Bring a friend, bring a friend. Bring a friend, bring a friend, friend, friend. Tell a friend, tell a friend, tell a friend. Friend, friend. Help with this show. I love doing this show. My complaint, my complaint. My complaint is when government websites don't work. If there's a problem with a government website, you get to that problem and then you go, now what? I guess I'll try again tomorrow and hope that the government, which is known for not doing great work, usually we'll get to this. Like, who do you even call? It makes you feel small. And I'll give you the example. My registration has run up. I didn't know that. I didn't know in Florida your registration runs up on your Birthday. That is a fact. That is something. If you live in Florida, that might be helpful for you in the future. Maybe it sticks in your brain. You never forget it. I don't have me to remind me. You know, I. I don't have this podcast. This podcast came out a year ago. I would know this. I didn't know this. Your registration runs up on your birthday. I was driving on A1A. A1A is a fabulous drive. If you're going to drive in Florida on the east coast, get on a 1A, turn on some music and have a drive. It is beautiful, wonderful, awesome and makes you happy. I, I would say driving on A1A is something that gives me a lot of pleasure after having moved here. I live near A1A. I am on the beach side, which is lovely. I love living near the beach. I'm a 10 minute walk from the beach. Based on this story, you could find where I live pretty easily. That won't make my, my lady, my girlfriend happy, but I'm just telling the story because it's really. I, I'm annoyed. I'm frustrated. They've closed down the bridge on my street. There's a bridge that takes you to over the intercoastal and takes you to town. There's three bridges in Delray Beach. There's George Bush, there's Atlantic, there's Linton. Those three bridges connect the beach to the mainland. They've closed down my bridge which is a quick right out of my apartment, takes you into town. Easy peasy breezy, beautiful covergirl. So now I have to, to get into town. I, I have to make a quick left and then either take a left on a 1A which takes me to Boynton or I make a right which takes me to Atlantic Avenue which is the main street of Delray Beach. Most likely I'm gonna make a right on a 1A to go to Atlantic Avenue and make my way into town. Now on the way to the airport, if I want to go to the airport, I have to go left on A1A to go towards Palm Beach. That takes me north. And you have to drive through a town that is one street called Gulf Stream. Gulf Stream and Highland beach are two towns that are literally one street. There is no town. It is, I'm sure the history of it. I'm sure if there was like a two minute TikTok on it, it would be fascinating to hear why these towns are towns. But they're towns and they have their own fire departments and police force but they're Covering like a block basically. And it's longer than a block, it's probably three miles each. These are two three mile towns, one to my right, one to my left. So to go to the airport I have to go now instead of going over the bridge which is now being fixed, I have to make a left and then a left on A1A and go through Gulf Stream, which is a three mile town. Over the course of this three mile town, which is one street, there's like five police officers. Their only job is to catch people doing wrong in their town. And if you're driving on A1A and you drive on this road, I would say to you, make sure you are driving the speed limit. They are there to make money and to get you. This is a money making operation. Now I would also say, well, I'll get to this. But. So I leave my apartment, take the left, go towards Boynton, and I'm going 40 in a 35. Here come the police. I pa, you pass five police on this one road. I'm exaggerating, it is three, it can be four, it might be five. I make a left, I make a left. I go on a 1A. I'm going 40. Police comes up behind me, lights on. I pull over, turn on my blinkers. It was a female police officer. I say, hello ma', am, I'm. I, I, they go, license please. Registration please. She says, you, your registration has, has, has run up. And I said I had and this is when I found out. She goes, it runs up on your birthday. And I said, I am so sorry, I had no idea. She said, no problem, let me just go run your license. And then I'm going to give you a warning. And I would get this fixed and taken care of because after six months you will have to go into the DMV and I will say these. The, the police officer was wonderfully nice and informative. Everything she said, she brings back my license, okay, here's your warning. Go on the website and do it. Then I try to go on the website and can't find my information, no information, can't pull it up. And I've tried and given up seven different times. Now let's fast forward. I do a month on the road, I go on the book tour, 25 days away, I get in my car, I still haven't done the registration. I go on a 1A, same spot, go through Gulf Stream. Another police officer, the exact spot that I had the issue before, pulls me over and I'm going, oh God, I've tried to get this registration taken care of. The website isn't working. It's not fighting my information. I pull over, he says, sir, it looks like your registrations run up. And I'm like, I, I and I said to him, I go, listen, I know this sounds like an excuse, which it is, but I have tried on the website and it's just not finding my information and I'm really sorry. And it's something I want to get done because I don't want to go to the dmv and I, I go, and it's also crazy. I got pulled over at this exact same spot and the officer who was very nice gave me this information to go figure out and the website doesn't work. And they go, yeah, we have cameras that take pictures of every car that goes by to let us know if, if anything's going on with anyone going by. And I'm like, oh my God, I'm living in big brother. So the frustrating part, and he lets me go, he's very nice. He gives me a warning, he says, my printer's not even working. Just get, get out of here and get it done. Because the, you know you're going to get a ticket and it's going to be even more if it's past six months. He was wonderful. He's the type of cop I want to interact with in inform information and nice and all these things. The frustrating part is that you have a, the technology to be able to take a picture of my moving vehicle from the sky. Yet when I put my information into your website, which is not your website, it's not the Gulfstream website, but it is the Florida dmv. It says license plate not found, you don't exist. So which is it? Are you technologically advanced or do you suck? Because right now you're at both extremes. And what do you know, one extreme makes the town money and one extreme doesn't. Like I'm going to pay my fee. That's gonna. So you pulling me over makes you more money than getting my registration taken care of on your website. That's my issue. So when it's financially in their favor, they're gonna make sure that they have, you know, ant size drones that can find out whether your registration is up or not. But when it comes to going to your website, ah, we'll get to it. Ah, it doesn't work. Oh, it doesn't work. It makes you feel small. What am I going to do? Go to city hall? This is going to be why I run for Mayor of Delray. No, I'm going to shut up. I'm going to now have to go to Publix where they do it at a kiosk in the store. Take a half hour out of my day again. It's the people who lose when these places that we put trust in. You're paying your taxes with the trust that the job will be done well. J train podcast@gmail.com J train podcast gmail.com It's a ticked off Tuesday. I'm ticked off because after this I'm gonna have to go to a Publix. I gotta go and I gotta go and, and, and run the risk that this public's kiosk doesn't work. Just like the website doesn't work. We're sponsored. He's a tough critic, but if you do want to be a part of this show, it's the best way to get involved. I consider this mental health. That's right. Writing out your complaints. What's more fun than that? I had a. I have a. One of the videos went viral on Tik Tok. Viral is very generous. It was from the episode where I talked about the.

The lounges at Marriott Bonvoy, the one in Jacksonville I couldn't get into. And it's funny to see people not get it. You know, I, you know, the clip is to find the clip is. The purpose of the clip is to go viral and then get people to go, what's this show? But I don't even know if people do that. I'm. I'm a little lost right now, you know, if I'm totally honest on what these clips mean or do. Because you would hope someone would see and go, oh, that guy's complaining about the. The. The lounge. That's funny. And then you go, well, what is this? Is there more here? But I don't know, maybe we're past that era. I mean, that's not to get dark, but, you know, we're in a scroll era, not a. Who's this person doing this era? Not good for comedy. I mean, you know, that's why, you know, I gotta figure out these clips. But I, I think. But it was interesting to see people. You know, the reason Ticked Off Tuesday exists is so that you have a comfortable place to complain without someone going, there's bigger issues. And there's a few people in that comment section. Oh, people are dying, Jared. People are dying. And it's like, yeah, that you're the reason Ticked Off Tuesday exists. So listen, if you want to check in with your own mental health, write in J train podcast@gmail.com or join the Patreon. Dear Papa JT, huge fan of the pod and a Patreon member. Thank you. I just saw you at 6 and I on your book tour. We had a great time. Thank you. You can see that full Q and A session on the YouTube channel. All right, here's my Ticked Off Tuesday Facebook Marketplace. As much as I love Marketplace for making a little money on old stuff and giving away things we no longer need so someone else can put them to use, some of the people on there drive me absolutely insane. I would understand that. It's like a yard sale. This is a Facebook, an Internet version of a yard sale. And you're dealing with yard sale people. Everything from the Common everyday grifter to someone who's just kind of browsing. And now you, who are doing this as a side hustle, as you said, like, this is like not your number one priority. You're dealing with people who are treating you as if this is your number one priority, which you also have to acknowledge. You have to say, well, I did sign up for this. I'd say 70% of people are normal. I think that's like the percentages. 70% of people who listen to this show, I'm like, totally normal, totally amazing. Say nothing, never respond to me. Just listen. They're listening right now. And you're. Right now you're listening, going and nodding, going on that 70%. Then you get like 20% who are like the most loving, endearing, amazing people who, who interact with me. And then you get that last 10% where it's your difficult customers. So let's see what the, what marketplace is like that too. I'd say 70% of people are normal, reasonable, easy to deal with. But then there's like the other 30%. I'll post something for free and get responses like, can you ship it to me? Yeah, I, I find relatability in this as a comedian because this happened with the book, you know, the pre orders of the book. I said, I'll make a video. 99 of the people I made a video for, oh my God, this is unbelievable. This is great. Then you get that 1% who's like, yeah, you kind of pronounced this word wrong. Can you redo it for me? And also mention that you love them, like, you know, like, ah. And you go, I signed up for this. You just got to do it. And for you to put something up for free and then going, and then saying, can you ship it to me? Can I pick it up in two weeks? That's not as bad. You know, I'm. They're taking. There is something to them taking this thing off your hands. Can you drop it off to me? I live in such and such neighborhood. That's ridiculous. Of the three, can you ship it to me? Is is crazy. Can now can you drop it off to me as the craziest. Can you ship it to me as a very close second? Can I pick it up in two weeks? Not that bad. Are you fucking kidding me? This is them writing. If I'm literally giving away clothes, furniture, or household items for free, get off the couch and come pick it up yourself. This, the latest one was a woman who asked if I could walk the item to the nearest metro station and bring it to her so she wouldn't have to leave the station and get charged a fair. So they leave a screenshot asking, you know, the person, where is it? What's the closest metro station? I would love to pick it up. Pick up the. The skirt as well, please. If I come by tomorrow, will you be willing to hand it. Kindly bring it to the metro station. I could avoid tapping and not tapping back in. I mean, that is someone who is a real cheapskate. That's like, to me. You ever see those old tiktoks where it's like, watch me turn this pen into $100. And you're like, really? And then this person goes to Facebook Marketplace, sells the pen for a dollar, then finds a way to trade a dollar for this, and then, hey, can you tap me? And that's kind of what this resembles. And you go, hey, good for you. Like, to me, this is where, like, cheapness as a sickness, any sickness, you're willing to take advantage of other people. That's what this person is doing for. For them to say, oh, you got some free stuff on Facebook Marketplace. Thank you. I would love to take your skirt that you're giving away, but by the way, I'm gonna roll by on a public bus. Could you chase up next to the bus and hand it to me while I hold my hand out the window? If you're fast enough, you can catch us and you'll be okay. Just. Yeah, just run up alongside the bus. I'll reach my hand out and. And I'll bring tongs from the kitchen and I'll. I'll tong them in so you can run right? You're. You're a fast runner. The bus slows down a little bit from this block to this block, so why don't you just run up alongside it? Like, that's crazy. At that point, I just instantly block people when I get messages like this. I honestly didn't know. Don't. I honestly don't know what else I could do to make these people realize what a ridiculous ass this is. Thanks for all you do. There is nothing you can do. This is something I had to come to terms with. You're never going to teach these people. And the Internet gave them a very easy route to being a pain in the ass. And they're never going to learn. They're an adult here on Earth. They don't care. It's the same with, like, someone on a dating app. Like, to me, this conversation of, like, hey, can you bring the free thing that you're giving out of the goodness of your heart to the Metro station so I don't have to tap in and out. So it cost me even less money than it would. You could show that to someone who's dating on the dating apps and be like, hey, listen, this is just what crazies do. Like, this has nothing to do with dating. This is just people on the Internet. And because they can, they will. J train podcast gmail.com j train podcast gmail.com Jared just bought the book. Have tickets to your show in Red Bank. Thank you. Here's my ticked off Tuesday short specific. It happened on a Tuesday. I was online at cvs. Woman ahead of me was buying fake nails. She asked the cashier, are these latex free? Because I have a serious allergy to latex. The teenage cashier starts desperately scanning the box. Cashier says to the customer, I'm not sure. Is there a scientific name for latex? The customer then turns to me and asks, is there a scientific name for latex? I reply, I don't know anything about latex or allergies. After some more fussing, the woman buys the nails and leaves. My point. After some more fussing, the woman buys the nails and leaves. My point is, if she's so goddamn allergic. Or wouldn't she? At my point is, if she's so goddamn allergic, wouldn't she talk to her doctor about the safety of these products she uses? Why would she trust the word of a teenage cashier and a complete stranger? Plus, she's in a cvs. Maybe go ask the pharmacist. Literally do anything other than hold up the line. Sincerely, ma', am, I am not a doctor. Yeah, I'm with you. It is. It. It is. If they were asking, hey, how many come in this package that is actually like, fine. You're holding up the line for something specific to the line when you're saying, I have a serious allergy to latex. Well, obviously it's not that serious. If you don't know how to read a box, you to make sure that you do not fall deathly ill. That's. You have a whole. You're an adult here on Earth. How did you get to this point in time? On Earth, living this way. That's what you have to wonder because now what you're doing is you're making us trust anyone who claims to have an allergy less. When someone says, I have a serious allergy to latex and is picking up the box and being like, is it in here? I don't We've just removed the word serious from the conversation. You have an aversion to latex. You don't like latex. You may get the sniffles from latex, but let's get that word serious out of the discussion. You now have a mental problem with latex. That might be something you've invented and that. And now we're all thinking you're a little bit crazy. But when you say. Because what you're doing is I have a serious al. You know what? What? What I don't trust and what I trust less and less is the use of language to get people to do whatever that person wants. So that person who doesn't know how to look at the box and find out if there's latex, now, I doubt their latex allergy says, I have a serious latex allergy. You go, no, you're doing that as a weapon to get us to not question you. You don't want to be questioned, so you call it a I have a serious allergy. No, you just don't like the smell of a certain food. And now you've made everyone else with a serious allergy worse off so that you can hold up a line. J train podcast@gmail.com J train podcastmail.com we love your ticked off Tuesdays, Jared. I'm a Patreon subscriber. That means it goes to the top of the pile. But I couldn't figure out how to add a picture, so I'm writing in here. Okay. You made it. We found it. Love the pod. Congrats on the books. I already ordered. Thank you. I have a ticked off Tuesday about online shopping. The other day I was ordering a skort. So that is a short and a skirt combined into one. A skort online. And there was only one picture of the skirt and that was from a side angle. I'm including the picture. I'm looking at the picture. This picture is less about the score and more about this woman's only fans page. It. It is weird to have this as the only angle because especially for like a fashion item, I'm looking at the picture and she's up against the pole in a what I would describe as a restaurant on the beach of Tulum. It's very bizarre and only because it's one. If it was multiple pictures with multiple angles, you go, okay, I want to see how it looks sitting down. I want to see how it looks walking, and I want to see how it looks while a woman leans against a pole and looks gently to the side asking if you want to come over later like that. I guess I would need that angle too, but it is bizarre as the only picture. It's crazy. This isn't really helpful since I want to see the squirt from the front and back to see how the squirt is. This isn't really helpful be since this isn't really helpful since I want to see the score from the front and back to see how scored I am. This language, how short. This isn't really helpful since I want this isn't really helpful since I want to see the skort from the front and back to see how short it is. And maybe a closeup of the fabric or the waistband would be also very nice. I've noticed this a few other times where the model will be advertising a shirt, but she's sitting down hunched over, and you can't even see half the shirt. I'm okay with these weird poses, but at least include some more pictures from different angles. I totally agree. This feels like the picture was posted for a guy who has a crush on this woman. It doesn't seem like it's to feature the clothing. And everything you said is something I'm sure a woman at home who's in the market for a skort would wonder. I want to know if it's too short. I want to know how tall or short the model is. Like, yes, you want your items to look good and to be featured in a way that, oh, my God, I could see it as a part of my lifestyle. But there's also a functionality route that we all need to do. Like, honestly, this picture does a lot less than the skort laid out on a bed next to, like, a penny for size. Like, I would rather that than this. This is a crazy picture. And the fact it's only because it's the only one. You know, if someone. If you saw this picture amongst five others, you'd go. You wouldn't even notice it at all. But this on its own, you're like, is everyone okay here? Is. Is. Is the. Is the photographer obsessed with this woman? Is the creative director like, is this his girlfriend or wife? What was this meant to be to do? Yeah, I'm with you. This is annoying. I. I love this. Ticked off Tuesday because you want to buy a skirt and you don't want to have to return a score. So now you're looking at this like, and when are you ever going to stand like this? You would never stand like this. No one's wondering, hey, how does the Skort fit while I have my arms up on a pole and I'm. I fucking the bartender.

J train podcast, gmail.com j train podcast, mail.com. we have one more again, this is every Tuesday. Would love for you to share the show. Dear Jared, I have a complaint about your book. Oh. Oh, brace myself. Feelings about to be hurt. Here we go. Okay, let me. Let me. Let me get into feelings hurt mode. All right, let me, Let me. Let me get ready here. I. I gotta. I gotta put on your seat belt. Okay. Get ready for a day ruiner. Here we go. Specifically, the interaction between your audiobook, Spotify, and my car. Oh, thank God. Okay, so it's not about the book. Specifically. I've been listening to your audiobook with Spotify Premium, which is synced to my car, a 2026 model, so it has the latest tech. Every time I get into my car and press play to pick up where I left off with the audiobook, the same chapter I'm on just repeats when it finishes. And if I try to hit the next arrow, it just goes to the beginning of the same chapter again. This is annoying, especially for a book. You want to pick off where you left off. You want to pick up where you left off. You also want the book to. You don't want to, like, go too forward and miss something and have to re. Listen to something. No, this is a disaster. If I try to navigate the chapters of your book using my car console, using my car console, it only tracks. It only shows tracks one through 11. It won't go any further even if I was already playing, for instance, track 18. So, I mean, this is. Sounds like a pain. I'm trying to put this together. If I try to navigate the chapters of your book using my car console, it only shows track one through 11 and won't go any further even if I was already playing, for instance, track 18. Yeah, that's crazy. The only way around this is to select the track and start playing for my phone, which makes the whole process inconvenient, unnecessary, and unsafe when it should just be seamless. Yeah, I. My issue is the unsafe part. This was all created to get us off our phones in the car. And the fact that it is now putting us on the phone more is a true disaster. And then what are you gonna say? It's like me on Gulf Stream trying to let the. The cop know. Well, you listen. I tried to go to the website. Who gives a fuck? Well, I was on my phone because I wanted to listen to this insecure comedian talk about his dating life and then the tracks don't sync up. They're gonna go, no ticket, ticket. Sorry, ma', am, you can't be on your phone. I saw you on your phone ticket signed a who doesn't know if she should be mad at Spotify, Toyota or both. Well, I'm happy to find out there's nothing I can do about this. That's like the, the greatest gift of this email is knowing that there's no issue with my book specifically and I can't even help you to fix this. But it is annoying. P.P.S. your strategy of yelling off at appliances when you leave the house also works for locking the door lock. Yeah, that does work. I like that. I've been, I, I've been trusting my own yell less and less lately. That that could be a ticked off Tuesday for another Tuesday. But I'm with you. This is annoying. I, I, I, I get very annoyed at the car technology that was created to help you sync your phone to the car. That doesn't work sometimes because you go, this was meant to be to keep us safe. But was it because you didn't make it good enough to make sure that we can never blame the phone for our issue? And now you're at risk of being in an accident and going, why didn't I just not touch my phone? Well, it's like because we the, the syncing doesn't work.
