Peyton Manning
I mean, Eli would tell you I have a huge forehead or a neck, and that's kind of his go to joke. He uses the same joke for five years now. Claire. It gets old. He's got to get some new material.
George Kittle
All right, it's ringing. Let's see if he answers.
Peyton Manning
I thought this segment should have been phone a friend that I wanted to call. George, I think you wanted to call.
George Kittle
I did. I wanted to call Eli because you guys love each other so much.
Peyton Manning
It's phone your friend, not. Not the guest friend. Got it. Am I proud to hold the NFL interception rookie record? No. Would I like to get it broken? Yes. Do I think it should be with 17 games now? Yes. Do the coaches take the rookies that are struggling out too early? 100%. Leave them in there. Let them learn. Okay. So anyway, I'm over it, as you can tell.
George Kittle
Hey, guys, it's the Kittle things.
Claire
Presented by T mobile.
George Kittle
Hey, guys, it's Claire and George.
Claire
On today's episode of the kiddle things, we sit down with a true football legend, the sheriff himself, Peyton Manning.
George Kittle
And while he may be a football legend, there's another sport we're going to be talking about. Golf. Our favorite courses, our best scores, and of course, who's in our dream four man scramble.
Claire
And who's your dream caddy. But first, a message from our awesome presenting sponsor.
George Kittle
T mobile is the best network in the game and now the best network in America. It's coverage that keeps up wherever your route takes you.
Claire
T mobile keeps you connected. Wherever you're hitting the links and with great coverage, you're good to go.
George Kittle
Oh, and before y' all say anything, yes, the holiday decorations are still up. Christmas was our number one seat in our holiday bracket for a reason.
Claire
Holiday bar doesn't come down till the season's over.
George Kittle
Now on to the golf talk. All right, guys, we're back with another segment of today in kiddle history. Very, very fun segment where the crew pulls up an image from me, Claire's Instagram, Facebook, MySpace, wherever they get the image from my mom, maybe, who knows? And they show it to us and it gives us a memory of something that we've done in the last 10 to 12 years, ever since we've known each other. So let's see what they have for us today.
Peyton Manning
Oh, my gosh.
Claire
Little George.
George Kittle
That is skinny.
Claire
That's my favorite part of it.
George Kittle
This is a great photo. This is northwest junior high in Coralville, Iowa. Iowa City, Iowa. I'm a seventh grader. In there is the only Time I was ever number one, I was usually number 32. But it was unavailable in that jersey. So I went with number one. My dad was our head coach. My hair is dyed black because from the fifth grade, sixth grade, seventh grade and eighth grade my sister told me it was a good idea to shave my head and dye my hair black. So every football season I did that. And then I'll just let it grow out. I gotta say that was. That was my most successful year of football in my entire career. We went 6, 0. We gave up six points the entire season to one kickoff return for a touchdown. That was a fun year. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Claire
What is your glove with your fingertips out?
George Kittle
I thought it was cool. I wanted to feel the ball.
Claire
But you had a glove on.
George Kittle
Well, I don't know why I only have one glove on. But my gloves were only. There's no fingertips on them so I could grip the ball with my fingertips. Not a smart idea. The other gloves were way better, but I thought they looked cool.
Claire
So cool.
George Kittle
Yep, they were great.
Claire
Pads are huge. That's my favorite part.
George Kittle
Pads are massive. I did not wear a visor.
Claire
I wasn't one of those.
George Kittle
I was a string bean. I was so tiny.
Claire
Now you're perfect.
George Kittle
Thank you. I don't know. Why do I remember all of those?
Claire
I don't know. It's bizarre. But I love listening to it.
George Kittle
Hey. My first game that season, I think I had six sacks. It was pretty fun. I lined up a defensive end and I just ran the corner every time.
Claire
Oh my gosh.
George Kittle
We have just an all timer for a guest for you guys today. I'll read off some of his accolades. But first I just want to say this guy commands a room. He's got a voice, everybody hears it can tell stories for days. He's not just a two time Super bowl champion. He's not a 2021 hall of Fame inductee. He's not a 14 time bowl, 14 time Pro bowl selection. He didn't have the most touchdowns in the history of the NFL in 2013 with 55 touchdowns. The same year I had him as my fantasy football quarterback and won my league. He's also the, the sheriff, the omaha guy himself, Mr. Peyton Manning. Wow.
Peyton Manning
Tell you what, next time I'm having a tough day, I'm gonna call you George. Just repeat that intro.
George Kittle
I will hype you up any day you need me. Any day.
Claire
Pretty good at that.
George Kittle
Thank you. I cut a good promo once in.
Claire
A while and just making people happier.
George Kittle
I do that pretty well. Hey, well, welcome to the show, Peyton. Thanks for joining us.
Peyton Manning
Hey, thanks for having me. I'm honored to be here.
George Kittle
Oh, my goodness. Well, I think the first time we really met each other was that on when you did your Peyton Places. We did our, our tight end thing.
Peyton Manning
That was the most time that we spent together. I saw you at a Pro Bowl. Obviously you were on the enemy side. I was playing, you know, playing for Eli. You know, one day we'll get you over to the, to the good side, the afc. But yeah, obviously, you know, doing the Peyton's Places. We were kind of honoring tight ends. And obviously you started National Tight End Day and you and Claire were nice enough to kind of have out to San Francisco. We were riding the trolley, you know, through the city and yelling at people for, you know, for respecting National Tight End Day. So. No, it's been fun. It's fun for me, George, obviously, now that I'm out of the game, to still stay in touch and get to know the current players and, you know, for Eli and I to coach the Pro bowl and spend time with you, you know, either playing golf or at that places. It's a lot of fun for former players to stay connected to the current game.
George Kittle
Oh, dude, it really is. It's always fun to have you and Eli around. Like, well, one, you guys are both incredibly great football players, but you're just such great personalities and you're pretty down to earth. Like, you guys aren't. You don't have huge egos. You know, Eli might say that you have one, you might say that he has one. But, like, you guys are pretty down to earth and you get along with everybody, which I really love.
Peyton Manning
I mean, Eli would tell you I have a huge something a forehead or a neck. And that's kind of his go to joke. He uses the same joke for five years now. Claire. It gets old. I mean, he's got to get some new material at some point. But no, it's fun, you know, working with Eli. We worked together. George, you were our guest on the Monday night show a couple of years ago. So it's fun to be able to be on y' all show tonight.
Claire
I remember when you guys filmed that in San Francisco on the trolley and you were just going through San Francisco and people were doing double takes like, is that Peyton Manning and George Kittle on a trolley yelling, what are they yelling? What are they doing? It was hilarious.
George Kittle
I got tagged in some pretty funny, like, videos on Instagram. It was like, george Kittle and Peyton Manning are just on A trolley in San Francisco. Someone threw a T shirt at me.
Claire
Like, what could they possibly be doing?
George Kittle
Wasn't neat.
Peyton Manning
Claire, correct me if I'm wrong, I feel like George yells often, right? I mean, not. Not. Not screaming. Like, yelling means, like, you're. You're mad at somebody. He just speaks loudly in a. In a joyous tone. Right. That's a normal Monday, right?
George Kittle
Yeah, she.
Claire
She totally.
George Kittle
She gets mad at me. I'll be on the phone talking, and she'll be like, will you just, like, quiet down a little bit? I can hear your voice for, like.
Peyton Manning
On the other side of the house.
Claire
Yeah, we're even talking.
Peyton Manning
Yeah.
George Kittle
Sorry.
Peyton Manning
I just.
George Kittle
That just kind of happens. So another time that we really got to work closely together was on your Omaha Productions Netflix show, Receivers, which was its second season. You did Quarterback season one, you did Receivers season two, and then another season of Quarterbacks. I'm. I'm very big into, like, the production side. Like, I find it really fascinating. Like, I love. Like, I like being behind the scenes on commercials and stuff like that. Like, I like seeing all the things that go into it. You know, Why'd you pick Claire? Is really what I want to know. And. And then just kind of like, what got you into doing all the production stuff? Because I just find it so fascinating.
Peyton Manning
Well, obviously, you know, to take the viewers behind the ropes of what it really takes to be an NFL quarterback or a tight end or a wide receiver. I've always wanted to do that. And, you know, it's hard to go there, right, because you don't want to be a distraction to the player. Certainly in a team sport, you don't want to be a distraction to the team. But we felt like we could do it in a way to highlight just how hard it is to be an NFL tight end, to be a, you know, all pro tight end at that, and what it takes on the field, off the field, but also to do it in a way that's not a distraction to you and your work and your craft, to your family and to your teammates. And so, you know, it's more fun when you have a player like yourself, George, that is, you know, not, only, you know, outstanding in his craft, but also has a personality that, you know, doesn't mind talking, doesn't mind telling the camera exactly kind of what's going on at that time, at that month of the season. And. And. And so it was so well received because people haven't had that access before because it just wasn't allowed and, you know, to give you one story when we first tried to do it, Patrick Mahomes, I reached out to him. We were doing the first season of Quarterback, and he said, would you have done this when you were a player?
Claire
And.
Peyton Manning
And the answer is probably no, because I wouldn't have necessarily trusted sort of who was in charge that they were going to kind of, you know, do it the right way and not do it just to try to, you know, make the team look bad or make a player look bad, to maybe help viewership. I mean, look, I'm a defender of the game. I'm a defender of NFL players, certainly a defender of quarterbacks. And so to do that and to do quarterbacks and then receivers, it was an honor to be a part of it. And I'm like you, George. I enjoyed the creation of it, seeing all the work that goes into making a show. Then when it comes out on Netflix and we had the premiere out in la, that was a very cool moment.
George Kittle
Yeah, that's awesome. I mean, it took Claire to convince me to do it because that was kind of my thought process. I was like, is it going to be a distraction? Am I going to look back and be like, oh, why'd I do this?
Claire
I was like, listen, Peyton wouldn't ask you to do this if it was going to be not good for you. And I was like, you trust him? And we watched Quarterbacks and we loved it. And it was so well perceived and so well filmed, and it wasn't invasive to the families, it wasn't invasive to the team. And then you talked to some of the guys and you were just like, you know, how was your experience? And everybody loved it. They were so happy that they had done it and now have all of those memories on camera. And that's exactly what I said to him. I'm like, this opportunity may not present itself again to you, and we don't have children yet, so maybe one day, you know, we can show this is what our game day looked like, or this is what, how we celebrated in the suite when your dad scored a touchdown, stuff like that. So it's just fun to have those memories on film. And that's just not something everybody can say. So, yeah, we're really happy that we did it, but it was outside of our realm and our comfort zone at the time.
Peyton Manning
Well, thank you for closing it, Claire, because, you know, George was kind of, you know, waffling on it, but thank you for bringing it home. And that means a lot to me because, you know, I mean, you work hard to earn the trust of your teammates when you're playing with them and then, you know, when you're not playing. You know, obviously, I didn't play with George, but I remember telling Eli, first time I met George, I'm like, that's the kind of guy I would have enjoyed playing with. I had a great Iowa tight end in Dallas, Clark. But, like, when I see certain guys, I'm like, that would have been a fun guy to play with. And you want to do them right. And. Yeah. I mean, that look, that moment where you all are praying before the game with your dad, George, like, I mean, you know, it's one thing if you're telling people 20 years from now. Yeah. There was this cool moment before. I think you were in Philly, maybe. Is that right?
George Kittle
Yeah.
Peyton Manning
Yeah, there's a cool moment in Philly where my dad, you know, got this really cool talk, and it's like, a great story to tell them. It's a better story when you go, actually, you know, I have the video of it right here.
Claire
Right.
Peyton Manning
And whether it's, you know, your kids, your grandkids, your. Your neighbor, you know, and so I. I applaud y' all for doing it, because there is a risk and kind of leap of faith when you take it. But I'm glad y' all were pleased, and we were certainly happy on our side, for sure.
George Kittle
I just enjoy the video guys, too, because they. They have good stories. They're good vibes. I just enjoy it.
Claire
Well, thanks for picking him as a.
Peyton Manning
Tight end for Absolutely no brainer. No brainer.
George Kittle
And then. So stay the NFL topic. You guys have your Manny cast every single Monday, and so you guys have to pretty much stay in tune with what's going around the NFL all season, which is pretty cool, I think.
Claire
Awesome.
George Kittle
It's. It's super cool. We.
Claire
I mean, I, like, always turn it on instead of the other broadcast.
George Kittle
Yeah, I always. I either watch the Manny cast or. Or I'm watching WWE on Monday Night Raw. Those are the two things.
Claire
Or both at the same time?
George Kittle
Or both at the same time. Do you have a favorite moment of the NFL season so far, or do you, like, just an overview of what you've seen that, like, has really piqued your interest?
Peyton Manning
Oh, great. You know, it's been an interesting season, as they all are, because you just can't predict what's going on. Eli likes to point out that whatever I predict is going to happen, the opposite usually happens. And so it's fun for Eli and I to watch the game, to have the guest on George either the celebrities that are serious fans of that particular team. You know, we had a recent 49er game. We had Michael Che, you know, who hosts Weekend Update with Colin Jost. I mean, big time 49er fan. I'm talking those who your backup left guard is, right. Which I don't even know, nor does Eli, but Jay knows because he like studies 49ers.com so I love seeing that, that this is a guy that is doing SNL in New York, doing stand up comedy, yet Niners are his team. We had, we, you know, we've obviously had, you know, you on, Christian on. But having Fred Warner on this year was very cool because we had a late two minute drive and Fred was kind of, we just said, Fred, tell me what, you know, what that middle linebackers thinking. He's going, well, he's getting the call, but you know, they're going quick. Sometimes he has to call his own defense to be sure they're lined up. You don't want to burn a time. I mean, just taking once again, the viewer behind the ropes from a defensive perspective. Eli and I can't do that. We can kind of say what we think the defense is doing. So that was one of the highlights this year. Just kind of getting that access. It's always fun to have the current players that can kind of take us behind the ropes. As to what you guys are thinking, it's been a fun year so far for sure.
George Kittle
Who's one of your favorite guests that just like surprised you and you're like, wow, this, this was. Or even just this year, like, who was somebody. You're just like, oh, that was really fun.
Peyton Manning
Yeah. I mean, you know, if you asked me prior to this year, you know, I just said, look, we had, you know, President Obama on, Bears fan, Condoleezza Rice, Broncos fan, Snoop Dogg, Steelers fan.
George Kittle
That's crazy.
Peyton Manning
This year we had President Bush, who, who's a. Who was a Cowboys fan.
Claire
Yeah.
Peyton Manning
And that's awesome. And like I said, it's like, I think the one thing about football we all can agree on. You know, I named all four of those names. Hey, four different backgrounds. But we could, we could check all those at the door and just watch a football game together and, you know, kind of get along and maybe you don't agree on whether you should go for four to one or punt, but we can agree to watch the game together. So, you know, we kind of think of it as a bit of a unifier. And I just like the fact and I I guess I'm still fascinated at times. Claire and George, of all of the people in this country that are die hard football fans. Right. We have two US Presidents that are on there that are talking about the Cowboys and the Bears. Finaliza Rice can break down a cover two zone blitz defense as well as Brock Purdy can. And Snoop Dogg. Right. His coach, youth football for years out in California, knows the game has grown the game. And you know, look, the guests are on via Zoom. I mean, is there a little more smoke coming out of Snoop Zoom than Condoleezza? Yes, there is, but we all love football and we all can agree. And so anyway, that's probably still the best part about it. Yes. That love football and Eli and I love talking to people who love football as much as we do. And that's, that's been the best part about it.
George Kittle
I think Snoop said he had his, a big humidifier in his office.
Peyton Manning
Yeah, that's right. That's what it was.
Claire
Yeah, of course.
Peyton Manning
That's right. I forgot.
Claire
He did great.
Peyton Manning
He did say that. That's right.
Claire
Oh, my gosh.
George Kittle
Do you have, do you guys have like a favorite Monday night game you've called this year? That was just exciting.
Peyton Manning
Yeah.
George Kittle
Sometimes you get a dud, which is not very fun.
Peyton Manning
I mean, look, it kind of goes both ways. You're always pulling for a close game and. But if you don't have a close game, you love having the guest on to, to, to talk, you know, why they like football. And we had Luke Combs on this year. Love, love country music. I mean, he's been, he's been on the Panthers. He's been with them from the get go. Right. And he's dying when they're not winning. He's happy when they're winning. That game was actually against y'. All. It was the 49ers game. So, you know, I love, you know, kind of seeing that. Look, we're always going to have the guest on because that's kind of our, that's what we've been instructed to do to make it an alternate broadcast. Right. If it's just Eli and I talking, that's what Joe and Troy are doing. Right. And they're excellent at it. So our sort of mandate is to do something different. And so we always want to have the guest on and try to bring them to the game if the game's good, if the game's not good. As you know, George, nobody cares about if a team's playing cover two and it's 38 to 10. Right. It's not relevant. Right. But if it's tight, you know, asking Luke Combs, you know, hey, what he thinks at this point, or, hey, look, let me tell you what. Let me tell you what the Panthers are doing. They're dropping eight guys in the coverage because they want that quarterback to hold the ball, have nobody to throw to. So it's like you're kind of having a conversation as if you were at a bar, if you were on the couch. That's what Eli and I are trying to do.
George Kittle
Yeah, I think it comes across great. I mean, I thoroughly enjoy watching. Especially when you and Eli just start chirping each other, like, hilarious. I really.
Claire
It's like everybody's living room at home with the brother.
George Kittle
It's so great.
Peyton Manning
Yeah. It's like I said, he's just got to get some new material. And I feel like it's. I feel like it's one side of the times. I mean, like, it's like, he can do it to me, but if I pick on him. Oh, you're being mean to your little brother. I'm like, he's 40. He's 45. Like, he's not little anymore. He's. He's even taller than me at this point. I think I'm shrinking.
George Kittle
I mean, if he's 45, he could probably go out and play for the Colts, right?
Peyton Manning
Yeah, clearly. Evidently.
George Kittle
So this is a really fun thing. This is called Phone a Friend, and I always like to surprise people, so. All right, it's ringing. Let's see if he answers. Okay, here he is.
Peyton Manning
What are y' all doing? Hey, bro. What are you doing, man?
George Kittle
It's your brother.
Peyton Manning
Believe me, I see that face every Monday.
Claire
Why are you talking to him?
George Kittle
Well, he was available. You were busy. He sold a couple. He says that you need new material when you make fun of him.
Peyton Manning
The forehead jokes are getting old.
Claire
That's what he said.
George Kittle
Yeah, I don't think they are. I thoroughly enjoy them when you say them. Thank you for that.
Peyton Manning
I knew I had your support. You see, that's the problem, George. You give him that support, and now. Now he feels like he's got two more years.
George Kittle
Eli is my NFC coach.
Peyton Manning
He's my Pro bowl coach.
George Kittle
So, like, I have to have his back.
Claire
That's right.
George Kittle
This guy wins.
Peyton Manning
Think about that. I thought this segment should have been Phone a friend that I wanted to call. George, I think you wanted to call.
George Kittle
I did. I wanted to call Eli because you guys love each other so much.
Peyton Manning
Oh, it's Phone your friend, not no.
Claire
It'S a surprise for you.
Peyton Manning
I don't get to talk to my brother that often. He normally just leaves me voice memos, only he never calls me anymore.
George Kittle
That's.
Peyton Manning
That's his way of communicating. I left him four voice memos on the Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Steelers offense today. I didn't stutter one time. I didn't say, you know, I didn't say very clear cut, very clear worded voice memos. Right, bro? I haven't, I haven't listened to it yet, but I'll be sure to listen.
Claire
He's out, he's busy. He's doing something.
Peyton Manning
You're incredible.
George Kittle
All right. That's all we had for you. Thank you, Eli.
Peyton Manning
Later, bro. See ya.
Claire
Is there a point in your career playing football or maybe even early on in doing all the production things that you do that you had a rookie mistake that was like, now you look back on it and you can laugh and kind of talk about it and use that as a learning point.
Peyton Manning
Yeah. I mean, certainly, Claire, in football, people ask me, you know, if you could go back and talk to yourself as a, as a rookie, what would you tell yourself? And, you know, you know, of course, easy after the fact. But I felt like it's a fine line. I felt like, you know, rookies, you should respect the NFL because it is harder than coming from Tennessee, coming from Iowa. It simply is horror. It's professional. These people do it for a living. But there's that fine line between not maybe giving it too much respect, where you start doing things differently and not playing the way you're capable of playing. I feel like I did that a lot as a rookie that I just said, oh, my gosh, you know, these guys have, they're so much faster and they're so much bigger. I have to throw it so much harder. My footwork has to be so much faster. I just, I was just, I watched film like, that doesn't even look like me out there. And 28 interceptions later, the, you know, the work was done as my, as a rookie, a rookie quarterback. So I figured some things out and, you know, played better the next year. And maybe I don't play better and figure things out if I don't go through those, those struggles. And so I think that's kind of, I think sometimes those rookie mistakes are a good thing because you figure it out, right? You know, when you, when you, you don't struggle early, I'm not sure you figure as many things out. So. Yeah, I mean, am I proud to hold the NFL interception, rookie record? No. Would I like to get it broken? Yes. Do I think it should be with 17 games now? Yes. Do the coaches take the rookies that are struggling out too early? 100%. Leave them in there, Let them learn. Okay. So anyway, I'm over it, as you can tell. But anyway, that would be. That would be my rookie mistake. Respect it, but don't. Don't over respect it. Where you kind of get yourself out of whack.
Claire
Totally.
George Kittle
I'll definitely say that. My rookie year, we're playing in Arizona and we had a. Just like a run pass can and it was just. And the. Whatever the run was. And then the pass was like I was in the protection and I had to, I had to, man, I was like a one on one versus Chandler Jones, like when he was in his prime. And I'm a rookie and I'm taught me and Joe Staler, my left tackle, we're talking. And the quarterback, like, he cans it. But I was talking to Joe and so I didn't hear the can and neither did he. And so he says, hike. And I step down for the run and Chandler Jones just comes off, runs right behind me and he snaps Brian Hoyer in half. Like, just folded him. And I'll tell you what, I have never made that mistake again in my entire career just because of that one mistake. Granted. Hey, Hoyer came back in the game.
Claire
Later, you were talking in the huddle. So you couldn't hear.
George Kittle
No, no, we were on the. We were on the line of scrimmage because I was like, we're going to. You want to see up? You want to like take this block up to here? He was like, yeah, we're going to 54. And then he said, hike. And we didn't hear him say the can. So Joe, luckily that he was just. He had the guy right in front of him. So he just ran into him and he realized it was a pass play because he's a vet. Savvy. Vet me. No, I didn't realize it. But like, again, you learn from him or you're not in the league anymore.
Peyton Manning
That's a fact.
George Kittle
It's a fact. So it was recently Ashley's birthday, and we'd be remiss to not mention the great Ashley Manning. Queen Ashley Manning, the energizer bunny who kind of makes her whole household go. You guys met in college just like me and Claire did. Can you, can you run us through like a quick, quick story about how you wooed her?
Peyton Manning
Well, yeah, Ashley didn't go To Tennessee. She couldn't get into Tennessee. She had to go to Virginia.
George Kittle
Yep.
Peyton Manning
Which, look, there's. It's a tough. It was a tough place to get into in the mid-90s. Virginia, obviously a great school. You know, you do what you do when you can't get into Tennessee, you find another school to go to. So people in Tennessee actually believe that for a while. Oh, yeah. That makes. I like, that's not true. Virginia, much harder to get into. So anyway. But her parents went to Tennessee, her grandfather played at Tennessee. So she kind of grew up on University of Tennessee football, going to games. So we met when I was in school there. She was visiting some friends, we met, and I said, hey, if you ever come back to a game, let's. If you ever want to, you know, go out on a date or whatever. So she came to a game later that. That season. I was a freshman at Tennessee, so we had a kind of a date after a game, and it kind of. It just sort of clicked from there. 19, October 15, 1994. Just happened to know the date and we've been together since. So look, she's, you know, when I say Condoleezza can break down a cover two zone blitz defense, so can Ashley Manning, but only because she's just been there from the get go and been so supportive of me and knowing that, you know, how much it meant to me, you know, and how, you know, for me, George, I felt like I had to get sort of my edge on the mental side of it, watching film. I wasn't going to be able to outrun or out throw anybody, but the mental side of it. So, you know, she was always just understanding and support of, you know, even going back to college when we were dating. And, you know, I was doing all my, you know, extra stuff and film study. And so she's just been a great partner, you know, for all these years.
George Kittle
Fantastic mom, too, some would say.
Peyton Manning
Yeah, no doubt about it.
Claire
It's just the light of the room.
Peyton Manning
Absolute best. No doubt about it.
George Kittle
She might know how to break down a Cover 2 defense, but the way that she knows her, her way around Augusta, I was just gonna say that. One of the wildest experiences I've ever been on. You guys were incredibly kind. You invited me and Claire to come down to Augusta with you for the Masters.
Claire
That was a bucket list item. That was in the way that we did it because of y', all, was top notch. I'm like, I don't think we can go back without the Mannings.
Peyton Manning
Well, we had a Great group, John. We had Kirk Cousins, had his wife, Julie. Right. You know, we got Kirk loosened up as well. We had good weather and, you know, and we all love golf, so that was a good. That was a good hang, for sure.
George Kittle
Oh, it was a. It was a fantastic time. Let's talk about some golf, you know, something that Claire's just getting into. I just became a member at my first club this past year.
Peyton Manning
Yeah.
George Kittle
Golf Club of Tennessee, which I'm pretty excited about.
Claire
Luke Combs is a member there, too. So you gotta. When you're in Nashville again, you all gotta go golf there.
George Kittle
How. So we. We'll start off with this, with the basics. When did you first get into golf and were you good when you first started?
Peyton Manning
You know, I really didn't play as much growing up. I never, like, committed to, like, play a golf season, if you will, or junior golf. Always kind of playing, you know, football and basketball and baseball and so I played golf some with my dad. You know, he'd kind of bring us out to play and then college. You know, George, if you like to play, sets up pretty good in the off season to go play with your buddies. And, you know, I always thought it was good, good, good way to hang out. And then the NFL, if you like to play, because of the off season rules and restrictions, you know, you know, they're probably even, you know, different now. But when I was playing, like, during a certain, you know, time of the year, from April, you're only allowed to be in the building from 8 to 12 o'. Clock. And so we'd go and lift weights and. Yeah. Work out and throw. And then from 12 o' clock on, we'd say, hey, you know, let's get eight guys. Let's go play golf. I thought it was good bonding. I felt like there was good camaraderie there. I felt like it may be clear like we won a game somewhere in an April 15 golf match just due to hanging out, competing. And maybe that helps us get a little closer and, you know, maybe that helps you, you know, win a game in overtime in November. And so that's what I told myself. So I like that part of it. Then you get pretty. You get to play them pretty good in July. Then you put them up for hopefully seven months until the end of January. So that was my golf schedule. I kept saying, george, once I stop playing football, I'll get really good. That has not been true. I mean, I've been disappointed. I'm able to play year round. I don't play year Round, you know, obviously you get, you know, different things going on and work and, you know, other commitments or whatnot. You know, you don't play year round. But I haven't gotten any better. But I like the camaraderie of it. I like playing with my friends. I like playing with my dad and my brothers. You know, it's just a good. It's a good way hopefully to put your phone down and spend four hours, you know, kind of hanging out with some people that you enjoy being around.
George Kittle
That's a great segue to our next question for you. If you were like, you know, if you had to take like a little golf trip with your boys, like, who would you invite for this golf tour? Let's say you're going to Bandon Dunes.
Peyton Manning
Have not been there. Great, great bucket list trip as well.
George Kittle
I'm going in March. I got a group of 12 going.
Peyton Manning
That's perfect. You know, if I had, you know, if you got one round or something. I mean, I'm taking, you know, my dad and my two brothers for sure play because what about your buddies?
George Kittle
How about. Let's just go with some friends or team?
Peyton Manning
Yeah, I mean, like. I mean, great teammate I played with in Indianapolis and in Denver. Brandon Stokely, slot receiver. Taking him for sure. Just a fun, high energy, you know, Loves to compete. Loves to. I mean, all those years I played with the Colts, George, like, if I missed a putt in our match the day before, the whole building would know it the next morning, you know, and, and, you know, he was that kind of guy. So I've taken him. Let's see. Jeff. Saturday, My old center likes to play. You know, Jeff and I, we ride the cart together because we're comfortable in close proximity to each other naturally. Quarterback, center, exchan. And then one more. Let's see here. Good options there. Dallas Clark. Maybe Dwight Freeney's gotten serious at golf, you know, maybe to let a defensive player. So I feel like I probably play more golf with my old Colts teammates. I'm probably taking some of those guys.
George Kittle
That's, that's, that's fantastic. Well, I golfed with Dwight up at the American Century Championship. Yeah, Tahoe. I was with him and Larry in the first round one. He has a tee that is like 10 inches tall. It's completely illegal. Larry was chirping him the entire round. And then he swings so hard and just destroys a golf ball. It's terrifying. But he's an awesome dude. I thoroughly enjoyed.
Peyton Manning
I mean, Dwight didn't play at all when he was Playing with the Cole. He got serious about it in, you know, kind of after football. And, you know, that's what golf does. You know, like I said, there are different ways to get into it. Once you get hooked, it's hard to stop playing. So I think it'll always be a part of my life. And Ashley plays some. Our kids play. So, I mean, it's just a good way to spend time with people. I think.
George Kittle
That reminds me, I actually met your wife and your kids before I met you. Oh, yeah, In Cabo at the Twin Golf Golf course. I was just sitting at the first State. Like, the first comfort stations. What, whole five hole? Six?
Peyton Manning
Yeah, yeah, I guess five. Yeah.
George Kittle
Where they serve you breakfast. And we're just about to get back into our carts, and they just come rolling up on golf carts. I'm like, I have no idea what's about to happen right now. And she just says, hi. Like, yeah, yeah, no, they told us that you were here. We just wanted to come say what's up. I'm like, pleasure meeting you.
Peyton Manning
No, yeah, I remember that.
George Kittle
If you were staying here, I'd love to meet him.
Peyton Manning
I remember that because Marshall and I had you on our fantasy team for several years, and so Marshall, that was a big deal for him to meet you. Then we hung out a couple years ago with you and lynch and Juice and Christian. So y' all got a good group of guys, for sure.
George Kittle
We do. We do have a good group of guys. I would say, like, for me to golf, I golf with Juice all the time. My only net. And he's a good golfer. He's solid. My only negative with him is he's like, he's a solid, like, 10 strokes better than I am. Like, he's like, he'll consistently golf, like, low 80s and, like, I'm anywhere from a high 80 to a 95. And he refuses to ever give me more than, like, four strokes when we're competing. And he goes, why would I give you strokes? Like, I'm trying to win. I'm like, well, then I'm not going to. I'm not going to gamble with you, man. Like, I'm not going to. I'm not going to put anything on the line when I know that you're going to beat me by at least six strokes. Like, I'm just not doing it. But I do enjoy playing with him. McCaffrey is really fun because he can hit it. He can drive it just as far as I can, if not further, because he's compact, but at the same Time, like, he'll have an errant drive and he'll find his ball in between two roots, and he'll take out like a five iron and he'll just hit it 180, 220 yards and put it on the green from like, he's like one. He, he can recover from anywhere. It's absolutely hilarious.
Peyton Manning
Trent. Trent played with us that day also. He's. I mean, he can hit it.
George Kittle
Trent Williams?
Peyton Manning
Yeah. Remember he played with it?
George Kittle
Oh, yeah.
Peyton Manning
He. He's serious about it.
George Kittle
The funny thing about Trent is so like three, four years ago, we're all in Cabo. It was me, Juice, and Trent Williams, and we went over to El Dorado with Shanahan because that's where they have a house. And Trent hadn't golfed, he said, in like six years because he did like a Washington Commanders Redskins, like, charity golf thing. And he, like, embarrassed himself because he had never played before. And he got roasted all over social media and stuff. So he's like, I didn't pick up a club again for six years. Plays with us, can figure out it. Drives at like 250 to 300, about six holes in. And the next thing we know, he's taking lessons and he's playing 36 holes a day, like four days a week. Like, he's all in. It's so funny.
Claire
Yeah, he golfed with Kristen and I the next day. It was like the three of us. Yeah, you guys were already.
George Kittle
They were doing a three man scramble versus me, Juice and Christian.
Peyton Manning
George, do you have to wear shoes at the golf club in Tennessee? Because I feel like you're probably in your more comfort zone. Shoeless sandals. I remember I saw you played that day in Cabo. That's. It seems to be more your speed.
George Kittle
You know what? There are, there are days that I prefer a nice 12 pack of Bud Light and no shirt and no shoes, but there is, that is, that's really fun. I, I thoroughly. That's why I love Cabo, because you can just go down there and it's just. You're just having a good time.
Claire
No, the Golf club of Tennessee hasn't allowed him to do that yet.
George Kittle
No, not yet, but it's okay.
Claire
He just joined.
George Kittle
I just joined.
Claire
Give us some time.
Peyton Manning
Go slow.
Claire
Can't come in hot.
George Kittle
No, no, not, not, not hot yet, but. All right. So speaking of courses, what are, like, your favorite courses that you've ever played at?
Peyton Manning
You know, look, I've gotten to play out at pebble beach, which I think it's Hard to argue against playing on the, on the Pacific Ocean. I don't know how you, how you really, you know, find a better view. I haven't been to Band and Dunes yet. I hear he's fantastic. I've been over to Europe, to Scotland. You know, once again, I think any golf course, no matter, you know, how great it is or what is, it's kind of who you're with. Right. So me and my dad and Cooper and Eli went over to St. Andrews and Scotland. Oh, golly. It's got to be 20 years now. But just great memories, great pictures, and just, you know, that's why the trip was, was good. Maybe not necessarily because of the courses that you play. And then there's a great course in Tennessee. I love the Golf Club of Tennessee. There's a course called the Honors Course in Tennessee. One of the first courses I ever kind of, kind of played, you know, outside of college. It's in, it's in Chattanooga area. It's a good spot. So, you know, you know, Denver, I love, you know, playing there. They got great courses. Indianapolis had good courses. So the three places, you know, that I've lived, you know, Tennessee, Indianapolis, Denver, have all had good courses to play, which has been fun.
George Kittle
Yeah, the. I'll say. Like, like Cabo Golf, to me is completely. It's, it kind of. It's its own, like, its own category because it's just like you're really there for fun, and you're just done looking at the ocean.
Peyton Manning
Right.
George Kittle
But I actually spend. I just randomly spend some time up in Minnesota, like, every summer, and they've got some beautiful courses up there. And, like, Minnesota in the summer is 70 degrees, no humidity, light breeze. And you're just out there, and it's just beautiful. It's land of the lakes. Like, there's some gorgeous courses up there. And I was taking up. I always, I go up there because there's a bunch of hockey guys that, you know, stay up there, and so I always go golf. All these hockey guys who drive at 320, and they're all like 5, 10, 6ft tall at the most. It's so hard. But I, I, that was a, that was one of my most underrated court, like, just playing. I played, like, five or six courses up there. I'm just like, this is such a beautiful place.
Claire
Tell them you just got the Happy Gilmore putter.
George Kittle
Yes, my, My marketing team gifted me the Happy Gilmore putter.
Peyton Manning
Oh, I like that. I got one of those. Yeah. Me and Marshall been. We've put it with that. It's a good one. I like that.
George Kittle
Yeah.
Claire
You haven't used it.
Peyton Manning
Yeah.
Claire
You need to get really good at it so you can, like, crow. Hop into it. Just like you. Hilarious.
Peyton Manning
Bring that out of the golf club and tell me how that goes.
Claire
Maybe you can just do that at our property and not there.
George Kittle
I'll do that. Wherever you're a member at, I'll use it there. Maybe Augusta. Who knows? I think they would appreciate that.
Claire
Right.
George Kittle
We're gonna do a little game, and it's about golf.
Claire
Okay. So you're going head to head in a draft for who can create the best golf outing. You get to pick your choice of the following three other players to join you, your dream course to play at, and your caddy, somebody you think would either give you great advice but isn't good at golf, or somebody that you'd want to torture for the day or just have around.
George Kittle
Interesting. So we're into a snake draft. You're the guest. You can go first. Who's your number one? Should we go dead or alive? That'd be wild.
Claire
It can be. There's no limits.
Peyton Manning
Okay, I'll pick a player. You know, I think we kind of alluded to it earlier. Golf with music is fun. And certainly, you know, music on speakers is fun, but live music is even better. So play golf with this guy a few times. One of my favorite singers. I'm gonna go with George straight.
George Kittle
Okay, check yes or no.
Peyton Manning
Right. I mean, imagine putting to that. That.
George Kittle
That is. That's elite.
Claire
One of the best days ever.
George Kittle
I'm going to take a young Arnold Palmer also. Yeah. I just think because I had the opportunity at the last Pro bowl. We got a golf at Bay Hill, like, right before the tournament was there, and it was spectacular. I got to go up into his office and I got to see all the cool stuff. Like, I think golfing with him would just be an unreal experience like that.
Peyton Manning
I'm staying in the country music theme. I'm going with Eric Church.
George Kittle
That's a fantastic one. Our punter looks like him.
Peyton Manning
Yeah.
George Kittle
Thomas More Stud.
Claire
The first day I met him, I told him he looked like Eric.
Peyton Manning
Just to be clear, though, I don't. I don't want your punter. I want Eric shirt.
George Kittle
You're gonna get my pun. You get the punter.
Peyton Manning
You pick the phone, a friend. You pick my other guest. I see how this works.
George Kittle
I know.
Peyton Manning
Let's see.
George Kittle
I'm going to. I'm gonna. I'm gonna go with a hockey player because they can Hit. And I'm gonna go call up my good friend Phil Forsberg for the National Predators because he's also a member at the country at the Golf Club of Tennessee. And he is a. He is a good golfer, and he. He can hit the hell out of. Out of a golf ball.
Peyton Manning
Love that.
George Kittle
And he'll drink beer with me. He'll drink.
Peyton Manning
Perfect. Yeah, I got one more.
George Kittle
Yep.
Peyton Manning
I like. I'm going. I'm just staying in that theme I'm going with because he loves golf, too. Good player. Really likes it. Going. Darius Rucker.
George Kittle
That's a great pick. I know. He's solid.
Claire
Your group is fun.
George Kittle
Your group is fun.
Peyton Manning
Thank you.
Claire
It also passes a concert.
Peyton Manning
It could.
Claire
I like that.
Peyton Manning
Feel good about it.
George Kittle
My third pick is going to be Noah Khan, the artist, because I. I've golfed with him before. Fantastic time. Very funny. And he's also. He's also a pretty solid golfer. So I'm going to go with Noah. He's for. He's a vibes guy for sure. And we had a lot of fun driving the same car all day.
Peyton Manning
Love it.
George Kittle
Yeah.
Claire
He's like Golf Club of Tennessee.
Peyton Manning
Yeah.
George Kittle
We were supposed to play 18 holes and forgot. Forgot my phone in the car. And we played 32 holes that day.
Peyton Manning
Love it.
George Kittle
It's fantastic.
Peyton Manning
Love it.
Claire
Okay, then you. You start with your dream course to play at Bop over the paint.
George Kittle
Oh, I've always. This is. This is. This is a random one, but I went to a wedding in Ireland several years ago. Alex Mack, the old center for the Falcons and Ners. And they got married at the Adair Manor. And there's a golf course there that is. Ryder cup is going to be there soon.
Peyton Manning
Oh, yeah. Okay.
George Kittle
And I. We were there the weekend before. It was open to the public, so we couldn't golf. Me and Claire walked like three or four holes, and it was one of the prettiest places I've ever been at. And there's a castle in the background as you're golfing. So I think that would be my dream course. Adair Manor.
Peyton Manning
I like it. I'm going. I'm going. Pebble Beach. I just think country music on the Pacific Ocean. I don't know how you beat that.
George Kittle
Solid. All right, who would you pick as your caddy?
Peyton Manning
I'm gonna go with Shane Gillis because.
Claire
That'S a good pick.
Peyton Manning
Because you mentioned, you know, if you need a caddy that can. Look, I. I'm sure, you know, I've gotten to know Shane just a little bit and we do some Bud Light commercials together. But like I. I need a caddy's gonna make me laugh, keep me loose, help me play better, make fun of me. I think he's more than willing to do all those things. And so I'm going with Shane Gillis. I don't know if he plays golf. I don't know. I don't know if he's ever. But that'd be fun.
Claire
He love that.
George Kittle
All right, I'm going to go for my caddy. I like the music, so I'm going to go with Luke Combs.
Claire
Oh, okay.
George Kittle
I'm go with Luke because he's also a great time on the course and I think he would. He would bring the vibes up very high and he would. I think he would be good in.
Peyton Manning
The putting green, which is a carrier bag for caddy. What do you expect Luke to be doing worth wise, you know, like raking traps. What are your expectations there?
George Kittle
Singing and handing me Bud Light.
Peyton Manning
He's your guy.
George Kittle
I think you can handle that. He could belt. High school beer never broke my heart. Never did.
Claire
Well, I gotta say, I think. I think I'll probably go with Peyton.
George Kittle
Screw the music. Yeah, the music. That was even fair.
Claire
And some laughs from Shane Gillis. Shane is the ocean. I'm in.
George Kittle
Shane was a hell of a pickup by you. That's a great pick.
Claire
That was a genius.
Peyton Manning
Be.
George Kittle
I don't know if he'll be better or worse than Happy Gilmore's caddy without a shoe and using a cracker as the ball spotter.
Peyton Manning
I'm just worried about your chemistry. You got Arnold Palmer. You got a hockey player. Yeah, I don't know. I just. I feel like. I feel like our group's gonna get along, you know, I'm gonna have a lot more laughs. I'm saying that right now.
George Kittle
Hey, I'm a host, man. I know how to get the vibe.
Peyton Manning
This is true.
George Kittle
And if Honor Palmer. It's young Arnie and he's drinking Honor Palmers while I'm drinking some bud lattes.
Peyton Manning
God bless America.
Claire
And Phil's got it won't even make it.
George Kittle
Phil's got his thick mustard. Yeah, you know what?
Claire
They don't make it.
George Kittle
We're into the game where every drink is a str. And so then I think I'd win that game. I like that you played in Indianapolis for so long. So you're basically. You got some Midwest in you. Me and Claire are both from Iowa. Do you have, like, any favorite memories of just playing in the Midwest and Like the. The Midwest culture and how different it is from other places you've been.
Peyton Manning
Yeah, look, I felt like getting drafted by Indianapolis. I was happy to go play there. I hadn't spent a lot of time there. Grew up in New Orleans, school in Tennessee, but kind of that term, who's your hospitality that you hear, That's a real thing. People were very welcoming to me, to my family, to Ashley, as we, you know, got drafted there in 1998 and played there until 2014. And I think they're like that with everybody. You know, I think Indianapolis is one of the best places to have sporting events. They've had a Super Bowl, Final Four, could be there every single year. You got, you know, certainly, you know, swimming events, and you got Caitlin Clark and the Fever. Now your fellow Iowa, Hawkeye.
Claire
So got it on. He's got it.
Peyton Manning
I mean, basically, they're just, hey, you're from out of town. That's great. Come on in, Indy, and we'll show you a good time and be great hosts. And that's how they. That's how they are to. For events. That's how they are to, you know, Colts players that aren't from there. And, you know, I have a great relationship with, you know, the Colts and a lot of my friends there and, you know, still very involved with the children's hospital there. So I was very. I was happy that they drafted me, and it worked out even better than I thought it would work out for sure.
George Kittle
Let's just say this. We're just for, like, a scenario. Let's say you were taking. You and Ash are taking me and Claire on a double date, you know, out in Indianapolis. Can you run us through what that night would look like? Like where you would take us and what we would do?
Peyton Manning
I mean, we're going to St. Elmo Steakhouse. There's no doubt about it, right? That's where. That's where I used to get my mail, you know, in season, like, you know, Sunday night, win, lose, no matter what, at St. Elmo, obviously, you know, good time to be with your family, celebrate a win. Good place to, you know, drink your sorrows, maybe complain about. Yeah, your sorrows. And so. And we might not leave there, Right? I mean, we could go there early with us and just stay. Craig, the owner, you know, he did a great thing. They have kind of a wine cellar room where you can kind of go down in the dungeon and sort of, you know, be just with your. With your crew. He put a TV in there, George, which now you can Watch Sunday Night Football. Right. And you could watch or back in the day you could watch, you know, the highlights with Chris Berman and Tom Jackson. I'm like, wait a minute, we have shrimp cocktail, Bud light and highlights. Why do we need to go anywhere else?
Claire
So why are we seller?
Peyton Manning
If we did, we might slip down the street to the Slippery Noodle. Good live music, also cold beer. So that'd be kind of my one, two punch there in Indy.
George Kittle
That sounds like a dream. I'll take you up on that at some point. That sounds like we'll catch a fever game too.
Peyton Manning
Yeah. Deal.
George Kittle
Well, that's absolutely fantastic. You were a phenomenal guest.
Claire
Thank you for joining us. It was so good to see you again.
Peyton Manning
Thank you all for having me.
Claire
Tell Ashley hi. And we miss her too.
Peyton Manning
We'll do. Thank you.
Claire
Okay, so we are going to play my favorite segment on the kiddle things game ball. And we are going to read off some superlatives and whoever we think it resonates more with is going to take the game ball for that. So let's see what they got for us.
Peyton Manning
Who is the better putter under pressure?
Claire
No, you're good.
George Kittle
Me?
Claire
You're good.
George Kittle
You've never putt under pressure before?
Claire
Not under pressure, but no, I can step in and putt.
George Kittle
She can putt, but no, I'm taking myself on that.
Peyton Manning
Who is the most likely to shake a shot right off the tee?
Claire
Me.
George Kittle
Yep. It's okay, though. I golf more than you.
Claire
I either hit it really good and really far. I don't hit it at all.
George Kittle
Yeah, that's. She either hits it perfectly straight like 200 yards or it's 10ft in front of her at the most. Don't give her an iron, though.
Claire
Yeah, don't give me an iron. I don't want. Those are pointless.
Peyton Manning
Who's planning the first offseason trip?
George Kittle
Yeah, you plan it. Just take it.
Claire
I am. Where are we going? We're going to hopefully the Olympics to watch Philip Forsberg play for Sweden, which is amazing.
George Kittle
Really. Just going for Felix.
Claire
Yeah. So that's on the books.
George Kittle
It is. Pretty excited about it.
Claire
Not planned, just on the books in our schedule.
George Kittle
Yep. It's a good one.
Peyton Manning
Who's more likely to watch a comfort show rather than start something new.
George Kittle
During the holiday season, Claire will watch the movie the Holiday 14 times as most of in less than 30 days.
Claire
Every human will.
George Kittle
Here you go. You can. Yeah.
Claire
But you also put on Lord of the Rings and whatever I watch, I watch.
George Kittle
I do watch. Like Kung Fu Panda 1 2.
Claire
And then he's like, this is the best part. This is the best part. Hey, watch, Listen.
George Kittle
Well, if you were.
Claire
After we've watched it 37 times.
George Kittle
If you were watching and weren't on your phone, then I wouldn't have to.
Peyton Manning
Or point it out to.
Claire
Because I've seen it 37 times on.
George Kittle
Your phone, so it's okay.
Peyton Manning
Sweet.
Claire
So that's both of us. I don't know.
George Kittle
Or both of us like comfort shows.
Claire
We need to get two of these footballs next time.
Peyton Manning
Who is more likely to get hangry? Me.
George Kittle
I don't really get angry.
Claire
No hangry.
George Kittle
I know. I don't get angry in general.
Claire
That's true.
George Kittle
That's all you say.
Claire
But he does say, I need to eat like 17 times before we can make a move on something. I need to eat. Claire. I need to eat.
George Kittle
Claire.
Claire
I need.
George Kittle
I know I need to eat right now. I'm so hungry.
Peyton Manning
Who's a bigger fan of soup season?
Claire
Oh, me.
George Kittle
Loves.
Claire
Love a soup. Love a soup. Love a chicken noodle. Love a potato. Cheesy potato soup. Love chili. Any type of chili.
George Kittle
I love chili.
Claire
Chili's not soup, but like it's in a bowl. Same season. Those are my favorites.
George Kittle
What else do you like?
Claire
What do you dunk your broccoli, cheddar soup, French onion. French onion soup. That is my favorite to get at restaurants.
George Kittle
There it is.
Peyton Manning
Who said I love you first?
Claire
I did.
George Kittle
I think you did.
Claire
Yeah, I did. Because it was completely out of the blue and random.
George Kittle
Totally random. Made no sense.
Claire
And I just said, well, I love you, so.
George Kittle
Yeah. And.
Claire
And he was like.
George Kittle
Me what? Yeah, that was you. What does it count?
Claire
You were shortly after. But.
George Kittle
Well, yeah, but does it count that my dad told you that I loved you on the phone before that?
Claire
That's true too.
George Kittle
He did.
Peyton Manning
He did.
George Kittle
It's actually funny. One of our first, like, real legit dates, we're watching the 49ers versus the Ravens in the super bowl in my dorm room, and Claire's like, I want sushi. Super Bowl Sunday.
Claire
I was angry.
George Kittle
And it's like. I know it's like 8, 8:30pm in February in Iowa, so it's like negative 20 degrees outside. We don't own a car, but we have mopeds. And so we hop on the. My moped, she gets on the back, we drive down. I mean, it's only like a five minute drive, you know, ten minute drive.
Claire
Yeah.
George Kittle
Go to a sushi spot. We're the only ones in there.
Claire
They have a tv, though.
George Kittle
We're watching Super Bowls on, but we're like, the only couple in there eating sushi. And then I think was when we got back to the dorms, my dad called me because he was that guy at a Super bowl party.
Claire
Yeah.
George Kittle
And they were drinking, and she said, let me.
Peyton Manning
Let me talk to her.
Claire
He goes, claire's there. Let me talk to her.
Peyton Manning
Let me talk to her.
Claire
And George was like, oh, no.
George Kittle
I was like, my dad wants to say hi.
Claire
And then he basically just spilled George's guts to me on the phone and was like, you know he loves you, right? And da, da, da, da, all these things. And I'm like, oh, okay.
Peyton Manning
Okay.
George Kittle
Then she left my room immediately after that.
Claire
And I didn't tell him anything that he said.
George Kittle
Nope, she left. I didn't see her again till tomorrow.
Claire
But then it led into a conversation.
George Kittle
Then it did.
Claire
So shout out, Bruce.
George Kittle
Good job, Bruce.
Claire
Thanks for tuning in to another episode.
