Because I really would. I really wish you would act like you've been places before, but you haven't. You've never been to the View. It's your first time. Why are you looking at me like that?

I want you to talk about, first of all, why did you ask me to go there?

Because since I've met you and know you and see your work ethic and see the talent that you possess, I always see you in the daytime talk show space. The daytime talk show Space is definitely going to evolve. Right. Like, you see it changing now. Like, you see Kelly Clarkson isn't on anymore. Sherri shepherd isn't on anymore. You know, Wendy Williams been long gone. Right. But you see that that whole landscape is changing because it costs a lot to produce a lot of those shows. I think shows like the View will continue to. Like the Talk is one that's no longer around, but I think the shows, like the View will continue to thrive. And because they're live. Right. They're in the moment.

They infiltrate, too.

[Charlamagne Tha God]

Yes. And. And they. They infiltrate because they're part of the daily conversation all the time. They're either creating conversation or they're a part of the conversation. And I see you in that space. I just think one day you'll be in that space. Like, you know, even your name. Like, even when Whoopi called you last night and bought you out or yesterday, he said, like, the way she said your name. I don't know, she thought you were Spanish or something. She was like, Lauren Lara Rosa.

Yeah. People be thinking I'm like, Dominican or something.

But it's just something about that name. It's. It. Just because your real name is Boyd, right?

Like, that's my last name. La Rosa is my real name. It's my middle name.

Whatever that daytime talk show space looks like in the future, you're going to be there. So I just felt like, man, let her get a taste of that now. So you can get a. I told you that yesterday. So you can get a glimpse into what your future looks like.

It felt great. It felt. It felt like I'm doing what I'm. You know, it's not like I'm doing what I'm.

Like I told you yesterday, though, I said, this is glimpsing to your future.

What's crazy? That's what Sunny and Wookie was talking about backstage. Because I was saying how, like, you know, shows like this will last because they're on live every day. They're driving conversation. They're part of the conversation. Will it be scaled down? Yes. But a show like the View can exist in this now and future climate.

[Lauren LaRosa]

When you say realize you did, you said this. I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Why do you remind me that all that all the time, you do it multiple times?

[Charlamagne Tha God]

Because I know imposter syndrome is real. Imposter syndrome is real. And, you know, a lot of times you can be in certain positions and not feel like you're supposed to be there, but the reality is, no, you're right where God wants you to be.

[Lauren LaRosa]

Did you deal with that, like, when you were coming up?

[Charlamagne Tha God]

Absolutely. And not only do you deal with it, you ask yourself, like, why does this person want me here with them right now?

[Lauren LaRosa]

I was doing that all the day before yesterday. Even when I woke up in the morning, I'm like, doesn't even make like, I'm going there, but, like, what am I really about to do?

[Charlamagne Tha God]

But you realize why. You realize why when you're in that moment because you like, oh, this is gonna be me one day. Like, I'm going to, like, I'm going to be, you know, on this panel one day. And I mean, it's not like you've done daytime television before. You did Tamron before.

Yeah, and I was on daytime tv. TMZ Live is a daytime television.

That's the legacy.

I was about to say. It's so different when you're sitting there with those women who are like, I

mean, that's Whoopi and Sunny, Sarah and Alicia.

Anna was there yesterday. It's different.

Whoopi said I had a good face. I don't believe that that means I'm gorgeous.

But, you know, she wears glasses and like after doing the show for a while, it's like she has to wipe them off every 15 minutes.

She was looking at me for like, she saw me the whole time. So she had glasses.

15 minutes. So she didn't get a chance to wipe them off. Remember we did two back to back segments. One was six minutes, one was three minutes. Then she did a five minute segment before that. She didn't have a chance to wipe her glasses off every 15 minutes. She got to clean her glass.

Oh, yes. Okay. Yes. I think that, I think, you know,

I think destiny's not a matter of chance, it's a matter of choice. And I think that when you make the right choices, you end up in the right situations. And when you make bad choices, you end up in the wrong situations. And I think that a few years ago you made a choice, right? Like, and that's what I like when you constantly tell that story because it's true. You know, when you say things like, you know, you had to step away from TMZ because you just, you don't know what it was. It was just something telling you it's time for you to step away from this situation and, you know, take the first step even if you didn't See the rest of the staircase. Like, that's God.

I remember Van telling me, go start your career. He was like, how old are you? And I was like, I think it was. What was I, like, 30, 31 at the time? He was like, girl, go start your career. And I was like, in my mind, I'm like, you know how hard I've been working. But now I understand what he's saying, because it's like, it's such a. And there's no shade to anything I've done prior to this. But it's just like, it's different right now.

But it's all steps, though.

Like, you can't. You.

You can't disregard any of it.

You'll. You'll realize that as you get older and you get further along in your career, every single thing played a role. Like, you can't dismiss tmz. You wouldn't have learned how to be a great journalist and a senior news producer. You know, you wouldn't have met people like Van. I'm sure you learned a lot from Harvey. And you know who else did at the time? Like Rael. Like, you learned a lot from all of them. You had. You had relationships that you established there. So when you came to, you know, Breakfast Club, you probably wouldn't have got. You wouldn't have gotten that position at Breakfast Club if you wasn't in that position before. But even being here at Breakfast Club, people knew you when you would make those calls. But now you were able to say, hey, I'm not at TMZ no more. I'm on Breakfast Club. Yeah, all of that. All of it. All of it. All of it. All of it helps. So don't think that any of it was. Was wasted.

I don't think that any of it was wasted at all. But I do like, as levels. And when you go through different processes of your life where new things are happening, you feel it. Like, I think this is the first time in my life where I really feel so much of the change because I'm having to do so much more now. Before and my other jobs, you just go to work and you go home. Now it's like so much more responsibility on myself. And like, this. The choices I'm making matter more. Like, everything is different.

That's the beautiful thing. The beautiful thing is think about where you were three years ago, four years ago. Think about where you are now. Think about the opportunities, Think about the money, right? And just say to yourself, yo, I'm really living in the middle of my answered Prayer.

That's when you realize like God is real and you stop playing around with, you know, your thoughts. Right? Cause I always say your, your, your. If your mind can conceive it, you can achieve it. Your thoughts really do become things. Like people read the Secret by Rhonda Byrne. But the law of attraction is real. Like your thoughts really, really, truly do become things. So the things you want to happen in your life, you should constantly think about. The things you don't want to happen, you gotta dismiss soon as that shit pops up in your brain and like you are a testament to that. You're the walking manifestation of manifestation.
