Lauren came in hot.
Lauren LaRosa
Hey, y'. All, what's up? It's Lauren LaRosa. And this is another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa. This is your daily dig on all things pop culture, entertainment news, and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby. Now, today here on the podcast, we are having a conversation about a ton of different things. Um, we're going to get into a little bit of Khloe Kardashian and the way that she is trying to control Tristan Thompson even after their breakup. But y' all know they always break up, but then it's like, are they really broken up? But we'll get into it in the latest. And we also gonna get into Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce because there are rumors that their wedding is almost like a month out at this point or a little bit over that. And we're trying to figure out whose last name is who going to take. But before we do that, Low riders, y' all know we always check in behind the scenes of the grind first. So let's get to it.
Podcast Announcer/Host
Back on the grind.
Lauren LaRosa
So if you're new here, if you're new to our low rider community, which is 8 million downloads plus strong. Hey, Y', all, this is the. The segment of the show where we actually, like, check in on each other. I feel like when you're grinding, when you ripping and you running, you really don't take a second to see, like, yo, how am I really feeling? How am I feeling about things that are happening as I'm maneuvering and figuring out life? You just, like, keep going. Because out of sight is out of mind, especially depending on what career you work in or. You know what I mean? Like, you just feel like if you're not doing something, you're not doing nothing at all. So we check in on ourselves right here today. I am so excited. I am headed to the Roots picnic in Philadelphia this weekend. I'll be there all weekend, in and out, you know, little dilly dally, in and out of all of the surrounding Roots Picnic, like parties, events, speaking engagements. I'm actually going to be doing live interviews on or in their AT&T artist tent, and we'll be bringing that back here to the Latest with Lauren, the Rosa as well. But the excitement for me is really coming in because we're going to get to see Jay Z pop back out. This is not my first time seeing Jay Z perform, but I'm excited because, I don't know, I just feel like now the last time I saw him, I think was like maybe, I don't know, it was, was it 2017, 2018? I'm probably gonna get that year wrong. But it was a long time ago. I had just graduated from high school when that happened or when did I graduate from high school? That was 20. I'm sorry. I just graduated from college. I was like, or maybe I was about to graduate. That was around 2014, actually. So it's been, it's been a minute. So I'm excited to, you know, be a little older now outside with my box wine, giving real Auntie Vi and seeing Jay Z at the stage. But Questlove, who Philly native music icon, is helping to put together the set and he says that this is going to be a one of one Jay Z experience. So I'm really excited to be there and get the one on one experience and bring it back to you guys. Let's take a listen to Questlove. You're gonna be on stage with Jay Z.
Tristan Thompson
How special will that be?
Podcast Announcer/Host
This is, this is a one of one, an amazing show. Unlike, you know, I know some people are like, well, I'll wait till he goes. No, we're doing a custom one on one show only with Jay Z here. And we're very excited. You know, he's, he's family and he did us a solid by, you know, making this special for us and we appreciate that.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm bringing y' all everything, okay? I will bring y' all every single minute of Roots Picnic that I can, that I have promise y' all that we headed there today. Roots Picnic. What's up? So stay tuned to the Latest with Lauren LaRosa for those episodes to follow. Now let's get on into the latest.

Podcast Announcer/Host
Starting a trend.
Jonas Brothers
But this one's extra special. So how did we. How do we actually come up with the name hey Jonas? Guys, I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it and, well, we were thinking, I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing a bit for the podcast. People could call in and say, hey Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, hey Jonas. And offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that. Guys, listen to hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.

Man, I thought I done seen it all, but I never thought I would see the day where Khloe Kardashian brings Tristan Thompson on her podcast or sits down with him in a public forum of any sort. If I'm being honest now, a lot of y' all are probably gonna say, lauren, that is her child's father. They have kids together. What do you mean? The way that Tristan Thompson embarrassed Khloe Kardashian for years, and we saw her publicly battle with taking him back, being embarrassed again, not taking him back, not telling the full truth sometimes when she was deciding to take him back. And I'm not faulting her for that. Right? Like, we have all been there. If you have never been a dummy in your relationship, you ain't never really been in no love. Okay? Now, I'm not. I ain't trying to be dummy again. But we've all been there. And, you know, I think this conversation is very interesting in light of Gayle King sharing what she shared about being cheated on by her ex husband of 11 years walking in on him with her best friend. Because famously, you guys will remember, Tristan Thompson was caught cheating with Jordyn woods, who was the best friend of Kylie Jenner at the time. And you guys will remember at that time, when everything happened with Tristan and Khloe, it was like war on Jordyn Woods. And you know how that go. Like, I think a lot of times when women are having a conversation about cheating, and this is not a male bashing segment or episode, but I'm speaking from a woman's perspective, because that's all I can do. But a lot of times when women are in these situations, it's like you so upset anyway. And we always target the upset at the woman when, to be honest, yeah, the woman might have some issues with it, but the man is the person that owes you the most? Like, he's the one that's going in and out of you every night, like he owes it to you. That woman don't owe you a thing. Y' all can argue that all you want, but that's just how I look at the whole cheating scenario, right? Like, if your man is doing things or allowing things or stepping outside of your relationship, you got to really sit back and say, okay, what's my relationship with this man? Is he, number one, even really trying to be here? Number two, am I just allowing too much? Number three, is he just a f ed up individual who just ain't going to change and I need to move on? So the reason why I say I was so surprised to see Tristan and Chloe sit down is because we never really knew where Tristan fell in any of those three that I just named. We just knew that they were trying to figure it out and that they seem to be really good co parents, which is a great thing. But now we're getting some inside conversation. So Tristan and Chloe, they sit down and the conversation is very in depth. But in my opinion, you can tell that Chloe's kind of not fully over a lot of the hurt that Tristan caused. So let's start with the fact or not the fact, but let's start with the. The, you know, from the beginning, when everything happened, when all of the cheating and the things happened, they talk about how they expected their co parenting experience to go because they were still trying to get over their feelings. Let's take a listen.
Khloe Kardashian
Like, for co parenting, did you expect our co parenting to go the way that it goes?
Tristan Thompson
What was my expectations going into co parenting with you?
Lauren LaRosa
I guess, yeah.
Tristan Thompson
The fact that you were brought up in a household where co parenting was part of your guys everyday life, I think I never, ever crossed my mind whether or not it was going to be able to work. I think it was going to be more. So can we come to a place of maturity where emotionally we don't get frustrated because of maybe our relationship not working or being where we're at, you know, where we would probably want to be or maybe should have been in our personal relationship? That was probably only the one area where you. You wonder, like, how's this going to look? But I always knew it would work because you grew. It's not, it's not foreign to you. Obviously it's new for me, but I feel like, you know, I'm a chameleon and you're such a, you know, chill person. So I, I was never worried about the co parenting part, because I think it's, you know, you were around it.
Khloe Kardashian
I always am. Like, why is Tristan around? Like, that's always a question I see. Which I find so insane, because I'm like, well, Tristan is the father of my kids.
Lauren LaRosa
And, yeah, I mean, that goes into, like, a conversation about respect and all the things. But I think there's just a point where even if you never get to a point where y' all respect each other, you have to get to a point where you forgive each other. And they talk about that as well, too. And Tristan says he's not his past anymore. Let's take a listen. Now, that right there, that is what I'm talking about. The Chloe, the. Hold on. Because everything I said, I meant. I'm like, I know that feeling where it's like, you are so hurt. You just want somebody to hurt as much as they. As much as they have hurt you. And the reason why I said I don't feel like she's completely over the situation that happened. Like, she hasn't fully forgiven him yet, which is her right to do. And I'm not. I'm not. I said, upset at her for it. But I just feel like in this interview, they're acting as if all is well. And I don't think that it is yet. It's because when you get to that point where all is forgiven and you just really don't care anymore, that hurt you don't even feel. Y' all know that. I don't know if y' all ever been cheated on, but y' all know that, like, red hot feeling of, like, I can't believe it's like, you want them to feel that. Her response right there, where she was like, I meant everything. Let's run that back.
Tristan Thompson
The reality is, like, listen, guys, like, the person we were, the person we were five years ago is totally different now. We've had real life happen to us, but we've grown. And I think people worry about too much of the past. And, like, when. I mean, like, people, not us, I think, like, we've had our conversations, you know, of course we've done things we're not proud of. I've done things I'm not proud of, anyways. This, that, and the third. And it doesn't mean we take it away. You, yes, me, but. Yeah, but I'm just saying there's times where you might have said something to me that was very disrespectful.
Khloe Kardashian
I'm proud of all of those things. I've Said to you, what do you mean? The most dirty and disrespectful things I've said, I do not take back.
Tristan Thompson
Okay.
Jonas Brothers
Yeah.
Tristan Thompson
Like I said, we've all done things that might have accepted.
Khloe Kardashian
Thank you.
Tristan Thompson
Upset the other side.
Lauren LaRosa
Yep.
Khloe Kardashian
And I'm fine with it.
Tristan Thompson
And that's fine.
Lauren LaRosa
That right there, that's her throwing that red hot feeling right back at Tristan again. She's still feeling that. And again, I mean, men. And men responding to this will say, well, if you choose to forgive somebody, you choose to forgive them. Yeah, but, like, my feelings are still hurt. Once you crinkle up a piece of paper and try to unwrinkle it, the paper, the wrinkles are still there, even if you flatten the surface back out. It takes work to get back to a point. And they're obviously doing the work because seeing them sit down together, man, that is a thing of its own. Now, there's another part of this podcast episode that I thought was pretty interesting and a little telling as well. So Khloe Kardashian and Tristan get into a conversation about whether or not more baby mamas will come into the picture. And we found out that Tristan got a vasectomy per Khloe Kardashian's request.
Khloe Kardashian
Do you want to have more kids in the future?
Tristan Thompson
I think I signed off for two embryos, so, I mean, if I do have more kids, it'd be coming from you. I already have enough baby moms. I don't want no more.
Khloe Kardashian
Yeah, smart.
Tristan Thompson
More than enough.
Khloe Kardashian
And who helped you fix that decision? That was me.
Tristan Thompson
Yeah.
Khloe Kardashian
Tristan may have had a little ultimatum from me.
Tristan Thompson
What, getting neutered?
Lauren LaRosa
Yep.
Tristan Thompson
Yeah. Sometimes you gotta lay them nuts on the table. What?
Lauren LaRosa
All right, so real question to the women. Charlamagne asked me this today. If you could take your man. Like, if you could literally screw your man's penis off and put it in your pocket and walk around with it every single day, would you? And I said yes, because I just. I don't trust none of y'. All. I don't. Even when you're in a situation that is a good situation, it's just. And it's not that, like, a person, like, you can be in a relationship where there. You've never had to question the relationship. But I think a lot of it is you bring past hurt into a situation which isn't fair. But I'm just being honest. A lot of it is there may have been small things that have happened that make you be like, hold on, Wait a minute. Hold On. Wait a minute. Y' all thought I was finished. Let. Pump the brakes. Let's really. What does this mean? What are you capable of? But also, too, I think it's just scary to be vulnerable because you just don't know what's gonna happen. There are so many things out of your control when you put your heart and your life and your plans in somebody else's hands. And I think this was Khloe Kardashian's way of trying to control how that vulnerability is managed a bit. Right? Like, I'm giving you a verbatim of. Or I'm giving you an ultimatum of. Not verbatim. I'm giving you an ultimatum of, yes, we can do A, but you gonna have to go do B. Did that vasectomy and the fact that she talked about putting sperm to the side in case, you know, they weren't gonna have kids together and his new person decided to. I'm like, the way that. I mean, a part of me as a woman, like, my, like, past scorn woman side, I mean, she might peep a little bit in the future, too. Loves how in control Chloe is in this situation, but the human in me was watching this. Like, this is a little weird. Like, to be able to control when and how this man procreates is a little weird. Even if y' all are together or maybe not. I mean, couples, y' all let me know. Is. Is. Is this a decision that a woman is making for her man? Because you are scared that he's going to have other children with other people? Not because as a woman who is married or whatever, y' all are done having kids, but you're solely doing it because you're worried about what will happen outside of you. Y' all don't think that that's weird? I think that is a very weird, controlling thing. And I. And to be honest, when I was watching this, I'm like, Tristan is still in that. He's still in a doghouse. Like, he's still in that. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Pocket. So it's kind of like he's doing whatever to kind of get her mentally and emotionally to a. A good space. And women again. And even men, if y' all have been cheated on or your spouse has done something, y'.
Khloe Kardashian
All.
Lauren LaRosa
Y'.
Tristan Thompson
All.
Lauren LaRosa
Y' all understand this feeling I'm talking about of, like, that person is kind of doing things just to make sure that, like, you feel good. So then that turns into forgiveness, and y' all can move on. Which doesn't Always work. And in my opinion, watching them, I'm like, she hasn't fully. For. He did all that. She's in control of how he has his next kids and with who and how and all these things, and she still hasn't fully forgiven him. And I also think if given a shot, if. If the table could be clear and everything could be above board, I feel like they would get back together. I do. Especially because he's talking about no man being good enough for her. Let's take a listen.
Khloe Kardashian
I just don't get guys, like, want to have such a problem with people moving on and dating, but like, you guys. Cause all this.
Tristan Thompson
Yeah. Just. Yeah. I mean, there's no. There's no right answer. I think just how we just feel very. I don't know. Maybe I don't want to say entitled. We just.
Khloe Kardashian
No, you feel entitled, possessive, controlling. Not you men.
Tristan Thompson
Yeah. I mean, at the end of the day, you're the mother of my kids. I don't think any guy's gonna be good enough for you. I just wouldn't like. I don't think so. Well, but see what happens.
Lauren LaRosa
I don't know. Y' all can let me know what y' all think, but I don't think it's over. I do not think it's over. But again, y' all let me know what y' all think. Now shifting gears a bit in the Latest with Lauren LaRosa, we are gonna get into Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift because Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift, they're rumored to be getting married here in New York City around or on fourth of July weekend. So much so that there are reports that the Mike Rubin Annual July 4th, the White Party that he does up in Hamptons has been pushed back. Canceled. Not canceled. Has been. The date has been changed because the people gonna be at Taylor Swift's wedding with Travis Kelsey. Now Travis Kelsey is giving us a little Easter egg. Y' all know Taylor Swift is good for the Easter eggs. But now I feel like Travis Kelsey is the one doing it because he liked this post that has us thinking, how are they going to do this with the last names? Let's take a listen.
Podcast Announcer/Host
You think Taylor Swift will change her last name? Great question.
Tristan Thompson
Not.
Podcast Announcer/Host
But like it is, she is way
Jonas Brothers
more globally famous than Travis Kelsey, if anything, travel.
Podcast Announcer/Host
Hang on.
Jonas Brothers
How about this change?
Podcast Announcer/Host
Yeah, I was gonna say, do you think Travis will change his life?
Jonas Brothers
I think that's a higher odds. Higher odds of that happening.
Podcast Announcer/Host
Travis Swift. But then Travis Swift kind of goes,
Tristan Thompson
it can't Be the popularity to go.
Jonas Brothers
I could see her doing Kelsey Swift.
Podcast Announcer/Host
Yeah. Maybe you gotta go Swift Kelce, Swift, Kelsey.
Tristan Thompson
Yeah. Travis, too. Travis Swift, Kelsey.
Podcast Announcer/Host
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Now, I've heard some men say Travis Kelsey should just take Taylor Swift's last name. Because, I mean, Taylor Swift is Taylor Swift. Men, in the comments, y' all let me know what y' all think. Get outside, in the streets, in the tweets, all the things. Let me know how y' all think about that. To me, I thought that the hyphen situation would probably be the most fair because Travis Kelce is a brand himself. He's also a man. And I think a man takes pride in a woman, you know, marrying him or. Or him marrying a woman and her taking a last name, and his children have his last name. Like, I. I really do think men take pride in, you know, their lineage and their legacy and all that conversation. But also, Taylor Swift is a hu. She can't not be Taylor Swift. Like, I can't even imagine a world where Taylor Swift's name is not Taylor Swift. And I also think too, like, you know, she's. She gives Southern belle and very traditional woman who would take honor in becoming someone's wife and taking their last name and bestowing their children with the last name. But I don't know. One thing Taylor Swift does is business, baby, and she does it well. And the business behind that name is big business. Big business. What do you guys think? I want to hear from y' all in the streets, in the tweets. I'm Lauren LaRosa everywhere. L O R E N L O R O S A Do you guys think Travis Kelce, who is, you know, NFL, Super Bowl, Chiefs, big brand now, right? I mean, he was a big brand before Taylor Swift, but he's definitely upped after. Taylor Swift would want his last name to not be in the situation, and he would just take. He would be Travis Swift or Travis Kelsey Swift. Or do you think that he's like, yo, you gotta take my last name, baby. This is how it's going. Or does Taylor Swift have all of the say so because she is Taylor Swift. I want to hear from y'. All. This has been another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa. I'm your host, Lauren LaRosa, and I tell you guys every single episode, y' all could be anywhere with any old body talking about all of the things, but you guys choose to be right here with me, my lowriders. I appreciate you guys. I'm headed to roots picnic, but I'll be back with some goods with some exclusive interviews from the Roots Picnic. You have headliners like Erykah Badu, Jay Z, a ton of people hitting the stage, so we're gonna have a good time. I'll see you guys in my next episode. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
