I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything and everybody. You know she don't lie about that. Right? Lauren came hot. Hey, y'. All, what's up? It's Lauren LaRosa. And this is the latest with Lauren LaRosa. This is your daily dig on all things pop culture, entertainment news, and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby. Back on the grind. So today, checking in behind the scenes of the grind. We are back in the studio for the week and honestly, just getting to it. We did my grandmother's birthday weekend over the weekend. I told you guys, I was preparing for that, getting ready for that. We went. We did it. Great time, Great time. We did like a staycation in Delaware. So it was literally like we. We didn't leave the house, but we did staycation shout out to Jerry Dean's, which is a restaurant in Delaware that also caters My friend Eval and her family, they the food go to. So every year I reach out to them. So we did. Did they do. We did baked chicken. We did salmon. We did like, they set it up Saturday. I actually had to go to Saturday morning. I had to go to Baltimore to host a cheerleading competition, a HBCU cheerleading competition for the CIAA weekend. And that was really lit. Was my first time at ciaa, and that was pretty lit, for sure. We got to see a ton of schools. But I had to wake up early in the morning to do it after being up all Friday night with my fan. Like, we were literally up to like 2, 3 o' clock in the morning playing spades. And then I had to be out the house at like 6:30. And then Sunday back catching up with everything to go into Breakfast Club and back here on the podcast today. So it was a great time, enjoyed the fam. But now it is back to business. So let's get on into the latest. All right, y'. All. So Cardi B. Has been on under a run. Okay, sis. Has been on a run with the Little Miss Drama tour. She posted on her Instagram story because she had. She had done San Francisco and then they. I'm sorry, she had done Phoenix, Arizona, and then from what I saw online, they either had to add more seats or add another date. Like there was something like that. And. And I'm seeing now that in some of her upcoming tour stops, Live Nation is adding standing room only seats because of how popular Cardi's tour is. But she posted yesterday a group chat. And whoever it is that is talking to her and her team, they're letting her know that she sold 13,000 tickets. A hundred percent sold out. And they're like another one. Because she has been literally selling out every single date on her tour since the very first date when a tour began. So while on these tour stops, Cardi B has been. I mean, she's been utilizing the stage. There was a moment where, you know, she shot back at B B. You know, Cardi B and Bia had some issues over Cardi's song. Like what? And she had a few words that she shared on the stage that a lot of people think were her taking a dig as Stephon Diggs, no pun intended, as Stephan Diggs, who she's reportedly broken up with. For now, we don't know what's really going on. The last week we heard was that she admitted that they were going through their drama when she responded to Bia. But we don't know exactly what's going on. But let's take a listen to what she said on stage and I'll break down why the people thought this was her message to her baby daddy. Her new one, let's take a listen. That song, it's called the Principle. You can't be out here playing with a like me. This nigga's out here praying for a like me. You hear me? I'm too sexy to be lonely and too grown to be playing with who you playing with, motherfucker? Ain't never had a bad bitch like this never in your motherfucking life. None of them bitches with me. They ain't with you. So this video, of course, went viral as hell because there's been reports of issues with Cardi B and Stefan Diggs. And again, she did mention, you know, one of the last couple times when she was going back and forth on stage with be. Well, Bia wasn't actually on the stage, music artist Bia, but Bia was responding on X that she wasn't fooling with her baby daddy right now. But that don't mean nobody else could talk about him, right? So when this video went viral over the weekend, listen to some of the headlines. Yahoo News says Cardi B seemingly calls out Stefan Diggs for playing with her. Then another Yahoo article did Cardi B Shay Stefan Diggs during her San Francisco concert the Truth Then and and now. This was an update because Cardi B has spoke out. Page 6. Cardi B eviscerates Stefan Diggs in scathing concert rent post breakup TMZ Cardi B appears the DIS Stefan Diggs concert. Who you playing with? Mother Effort. Now Cardi B has this song. The song is called Principle and In the song she talks about, you know, it's just the principle of it all. Like, don't play with me. People out here really listen. People out here really wishing they had somebody like me, look like me, care come how I come? You talking about seat at the table? I am the whole table. And that's not the words verbatim, but she actually is saying some of the lyrics and what she's saying on that stage. So when I saw it, I'm like, I mean, don't get me wrong. Sis know what she do with the timing, right? But especially because everybody's waiting to officially figure out whatever with her and Stephan. But it seems like they might be figuring out behind the scenes because this is the quietest I've ever saw her be about a beef with a baby daddy. But she's literally saying the lyrics. So Cardi actually responded. I think the coverage just got like. It went so crazy. And Cardi B decided to respond. So she put on X today. She said, dear blogs, when I perform a song, I always introduce the song with a little razzle dazzle. Not everything is a shot at a person. Not everything is a shot or personal. I'm actually repeating lyrics from the song. Relax. So Cardi B. Is saying she's not responding to Stephon Diggs. But I don't know, I feel like timing is everything. I feel like if you. Cardi B. And this tour is selling out, how it's selling out and the people is popping out the way that they popping out, you know, that anything that you say, do whatever is gonna be picked up. And you know, what, you know, what the world thinks, like right now. I know. I mean, I am. I know right now we are all trying to figure out what happened. Did something happen? Who's involved? Who. Who are the. Who are the characters? Like, what is going on right now? Because we were, we were seeing so much, you know, my boyfriend, My boyfriend sidelines of the games and all of the things. Comment, Stephan Diggs commenting on things on Instagram. And then it just stopped. And Cardi's up against a lot. There's a lot of conversation about the fact that Stefon Diggs has, you know, other children with other women, some very, very young. And that's a tough place to be in because let me tell you something. When you're dealing with a man with children and other, like, there's other children mean that there's another woman connected and there's another emotion. There's other emotions and other things to manage. And I don't know if that is the issue with Cardi B And with, you know, we don't know why they arrived here where we don't even know what their status is. But there were reports that she did not clear up prior to about her having an issue that one of his newest children's baby mothers were was at the super bowl. And one of his best friends who was formally dating Offset, Cardi B. Had had, you know, that's just like not a good situation. And formerly dating Offset, I mean, this was during the time when we didn't even know if Cardi B and Offset were together or not. So to find out that Cardi, that Offset was actually dating someone was very confusing for a lot of us because we thought him and Cardi were together. So y' all see where the triangle is here, right? Like, y' all see why anybody who heard these words would take it and run with it. But Cardi B shutting it down, and I think, I mean, at face value is what, like, what can we do? All we can do is just rely on what she's saying as truth. Stay tuned. This is Matt Barnes from All the smoke. In 1876, the very first phone call in history was made. And 150 years later, we're more connected than we've ever been. But even though technology will always change, a one on one phone call still remains everything. AT&T has been connecting people for 150 years. That's too many conversations to count. And so many of life's biggest moments start with the phone call. I remember when I received a call from my agent in 2002 to let me know I'd been called up from the G League. It was one of the greatest, most exciting calls. It finally came. I was waiting on it for about three months and it finally happened. And it changed my life from there. I went on to win a championship and start this amazing show that we're talking about now. From 1876 to 2026, no matter what you need to talk about, AT&T keeps us connected. Connecting changes everything. AT&T. This is Ryder Strong with a podcast called the red weather. And they talked about her divorce. And I was very confused when I heard her say some of these things. Let's take a listen. When you came here, we had so much fun. And then a few weeks later, then you announced your divorce. Yeah. So I want to know, how you doing? You know, we trying to work through it, and, you know, it is what it is. I just, you know, we Taurus. So we keep together. Yes. You know, I keep it together at this time, you know, like, I always do, and just, you know, try to hope that we can work everything out and be cool. Yeah, you got the kids. You know, you guys have the kids. That's the ultimate, you know, reason for us to, like, make sure that we're on this, you know, at least try to be cool, because we still gotta be cool regardless after this is done. So I'm trying to, you know, not let things get too disrespectful. Right. You know, and let us be respectful of each other and try to, you know, be Cool. And now you gonna be single and you own a sex toy business. Candy child. And I bring this up because how wild are your DMs now? Well, I try not to, like, look at all the DMs that be coming, but it do be some people trying to slide in my DMs. Right. But what I will say, I am a little afraid of going into this next phase of life dating and single. Yeah. Because, like, I don't. Like, I already know. People already know. I'm a little spicy. I have been in my past, but that don't mean I want to do that with somebody on day one of meeting them. And I don't want people to think, like, oh, just because I've done whatever in my life. Or I got an adult toy line. Right. You think we finna break out the toys on the first date? Like, that's the thing. Oh, my gosh. It's like, you know, what people's expectations of what they see versus what, you know, like, the real Kandy, who just loves sitting at home sometimes and watching a good movie. I'm pretty chill. I like to do normal stuff. Go out and eat, go to the movies, amusement parks. I'm chill. But, you know, yes, of course, there's times I like to be spicy in the bedroom. Who dare? But like I said, you know, I have to build up a trust. Like, yeah, like, you're not gonna get on the first date. You know, like, that's not. That's not happening. Not happening. Not happening at all. I hate to disappoint y'. All. Yeah. I was surprised to hear Kandi say that her and Todd are trying to, like, keep the peace and anything alluding to peace with them. Like, I. I feel like on the outside, that is what is said, because I know. I've even reached out to Candy's rep throughout some of the back and forth in the filings and in her divorce currently from Todd. And every time I'm told, you know, they're keeping it cordial for the kids, I'm like, it's so weird. Like, I don't understand the dynamic, because it's like, okay, so you see them in photos together, like, Thanksgiving, Christmas, even though the divorce was filed right. Then you hear her say, okay, we're trying to keep it cordial. But there's been so many things alleged in these divorce docs. Like, Todd has says. Like, Todd has said he needs full custody of the kids because Candy's always at work. Kandi is alleging that, you know, Todd has been Living rent free in her back guest house. He's talking about he was removed. I'm really trying to figure out where the cordial is coming in. Like, I just, I typed in Todd Tucker, which is Todd's full name. Todd, Candy's estranged husband, just to like, see what some of the headlines were. December 4th, Candy Boris had no idea Todd Tucker was talking to other women because that was one of the allegations as to why they even got here in the divorce. There's a headline I'm reading now. Ty claps back after Candy accuses him of squatting. Candy Burris revealed she decided to divorce Todd Tucker after a specific event last summer. I'm really looking and I just, I don't see the cordial because even in that story about him being in like that other guest house or back house or whatever, he's claiming that Candy kicked him out of their main houses. Todd admits that he was staying there, which is the guest house, but he says that it was because Candy kicked him out of the main house without warning. In the recent filing, Todd Tucker says unilateral. He was unilateral child. He's talking about beefing right now the way that these words is beefing me. He says that Candy unilateral, unilaterally removed him by having family members move his belongings while she was away in New York working on a Broadway project. Because Candy is living in New York right now for and. And Juliet. Ty goes on to say that he's been the one in Georgia caring for their children. And he keeps claiming this like. And I look, I don't know Ty personally. I have met Candy. Candy is sweet. So, you know, this is a blanket statement, but I don't know if I could keep a cordial with somebody claiming that because I get up and go to work and I'm living and working within the lifestyle that I've been doing this for 20 plus years now, that I'm not properly providing for my children, as if this is a new lifestyle for me. And then look, Candy Burris meanwhile, is accusing him of not paying rent and bills or contributing to any recent birthday expenses again, which is crazy because it's like on all these occasions you see them together and there's photos and they're trying to figure it out. But then, so it's like that's what you see on face value. Then behind the scenes it's like, dun, dun, dun. And then like in the middle, in the public is all the divorce filings. And like, we're here again, just like the just like Cardi B. And whether or not she's broken up with Stefan Diggs. We're trying to figure out everything in the middle right here. You got Candy, you got Tide, you got. Is she too busy? Is she working too much? Is he paying bills? Is he a squatter? Wow. Squatter is crazy to call a grown man. And then everything in between, like, it just hit me like, yo, if I was a grown ass man with kids, with somebody having to be like, oh, you threw me out. So I'm just in the back house. Like, I would be pissed having to be like, yeah, I'm just in the back house because you threw me out. And she's like, you ain't paying no rent. Get out my. Like, it seems like it's a lot going on. I will say my girl Candy is holding it down. She is performing on Broad Day Broadway six days a week. She is living in New York, which I feel like whenever. I don't know about y'. All. If you have ever been broken up with while you were at work or found out like, your person was cheating or just like, anything while you were at work or just not in, like, your private, normal home setting, it literally feels like you're sliding down the wall. Like, you're slowly sliding down the wall. Like, everything is just like, oh, my God. That is the worst feeling ever. I remember I found out my ex had a baby while we were still trying to figure out our relationship. Mid TMZ tour, giving a tour around Hollywood. They had to pull the. But, like, I. They literally had to pull the bus over. I could not even talk. I can't imagine. Like, I mean, I know Todd had been posting earlier on in all of this about just being kind of all over the place and missing his mom. Like, divorce is rough. I can't imagine being. Being every single day getting up and being on Broadway. And I saw Todd, you know, they're still, you know, figuring out the visitation with their. Their children, their young children. And I saw him post a picture. He was, like, on daddy duty, like, trying to brush his younger daughter's hair or do his younger daughter's hair. You got to hold it together for them babies is I. I'm not trying to get there. Can't even lie to you. And I don't think they were trying to get there. I think things just happen. No, I'm good. I am good. And it's crazy because I feel like normally in situations like this, you could kind of see it coming. I don't know if I Would say that I could see it coming with Todd and Candy. I wasn't divorced. I mean, divorced. Of course I wasn't divorced. Because that's what I'm speaking on myself. I know that's right, Lauren. I wasn't surprised when I saw the initial divorce filing. I think a lot of the conversation surrounding their relationship and just how, like, even Candy's mom would react to and treat Todd. Like, in my mind, I was always like, one day he gonna get tired of this. He's gonna get tired of being like, you only got money because of Candy. She's taking care of you. Her mom don't like you. This, this, that, and the third. Like, he's gonna get tired of being her shadow. I always felt like that watching him. But I thought that, like, a deeper love would prevail. Cause it seemed like he was locked in. He really loved her, loved their family unit and could quiet out the noise. But it's tough. And again, we don't even really know what happened. She said that there was a specific event. She has yet to tell us that specific event. I've been asking since they wanted a divorce, you know, trying to figure out from her team what happened happen. And we just haven't. We don't know. We have not found out yet. But it got to be rough. Has to. And I feel like the documents, the court filings give you the real deal, the insight. Because on surface level, baby, they are making this look good. Okay? And nothing about divorce looks or feels good. I'm sure. Never been there before. Don't want to go there. But, like, there's no way, especially not when you are living it so publicly like Todd and Candy are, period. Like, there's no way. Segregation in the day, integration at night. Now, quick update here. We're going to talk about this more on the Breakfast Club, so make sure you tune into the latest with Lauren, the Rosa over there on that side as well too. Chet Hanks had posted a video about being stranded, you know, right now with everything going on and, you know, America attacking all these different places. Anybody talking about they're stranded anywhere, it's just not good. Check Hank. Chet Hanks posted a video and a lot of people thought, okay, wait, so there's something wrong. Immigration wise, Tom Hanks and Trump have exchanged, you know, insults. Is this one big plot to get chat. Chat Hank, because, you know, Trump do what he want to do, period. So let's take a listen to what Chad Hank said because I spoke to him and I have an update on how he'll be getting Home. Let's. So y' all ready for a story time? So I go to Puerto Rico last week for my homie Max's birthday. Have a good time. Then I'm in Puerto Rico, and we're all. All about to leave. I go, h. I'm only, you know, two, three. Three hours away from Medellin. Why don't I go pull up on my homie Taylor who lives in Medellin. It. Yeah, sounds good, right? Well, check this out. I'm traveling with my Greek passport because I'm a dual citizen. Reason I didn't use my American passport is because it's about to expire. And sometimes they don't let you in the country, even if it hasn't expired, but it's about to expire. So I take my Greek passport, supposed to leave today. I go to the airport to check in my flight three hours early. This is international flight. They tell me that if I'm using a foreign passport, I need a green card to get back into America. I don't have a green card because I'm an American citizen. I don't have my American passport with me. So I'm literally stuck in Colombia. I'm stuck in Medellin. Granted, there's worse places to be stuck, but I literally have no idea what I'm gonna do. And the only embassy to get this settled is in Bogota. I don't want to go to Bogota. So, yeah, free me. You know what I'm saying? Free me. Free me is kind of. Free me is crazy. Like, there are people that are dealing with so much. So much more pressing circumstances when it comes to being not able to enter back into the US or being like, you know, immigration is a real conversation right now. And Chad Hanks is fine. Like, for real. Seriously, he is fine. I. I spoke to him earlier today, and he was telling me that he. He figured it out. He's basically just going to have to get his American passport sent to where he is so there. And I'm like, well, why would you be traveling without an American passport? Like. Like, who does that? I don't care how many citizenships you have. And he said because he is a dual citizen, he basically just only had his Greek passport, which is not going to work for him. So they're finding a way to send over his pass to send his passport over to him now, and then he'll be booking a flight out, but he still is gonna have to deal with, like, immigration and, like, you know, all of. All of that. But ciao. They just bombed Iran. And there are people over there. Like, I talked about this earlier on the Breakfast Club today. Like, Dawn Staley from South Carolina, from the South Carolina women's basketball team had posted about three former players from the South Carolina team who are over in Iran. And because of everything that happened with the missile strikes, they're stuck there. And some of them are like, you know, they're like live tweenie updates and like, hey, like, we're in a place of peace for the next 20 minutes. No more. Like, I guess there's like, these sounds that go off because, like, there's missiles and bombs going off, and this all sounds very like, okay, this is happening, and boom, this is happening. And like. But imagine being in it. Imagine how frantic you would be being in that, especially being from the United States, where we have never had to experience nothing like that. Chad Hanks is fine. He'll be all right. I promise you guys. He will be okay. My mom woke up freaking out over the weekend on Sunday morning when it was all the news about the Iran strikes and, you know, and everything happened in Iran at the hands of the United States. My mom was like, do we go get guns and build a bunker? And I'm like, girl, by the time you do that, we be like, if they coming for us, by the time you do that, they didn't came and left. Like, no, we don't. I don't know. She's like, well, what do we do? I don't know, girl. I'm only 34. I ain't never even really seen a war. Like, I mean, y' all know what I mean. Like, never here in front of me. Growing up in the U. S. Like, I don't know. But it did make me start thinking, how do you prepare for emergencies like that in the U.S. so it's like, okay, is it stocking up on food? And then it's like, okay, you stock up on food, but is the place that you're staying in physically capable of being safe? And then it's like, okay, if not, where do you go? Like, I. I try not to have anxiety or worry about these things, but the way that my mom is set up, I don't have a choice. So any, you know, suggestions for safety in a situation like that? Just in case. And I'm a knock on wood. Just in case anything come our way, please send it to me so I can let my mom know, because baby girl is losing it over this stuff. Trump has scared the hell out of her. And that was another thing I asked Chad Hanks, too. I mean, I mentioned this earlier. Like, you know, he's not stuck there because of any issue that his dad did or did not have, did have with Trump. That is a big thing. I mean, even people in the media traveling to these different places, like, one of the things, one of the conversations that people are having is like, hey, make sure you're not being targeted. Like, there are obviously these lists. Like, you want to be careful. Be very careful. Like, everything is, like, changing now. Like, the way we are able to speak and lack thereof. Just the things that we are worried about. The first thing someone asked me when they asked me, did I see that Chet Hanks interview was, do you think it's because of his dad's back and forth with Donald Trump? And I'm like, that is crazy. Donald Trump is our president. He should not be beefing with anybody enough to just personally do anything that crazy. But it was so believable. It was sad. Like, I literally reached out to chat, and I'm like, are you sure you can come back? Because, like, your dad be beefing with Trump? And he was like, it has nothing to do with that. I promise you. And I'm like, okay, okay. Heard you. At the end of the day, y', all, there's always a lot to talk about, and I tell you guys every single episode. Like most people, I kept thinking about the commercials, and there was one that stayed with me. It was from the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate, and it wasn't loud or flashy. It showed a Jewish kid being targeted at school and another student who chose not to ignore it. As someone who was Jewish, that moment felt very real to me. Not dramatic, just familiar. And what struck me was how clearly it showed that hate doesn't always announce itself, but the impact is still huge. If you saw the blue square spot during the big game, it's worth thinking about. And if you want to show support, sharing the blue square is one small way to do that. Talking to your kids about the dangers of vaping can be hard. Getting them to listen to hot gossip is easy. So here's some drama you could share with your kid. Dude, did you hear about Cassie and Jake? No. But did you hear that vaping can cause irreversible lung damage and nicotine affects brain development? Nuh. You don't need to gossip if you want to have an open conversation about vaping. So if you want to get tips on when and how to talk to your kids, visit talkaboutvaping.org, brought to you by the American Lung association and the AD Council on the Adventures of Curiosity Cove Podcast what if the Right Fit isn't what everyone expects?
