Cara Gereau, LMFT, is a somatic psychotherapist, transformational couples coach, and the founder of Equine Somatic Pathways. Her method blends somatic psychology, equine ethology, and relational horsemanship to help people restore connection to themselves and others - while centering the horse’s welfare, regulation, and agency. She’s also the author of I Love Your Heart and All Your Feeling Parts, a children’s book that introduces families to parts work. Cara’s early experiences with complex childhood trauma led her away from herself and into a highly successful corporate career. In adulthood, relationships brought a reckoning. A mind–body shift opened the way to a profound spiritual reclaiming, reshaping how she understands the self and connection. Today, her work is devoted to the path of relationship as a guide for restoring regulation, truth, and connection - between humans, and between humans and horses.
