Welcome to the Level up podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together. Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex and today we are tackling the one employee you need to fire immediately. Your own ego. Because let's be real. If you need to be the smartest person in the room at all times, your room is going to stay very small. And if you refuse to listen to anyone else, your business is going to hit a wall. Let's break down how to step out of your own way without losing your authority. First, understand that true confidence does not need to boast. Too many people think stepping back makes them look weak. It does not. It if you are correcting every single tiny mistake your team makes just to prove you are the boss, you are micromanaging. Whether it is a marketing campaign or a new product launch. Leadership only works if you empower the people around you. If you hold all the power, you kill their initiative. Second, hire people who intimidate you. People do not build billion dollar companies by surrounding themselves with average talent. They build them by hiring absolute savages who are better at their jobs than the founder ever was. So instead of feeling threatened by a brilliant employee, give them the resources they need. Make their massive success the highlight of your leadership. Lastly, let the results feed your pride, not the daily arguments. When you build a culture where the best idea wins, regardless of who said it, innovation explodes. Humble leadership, extreme accountability and open communication create an unstoppable force. When you drop the ego, you raise the revenue. Bottom line, you cannot grow a massive company if you are too busy growing your ego. Hire the best step back and let them work. Because when you do, you will expand faster than ever. Thanks for tuning in to the Level up podcast. I'm Paul Alex reminding you a smart leader builds a team of giants. Drop the ego empower your crew and as always, keep leveling up. Thanks for listening up to the Level up podcast.
