We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
A Jonas is available now and their first guest is a big one, Paul Rudd.
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer. Can he tell you not to audition at the office or. I told him, whoa. We were filming Anchorman. Clearly I was the idiot. Thank God he. He didn't listen to me, right?

I'm the home girl that knows a little bit about everything and everybody exclusive.
Latto
You know, if you don't lie about that, right?
Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin, Nick)
Lauren came in hot.
Lauren LaRosa
Hey, y'. All, what's up? It's Lauren LaRosa. And this is another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa. This is your daily dig on all things pop culture, entertainment news, and all other conversations that shake the room, baby. Now, we have not checked in behind the scenes of the grind in some time, y'.
Latto
All.
Lauren LaRosa
I've literally been grinding and that's what I'm saying. The reason why I created the behind the Scenes of the Grind segment here on the latest with Lauren. The rose of the podcast is because I don't take the time I should to just sit down and check in with myself, especially not in this, you know, new level of things that is happening. And you know, and I know that God has so much more in store for me. So I wanted to make a practice of getting better at doing that. And why not do it while at work? Because I'm complaining and saying I don't do it because I be at work. So let's check in behind the scenes of the grind. Let's get it back on the grinding. So last week we were at the Roots picnic. Oh my God. I had Such an amazing time there. You guys have been able to hear all of the amazing audio exclusively first from some of my interviews at the Roots picnic. So thank you guys for tuning into that. If you missed it, please go back and check out our previous episodes. It includes exclusive interviews from Ti, Kaylani, Draymond Green, all of the people, and all of the things, because, you know, that's what we do here at the Latest with Lauren LaRosa. But I was tired leaving Philly and leaving the Roost Picnic. Like, we partied, we. We sang songs, we concerted. I don't know if concerted is a word. We went to. We went to the concert. We was there. We was. We was in the stands. We was doing the things. We got to see Jay Z, which was a monumental moment. Like a lot of times when these things be happening, I literally. One thing I will take the time to stop for is to realize, yo, this is going to be history. And I'm here in real life witnessing it and beginning to report on it. So, yes, I finally caught up with myself a bit and got some rest. Just a bit. I've been stealing little moments of rest, and that's what I want to tell you guys in this behind the scenes of the Grind. Check in is it's okay to do that even if you can't schedule a full day, a full hour, whatever. Schedule them little pockets, okay? Get you your 20, 30 minutes when you need it, until your body feels rejuvenated. My body was screaming at me after the Roots picnic and then coming back from the Roots Picnic, literally the evening before. We, as the Breakfast Club went live on Netflix as Netflix's first daily live show. The beginning of the week was also screaming at me, too. Like, my body was like, girl, what are you doing? So I had to tell myself, girl, still them little moments of joy, okay? Go to bed a little bit earlier. The world is not gonna fall apart. The timeline, the news, and the exclusives and updates will not fall apart either. But I'm good now. If you guys cannot tell in my voice, I'm sounding better because my body is recharged a bit more and stronger. And I plan to get some little more pockets of joy and rest this weekend coming up. So that's why I've been in with it. But let's get into the latest because there's literally things happening right now as we speak.
Dr. Jay Barnett
What's up, everyone? This is Dr. Jay Barnett, and I am the host of just heal with Dr. J. It's hard to believe that the first phone call ever happened over 150 years ago. Just think about that. I also want you to think about. What time is it? It's springtime. It's time to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather, hang out with some family and friends. Listen, I tell you who I'm going to connect with. I'm going to connect with myself because it's my birthday month. Yes, I am a spring baby. I'm going to take me some runs. I'm going to take me some long walks. I'm going to probably go get some brunch, too. You know, a little birthday brunch. And you know what? Over all of these years and phone calls, AT&T has been there, connecting people in meaningful ways. This is more than just a story of technology and innovation. It's a story of human connection. And listen, with over 150 years of connecting, I just want to take this opportunity to remind you to call someone that you care about, because that's what it's about. Connecting.
Lauren LaRosa
Connecting changes everything. AT&T.
Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin, Nick)
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news. What's the news? Huge news. We created our own podcast called hey Jonas. We invented a podcast. Well, we didn't invent it. We. We just contributed to First People to do Podcasts. Pretty. Yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts, but this one's extra special. So how did we. How do we actually come up with the name hey, Jonas? Guys, I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it, and, well, we were thinking. I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing a bit for the podcast. People could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, hey, Jonas. And offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that. Guys, listen to hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.

C.J. Toledano
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
Isiah Thomas
I think Joker's gonna be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reed, he has to guard Julius Randle, and then he has to give us everything. He gives us on a night to night basis and offers.
C.J. Toledano
And when it's friends stop by like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Quentin Richardson
Steve Nash would get that thing, that man, hell get the flying. He running up the court, licking his fingers while he got the ball. Like after you go through a training camp with that Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Oh, yeah. Get your ass up and down the court and you gonna get the ball.
C.J. Toledano

So Cardi B and Lotto, they've had, I. I don't even want to call it a beef because I love these two girls separately as artists, and I think that they are both so cute. I love, you know, everything about them. The way they brand themselves, their fashion, their personalities, and meeting in them both in person, just even in person, they were amazing and a joy to speak to and to interview and to be in company with. But they had a little, a little hiccup. So Cardi B, you know, had been going back and forth with rapper Ice Spice about Some lines thrown on songs and just little jabs and different things that Cardi believed that were taken by rapper Ice Spice. Now, when all of this happened, Ice Spice dropped this song called BBL Belt. Now, in this song, BBL Belt, Ice Spice talks about someone falling off her, taking someone's place, someone getting a ton of plastic surgery, and Cardi B felt like this was directly to her. Cardi B then proceeds to call Ice Vice's team and go off. And this is where Lotto and their little hiccup comes into it. Let's take a listen to Cardi B screaming at Ice Spices.
Cardi B
What she said. Why you want to act dumb? Why you want to act dumb?
Lauren LaRosa
I really don't know.
Cardi B
You don't know? Imma show y' all I'm not Lotto. Imma be her the up. Imma knock her the out. Oh, yeah. I'mma beat her ass. I'mma get riot beat up by my. Y' all better see what the is up. You think I'm you ass.
Latto
Lotto, look, already.
Lauren LaRosa
What?
Stefan Diggs
Sorry.
Lauren LaRosa
Tell me. Yeah, I don't know, bro.
Cardi B
I don't gotta tell y' all that she's saying, because y' all know exactly what the the said. Put on the phone right now. Right now.
Lauren LaRosa
Now, let me tell y' all the timeline of this. Right, so this audio comes out in September 2025, right? Literally within days of this audio. A few days prior to this, Cardi B and Latto had just dropped a remix to Cardi B's song every time. So we as people who were just enjoying the music and, you know, like, Cardi B and Latto have been on songs together. It's a cute link up whenever they get together. We were all confused. Like, wait, what happened? We thought y' all was good. Well, Lotto felt the same way. Lotto released her project Big Mama this week, and she threw some lines out that fans grabbed and said, hey, I think she's talking about Cardi B. So in on that, Lotto is talking about someone buying her a bag and saying basically, like, girl, my man do that. I'm good. Because after that audio leaked of Cardi B screaming at the phone at Ice Spice's team and bringing Latto into it, Cardi then publicly tweeted and said, look, because that was public, I'mma publicly apologize. And she said, you know, and I'mma privately go buy her a bag. Like, trying to make amends with everything. And then you hear Latto's response. Latto, and that line says, I don't want no Bag. She said, what? I don't want no bag. I'm cool. So obviously, we knew, as you know, listeners and people that have been watching what's going on, that this was a response to Cardi. Now, Lato came on the Breakfast Club, and we talked to her about this, and we cleared to clear it up. We wanted, number one, were you even talking to Cardi? And here's what Lato had to say.
Latto
Yeah, it was about Cardi. Like we were saying earlier, like, I rap about what's going on in my life at the moment. At the time, I was. Well, first of all, I made this album over nine months. I made the album while I was pregnant. And, yeah, I was at an early stage of my pregnancy and I rushed to the studio to do this verse for her in time for the first week sales, whatever.
Lauren LaRosa
And airtime.
Latto
Yeah, for airtime remix. And literally, like, two days later, I'm see all over the Internet, I'm being called pussy. I'm. I'm pregnant. Emotions high. Like, yeah. And it's someone I dead ass looked
Lauren LaRosa
at as a friend.
Latto
Like, I. I understand this, you know, industry shit. First two.
Cardi B
But we.
Latto
We was on a texting basis, so I feel like, yeah, you tweeted to the world, but we got each other number. Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
You know, also, I never talked personally after that around that.
Latto
So then, like, probably like two months later or something like that, she did text me, but by that time, I'm like, that ain't even my. That ain't even like, I'm not even thinking about that shit no more. You know what I'm saying?
Brandon Kyle Goodman
So have y' all spoke, sister?
Lauren LaRosa
Since the song has dropped, Lotto also clarified the fact that she says that wasn't a diss. Now, Cardi B saw our interview on the Breakfast Club, and she has just responded to Latto. She says, I truly understand how you feel. And that's exactly why I chose to apologize publicly, because the disrespect became public on that call. I didn't even mean to call you that. I didn't mean any harm. There's a difference in what I said versus what I meant. What I could have said was, you was too forgiving and gave too much mercy in that situation. But it was a heated conversation that let my mouth get the best of me. When the call came out, I was eight months pregnant, had just released my album, and was extremely overwhelmed and emotional. That's not to excuse what I said, but to let you know where I was in my head and the reason why Cardi is saying that is because, you know, she's saying, you know, she overreacted. She was emotional. And Lotto brought up the fact that like, this kind of hit her deep because she thought Cardi was really her friend. But also she was pregnant and dealing with that as well too. She. Cardi B. Continues. I genuinely felt bad about what happened in 2025 and 2026. I made multiple attempts to connect. I spoke with your manager, your sister, and even text you directly to take full responsibility. I always had love and respect for you. I always wanted to make it right. But making it right looks different for the both of us. I wanted to connect with you, but you wanted to address it on your album. Now, Latto says in her response that she is open to reconciling with Cardi. Let's take a listen. Would you be open to the conversation or you just.
Latto
Yeah, yeah, I'm open to the conversation. When I don't know. Cause I got. I got a baby now. Some old shit like I got life. Life done kept moving. But yeah, I made that. Like when the people just now hearing that song. But like I made that song when that was a topic in my life. It wasn't no dis. Like, it was. That's just what was happening in my life. Like, you talking about Big Mama bad. Which my do that. Like, I don't need no damn bad. Like, that's. That's just where I was in life. Yeah. It is what it is.
Lauren LaRosa
And then not to make up for calling me either.
Latto
Like, I don't want a bad. Yeah. Especially in exchange for that. Like, I don't know. I. That it just left a bad taste in my mouth. So I just was like, I was in the booth and that just what was happening. And then I just said what was happening. And you know, I don't know.
Lauren LaRosa
And I mean, I even said this on the Breakfast Club after we talked about, you know, that moment and I saw it picking up online that because, you know, the conversation in the room was like, I hope these girls can get through. And I'm like, I think they will. Like, Cardi B is not a girl that's just out here wanting to have issues with people. Lotto is a girl's girl. Cardi is a girl's girl. And we love to see them together. I think it will happen. And when it does, I will bring you guys the update. Hopefully as they might wanna keep one private. Because when everything got public, gets public in this situation, it gets misconstrued and it's. It's unfortunate because when, when rappers go at each other on the female rap side, it's never, it's just so different. People look at it as talent and art and competition when it's the men, when it's women, they try to say that the women are catty or they need to use each other for rollouts and all these things, but they, it's not the same conversation when it's men. So it's like, I'm glad to see that this is happening because I think it will get them to a point of reconciliation and we want that. They make damn good. But you hate to see it be public because the narrative around women, when they do go back and forth with each other in the rap game, it's just so different and sometimes it's hard to get away from. So I'm wishing them the best. And again, if there are any updates exclusively, I will bring those, bring those to you guys.

And speaking of making up and reconciliation, the paparazzi done caught Stephan Diggs out talking about Cardi B and whether or not they are together. Let's take a listen.
Stefan Diggs
Stephan, are you and Cardi together? Are you guys back together? How you doing? I just wondering. The world wants to know if you guys are back together. Beautiful childhood mother. I love her to death. You have to ask her. I have to ask her? What about from your perspective? Because the. The argument blew up online and people are wondering if you're back together when you guys were outside the gym.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, I don't even think that was the argument.
Stefan Diggs
You didn't see me? Like, you seem cool. She didn't. It's okay. Women get like that sometimes. But. So you guys are good.
Lauren LaRosa
Video Great. Stefan Z is referring to is a video that went viral some months ago. It was right after the Mother's Day time. Cardi B and Stefan were like, at a gym. And like, at like a. It was like a con. They were in, like, a complex. There's like a gym there, like a little tea coffee spot. I would play the audio for you guys, but the fan who filmed it, it was so far away, you can't hear anything. You just see them. So Cardi B is going off on Stefan girl. I feel it because I've been there, child. But Stefan Diggs is very calm in the video. He literally doesn't move. He barely says anything. So that's what he's referring to. So, I mean, it looks like everybody here is. Reconciliation is on the table for everybody. And we love to see it. I mean, again, I think sometimes it's like, it's unfortunate that these things get so public because when they do, then it's spirals out of control. But I think all parties involved understand that. So there will be more, I'm sure. I'm Lauren LaRosa. This has been another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa, your daily dig on all things pop culture, entertainment news, and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby. Episode: Reconciliation is on the Table (Cardi B and Latto Go Back and Forth; is Cardi B and Stefon Back Together?)
Date: June 5, 2026
Host: Loren LaRosa (The Black Effect Podcast Network & iHeartPodcasts)
This episode dives into the current state of high-profile reconciliations and rifts within the music and celebrity world, specifically focusing on the recent public fallout — and possible reconciliation — between Cardi B and Latto. Loren LaRosa provides an in-depth breakdown of how personal and professional misunderstandings played out between the two rap stars, their recent musical collaborations, and how their communications went from private to public. The episode also briefly spotlights the rumors about Cardi B’s relationship status with NFL player Stefon Diggs, reflecting on how reconciliation is front and center for multiple celebrity stories.
Context:
Notable Quote (Cardi B, 09:53):
"You don't know? Imma show y'all I'm not Lotto. Imma be her the up. Imma knock her the out."
(A key moment that escalated tension between Cardi and Latto)
Loren on Rest and Burnout:
"Go to bed a little bit earlier. The world is not gonna fall apart. The timeline, the news, and the exclusives and updates will not fall apart either." (03:45)
Cardi B, escalating the conflict:
“Imma show y’ all. I'm not Lotto. Imma be her the up. Imma knock her the out…” (09:53)
Latto on offering verses and then being insulted:
“I rushed to the studio to do this verse for her... and literally, like, two days later, I'm see all over the Internet, I'm being called pussy. I'm pregnant. Emotions high.” (12:22)
Cardi B’s public apology:
"I truly understand how you feel... When the call came out, I was eight months pregnant, had just released my album, and was extremely overwhelmed and emotional. That's not to excuse what I said, but to let you know where I was in my head and the reason why Cardi is saying that..." (13:35)
Latto on possible reconciliation:
“Yeah, yeah, I'm open to the conversation. When I don't know. Cause I got. I got a baby now. Some old shit like I got life. Life done kept moving...” (14:48)
Loren on women in rap feuds:
"When rappers go at each other on the female rap side, it's so different. People look at it as talent and art and competition when it's the men. When it's women, they try to say that the women are catty..." (15:35–16:49)
Loren’s approach is conversational, energetic, and deeply rooted in the everyday language of her audience (“We was concerted. I don’t know if concerted is a word. We was doing the things…”). She is open, transparent and empathetic to both the celebrity figures discussed and her own listeners. Throughout the episode, she encourages self-care, giving grace, and understanding the context behind public drama. Her tone is supportive, especially toward Black women in the industry, and she maintains a hopeful outlook toward reconciliation and healing.
