Michael, if I can convince you to do the self care, to be part of routine, I believe you're going to live longer. And that's my way to give back that helping people to be better version of themselves. Think more clearly, more healthy, be become a better wife, become better husband. Because the mood are better, there will be more smile, more calm, more kindness. You can offer this space for people in your own community that people can look good, feel good and be better version of themselves everywhere. And I already gone to with 20 years start my own business from nothing. Literally nothing. I mean nothing. It's nothing. I can tell you about that story if you want to hear.

Joining me today is a founder of something that everyone needs and it's only spelled with three letters. Spa. A spa. Ms. Gutierre, I have to stop because when you said your last name. It's my last name, Gutierrez. And your husband's last name is Gutierrez.
B
So Gutierre Gutierrez.
A
Sorry, what is your full name again, my love?
B
Nita Gutierre.
A
Nita Gutierre. Beautiful. Can you tell us who you are, what you do and why you're here?
B
I'm the founder of Sabai Thai Spa and CEO and I'm here today to share my story.
A
So you and I are about to film your episode. What are we going to learn about you today?
B
Oh, a lot. Hopefully we have full day together.
A
So let's talk about a full day together. But not with me, but just with you. What Happens at a full day spa with you at your, your establishment.
B
Let me bring you back. When I start my first business in Canada 20 years ago. I'm from the well net, already working spa for many years. Moved to Canada, you know, to build new life, find love, get married.
C
Sure.
B
Move to the city and want to start the business. Right. I went to work in different spa. But what I found out is missing. Missing the warmth, the culture, the journey, the experience. And I would like to bring the little piece of Thailand to the community where I work in Vancouver. I said I want to build a spa that offer the warmth that you feel like you're coming home. Like visit family and friend. The high hospitality, good quality service. And then the first step that you're coming in, I want to feel like a journey. I want to transport you to Thailand without getting on airplane. I think. Okay, first step, they just transport to Thailand. After that. Okay. We need to get five senses to take care of the site. The sound, the touch, the taste and the, the frequency. The smell. Yeah, yeah, the smell and everything. And I said okay. I have my own, we have custom music. I, you know, we build it up for ourselves. I want the music to, to bring them in somewhere else. That just as soon as you step in the music, it just bring you down. Sure. The calm, the flow with the, the music is followed with the heartbeat, the both flowing in and flowing out. And then there's with the Thai instrument in it because you try, you open the Thai spa, you have that and the smell of the Thai herb, the lemongrass that just hit right in your senses and then just bring you down. Even before you start the treatment, you already feel calm and lilac. That what I want. Right. And then the technical massage, I want the time because there's people who take time from work, from family, from kids, video games. Bring them to the spa. I want this time that they're in a spa feel worth it. I want to get the most benefit in their mind, body and spirit.
A
Yes.
B
And that's what I get. We get time is our technique. You know, we. The ancient technique that we use in Thailand over 2,500 years ago with some pressure point, some stretching, combined with long stroke massage that you feel so much relax, relief and harmony. Right after your treatment.
A
I'm sorry to interrupt. Why do you think so many people don't make the time to relax?
B
That's why I'm here today. I want to tell people, I want to tell the world that self care, it should be part of life, it should be part of blue tea. It's like car. You need ocean, you need car clean. You need to make your car to run longer. Our body exactly is the same. We need to take time to take care ourselves. Cell care should be weekly routine, two week monthly, not once a year. Yeah, and then what I. When it comes to North America, I just people. Some people said hustle culture. I get. I never get massage before. What? You haven't get massage before? No. You need to change the way you're thinking. You need to get massage more legally. And some people. Oh, I only go on my anniversary or birthday two times a year. No, no, no. You need to chant. You need to take care of yourself. If you. Can you imagine this? If you get a massage weekly, ongoing, the rest of your life, would you think you will live longer? Would you like to live longer? Yes.
A
Well, you told me before you got on the podcast that you're actually 300 years old.
B
Remember when you told me that 2,500 years ago in Thailand.
A
So you're 2,500 years old?
C
Yeah.
A
Oh, perfect. Then you look great for your age. Thank you.
B
Not me, but I'm closer to 50.
A
No, you don't have to say that, honey. That's why I meant 500 years old. So what is your why do you really just want people to relax and smell the roses?
B
What started this journey, my why 30 years ago, 3,000 years ago?
A
3,000 years.
B
My why start in 3,000 years ago. Okay. My why is I want to help people.
A
Wow.
B
I want to help people to take care of themselves. Michael, if I can convince you to do the self care to be part of routine, I believe you're going to live longer. And that's my way to give back that helping people to be better version of themselves. Think more clearly, more healthy, become a better wife, become better husband. Because the mood are better. There will be more smile, more calm, more kindness. And the kindness that from you. You have to be kind to yourself, take time to take care of yourself. When you be kind to yourself, take time for yourself, you feel better. When you feel better from your inside.
A
Oh yeah.
B
You will spread out to the person next to you and the person to you do the same. The world going to be become more beautiful world.
A
Absolutely.
B
And that's my why. I want to spread the Thai spike of walnut everywhere. And I want to help people to live longer, become better version of themselves. And that's my drive in that keep me going and just have so much fire in me. I just want to help people. Let me bring you Back in Thailand, you know, long time ago. Massage is just normal. You just go and hang out. Oh, let's go for massage. Let's go first spa treatment, let's go get nail done, hair done, body work done. Just normal. Right. It just become routine.
A
Even bath houses, very routine, very normal.
B
Yeah, it just, it's just nothing. Don't have to be special or luxurious. It just, just become normal. Even people have less earning, less income. They spell, they. No, they still spend, share the money. Like this is my budget for my self care.
A
Wow.
B
Because as we believe, what we believe in that is preventative and hospitality killing. That's the first thing we go to before we go to a doctor to get painkiller to get everything. That's a mentality that you know, been taught now so many generation let's. What can we do to take care ourselves first let's go to self care. Hostility, healing, anything until we could not do that. And then we go to the modern medical to go to pain to get painkiller. Right. You don't just oh, my body is ache and pain and go see Dr. Doctor. Oh here get painkiller. Oh, not working. Oh, double the dose and no, we don't do that. We get a massage. Okay. I might have to go two times a week instead. One times a week now. Right?
A
For sure, for sure. That's why there's good chiropractors and there's terrible chiropractors in a completely different part of the body and a part of relaxing and anointing. Anointing. It's funny. Anyways, let's go back and talk about how folks see well self care as a fufu thing in America. They don't have a budget to self care. They have a budget to get by and they always go straight for low hanging fruit. And I don't mean fruit lightly. I mean they eat cheeseburgers, they drink, they're polluting themselves by trying to mask and try to be somewhere else that they're not. You're quite the contrary. You're, you are about being present and healing and growing. Talk about that philosophy.
B
That is just how I grow up in the culture. Past, present and future. It just in our DNA. I guess in my DNA. Maybe not everyone but you know, we try to live the moment. Sure. Try to find the joy and happiness and contentment. That's why my company name sibai Sibai mean relax, comfort, contentment, happy. You just enjoy and that, that's my company name. And yeah the present, the past, it's already passed. You Cannot change it. You can learn from it. The moment is now. You take the moment to enjoy the moment, try to fight, celebrate the small win even the small little thing that your achievement. Small thing. You just be cheerful and happy and enjoy the moment. The future haven't come yet, but you can trap the future by your decision that you're making today and the action you're taking. And that will shape your future.
A
Absolutely. And how can folks find you? Do you have actually let me rewind a little bit. What can folks do at home to find a place of Zen? You have the kitchen, you've got the bathroom, you've got the bedroom and the living room. Folks who really have a room of Zen.
B
Correct? Yes. Is what I learned in here. People I like. There's a lot of good thing about North America here. People are ambition, they have a goal. You know, I want to do this, I want to achieve this. And I'm just like, expectation is so high, right? And then because of that we achieve a lot. That's why we have built rocket ships. You know, we advance and think that is amazing. But however, however, however, he forgot one thing. He forgot to take care ourselves, right? That's what we hear. And for me, what I want to bring is the best of both world. How about we still have ambition, we have this thing, but we just take time, one hour a week or two hour week to get a massage, self care, anything that to make ourselves feel better. I don't think it's a lot when you're thinking about it. You can do that, you know, instead just drinking a lot or do something. You can put that budget, okay, I put that budget toward, you know, massage, weekly massage. I don't think it's like, oh, I don't think I can afford it. No, I think everyone can afford it. If you put a money aside for it, if you think it's value enough, if you think this is going to help you, you have to invest in yourself better version of yourself. You should invest in yourself because you're going to think more clear, you're going to be more, more effective, you're going to be more productive. And then not just only that, you going to be contribute a better version of yourself to the community.
A
How do you share your vision? Are you on stage speaking to people? Are you communicating this via videos on the Internet or because you have an amazing presence and I would pay to come watch you talk.
B
Not yet.
D
Not yet.
A
Isn't that insane? How are you like your presence is so calming. Like people need to hear this because I believe you and I hear this all the time, but I don't believe them. But I believe you.
B
Thank you.
A
Yeah, so talk about that being a believable CEO that is working in such a taboo, weird, eccentric.
B
I. I lead everything with heart and I believe the power. Belief is just, you know, believe in yourself, believe in your version, believe in your vision. You can do anything if you have the belief and consistency. It's selkhe or anything to help to yourself. Even you here in the North America it's different than Thailand. You can take time. You can learn how to do meditation. Don't have to be an hour or two. You can start with 1 minute 30 seconds, okay. In the morning have time for yourself after you when you wake up, you know, just 30 seconds increase to one minute, two minutes and then even just five minutes a day. Just get your calm and just think about the day, okay. And then set your tone for the day and be gratitude and be thankful for each day that you are still alive. You know. And then after that, okay, I'm going to set my day today. I'm going to be happy and find joy every day. I'm going to do my best today I put 100% in toward the work to a husband, family or friend or you know, anything you just. Okay, I'm going to say something that nice and I'm going to treat everyone around me nice. I'm going to treat myself well. I'm going to be kind to myself. If I. If you don't set the tone out of the day, you just up even just spill the coffee. You know what I'm doing, just get mad at yourself. Just you just spill the coffee on your shirt. It's not a big deal. It's okay, right? It's just something simple.
A
I need to hear more of this. Especially living in Miami. I need to hear. It's going to be okay, Ray.
B
It's going to be okay. It's going to be fine. Just coffee and there's nothing.
A
What? How can find people find you a website, a YouTube channel? How can people find your. Your personal relaxed spa ministries?
B
Yeah, you can find me on website active on LinkedIn and my personality. If you want to reach out to me, I'm always available for people to reach out on our website. You know, sabai thai.com or sabaifanchi.com for the opportunity of franchising.
A
Beautiful. Oh, the opportunity of franchising.
B
Yes. Interest in that.
A
I was going to say what are we going to learn in your legacy makers episode Today we're about to literally go down the studio and film it. What are we going to learn? Give us a preview.
B
Yes. The reason why I'm here, I want to to share the self care but not just only that. I want to share the opportunity for other. I truly believe that every community need the ties by wellness something different, something that high premium quality that people can affordable for sure with the journey and the experience and the service that they get. That's why I decide to open up the franchise opportunity for others because I have done for 20 years. And then you know, of course we can talk detail and the journey they're going but fast forward for the franchising. I would like people to, you know, like learn more about us and just deep drive that you can offer this space for people in your own community that people can look good, feel good and be better version of themselves everywhere. And I already gone to with 20 years start my own business from nothing. Literally nothing. I mean nothing. It's nothing. I have less than $1,000 and then I just have the vision, I have the dream and I want open the Buy Thai spa. I wanted to have Thai concept into my local community. I start with that's it. I just told my husband I have this vision, I have this dream, I want to bring this theme to life, to people.
A
And here you are building it little by little magical.
B
I can tell you about that story if you want to hear it.
