Welcome to the Level up podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together. Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level up podcast. I'm Paul Alex and today we are talking about the ultimate superpower in high stakes business, emotional control. Because let's be real, if you let a bad Tuesday completely ruin your entire week, you do not have the mental stamina required to scale an empire. Let's break down how to become the stoic CEO. First, realize that chaos is literally part of the job description. In my law enforcement days, panic was the fastest way to lose control of a dangerous situation. Business is no different. Too many founders ride a massive emotional rollercoaster. They are ecstatic when a deal closes and devastated when a client walks away. That volatility exhausts your team. Whether the market crashes or a vendor goes bankrupt, the facts remain the facts. If you lose your temper, you kill your ability to solve the problem. Second, you have to insert a massive pause between the event and your reaction. People do not navigate crises by screaming at their staff. They navigate them by stepping back, looking at the data, and making cold, logical decisions. So instead of firing off an angry email the second you get bad news, close the laptop. Make logic the only filter for your leadership. Lastly, stillness is a magnet for trust. When your company hits a massive speed bump and you are the only one in the room maintaining absolute composure, your authority becomes undeniable. Emotional intelligence, calculated responses, and unshakable confidence create a fortress around your culture. When you conquer your emotions, you conquer the boardroom. Bottom line, you cannot control what the market does, but you have absolute control over how you respond to it. Stay frosty, look at the math, and execute the solution. Because when you do, you will navigate the storms better than ever. Thanks for tuning in to the Level up podcast. I'm Paul Alex reminding you panic is a choice. Choose logic, lead the team, and as always, keep leveling up. Thanks for listening up. To the Level up podcast.
