No BS Marketing Podcast. I'm Daniel Murray and join me for unfiltered conversations with the brains behind Marketing's coolest companies. The one request I tell our guests stories or it didn't happen. Get ready to turn the welcome back to another episode of the Marketing Millennials. Today I'm solo and I wanted to give five content trends for 2025. So let's just get into it. Trend number one I think serialized content is the new blog. And let's be real. People just don't want just information. They want stories, serialized content. Think Netflix for marketing is taking over. We're talking about episodic podcasts, video series, TV shows, and even serialized newsletters. And the best part about this is it keeps your audience coming back. And consistency builds trust and trust builds revenue. So. So when you're thinking about this new year for your content, think about is your content binge worthy? If not, I think you should think about a new strategy for 2025. Trend number two and this has been a trend for a little bit for some people, but not for everybody, is the rise of edutainment. And here's the hard truth. Boring content does not convert in 2025. The brands that win will be the ones that master the art of edutainment. And that's education mixed with entertainment. It's the sweet spot of finding that mix. Think punchy TikToks, YouTube shorts, Instagram Reels that teach YouTube explainers, videos with personality, LinkedIn posts that actually make people laugh and learn at the same time. If you're not blending value with vibe or entertainment, you're going to become invisible or just blend in. Trend number three Community led content community is no longer just a buzzword, it's part of a business strategy. Now the best marketers I know are turning their super fans into co creators. Think discord groups, subreddit like hubs, exclusive slack channels where your audience drive conversation and these conversations lead to content ideas. The best content ideas come from your community, your audience. People want to feel part of something bigger. So think for 2025. How are you activating your raving fans to create with you, not just to consume the content you're creating. Trend number four hyper personalize AI's experiences. AI is not just a productivity tool anymore, it's your creative partner in 2025. We're talking about next level personalization. Imagine sending an email that changes based on how someone interacts with your site in real time or or launching ad campaigns that feel like they were designed specifically for you or having content change based on interest and first party data that you have so it feels like you're talking directly to that group of people. The brands that are embracing AI driven content will beat the ones who are just leveraging the spray and pray technique. And trend number five Micro niche influences are going to be in the spotlight. Macro influences. The people with millions of followers had their time. Now I think the future is going to belong to micro niche creators who speak directly to your audience's passions. And why do I think this? Because they have trust with their audience. These creators have built insanely loyal audiences that hang on to every word they have. Partnering with them not only gives you credibility, but also will unlock access into their engaged communities. The key is finding the right fit, not just the biggest names. Let me say that again. Find the right creator who is deep in that niche, not just the biggest names. So that's it. That's the five trends I have for 2025. Let me go down the list. 1. Seriousized content is the new blog 2. The rise of entertainment content 3. Community led content 4. Hyper personalized AI experiences and five micronese influences Take the spotlight. Thank you for listening and we'll be back soon.
