Have been agreed upon in the last few days of trades and the free agency market in the NFL. So there's no better time for a flash mock. And we are the home of the flash mock. And just 43 days, by the way, until the NFL draft. Men, you good? I'm good, man. Roll my favorite beat tuck. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery is what they say, right Steve?
Daniel Jeremiah
That's right.
Todd McShay
So it's cute to see all these, all these people calling it a flash mock nowadays. Dan Comer, not me, not you. Dan Comer came up with the idea December of 2024 or January of 2025 pre the 2025 NFL Draft, we were trying to come up with an idea. Portnoy is a good friend of mine. Everyone knows that. And he has the emergency pods, right? And so we talked about doing an emergency mock at that point and I said I I'm not into stealing other people's ideas. So let's come up with a different name. And we talked about a bunch of different names and Dan came up with flash mock. And all of a sudden now everyone is using phrase flash mock. Been doing this over 20 years. Never heard the phrase flash mock before. But this is the home of the flash mock. So it is our right with 43 days until the NFL draft, it is our right after billions of dot not hundreds of millions, billions of dollars have been agreed upon. Steve it's been a wild the b that's crazy, crazy, crazy seeing all these trades and it's still billions with a B. Despite the fact that Max Crosby is now headed back to this episode is

It's a w. A wild situation. And I saw there was some pretty quick reactions to. To the situation, saying that Eric Dasta, the Baltimore gm, maybe wasn't on the up and up about all this and maybe that he wanted. He got in cold feet and thought that. And now the. Yes. And now obviously the Ravens have signed Trey Hendrick Hendrickson since. Since the. The deal is falling apart. And the initial reaction was like, oh, that's interesting. I wonder, you know, is there. You know, there's some smoke there, but is there fire? And since then, like, I mean, Diana Rossini, the great Diana Racini is. Is sending out tweets about saying that that's. That's kind of the situation around the league. And when I see her tweeting about it, I'm like, oh, this. This is a real thing. Like, this is. You know, so, I mean, that's just wild. And then I think about. Imagine being a GM and you're going out and agreeing to all these deals because you think you have a cap number. You think this deal is done and it's not. So the Raiders are going on spending money like it's, you know, Christmas, and next thing you know, they. They've still got this contract in the books. And that's. I mean, there are. So there's such a large waterfall effect from this. And the other thing is, how is this not. And this is where it gets, I guess, a little shaky for the Ravens, I think, is how is this not already a done deal? Like, if this was. There was a potential of this falling apart. Don't you get him out there for the physical right away. Like, why did it take so long to get this rubber stamped? I don't understand any of it. This is.
Todd McShay
You're talking about billions of dollars in
Daniel Jeremiah
this whole free agency trade thing. Like, this is such a massive business and like, to. For that to just kind of happen is just bizarre to me.
Todd McShay
Yeah, there's so many different layers. Right. Onion to peel. Right. The Raiders. The raiders still have 70 million in cap. So, like, they can if.
Daniel Jeremiah
Even after all the agreed upon contracts.
Todd McShay
Yes, apparently.
Daniel Jeremiah
Oh, good. Good, good, good.
Todd McShay
So if the fallout is that Max Crosby winds up on the roster to start the 2026 season, they can still afford it. Max wants nothing to do with playing for the Raiders. He's made that perfectly clear. There's been a lot of reports coming out about Alex Guerrero and. And organizationally and. And the reasons why and the injury he had last year and all the different things.
Daniel Jeremiah
So.
Todd McShay
So that's that. But I also believe in talking to people in the league conversations last night and real quickly this morning, Max will wind up getting dealt. It's just at what price now? And so you've got sharks in the water. And we know, you know, whether it's Howie Roseman, Philadelphia or other GMs are looking at this like, I can get Max Crosby for a lot less than Baltimore had to give up to get Max Crosby. And so that part of it's there. It's also, you know, from a personal level, Max Crosby is, you know, six years of sobriety, has worked his ass off to get to where he is today. It's not a short term concern necessarily as much as it is a long term concern. And this is disappointing news for Max that if, if the doctors are correct, maybe this could affect him, his, his play level for the, you know, for several years, you know, in maybe years, three, four, five, something like that. So there's that factor to it from a transaction standpoint. You know, reports are coming out now that Eric Dasta and the Ravens were also talking to Trey Hendrickson even after bringing in Max Crosby. I don't know if I believe it. I, I don't have enough ground to, to state that that's not true. It feels a little PR ish. Right. And it feels like were they really going to, were they going to commit 70 million under the cap for two defensive linemen and they'd be worth it, but was that really the plan? So there's, there's just, there's a lot more questions than there are. There are answers right now, but at the end of the day, and, and, and to your point, and I said this last night, I was texting with some people in the league. When you're making this kind of commitment in today's society with private planes and doctors and resources, you know, beyond the imagination, greater resources than I think even fans recognize. Wouldn't you have already done this privately? You know, a medical exam privately, before you committed two first round draft picks? People say, well, you know, this is, this is standard. You, you make a deal and then it's, it's pending on, on the physical. No, I get that. And we've seen this happen before, just not with our, you know, arguably One of the five, 10 best players in the league for a. In a trade that included two first round draft picks. Yeah, so, so the standard doesn't necessarily apply when you're making a different trade for even a B plus level or an A minus level player in an ordinary Trade. It's a different standard for this kind of trade. So there's a lot to work out in terms of what actually happened and we'll start to get more information, but at the end of the day, what does it matter? I. I can't imagine a scenario in which the league is going to punish Eric DaCosta and the Ravens for how this transpired. Because legally it falls within the. You know, it's. Medical exams are subjective. Okay. And I don't want to spend a whole lot of time on this, but they're subjective and this would be an awfully hard thing to prove. I'll say this now, if you're the Raiders yesterday at the same time you're sitting there saying, man, we have upgraded our roster. Yes, we lost Max, but we've done all these things and we'll get to the Raiders in a second. As we go through, we're going to go through 14 picks in this flash mock draft. We've upgraded our roster significantly with moves that were made under the assumption that we also have four first round draft picks, three of which in, in this year and next year combined, three of which we can utilize to support the young quarterback that we're going to draft number one overall in Fernando Mendoza. And so picking it 14 this year. There was a lot of special speculation that it could be a Spencer Fano, a tackle in college, kick inside, or it could be a Venga Yoana from Penn State, the best offensive lineman, we both agree, in this entire draft class. And then next year you get two more picks to continue to develop, whether it's bolstering the, the offense with weapons or the defense to, you know, to help fill the void of, of Max Crosby's departure. Now it's a whole different animal now. You just have Fernando Mendoza and you just have the first round draft pick next year and you're stuck with Mac. Not stuck. You have Max Crosby who doesn't want to play for you and you're trying to deal him now at a reduced compensation rate. So it. The only lose true losers in this are Max himself and. Yep. And the Las Vegas Raiders.
Daniel Jeremiah
I don't know. I don't know. I, I hear you.
Todd McShay
That the league has no recourse, but
Daniel Jeremiah
it's one of those things. This is why I love the NHL, right. If they're the officials, don't take care of it. The players will police it themselves. And I wonder if there are GMs now around the league and I don't, I don't know this. I don't I'm not, I'm not saying I'm speculating, which I don't usually like to do, but I'll do it here. I wonder if there are people around the league, decision makers, GMs, who are now hesitant to do business with the Ravens. And if there's going to be a fallout there, I would think that they're, that that's a legitimate concern for them now, if they want to call and they want to, you know, like, you know, dacostas moved up, you know, famously to get Lamar Jackson at the end of the first round. If there's a player like that, there's a deal to be made in this draft. Maybe the team that they want to make that deal with is, is hesitant to do it. And not just because, you know, oh, there's no physicals involved in their marriage. I get it. They just, I think that some of these GMs might police it themselves and say, we're like, we don't like what happened there. It's got a bad taste in our mouth and we're not really willing to do business with them right now. It's going to be interesting to see if that if there's any. And we won't really ever know.
Commercial Announcer 2
Right?
Daniel Jeremiah
There's no real way of telling that, but it'll be interesting to me if that. If that's something that we get wind of at some point.
Todd McShay
Perfect way to transition to our flashback. The Raiders are picking at number one, so we'll get to that in one second. I do want to rip through the draft order that we're going to go through top 14. When we decided to do this, it was going to include the raiders with their second pick. That's why we were going to 14 picks. But now it's the Ravens and so we might as well do it. As you see there, the Raiders pick one, followed by the Jets, Cardinals, Titans, Giants rounding out the top five. Then you've got the Browns, Commanders, Saints, Chiefs and Bengals rounding out the top 10. After that, you've got the Dolphins sitting at 11. You've got the Cowboys sitting at 12. And then if we have time, we'll get to the the Rams with their they had that pick from the Atlanta Falcons. They've already obviously traded their their original first round pick. It was 29 overall for Trent McDuffie as they've bolstered their secondary. And then pick 14 will be the Baltimore Ravens. We did not expect that to be the case when we, we came up with this concept of doing the show today. I also want to do this real quickly. And it's only important because I want, as you follow along these top 14 picks, how many names that are at the top of my draft board right now wind up not going in the top five or the top seven or maybe not the top ten because of the positional value. And I also want to remind people of the conversations we had with GMs on our show. Six of them that we did at the combine and offline that I had. And I'm sure you talked to some other people. And the theme of this draft with every GM we talked to is you don't pass up on hall of Famers, you don't pass up on blues, AKA blue chip players for a position of need or a positional value. But I want you to see in this exercise and if it plays out like this on draft weekend, how GMs are talking through both sides of their mouths. Because at the end of the day, you don't want to spend that kind of money in a rookie deal on a guard, on a safety, on a running back, on an off the ball linebacker. But every GM we talk to across the board, take the best player.
Daniel Jeremiah
Right?
Todd McShay
Right. And maybe we'll be wrong, maybe they'll prove us wrong. But it was.
Daniel Jeremiah
But they are also.
Todd McShay
Go ahead.
Daniel Jeremiah
It's. It's the rationalization season. They're gonna talk themselves into the. Actually, this tackle's a lot better than everyone thinks he is. He's actually higher on the board, you know, because A, B and C. And they'll start talking themselves into the fact that these players actually should be higher on boards than he is. It's, it's a mental.
Todd McShay
There isn't a tackle or, or a true edge that's as good as. Here's my board. You ready? Jeremiah Love, number one player on my board, running back, Notre Dame, Sunny Styles. Off ball linebacker, Ohio State. Caleb down safety, Ohio State. Fernando Mendoza, quarterback, obviously Indiana. Then you get to some of the edges at that point and you could even argue. And there's. When you say offensive tackle, there isn't an offensive tackle that is as good as anyone in the top eight or nine picks or eight, eight or nine prospects. Because when you get to. To the edges at 5 and 6, Arvell Reese and David Bailey, Ohio State and Texas Tech, respectively. Venga Yane, the offense. The offensive guard from Penn State. Best offensive lineman in this class.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yep.
Todd McShay
Then you get to a wide receiver first. First wide receivers, Carnell Tate at number eight out of Ohio State as well. Then another Edge, Ruben Bane with the short arms, some wild. I mean you look at his arms, there hasn't been a double digit sack guy in the league in 20 years with arms shorter than 31 inches. There hasn't been a first round edge drafted with shorter than 31 inches in 20 years in the NFL as well. He's going to be the all time outlier then the first offensive tackle for me. And it would be debatable. You could put Mansour Delaine there at number 10 cornerback from LSU, but I've got Francis, Maui Noah and you might have Spencer Fano, some people might have Monroe Freeling, but you get down to like the 10 range before you start talking about the offensive tackle. So keep that in mind as we go through this and then the as we talked about. You have the list. Let's start with the Raiders.
Daniel Jeremiah
Okay.
Todd McShay
And Connor. Connor. Connor is our executive producer and has done an amazing job of keeping me between the rails and on track. Dan has done a tremendous job of a lot of things, but especially last minute last night building graphics for each one of these teams as you just saw there and throw it back up. Tucker. Here's the Raiders and what they've done. My goodness did they spend and my goodness did. It reminds me of the patriots in like 2001 when they went and got a bunch of really good players that are veteran guys. But these, this is better than that. You get the best center in the league or the highest paid at least in Tyler Lindenbaum, Quay Walker and Nakobe Dean at linebacker, Jalen Naylor at wide receiver, Devin White also at linebacker, Quitty Pay and Malcolm Kuntz at edge, Toron Johnson in a trade at cornerback. That's a lot of upgrades, man. Yeah, you know, that's a lot of upgrades. Go ahead.
Daniel Jeremiah
The Linder Bomb deal is the one that really stands out. I think for me. What's interesting about that is you have a vet and I love Mendoza's mental aptitude and all this. I think he's going to adjust quicker than most quarterbacks would. But Linderbaum just helping with protections and setting up block blocking schemes and assignments and all that is going to be huge for them. And I also feel like, and I don't have the analytics for this. This is just me watching Ashton Genti last year that they had a real hard time running between the tackles. I think that's a massive deal for them. That's, you know, like you're like oh, a center and they're. Maybe they're paying him too much. You know, you don't want to pay your interior off. I think that's a, a nice signing for them.
Todd McShay
I totally agree. And so as we do this mock draft, let's, let's rip through Las Vegas at number one. I think we all agree is Fernando Mendoza and I don't think we need to spend a lot more time on, on that pick. We get to number two, New York jets and then we've got the New York jets at 2. And I think it's important to look at what they've brought in highlighted. Let's just say Gino Smith, obviously quarterback. I want to remind you of the conversation. I try to get ahead of things without giving up sources and giving up information. But remember the conversation that I, I had with you about. I think the jets are a team that want to bring in a veteran quarterback to bring leadership and stability and there as they. You look at that list of players like from Joseph aside to make a Fitzpatrick, these are guys that all come in high character love ball. They kind of fit what what the jets are trying to do. The jets have five first round draft picks this year and next and additional in day two. They are loaded. I love the way that Moji the the new GM has, has kind of ripped it down before building it back up. Okay. And, and so when I talk to you about the Jets, I think you can very clearly, clearly remember me saying they need to bring in a quarterback that is going to help stabilize things, show the organization the right way to do things, win enough games so that this thing doesn't crash and completely burn and everyone's looking for jobs because it's a tough market and things can go go sideways quick but also not win too many games that they're in position to get Arch Manning or Dante Moore or whoever the number one quarterback is next year. I think Geno Smith fits that perfectly. So with that in mind, remember they lost. Yes, they bring in Joseph aside, but they lost Jermaine Johnson. Edge is still certainly a position that I think everyone's expecting that they could go here, here's what I did you look at what the jets brought in. I think it's tough because I know a lot. I think the jets are looking at this and saying, all right, who's the best player? Right? Who's the best player available to us at a position that is impactful? I, I don't think the pick necessarily is going to be Sunny Styles, but I think there's more, there might be more of a. Under Underswell or Groundswell for Sonny Styles. There than people might even believe. Right? And I say that because. Because I think he's one of the best three players in this draft. And I think that his. His rare traits that we saw at the combine and his improved play we saw in tape last year, and the fact that he can be an overhang, he can blitz, his pass rush pressures and sacks are almost equivalent in a. In a smaller sample size than that of. Than that of. Of Reese. Right, Arvell Reese. But are they not going to take an edge? Is that. That's the big question. And as we go through this process, it's more to me about the conversation of what the options are. I've always believed in the scenarios and discussing it because we talked to all these gms, right, Steve, that said they like, they believe in mock drafts and they utilize my mock draft and, and a lot of people's mock drafts. They put it into a system with their analytics department, and it helps them kind of get a sense for what the board's going to lay out. And even Dan Morgan, the GM of the Panthers, who, by the way, has had a hell of a week. I mean, you bring in the bet, like, you bring in. I think you're muted. You bring in. You bring in Devin Lloyd and Jalen Phillips. I mean, that's awesome. But. But Dan was saying he does like five or seven. I think he said like five or seven of them a day. As he gets closer. It's not about, hey, I had the most picks right in the first round for the GMs. It's about walking through the scenarios of what could happen, like sliding doors. Right? So I want to focus on that today. I think it comes down to three names. I think right now, if I had to put like a percentage on it, I would say greater than 50%, Arvell Reese, but not much higher than. Than that. I think he's viewed by the league as a cyborg. But I think, as I mentioned before, that teams like, you've got to have a plan for them and you got to be lockstep with your defensive coordinator, who also happens to be the head coach, and Aaron Glenn for the jets, if they want the best pure pass rusher right now and a guy who's not great versus the run, that's David Bailey. And if they want the best player, even though he's not an edge and it's not a premium position, it's sunny style. So that's the pecking order to me. Well, you go ahead.
Daniel Jeremiah
You think the best player is still Jeremiah Love, the running back from Notre Dame and I think you have Caleb Downshire, but they just traded and signed traded for a safety and, and Fitzpat make a Fitzpatrick and they signed Dane Belton. So I don't. And it's a one year deal but it's pretty good money. So I don't think they're taking the safety and they have Breeze hall on the franchise tag, which that's interesting to me because I don't think he's very happy with what's going on there. But that being said, you're right of if you're not going in those directions here, here are the three names and I'm with you wholeheartedly and I just think the edge goes to Reese, but it's probably not the same gap that it was before the combine or a month ago. Whatever you, whatever timeline you want to put on that.
Todd McShay
Yeah, I, I think truly it's the most two, the two most likely scenarios are Reese versus Bailey here. I just want to remind people like I don't, I think people are don't quite understand the level of leadership, commitment, focus, determination that Sunny Styles brings. And for an organization that is looking very much with these five picks outside of one being used on a quarterback and maybe it will require two and a package deal to move up next year. They're trying to build a foundation with the jets that, that has been missing. You know, I don't know.
Daniel Jeremiah
You know what's interesting though, I'll say this is they just traded Jermaine Johnson, who is a leaner. They, they traded Jermaine Johnson. They brought in to Vandre Swift Sweat, who's a bigger defensive tackle guy. Are they trying to get bigger up front? And if they are, Reese and neither Reese nor Bailey really fit that mold, which is interesting to me. They just traded a longer, leaner guy. Johnson's taller and a little bit leaner than those guys, but still they just traded. Not Reese actually, but they just traded a taller and leaner guy. Are they trying to get bigger and more physical up front? And if that's the case, then those guys don't really fit the mold. It's. This is what this draft is though. Like, it's. It's. There's no easy answers here. There's no other than Mendoza. There's no locks. It's. It's.
Todd McShay
Yeah. And I love it and it gives us a lot of time to finish up our evaluations in the next few weeks and it gives me and you all of April to, to have conversations
Daniel Jeremiah
and to kind of Argue.
Todd McShay
Yeah, yeah, and argue. But also discuss what we're. What were the conversations that we're having and I think in on this show that people will find in. In the newsletter, the McShay Report. Google it and subscribe please. The information is going to be better than you're getting anywhere else. And we. We stand on that. Arizona at 3. They need an offensive tackle. They bring in Ty Tyler Alier, which I love that pick. I think he's one of the most underrated running backs in the league. Kendrick, Bourne, Gardner, muu. Which is interesting at quarterback. Arizona's doing exactly what. What the jets are doing survive this next year. Unless it's Ty Simpson, they're the most likely team I believe in in the first round. And it would be trading back into to get Ty Simpson. But we'll see how that plays out as far as this pick goes. Offensive tackles a need. I can't stomach taking an offensive tackle over the players that are still on the board. I'm going to cross it off as we go because I want to make sure that we don't make any mistakes. Let's say first of all that Fernando Mendoza is the. Is the first pick. Right. Let's go with Arvel Reese at number two. If we're going to make this a true flash mock even though we're going to go through scenarios more importantly than just landing with one player. But if that's the case. I just talked to you about offensive tackle is you get to about 10 on your board before. So I can't, I can't pass up on a. On an edge like a David Bailey here for an offensive tackle, right?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah. I mean March bench wants to say get the offensive tackle here. They have. You have a bunch of right tackles. They have pair of shots at a left tackle. They need a right tackle. It's a right. It's a right tackle draft. And March Mitch wants to say to do it but April mention knows better. Like it's, it's. It's. The value's just not there. So like let's stop playing the game and, and as much as I like some of these guys on tape, I can't. I'm with you. I just can't bring myself to take one of them that early. Like you just can't do it. You know what I mean? So in a perfect world, this is where we're gonna play this game too. And this I feel like the guy who always calls into local sports. The. The sports hub is the local Boston sports station. We should just trade Back, let's trade back. And you know, in a perfect world that's what you're gonna do. But I again, who's moving up at this point? So I'm with you. It's not going to be the offensive tackle or I would be surprised if it's an offensive tackle.
Todd McShay
Just so everyone understands on air march bench is the best. Off air march bench is not a lot of fun to deal with. Okay, let's go. David Bailey here. I. I think it's going to be. I'm good with that right now. The percentages are it's going to be Bailey, Reese and either order it picks 2 and 3. But I still like but hang on to Sonny Styles for. For my sake if nothing else. So if we've got David Bailey there that now we. Now things get interesting. Tennessee brought in Wondale Robinson. Good receiver. Eligi A. Manor had a good rookie year. I don't view him as a number one last year or at any point. Yeah, I think honest to God, in a. In a perfect world, he's a really good, good big size number three, right?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yep.
Todd McShay
They still could use a wide receiver. Okay.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yep.
Todd McShay
Day ball's offense, right. You Bellinger they bring in from the Giants. Then a lot of their moves are on the defensive side. They traded for Jermaine Johnson. Johnson they get two cornerbacks in Alante Taylor and Cordell Flot. And then I think one of the sneaky moves was. Was the interior defensive lineman. Franklin, right?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
And so like with Salah there as head coach, I think that they've put themselves in a position through free agency and trade to. To kind of solidify that defensive side. I think this pick is on offense. I think this pick has to be a weapon for Cam Ward. I think Brian Dable is going to bang the table for an offensive weapon. I truly believe this pick is going to be either Jeremiah Love at running back or Carnell Tate at wide receiver. Now people are going to yell and scream and I get it that well, you know. You know, I made the comment yesterday that people like going crazy and I understand, like, yeah, it's a lot of money for a rookie running back when you're drafting him this high. And I understand the financial sense behind it, but it's still a younger back. You're getting him in the prime years and Jeremiah Love is proven on tape and has proven that the combine with his route running and his catching, he's a. He's a guy that's a weapon. And if you're going to draft a running Back as we've seen in the top 10, whether it's Saquon Barkley or a Bijan Robinson or, you know, or even last year, right? Ashton Genti, McCaffrey, McCaffrey. They've got to be able to, to be more than just a, hey, we're going to turn around, hand the ball off to you. Right? So.
Daniel Jeremiah
Right.
Todd McShay
And that. And that's what Jeremiah Love is. So this would come down to if it is between Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Love, and I read to you the positional values the other day. That's being determined not by like, what. What gms are picking or saying or. But what. Or by what we're witnessing, but by the top five annual. The top five annual salary numbers for position. For players at that position. It's quarterback one, it's edge two, and it's wide receiver three. And running back, I want to remind people, is second to last, just ahead of center.
Daniel Jeremiah
Your logic is sound and I, and I agree with it. I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a second here and say that they have about a million bodies at wide receiver. They have the two guys they drafted in the fourth round last year, Calvin Ridley still there. They brought in Robinson. I think they signed Van Jefferson. Like, they have a billion bodies there. And I think that Carnell Tate is a very good wide receiver prospect. I don't think he's an elite wide receiver prospect that I would really want to target in the top five picks. Whereas Jeremiah Love is a different kind of cat. Again, though, here's. I'm just going to tell you I'm playing devil's advocate because I look at that money the same way that you're looking at it and what you can do and where you can get, like what kind, what kind of a back you can get, making less of an investment. So I could go either way. I'll let you.
Commercial Announcer 3
I'll.
Daniel Jeremiah
I'll let you flip the coin and go whichever way you want to go. I'm just going to present. I wanted to present both sides of the argument.
Todd McShay
No, I, I think that's why we're. That's why we're doing this. It was interesting because it was like it was a done deal. March 2 or whatever it was. Like a week ago. It was. Jeremiah Love shows up at the combine. He runs a. 4, 3, 6, catches the ball, runs great routes, and his interviews were awesome. Then he goes from Indianapolis down to Nashville, Tennessee, and he has this meeting that felt a little early, but. And the skeptic in me Is always like, huh. It seemed very public about this meeting in early March between, you know, a team in need of a, of a playmaker. And they've got what, Tajie Spears. They've, they've got a run game that wasn't her.
Daniel Jeremiah
Tony Pollard.
Todd McShay
Yeah, Tony Pollard. But it seemed very public that, that all of a sudden Jeremiah Love is in Nashville. Are they trying to dredge up some interest for someone to come up and move to get Jeremiah Love? I'm going with Love here, man. He's the best player in this year's draft. He's the best player in this year's draft. And I know there's going to be pushback and all of that, and I'm not saying it's definitive and I don't have information yet, and I obviously have really good sources there. But right now, to me, you're building this organization. You got a quarterback going in his second year. You get a weapon like that, he's a, he's a much more complete Trayvon Henderson. And look what Henderson did in limited touches as a rookie for, for Drake May in that offense for the New England Patriots in his second year. Going to go with Jeremiah Love there. Okay, so now we get down to. To number five, the Giants. Tremaine Edmonds threw a little bit of a monkey wrench into this whole thing. Isaiah likely is a great signing man. Harbaugh brings in one of his guys, Greg Nome at cornerback. Harbaugh is. Is on the list as well of, of additions. The biggest addition, quite frankly to this organization that needs some stability. Tremaine Edmonds, though, was he 27 years old? I want to say 20, 27 or 29. Athletic, can run, can cover.
Daniel Jeremiah
He's.
Todd McShay
I mean, he's, he's an absolute, like impact starter. Day one for them and, and will be for the next few years.
Daniel Jeremiah
27. That's a great signing.
Todd McShay
Does that prevent them from taking Sunny Styles is the question. Here are the three names that I've got for the Giants in this order. For me, Sunny Styles. Still, everyone points to the Harbaugh look at, you know, from Ray Lewis to why am I forgetting some of the Roquan Smith. There's a couple in between. But did he ever have two elite linebackers at once? And I'm asking the question on air. I could have done the researches, research. I. Sonny Styles provides versatility and has a special skill set that's so different. And you think about what they've got up front with Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns and, and Thibodeau and obviously last year's number three overall pick, Abdul Carter. And Abdul Carter. And you put two. Those two linebackers behind, one of which is a former safety that can kind of do a lot of the COVID stuff, and Edmunds can do the. And the length that both of those guys have. And I do this with my arms because it's like, good luck throwing the intermediate middle of the field, you know, over and around those guys. And then there's. But then there's also Caleb Downs, right?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
And Caleb down. And you think about Harbaugh. Now, Hamilton was what, 6, 4, 218.
Daniel Jeremiah
He's a unicorn, though. Yeah. Yeah.
Todd McShay
I don't view. I don't view K. I view Caleb Downs as a special talent in that same exact, you know, mold, talent wise or league. But I don't. I don't see shades of, you know, they're different players.
Commercial Announcer 3
Right.
Todd McShay
And. And quite frankly, is Sunny Styles almost more Kyle Hamilton than. Than. Than Downs is in. In some ways. Do you know what I mean?
Daniel Jeremiah
It's a real rabbit hole all a sudden. Yeah, I get what you're saying.
Todd McShay
I'm just saying.
Daniel Jeremiah
I'm just saying Hamilton doesn't run like st. Yeah, it's different. I.
Todd McShay
And they also brought in the fullback, Ricard, from. From Baltimore, and everyone's talking about him, and, you know, like, look at eye formation with him. And I think it's cute in the eye formation. Him and SC. Power Eye and Tyrone Tracy. So, like. But I don't think you completely rule out Jeremiah Love, because again, he's. If. If he were on the board and he's not in this scenario, again, he's the best player in this draft. And scatter boost coming off of a major ankle dislocation. And his run style.
Daniel Jeremiah
Gross.
Todd McShay
And. And I don't know his run style. Like, can we. Can we just count on him being. Yep. He's. He's back and everything's fine. So those are the three names for me.
Daniel Jeremiah
Wait, what were the three? I got Styles.
Todd McShay
I got Love Styles, Downs and Love.
Daniel Jeremiah
Oh, Downs. Sorry, I. Yep. I just lost it for a second. Ah, man.
Todd McShay
And. And honestly, again, throwing a. You throw in a four, there's three Ohio State players. Carnell Tate has to be considered.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah, but he's gone, so Tate.
Todd McShay
So. No.
Daniel Jeremiah
Oh, Tate's not gone. That's right.
Todd McShay
You took love, so.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah, you would have to. I. Listen, I. Actually, Tate's an interesting name here. I would want to throw out if there was a stud defensive tackle that I still think they would Take it. Because they need to really improve their run defense now. You can maybe. Maybe that's. There's another way to skin the cat, and that's by getting that stud linebacker. I did not think of Styles here, to be honest with you, but because
Todd McShay
of admins, I know.
Daniel Jeremiah
I've fallen in love with your elevator pitch. Like, absolutely in love with it. The idea of those two, like, Terminators, like guys that just are different athletically and could run at that size. Yeah. Outside, I would sign up for that. I would like that. If I was a Giants fan, I'd be excited about that. That project, that. That experiment. And again, I don't love Caleb. I love Caleb Downs. I'm okay with it now. I'm going to turn into one of those gms, though. Whereas we're doing this with the safety and with shorter arms, and he's a little bit of an outlier in that sense. Like, I think you could talk yourself out of it and it. And I'll say this, too. I. I do like Carnell Tate. Ohio State fans think I hate Ohio State receivers. I don't. Just seems a little early for me on Carnell Tate. So if. If I. My vote, and you can go whatever way you want, my vote would be Styles here.
Todd McShay
What about Caleb Downs, though? You just.
Daniel Jeremiah
I know. I just said it. I just said it like, he's. He. You're in my mind about Caleb Downs. Shorter arms, doesn't have. Didn't run. We don't have a great 40 time on him yet. I don't think he's slow, by the way, but we don't have a great 40 time on him. I'm actually in a camp where I think he could do more than I. I've read a lot about. People think he needs to play near the box because that's where he's at his best. He could. He played high a lot in college. Played high a lot in college, and he could play over the slot. But if you're one of those people that believes that he's gonna have to play close to the line of scrimmage and he's got short arms, and he's not going to be that unique, you know, workout warrior and all that stuff.
Todd McShay
It's tough now.
Daniel Jeremiah
I mean, now.
Todd McShay
Now I'm in.
Daniel Jeremiah
Now I can't get myself. Now I can't get out of the paper bag. Thanks a lot, McShay. Because now I'm gonna. I'm flipping the other side of, like,
Todd McShay
Siobhan Holland didn't play great last Year Tyler Newman, former second round pick in 2024, didn't play great last year, but I don't think they're ready to kind of, you know, walk away from him. This is a tough one. He's gonna.
Daniel Jeremiah
He changes your locker room. I think Sunny Styles could do it too, but I think Downs is a different dude in terms of like, I mean, think about all the elite athletes at Ohio State and somehow he's. Caleb Downs is the guy. All these, like, just elite dudes, but Caleb Downs is the guy. Like, it's. I don't know. Take either one. I'd be happy. I would rather. I wish there was a stud defensive tackle here or maybe even a stud offensive tackle, but it's not the case. This is one of the few teams that, like, I know we all need Ed. Everyone can't have enough edges, but maybe this team is the one that could pass on an edge here. So take either one of those guys. They're both, both in, I think my top five overall rankings. So you're.
Todd McShay
What's interesting is, and I, I've kind of looked ahead a little bit. Whichever one, whichever Ohio State defensive star doesn't go here is probably falling all the way to 10, which is like $5 million in. In guaranteed money over the first five years.
Daniel Jeremiah
It's crazy. Who you going with?
Todd McShay
I'm going with Sonny Styles.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah, it's more fun. Do it. It's more fun.
Todd McShay
And if it.
Daniel Jeremiah
It could easily be Caleb Downs who's very, very that pick.
Todd McShay
But this is the.
Daniel Jeremiah
The idea of this is more fun to me.
Todd McShay

Todd McShay
Feels like we're. Yeah, yeah. All right. Sonny Styles there.
Daniel Jeremiah
All right.
Todd McShay
Now six, Cleveland, right. This one's interesting. The key additions include Zion Johnson, Titus Howard. In a trade, Tevin Jenkins resigned. Okay. And Elgin Jenkins as well. And then throw in the linebacker Quincy Williams. Very clearly Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns recognize. We've got to fix this offensive line. This is not about finding a quarterback this year. That can be 2027's problem. We've got to get our trenches better, especially on the offensive side. And then eventually we've got to get some more weapons for when we insert that quarterback. Or if, hey, if DeShawn Watson shocks the world or if. Or if. If Shador Sanders takes that next big step, then great. Then. Then that's a. That's a luxury for 2027. But we. We got to stop just plugging in quarterbacks, thinking we fixed all the problems if we don't have an offensive line in the right supporting cast. So I appreciate what. I really appreciate what they're doing. I do. And then I look at this now. You've got. Here's how I see it. You've got right tackle is Titus Howard. Right guard is Tevin Jenkins, center is Elgin Jenkins, left guard is Zion Johnson. And now the question becomes dejuan Johnson or Duan Jones. I started Dwan Jones or this pick at left tackle. What makes that tricky is. We've had this conversation. The only left tackle at the top of this year's tackle board is Monroe freeling, who has 18 starts and is the least equipped to come in and really like that. You feel great about, hey, plug and play. First day starter, left tackle. And if you're drafting someone at 6, he sure as hell better be plug and play first, you know,
Daniel Jeremiah
But I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Todd McShay
Why.
Daniel Jeremiah
Because this is what. Because you're building your built. You're. This is the year of the. This is one of these teams that's just like the Jets. This is one of those teams who don't lose too many games. Everyone gets fired, win enough, show some spark. Let's see what we're doing. Get a young nucleus. He bring in the young offensive tackle from Georgia, the kid who's got all the tools in the world. Baptism by fire this year. Learns, gets better. You know, kind of goes through what Will Campbell went through this year, the ups and downs. But maybe you Got you find your starting left tackle. And then when you take a tackle, when you take a quarterback next year, you feel good about having that young left tackle for at least another three years, ideally four years. And young quarterback for the. I mean, that's, That's a pre. If you have a. A starter, a starting left tackle and a starting quarterback in consecutive drafts. And I would do it that way. I'd get your tackle first and then your quarterback.
Todd McShay
Yeah. Because Maui Noah does you no good. I kind of like tackle. Maybe a guard. Spencer does, you know, good. He's. He's a. He's a right tackle who maybe could play left if he can hold up a tackle. But I think a lot of people in the league are viewing him as the guard or center.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yep.
Todd McShay
Yep. I think I, I think Freeling is the most likely pick. I do. I. I don't think we should rule out totally with all these additions that Carnell Tate could be.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
Could be the pick.
Daniel Jeremiah
Correct. Yeah. Tate is the other name that I have here.
Todd McShay
But I, I feel best about Spencer Freeling. Monroe Freeling, who I've got at 14 overall on my draft board right now going at number six. So let's, let's plug him in. I do think, just to clarify, if it's going to be a tackle, it just only makes sense for what you just outlined and what I started the conversation with, that it's Spencer for that. It's expensive. It's not Spencer. It's Monroe Freeling.
Daniel Jeremiah
Right.
Todd McShay
If it's not offensive tackle, I think this, this pick would likely be Carnell Tate. Okay.
Daniel Jeremiah
I agree. I actually think that this is one of the easier scenarios.
Todd McShay
Here's Washington at 7. They bring in Odafe away, the. The. The edge, Laramie Tunsil, left tackle, Amik Robertson at corner. Leo Chanel at at linebacker. Really like, I like the players they brought in. Right.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah. It's not a lot, but I like who they added.
Todd McShay
Me, too. To me, Carnell Tate makes all the sense in the world. You know, Terry McLaurin is aging. The Debo thing didn't really pan out the way, you know, so, like, I think wide receiver is absolutely a spot that they could go. And Carnell Tate is the guy. And this is about the range that you feel good about him.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yep.
Todd McShay
I do want to say this. There are two elements to this. I think this is a landing spot for Jeremiah Love. If he doesn't go four or five, more likely at four to Tennessee.
Daniel Jeremiah
Okay.
Todd McShay
And whether that's to Washington or a team trading up Got some. Get him. I think we're going to get news very soon that the Minnesota Vikings are going to bring in a veteran quarterback from Arizona. I think Kyler Murray is going to be their guy, and it's going to light a fire. They're hoping for J.J. mcCarthy. And most importantly, there's only a few guys in the league, A handful maybe, maybe on seven fingers you could count of guys where you're like, if he goes there, if a quarterback goes there, that's his. That's one of his best chances to take his game to another level, to finally stabilize whatever it is. And it seems like all these retread quarterbacks some point either go through KOC in Minnesota, they go through Shanahan in, in San Francisco, they go through McVeigh in. In Los Angeles. Right?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
I mean, whether it's, whether it's Baker Mayfield, whether it's Sam Darnold, like, they, they all have these stops. Yep. Okay. And Sam had two of those stops, San Francisco and Minnesota. So I like that for Kyler. Now you're picking at 18. If Jeremiah loves there, I want to remind people Washington does not have a second round pick. They pick at seven, and then I think their next pick right now is at 77. Okay. So keep an eye on Washington trying to move back to regain that. And Jeremiah Love would give them maybe their best shot. But I'm not saying the only shot to get out of that pick at seven. But if you stay here and Love is off the board, I, I think it's. I think it's Carnell Tate here.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yep. Let's roll. Yep. All right. Let's not. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, I, I'm, I'm with you.
Todd McShay
Jaden Daniels needs another weapon now. You gotta. Now you got a young, big time weapon. All right. New Orleans, they bring in ETN at running back. When we talked to Mickey Loomis back at Senior bowl, he said, we're not done that offensive line room. And he wasn't kidding. David Edwards comes in free agency. I kind of insinuated, like, he. They're not afraid to even draft another guy.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
So. So don't totally rule that out here. Although I just don't see, like, they're set at tackle. They just brought in Edwards. Like, I just, I think, I think they should be done. But Carnell Tate is off the board. Crystal La have trouble getting. Staying healthy. They. They dealt Rashid Shahid. They need a weapon. And I would have said it's Jeremiah Love before they brought in etn. It's obviously not going to be Jeremiah Love. Don't you feel like this is Mai Lemon?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah, I mean, I, I get it. I get the logic and it's, it's tough about who else could it be here and yeah, I get it. I just think it's early for the player, but I, but I understand. I mean, who's like, could they go an edge here? Are you going to go with Reuben Bane? Feels like that's a little early too now because he is an outlier. I don't know. I don't know.
Todd McShay
Yeah.
Daniel Jeremiah
Because again, I, I thought this would have Iowani Iwani Venga Ioane would have been a great pick, I think at the spot. But with them bringing in Edwards, I agree with you. I think their offensive line looks pretty set. Do you want to go with another undersized. I don't know. Not another. But you want to go with an unders, A smaller receiver? I guess not. Undersized is not the right word. But a smaller receiver. I don't, I don't know. This one's a tough one. I don't know what your latest board looks like, but after Bailey and if you're going to call a recent edge, there's a pretty, pretty big drop now between those two and everyone else. I would, I, I would lean edge here because, just because of the value. But I don't like, I don't. You know what? I'm just going to say this too. I'm gonna, I'm gonna get it out now. I think, I think we're sleeping on TJ Parker. Even still, I think Clemson edge, TJ Parker. I went back and watched all his pass rush.
Todd McShay
I, I, his tape in 2025 is, is, is better than people want to give him credit for.
Daniel Jeremiah
Well, I thought, I didn't think it was. I didn't think last year was that bad.
Todd McShay
I really said 2025 is better than people.
Daniel Jeremiah
I'm sorry.
Todd McShay
No.
Commercial Announcer 3
Yeah.
Daniel Jeremiah
No. 1.
Todd McShay
When I was here in 2024, I finished his evaluation. The edge rushers, the two guys that I was, three guys that I was really like surprised that how pleased I was was T.J. parker. It wasn't effort, effort driven. It was not for lack of improvement in pass rush array. But TJ Parker, Keldrick Falk, he's got so much in that T man, 20 years old. And Zion Young from Missouri are three guys that I think the league is a lot hot. And Gabe Akis too, I told you. But that's round two. Anyway, I hear you here, here are Their needs coming into free agencies. As far as I had written down, wide receiver, running back, edge, interior, offensive line. They could use that star, that nickel Alante Taylor leaves. I don't think you're using that. That a pick here on Mansour Delaine. Like, that's not what we're doing here. So, you know, you. You address with etn. The running back position. You address with the. With the guard. We just talked about Edwards, right. The. The left guard position. Now it's edge, wide receiver. So is it Bane opposite Chase Young, or is it a wide receiver for this. This rookie quarterback that you got to have a play caller. You got to have protection. They. They took care of that. They've got their play caller. And now you've. You need. You need pass catchers. You know, if we're going by my
Daniel Jeremiah
board, and I'm going to be honest, playmakers is the.
Todd McShay
The p. That everyone uses.
Daniel Jeremiah
If I'm sticking to my board, it's Lemon. Lemon's the pick.
Todd McShay
Yeah. I'm giving him Lemon, too.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
All right, so Makai lemon goes there. 12th player on my board goes number eight. It's not. It's completely reasonable. Still available. And as we get to pick nine, Caleb Downs, as I mentioned, if it doesn't. If doesn't go five, it's probably going to be 10. Venga Yane, Penn State offensive guard. Who I've got is one of the top seven players. And if you're being really honest with yourself and you remove that guard position, he might be one of the best four or five players in this draft.
Daniel Jeremiah
I got him five. Yeah.
Todd McShay
Reuben Bane and fr. And Francis MAU Noa, both from Miami. Edge and offensive tackle. And Mansoor Delane, cornerback, followed by Kenyon Siddiq, tight end. So now we're down to pick nine, the Kansas City Chiefs. I honestly think I. I think that they're in a. A reset mode. They brought in Kenneth Walker. They brought in Gilman at safety. They brought in Tonga from the Patriots. Very nice signing. I think for the Chiefs, this comes down to two players, and they're both from Miami. I think it's Maui. No way. At offensive tackle or Bain at edge. And quite frankly, you've got a. You've got your star quarterback coming off of an injury, and it's very clearly a priority to reset this organization and to run the football and to balance things out. You don't bring in Kenneth Walker if you're not trying to balance this thing out. I think this pick is Maui Noah, right tackle.
Daniel Jeremiah
Done. Done. I Run that name up. Yep.
Todd McShay
Pick 10, Cincinnati. If. If Sonny Styles was still here, I think he's a Bengal. I think this comes down to bane as we just got news earlier today that Trey Hendrickson is officially becoming a Baltimore Raven. Raven. Assuming he passes his physical. I think. I think it's Bain or Downs for Cincinnati, and I. I just think the player is too good. I think it's got to be Caleb Downs. Yeah.
Daniel Jeremiah
I like that. I do. I like that. That. Yeah. You know what? I. I like that for a number of reasons. I like that they. I feel like they need a whole identity shift on defense and he's the kind of guy who could do it.
Todd McShay
Yeah. I mean, it sucks because you, you know, Joseph Aside's gone and Hendrickson's gone, and you got Shamar Stewart as your first round pick last year. You'd love to pair him up with a Reuben Bain. I'm not saying it's a lock. I'm just saying I would boy mafe
Daniel Jeremiah
who I like, but I'm not sure he's. I'm not sure he's the guy.
Todd McShay
But they're counting on you given the money they paid him, so.
Daniel Jeremiah
I know.
Todd McShay
All right, so that's that. Caleb Downs comes in at safety. Now you're down to pick 11. Miami, they lost Phillips from last year's trade. They're about to lose Nick Chub June 1st, is my understanding. They lost Tyreek Hill at wide receiver. This is a team that needs edge help. This is a team that needs wide receiver help. They need help at corner, at linebacker, at safety. They lost Minka. They also need. Why don't they need help? Honest to God, it's. It's kind of scary, man. Yeah. And John. John Eric Sullivan inherited kind of a mess. I believe in what he's going to do. I believe in him.
Daniel Jeremiah
And.
Todd McShay
And you know what? I. What I think of Jeff Halfley, I. You know, so here's my thing with Miami.
Daniel Jeremiah
It.
Todd McShay
It's a weird spot in that you kind of sit there at 11 and one of these guys is gonna fall to you, man. Sonny Styles could fall out of the sky to you. Caleb Downs. We. We just talked about it. Caleb down. Like, what if Reuben Bain goes 10 to Cincinnati?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Todd McShay
And either Sonny Styles or Downs goes at number five. You could be staring at one of the top three or four best players in this entire draft at 11. So you kind of sit back if you're John Eric Sullivan and is the gm and you say one of these guys is going to fall to me and if it's not one of those guys, I got Ruben Bane there. And if it's not one of those guys, I get the best cornerback in this class in Monsoon Delane. So despite a really shitty roster spot, they're going to have a really good player fall to them. That's absolutely worth the value at number 11. I think in this scenario it comes down to B or Monsieur Delaine.
Daniel Jeremiah
I kind of like. You want a year. I think he's worth it, man.
Todd McShay
I was going to give him the Baltimore at 14.
Daniel Jeremiah
I think he's gonna. I think he's gonna go earlier, man. I think he's just too good.
Todd McShay
Fine, let's give him. You want it?
Daniel Jeremiah
The logic's there for all the picks, though, man. This is one of those ones you could. You can. You know, I'm just saying, like, I think he's a top five player. You're getting him at 11. You got. You know, you got Malik Willis coming in. You're not gonna. I don't know. I. I would talk myself into that pretty quickly.
Todd McShay
All right, let's go. You want to. I'm cool with that. And then. But again, I think just sits there and someone falls. Dallas.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yes.
Todd McShay
It's called. It's corner. They added. They added Gary Rashawn. Gary from. From the packers in that trade. Sam Williams resigns at edge. They brought in a safety, PJ Lock to as. As the secondary. The Jalen Thompson gives them their. Their starter Agbana Interior defensive line. I mean, they. They have needs. And all five of those guys are defensive side. They're not done on the defensive side. This is going to be a defensive player. But notice none of those guys were cornerbacks. They're going to sit at 11. And if they don't get the number one cornerback, they'll get the number two. And maybe the number two that they get is the number one on their board. It comes down to Monsieur Delane and Jamal McCoy. And I think Delane is clearly the number one corner in this class. So let's give them Mensour Delaine done. It's kind of set up. And honestly give a giveaway. Give the Joneses a little credit for knowing this board. Like, we will get our cornerback at 12, right? Yeah, we'll get our corner back at 12. Let's. Let's build around that. And they've done that. Then we get to 13. The Rams. I want to remind you, obviously, the McDuffie trade, the Jalen Watson signing. We got a long snapper in that. I love that Joe Cardona Cardona. Nice job, Dan. What a dig. But. But this is a team that has no starting needs. Really. It's a, It's a beautiful place to be in. With the 14th pick, they'll desperately try to trade out, but. But maybe they won't. Actually. This is all I told you. Sean McVay may not be here any longer than. Than Matthew Stafford. Matthew Stafford may only be there for another year. We'll see how it all plays out. It could be two years. They need a weapon. They need another weapon. They've got a 35 year old Devonte Adams. They got Puka Nukua and Cooper cup is long at the end.
Daniel Jeremiah
Well, Cooper Cup's in Seattle. He was in Seattle last year. No, I'm sorry.
Todd McShay
Yeah. What am I talking about?
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah, no, there's a lot of moving pieces, but yeah, I got you.
Todd McShay
No, but that was the last. I was actually going through this scenario with with JSN and Cooper. They. They needed a receiver as well. Anyway, I think this is a playmaker. I think, I think if Carnell Tate were to fall there, they would draft him. I think Makai Lemon fits absolutely what they're looking for. And thickly built physical run after catch, contested get all that stuff. But I think Kenyon Sadiq is exactly what the doctor ordered. A what?
Daniel Jeremiah
I love it. I think they have a billion tight ends and someone made a joke about this on X and I wish I remembered who it was. I can give them credit, but they're like, McVeigh is going to draft Sadiq and run 14 personnel. That's all he's going to do. Even though, like you have Puka, you're not going to do that. But McVeigh loves tight ends and I love their tight ends now. I mean, they have a bunch of guys you look at and you're like, oh, that's, you know,
Todd McShay
essentially a slot receiver.
Daniel Jeremiah
I mean, well, they drafted Terrence Ferguson in the second round last year. Man, they took. And we love Terence Ferguson out of Oregon. Love him.
Todd McShay
Yeah. For what he was. For what he is.
Commercial Announcer 2
Right.
Daniel Jeremiah
I got. I listen, I, I am for the pick. I like the pick. I think Jordan Tyson's probably another name you might want to consider here.
Todd McShay
I'll tell you a name, I tell you a name that actually to consider. And ideally it would be trading back a little bit, but you can't assume that with anyone. Omar Cooper Jr. Reeks of Sean McVay.
Daniel Jeremiah
Oh. Oh, I love that fit. Love that fit. Yes.
Todd McShay
So if it's not Kenyon Sadiq who we're going to write in here, I think it's very important to mention there is a wide receiver that just stinks of Sean McVay in that Shanahan version. His. His version of the Shanahan offense. Yep. And I've got Omar Cooper Jr right now at 20, So. So it would not be like this. This massive reach. All right, so now the top two players still on the board as we get to pick 14. The last one in this exercise are Reuben Bain Jr. And Francis Maui Noah. So we're there.
Daniel Jeremiah
We're through.
Todd McShay
Thirteen picks in.
Daniel Jeremiah
Two offensive linemen are off the board, I believe, and only one of them is an offensive tackle. Yep, that's where we're at. But.
Todd McShay
But at this point, my friend, they're going to absolutely fly off the board. From Noah to Fano to Blake Miller to Caleb Lomu to Kaden Proctor to Max Ianature. Yeah, they're. They're gonna fly off the.
Daniel Jeremiah
Here comes the.
Todd McShay
All those guys go in the first round. I think this pick for Baltimore, I think they honestly could consider Reuben Bane, but I think it's probably. Go ahead.
Daniel Jeremiah
Even after getting Hendrickson?
Todd McShay
Yes. Okay. I'm just saying. I'm not. I'm not ruling it out.
Daniel Jeremiah
He feels kind of like a Raven, too, huh? Like that gritty.
Todd McShay
Yeah.
Daniel Jeremiah
I. I think it comes down.
Todd McShay
I think this could be Maui Noah or. Or Fano. I think it could be Fo.
Daniel Jeremiah
And you're thinking he's going to play guard or center? Right.
Todd McShay
Center. Center, maybe.
Daniel Jeremiah
Can he snap? Like. Okay. I love the idea of him playing center. If he can do it. I mean, if he can.
Todd McShay
Yeah.
Daniel Jeremiah
I. I think he has, like, almost limitless potential at center, but he's got, like. It's not that easy of a transition. I like the pick, though. I do. I think it's a good value there.
Todd McShay
It's a good spot because now you've got Hendrickson and you've got your 14th overall pick and you've got next year's first round pick. And if you go offensive line here, great. If you don't, maybe you get an interior guy a little bit later. And you take Reuben Bain, who kind of fits what the Ravens have had for years and years and years. Guys who are a little bit like shorter, stouter, little bit like Terrell Suggs, hall of Fame player. I remember coming out now, his arms were 32 inches and mount, and Baines is 30 and a quarter different. But remember, he ran like a 4, 8, 6 or something, and he. He just didn't play Arizona City can't
Daniel Jeremiah
gonna make it in the NFL hall of Famer.
Todd McShay
So, so. And the Ravens always sit back and someone falls to him. And so it's either going to be you draft an interior offensive lineman who's a, who's an absolute star or you draft Bane who's a quote unquote outlier and winds up playing 12 years and has an awesome career. So.
Daniel Jeremiah
Right. This is what I talked about. This has been, this has been the development here is that this is the, the, like really the best spots to pick are starting in, in the middle of the first round into like the middle of the second round. You're going to get all these really good players that you don't want to put at the top of the draft. But there's a lot of good players in this group.
Todd McShay
And, and this is also. Yes. And to your point, if this exercise is anywhere close to correct, two of these three players when we get to pick 15 could still be on the board in Reuben Bain, Francis, Maui Noah, Spencer Fano. Two of those three could still be on the board. And this is the middle of this first round is wild. Daniel Jones, by the way, and I know this, this show, we're taping it at 11:39 Eastern Time AM. Daniel Jones just signed a two year deal with the Colts. So they got, they got Alex Pierce, Alec Pierce and at wide receiver and they got Daniel Jones done. I just remember sitting there with Chris Ballard, the GM in, in his hometown in Indianapolis and seeing like how important those two things were to him when we talked to him and it's good to see that that gets done. Right.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah, I like the length of it. I like the two years.
Todd McShay
Yeah, I do too for a lot of reason. All right, awesome show. I mean this is, this is fun. And I honestly even, yeah, you can look at the picks and that's our flash mock and it's great to walk through the top 14 picks but to me it's more about the exercise of what are going to be the options, what are the decisions each team is going to have to make, the general managers, the decision making group, that tiny little group inside each organization. When you're looking at this board and they're running through this exercise, not right now, but starting in April, especially as you get to those last two weeks, they're doing this every, Dan Morgan said five, seven times a day to prepare. It's like, it's like game prep, watching tape, going through practice, the steps. And so these are the types of things they're doing. It's not just about putting out a mock and trying to get the most picks right and did I put the right player with the right team and the right pick? It's about the process of it right? And that this process is what teams are going to be looking at as we get closer. And hopefully you as in our audience watching this, you have a greater understanding of what the top of the board looks like now that we're a few days into this free agency frenzy. So mensch to you. I give 5 stars brother.
Daniel Jeremiah
Thanks man.
