Welcome to the Level up podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together. Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level up podcast. I'm Paul Alex and today we're diving into the difference between giving up and and getting smart. The power of the micro pivot. Because let's be real, if you're aggressively driving a car in the exact wrong direction, your speed doesn't matter. And if you refuse to turn the wheel, you are going to crash. Let's break down how to change your approach without abandoning your vision. First, understand that the market's feedback is completely undefeated. Too many people think sticking to a broken strategy makes them resilient. It it just makes them stubborn. If your offer isn't converting after extensive testing, the market is telling you loud and clear that something is off. Whether the price is wrong, the messaging is weak, or the timing is bad, dedication only pays off if the strategy is right. If you ignore the data, you kill your Runway. Second, you don't have to burn the house down to remodel the kitchen. People don't succeed by completely starting over every time they hit a wall. They succeed by adjusting the trajectory by 2 degrees. So instead of throwing your entire business model in the trash, isolate the one variable that is failing, make a small calculated shift in your messaging, and test it again. Lastly, divorce your ego from your initial idea. When you care more about winning than you do about being right, you become incredibly dangerous. Fast iterations, fluid strategies, and absolute adaptability create market dominance. When you pivot quickly, you profit quickly. Bottom line, there is no price for going down with a sinking ship. Read the data, adjust the sails, and find the current that actually moves you forward. Because when you do, you'll hit your goals faster than ever. Thanks for tuning in to the Level up podcast. I'm Paul Alex reminding you flexibility is the ultimate survival skill. Make the pivot, catch the momentum, and as always, keep leveling up. Thanks for listening up to the Level up podcast. In this episode, Paul Alex dives into a critical entrepreneurial skill: distinguishing when to persevere versus when to adapt. He dissects the concept of the “micro-pivot”—making small, strategic changes instead of stubbornly sticking to what’s not working or scrapping everything entirely. The conversation centers on using market feedback, decoupling ego from business decisions, and developing the adaptability required to win in both business and life.
On refusing to adapt (00:35):
"If you're aggressively driving a car in the exact wrong direction, your speed doesn’t matter. And if you refuse to turn the wheel, you are going to crash."
On market feedback (01:01):
"Dedication only pays off if the strategy is right. If you ignore the data, you kill your runway."
On small changes (01:33):
"You don’t have to burn the house down to remodel the kitchen… They succeed by adjusting the trajectory by 2 degrees."
Letting go of ego (02:01):
"When you care more about winning than you do about being right, you become incredibly dangerous."
On adaptability (02:38):
"Flexibility is the ultimate survival skill. Make the pivot, catch the momentum, and as always, keep leveling up."
Paul Alex uses candid, motivational language to urge listeners not to confuse commitment with stubbornness—and not to set fire to their progress when a tweak would suffice. His message is clear: listen to the market, be willing to shift your approach (even if just slightly), and place winning above pride. As he champions the art of the micro-pivot, listeners are left with actionable advice: read the data, make smart adjustments, and always stay flexible to keep leveling up.
