take aged like fine wine. There was one more recently that you said. I don't remember it, though. Maybe it'll come back to me later. But anyway, this album is great to me. Yeah, this album. This album was top to bottom, amazing. I don't have much that I don't know about the product. Got it. Sorry that. That off. I'm sorry that. That Offset record is the best solo Offset record. That's not true. What's a better record to my bodies? Yeah, I love that record. I love it too. That ain't better than his record with Don. For me, I like the rap. I like bodies better. I like bodies better. I do too. Let's not get crazy. Hey, ain't nothing on the board. Yeah, I will sit here and play these things. We can definitely do it. Let me show you all some love real quick. If you want smart, then we cook up like an omelette. I'm just being honest. Throw me a 60 if I go to magical honest. I'm just. I gotta talk over this before they try to get me me. There you go. This is hard, but it's a. This beat. It's with beat carry. For me, my. This a hit. I hope it's worth it. One is a hit. One. Not that one. It's. They're different types of records to me. Do you like the hip hop or do you like the R B? And yeah, for me, this record said hard. I thought you meant, like, the best. Well, I do think it's the best too, but that's a different story to me. The edge is in the. It's not a derivative record. This is busted. Them. The. The Jade record is brand new. Okay. So to me, that gets a nod. I got it Clout. What with Cardi featuring Cardi. I still did one better. I'm a hip hop guy. I like rapping and that beat is hard. I like clout. All right. I like the Jit record better. I Cloud is right there, though. Got it. Got it. Back to clips. Happy clips. Day. Happy clip. Where do y' all want to start? On our patreon. We focused on Listen pov. For me, the first five off this six go crazy out of here. Although the remix to so Be is a little strange. You know, I love it. I think it's dope. It just, you know, you can tell they didn't rap to that beat. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or it sounds like they didn't rap to that beat. Yeah, but that. That. That the music is fire. I think it's the same drums I could be wrong. I don't like it. I'm just used to the other one too. You know how that go. Other one just sounded gritty. Yeah. Let's talk about it. When I was born grandmama could see it I be spinningly driven and very strategic. Rm sleeve, no diamonds are needed Floors are heated, so be it. So be it crazy. Just sound like the undertaker. I love hard. It's hard, but it ain't. It ain't demoitis. This is hard. Square 8 million up heavy on the wrist A little bit mentally driven and very strategic. RM sleeve, no diamonds are needed, the floors are heated, so be it. So be. It's something to meet you. You so don't like your body we help you free it Then we wait for TMZ to leak Ain't no secret so be it. So be it. That is super hard. They give. They give me different feels. Yeah, it does. Yeah. That's what it. To me, what I would have done is obviously backseat producing or whatever. And obviously it was probably a sample clearance thing. I would imagine I would have used this with a remix and put someone else on it just to make it like this is a whole different. You know what I mean? Like, it's fire. It's fire. Both are fire. I just like the original. I like the original. Yeah, it's. I don't know. It could be that though. It could be just. We just mad demo artist for sure. I think if you did a remix with a different verse, maybe put that first or something, it would give it a different appreciation. Well, on this one, they brought the beat back after the Travis diss smoke. Killing them, you know what happened video. I can share an eight year. They wouldn't believe it. But I can't unsee it. I ain't TMZ it. So be it. So be it. This is culture. It's just hard. It's just hard and glorious bass dudes.
Melissa Ford
I love that track.
Joe Budden
This was my early standout. This one felt very reup gang mixtape. Yeah. And they clue on it. Yeah, just with that. With the culture just stepping all over the vocals. That's how it felt to me. Yeah. Once the mixtape not mixed as pristinely as the other records. Sounds intentional. The smokers call them Moses, Heron Brown and baby roaches. Got your beno like scoliosis watching Tiapo at the open. That's the only back and forth that I'm posting. I saw some people feel away about Clue being on here. What? What say that? Why is Clue on here? They don't understand they. They don't even. That's a good point. They don't get it. They don't even know what that means. It's a field. I have clue on it. It's a certain field, a certain era. That fan turns ugly when hip hop doesn't acknowledge them. That fan like when you say that I would think. I would think. Well okay. They do have to be accounted for. Those people that we're not outside, not alive.
Melissa Ford
Do your homework.
Joe Budden
And we gotta stop doing that again. If niggas don't do homework, they're not doing cool. But then you can't. But then you can't.
Melissa Ford
Can't complain.
Joe Budden
You can't be mad at that wise Clue on. I agree. Because you don't understand them that okay they become hostile.
Melissa Ford
They're the same that think that a thumbs up emoji is hostile. Like get the over it and do your homework. You know what I'm saying?
Joe Budden
They could never do the homework though. Because that's why you stay that don't exist on. That's why you not even that not. You can go find all the Clue tapes. Yeah, it's the same thing I said when we had these generational arguments. It's not going to hit you the same. You're right. You were not. You had to be. You had to be just wasn't there. I don't care about that. Inside, outside, be there. Because when that dropped. It's just different people of a certain age. And I'll speak for myself on this. With all due respect to what Drama did with Tyler and what Capri did for Kendrick, this is to me the pent ultimate. But for me, Clue tapes were like that was my prime years exactly. Yeah, that shit hits a little different for me than. And see, I like that the city and kids are trying to wipe away Clue's legacy because of Drama and Khaled. That's unfair. But it's partially Clue's fault because he just didn't really stay active in the same way as far as mixtapes and stuff like that. You can't take away his legacy. You can never take away his legacy. It still ain't his fault if his legacy is this year to this year. Nobody can still fuck with that. No one will ever look at him Clue for me but I wish that he was more active. Mixed DJs wasn't even doing albums. I wish he was more active so people couldn't play with his name like that. That yo changed the world and and then got to go switch up for whatever Reason, Right. Like, Clue might have been the first to have to. Really? Well, Dr. Went to jail over this, but Clue at the time had to deal with saying them saying, well, yeah, outside of the whole him and Biggie, but when they were saying, yo, get these tapes out here. You can't do this no more. Clue might have been the first one hit. The biggest, baddest, just the most. He was the one losing it all. Maybe the second, I guess, because Flex had the mixtapes. He was the first one mixtape DJ to have an official album release. Professional. Yeah, professional. Although funk. Flex had his vibe. Yeah. But he wasn't really as much of a mixtape DJ to me. In the same way, he's more of a radio. Yeah. Club dj. Yeah, too. Yeah. So then, okay then. All right. The mixtape is dry. I'm about to go get a record deal. I. I'll go do it that way. All right. That shit ain't working. I'm at radio with it now. Right? Like, Clue is done. Don't get me started. I get mad when talk bad about Clue. I do. I just chalk it up to just niggas not knowing no better. But I appreciate these Virginia niggas for doing this same. That speaks to their intent of who this was created for. And it speaks to how trash y' all been in New York that nobody. I'm putting that on you. New York too. Not really. Pop smoke, rest in peace. Because I feel like if he was alive, he'd have been to that. Like Steven Victor. It don't surprise me that Steven Victor is around for some of these decisions, but somebody in New York should have been. I called Clue one time like, yo, let me get your at. Yeah, all them ad libs. Let me just load them up. Let me just load them up and keep that going. He's like, nah, man, get out of here. I'm dead ass. Let me see there, Anna. Why change the game anyway? Shout out to Clue. Clue and bag fe I a like that y' all did. Where else were we? I don't care. I ain't got nothing to talk about. Sit here and just talk. Where were we? Where were we? Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Parks wanted to get to this. I remember late nights, pissy hallways dropping me. Psycho stupid. Yo, all of these insanity. I don't know what they mixing on or what how Pharrell's making this. This album had that. That. This album sounded super. A different type of clean, like Donda clean. Eminem album. Drake clean like. Like that. Drake clean. Pharrell usually sound that level of clean, though. Not for nothing. Maybe I ain't heard it in a while. Yeah, most of the stuff that he's been doing as of late is more auto tuney kind of the rapper. And not just that. The way Clips wraps, super clean, super clean, super clean. So when you mix that with the clean Pharrell production engineered and mixed, the way it's mixed, it's going to sound. And the way that they even talked about the way that they picked out beats was more sparse to let them shine. So that's always going to lead to a cleaner sounding record mix wise. If there's not in the beat, it's easy to make it banging and click. If this thing. If the clips ain't mixed right, it'll be easy to think that these niggas is from Brooklyn somewhere. Like you just wouldn't know the beats of New York. The rhymes are rhymes. If you go to the Mike Tyson blows in the face. That sounds like a Biggie record. Yeah, this is yo, this. These are 90s beats. These are all of them. And I will go to that next. I remember late nights pissy hallways driving me psycho the money, money wouldn't come fast enough we was back and forth downstream line moving weight was like lipo the rest of y' all stuck in the rut Double crossing talk behind your back See that's where the night go I guess they wasn't with us. That is hard. Stove cooked that hook. Oh, my God. Stove went off. I really enjoyed all of the features on this AB Lava. It's always good to hear him back with when they get together again. Like y' all said, it sounded like Re up gang. I'm back to the Inglorious Bastards record. But important to the integrity piece of this like. Or them the niggas I was rhyming with. I'm rhyming with still. Yeah, I'm close with these people still or it Mike Tyson. No confessions questions we contesting Fireworks will send a message. They even. I love even the way. This is some mixed nerd. But they put like the Deesser, which gets rid of high frequency and a vocalist to make it sound harsh. Yeah, gets rid of. But they hit that a little hard. It makes them sound even more like Biggie. Yeah, no confessions questions we contest. You see what I'm saying? Like it sounds like you get that a little bit. Hatch a door when we address them we gonna bless em Tried to bring em should have left em Learn my lesson no expression ice dressing on my chest and Leave impression what's a testarosa if you don't test them Ain't your bitch unless you Joyce and dress em My presence, your pleasure peasants Wu Tang shit I wanna hear get you fronted for the summer so easy there's no alone Fill up a mobile home My nigga's name black like it's like big on long kids Good night. That was the original one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. God damn. Who shine more on this album? Pharrell or Clips? O Clips. Malice, I think, was the star of the show for me. And I'm with you on that. Yeah, I, I, I'm Couldn't agree more with that. I gotta say. Pharrell. Sean, I was about to say. I ain't hear the whole. But I think Mallet, I think people are saying malice shine more because they haven't heard him in the morning. Hurdle. Yeah, that's fair. You know what I mean? So it's like you get the benefit of, oh, what are you gonna do? And you took a hiatus. Yeah. So you could easily come back and have lost the step. That's fair. So he's getting like a not saying anything bad about his verses because he absolutely smoked it. But in all the conversation I'm seeing, people are, excuse me, overlooking Pusha, because we just haven't heard malice in so long. That's true. And Push cooked too. And they both cooked the marriage of all three of them, I think, for Pharrell. Absolutely. Given what we've seen. Pharrell, we came up here, McKiller, Pharrell. We were questioning if he was falling off. Yeah. We were like, yo, go find Chad. Like, all kind of things about Pharrell, for him to do this top to bottom on this album, I gotta say, he shined. Yeah, he was crazy. I'm not gonna say that. And, boy, did he show his ass on this project. But even if you did, you did that. That inspired by whatever they were giving you in that studio, like we talked about on. On Patreon and that. Hold up a minute. And that point that you make, I think makes it tougher for Malice. I don't think it makes it easier. That's true. Yeah. He's been going way. I can't disappoint. I can't disappoint. Like, internally, that shit's got to be hard on you. I agree with that. But. But I think I've been going on some man of faith, holy crisis type shit. I don't even know if the hip hop audience today is about to receive some of this Gospel, the way that I've been on it. Push has been. He hasn't stopped killing. He hasn't. Pharrell has the namesake, so he could afford to have a year of bad beats, two years a bad beat. He's still Pharrell. You coming in here as the unknown next to Killers, Assassins, and Hall of fame. You in hall of. He's a hall of famer. Yeah, but see, and you gotta remember, there's a rap. If there's a music rap hall of fame, they in it. Push is in there, and Pharrell is in there for sure. Two. Two things. One, this ain't. This album ain't for those who don't know. So I'm. I'm putting all of them to the side that, like, again, we pointed out with the clue with a bunch of other things that's. That's not for them. Okay? So everybody who's in the know been a conversation that Malice was the best rapper out of the clips anyway. Back in the day. Back in the day. Back in the day. Back in the day. That's what got you threatened. Be careful. I know I am treading like you think because he cool with Push now, he could say this. Watch yourself. I'll catch another verse. I'm cool. But I know, and I've said this up here to y'. All. Malice has been rapping. I know everybody didn't hear it, but those who have heard it, oh, this ain't missed a step. And I'm talking about 20. 20, 2022, 2023. That was a verse here and there. Yeah. So when you do that, it's like, okay, you still got it. We say Andre 3000 pops out with a verse and be like, yo, oh, yeah, he's still him. He's still him. Yeah. But do that over a course of an album is a different ball game. Doing that in the NBA, he doing that in the league. This is the league. Yeah. This ain't whatever the Malice was doing. If you come out in the summer league and give 45. Like, yo, he said, I'm doing a verse on Push's album, which was critically acclaimed. And a lot of people even on that verse is like, yo, he stole the show. When Malice pop out. He's been popping out. Yeah, he did. He killed every. But listen, you know, because you made. Because you may have some points here. I'm not really trying to debate it. Even off the music, right? Like Malice, like I said, been on some church. Now you under the lights of Louis Vuitton fashion Runway. You got these walking by your session. See, we only know Pusha T. Well, most people know Pusha T to be on bullshit. Since Exodus and beyond. Malice is the one that looked like always been. But we are grown now, like we adults. Like, Malice is. I had to look his age up. Cause he looks so good. Like, his skin and all that shit. 48, 52. Shit black. Don't cry you.
Melissa Ford
No, I mean, I know, but. No, I thought.
Joe Budden
No, you halfway.
Melissa Ford
No, I thought that they said it up here that they were just like a year apart.
Joe Budden
Oh, did they say that?
Melissa Ford
I thought so. I thought that.
Joe Budden
Boys, I don't want to blow nobody agent. But it's on Google. No, it's on Google. It's on Google. It's on Google.
Melissa Ford
My mistake. Yeah, I thought it was 47.
Joe Budden
47. I think they're four years apart. I'm just saying, you know, the older brother is the give a fuck about none of this shit. So even watching him perform, like, he had to. It's almost like momento. He had to relearn. Even if you knew how to do this stuff, he's the one that has to relearn. Push is up there smiling. I'm with my family. I'm with Steve. This is a blast for Push. And, like, he sat here and said, my workload has decreased. My brother's here. So, yeah, awesome. Malice, I think overall on mic and off mic had to adjust to. And it's a new game now. Yeah, it's a new game and it's a new. This ain't the game when you were running around before. It's not that simple. He don't even understand what they telling them they gotta do. Like, in the team meeting. All right. When they reading the schedule? Yo, Tuesday we got this. Wednesday we got. He like, yo, who where? What is this stuff? Right? Why not?
Melissa Ford
When he took his sabbatical, like, did he put out like. Like Christian music?
Joe Budden
Sort of. Yeah. Yeah, but it still always had the clipsness to it. Like, he was still relating it back to street life and like that.
Melissa Ford
So then he didn't really take a sabatical from, like.
Joe Budden
No, he did. His last solo album was over maybe 10 years ago. He put one project out. Put two. It was two. Oh, what else did y' all want to touch on here so far ahead? That's. That's we're gonna pray praise for We Got a Player so far, that's my record. We could close with this. I think this. I just think this is a phenomenal project. This is a Perfect way to end this album for diggers behind this sounds so good in the truck I can only imagine dog swerving through the lane serving if I was Britney GR I'm a need Obama Only one to swap his ch from the streets Monica Denise good with Rocco Put them in them cars Hanging out with stars now it's hard to tell they not hoes your co defendant claim immunity it was you and he How'd you not know? How'd you not know? How'd you not want to meet you on a yacht though Understand the audible all my niggas draw so we all Picassos Me just being me Respect the PNB I probably never eat at Roscoe's Million ways to live million ways to die yo, and let me just say the way both of them through this album started the verse with a rhyme and continued that rhyme for the entire verse. They smoked how they both did that? The rhyme pattern. Yes. Yeah. Like even what he's doing right here. But they both did this brilliantly. They might be the best mid tempo rappers out. I don't know if there's another rap out where you throw the mid tempo on that's gonna do what these two two do. I think that's. Yeah, yeah. Think about it. They're up there for sure. Million ways to live Million ways to die Million ways to washing Million ways I didn't mean this was the mid. This is hard to do though. All of this is hard to do. But this tempo in particular. Cuz you don't want to. You could double time it. But then they're not really the double time dudes. And that's why they smoke that. Yeah. Because I would have got on here and tried to do some double time. Doing this slow, doing not double time without making it feel draggy is difficult. Yeah. I think they have some of the best. Their use of diction and enunciation. How can I just leave? What's the question? Whistleblowers left me no choice Ain't no referees up in heaven no mistaking me for the Reverend Usher in the money My confessions How your Pastor Whipple Rolls Royce that was me pre 9 11, yo and I ain't gonna hold you like we been knew all about Bush I have never heard so many church flips from Mali Joe. Yeah. Yeah. And they're hard. They are hard. Every one of them are hard. The ones in this verse might have been. These are the ones. This verse, to me, POV is the one for me. This was number two pov. Pov. Both of them. This Is number one. Both of them on POV is for some of the verse of the year candidates for me. Look at me Post Armageddon Walking with my dog I am legend the grass is greener Come on, man I ain't gonna hold you. Walking with my dog I am legend Both. Mason, Best. Mel, what do you think of this hip hop shit now? Now that you hear. No, I'm not trying to be funny. Seriously, now that you're listening to it.
Melissa Ford
You'Re not being funny.
Joe Budden
I swear to God.
Melissa Ford
Okay. This album is really. Is incredible. There's so many songs on it that I love. Inglorious Basterds and pov. And the first track about their parents. Yeah, yeah, they were right. They were right to not play it. Because when I was listening to it at home, like, it really was. It makes you very emotional.
Joe Budden
But they were right. We were playing it. I had to cut that motherfucker off.
Melissa Ford
No, I know. To not play the whole thing. That's what I'm saying. Because once I was listening to it on my own, it really does make you extremely emotional.
Joe Budden
That shit's hard. And we don't need to make you hard to listen to.
Melissa Ford
I mean, it's.
Joe Budden
How do you open? I love it. That was my only like, bro, what are you doing? I love it. It humanized him. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I get it. It's just. It humanized. That was heavy for track one. And you know what? Why else? I'm giving it to Madness Damn Glazing now, but I don't give a. On a lot of these songs, he came after push. Yeah. So to do what he did, even on the opening song, what did he. After you hear that Push verse for him to come on Malice and. And say Pop was chivalry and dirty came. Make sure you didn't go alone. Yeah. But even the way papa's making sure he had all the bases covered. And you were shocked when you found bass up in his cupboard. Nigga, he's going nuts on this album. And it was just a pleasant surprise to me. I just expect Push to be Push back to that boy. That other boy. The way they did that. That, you know, push verse was about the mom. And then he just crept right in and started talking about the pops. It's. Damn. They told the story. Yeah, it did tell the story.
Melissa Ford
It did. You can see it. Yeah, you can see it. It really. It was excellent storytelling, and it was just. It was really profound.
Joe Budden
And you got Stevie Wonder coming.
Melissa Ford
That what the Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, like, It's nuts.
Joe Budden
And they're not like, overtly Stevie Wonder and Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz. That's what I love about it, too. Like, it's just some cool guitar silence. But then you're like, oh, now that you said that, though, that guitar does have a little Krabby. It's not like a lot of people get the Lenny Kravitz feature of the Stevie Wonder feature. And it would be, like, on the hook and it would be, like, mad obvious. Or it would be a flip of the Lenny Kravitz record. Start going on the solo at the end. You wouldn't have no idea. Unless you look at the car credits or hear them talk about it. I like. I think that's super fly. Because then when you hear it, it's like, oh, yeah, I do sound like Stevie. I didn't think about that again. Back to being respected. Yeah. And how you carry it. It's a stunt, too. Stevie, Stevie, come play on this. No, you're not going in the feature. And Stevie come just to do it. Yeah. We couldn't get Steve. I don't need you to sing. I just need to add. There's already a piano there. But do a little piano piece of. And then you got something to say. Something. And this is. This is just Black Cookout community. Everybody helped Quincy and We Are the World. Hey, Mike, get over here and help Rod Stewart write this track. Hey, Rod Stewart is thinking it up. Hey, somebody come get Cyndi Lauper. Help with this. Cause she ain't here on crack while I'm trying to get the song done. Yeah.
Melissa Ford
Oh, man.
Joe Budden
So, yeah, a studio session where you just.
Melissa Ford
It was. It was Huey. Huey Lewis. Not Rod Stewart.
Joe Budden
Bruce Springsteen. Bruce. Princeton was sticking it up. I would have liked to be in that session. That session looked like so much fun. Absolutely. Michael. Michael was pissed. Hollering. Yeah. Michael said Mike was so pissed, he bought everybody publishing. I got a trick. I got a trick for y'.
Melissa Ford
All.
Joe Budden
Y' all won't be active for too long. Oh, Lord, that's funny. I'm done. Glazing. Shout out to the clips. Shout out to the clips. For sure. Shout out to clips. Come on, man. Podcast glazing Hip hop and R and B. Hey, man, I know what time it is. Back to people crafting albums. Yeah. With intention. Only for a weekend. No, we're not back. No, no, no, no. I'm saying we. You could call it glazing, but this is what you get when you put it all into an album. And you present the right way. Yeah. Let's get back. They deserve this praise. I agree. Let's get back. Let's not. Stop treating music like a Instagram post. They might be influential. Stop treating the DSPs like it's a social media page. Yes. Yeah. Stop just putting some in your story and think forgetting about it by next week. No. Make us care about the. Make it look fly, make it sound fly. Be intentional about all aspects of the. Yes. Do the little things like they're big things. Right. Focus on the small things like the big things. Right. And. And that's what they did. Like, you could tell they were excited to speak to all the people that they spoke to. And if you. If you spend so much time on your album. A year, a year and a half, two years. Killer Mike came up here before he won his Grammy, told us that he drained the accounts, had to have a long talk with his wife, pay dividends. But when you're doing that, like you. You run some risk. Yeah. So if you run into all these risks, creating this amazing music, this. This gospel, then be intentional about how you. Like park said, give it to the world, how you serve it. Don't these go out there. They put an album out. Y' all work a record, that record didn't work, and now you're done. Right. Or that record worked, now you put your second record out, that record didn't work, so now you're done. The label won't reforecast you no more money, so now you done. No, you get out there. Just cause they killed the street team don't mean that you not your street team. Right? Facts. Just cause they killed ars don't mean you can't call up some niggas that know good music behind the scenes. R and B and rap. Niggas send me shit all the time. Hey, Joe, just lay ears on this. What you think? Do your own A R work your. For a year, year and a half, like the Pussycat Dolls had to do before they. Hey, never mind. Never mind. They figured out a way to. They figured out a way. Hey, we ain't gonna keep doing this. Put that name to good use. Call us the Pussycat Dolls for nothing. Oh, man. And now it's time for our favorite part of the show. Psych. Psych. I lied. Ish. You had a white lady in your pocket. I was sitting here in your pocket. From up here, I could see everything. And it was a white lady in your pocket. Can I see who it is, please? It's a thing. I went to the White show thing.
Melissa Ford
I went to the thing.
Joe Budden
You can't show anything, but just tell us. Wait, wait, wait. Let me see the other side. It's a spa spa where you get the foot detox and sauna and all that shit. Let me see how you book your appointment with the. It's a spa, y'. All. What you call us? Ish. Let me see the other side though. I'll show it to you. I don't want to put the people shit on. Oh, got you, got you. Oh, you don't want to promote them. I'm so slow, yo. As I age, I'm getting slower and slower. So my apologies, audience, my mention. Help me Ish, who is happily married or involved in mad long yesterday and works on his feet. No, no, no. He got it. You're asking me to help you. Go ahead. But that was. Yeah, jokes. Yeah, yeah. Help me was like, shut up. So Ish, who is in a long term relationship and works on his feet because I'm riding for my. Today y' all playing wimp ladders and you know, ladders. The stupid construction boots. Yeah, the steel toe shits. Like, he does have a reason to hit rehab. So this is from the spa because you went to the spa that does the foot detoxes in the first room. And then if you're lucky enough stuff, they have that other back room that when you finish with your foot detox, you go get that dick detox. You gonna get that. Clean him out. They do the dick detox in the back. You get all of it. They do the. You get the exterior and interior car wash. Then you go. Then you buy the pine tree, the new car scent, Black ice. You gotta go in the back. That's normally by the register at the end of the process. The car get clean first. But then at the end you need this too. Get that, Simon? Yeah, yeah. So how would. How was your foot detox? That's cool. That's dope. You sure you feel detox were you like how you feel when you walked out? And do they do couple detox like you want? Yeah, they do. They do. But you went alone. Yeah, I went by myself. You should have bring your ladies. Her feet hurt. No, she don't. No, her foot is white and beautiful. Her foot. Her foot is your cocaine wipe. Her foot is fine. Got her. Go out there and build some shit. Hey, go build us a deck to the bedroom on the second floor. You. Hey, you know what? I went to sleep last night. I thought that we should have an extra hallway too. And that first half bath feeling kind of small. Expand that, take that wall out. Hey. While your foot detached, toxic. Hey, build out. Build out some. Oh, man. Man. What's up?
Melissa Ford
Nothing. It's a beautiful day outside. You don't want to let me go early.
Joe Budden
Why? If you tell me why, I will. You know, I show you so much favoritism up here. Just not on air. Just not on air.
Melissa Ford
Okay. Well, you can show it to me now. I want to go to the pool downstairs. Damn, that is looking nice.
Joe Budden
Yo, I ain't gonna lie. Hold on. That might be the illest shit ever set up here. I want to leave here and stay here and stay here and stay so I can go to the pool.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, I'm sure Manny's home. I'll knock on the door. You know he's always fucking home and down to go to the pool.
Joe Budden
Yeah, he there right now. Oh, and I saw your little home girl the other day, too. She's a pretty girl.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, she is.
Joe Budden
She's beautiful.
Melissa Ford
Yeah. So I'm starting to collect friends in this building. Building?
Joe Budden
Well, you do that everywhere you go.
Melissa Ford
I know I do.
Joe Budden
That's fire. What? Just the option that you can do that. Collect friends with that, too. You collect friends. Let me just go downstairs real quick, dip in the pool. Tempting. Every time you say something during the time. Yeah, yeah. Just. Just let it go. They don't know we know. He don't respect the temptation, David. Cuz I would think that y' all would get over it at this point. Never. Never. Wait, us? Oh, we was mature. We a boy. Oh, my God. Yo, Flip, you me up, man. I walked in and only Flip could tell when I got something wrong with me. Yo, he's like, yo, you all right? You feel down? And I was trying to hide it, but this side of me, I can't even lie, y'. All. I don't feel right today, man. What happened? T levels low? They good? They might. They normal. Normal might be something. Chill out. I found out that ex of mine is pregnant, man. Yo, you good? Wait, you. It's America. That's Flip. Flip is such. He's a child, though. Yo, That's America. He shouldn't have got exposed, the OG I told Ian when he ruined the show and brought him. I told him the OG Shut the OG Fuck up. We do not need to bring him back. He's rambunctious. Yeah, I saw it today. We ain't been together for a little minute, but I saw it today, and I didn't think it was gonna bother me. But it kind of bothered me, man. Why? It's my ex. You want his answer or you want my three word answer? You are what? Well, four cause counts. Cause you are six words. What's two short favorite words. Why you gotta say it like short? Hell no. I ain't gonna lie like that. You niggas be bitches up here, man. It's all right. I mean, that's fine. You have to respect the call, right? The call you respect. Okay, yeah. The day. Yo, before you see me outside, I respect that. But before you see me anywhere else or before I post it, I wanna let you know I'm pregnant. That I'm pregnant. How recent of ex I was about. Yeah. How close? Cause that matters. Recent. What, like a year and a half? Two years? Like a little two? Maybe two. Close to two years. Son, you shouldn't care about that. Yeah, I should be over that. See, you should care if she have a baby. You didn't want a baby with her. Well, no, but it's just I ain't think she look good still, right? She looking good still hilt. Yeah, she wearing sundresses and got that summer glow. Especially. Especially if you bought her the mean, right? And she got the pregnant titties too, right? Now he bought her something too, huh? Pregnant titties. Hey, yo, if you bought her something, should you get it back what they bought? No, no, no. What? See, that's why I'm you up. Because I'm talking about good pregnant titties and you come out and sleep some. I like pregnant giver. Well, you can't say that. No. What's the proper term? White thief, Columbus. How about say something much worse? Oh my God. A what? Freeze. Okay, well, now it's time for my favorite part of the show. Prize fix. All right, let me tell you about it. Prizepix is the best place to turn your sports knowledge into real cash money. With millions of members, Prize Picks has made daily fantasy sports accessible to all. Really easy and simple to play. So good luck to all participants out there and, and run your game. And Mel, listen, don't listen to these people because I would totally let you go right now and go downstairs to the pool. Ain't too many topics on on the board. We got enough hosts to handle all that. That, however, I think legally and contractually, you being downstairs, that's not more than a thousand feet, right? So you being downstairs in that type of provocative wear, oh, that would violate work. That boy good, that boy bad. That boy, that boy bad would read away in the suit. And it's against its power dynamics. That's true. It's a lot at play that women benefit from up until they can't do some. So, I mean, it's tough. That's a good one. So, Ted, what do you say? That shit, right? You gonna hold it down?
Melissa Ford
Kind of sort of. That.
Joe Budden
Cause you gonna hold us down.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But let me come up with another. Give me about five minutes.
Joe Budden
What do we have? What do we have? What do we have? What do we have? Well, we have your man writing on writing that the Eclipse interview was better without flip. Who said that? Your man's out. Yeah, and I don't like it. It's up for him. I don't like what he wrote. He shouldn't have tagged my name or write that about me. But he tagged you. Didn't tag me. He didn't tag me. But don't write that. Don't write about me. How you see it if he ain't tag you? No, I saw a lot of mentions. People were tagging me like, look at this, look at this, look at this. And I looked. He like, yo, the clips interview was without Flip. Fire, mad fire emojis. He with you though? Yeah, with you. But what's the problem with that. Our clips interview was really good. Like, I'm happy about that because they did a lot of interviews. They did a lot of interviews, and we had that classic. Well, not we, but this podcast had a classic with him at one point. So there was some pressure on the interview. I'm glad that people are enjoying it. I'm glad they stopped by. Thank you, Ian. Thank you. Freeze. Whoever played a part in that. You can't sing. Don't single me out because you think I'm a herb. You can't just single me out. Yo, without flip, you supposed to like, yo, it's a fire interview. Salute. Yeah, I am. Hey, if somebody cool with you off the strip for you, they supposed to be respectful to everybody else up here. Because now they put everybody in their position. Everybody don't view respect the same. All right. Well, not me neither. Respect is relative. It is. It is. It is. I am emotional. You notice that's the third time somebody up here saying that. Let's go. Notice that. Saying what? That sentiments. I think, yo, we just got. We are emotional. We just gotta accept it. But when you watch it back in the moments of you being emotional, it look nasty. We look trash. It's funny being an emotional podcaster, because sometimes it's fruitful. It is. Sometimes it's fruitful. That's true. And sometimes it's not. So you gotta learn how to it go. Hold up now. 40 it up, 40 it up. Out there. You in your girl out there. You with your girl right now. Let me hear you sing that shit white. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Oh, my Lord. It ain't gonna never be a time as long as I'm on earth with that song. Come on. And I don't stop what I'm doing and get to singing and praising Jesus. Hallelujah. Without him, none of this is possible. None of this is possible. Yeah, yeah, I'm with you. Most of y' all up here is. You said watch it for. Watch your.
Melissa Ford
Most of y' all up here is.
Joe Budden
But I'm not excluding myself. Sometimes I get bitches. Don't say us, then. Don't say y'. All. My bitchy is in invert. You guys is outburst. Outward is still not. Not true. And you think yours is. Yours is outward. Yeah, it is. Be ours. No, it's not. No, that's. It is. We all sitting here telling you that. I know. But none of y' all even know what it means. So tell me what I mean by that. And if you write, then I'll just tell you and I'll say, you're right. I'm wrong. We say when we talking about outward, as in we can see it. It looks out of it. All right, so. That's not what I'm saying. You're not keeping it in. Okay, that's not what I'm saying. It's just screaming at us, flying out, jumping out. That ain't what I'm saying. You're saying talk about it. You told me. Bring it up. I'm saying if I'm bitchy or being a bitch, it's coming from inside of me, not dictated by outside forces. I just am on this right now. Yalls bitch is, like, reactionary. You're responding as a bitch. I'm starting today on some. Hey, fuck you, niggas. You just respond to shit that ain't like. All right, Zaire tweeted something, and. And let's take emotions out of it for a second. Yeah, what you gonna do about it as a man? What do you mean? See now, bitch, he's gonna address it. No, no, no. He's gonna address it. What you mean to me? To whoever. When he come back up, y'. All. But to me first. Cause we up here. But when he comes back up here, she's a. Oh, so you said keep it in. I got him. I got him. You're correct. Correct. You're correct because you don't want to be put in a position, don't need to be an intermediary. What's the word? An intermediary. Nobody wants you to be an intermediary. Whatever that word is. The problem is I don't want to be. I don't want to be a conduit. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Nobody wants you to be a conduit. That's not the point. You see, you have to articulate what it said. Yo, your man wrote this. It's up for him, period. You could say, okay, that's between y', all. Like you said. You don't have said that. But I ain't telling him. I'mma tell him. I tw I wrote.
Melissa Ford
And.
Joe Budden
And so listen, but hold on for a minute. But if you angry. But if you angry, how angry are you on scale of 1 to 10? 4. Yeah, bring it down. 7. Call that nigga right now. There you go. That's what I mean about you. Bring them now. Four sounds appropriate. Call him right now. You want me to call him? I'm calling him. That's good. Yeah, Call that nigga right now. We Ain't doing you, though.
Melissa Ford
It's going to be entertaining.
Joe Budden
Y' all ain't writing on the board.
Melissa Ford
You want to borrow my headphones?
Joe Budden
No. Yo, she want to leave so bad. You can sit here. I'll call him. Let me call him real quick, see if the answers. He might be training. He'll call back. See, that's your problem. Y' all be having problems with that train, yo. Oh, hello. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. What's that tweet? What's that tweet about? Hold up, hold up. Don't jump the gun when I call a friend on my phone. Nigga, I'm calling one of my friends. I don't give a fuck who I ride for more than you. I mean. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Yo, listen. No, listen. We're on air, so don't say nothing crazy. But you tweeted something. It's making my workday hostile. Cause now Flip is ready to set it on me. He told me to call you immediately, so that's what I did. What Flip mad at me about. That's what I could tell you why you wrote on Twitter the clips interview fire without Flip. That's what I said. Yeah, nigga, look at. Let's laughing. You laughing at. Did you listen to the interview with me? Nah, nah. But why do you think you. Hold on, hold on. First of all, why you think you could single me out? That's number one. Do you. The second of all, I don't play with you like that, nigga. So a Zaire. So that's when I told him that if you angry enough, do something. Do something to the nigga that picked Derrick Henry up at the one yard line and slammed him on his muffin top. And then it got a little quiet, which I understood. Never. I need the to understand. I got. I got more bodies out here than Derek Henry. That's what. But. But all I'm saying is if Flip is confused about something, you could help him gain understanding. Stop playing like when. When Z see you if you still confused a little bit about why he tweeted, what the he felt like. Any proof read it. I'm not such a phony. Messy. He proof read it first. I put it in the draft first. That's what I'm saying. You were so comfortable with it. Like it was in the drafts, chilling and then you tweeted. So if you still confused. I'm not confused. At my birthday dinner. Yeah, maybe he could help you gain understanding. We lit. All right. So that's what it so Say the more it's up. I said it's up. It's up. It's up. It's up with you, Z. I don't like this. I just missed the guys. I'm supposed to be in New York this week. I'm supposed to. So why you ain't come to New York and say it here? I can respond. I ain't seen you since you did all that Jay Z you was posting. Here you go. I ain't seen you since you was all up with Tata. And I'm in the background not being acknowledged. He chose up. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm a jealous friend. No, hey, I'm with you. You know, I know what time it is. Get to it. Get to it. I might be your biggest supporter in the world. They can set for football ball season. I'm glad you're doing all right, though. We miss you. I'm going send you the invite for my birthday dinner. Man, it's. It's different this year. I'm doing the truck I want to do. I ain't let wifey run. Wifey ain't running this year, Z. Okay. Your word is not mine. So that's. Oh, I texted to you. I forgot. I mean, I texted to you. No, it's turned up. Yeah, for sure. Let me know. Send it out. All right. Say less. Peace. All right, y'. All. All right, bro. Stand on what I say. That's what you call. That's what you call stand up. Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. Are y' all crazy? What y. What you about to do? Are you. Y know? Hey, yo, dog, do you know me? Let me one of them. It's up. Did you not hear me say that wasn't really got you back. That wasn't on stand, though. What do you want me to say? But what are your expectations of the rest of us if we're there? Nothing. All right, I'm have a conversation. I don't want y' all to do nothing. Thank God. I stand on what I stand on. I'm Queens, Flip. So if you hemmed up, just. He ain't going. You know what, though? There's certain people that should be allowed to get that off now. Now that I'm thinking about it. Z been up here enough. He should be able to get that off like he should be able to. Had a party on the Network. Been here 95. My conversation was chop cheese with. I like Zaire. My conversation with him. You can't beat him, so it don't matter how you feel about I could do whatever I want. Stop doing that. Say something else. Yeah, I can do whatever I want. My thing with Zaire is I have a four words. You know, it's always love when I see you. So you writing that and getting people involved. So I don't like it. So I'm in closing. I didn't take the tweet as Ziya not loving you. So. So why put. Why you ain't put his name? I don't. Don't put me in this. You ain't going to say nothing. Put me in this. A lot of you don't, Don't. Don't tell me nothing. I don't tell you nothing. A lot of that be done and you be dentist. Yeah. I ain't going to lie. We got to have a whole summer where we stop being emotional. We got to stop being emotional for the summer. I'mma start. You the most emotional I know. I'mma try to start first. You the most emotional. I'mma start first. This is crazy. All right now, Mel.
Melissa Ford
Yes.
Joe Budden
She want to go home. Try to save you as long as I possibly could because we've been having a good time. And I know that one of the topics that Ish wrote on the board in big giant letters with exclamation points 3 not only may be triggering, but it's a sensitive topic. What's issues? Walk up music like if he was a wrestler. Throw it in the bag. The original. Wait, what was that? We just did this last Fancy, Fancy numbers. Oh, yeah, He a about to put up numbers. No, I'm not chilling. This is his.
Melissa Ford
You don't have any, like, exclamation.
Joe Budden
I've never seen any exclamation points. Ice pause. What I got to do with that? Yo, this being your theme music is sick. All right, y', all, there you go. Clear out. Get your oven's ready. It's not. Uhoh. Hey, yo, you got to ask. That is. Put hoodie on. Put that on right now. You got it. That's. That is coffee mug. Put that. Put some coffee or tea in that right now. We turning up on this next topic. Muffins cook on this next topic. Look at this. All right, listen, let's get right to it, man. Enough is enough. Dr. Cheyenne Bryant was on the Hot and Bothered podcast. And then on one of our Patreon episodes, we discussed Dr. Cheyenne Bryant being on Hot and Bothered. And it was a good conversation, but one of the things I said was, we just don't know enough about this young lady. She Popped up. She's doing her shit. She's doing content creation. She's on tv, she's on reality shows. She's on in all of our black content spaces. But let's just learn more about her is all. So not even two weeks later, she is on with Paul Pierce and his co host who I love. She's coming here. She's coming here sometime soon too. I asked absolutely adore her. And they had an interesting conversation about what I think is some of the same. So if you'd like to hear it, here to go. So you was his work. This is about you. You flipped the script on us. We over here, we need to find out about what's going on. What's going on with her. She dating, single. What the. Wow. What do I tell for a 4A 42 year old?
Melissa Ford
I'm dating.
Joe Budden
Dating, but single.
Melissa Ford
Enjoying my life. I have really good companions.
Joe Budden
How many are you dating right now?
Melissa Ford
I'm not exclusively committed to anyone.
Joe Budden
Oh, okay.
Melissa Ford
I have one guy that I have dated off and on for five years.
Joe Budden
A lot of words. You've been his work. You steal his work. Oh my God. I know, I know what's going on now. Okay, yeah, no, we going take this.
Melissa Ford
Sheep clothing off the whip teeth coming out. No, we have somebody's work for five years. We have been each other's companion for five years. And yeah, I have spent the block for five years and I. Oh, it's the truth.
Joe Budden
And yeah, I'll pause it there for a second. That was our first revelation from this. And let me start this with. I don't typically agree with Paul Pierce's interview style. This was good though. No, he, he, this was great. This was good. This is exactly what the moment called for was his interview style. I agree and I do like Paul Pierce when he's by itself and not by itself, but just talking without a distinguished panel.
Melissa Ford
That's the first time I've ever heard her sound like she's lost her footing. That's the first time I've ever heard that. She speaks with so much, you know, conviction and chutzpah and just like, just very direct. And she, she's thought out what she says. She, she doesn't stutter. She doesn't do. That's the first time I've heard.
Joe Budden
When you're on the, when you're on the offense a lot with the topics that she, you know, has her opinion on and she doesn't leave any room for anybody to ask her these questions. She didn't think about that like she was so. It's rehearsed. She was so adamant or she knows the topics that she wants to address. Yes, she already has it set up already. And she forgot to address the topics about herself. No, nobody's ever pointed to that.
Melissa Ford
But you still.
Joe Budden
But you still. But you forgot to set up the play about yourself to have the proper answers. Cause no one asks you about that because you're making it a about the person you're interviewing.
Melissa Ford
But I'm surprised that she wouldn't have been prepared for that line of questioning because another line of questioning that she gets a lot is her credentials or, you know, whatever.
Joe Budden
Credentials. Credentials and who you're dating right now, two different things. I'm a fan of experience more than I am credentials. Not to discredit credentials. But when I say who are you? I don't mean what school did you go to, what degree do you have, what frat you in? I don't mean all that front facing, present well, shit. I mean, who are you?
Melissa Ford
Yeah, no, I, I under that.
Joe Budden
Hold up a minute and pass and pass that. Hearing this revelation from her makes it more difficult for me to understand how she don't understand broken homes, having kids out, no toxic masculinity. All of it. No, all. I was about to go just down the gauntlet. Yeah, but all of it. Go ahead. She understands. It's just a mask. She understands. No, but if a man got on a public broadcast and said, yo, I have had some work for five years. Spin the block off and on. I spin the block from time to time, et cetera. You're not emotional. Mature enough. We ain't get there yet. No, no, please keep going.
Melissa Ford
He doesn't like it. He's absolutely correct. He feels like I haven't provided.
Joe Budden
Oh, he your work.
Melissa Ford
No one's. No one is. No, we working together. We working together.
Joe Budden
She slipped the jab. Try to. Or is he. He keeping you out?
Melissa Ford
He wants, he wants, he wants a relationship. He wants to be committed.
Joe Budden
It you just like the sex? No. Oh, let's keep it 100. How you keep somebody for five years, that's like for real. You can't keep nobody to the at a distance for five years. I ain't never done no like, I.
Melissa Ford
Am not vitamin D deficient.
Joe Budden
So every time he's slow walking the dog and yo, but that dog is outside. No, he. She trying to escape and he's hungry. That dog is outside, though. He's slow walking that dog. That dog is outside on a crack. That dog is in Greenwich Crowded, crowded neighborhood. It's a lot of. Lot of people on the street for a big, hungry dog. Cane Corso. Mel, you look disappointed listening to this.
Melissa Ford
No, I'm just. I'm taking it all in. I know there's about like 5 minutes and 30 seconds or like 5 minutes left, so I'm processing, but, yeah, I'm actually. I'm just. I'm surprised.
Joe Budden
In a second, I'll. Oh, I'm sorry. In a second, I'll forward to the. To Kurt Mortar. And we're not. Not gonna play the entire six minutes, but go ahead.
Melissa Ford
Yeah. And just. I mean, just to be clear about the whole credential conversation, this is something that she gets. It's a subject that gets broached a lot, so she has prepared answers like.
Joe Budden
What gives you the right to speak on relationships, et cetera?
Melissa Ford
And I agree with Joe. Sometimes, you know, a lot of times, lived experience is enough to speak on a subject. But barring that, I'm surprised that she did not have a prepared answer for this. Like, it's. I am very surprised. Very surprised. And I know about what she says later on, just because a girlfriend of mine heard it. And the exact words from my girlfriend was, I was such a big fan of hers until she said this, and I was like, wait, what happened? And then she told me about it. So this is literally my first time, like, actually hearing the dialogue between the two.
Joe Budden
I'll play a little more. She kept him on the side until she figured out if it's something better. I see where the stuff.
Melissa Ford
He just has some emotional maturity that he had to do. We're nine years apart. He's nine years younger than me, and so we. He's had to work through things, but he's had to work on his emotions and his. His intense insecurities around being in a relationship.
Joe Budden
You've been waiting on it like. Like, what's. What's the problem? Why y' all not together?
Melissa Ford
Just because of that. There's. He.
Joe Budden
So you waiting on that?
Melissa Ford
No, I'm not waiting on it.
Joe Budden
It.
Melissa Ford
And I don't have him waiting.
Joe Budden
He got her in the blender. Oh, I tell Spin cycle. I mean, that's. He doing a large work right now. But know what's funny about this? I'm trying to find a way to pause it. Oh, my God. Know what's funny about this? Look, for all that big cash money she be talking. She can't even see this at all. I think she. She. I think this is what I'm assuming. I think when she gets on most public stages. Most people have a certain level of reverence and respect that they not trying to. Yo, so the dick is good. She was like, what? She didn't think he was gonna say no shit like that. Most people not gonna. If Melissa goes on somebody's show, they don't like, man, when last time you got some good dick, like, people not gonna ask you that. So I think A blindsided her with some of the questions that he's asking and she wasn't prepared for it. Yeah, just on some hood booger shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she wasn't prepared for it.
Melissa Ford
I think that what happened. Cause I would want to question her. Like, what did you think was gonna happen when you went on Paul Pierce's fucking podcast?
Joe Budden
I think that's called. That's called the truth.
Melissa Ford
No, no, no, that's not what I'm saying. Yeah, exactly. I think that what she thought was gonna happen, and this is just my thinking, I think that it would have gone by way of her thinking. It would have gone on the same way that her. Her being on Cam Newton show and Nick Cannon show. She ran those interviews. She did, you know what I'm saying? And she came out smelling like roses out of them, and she. She kind of like, you know, mopped the floor with them a little bit, you know what I'm saying? Had everybody.
Joe Budden
I think it was.
Melissa Ford
It.
Joe Budden
It was perceived that way.
Melissa Ford
Yes.
Joe Budden
That she mopped the Florida.
Melissa Ford
Yes, yes, it was.
Joe Budden
But I don't think they took the angle that Paul is taking.
Melissa Ford
They did not.
Joe Budden
They do. They didn't get a chance.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, they were on defense.
Joe Budden
Paul's in control.
Melissa Ford
He's on offense.
Joe Budden
That's the difference.
Melissa Ford
They were on defense with her.
Joe Budden
You know, he ain't let her slip out of it either. And. And it's tough to do that. That shit she be doing with Paul Pierce, who's so unapologetically himself and in his views and he not looking for acceptance. He don't. I won't say he don't care about how he's handling her. But a lot of times in media today, we gotta kinda handle these situations with kid gloves. So the questions that you might want to ask or the statement that you might want to make, you not gonna ask in a public forum like, yo, the dick is good. Nobody's gonna ask that. I'm gonna play this clear. I wanna get to the part at the end. You know the part. Don't try to come with the suit jacket. See, he's saying what I was saying.
Melissa Ford
You know what I mean?
Joe Budden
He's saying a little more. Well, I'm just talking about with the suit jackets.
Melissa Ford
Small community in the city of Los.
Joe Budden
Angeles through all of that.
Melissa Ford
Yeah.
Joe Budden
I hate to. I hate to bring it back to being outside and what that means. Right. Even though I feel like this podcast is largely responsible for making that popular again. The term outside. All right, Outside means people saw you. No, people know. Yeah, I know what y' all hood represented. I was outside. I remember. Yo, dog, he's saying to her, hey, you from Long beach, right? And even her response to that was, I'm from a small community within such a. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You from Long Beach. I'm saying bitch, like you not understand. I'm not calling her a bitch, man. I'm saying like, I'm from Inglewood. I know people that know you from over there. Oh, you went to Mother Seaton. Yeah. Oh, I had a number to that phone. Yes, I know. I grew up with n from your hood. We talk today. Now, I know what you was on, but this is the nicest way Paul Pierce could say that. Yo, I know where you're from. I was there. I ain't the rest of them. Yeah, see, Cam see, nobody else could do that. Exactly. Cam couldn't do that. Nobody else was going to do that.
Melissa Ford
Yes, he, He's. Yes, he's. He has great qualities.
Joe Budden
I'm done with it. I want to get to the end now. I'm done. I'm done with it. With me.
Melissa Ford
He just emotionally asked is about his.
Joe Budden
Job and all that he does. Well, look. Yeah, word vomit, word salad. Too many words. Words. Shut up.
Melissa Ford
You're a man, so you answer this question.
Joe Budden
See, this is what she does. It's question time. Nah.
Melissa Ford
He goes back and forth from.
Joe Budden
I.
Melissa Ford
Love you, I want to be with you. I'm mad because you won't be with me. You won't commit to me. And then his insecurities get the best of them, and it's like, I want to you you. But I, I. I'm not sure if I deserve you. I'm not sure that I can facilitate you. I'm not sure that I can be with you. So when I say emotionally, I can't believe she did all this instability, it's.
Joe Budden
The most toxic is concrete.
Melissa Ford
That's not unstable. His emotions in the relationship are just unstable to where as a man, you got vertical within yourself before you can be in a relationship.
Joe Budden
Relationship. Okay, I'm pausing this. Yeah, he's going back and forth. I'M pausing this. I love you. I want to be with you. And now I'm mad that you won't want to be with me. But he's emotionally unstable. His emotional insecurity.
Melissa Ford
Why are you posting this?
Joe Budden
Ain't never set up that.
Melissa Ford
I want.
Joe Budden
You to do what you do. If A was saying that stuff. That's why I think get off Mel's back. I'm not. No, I. I want to hear your. I'm with Mel.
Melissa Ford
She sounds crazy.
Joe Budden
Oh, thank you.
Melissa Ford
Okay. Like, this did not do her any favors. I'm speaking just from what I'm listening to. Of course she sounds. She is contradicting so much of what she has been saying. Like, it's just. You can't get around it. I can't. It's indefensible. I like her. I think she's a lovely woman, but that shit sounds wild.
Joe Budden
This is what happens when you get the actual to go off script. That's. This is what. This is what happens.
Melissa Ford
Also, you know what else it is? You got to be very careful with how you handle your newfound popularity. You know what I'm saying? Everybody wanted to get her on their show. Everybody wanted a piece of her. Everybody. You're going to do a lot of talking, a lot of talking.
Joe Budden
And eventually what you're saying is why I had to check you on all of that shared experience that you was talking up here?
Melissa Ford
No, because.
Joe Budden
Because women like to get around each other and. Oh, I'm a. I got pussy. We got pussy.
Melissa Ford
No, no, no, no. Don't do that.
Joe Budden
Your plight and her plight may not be as. As linked as you think they are. As all.
Melissa Ford
When I. When I say that there's alignment, it could literally just be the. On. On two different parallels or subjects. That's it. She's her, I'm me. We have totally different walks of life completely. But there are some parallels that I just acknowledged. But that didn't mean that she is me and I am her and we are us. Not even a little bit.
Joe Budden
Okay.
Melissa Ford
So, you know, and also when it comes to doing interviews, I really try to kind of like find a lot of common ground with who I'm talking to. It makes your.
Joe Budden
You're great at that. That's why I kept you here. Away. She got so much in common with the clips.
Melissa Ford
I mean. I mean, she's hip hop.
Joe Budden
Yeah. She's in a mystical video. She sold drugs before and was about to jail and was a realtor, a dentist. Been a million different people. I ain't gonna hold you this little cosplaying here.
Melissa Ford
Anyway, keep going because I feel like.
Joe Budden
I want to get. There's just a line know, bro. We are doing great. My. Keep going. Keep going. Don't rush words. I am even that you good with them words. Because all these people advice.
Melissa Ford
Let me say this.
Joe Budden
Paul, he is.
Melissa Ford
He has every right to feel like what I've been doing as far as this is crazy.
Joe Budden
Why she bring back to him with.
Melissa Ford
Him when I want to and not is not something that gives him stability. However, I. I don't want to commit to a relationship with a man who I feel emotionally is not in a place of being able to be in a healthy relationship.
Joe Budden
So why are you messing with him? Why are you playing mental games?
Melissa Ford
I'm not playing mental games with him. It's not mental games.
Joe Budden
Why is it still sex evolved?
Melissa Ford
How do you know we sexing?
Joe Budden
Oh, see you from Long Beach. I know. There we go. God. There we go. God. I know what it is.
Melissa Ford
Say this. It is transparent. He understands. I understand. I understand what he wants. He understands why I don't want to commit at this moment with him. Which is the emotional piece that him and I talk about openly. I supp.
Joe Budden
I wish I could fast forward. No, this is a gaslight extraordinaire. She a JV gaslighter, though she ain't a professional. All right, let him off the lease. Go ahead.
Melissa Ford
That's what I'm doing.
Joe Budden
Yeah, that's exactly. Come here. See, Paul Pierce is a professional. Is a nickel. You could tell Paul said no, no, right there. That's the line. Oh, here we go. We at the line. We at the line. You got to come back. But got me on my seat. I'll hit the 10 second button. Now we here. I hit the 10 second button. Should I do 20? 20. Do 20 and be. I'll do 20. Let him cook. This is dead ass. All right, go.
Melissa Ford
Understand. I understand what he wants. He understands why I don't want to commit at this moment with him. Which is the emotional piece that him and I talk about openly. I support him in it. I hold space for him in it. He's, you know, we talked about intensively and he understands it. And he's.
Joe Budden
Come here.
Melissa Ford
That's.
Joe Budden
The be. Go ahead.
Melissa Ford
That's what I'm doing.
Joe Budden
Yeah, that's exactly. Come here. Come. Oh, you know what?
Melissa Ford
If that's what I'm doing, I'll say this and people gonna be mad. I'm okay if I'm doing what Paul said. I much rather be the one Walking you at the dog park than the one on the leash. 42. I'm not opt out. We are not opt out.
Joe Budden
Okay?
Melissa Ford
We have options. And we are not on the leash.
Joe Budden
I paused it. Ladies and gentlemen, let me. Let me hold you hold your thoughts. Ladies and gentlemen, Dr. Cheyenne Bryant and Dr. Paul Pierce. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you Professor Pierce P Squared. The truth. The truth. The truth. The truth. God got a sense of humor now I'm telling you, won't he do it? We gonna find out about Dr. Cheyenne Bryant from the truth. I think that line said it all. I think that that line be my beef with the women that you know that do that. Because buried underneath all that in the truth is jealousy of. It's like I want to be. I'm a now. I've been heard, I've been ran through, so I'm a. And all the do I understand it because I'm doing it. I have a diary adopted that. But I get to hide under the veil of I'm a woman. So you can't talk about my bodies. You can't talk about me sliding. You can't talk about how I go about that process, like moving and shaking out. How I'm out here mistreating a man. Yeah. Leading him on. Not validating his feelings. Something else. Gaslighting him. Not listening to him. Toxic. Not building with him. Him when I want. Not him off and on 15 years. You sit here. I got on the side, so you better not say nothing to me neither. She started the conversation with. I have companions. Plural. Yeah. I just want to hear from them. But then she want to get on. I really like. Honestly, that's not the thing. She wasn't gonna be honest. He forced her into a corner where she couldn't get out. Yeah, yeah. She wasn't necessarily transparent from go. He started asking a question. She'll get away from the question. No, no, no. Get back over here. There. That's what happened. She couldn't avoid it. She couldn't avoid it if he wasn't prepared. She was gonna wiggle herself out of that too. Oh, she is. She had about three or four different times where she was out. That's what I'm saying. Oh, you got your red pajamas on. No, no, no. You know, no, no, no. Red light special. How do you know I'm him? Because you're from Englewood. I mean, you're from. How you know we sexy. I know. You just said you got vitamin C. She just said it before that. Yeah, I know you. I don't care. His response want. That's what it was. I know how you move. That's why I know we. I know the cameras is here. Yeah, but. But we know we on to you. It's like when y' all be joking with each other, you be like, it's me. Exactly. It's the same thing. It's me. You can't tell that to me. You know better than that. You better. I know you. You are you Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. You Dr. Cayenne, Dr. Kyan. Brian. How do you. I'm. Oh, the gift of G. I'm on the phone. I'm available all day. I'll talk to you. I will listen to you. These other majors want to you. I'm on the phone with you all day. You anyway. Call that k. Br. Yo. No, I'm glad Paul Pierce did this. Yo, salute. I mean, I don't know if me being so celebratory about the moment makes me some type of womanizer or some. But some type of. I just think you asked the qu.
Melissa Ford
You asked the question about it.
Joe Budden
Huh?
Melissa Ford
I said, y' all are very enthusiastic about it.
Joe Budden
No, because I would have never done it had she come here. Like, I would. I would have never Would have never done that. But it needed to be done. It needed to be done.
Melissa Ford
Tell me why.
Joe Budden
Because he.
Melissa Ford
No, I'm asking a real question. Do you feel like she needed to be knocked off the high horse?
Joe Budden
Because where do you come from?
Melissa Ford
I'm genuinely asking. I have no dog in the race. I don't care.
Joe Budden
When Kevin Samuels came. Came to depart, one of my first questions before this interview could even proceed properly was, who are you? What gives you the right? What is your background, your experience? Why? Because you're doing a lot. He broke it down and he answered. He did. He said, my experience is I worked as the black lone black man in the sales department in advertising at mci. He said, I started at mci. Remember International mci. And he went into long distance. And then as the long distance market fell, I saw it fall. I pivoted over here. And he went through about 30 minutes of talking to us, telling us what his background was. He said, I started off in only dealing with. With and consulting young men. He said, he started with men. He didn't even fuck with women initially. He was dealing with young black men. They went on an HBCU tour and was talking to all young black men, trying to get them up to their level. You know what I mean? To. To raise their own levels. And then as he started to consult with high income clients like as. As an image consultant, professional, et cetera, et cetera. You get to talking to them and they looking for a significant other. And he's asking why these high value men. That's where the term came from. Because he was consulting them, were always single. I don't want to do word words. No. But that's where he got from. For me, what resonated was, yo, I worked in sales as a lone black man. I know what they think about us. I've done this for 20 years and this is my experience. This is how my relationships have gone with my significant others with children, his daughter. Dollars. Yeah. So not that he needed to qualify, just the fact that he could answer it. Once he answered. I understand where you come from.
Melissa Ford
Okay.
Joe Budden
I think there's this error in this. In this monetization era where everybody is doing anything as much as they can. Like when we find something that work because of how people are being paid, you don't even have to be passionate about it. You don't even have to really believe. Believe it like you can just talking about and get some off. And the first time it hit, I'm just keep pushing that same button. And because there are so many people world on the World wide web, it's only a hit. The handful of people might say, but who are you? There is no background check. There is no fact check. You can't go to the DMV and get a new ID without having 14 points or whatever. The passport where you live, mail an address. Who you last night. Yeah. You know what time it is. You need to be verified. And the Internet is like the wild, wild west where you don't. But for black people, you need to be very black. For black people, I don't know if that's American black. I don't know which black. I mean, I view black as black, so. But for black people. Yeah. Who are you? That does that means something. It does mean something. Little car facts would be nice. We need that Kelly Blue Book. We need that.
Melissa Ford
Okay.
Joe Budden
Who the fuck is buying the melon without going to Kelley Blue Book? Nigga, Kelly Blue Book gonna tell us what's going on. There's no Kelly Blue Book for these bitches. It's one in California, one in Long Beach. The truth book. I hope that Kevin Samuel. That was long winded, but I hope that answered your question as to why it matters to a lot of people. It may not. We don't speak for all.
Melissa Ford
No, I understand that. And Kevin Samuel Mills is Actually, a really great example, because when he passed away, the circumstances in which he passed away, a lot of people justified that to say that it diluted his messaging. And there's a lot of people who will sit there and say that there is. That it doesn't dilute the message. It's true. Am I. I meant.
Joe Budden
I mentioned that. I mentioned that and. No, we know that.
Melissa Ford
I'm just. I'm just. I'm just making.
Joe Budden
Connecting people did do that.
Melissa Ford
That's all I'm doing.
Joe Budden
I agree with you on that. But it was more so I don't like him. And I was looking for a reason I understand. Make me feel. Because I don't see how the body.
Melissa Ford
I'm not talking about whether we like him or not.
Joe Budden
I'm saying the people that was doing that.
Melissa Ford
Yes, agreed. So when it comes to Cheyenne Bryant, it sounds like this interview focused mainly on a personal life that nobody really knew anything about because nobody was touching these questions. Correct. Okay. So she can be thought of in the same vein as Kevin Samuels. It's like, okay, so if your personal life doesn't kind of align with the things that you're talking about, does that dilute the message? I think it's message messenger timing. It's all these factors.
Joe Budden
But we started with that on the rap conversation. We started with that on the rap conversation about when authenticity came into play. Like, was it cool Modi? Was it Nas? Was it hov? Like, when did that start to go mainstream? But. But I think the Dr. Cheyenne Bryant is a good case study as to why it's important.
Melissa Ford
I'll give you even better case studies. Every single man of the church who has been found to have a sordid past history or current situation, and he still has a congregation sometimes. Oftentimes they are massive congregations. And that does not stop them from. From flocking to the church. It's like, listen to the messenger, not the man, because the man is flawed. This is a. This is the exact same thing.
Joe Budden
I feel like we said. We said all that when we covered this on the Patreon conversation. And I agree with everything. Sign up right the second Patreon. Patreon. I agree. I think everything you're saying is valid. That's how I feel in response when I heard that. That's what was my biggest thing with her. How do we know that this message that you're pushing is actually something that you actually follow? And now we. When we hear all this, it's even more reason for me.
Melissa Ford
You find out that her. Her Personal life is a little messy. That's. That's what. This.
Joe Budden
Basically my apology.
Melissa Ford
That's what we basically found out is that her personal life is. Is messy. It's messier than we. Than she would have.
Joe Budden
Well, not just messy. It's not just messy. It doesn't align with. It doesn't align with the. With the product that you're pushing or you're being known for. Even that's being nice. It's totally contradictory of the. What you believe in. It's not just. It don't align with. It is the direct opposite of what you're saying.
Melissa Ford
Again, I'll make the call back to all of the men of the cloth who are doing behind the scenes and preaching the word of God every single day. Like, a lot of people are not living up to the standard of which they preach. A lot of us just aren't. And this is not in defense of her. This is just me making a blanket statement about.
Joe Budden
I don't like it.
Melissa Ford
Human nature.
Joe Budden
I don't like it from all of them. Sure, Right. Like, I'm not taking what you're saying in defense of her. I don't like this from anybody. Yeah, anybody. I don't either. It might not be, as hers is a direct opposite, like, to your church of the man of the cloth. It's like if he was standing up there condemning the exact same thing that he's doing. Not just saying, live right, Live right, Live right, Live right. No, no, I'm talking about directly. They do that as well. They don't do that sometimes. No, they do that sometimes. We about to get into a dark talk. No. About what the church be doing. They be wowing. Oh, no, they be wowing homosexuality. She's right. Yeah, they do that. Especially when it comes to the homosexuality.
Melissa Ford
Yeah. So, you know, I mean, I totally get it. Listen, I want my idols, I want the people that I. That I admire to live up to the things that they preach about. I want that.
Joe Budden
Yo, live your raps, yo. We all hypocrites. There's people that love that. That phrase, yo, live your raps. I. I listen to it because I can understand it's coming from real experience. If you're not living your raps, there's a moment where people gonna judge what you're saying. And not really, yo. See, but for me, like he said, but for me, I want to be clear. I'm with you. Live your raps. If you're not living your raps, I don't mind that either. Either. Okay. Either. But I don't condemn somebody. And that's my. Don't condemn somebody else. When we talk about girls, that's when it gets. We talk about sex workers. I don't mind sex workers. Right. What I hate is when they start condemning the girls that don't have what they have materialistically because they're not doing what you're doing. Like, yo, fam, I think that if you're doing whatever you're doing, I don't give a. But don't start condemning the other people. And that works on the other side, the condemning point where any. Yes. Anyway. That you angle it. So, yeah, it's not really about her. And I agree with what you're saying about the. The church people. So, yeah, the second you get to condemning any group or individual. Yeah. Them lights get bright. That's true. Them lights get bright. Can I ask you something? You think that she adjust how she goes about doing her speaking after this? Yes. No. I don't think so either. Not at all. I don't think she do nothing. And I don't think so because I saw bunch of women saying she right. Yeah. Think it's a blip of a moment. I saw a bunch of women like, yo, y', all, he ain't let her talk. And she's right. They was defending that.
Melissa Ford
What were they saying she was right about?
Joe Budden
And he let her talk. Yeah. It's our turn now. Yo, listen. When something catch on fire, regardless if we believe in it or not, we gonna stand. We gonna try to stick to that path. And sometimes when you stick it to that path, you forget to look internally. That goes for anything. Like he said, in this monetization era, when you find something that hits a lick, you forget. Yeah. Like, get. I'd love to hear her in interviews say something like, we're less different than we are alike. I can identify with some of the. Like, use your brilliance or your credentials for good, not evil. Yeah.
Melissa Ford
I think that she has.
Joe Budden
And that's it for me on this.
Melissa Ford
Yeah. In closing, I'll just say I did it.
Joe Budden
Y' all don't listen when I do this.
Melissa Ford
I'm sorry.
Joe Budden
I'm done.
Melissa Ford
Can I just say this one last point? I think that she should take this interview as a point of reference for her to.
Joe Budden
Get your personal stupid. I told you, don't do that. She took too long. It was a long space.
Melissa Ford
Become a little bit more candid.
Joe Budden
And she still said it. Let's go, man. Hey, I tell you what. No, no, no, no. We know this homegirl hey, this is the. Just the. The. The tip of the iceberg. Yes, it is. Oh, yeah. Don't let them Internet find him. Oh, don't let him be offended that she spoke about him like that. Hey, well, that's gonna happen anyway. She gonna have a long talk at some point, but don't let us find out who he is. She's not gonna have a long talk. No, she gonna have to talk. She's gonna have a long talk. Why you don't think so, though? We got to see the. No, we don't. Yes, we do. We got to see the. We know the. I don't know the. We are the. I ain't the. No. We not understanding of that relationship. Understanding totally two different things. We've been. He's absolutely right. But would the. You scared me. I said you. I'm right again with Mark. You up like that, boy. We got to get you to be right with Marko. You got to do this. You did smack on about this point. I'm calling Mark. Yeah, K, I. I read your point right now. Let me pound. We. We've all been that. So we do understand it. That's true. I thought. I thought it's another body.
Melissa Ford
Why didn't you. Why didn't you guys praise her for that statement that she made? Because if you guys have been in that position where you are the dog walker, why are you not.
Joe Budden
No, he's not. That's not what we talking about. Six minute conversation. We not to going and discount.
Melissa Ford
All of us couldn't wait for that.
Joe Budden
No, that wasn't even the most important. I thought that that was a good Cliff note of everything. That's all. It's not that. My dick. Yeah, that wasn't. That wasn't. I think her. The. The. The. The. That she was saying leading up to that point was the most important. Yeah. Got it. Like, yo, he's not mentally mature enough. I'm nine years older than him. It was. All right. That's peace. That was good. Let me get your phone. Case. I ordered for food. Can you order some. I ordered some. Some food. No. Let me get your phone order. Oh, no. Them date is over. My. I'm. Yo. That said let me get your phone so I can order some food. Honestly, Pat, your phone, bro. I'm tapped. I know that leak went out, but I'm tapped. Wait a minute. I'm tapped. I don't have it. Wait a minute, bro. Nobody on God. I'm tapped. I know that leak was misleading, but I don't have it. Oh, God. I'm tapped. Using God name in vain. It ain. And I'm not lying. I'm probing you. I'm tapped right now. I'm t. It's. It's tight. Just. I just showed you. Send bread. It's tight this month. It's tight this month. No, it's tight. I can't. I can't. This in your business. I can't do the fried calamari. All that we be doing. See, I ain't pass my phone on. You know I would normally. You just went outside and told me you order. Give me the phone. I never said that. You said, yo, Mel, I know you hungry. I got you. No, I said I ordered some stuff. But you didn't order what I. I'm not giving it around. But last time, it's over. It's tight right now. I went to see a spot for my birthday dinner. I let the little Met gala picks and all the parties soup me up. I went on 10th Ave like my dick was big and learned it was not. I don't know why you did that. It was like going to the Safe store all over again. I went there, boy. I got to stop the leak. Suit me up, too. Hey, the leak. Suit me up, too, y'. All. I was acting beside myself, and I went in there and saw this beautiful establishment.
Melissa Ford
Where'd you try to go to?
Joe Budden
Just open lower to November 12th. Yeah, I know you talking about, too. Me packing. Yeah. So I've been open open November 2024, and it is beautiful. I can't even talk about it because it's like, members only type. I'm not a member. I know where you're going. And at the end, I was like, let's talk numbers. And that's what they did. They talked numbers. That's what they did. They spoke. Yeah, be careful what you asked for. They asked for calculus. They gave you the numbers. They gave you calculus. I said, see, now, listen. Now, see, them white people that do this level of business, the numbers is in the email. Normally, they ain't used to some just, hey, let's talk numbers now. Well, you asked, all right? I think you would receive it better in the email. But since you say that and you talk. Told me, yo, did your body language look like what happened? Like, but you booked it, though. We good. Did your body language say, yo, pass your phone? Pass your phone. You booked it. Pass your phone? Did your body language go stomach bubble, Stomach start growling? Yo, it's not booked yet, but it will be, God willing. Need a couple more. Put the Card on it. God. God willing. Oh, now, now, when she said that, I did think that I was like, oh, company office party right off. There you go. Office party. Of course. Yeah, it should be here. Are you crazy? Office party. Y' all gotta come now. Put the Ferrari on tour. Come on time. What you're talking about, because the fed's gonna ask me was issue here. I need pictures early, for real. Okay, all right, all right. Go to Zar now. Gotta go now. Nah, I ain't going to Zar. Get my tailor made. If one of y' all step out the night of my birthday dinner and play with it. I'm not pause. I'm not talking to you no more. This is the year. 45 is the year that I'm ready to stop talking to more people. 44, looking for a reason. On God. Wait, what you mean? I promise you what you mean. Oh, you saying better come. Come dressed correct. Like white boy Matt showed up in some jean shorts or some Matt. You do that this year, I promise I'll slap the out of you. I promise you. I promise you. Like, I don't know what the invite is going to say other than there's no such thing as a plus two, no matter who you are. But, yeah, I'm telling y' all first because I work with y' all and we friends and I love y'. All. Any one of you. If you come in midnight, I'm not talking to you no more. And I'll still work with you, so it'd be awkward. No, wait, hold on. You said no plus twos, but you did say nobody in the world is getting a plus two, but you did tell to invite them out, so how does that work? You told to make sure you bring them out, so how does that work? They can come to the party, not the dinner. Oh, okay. Oh, all right. That's cool. Yeah. The dinner is for us, and the party is for. Ain't nobody care about. Yeah, you know what time it is, man? I'm not playing with them this year. I'm not letting my girl run. I'm doing it this year. This year, I'm doing it. Say that when she's like, I did. She was sitting over. But we saw her response. I don't give a what her response was. There's nothing she could do about it. Oh, there's absolutely nothing she could do about it but be mad for a second. Sorry, O. Been there before. Oh, you mad again. Oh, darn it. Yo, yo. The gift of illusion, right? Like, oh, she's mad you mad? Oh, man, I better fix up. I better. Oh, man, she's mad. Oh, I better change some things. I'll never do that again. Sometimes you got to pop out and show your girl. I mean. Or whatever the Kendrick line said.
Melissa Ford
It wasn't that.
Joe Budden
Listen, don't be bisexual all year and then stop at the birthday dinner. Yo, that part too. That's the most bisexual night. Hey, hey. 364 days of the year, she want the same old love again. All I wanna do. You think it's crazy. Hey, my birthday dinner. It be a good night to remember. You bisexual. I ain't just talking to my girl. I'm talking about any girl that come outside of partners and. And wives and soulmates and love it. Mel. What?
Melissa Ford
That does not apply to me.
Joe Budden
You can get a plus one. No, of course not. That's power dynamics. I can't tell you. I can't tell you for the night. All right, then the number go up. I have to give you like, 375. Mel get 375, she start wiling in soon. And another thing, that bucko. No, you. No, no, you'll get a plus one. I'm asking.
Melissa Ford
Thank you.
Joe Budden
Who's the plus one gonna be? Is it gonna be the girls that came to Pods giving, or is it gonna be.
Melissa Ford
I don't know yet.
Joe Budden
She ain't figured out how she gonna ask him. She ain't figured out how she gonna. I mean, like that. I ain't gonna hold you. I ain't go. I did some research. You gotta. You gotta. He ain't ch. I was playing him like he was ch. He ain't ch. N. He not. Not at all. Ain't like 64 too. This know his height. Yo, he ain't jump. Stop this. When be playing with you, Mel, you got to say something real time. Can't play with Mel. Not at all. Meaning that on here, we play around Mel Dem, like with the shine, bro. Me too, girl. No, not YouTube. I'm in house. She put the ill dimmers on too. Mel, stop dimming her. Like, light yourself up. Yo. You are hip hop 600. What the. They talking about? Legend from the six. Stop playing with her anyway, big man. What else we got? What's important to y'? All? We were talking about support hate earlier.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, what's that about?
Joe Budden
Ice, You've been killing, man. You've been killing. Just. Yes. You know, I do have a clip that I want to play for y'. All.
Melissa Ford
We can actually be the one.
Joe Budden
Oh, what the hell? She back. She Back. She back. I said, you caught up all the. What the hell? I want to play this clip for y' all because I love y' all and I trust y', all, and I cannot trust my own thinking it sometimes. So I like to run things by other people to help me with deciphering. Yeah. Just my view on some things before I finalize. Hit that finalize button.
Melissa Ford
Okay.
Joe Budden
Once I hit that finalize button, the cake is made. This cake is finished. But one of my good, good content creator friends, Merrill, was on. Was on indeed To Know podcast with Savon, and Savon is family, so. And Savon is proud of me and proud of us and proud of himself for the great job we've done. So he's talking to. I'm just gonna play the clip and y' all tell me what y' all think. I don't know if this is support hate or not mind. All right, let's hear it. Let's see. Hundred thousand per month numbers from Joe Buddy. That is the creative Martinell. Everybody knows what it is. Was that a thing for you? Yeah, man. It's crazy. I made that money already. I made that money in tv. And then, like, Lord, I see what you've done. Father do the same for us. Been there, got the bag, invested the bag wisely, bro. Joe been online when the cameras look like this. Yeah. When this was like the webtail Panasonic running around with Tahiri, like, yo, we over here still using gateway computers. He was like the first guy. It's only right. Like, he should be making that because he put in the work and he's had that long Runway.
Melissa Ford
At first, it was sounding like he was kicking your back in. Can't lie. But then.
Joe Budden
No, he's just being funny.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're being funny. It sounded like he was saying, yeah, he should have been made that money because he's been online since 2004.
Joe Budden
Nah, I got something different a little bit. Just at the beginning, like, I've been made that money. But anyway, yeah, that part was a little bit. That was a little. That ain't no money. That's the part that I gotta hear again. Now that Parks bellies. That ain't no money. Cause I trust Park. I gotta hear that part again. Yeah, that was the only part, though. I bended that. That from Joe Buddy. That is the creative part. Now everybody knows what it is. Was that a thing for you, man? It's crazy. I made that money over and. No, you didn't. Hold on. No, you hold on. No, we got some return fire. You didn't. You didn't. Hey, Mercury, Merrill. That was one month from one vehicle. Meryl, talk to the mic. Meryl, no. How you know? Cause I know Meryl. No, you did not. I love you. Yeah, I know him in real life. I did your show. Trust me. No, you didn't. You didn't. That's the truth. I know them niggas put numbers on the board. Hey, if you did, he wouldn't have left. Y' all would be together for life, like me and Ian. I love that white. Listen, she know you. Yeah, there would be no. Oh, we brought a Showtime. They said no, no, no. But they did numbers over there. But outside of the money portion, I just think that structurally, structurally, it's different. You didn't do that, y'. All. I had a show. Y' all went over there. As soon as over there left, left, it was done. Which is probably what happened to the last iteration. As soon as we left Spotify, that iteration was done. That happens with people. But, Meryl, I can assure you, if you ain't never listened to nothing I ever said before. Look, I'm about to cry. No, you didn't. And don't say that again, because Savon and Alex, they not gonna tell you. But it sounds different than you think. It sounds out. It's not coming out the way you think it's supposed to come out. Pause. And that's my man. So this. This is. That's. I love him, but I was shooting a bit. I was only shooting Bill because it felt like they asked him first if that was a benchmark for him, which is the only reason why he responded in that way. Still. Even though. Let's just say he still is lying. I mean, the lies. The lie, whatever. That nigga's lying. I don't see it like that. Because these is. America could put themselves up with any combat. Any podcaster. They. They have the right. Right to put themselves right there. So for you to even consider yourself in that whole podcasters are looking at that as a benchmark thing is funny to me. But he asked him, so, I mean. Well, no, you didn't. That's my only. That's my only. That we can't just keep getting on our XLRs and just saying whatever. There has to be some. A verification, authentic. Just checking a Kelly blue Book. There has to be some type of fact checking to this stuff. Now, any who.
Melissa Ford
So have you come.
Joe Budden
To like the rest of it didn't feel like hate to me. That was. He was just yeah. That only that one sentence could have been misinterpreted. But the rest. If I'm confused about it, then I'm going. I'm going to do this. You right. Cause the benefit of the doubt is dead. That shit died in 90. When that died. Ringtone era. Nah. Twitter. Twitter for sure. Twitter. Yeah. Oh, nah, you right. The benefit of the doubt is dead. I should have just. Cause that's my man giving him the benefit of the doubt. But I won't. Cause. No, you didn't. Hmm. I think I wanna beef with somebody so bad. No, no, you do a little bit. I don't. I know. I don't. I don't. I really don't. I promise you, I don't. There is nobody. I even changed my beef list that ICE knew about once upon a time. I don't have the same beef list either.
Melissa Ford
Oh, Is it bigger or smaller?
Joe Budden
Your man not on there still? Yeah, he's off. Really? Really? Wow. Oh, that's what's up. He's off. I thought that one was staying on there forever. Nah, he's cool. Oh, that's good, daddy. That's good. He's all right. All right. So you might not want to beef. All right, cool. Joe ran into the strippy or something. You ran into him with the strippy or something? Something. No, you just over it. There's no need like that. There's no need. Yeah, yeah. All right. That's another new thing that happens on the Internet. You feel away Monday. The Internet try to make you feel that way for the rest of your life. See what that money can just not feel a certain way about anymore. You don't need to be we brothers, yo.
Melissa Ford
Money makes you like real hakuna matata, huh?
Joe Budden
No. You start to see the separation between the fray. There's really no reason to beef.
Melissa Ford
Hence it makes you more. Hakuna matata.
Joe Budden
Means no worries for the rest of your. Rest of your days. It's a problem free philosophy. There's a movie in 1993 called they Lift the line Up. The monkey Lift the line up and hit the cub the baby in this movie. I have a two year old at home. I know all the words by heart. Simone and who? Petey Poplar. What the fuck are you talking about, bro? Actually, you know what? It's up for a couple. I may have jumped the gun. I know. There you go. No, no, no. I'm not talking about the beef list. I'm dead ass on the beef list. But I may have jumped the gun. Maybe Merrill is Correct. In a week or two, there's a New York Times piece about me. If after you read it, it you're correct, I'll stand down. I'll stand down. On your way to work. All right. I want you to do me a. Enough. You did it stop at a local. Your local newsstand.
Melissa Ford
Or.
Joe Budden
Or. Or Hudson News in the airport. Go ahead. Some news. Pick up the New York Times article and. And. And we'll go from there. Man, I love Merrill. What page you. You want to promote the page and all? Honestly, I don't know. It's feeling like the front door. We're doing a photo shoot. They said they need me for an hour.
Melissa Ford
Oh, wait, hold on. And so is this gonna be like Sunday morning New York Times style section?
Joe Budden
Y' all names ain't Mel. My bullet is for Mel. No, but you saying that your is right here. Get that phone. And you forgetting that not here. Pass your phone. But that's part of my food. But that's part of what. That's part of what this evolution in 45 is about, right? Like, I don't want to have. I don't want to dim my life. Like, no. I should be able to speak food around my man. I love you folks like food. Hey, Joanne Bryant. I told. That said he don't want to hear your word. That said, I don't give a About that. Pass the jo. I got you something over there. It's nice too. I don't eat none of that. But you got. You don't eat chicken. You don't eat sauteed chicken. Who on earth doesn't eat sauteed chicken, bro? Just pass anybody. Flip is the nigga that won't. He will be the one be having fried fries. It's okay, my nigga. You drop. You dropped the. Is it a finger? You said front frock. Mel, you. Mel, I don't have nothing else that I need to get to on my list, but we should find something else. Okay. All right. Mel. Tank Davis. Look at y'. All. Oh, she should get. I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. Look at y'. All. Your sissies. Oh, she look at Mel. Hey, yo, you be here posting about Hide and Bomb. Why you here? Oh, shit, I forgot I had a beef with you. Oh, my God, Mel, you. I told you this before, but you're just so manipulative.
Melissa Ford
I'm not.
Joe Budden
Mel, you can't poach guests from here. Who. Oh, shit. I know what you're talking about. I know what you're talking about. Hey, yo, Nori know this. Nori know that. Nori what, ho? So, Yo, Nori. No. All right, yo, whoever.
Melissa Ford
No, but you're bringing it up for a reason.
Joe Budden
Yes, Mel. So be it. Yo, that's it. You just. We got you, girl.
Melissa Ford
Oh, that. No, no, no.
Joe Budden
Let me defend. She don't know who. Who. That's how you know you're guilty. What do you know? We see you out here grinding. We see you. Oh, she's right. I support the grind, but you cannot support the. Support the pillage. Yeah, I don't support the pillage, but that's the other half of it. I know. I don't see shit. That's the other half, Mel. You can't poach and pillage.
Melissa Ford
I didn't poach and pillage.
Joe Budden
You can't try to.
Melissa Ford
I didn't try.
Joe Budden
I asked. And, yo, try seeing it from a pov. You're right, Imani. All right, Mel. You can't stand by the bathroom as the guests leave and block the door, the doorway.
Melissa Ford
I think I was trying to poach clips. Is that what you. Is that what you're alluding to?
Joe Budden
I mean, it's not my first example.
Melissa Ford
I was definitely not trying to poach them.
Joe Budden
That's it.
Melissa Ford
Not even a little bit. I. Listen.
Joe Budden
I know, but for you.
Melissa Ford
I know when I'm out of my depth, I wouldn't.
Joe Budden
But for you to say that means.
Melissa Ford
That whole interview would be trauma.
Joe Budden
But for you to say that means you've identified who you did try to p. No.
Melissa Ford
Not even a little bit. I'm just. Because you stood. Stood.
Joe Budden
There are some other names on the poach list. Blueberries. Melissa Bryant. Yeah. I'm not doing this far, man. I just want to tell you for the ninth time, you can't try to poach. And I love you.
Melissa Ford
I don't know who you're talking about.
Joe Budden
All right.
Melissa Ford
Have I had anybody on my show that's been up here? No.
Joe Budden
Yes. J. Kiss.
Melissa Ford
Oh, well, I wasn't here when Jadakiss was here. And also, there's, like, an ex. There's, like an expiration date on that.
Joe Budden
You were here when Jay. Wait. Huh? Wait. Who puts the explanation. She just told you. Hey, yo, this embargo.
Melissa Ford
Yeah. You can't. You can't be like, oh, well, the guest was up here three years ago. You can't.
Joe Budden
Interview limitations.
Melissa Ford
That's crazy. That's crazy.
Joe Budden
You want to be six months and his pops and J.1 came up. Yes. No, she wasn't. Yes, she was. When they came up for the Kiss Cafe. She was. You were here. Of course she was here. No. Yes, she was here. You wasn't here. I wasn't here. It was before us. Yes, y' all were here.
Melissa Ford
I don't think so.
Joe Budden
Yes, you guys were. Yo, stop telling we were here, bro. I don't think we were. You just got here. We was not here. I flip. You was here. You know you was here. Cause you just told Amani. He just got here. Nah, she wasn't here. Huh? She wasn't here. Thank you. You feel I'm looking at it? You doing all that for your man? No, E, come on, Yo. Who would have hosted this show when Kiss came in here with his. With his dad and gave us all coffee? Us. Us. It was just y'. All. Jesus. Yes. Jizz us. No, we're not jizzing nobody, bro. I'm looking at it. That sounds funny. No, but if you're right, then let me be the first to say I was wrong. Congratulations. I don't believe I was wrong. I still don't think I'm wrong.
Melissa Ford
I don't believe Freeze is looking at it.
Joe Budden
Freeze be wrong every time he's looking.
Melissa Ford
At it on his phone.
Joe Budden
Every time he go on that phone and pop out on the public broadcast and say, I be wrong, I go home and figure out I'm right. But I stand down. That's what you'll never believe. You're wrong. But I sat here. Pop sat here. Kiss sat there. J. Juan sat there. Ish sat there. You sat there. No, but I'm saying. Did they work here? No. No, I don't think so. I don't think so. Okay. Joseph Anthony Button Jr. Was wrong.
Melissa Ford
There we go.
Joe Budden
I feel like y'. All. You hear that? You guys at 45, man. Yeah. I mean, it's important to just when you're wrong, realize we don't accept this. Oh, also, I didn't give a. I don't apologize for to do that part. Yo, you know you crazy. Look, I'm not buying no food. I'm tapped till October. I just was watching you just now, and you've been. And I said this earlier.
Melissa Ford
He just cashapped somebody, too.
Joe Budden
Oh, and I saw Grind me up here. No, hold on. You know what's so crazy, yo? You looking at my phone. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hey, I saw you do. You did the face joint. And then in my head, I'm like, I gotta tell Joe I said this on the pod. I don't. You know what I'm saying? I kept trying to do this to Parks. To take, to stop. To stop. To see if I said something wrong. I don't know who he cashed at. Okay. In my list here, I have Gary Coleman's ex wife, Phil's lie detector. When asked about did she kill him or. Nah, she killed that. Is this on a show? Has she did this show? Yes. Yeah. Someone out there has a 20 year anniversary to their book and they're dropping a deluxe with never before heard stories. Super slurps. I have Nikki versus Hov and Cardi responds, kinda. I have here. What do you do if your partner makes music and you absolutely hate it? I have. How long could you stay awake if you knew that this was your last time ever being awake? When you go to bed, you know you're not waking up. How long do you think you would stay awake? Right underneath that, I have. Corey's name has an E in it. And that's the one I want. And that's the one I want to start with. I ain't gonna lie. I ain't know that. You. Y. You ain't know. Cory. This is how I know Corey is off and male friendships don't know nothing about each other. That's true too. Corey. People start hitting me about Corey, and they keep putting the E in his name, and I keep taking it out. I keep taking it out because hate to break. Hate to break it to people. Corey without the E, it's still Corey. What the was the point of that? Look, he left. He didn't name himself. Jail. Yo Joe. He didn't name himself. He kept it. Corey's not his real name. He kept the E in his name as Corey. You supposed to change it.
Melissa Ford
It's a unisex name.
Joe Budden
You shouldn't type that ever again. Whoa. What'd you say about Corey?
Melissa Ford
I said it's a unisex name.
Joe Budden
Yeah, his is spelled like the girl way.
Melissa Ford
No, it's spelled like the guy way way. The guy weighs with the E, the.
Joe Budden
Girl weighs with the K. That's not true. The female weigh is usually with the K. That's what I've seen. Cory, your name shouldn't have a E in it. And it's Corey. Still cor E. Let's go, Mel.
Melissa Ford
C, O, E spells no matter how.
Joe Budden
Bad you pod, you're not going on. You're staying here. Don't try to core. Come on. Don't try to sound it out with me. You're not leaving Earth. Oh, I gotta go. Walk.
Melissa Ford
Daisy.
Joe Budden
Oh, man. Help. Date. Help. Daisy. Do what?
Melissa Ford
Walker?
Joe Budden
What do Y' all want to get to here and where we at on time? 2:38. We have been up here just running all mouth about. I feel like are scared to do the Nikki, Jay Z. That's a fact. Ain't gonna do it correct. So if ain't gonna do it. I put a tweet out there. I did too. But I. It's that shit when I. I like when they go, those are your peoples on both sides. I won't say peoples, but you have a high respect for them. So I speak to both of them. Right? So I know me, I would love. I know that the audience, as the audience hates when I say that. But I mean, it's true. You can sit this out. Even though some of this is juicy. I ain't talking about all that HOV kid shit. I don't care about that. This is about title shit, right? Yeah. She was born into the title shit. Yeah. Why you don't care about all that kid shit? The kid shit. There's not enough. There's not enough basis there for me to pay attention to. So if that becomes a real thing, then cool. For now, I don't have that. And I got too much respect to go down that road. The other shit is interesting to me. It's compelling. Because that piques my interest. The business side, them saying Nikki's bankrupt. Nikki gotta go on tour to recoup some from title. But. And I mean, not title. Yeah. Is it title, Islam Nation title, Whatever it is, same. I haven't fact checked any of that either. So just the gossip and rumor side of it is interesting to me. But I've heard a million war stories about people and their Rock Nation contracts. None of them, maybe outside of Nikki, will talk publicly about it. But no, that's not true.
Melissa Ford
Who was it that came up here and said that they wanted us?
Joe Budden
No, it's a lot of people that have said, oh, Jazzy Jozzy came up, said something about it. They're not gonna get the attention that Nikki gonna get when she speak. Oh, true. But in the last couple weeks, said, yo, my ROC Nation contract was disgusting. Every Rock Nation contract I've ever heard about has been disgusting. Granted, I ain't heard about them all, but. But these are artists that I speak to and believe about their contractual situation. So it's tricky for me. It's tricky for me. I get it. But I will keep an eye on the factual findings on the business side of it. Because they say Nikki has got to go on another tour. Or like, they saying a lot I like both of them so much just in respect to what they do that I don't feel like I would want to comment without having for sure facts. Just to speculate at this point would be kind of messed up. But I don't. I don't think that's just because it's them. Because we do a lot of other shit. I know, I know. And trying to get better at that. But I think. I don't think that Nikki's just probably talking out her ass. I'm gonna at least say that. I don't think she's just saying shit just to say shit. I don't think that said the same thing earlier. That's it. I mean, maybe her response is she might be going up. Yeah, yeah. She might be going about it wrong. But if it's anything pertaining to business or how she would fulfill the obligations when she was doing the title thing and then she. Apparently her complaint or what I read is that something with title. And then when they sold title in 20, she was offered to sign the contract for the million dollars. You gotta. You will receive a million dollars from the sale and you got 24 hours to. To sign it. She said no. That's what she said. They also said it was something about her not signing the contract. The original. The original original. They said the one that she did for Media was fake. So she's also saying that, like how you know. So now she's saying that also you guys are admitting to fraud. So it's just a lot of things she's going on a rampage about or expressing herself. I was just trying to figure out. Do you even mention. Know. I mean, hov? I guess. Yeah, HOV is Roc Nation, but is it more of a Nicki versus Roc Nation and not always having to make it a Nicki versus HOV thing? I think she's making the Nikki versus Rock Nation, but. And people turning it into. No. And some of the stuff she's saying. Jay Z like, yo, dog, this what you standing by. So if you know that if. If it's me versus the jbn, right? And let's say Joe has. Joe is not on the Joe Button podcast no more. Joe's ascended past that. Right. But it's still your company. It's still your company or you still are aligned in it. So you could step in and be the, you know, the middleman to reconcile the situation. And if you're not doing that and me and you were supposedly friends, then she could feel a certain way. Hey, I'm at this point I'm just waiting for facts. True. My only question. Has there been any. Has there been any court filings on her behalf? Not that I know. She's from Queensland. Not that I know of. Okay. And you saying it should be handled that way? That's the case. If it's really something to it, just take it to court. That's what I would do. That's what I feel like I'm owed a certain amount of money and I have the proof to prove that from said company. Me, I am filing to go get my money because outside I don't see somebody just coming up. Bring you a suitcase over some sweets. Yeah, yeah. All right. We being a little about it. So I just don't know. We being. We. We the way we would naturally speak about other topics. We kind of being reluctant to speak these shits. Well, you can't on one end say I don't have enough of the facts and I don't want to speculate about too often artist this size and then say that we being out the might be being responsible. Being responsible? Yeah, I guess. I mean, yeah, but we've been irresponsible with other before. But yeah. When are lesser artists. Right. Okay. When you say which is perfectly fine, you're being responsible because you're saying that you didn't hear hov side because no, that's not you. I'm just saying people could say all right, whomever. Because her side explains it. So if you. So who fact checked it? Who fact checked it so that she. She explained her side. Yeah, I'm with freeze. I think that if she's old money, this isn't the best course of action. How she's going about it. If you're trying to be owed money. Yes. I don't think Nikki. I think Nikki is very intelligent. So if she feeling like she owed money money, she's seen something somewhere to say you owe. I'm holding some money. So somebody has to verify this stuff before we. We are too big. The same way they too big. And I know the fans hate hearing that but. Sorry. Sorry. And I just believe when you at that level it's just ways to do it. Dang street and running around in the streets used to be the. But even still you still make it public and used to. But you know what though? If that. If some of that touring. If that touring aspect part of it is true, then I understand her going off. And that's not to say that somebody's right or wrong. It's just to say I would totally understand if she has to tour to recoup money to pay back. Yeah, got it. Feel like. Or somebody just said, yo, my man did a forensic audit or somebody and oh, the beavers, the beaver, the beaver. Like you go to somebody thinking that you owed money and then they tell you, nah, we kind of got you by the walls. You owe us money. And the only way for you to do it is hit the road to tour, get your dusty ass back in the studio. I'm going to curse you out, put out a B album. I'm going curse you out every step of the way. And then they had Nikki calling the streamers. She called Aiden Ross, she called Kai to find out the pros and cons of kick versus Twitch. I know she's spoken to me when I was on amp about some of the benefits of being over there. So she does, she does her research about moves that she need to do. I think that anybody with as as many hits and as much success as Nikki being in a financial crunch is insane to me. But I don't know, again, I don't want to speculate. Right? And we've seen that a million times. And I think it would also mean. Yeah, I think it would also just speak to the, the business predatory nature of the music business. Yes. Well, I end this with, with my, my pussy foot statement. Nikki, I love you, I wish you well. Hope I love you, I wish you well. And we'll see. Nikki. If you hold it, I hope you get it. If you, if you hold your money, I hope you get it. That's it. That Yo Nor we know this and nor we know that. Yo Nori know G why Cuz Nor that. Oh, what y' all want to do? What y' all want to do? Where we going? Where we going? Where we going? Where we going? Did you get, did you get Davis? RG3. RG3 is the doofus.
Melissa Ford
What do you do now?
Joe Budden
A do rg3 is. Is. Is I I agree with everything Ron Clark said about. Yeah, I'm almost mad that Ryan Clark was forced to apologize. Did he? Well, I think he apologized about the wife. He only apologize about the like y' all bought your wife into this and I shouldn't have done that. But the rest of the I said stands. That part stands too though. That part stands too though. I mean it's tackless tactless to say that. So Art, Ryan Clark would never because he's a classic gentleman. But yeah, RG3 anti black commentator of football did some more anti black. It was so anti black. I don't even know how to describe it to y', all, but he went on this. He went on this Angel Reese diatribe again that nobody asked for because Angel Reese has been absolutely killing. Killing. She has. Angel Reese has been absolutely killed. There's no need to. Anyway, he went on. He wrote seven paragraphs detailing his issue or with Angel Reese and why they've had issues in the past. And it was disguised with him clipping up a racist, anti black tweet that somebody else made. So he said all of this shit and cropped a tweet and picture and posted it. I'm not gonna repeat what that picture was because that's not what this broadcast is about. But even that, it was. It was cruel. Nasty. Disgusting. Disgusting. It's not how you speak to a woman. Fuck women in sports. You don't do that to no woman nowhere. And you know it's nasty when Martin Luther King daughter gotta come in and tweet you and say, young man, hey, why don't you just stop talking about this lady? Like, if some of that shit you saying in the dijab is true about her, this type of divisive and yada yada, yada, stop talking about this girl. But he called himself being slick. That's. That's the. The sneaky I don't like about it. Like, he put that particular picture that we're not gonna describe up and tried to make it seem like he was defending her by even posting the picture. Like, yo, this is wrong. Even though we got our problems, no one should ever post this while posting it. Yeah. And RG3, you ain't never been smooth enough to be that slick. Yeah. Like, everybody saw right through the you was trying to pull. That was disgusting. Yeah. Yeah. Who did you work for again? Huh? Who does he work for again? I'm not sure if he still works for espn. Okay. But I mean, if he did, then it's on brand. ESPN gonna fire anybody to get up there on some pro black, left side political. I mean, I don't know if he still works there, so I don't want to lie on it. I think he does. And that's kind of what I was. I only keep seeing him, but it's not football season. 2. It's Not Football season. That's disgusting, though. I saw that picture earlier. It's nasty. He's a clown. Clown. He's a. He's a clown. I don't know that. He ain't make that. He didn't. He didn't make it. Oh, he did? No, no. I saw when it was first posted. It would. He posted it. I wouldn't care who made it. He posted it. That facts.
Melissa Ford
I think he's backtracking in this tweet.
Joe Budden
I would. I don't care.
Melissa Ford
No, him, obviously. Yeah. But he's already started the apology tour and justifying it.
Joe Budden
RG3, you can keep that. My. Yeah, yeah, we good. We good. Good. Hey, I ain't gonna lie. I'm about to stop calling you RG3, too. You Robert Griffin the third ass. You don't get no cool nickname. You was running and sliding on some Lamar Jackson for two years. Bob Griffin. Yeah, that is funny, son. But again, in these black spaces, you got people that just hate being black. Anti black. Got every reason to. What? So. So hold on. So I see. I see. So he used that tweet to complain about the stuff that she did to him that he thinks that she did to him, while saying that he's standing up for her. Yeah, yeah. All the old school shit. Exactly it. That's exactly what it was. But one slick enough to really. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cuz I'm reading it. I'm cuz he ain't learned that move from no black person. Yeah, that's that old school. Like Billy Bob. I learned that from Billy Bob. Bob Griffin. Hey, Bobby. Yeah. That's your name now, dog. I am not for this. You see this guy here? I'm not for this. Even though he came on my lawn and did all this. But you know what, though? Robert Bob Griffin with. With his hootenanny and shenanigans has helped me to understand why it's important for black people, period, to just not say nothing about Angel Reese, even when she out there missing 20 shots. You're right. You are right. Because we be thinking we having a basketball conversation when I come in here on my. Listen, Kaitlyn Clark, Cece. I don't even want to hear that y'. All. I be thinking that we talking hoops. Yeah. Nope, nope. We not really talking hoops. And that's the quiet. That's what Joy tells. That's the quiet part out loud. Yeah. A few people have said that. I'm just talking about me coming to terms with it. Like, I'm gonna approach these conversations differently about Angel Reese because those talks from black people. Yeah. Give not only white people, but the white black people, everybody, the license to do like that. And that's. That's not in my ministry. That's not my ministry. And the criticism. Should the critic. The. The Love should be as loud or even louder than the criticism. No. As an athlete, you would hope that they would at least have that level of respect for each other, just as athletes first. Sure. No matter what the sport is. Football, basketball, man, woman, whatever. You would think at that. You would at least get that level of respect first. Man. Kirk Cousins got you out of here, nigga. Fuck you bitch ass nigga. Fuck. I'm listening to him for On God. Same draft. Jeff. Kirk Cousins. RG Bob. Where does he live? Idaho. Easy. Can't just ask what live. Why you say. I'm not trying to get him. You got to just say. Can't say that helping you. You can say where does somebody live? Not after something. Where not after it sounds like. Yeah. Not after that. Yeah. Yes. What I mean is I wonder what the black population is. Where he lives. Got it. Tracks. See there tracks. Got what else? What else is on our mind? We never touch. We never touch Javante Davis stuff. Right? We can. He was. He was arrested after a domestic assault with his ex girlfriend and mother of his two children. Apparently that happened last month. But he was just arrested. He's been arrested before with getting into something with her, right? Yeah. Was it the one on video? The same one that. When he got arrested the first time it was on video, right? Yes. Javante, man, you are a father and you are great at what you do. Just have to separate now. Now you just have to, while being there for your kids, find a better way to co parent. Cause obviously this is gonna still keep happening. I mean, you know, it's a month later you did something so we could. I could just assume. I don't wanna put that on her or put that on you. I just feel like y' all both gotta find a better way to co parent. Cause at some point it has to stop. Stop. Especially with this particular situation. Not just the co parenting part. If. If there is some level of. And I'm not. I'm not saying that there actually is. Let's just assume he actually is being abusive in whatever way. Go get some help. All that. I'm. I'm not one of those people that think something's happening just because y' all just keep going back and forth. Okay. Like at a certain point we have to take the notion that maybe some do be. Be a little more violent than what the. We think. So if you are abusing this woman, you need to go ahead and get some help for that. Forget the co parenting part. Start there. Go get some help. Go figure out why you keep getting into this type of. Well, if that's what's happening. I'm not saying it is, but if you have a problem where you actually are abusing this woman, go get some help. Got it. We have to stop always thinking that it's always a mutual thing. Sometimes these be bugging. As much as we love them as sportsmen, as much as we love them and how they come across some behind the scenes be. Be wilding. So go get some help. I didn't think nobody was saying that that was some type of mutual responsibility though. Like. Like it was on her at all. No, what I'm saying is that sometimes when we speak about these things, it'd be. It'd be hard for us to speak against men in a certain space because we want to believe that this is a mutual thing that's happening. I think a lot of men, when they hear this and they're like, yo, like what Flip is saying, yo try to figure out how to co parent better. Try to figure out that might not.
Melissa Ford
Even be the average tussle.
Joe Budden
Yeah.
Melissa Ford
Because he can be considered like his hands can be considered weapons. So he's not the average guy.
Joe Budden
But I don't have all the details neither. Me neither. I'm just. What I'm saying is that. So when you hear like in my mind, ignorantly, when you hear that, oh, this happened a month ago, if they're still around each other, my ignorance side would say, I wonder what happened to make her go file charges. But then I can also say like, this could have happened and they couldn't have. They couldn't find him. And then now they're seeing him. A warrant could have been put out at that time. You understand? I don't have the details to just be speaking recklessly. And I don't wanna speak reckless. So the best option for me was I just think it's fair for us to affect both of them. I just think it's fair for us to speak to whatever advice on whatever side of the fence to land on. Because a lot of times you're gonna say solely speak to one side. Yeah, you're right. That's going to seem like we're ignoring the possibility that he might really be a out here bugging out and might need some help. Got you. If you are, then go get some help. If you're not, please, like you said, figure out how to separate and do it in a positive way. The anger management boy, I'm making you grow. You just laid hands on Woody. Shut up. That was. I didn't Want to come up here? That was a man. If you got a problem.
Melissa Ford
Problem?
Joe Budden
I just saw the Woody video. Boy, that was a months ago. It's February again. You just saw it? You repurposed it? No, come on again. You know Flip ain't playing. Get to that. I'm trying to get to. I'm trying to get. I'm trying to get to. Just be good, be happy. Trying to get to where Z at. He ain't letting that Z go now. Here. See you you. He'll help you gain understanding. I hope he do. Are you confused? No. Yeah, I am. Okay. Extremely clear. Bright, stay that way. He'll clear it up. Clear that up like suit or you. You still got to see me too me what I do to you if you co sign. Yeah, you co signed him already. So that means that if. If I. Whatever I can't do with him, I'm. I'm going try to do with you. All right. You and Cory had to jump me. I imagine Z could fight better than me just cuz he 27. In your 20s. Just off the age alone. Off the age alone. Just off his breathing alone. Yeah. We didn't even get to the weight classes. I think they should be age classes. Like when I'm outside. I want to fight that 50 live like me like that. Tomorrow your hand gonna hurt like for no reason. Yeah, your knee might. 25, 26 year olds, they got some advantages. But before they go, go get the gun token. What else? What else? What else? What else? What else is save Gary Coleman, huh? You want to continue our argument? Fall, Fall. Fall weather versus. It's not even close. I mean I'm down. I don't even think it's much of an argument. It's not even close. I don't think it's close at all. Babe. What was the argument? Fall versus summer.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, we don't even have a.
Joe Budden
And preferably. And preferably New York fall versus New York State summer. Because I don't really care about what they do in Idaho. Yeah. So the argument in New York when full is approaching that little late September. That's the best in the world. That's nice jackets. It started from them saying get the. Get this weather out of here. I'm trash. Come over summer. I'm over this. Yeah. Thank you. Oh, okay. Y' all can have that. That 101, 102. Love it out of here. Yo, yo. Earth is over summer. You don't feel time moving faster in the summer? Earth over us? Well, Earth is gonna kill us. I'll be going before then. My great greats, they. They gonna be here when. When the Angelo with a big bang hit they gonna have. Yes, exactly. But yeah, time just moves so much faster now in the winter. Yes. It's cause is moving. Doing a lot of movement in the summer. I'm not even mad at the New York winters now. Word. Because they've been my January, February is still shitty. New Yorkers know it to be. Yeah, true. Because the climate control and the government changing thing, they hit the button on the weather in New York be 45 last winter. It wasn't too many times you had to put the big coat on. What you ate last. What you ate last night? Freeze. Because I think we. We got our layers point. What you ate last night? Chicken. Broccoli. Chicken and broccoli. How about the night before, night before we went out. How about the night before? Night before we had steak. What you mean with the steak? Potatoes. Know what you eat in the fall, that fall winter, that comfort food start coming alive. For real. For real. Not all this, bro. Like chili, some soup. I don't like chili. Say you don't like soup. Smack the out of your ass. Shut the up. I don't like soup. Like soup. No kind of soup. Soup. Soup is the best food in the planet. Bam. I'm not a soup eater. I would eat soup three meals. She told me something. Stop it. Yo. Good. I ain't stopping. Yo. Word is out on you. Yeah. Your girl had a dream like no soup. I'm not ramen. Oh, my God, he's about to see that. Yo, could you give him a raise? I just want this to get some more money so he can change. Hopefully he means real good ramen.
Melissa Ford
Not out the package, bro. You don't mean the one out the package, do you?
Joe Budden
Wait, there's this packet ramen in here.
Melissa Ford
No, we're not.
Joe Budden
We're talking about like no one ever eats that. By the way, it's the same package that's put in there for.
Melissa Ford
But you just need five years.
Joe Budden
You gotta have it though. You gotta have it though. Gotta have it. Eat that them. I follow on them. Little Chef. I follow on Instagram. Make that different. What they gonna make? They look rule they sauce with the garlic and they not eating that. No, it's not. They don't use that package. But they do use those noodles. The noodles? Yeah. When I make ramen from scratch, I'll put the. I'll still take noodles. Maybe not from them, but I would you take from a top Top? I would. I Would in a pinch. Yeah. I don't tell nobody else. You don't like soup? I don't. I'm not. It's too many soups to even say that it's a closed off mind. You never had a nice. Don't like clam chow. A lobster bisque, a lobster beef barley. But what I'm saying is I just ordered some tomato basil. Tomato biscuit. What I'm saying. Let me. Let me clear this up. Yes, I great soups, but that's not my go to. I'm not a soup guy. If I'm at a. I've never been at a restaurant maybe and had lobster bisque.
Melissa Ford
No amuse.
Joe Budden
Boosh. It's not even ordered. No lobster bisque bisque. No. That's not what I get off the appetizers. What's that? What the.
Melissa Ford
It basically it's like a palette cleanser. So it'll be like a watermelon kind of, you know, gazpacho.
Joe Budden
Oh my. It's a moos moosh. That's like. Is that like a soup? We know you had that.
Melissa Ford
Classified as a soup.
Joe Budden
Not a big gpacho guy though. I'll be honest. In the summertime now, everybody is outside. It's congested is traffic. So to spot the attractive women you have to fill. Hit. Hit the advanced search and filter behind these dirty infested versus the fall. Now wait, time out. I want to go back to food for one second because I do have to put up a defense. Grilling. Cooking out in the summertime is elite food.
Melissa Ford
Right?
Joe Budden
Meats grilling. That's true. I hate to break it to you, but ain't even doing that. I hate to break it to you, buddy. Some of the people that I know grill in the fall, get the grilling in the fall. In the winter. Yeah. But it ain't the same. It ain't the same. It's. That's true.
Melissa Ford
Yeah. Corn is not available. All the veggies I still grill into the winter.
Joe Budden
But it's not the same. Where are you from, girl?
Melissa Ford
I don't see corn in the vegetable. In the vegetable produce section.
Joe Budden
In the winter they make all this. It's not as good. They make all this now it's year.
Melissa Ford
Round, as good as summer.
Joe Budden
It ain't real no more anyway. It all come from. I can see to your grill point is doping something you. You get the grill points though. What other points y' all got? You summertime people.
Melissa Ford
The pool.
Joe Budden
The pool. The pool.
Melissa Ford
Which I'd like to be at right now.
Joe Budden
The pool.
Melissa Ford
Beach.
Joe Budden
The funny thing, though. Beach. Beach. No, no, we know. No, no, no. Oh, no. You up about 675. That's. That's definitely the suit. Crazy. That's funny. The beach. I'm thinking about going to the beach this weekend. Oh, man, I. With all that, you think I'm putting my toes in that dirty brown water? You out your mind? Got a foot massage. And now he don't want to put his feet in the New Jersey. No, not a foot massage. He did not get a foot massage.
Melissa Ford
Detox.
Joe Budden
I got the foot massage and a dick. Detox. That's. He got the full. He got the experience. Boy, two hands, right? Had a different walk going out there, didn't you? How you doing? You heard me talking about now I'll just be home. I bet you will be home, ass. We're talking about the car wash. So I hate to inform you guys and the audience, I won't be here on the 25th. Can't get away with cheap shoes in the fall. Wait. Oh, back to that. No, go ahead. No, you're right. Hold on. You gotta dress for real. And wait. July 25th. I won't be here. All right, so we off July 20th. Yeah. Put that in the calendar. Calendar right now. No working. Well, if y' all off July 25th, then y' all are off foot. Everything after. So y' all gotta come to work. But I bring it up to say that this will be my first. First time taking a trip with both my kids, like Al. Oh, man, you don't mind Turks. How long I'll be back for the next part. It's just. It's just y'. All. Or you going with the lady and all that with your girl. Nor know this. Yo, yo. No, my lady gone. She bring her kids. She bring her kids. Family. The family trip. Say that. Don't just say bringing the kids. All right. That's dope. Well, yeah, that. I mean, that's dope. But I have never been out of the country with both of my children. And I damn, wasn't doing it without her help. Yo, pj. No, I thought. I'm tight right now. Now I'm tight. I know y. Y' all ain't never Joe. You can't even if you are like you. That's though. No, it's not. Yes, it is. Why that is. You can be tight. Yes, you can be tight. We not going to believe it. That's all.
Melissa Ford
Oh, facts.
Joe Budden
But y' all should. No, we shouldn't. I don't believe you. But you could be tight. You never believed me when I was broke. You didn't believe me. So it's worse now. Did you saw it all your money? No, no, I meant just trust. I didn't mean the money aspect of it. Sometimes. Yeah, we. We going to Turks. I love both of them needed a passport. You got a sign. They got a both side. Well, their mother got sign. Lex got a side. Trey is old enough. Yeah, that's right. You can get a not. You can get a notarized letter. She don't have to be there to sign. Yeah, she don't have to sign. Before it was day. You both got to be there. Shout out to Cynthia. You know, I mean, that's dope. I love you for that. That's real. But I mean, I'm excited about it, so. And I ain't going to hold you. I do need a break. I need a break. Like three, four day trip real quick. Something like that. Yeah, that's dope. Four days. Little six. Little seven. Seven. Yo. Make it back on time. Yeah, yeah. Don't. Flight delay, Flight delay. I'm hopping on. I'll be back. Back for work. You heard him. That's how tight I am. I ain't missing. No, I ain't missing work. So good. See this what you be up at. You had. You was with him, right? He said, yo. You said, yo, if I. If a flight delay. Flight delay, I'mma hop on the yamin. Which means it ain't that tight. No, it's that tight. No, it means you wouldn't prefer to hop on the yamin. But the ability to hop on the yamin, it ain't that tight. It's too tight for me to miss work. That's what it means. I cannot miss work. It's tight. I need to be at every pod till October and y' all could chill. I know some of the fans want to hear y' all without me anyway. Mark and all that. Hey, in two weeks, I'm gone, yo. So when you go? Flip is sitting there, cuz. That's how we usually did. Did it when. When you was gone. No, my. Flip will still sit here. Me and Mark spoke about it yesterday. All right, Don't. Flip will still sit here. What you mean? You and Mar. You can't. You can't figure that about me? Who the Had a whole meeting on you, sir. You can't speak that siding with Amani against me, man. You can't. Why you keep doing what you ask? Good question. Why you keep. Yeah, but you asking Good questions. You supposed to be Patreon only. What you mean? What you mean you wouldn't spoke about what? Flip going to sit? Are you crazy? Who you talking to? What are you talking about? It's bad. You can't speak to Mark Lamont Hill about where Flip said he gotta talk to Flip about that. Right? Exactly. No, he's the lieutenant. That's not true. You have to. No, he's not the lieutenant no more. He's not the lieutenant no more. Y' all dapping. That's funny. Come on, man. That was funny. Flip.
Melissa Ford
Always sit there.
Joe Budden
You always sit here, always run. Nah, but I don't like that. I don't like the way he said it, man. You know what I'm saying? Come on, man. We don't have a drop yet. No, Mel got a drop. Mel got a drop. I don't care about a drop. But you. So why you bring it up and come conversation. Yo, mind my business. Ever since got up right now. Okay. Me and Mark spoke about. We're Flip sitting, cuz. You know why? He tried to tell Mark, hey, I want you to run le. Mark and Mark had to tell him. Yeah, yeah, I know. I know how the conversation went. You. I'm not coming in that way. Fire me. Fire me. I'm taking on too. No way. I know that conversation. I want to see. Yeah, shout out to Mark. That's crazy, son. We might. We might just that fast. Yo, Flip is so good at you saying one thing and him knowing exactly what happened. He's good at that. Flip is good anyway. Yeah, you run point, man. You sit here. No, wait. Now you're not running point. I'm a father, remember when I asked freeze, I said, yo, why? Well, I asked the cast like, yo, why y' all keep let free? No, they helped me that number. You did. And I was tight about it for a couple weeks. I ain't curse you out, dog. Whatever you said I was mad at, but I couldn't say it. Cause you were speaking for the. For the squad. But. But my point in that was, yes, I know that Flip wanna do it. And y' all let him do it. But try it. Take the training wheels off the bike like somebody else. So now that Mark is here, I don't assume that it's not gonna be Flip. Flip is the person. Flip's here. No, you try to say, mark, I'm not gonna be here. So what are you. But why you ain't speak to. Why you ain't speaking? Brother Mark. Brother Mark. When you see brother Flip, tell him see. Tell him sit here. Tell him, sit here. Tell him, sit here, brother. When you see brother Trevor looking for brother Flip, brother Trevor, brother Trevor to my office immediately. Honestly. Yes. Mark was going off there. Y' all don't care about nothing. He was like, hey, you know what? Don't take all that out. Nah. He had already text Parks. Yeah. Yo, when pause get the text, he over small. Neither parts just respond with his face. He don't say nothing in the text. Your pause do this for me. Look at it. Look at you. Okay, talk. No, no, smart. Send me the. I'll do the and then that's it. I was looking at the other day when Joe was on his phone. I was looking at Joe and itch text thread, and I just see a lot of messages from Ish. And in my head, I'm like, yo, Joe, text my man back. Even I know what he's sending him. But nigga, text say something. It's just mad Ish. Mad gray. Bad gray. Joe reading it. I'm like, this look crazy. Trying to cause trouble. Text that back. Say thanks or something. Nigga, why he was going through my phone? Cause I like it. I'm nosy. Oh, you hear this, nigga? I like to see what y' all write and what y' all do. Look, look, my man get sending bread. Yeah, sending bread again, Boy, I'm not sending bread. You know I'll be sending jokes because it's tight this month. No, this all in my phone. No, I was looking at his phone. You guys see it on his. It's just mad Ish text. Like a lonely. It's not that. Okay, does anybody else have anything Texting them to picks ass. I got you. Does anybody else have anything that they would like to get off of their chest? We won't bet be back here for a few days. So anything you want to share with your audience, private or public, personal or not, about yourself, what's in your ministry before we get out of here? Are we doing sleepers today? Yeah, why not? Why we can't just do part of the show? I like the sleeper list thing. You like what? I like the sleeperless episodes. Why? It's too long. Just do part of the show. Let's answer on the low. I like part of the show. Let's go. Get the out of here, right? No, you're staying with Patreon today. Mel, you can stay too. No, you made a deal with her. Let her go home. Let me go. She could, man. I had a long talk with Mel outside Before she signed this new contract. Yeah, you. Yo, we gonna work you, girl. Oh. All them days off. We gave you some days off. But if you get back, we working. We need mail. She's hip hop. You know what's so crazy? M? It be. It's the new ones. Me and you got this. We got that clause in our. Man. She's hip hop. Mel, look at me. Yeah, I'm serious. We got that clause. We was getting crazy. We was doing our whole off and getting paid. Mel was wild. We.
Melissa Ford
You made it hot more than him.
Joe Budden
Who made it hot, Corey. Who made, me or Mel? Mel made it happen. She it up. She did it up. It was Mel and that three week suspension where you went out and had fun and made money. Now we done. Now we done. The suspension will mean suspension. Yo, you suspended. All right. You suck my dick. I'm act like lit. Yeah, and on the gram with it, too. That even acquired a little. That was on the GR out. I will shoot you and W. Clef, come over there. You better have security at the game. Clef is my Jersey brother. But no, man, all right. Part of the show. I ain't read none of this in a while because kicked up. Oh, holy. See them get your patreons because of marrow. Y, stop blaming my.
Melissa Ford
Look.
Joe Budden
What Marrow Bring out the worst in me. All right, all right. Let's see. Here we go. I ain't ready. Look at this nigga. See, it was like when you leave Twitter for like three weeks and then you go back. It's like, look at this. Y' all still here. All right, this nigga says, look, I'm Donut. Yes, that is my real name. I would like to be part of the jbn. So much so that I'm willing to accept any offer made and start tomorrow. Oh, hold up now. All right, don't donuts. No. I'm not crazy or bum. I'm just ambitious, passionate, highly resourceful, and willing to do whatever it takes. Hey, Donut, you stay right there. Let me see if I got somebody else in here, all right, that needs our help. Some nigga named Chris.
Melissa Ford
What's up, Chris?
Joe Budden
Chris says, currently in a four year relationship. Engaged with twin two year old daughters. My first and only kids. Congratulations. Sex has been dry for a year now. Oh, not congrats. I watched it drop from a few times a week to once a month. Oh, mind you, we both agreed cheating is a deal breaker. But she added that porn for me is a deal breaker as well. Yeah, it's a deal breaker. All right. I'M against it. I'm against it due to the lack of sex. I used to be with a Dominican that had similar views about porn. So give up that. Yes, he says. He says I'm against it due to the lack of sex. I feel like I am being punished. I have to sneak porn to get my rocks off these days as a man, I'm starting to second guess this relationship and call off our engagement. God damn, that's a lot. Am I being selfish? Well, am I being selfish? Mind you, I'm only 34, but this relationship has me feeling 54. And I'm sure there's 54 year olds getting more action than me. I need help. Distinguished pod. All right, Chris, I actually feel you on that. I'm glad that. That's a good question. Yeah. Yeah, I'm glad that we did that. That's unfair deal breaker on her part. Yeah. If you already Not. Not as giving with the. With sex. Now you gonna tell him he can't watch porn either. Yeah. Why you. Why you ain't say box? You was about to say the box. I was about to say the box. Yeah, I was. They both being selfish. Both. How he. How he being selfish? Oh, hell. Oh. This how you get money. This. I'm every man. Listen, y'. All. He being selfish. This how you keep him. This how you get him. Look. This how you get him. Go ahead. Look. Look at them. Look at him. Consider the fact that they just had new. New children, right? Twin, two years ago. Twin. Cool. Even still, that's still. It's still a heavy duty. We not talking about postpartum. Go ahead. We not talking about. We just talking about the duties that come with just raising two kids. Two twins at that. That could. One kid alone is a lot. So let's just assume in her brain she don't have really the energy or the time to put into giving you like she used to do. Cool. It's still selfish that she is not considering the fact that his cool. Which is why I said they both selfish. How is. How is he selfish, though? I'm still. Because he might not be also considering the toll that raising these two kids. So why can't I get a nut why I can't watch porn? You get to explain that. I understand you, sweetie. Good. Yeah, I get. I get. I get her. She's a part of her being selfish as well. Not understanding the needs that he needs with him. Her being selfish. I'm asking you, how is he if he's not?
Melissa Ford
The selfishness is concerned.
Joe Budden
Selfishness is not understanding the fact that whatever's happened to her body, whatever's changing in her life as far as raising these two kids might be taking a toll where she can't physically please him or. I get what you're saying. So he's not. He's being selfish and not considering the fact that that's why they're having an issue right now. She's being selfish by not allowing him to find some other way to be satisfied. You want to go with me? He acknowledged her. Yeah. He's saying, I understand she's going through some things. Let me fap away, though. Conversely, I want to go get my nut off watching porn. I'm not cheating. I'm not cheating. They said it's a deal breaker. So if you going through whatever you're going through that I can't necessarily understand, I can at least go over here and get two on. Get them girls. I can't go visit the hub, which is the selfish part of her. I hear what you're saying. So how. How would he not be. What would he do to not be? So they said they went. They said they went from doing whatever to maybe once a month. Right, Right. Just being okay with that. Nah. Okay, well, she. I don't agree with you, E, but. And listen, and listen. She never said jerk. She. He never said jerking off was a problem. She said the porn was. He got to go off the do. You got to do. You can't go up the do. Got to go off the do. Got think about mental. Thank you. That's the money, y' all you talk about. You catch him on every Patreon. Y crazy. Absolutely not. Yo, that's crazy. And it especially sound nuts, cuz I already know what this Puerto Rican do if he don't get no sex. Yeah, you don't know. Mel, what are your. What's your opinion? Stop. No, I'm not trying to be funny.
Melissa Ford
No, I agree with Imani. I think.
Joe Budden
Really?
Melissa Ford
Yeah, I do. I. I don't understand why she doesn't want him to watch.
Joe Budden
We going to dog pal, y'. All. Oh, you didn't. Where's he selfish? He said.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, he said she's being selfish by not providing, like, not allowing him to have an outlet. And he's being selfish by not being. Not considering the toll that having two children is.
Joe Budden
Okay, can I.
Melissa Ford
No, no, no. I'm. I'm saying what he said.
Joe Budden
I wish I'll get off of Imani's point, though. No, I don't. Mel said she's agreed that they both being selfish, but I will. I'm still stuck on how dude is selfish. If he's. He could understand all of those things. He could understand this whole. I could do all of this. Okay, we're not having sex right now. Cool. She has a parent. Let me just get my off over here.
Melissa Ford
Yeah, right.
Joe Budden
But her saying, yo, you can't even do that. You can't watch porn, cuz. You know what the alternative is? Go get some new box.
Melissa Ford
I get that, but does it have to be.
Joe Budden
Who's the primary parent?
Melissa Ford
They're engaged, so I'm. I'm assuming they live together in the.
Joe Budden
Event that we not engaged. And I decide that I can't take this style of living and I go get a condo by the beach.
Melissa Ford
It's sounding like she's primary.
Joe Budden
Okay.
Melissa Ford
I. I don't know what that means.
Joe Budden
Me either, but I know. Ask Dr. Cayenne. Come on. I don't know, cuz. I noticed. Nigga's brain is different. Did he say how long this was going on for? Nobody knows what it mean, but everybody know when you got. When you got that. That other crib. Nobody knows what it means, but everybody, I'm sure, is familiar when got to go get that other crib. We probably can't talk about it here, right? I don't know.
Melissa Ford
My bigger question is, like, why is he asking us? Why don't you fucking ask her why you're.
Joe Budden
Why she won't even let him jerk off. He values the male camaraderie that we have and wants to get our thing.
Melissa Ford
Okay, but you might want to ask your girl, why aren't we fucking? Is there. Is there more than a partner?
Joe Budden
No, because now that's being fetish and insults. That's selfish and insensitive. That's dope.
Melissa Ford
So you. Okay, so wait, hold on a second. You'd rather end the engagement and leave the relationship than actually communicate? He did.
Joe Budden
Did.
Melissa Ford
He said, I'm thinking about breaking up this engagement.
Joe Budden
So he doesn't rather. So that's why he's talking to a group of men saying, hey, am I bugging? Cause my mind is taking me to eat to be ready to leave this relationship. Am I bugging now? No, no, no. What's his name? What's his name, too? He didn't say. Chris. You are bugging. If you are contemplating leaving your relationship and your newborn children, my nigga, go in that bathroom, handle your hand money. Take that cell phone in there, lock that door and get buckets. Or you got a woman that you're engaged to that you just had kids with. Go figure a way to have the conversation with her in a positive way. I'm not disagreeing with that. Yo, Chris, open up that gram. I don't know if these y' all taking this position is gonna force me to say uncomfortable things. Yo, you Graham. And do what? Say it, nigga. Cause no one up here has been successful in marriage outside of him so far. So it ain't like we. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Sorry. Whoa, whoa. My bad, I'm sorry. Whoa, whoa, whoa. My bad. I swear, you be on flip the next. Yo, don't do that. Nah. You know he gonna avoid your contract. So outside of Flippin Parks, no one up here really knows what they should be doing in that situation. In what situation? Cause no one else up here is engaged. No one else up here is married outside of them. So how would you handle your marriage at that point? I'm telling him what Joe Budden would do, which is why Joe Budden is unmarried. I would leave Shorty and them two kids to fend for themselves. Okay, you see?
Melissa Ford
All right.
Joe Budden
I wouldn't do that. See what I'm saying? I'm not gonna be in no house unhappy. And. And. And somebody trying to make it sound. Somebody trying to justify why that should be my new norm. No one's telling me what to do with my body. Yeah. I ain't gonna hold you. My body, my trust. Yeah. If I want to jerk my dick, I'm jerking my dick. Is my body my dick. She never said don't jerk your dick. If I'm engaged to you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Right? Yeah. You had kids with you. It sound like a beautiful, beautiful. So my happiness should be as important as yours. That's what I'm saying. And my other question, she said, he said that Shorty said porn is a deal breaker for her. So are you. Well, you willing to walk away from this engagement because I'm watching porn and because you ain't me. Me and you. Not me. See, women could be unrealistic sometimes. That's not like, what are we doing? That's. The therapist will come in and tell Shorty that that's not realistic. And I ain't gonna hold you. Chris, you young. You say you 34. I'm a little older, my friend. Group is even older. You will be surprised at how many 60 year old plus men are dealing with. Hey, how do I cope with not being sexually satisfied? That's not a 60 year old partner. Not yo Most married. No, I'm saying most married men that I know them don't be getting no hump. Yeah, but in man. I guess what I'm saying is the stories that I hear today, it's not just I'm not getting none at home. It's. And my partner don't give a yo. In a lot of those situations, a lot of people. That's what it is. A lot of those situations, people have. Have newborns. A lot of. If you really talk to enough people who are newly in that situation, they say that this is a phase that most people go through. When you have new kids, when you have a new situation and people trying to adjust, this is one of the places that get affected the most. Your sex life. Agreed. The most positive thing to tell this man would be figure a way to have that conversation with her. How do we address this in a way not sneak to go figure out how you can go watch the porn or something? Well, he's sneaking because he tried to have that conversation. We don't know. No, it seems like they did because the woman seems. No, they had a deal breaker conversation. They had a deal breaker conversation. Yo, your porn watching is a deal breaker. Now he says she added that. So that means they did have a conversation about him watching porn. Okay, that's true. And y' all could try to make. Y' all could try to make it sound nuts for him to be questioning his engagement. But another thing that I think women sleep on sometimes is that. That the same way women grow up with this perfect picture vision of how they would like their lives to be designed. So do men. That's a fact. So do men. So you go about trying to achieving it. Design your. And the second that one small little wrinkle in the plan don't go right then. Then the whole. Especially when. Especially when you sitting there like, yo, this is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. Which means all other women are out of here now. It's the only person that I want to be fucking enemies for life. So when we not keeping it a buck, we not. Oh, I'm trying to. Yeah, me too. My nigga. You better be lucky. He not going to fuck nobody. Well, that's what I'm speaking to. I know that, but we tiptoeing, my nigga. He has other options. So the fact that he wants to go jerk off privately is a. A testament to his commitment in the relationship. Were you saying what I thought? I was just saying in a much. I was saying it nicer the fact that he's thinking about contemplating ending his engagement prior to stepping out. True. What are we talking about? This is a good. This a good man. We shouldn't hear that and be like, damn, you willing to risk it all. No, I don't. I would prefer not to. I prefer not to. Especially when have twins. When have twins, they never leave. Okay, girl, we got twins. So see the golden goose. That's right. So the advice of this man should be, don't try to figure a way to keep doing the. That ain't getting no real results if the is just go talking your meat. See, and that's my beef. That's why don't want to. That's not a resolve. That's not a fix to what's the problem, but the problem. And that's when it turns and I'm getting my slight hurt me and my dick is a problem. Hold up. He can't fix her. Stop it, man. The overall problem is that they're not having sex. True. That's the overall problem. He already addressed that. No, it's not. Joe. That's exactly what the problem the overall problem is. She won't let him do plan B when they not having sex. But they wouldn't be a plan B if we can fix plan A. But he loves her, so he's not trying to fix play A. You don't want to me, don't me, but don't impede me from going about what I see. That's an insane, insane thought because. Do you think it's. It's an insane thought because there's no way in the world you're going to sustain a marriage going that long without having that plan A fix. It's not necessary. A lot of that's not even true. You ain't never been married. You in here wouldn't go that long just beating your dick with your wife. That's not the point. Your wife just had a baby. So let her sit over there, go through whatever she's going through emotionally, hormonally, and all that other stuff. And we. And when you come around to having sex, sweetie, I'm here. I'm right here. And you. And you can't say, yo, you need to get over it and come me because that's insensitive to the woman that just had a baby. That's not what anyone's saying. You said go have a conversation to fix plan A. Find a positive way to have that conversation that you can start to fix plan A. What if you can't Fix plan A right now. E. Yeah. E. That's in that. Because her body and her hormones and her emotions are not ready to fix plan A Or you don't know what they're reproductive plans are. Like, y' all all making assumptions about a bunch of that. He didn't even add into the story his wife won't fuck him. We're not assuming that. He said him and his wife, they're having sex once a month at this point. It's been like that for a year. So obviously she will have sex with me at a certain point. There might be other reasons to why they don't have sex. Cool. We don't know what those reasons are. How about start talking about those reasons first instead of the plan A being now. I'm just gonna beat my dick until you get around to it. What if she never gets gets around to it? What if he just gets so caught up in that result? He answered that too. He answered that. He answered that too. That's not the positive way to go about fixing something within your marriage. I'm not disagreeing. They're also not married. They're also not married. You are assuming that he has not communicated with her. He has. We all assume an extra. He said that in their conversations, the wife said, yo, jerking off. I mean, watching. Watching porn is a deal breaker for her. So they've addressed some sort of sexual something in conversation. And have you not. And I can't get money over here, yo. Yeah. You being selfish? Yes. I'm not being selfish. I think him being selfish is going to mad women outside. Yeah. And in closing, I do think that that's just an important footnote for all women out there listening. If you not him, then redact it. Gotcha. For real. Because women struggle with that. No, if he wants to, Women do struggle with that. Women be like, I. I. Yeah. I'm not you. Because my body, my hormones and my right. Yeah. I'm just not feeling sexy. I know that stand. But it's been eight, nine months, and y' all are in a faithful, committed relationship. What are you expecting that man to do? So when he go do it, it can't say nothing. Yeah, I got it. Or she. Yeah, I got it. Yeah. Okay. We did it best. Peace. Oh, we helped you, Chris. Yeah. Yeah. Best of luck, my friend. Nor we know this man. Lock that door, Chris. Going buck that. I don't want this sleepers. All right, let's go. Let's go. Sign us out. That's bad. It's not. Might be. It might Be over. No, it ain't over, but we'll alternate. Like, when we do part of the show, we won't do sleepers. Think sleepers should be like a Wednesday thing on Fridays. Let's just. It's Friday. I mean, got good luck, Chris. Yeah, indeed. Word. Now they're saying we too harsh. Back to it. Brand new clips album in your phone and on DSP right now. What y' all doing this weekend? Anything fun? Anything fun? Chilling. Chilling. No plans yet. I might be outside, though. It's been a. It's been a summer outside. I'm continue to be outside. Why not? Why not? Love island finale, man. Oh, that's true too. Sunday. Yo, we might have a little thing. Yeah, I already heard. Okay, I've been catching up on that Love island. So I'm definitely going to whoever's doing a little watch party. Yeah, the Love island finale is Sunday, you say? Yeah, my girl is here. We could binge that real quick. No, you can't. Why?

In case you gotta get a girl out of the pool, that ain't supposed to be somebody trespassing in the pool. Somebody live on a whole nother block, you see, with some bathing suits and fashion Novas.
