Bruna Paban
I never saw myself as a woman in power. I always wonder, am I just a cleaner? It wasn't until I realized the power I had helping other women. Everybody that works for me is a mom. Giving them the freedom to be with their kids and changing their lives, but not just theirs.

Bruna Paban
A clean space is a clean headspace.
I don't function well in a messy space. Most people don't either. If you're a person that you know,
own a business, you can't come up with nicer ideas. You can't come up with a better plan, a better business plan, or a way to grow.
Raghu Teres
You're a woman in power because you help others rise. How would you define the concept of power in your own words? And what does it mean to you personally?
Bruna Paban
Personally helping other people rise? It's not something I do, is something I am.
When we talk about business, a lot
of people think money, money, money, money.
That's the first thing they see, right? But that's not enough.
Raghu Teres

Welcome back to another powerful episode of Women in Power. I'm Raghu Teres for the Inside Success Network. Joining me today is Bruna Bruno Pabom. Where are you from, Willow?
Bruna Paban
I am originally from Brazil.
Raghu Teres
Oh, wow.
Bruna Paban
Yeah.
Raghu Teres
Very cool. So talk about the journey from Brazil to here in 30 seconds.
Bruna Paban
In 30 seconds.
Raghu Teres
Back to the future montage.
Bruna Paban
Completely different culture.
Raghu Teres
Absolutely.
Bruna Paban
We are much hotter. And the weather, not the person. And we.
God, we love food.
Raghu Teres
Do you. I was about. I was in South Pablo for a minute. Water City.
Bruna Paban
We love.
Raghu Teres
We had to fly because we love a good steak. Yeah, for. For sure. Amazing. So tell us who you are.
Bruna Paban
Who I am. I am women in power. I am perseverance. I am overcome. I am Bruno Pobom. I have been through a lot and I am proud to owner of Super Cleaners NB and Coastal Phoenix team.
Powered by Innovate.
We Service the with service industry and
all of the communities. Cleaning, residential, commercial, post construction, coastal Phoenix team serves. We help first time home buyers, investors for, you know, new moms. Yeah.
Raghu Teres
So how did you get into this kind of business?
Bruna Paban
So I started with cleaning.
Raghu Teres
Okay.
Bruna Paban
My mom was into cleaning when we
moved to America and I started with
her and realized that quickly I can make a business out of it and
I didn't have to work for anybody.
So that's literally how I got started.
I just wanted the freedom to work for myself.
Raghu Teres
So folks look at cleaning businesses and go, oh man, it's like, no, no, no, no, no. There's a whole system, a whole underlying system SOP that you've built, I'm sure. Can you talk about why you find so much joy in this and why it's such a lucrative business?
Bruna Paban
Yes. I delegate. Right. Any business. You delegate. You have people that manage, you have
people that check the jobs.
You have people that inspire, inspire.
Raghu Teres
But you delegate.
Bruna Paban
Thank you. You have people that do the job. Right.
So we have cleaners, trained cleaners. We have people who check.
You know, I love organizing. Separating into categories and seeing it flow
like, see smoothly, like a smoothly sale, like smooth machine. You're right.
It is a business that most people
are like, ah, cleaning.
But the truth is more than people that you know are on the cleaning business. And I guarantee you that anybody even
listening, they know somebody who's in the cleaning business.
Raghu Teres
We, we run multiple studios here and I can't, I can't wait to tell you. I can't. My happiest days when the clean people are here because it's just like a breath of fresh air. All the humid, all the traffic and all the noise is finally clean. It's like a fresh reset.
Bruna Paban
Yeah.
Raghu Teres
It's actually helps our staff and even Rudy and myself have like a fresh start for the week. You just feel it in the energy, in the frequency of the room. Talk about how important that is.
Bruna Paban
Where I teach people all the time your home runs as smoothly as you.
So I have my house on the cleaning rotation all the time because I'm cleaning two kids, two dogs, two cats and two business. Somehow I had a gift with two. I don't know what that is, but I have them clean for me and it helps tremendously because I don't function
well in a messy space. Most people don't either. If you are a person that you
know, own a business or in any other industry, most likely if you are in a messy space, you don't function well. You can't come up with nice ideas. You can't come up with a better plan, a better business plan, or a way to grow.
You are overwhelmed by paperwork and stuff
and math and all the stuff you got to do. So even as being a woman is specifically even better for us because we want to clean everything we see, right? You're stressed. That's what we do. We clean. So that really helped my business too. When I was stressed, I could just clean, and it made us successful. But I don't think people realize how
much freedom most cleaners find in the job.
Raghu Teres
Oh, sure, talk about some of the systems you've put in place. Like, what is your. What is the philosophy that you're carrying on from your mom? Like, clean room is a powerful room. Is there, like a model that you live by that has been handed down to you?
Bruna Paban
A clean space is a clean head space. That's why we say in Brazil all the time, that is one of them. The second one, I tell people all
the time, make your bed.
Yeah, you get up in the morning, make your bed. Not about keeping it clean, but the principle of starting your day. And if you come back into that
room, you get the reward of, I did that.
And I know it's very, very simple, but it's. It starts a whole routine of a. A sequence of events that leads you
into a successful day.
Raghu Teres
So I gotta ask, what is your sequence of events when you're cleaning? Is it the floors, the walls? What goes first? And why is it the most optimized way to clean the space?
Bruna Paban
I start top to bottom.
Ceiling fans, corners, walls, all the way
down to the floor is the last thing.
Simply because if you're cleaning up right, if you clean the floors first, when
you clean the ceiling fan, the floor is a mess.
So just like in any home organization, top to bottom, the last thing to do is the floors.
You walk out, the home is ready.
Raghu Teres
So you are a woman in power. How does that make you feel? Kind of bizarre, huh?
Bruna Paban
It does.
Raghu Teres
Pretty cool.
Bruna Paban
It does.
I never saw myself that way. I always saw myself broken. For the longest time, I always saw myself half broken. I always wonder, am I just a cleaner?
Is this all I get to do?
I never saw myself as a woman in power. It wasn't until I realized the freedom financially, the freedom emotionally to work for myself, the power I had helping other women. Everybody that works for me is a mom, a single mom or a mom in some sort of capability, giving them the freedom to be with their kids and changing their lives, but not just theirs. The Customers, too. There's a lot of customers that walk in their house. Elder ladies, gentlemen. That they're alone, and they don't have nobody to help them or support them. And I have had many encounters where I'm ending up my cleaning appointment, hugging
and tears and encouraging them. And I have had many, many situations where I've felt like I stopped and counsel my clients rather than just clean. You know, I feel like we had
such a giving heart and a serving heart. That's what makes this business so worth doing it for me.
Raghu Teres
Before we get a little melancholy, I have to ask, what is the craziest space or mess you've cleaned?
Bruna Paban
Hoarders. And I did not know. And this is when I was cleaning. This is five years ago.
Raghu Teres
Is this what all Americans are like? Yes. No, it wasn't here in the United States.
Bruna Paban
It was in the United States, but it was not. Oh, Americans are like, no, no, there is. There is. You know, I cleaned her house. She had mental condition, and we came in to help her out. I was by the pen full picking
up trash by the pen full. It was the most intense job we've done. It was so bad that at some point I walked outside and I'm pretty sure I threw up.
Raghu Teres
Wow.
Bruna Paban
Yeah, that was really bad.
But we were really happy when he finished.
Raghu Teres
I was just gonna say, it doesn't get more visceral than that. How did that customer, that person's life change after you did this?
Bruna Paban
Oh, my God. Tremendously, you know, Tremendously. She had so much space. She cried. Of course she had so much space. She said, I know my house could look like this.
And I remember giving her a list and said, okay, go buy some new rugs, some new things. When she came back, the house was
clean, and she cried.
She.
She said I hadn't seen my floors in a long time.
Podcast Intro/Outro Voice
Wow.
Bruna Paban
Yeah, I really. We really love what we do.
Raghu Teres
Right On. What advice would you give to someone that's sort of like you 20 years ago or when you began this entrepreneurial journey? What advice would you give yourself watching this in the past?
Bruna Paban
Seek God first. Always seek God first.
You can't go wrong there, because he will guide you. He led me to every decision I made and every open door he led me. So that would definitely be, seek God first, and he will add all of your dreams into the right place.
Raghu Teres
Absolutely. Well, you just finished filming your episode for Women in Power with Anton the Great, as I like to call them. How was that experience like for you? Like retelling your story in front of Cameras.
Bruna Paban
Life changing.
Raghu Teres
Absolutely right.
Bruna Paban
Life changing is the best way I can describe it.
And thank you for that. Thank you guys for that.
That's opportunity has been life changing.
I've been able to see full time,
all the healing and the growth and the process in these past 17 years of business.
Raghu Teres
All right, I'm going to pull up some questions actually from, from, from your session as a sneak peek to your episode. It says here you've written that you're a woman in power because you help others rise. How would you define the concept of power in your own words? And what does it mean to you personally?
Bruna Paban
So to me personally, helping other people rise, it's not something I do, it's something I am.
Raghu Teres
Wow.
Bruna Paban
Does that make sense?
Raghu Teres
Absolutely.
Bruna Paban
I don't run business. I feel like God empower me to run business. It's not I. It's. He always first and second is always about people.
You know, when we talk about business,
a lot of people think money, money, money, money.
That's the first thing they see, right? Yes. They can sit here and talk about 15 houses I own and all this
and all that, but that's not enough, I don't think. I think people are the real thing. I think creating a business that can change a person's life, even if it is just cleaning, you know, or if you want to call it that, but even if it is just cleaning, I think that's, that's where is that. I think being able to do that is what I am. That's why I consider women in power, because I love to empower others. I think that would be the right
business model for me. Yeah.
Raghu Teres
So what's next for you? I. I see that. Well, let's rewind a bit. Since you are a woman in power, you work with your husband, your partner.
Bruna Paban
Yes, we are partners. Yeah. Yeah.
Raghu Teres
So what's that like? Any advice for anyone that's running businesses with her partner?
Bruna Paban
Create time for your relationship. Always create time for a relationship. Not all business partners are life partners. That is the second you can have a business partner not be life partners. You need a best friend. And if they are your best friend, it will work.
Raghu Teres
Right on. How can people find you, get a hold of you and use your services?
Bruna Paban
Yeah. Coastal Phoenix Team Powered by Innovate we're on Facebook. We're on Instagram. We're on YouTube. You can find us Super Cleaners, MV, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram as well. And we are in South Carolina.
We ran off South Carolina. Myrtle Beach.
Raghu Teres
Right on.
Bruna Paban
Yeah.
Raghu Teres
Wow. What a pavon. Of a story.
Bruna Paban
Thank you. Thank you.
Raghu Teres
Thank you so much for your time and energy. That was such a great, powerful story. That concludes yet another amazing Woman in Power podcast episode. For Inside Success, I am Ray Gutierrez.
