Welcome to the Level up podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together. Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. What's up, everybody? And welcome back to the Lowball podcast. I'm Paul Alex, and today we're going to be talking about something that separates the real leaders from control freaks. Why great leaders don't micromanage. Look, if you feel the need to control every little detail in your business, let me tell you right now, you're slowing yourself down. So let's go ahead and break it down. First, micromanaging can kill growth. Guys, when I started scaling my businesses, I had to learn to step back and let my team do their thing. Look, if you're consistently hovering over someone, checking every move, you're not leading, you're actually babysitting. A strong team doesn't need a babysitter. They need a leader who trusts in his team. Okay, so second, micromanaging destroys morale. It's the quickest way to destroy morale. No one wants to work for someone who doesn't trust them. Look, if you've hired the right people, you need to let them own their own roles. I've seen businesses fall apart because great leaders wouldn't let go of control. Your job isn't to do everything. It's to empower your team to win. Lastly, real leaders delegate and focus on the bigger picture. My businesses didn't scale because I learned to trust my team, set clear expectations and then let them execute. That freed up my time to focus on growth strategy and innovation. Micromanaging keeps you stuck in the weeds. Leadership moves you forward. Bottom line, guys, if you want to build a thriving business, stop micromanaging and start leading. Hire smart. Trust your people and give them room to excel. That's how you build a powerhouse team. Thanks for tuning in to Level up podcast. I'M Paul Alex reminding you that lead with trust, not control.
