I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything and everybody exclusive.
Podcast Host
I don't know if you don't lie about that.
Lauren LaRosa
Right. Lauren came in hot. Back on the grinding. Hey, y'. All. What's up? It's Lauren LaRosa. And this is the latest with Lauren LaRosa. This is your daily dig on all things pottery, culture, entertainment news, and all of the conversations that shake the room. So Portia Williams, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Portia Williams. Everybody loves Portia. That's our girl revealed that she is dating. I would say reveal for the first time, but it is not the first time. A few months ago, during Culture Con, Portia actually told us that she was dating. She said she was dating a man and a woman. Let's take a listen. So the people who I'm talking to now, it's just two. I've narrowed it down to two. Okay.
Commercial Announcer
Okay.
Lauren LaRosa
And he is nice, and she is nice. Yeah. So this was October 4th, and it is now, you know, a little bit after Thanksgiving, beginning of December. So at that point, it sounds like Portia had been dating these people for some time. She knew them in the situation well enough to speak about it in a way where she said, you know, these people basically challenge her. And they. They come with substance and fullness. And that doesn't sound like somebody you just are, like, casually dating here and there, somebody new to your life. If I'm being honest with you, this sounds like a person who is actually making you think twice about yourself, your decisions, how you show up in a relationship, and honestly, paying attention to how they show up in a relationship because you might want something more serious. Well, Portia has showed us what she wants to be more serious because, baby, Portia popped out with her new girlfriend. This is a entrepreneur, I'm told. She's from Atlanta. Her name is Sway, and she and her twin are really big in the ownership business of real estate and beauty business when it comes to salon suites, and very successful at it at that. And I will say that, like, one thing about Portia, Portia is not dating anybody that don't got nothing to bring to no table. Okay, Portia brings the table, but, baby, she makes sure they pull up with a cafeteria full of them. And I'm not mad at her. I am not mad at her at all. At Portia's age and, you know, experience and all the things, not even age, but because Portia, you know, Portia look good as hell all the time. But with everything that Portia has accomplished in her life, let's just think about these last, like, what, like, five years alone, right? The star of Portia Williams has risen so much. Y' all crazy if y' all think she deserved to be dealing with anybody else that, like, match her fly when it comes to. I mean, physically, but, I mean, to each his own. You know, people find personality cute as well, too, but I mean that in a sense of, like, you know, how they're able to provide and to do for her. And, you know, I posted a video exclusively of Portia celebrating the birthday of her new boo in Atlanta over the weekend. I was told that there were, like 200 plus guests there, beauty professionals and execs and CEOs from all over. Because, as I told you, Portia's new boo and her twin sister are entrepreneurs and really big in the investment space. So it was a good time. But Portia was there celebrating, and y' all had a lot to say in the comments. So let's say get to the streets in the tweets. Okay, let's get into some of these comments. All right, so I heart Miko. Love Miko. She says, these men are so sassy. You might be better off with a stud. Somebody got to act like a man. I love this for my friend. She's talking about Portia. Ladies, f the rules. Date them all until you find the one that's not embarrassing. Female or male. Yolo. Okay, so there's another comment here that says, don't believe any of it. At Portia4Real is working on a storyline for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Someone else commented, said Portia might have met her match. This one got fans, too. Oh, laugh out loud. It's gonna get good, y', all, with the popcorn emoji. Someone else said relevance is a powerful drug. Ms. Purdy said Portia knows where the money resides. Clock it. So basically, I mean, it's divided. It's like you got the people that are like, all right, bet Portia is. To me, she is such, like, the fun friend. Like, she's fun, she's flirty, she's cute as hell. She's figuring it out. She's having a good time. But I think because people get to see her life so much and get to see her, you know, with her child's father, Dennis, that not work out. People Felt like she moved fast in that relationship, and then she's with Simon, and that did not work out. And people felt like, oh, that was your friend's, you know, husband. And then you moved in, which I did a story for TMZ some years ago about how that wasn't true, how they weren't ever really friends. Production of Real Housewives of Atlanta just made it seem that way. Check it. Okay. Yeah, did that. But then you have people that feel like this is all just for a storyline. And why do girls always decide that they want to date women publicly after they've been through hell and high water with a man? I personally feel like even if Portia didn't have the cameras, I think she gives me the type that, you know, she's going to do all the things she wants to do in her life until she decides what she wants to do, whether it is me with a woman for the rest of her life, a man for the rest of her life, she wants to try it all, to figure it out. And I also think, too, y' all don't get Portia no grace. But when we met Portia on Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was young and she was married. It wasn't a good situation at all, but she was young and she was married. And since then, Portia has been serious in monogamy with, like. It's not like we've seen Portia out here just dating a bunch of random people. Every time we've seen her pop out with someone, it's been to the point where it's serious. Right? And I think as a girl who's experienced a super serious relationship and then went into the dating scene, I mean, I didn't date girls, but I. I kind of have a grace for women who are just like, I want to date what I think I like and figure out if I like that, if I like this person the way they treat me, you know, if, if whatever, like, whatever my preference is, not even when it comes to, you know, gender, but just, like, how I'm treated, how I'm cared for, how I'm talked to, you gotta get out there to figure that out. And I think when you're young and you're in such serious situations so young, you don't get that chance. And I, I, I do believe from personal experience, y' all don't give women the same chance to do that. Like, y', all, y' all don't like. I don't know why so many people are bothered by Portia and her choosing to Date anybody. Cause that's just not. Let's not just make it about it being a woman, right? Or however Portia's boot, however Portia boo identifies. Because that's another thing as well, too. We don't even know that. But let's make this about Portia dating anyone in general. It could have been a freaking alien that came down to earth and decided they were purple because Portia, Portia in purple, y' all would have still been upset. It's this thing of, like, once you're in a relationship and it's in the public eye, it has to work out. You don't have. And I get it. I understand that, too. I feel like, you know, with Portia being a real housewife and giving so much of her life to the public, that comes with a lot of judgment and backhanded compliments. Observations, feelings, and opinions. A lot of people are making feelings, observations and opinions based on experiences they've never been through and based on things they would never do themselves. And I think, you know, she's had to have gotten to a place where that doesn't really bother her per se, because she still continues to put it out there when she's serious about the situation. But, y', all, the girl has been in nothing but marriages. Let her do her little one, too, okay? Have her fun. What is the issue here? Because it's not just because Portia is dating a woman or however her new boo identifies. Portia could be dating this wall behind me. Y' all would still be upset. Please tell me why.

What's up? It's Big Loon from It's Up There podcast. On this episode, we're unpacking the difference between toxic love and a real bond. How so many of us were taught to survive love instead of experiencing it. A lot of men think being solid means being silent. I'm good. I got it. That's the script we memorize before we even know ourselves. Because somewhere along the line, expression got labeled weakness. So now we perform composure while we're falling apart. You share your body, but not a conversation. And that's not intimacy. But what if being a man really means you care enough to communicate? Real love isn't loud. It's consistent. It's the small things, the small check ins, the shared accountability, the honesty that feels awkward but keeps everyone safe. Stop confusing numbness with dependability. We gotta break the cycle and break the pattern. This special episode of It's Up There podcast with long brought to you by Healthy Sexual from Gilead sciences on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcast.

I have reached out for more details. I'm trying to figure out how long they've been dating. When Portia first revealed this information that they were dating, this was a thing. And I mean, the second time around. So the first time it was in Culture Con back early October. The second time around, she posted up holiday photos around Thanksgiving in front of the tree, all booed up. So I'm like, okay, let me know what's going on. Did they spend the holidays together? Have they met each other's families? Like, where are we right now? I was also told, too, from a source that Portia does start out dating a man in the beginning of this upcoming season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. And I'm trying to figure out, does new boo, does new BAE pop up on this season? What's tea? What's given? Or did this get this official after the camera stopped rolling, or are the cameras still rolling? Because I feel like they roll through throughout the winter until, like, the summertime. But there were no cameras with her at this birthday party, so we'll see. But that also don't mean anything either, because the way Real Housewives of Atlanta will grab some video from the people that was there from Instagram, from Freddie O photo shout out to him. He, you know, helped me with the the photo assistant exclusive video. Make sure you go check that out on the Brown Girl grinding page. We took y' all right into the birthday party with Portia Williams. You never know. But we'll be back with all the details, of course. Thank you guys for tuning in. Episode: Loren LoRosa Breaks Down Porsha Williams’ New Relationship Era
Date: December 2, 2025
Host: Loren LoRosa
Produced by: The Black Effect and iHeartPodcasts
Loren LoRosa dives deep into the buzz surrounding Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams and her new relationship era. In classic Loren fashion, the episode weaves exclusive insights, fan reactions, and candid commentary to unpack not just the headline of Porsha dating a woman, but the broader conversation about how public figures, especially Black women, navigate romance and public scrutiny. Loren brings receipts, context, and a reflective tone, positioning herself both as an insider and an empathetic observer of cultural conversation.
Timestamp: 03:19 – 06:00
Porsha Williams, a beloved Real Housewives of Atlanta star, publicly confirmed a new relationship with a woman named Sway, an entrepreneurial Atlanta-based salon and real estate mogul.
LoRosa clarifies that this isn't actually the "first revelation"—Porsha openly discussed dating both a man and a woman at Culture Con back in early October, saying:
LoRosa emphasizes that Porsha only gets serious with people who "bring something to the table," highlighting her evolution over the past five years.
Timestamp: 06:00 – 07:20
Timestamp: 07:20 – 09:40
Timestamp: 09:40 – 11:21
Loren defends Porsha against critics:
Loren emphasizes the double standard women, specifically Black women, face in the public eye:
Broader reflection: Loren draws parallels to her own life and the societal expectation that women, after being in serious, visible relationships, aren’t allowed to explore and find what truly makes them happy.
Timestamp: 15:20 – 16:30
Loren attempts to piece together the timeline and authenticity of Porsha's relationship:
She reveals that, according to her sources, Porsha starts out dating a man in the next RHOA season:
Loren hints the RHOA producers might use Instagram or event footage for future storylines, keeping viewers guessing about what’s “real.”
Timestamp: 16:30 – 17:26
Loren LaRosa, on judgment:
“People are making feelings, observations and opinions based on experiences they've never been through and based on things they would never do themselves.” (11:08)
Loren LaRosa, on Porsha’s options:
“Portia brings the table, but, baby, she makes sure they pull up with a cafeteria full of them.” (06:39)
Fan Comment (read by Loren):
“Ladies, f the rules. Date them all until you find the one that's not embarrassing. Female or male. YOLO.” (08:10)
Loren on public scrutiny:
“Once you're in a relationship and it's in the public eye, it has to work out...with Portia being a real housewife and giving so much of her life to the public, that comes with a lot of judgment and backhanded compliments.” (10:38)
Loren maintains her signature “homegirl” energy—knowledgeable, direct, but empathetic—creating an inclusive and welcoming space for dissecting celebrity news, with undercurrents of Black female empowerment, media literacy, and realness.
This episode is essential listening for followers of Porsha Williams, Real Housewives fans, and anyone fascinated by the interplay of celebrity, romance, and public judgment in the digital age. Loren deftly cuts through the noise, supporting Porsha’s autonomy while giving listeners the inside scoop, industry context, and reflective commentary that makes “The Latest with Loren LoRosa” a standout in pop culture podcasting.
