Tasha Day
A lot of us are stuck in is in. In that mindset of I'm probably going to die this way. No, but it doesn't have to be like that, you guys. That's the thing. So awareness is number one. You have to understand what it is that you're feeling. If you don't know what you're suffering with.
Ray Gutierrez
No.
Tasha Day
Then how are you supposed to fix it? You may think that you're disqualified, right, Based off of your story, but that disqualification is only someone else's perspective. Use that disqualification what you think won't fix. You get your story out there because you could possibly save someone's life one day with your story.

It spans the globe like a super high Internet. Elvis Preston. I agree. Today Apple is going to reinvent the phone. It's not over until I win. The Living youg Legacy podcast for those who live to leave a legacy that's extraordinary. The impossible has been. Oh, that is sensational. Jordan Open Chicago with the lead. Usain Paul is the fastest man on the planet. You can live your dream.
Ray Gutierrez
Welcome back to another episode of the Living youg Legacy podcast, the Women in Power edition. For Inside Success. I am Ray Gutierrez. Joining me today. Oh, what. What a day is Tasha Day. Tash Day. I've got a. I got a cheat sheet here. It says here Tasha Day is a woman in power because she transforms pain into purpose, guiding others to heal through Deep Waves life coaching.
Tasha Day
Yes, sir. Thank you so much for having me here today. It's a pleasure.
Ray Gutierrez
Right on, dude. You, your energy is radiating as I bounce my microphone back and forth. You clearly just finished filming your episode for Women in Power. Yes, I can tell. Yes, I can. The power is resonating off of you. I can feel it. What are we going to learn about you?
Tasha Day
You're going to learn how to take all of the trauma and the abuse and the chaos that you have lived in your life and I'm going to teach you to rewrite that, break free from those limiting beliefs. And rewrite your story with strength, power, and authenticity.
Ray Gutierrez
I love all that. And you mentioned my life. How about generational trauma? The stuff that I don't even know happened?
Tasha Day
Exactly. Generational trauma. That's a good question. You bring that up because there is a thing called epigenetics, and that gets carried through our grandmothers, down to our mothers, down to us. So initially, what happens is we don't know this, but we do carry on our grandmother's trauma. It is in our genome. So once I started recognizing signs in my own children of depression and my daughter really struggling with suicidal thoughts and stuff, right after my mom passed away, I knew that I had to do something within myself so that she wouldn't feel this pain anymore. So it started with me, and now it trickles on to her. So I have put in all of the shadow work, all of the generational trauma work that you could possibly think of, and here I am breaking those chains today.
Ray Gutierrez
Fantastic. I'm all about this, especially for someone that was raised by their grandmother. I am completely familiar with generational trauma.
Tasha Day
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ray Gutierrez
Talk about how you're empowering folks and educating folks about this trauma that is unseen, but it's very much, very much felt.
Tasha Day
It is felt, and it is silently carried by a lot of us. And what we need to realize is that you are not alone. There are so many people struggling with abuse and addiction, whatever the case is, and my job is to step in there, help you rewrite your story, because I know that it's been dictated by so many other influences in your life, most likely friends and family. So let's get rid of that old story. Let's rewrite a new one, and let's let me help you step into your full power, because I know what you're capable of, and I want you to see that as well.
Ray Gutierrez
I love it. Your. Your. Your. Your intonation, your musical tone is nice and high, but I'm sure it hasn't always been that way. I'm sure there was a. A darker part of. Of. Of your story. Let's. Let's dive deep a little deeper.
Tasha Day
Yeah. I struggled with depression and anxiety most of my life, but I started really feeling it in my teens. I suffered an ectopic pregnancy. I dropped out of high school. I've been through so much. I've lost both of my parents. And so I knew that, like, there's more out there. Like, this is not how my story has to end, and I'm gonna prove it. So hold my beer and watch this.
Ray Gutierrez
I love It. Some folks that are truly walking the divine path without even knowing are thrown these miraculous, ridiculously dark challenges and they figure out, wow, that was quite a lesson. If it wasn't for xyz, I wouldn't be zab. You know what I mean?
Tasha Day
Exactly. Exactly.
Ray Gutierrez
How are you putting light on this. On this subject matter? Because, boy, there's a lot of darkness out there and there's a lot of folks that are angry.
Tasha Day
Yeah.
Ray Gutierrez
How are you truly putting a light on their day?
Tasha Day
Yeah. Good question. So the most important thing for me is awareness. Awareness is key. If you don't know what you're suffering with.
Ray Gutierrez
No.
Tasha Day
Then how are you supposed to fix it?
Ray Gutierrez
Oh, yeah.
Tasha Day
So we're going to dive deep into your childhood traumas and your past, recognize where you came from, and realize that that doesn't have to be you. You can be something else and someone else.
Ray Gutierrez
I always like to say, this is like every time you open up a comic book or watch a Star wars movie or listen to a song, that all that is about you, it just happens to be created by someone else that's actually you. You and your. It's a whole. It's a whole different podcast.
Interjection/Unknown
No.
Tasha Day
Yeah, it totally is, though.
Ray Gutierrez
I was born and raised in Miami. I figured out all this stuff when I moved out to the west coast, if you catch my meaning. And I'm back in Miami now. I'm. I feel like I'm a sort of like a weird wizard in front of this microphone.
Tasha Day
I love that.
Ray Gutierrez
So I appreciate you coming on the show and making me feel a little less crazy.
Tasha Day
I have my own podcast show, so I know how it feels. It's okay.
Ray Gutierrez
All right, on how. How are you reacting to folks being attractive to such a bizarre message? Like, things suck, but they will get better.
Tasha Day
Right. And that's where a lot of us are stuck in. Is in. In that mindset of I'm probably going to die this way. Right? Yes. Like, literally, I am.
Ray Gutierrez
What.
Tasha Day
What do I do?
Ray Gutierrez
Or the waking up and go, fuck? Really?
Tasha Day
With this? Am I going to be miserable forever? Yeah. No. But it doesn't have to be like that, you guys. That's the thing. So awareness is number one. You have to understand what it is that you're feeling. And because our emotions create our thoughts, and then in turn, our thoughts create our actions. So if we can go back and rewrite our emotions, where they really come from, I'm going to emotionally regulate you is what's going to happen. And I'm going to build up your self confidence. To where you're not going to recognize yourself. You're going to be like, oh, my God, who am I? Because that's what happened for me.
Ray Gutierrez
Oh, yeah.
Tasha Day
So I know it's possible. I mean, there's. There were so many nights and years even of me not wanting to get up out of bed and me close nearly to death almost.
Ray Gutierrez
Oh, yeah. I have an anniversary date.
Tasha Day
Yeah, I do, too.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah.
Tasha Day
Yeah. So, yeah.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah. It's kind of scary to be a survivor, per se, because now you're just like, well, you know, I'm going to do the life thing, but at the same time, I have the ability to stop. That's the way it really works. That's a power that's not really. Shouldn't be blessed to anyone because we are our divine energy. And I'm going to go on this whole ramp, but I'm going to. I don't want this all about you.
Tasha Day
No, please do.
Ray Gutierrez
No, no, no. This is all about you. I'm going to persuade this rant into your energy. What is your daily grind? What is your daily affirmations? You crawl out of bed and now you're seeing the light and feel it in your heart.
Tasha Day
Yes.
Ray Gutierrez
And you spring out. What's the first thing you do?
Tasha Day
Practice gratitude. And the first thing I do every single morning is name three things that I'm grateful for. And it could be the socks you're wearing, it could be the air in your lungs that you're breathing, it could be the food you're eating, but that's where it starts, is gratitude. Practicing gratitude will open up your heart chakra, which has been closed off for so long. Right. That's what trauma does.
Ray Gutierrez
It is very much a thing.
Tasha Day
And so really opening up that heart space, that's when the power of manifestation becomes real and it becomes aligned with who you are at your core essence. So gratitude and awareness. Awareness are the top two.
Ray Gutierrez
Gratitude and awareness. Let's talk about the awareness. Most folks aren't aware that there is a spiritual warfare happening around us. There's tons of frequencies, there's all sorts of photons and protons and dark matter that we do not see. We're not designed to see it. We're just divine humans that use 10% of their brain. And our eyes are only designed to see what we're allowed to see. How do you educate the folks about what they're not seeing and what they really should be feeling? It's not about the sight, it's about the feel.
Tasha Day
Right. So how I would do that is A lot of chakra work. You are totally unaligned. So we would do body scans, we would check where you're aligned, check where you're not aligned. See, that's the thing, is recognize what no longer serves you anymore. And you know what? If it leaves you lonely, which it will, because you're gonna take out all the trash and the garbage, right? Cause we're rewriting your whole life story. Get rid of the trash, step into your clear mindset, and let your creativity just flow. So I'm gonna tap into your heart chakra, see where you're at, and I'm going to really open up that heart space, whether you want me to or not. But you're gonna be there obviously to. You want. You want me to do the work for you and with you. And I'm absolutely all for that. But those are the things that I'm gonna really teach you how to do. Really tap into that heart space because that's really where it starts.
Ray Gutierrez
I love all this, but I gotta ask. How do you onboard the devil's advocate, the skeptic that's like, huh? What are you talking about? Clearly the barriers are up and no one's getting in. How do you start nicking at that energy and going, it's real. The force is real.
Tasha Day
It is real.
Ray Gutierrez
Follow the heart. Like, how do you. Is it a zoom call? You said energy scans and like it goes beyond X rays. This is a different kind of X ray. It is onboard me. How does this work?
Tasha Day
And I am a truly dark empath. And so when I. So when I do that 15 minute onboarding call with my client, I'm going to see if our energies. I can feel energy within like 10 seconds. I can read you within 10 seconds. So I'm already by that conversation. I'm going to know whether I want to work with you or not.
Ray Gutierrez
Is that great?
Tasha Day
That is great. So if you are one of those people that's like a skeptic and you don't believe in this stuff, I can't work with you. I literally can't because that's going to drain me and my energy. So if you're like, tasha, I am so broken inside, help me, please, Please help me. Then I will work with you.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah, that almost sounds like a prayer, doesn't it? Like you're speaking out and someone's come to help you.
Tasha Day
Absolutely. Yeah. No, you're so right.
Ray Gutierrez
It's funny how that works. Gosh, I want to dive a little deeper. What does your tribe look like today? Is it just you and your partner. Is it just you and a camera or is it a fl.
Tasha Day
My tribe is so beautiful now, I can't even tell you. I came from people who abused me my entire life. So I like to say that I am two years clean and sober from chaos.
Ray Gutierrez
Wow. Wow. That's just a great way of putting it.
Tasha Day
And the way that I did that is I built up this community by starting my own podcast show. And with that comes a lot of people that I have interviewed, like authors and doctors and psychedelic facilitators and just everybody that's in the healing community. I can't believe I never even knew this other world existed before. Trauma, right?
Ray Gutierrez
Yep.
Tasha Day
But here I am building this community, and I'm like, oh, my God, you guys are fuel for my soul. And we just have this. Oh, it's beautiful. So start by finding your tribe, finding your community based off of what you feel in your soul and in your gut. Don't base it off of someone else's story.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah. Things don't happen to you. They happen for you.
Tasha Day
For you. Yeah.
Ray Gutierrez
Be it negative or positive. When I had my anniversary about a couple of years ago, I went through that process where it's like, this is gonna take about five years for the whole universe to kind of just evolve. So for those five years, Ray, let's isolate and hide. No posting, no nothing. Just heal. Yeah, just heal. Take five years off. And when you figure out how to time compress those five years, it's gonna feel like five minutes. And it truly feels like it happened yesterday.
Tasha Day
Yeah, it's so true. And I was taught when I began my healing journey, believe it or not, the very first p of information I picked up was the book called the Secret.
Ray Gutierrez
Oh, gosh, here we go.
Tasha Day
From there, it just literally took off. I'm like, ooh, I wanna know more, I wanna know more. Then now I'm into sacred geometry. Now I'm into this and this and this. And I'm just like, ooh, gimme more, more, more. So, yeah, the more that I learn, I'm able to help my clients so that they don't have to do the work I already know. Mixed with my medical background, that's what sets me apart from most life coaches or therapists.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah, that's beautiful. Cause a lot of folks will step into this reality and kind of just wave and pretend they know what they're saying, and then they succumb to, like, their own ego. And then everyone's in pain. Nothing gets fixed.
Tasha Day
And I know tons of life coaches that Are just. I got their certificate, now I'm life coaching. Well, that's great and dandy, but where's the knowledge and the experience behind that?
Ray Gutierrez
And I guarantee you, these are the life coaches that are always stuck in traffic, never find the parking at the right time. Nothing is aligned to them. And when you can feel that this alignment, you got to just stop. And what do the Jedis do? They meditate.
Tasha Day
They meditate. Absolutely. You have to meditate. And if you. A lot of people don't know what meditation is, right? Well, meditation is literally just sitting alone in a quiet space with your thoughts. Okay. Listen to what it's telling you. Cause we're so stuck in. Stuck in this grind. Go, go, go, go. But nobody's sitting for five minutes to listen to what your heart really needs inside. So what it looks like is just sitting. I don't care where you sit on your bed, outside on a mat with your dogs. I don't care where you sit. Sit close your eyes for five minutes. Focus on your breathing. What is your breath doing? Are you holding it? Is it too much? Is it fast? Is it slow? Pay attention to your breathing. Pay attention to the grounding techniques. So, like, if you are overwhelmed and you get into a panic attack, reach for those. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Grounding techniques that really get grounded. Exactly. Yeah. Yep.
Ray Gutierrez
Right on. I've just recently started actually writing. I've got this little remarkable thing called the Remarkable. And I've noticed that I don't like to type digitally anymore. I've said, this is AI Anytime I use this thing, it's going to be an AI thing. It's not even me. The real me is going to be writing.
Tasha Day
Exactly.
Ray Gutierrez
Even if I'm writing the same thing over and over again, there's a reason why my body's saying, let it out. And I can see my. My. My anger, my pain, what I'm going through, that moment and the way I'm writing and the way I'm shaking.
Tasha Day
Why is that? Because you have a lot of somatic therapy work that you need to do within yourself.
Ray Gutierrez
Oh, yeah.
Tasha Day
Your body is so stuck, Literally. And I don't know if you've heard the book, the Body Keeps a Score, but it is a real thing. It is real.
Ray Gutierrez
Oh, yeah. And I'm keeping score. I'm like, oh, yeah.
Tasha Day
And so that's why writing feels so good. If you're moving, dancing, singing, humming, you're expressing energy. And while you're doing that, if you're going to the gym, you're doing the same thing. You're releasing that energy to bring you back into a calm state of mind. And there, you can meditate from there because it's. You're already in a calm state and you feel good. Your endorphins are going. The woo, the happy emotions, and the, ooh, feel goods are going. So, yeah, I love this.
Ray Gutierrez
It's very easy to be celebrating on this side of the spectrum, but then there's all the Sith lords in the darkness, the folks that are thriving in that. In that field of dark, but are still very motivated to be light. Talk about folks like me that are in that world and going, yo, black and gold is cool. You know, these other bright colors are great. White is all great. I get it. Especially as a santero. Color means something. It means something to the energy. Without the light, there is no dark. And without the dark, there is definitely no light.
Tasha Day
Right. Ying to yang.
Ray Gutierrez
Talk to folks that are still stuck there and they're literally going. And they go, whoa, maybe I shouldn't do this. Please listen to us.
Tasha Day
I'm so glad you, you just did that. Because that's where I used to be. Literally, I wanted to end my life. I didn't care. However, if I were to take that TV screen and turn it around, what would be on the back of it? Nothing.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah, cables.
Tasha Day
Just the cable. Right. But when you turn it around and you see that, or you see that beautiful painting right there, eyes open. So what does that mean? Perspective. As long as we can change our perspective, we can get our mindset right. Because that's where we need to start, is in our mindset and listening to motivational speakers and really educating yourself with books and podcasts and everything you can get your hands on. Open up your perspective. Because, oh, my gosh, it's so beautiful when you take those glasses off, you're like, oh, it's beautiful.
Ray Gutierrez
Yeah, yeah. No, no, it's great. Gosh, what a great, phenomenal way to end our. And wrap up our Thursday. What's. What's a great place to find you and continue to discover more about you and your journey?
Tasha Day
You can find me on Facebook and Instagram at Deep Waves Life Coaching, and you can find me on my website@deepwavescoaching.com
Ray Gutierrez
deepwavescoaching.com the Real Deal right here. And I'm. I, I, I can feel it. Any closing comments? Anything you'd like to say?
Tasha Day
I would just. I want to leave the audience with this, your story. Wherever you may be at right now, you may think that you're disqualified. Right. Based off of your story. But that disqualification is only someone else's perspective. Use that disqualification. What you think won't fix. You get your story out there because you could possibly save someone's life one day with your story. That's what I'm hoping to do with mine. And I know it's working. So the more we talk about it and the more we release it and show that it's okay to talk about these sensitive subjects, the more people will come out of their shell and be like, oh, okay, she's talking about it. I want to talk about it. Let's talk about it. Right?
Ray Gutierrez
Let's talk about it.
Tasha Day
Yeah. Yes. Let's talk about it.
Ray Gutierrez
Gosh, now we have to stop talking about it because this concludes our podcast. But with that, I'm sure folks are going to continue finding more about you. And gosh, to be continued. I'm really looking forward to your second episode.
Tasha Day
Yeah, that'd be great.
Ray Gutierrez
