Let's do this thing together. Think about it. Rob Gronkowski, Terrell Owens, Drew Brees, Joe Montana, Derrick Henry, the King, all drafted in the second and third round. We're going to build a roster together tonight and I'm fired up about it. We've got to get to the Shador Sanders situation. Still on the board in round two. Could he be on the board in round three? We'll go back and Browns fans, I'm apologizing off the top. Things got hectic last night. We didn't give you enough love. You're going to get your due tonight. And finally we've got Best Available and put together a little mock draft for the first 10 picks of the second round. In tonight's draft, it's just me, me and you. Let's do it. Tucker. Play me that beat. All right, we've got a lot to cover tonight. I'll start off the top. My good friend Steve Mensch. Not with us. Nothing's wrong. Don't get worried. Mensch. Mafia. Yeah, I read the comments. I know what's going on. I know how much you love Mention. I think it's wonderful. File your complaints. I don't care. We. We. He's got other business to do. He's got other responsibilities. It's understandable. We all got to work. So he's not going to be Here now, but stick with us tonight. We're going to do 30 minutes leading up to the draft. The commissioner is going to come out. It's going to be round two, kicking things off. Then when, when we start the draft, I'll be here. I haven't decided how long we're going to go. Maybe it'll be because of my voice. Maybe it'll be I need a restroom break. Maybe it'll just be a perfect lull in the draft and it's time to go sit back in the, in the amphitheater over here in the Spotify Ringer Studios and watch the rest of the night, too. But then with five picks remaining, listen to me here. Five picks remaining in round three, right back in here. Live stream, second live stream. Tonight, we're going to review everything we saw from rounds two and round three, okay? And then, men, when he's done with his responsibilities, will come join me. We'll move my chair over, we'll put his seat right here and we'll have some fun. So let's buckle up. We got a long night. I mentioned off the top, there's a lot of players still available. Okay. And this is the heart of the draft and I'm excited to see it. Let me read you this quote. I was on a call with someone from the personnel department today and everyone, people get excited. You know, you wake up Friday morning, you're looking at your boards, you're trying to figure out who's going to move around, who's going to be available when we pick the. This is the quote that I got. This isn't normal. Waking up on a Friday morning of the draft and seeing the caliber of players still on our board. And that like every call I had today, it was something similar. And yes, some of it's due to some players dropping medically, some of it due to character issues. But also, this is the heart of the draft. And I said that off the top because truly, like, we knew there weren't this. It wasn't the star power. There were eight offensive linemen drafted, a couple guards drafted last night, some players that we didn't expect, maybe not a lot, but a couple were taken because they were straight down the middle. They were doubles. High character guys maybe weren't necessarily in other drafts considered first round talents. But let's take this guy because we know exactly what we're getting and this is a starter's draft, okay? So with that in mind, you wake up this morning on Friday and you're an NFL team and you're like holy smokes. There's a lot of talent still here. Maybe we need to move up in the, you know, in the draft. I'm looking at Cleveland at 33, Houston 34, Tennessee 35, Cleveland again, 36. After making that move down from two to five to, to make the draft pick that they made in Mason Graham, interior defensive lineman for Michigan. So with all that said, let's take a look. First of all, at best available, these are the guys that are still on the board when that, when that assistant general manager I talked to said, you don't see this caliber player still on our board. We're not used to this on a Friday. These are some of the names we're talking about. Okay. Will Johnson, there's a knee injury there. Concern about some long term stuff. But Will Johnson was absolutely considered one of the 20 best football players in this draft. Mike Green, he came out of the combine. He flat out said it. I've been accused twice of sexual assault, hit it head on and understandably, never, never charges against him. But understandably, teams are weary in a year where there's a lot of safe picks. Let's just, let's hit it right down the middle, you know, let's go 250 yards down the middle and let's not try to rip it for 300. So Mike Green still on the board, edge rusher, second most, second biggest position, premium if you will, outside of quarterback in the NFL. Then there's the guy, Shador Sanders. We're going to get to him in a minute. Trust me. I know everyone's talking about it. I warned you. I don't know why this is as big of a surprise, but we'll get into that in a little bit. Mason Taylor, tight end from, from lsu. Couple tight ends. Elijah Arroyo is another one going to come off the board and I would guess in the top 15 to 20 picks, some really good running backs. That's going to be a theme from rounds two all the way through seven. Trayvon Henderson is at the top of that list. Okay. Jalen Noel, one of my favorite players in the draft. Iowa State, slot receiver, explosive, ran in the four threes. JT Tui Molalao from Ohio State, really good, consistent, productive defensive end from Ohio State. Luther Burden, A lot of people calling him a shades of, if you will, NFL comp being Debo Samuel coming out of Missouri. Some character issues. The reason why he's sitting there on the board right now. Nicki Minwari, safety. Remember the combine, that workout was, was legendary. 220 pounds set the broad jump record at the combine by 4 inches. No player had ever had his vertical jump. I think it was 43 inches over 200 pounds in combine history. He did it at 220. He's still on the board because there's some inconsistency on the tape. Focus issues. Quite a, quite a character personality stuff, but he's supremely talented. Donovan Ezraku, not the biggest guy. That's why he's still here. But long arms, highly productive. 1.38 sacks per game. Best in the FBS last year. These guys are all still on the board. I don't have. We. I don't know if we have the next 20 as well but, but when you get here's what teams were asking about the these names, I'm going to go through a few of them. Okay, here's kind of what, what teams think. Early on it's going to be Will Johnson. At some point a team's going to say, okay, you know, the character's there, but the player's too good. With Mike Green and Eamon Worre will be one of the, one of the handful of guys that come off the board early. Darius Alexander from Toledo, defensive tackle. Expect to hear his name relatively early in this process. Okay, then what teams are seeing is, man, there were a lot of offensive linemen came off the board. There's only two offensive tackles left. Okay, two offensive tackles left that teams view as potential starters. They're not going to last long. Those names are Ariante Ursary and Ozzy Tropillo. Ursary from Minnesota, Tropillo from bc. So expect those offensive tackles to come off the board because after that it's over there. You see my list 11 through 20, some of the names I just mentioned, Alexander's on there, Ursari's on there. You know who else is on there? Tyler Schuck. I love Tyler Schuck. Man, I can't wait for him to prove people wrong in the NFL. Seven years in college football, three season ending injuries. He's got a maturity about him that, that you rarely see out of quarterbacks coming out in the draft. Thought his career was pulled away from him. He's been through everything that you can possibly imagine and yet he's still here. And he's the biggest of the top quarterbacks in this class. His arm strength's up there with Cam Ward, fastest of these guys on a straight line. So why is he still here? Well, the three injuries, the, the age 25 turning 26 is a rookie. I think that age And I think those injuries have allowed him to become the young man that he is right now and be ready to be dropped into a quarterback room and contribute even as a backup. But mentally and maturity wise, contribute. And maybe in a year we're talking about Tyler Schuck earning a starting job. Trey Harris and Trey Amos, two Ole Miss players. Harris, wide receiver, big west coast ex wide receiver, great after the catch. Amos kind of discarded by Alabama, right? Bounced around a couple schools, then gets to Ole Miss, has a breakout year this past year. Questions about his speed runs in the four fours. Everyone's like, all right, maybe we got a cornerback here. Savone Revel, the other cornerback on that list at number 14 you see out of ECU. He is tall. Think, think. Reek Wallen, right, fifth round pick for, for, for, for Seattle a couple years back, revels that kind of guy. Long physical press, corner tape's actually better than what reeks was coming out of UTSA. So there's a lot of really. And Benjamin Morrison, first round tape in 2023. I absolutely love the guy. Really good zone cover coverage, cornerback. Hip injuries, though. Two hip injuries. And the medical is not great on Morrison. So he may fall a little bit tonight. But I'm telling you, at some point he's going to get an opportunity. He's going to come off the board to a team that's probably his own heavy scheme. And Morrison, if he's able to stay healthy, has a chance to be a really good starter in the league. So it's pass rushers and offensive line. As I talked about that second shelf, and when that second shelf is done with, with Tropilo and nursery, it falls off greatly. Those are the conversations I'm looking at my notes from conversations I had this morning. Okay, here's the other thing that was mentioned. And excuse me because I'm on my own today. We talked for five hours yesterday. I may have to take a sip or a pause every once in a while, but we're here, we're here all night. Let's do it. The other thing that was mentioned in these conversations I was having is, remember back just to 2022, Kenny Pickett that year, okay, Kenny Pickett was the only, only quarterback drafted in the first round, 21 overall. He went that year to, to Pittsburgh. And when he did, there were other guys in that class that we were talking about. Maybe they go late first and if they don't go late first, they're going to go second. Desmond Ritter being one of them. Remember, Desmond's now Bounced around a bunch of different places, got some playing time after being drafted by Atlanta. Malik Willis, his second stop, started at Tennessee, did not go well. Got to Green Bay though, got an opportunity, did pretty well as a pinch hitter, if you will. So when we look at this board now and we look at these quarterbacks starting with Shador Sanders, everyone wants to talk about, and I understand Tyler Schuck, who I just talked about, kind of his background and who he is as a player, and Jalen Milroe. The conversation that was brought up to me was I'm not saying it's going to happen, but maybe this plays out a little bit like 20, 22 where those guys, Ritter, Malik, Willis, they went in the third round and some of those guys we thought were going to be in the third round fell to the fifth round. Matt Corral, I think it was okay. So it's something to think, to consider. And so when I sat down last night and Dan Comer, who's been grinding, man, I don't know, the Dan, trustee, producer, editor, he's, he's done it all. I don't know that he's gotten 12 hours sleep in five nights since I landed in LA on Sunday. Okay, so we're, we're on the phone last night. Go grab a quick bite. Mention Marissa always. It's got to be a sit down meal. Sure. They're laughing at me right now. Get done, come back to the hotel, we're talking. Where's the mock top 10? I promise a mock top 10 for the top 10 picks today, starting with Cleveland at 33. So I put it together and we'll pull it up. Let's share it with everybody. It was in the newsletter today, by the way. Hey, it's not days, it's hours. Sprint to the podium. Go Google it. The McShay report. If you're not subscribed yet, I know it's late and we're already past the first round, but you, you're going to get a breakdown of all 32 teams, a deep dive breakdown of all 32 teams. We're going to get a Q and A involved probably next week. Also coming up very soon, the way too early mock draft, not my favorite thing in the world to write. I'll tear it up and I'm going to re rack it later in the summer and write a second mock draft after. I've watched a lot of tape on these guys. But let's just get the board out there, let people know some of the names. But if you want to be involved it's $1, so Google it. Subscribe. It's the McShay Report. $1. It's called Sprint to the Podium. I call it Sprint Past the Podium because you get it till May 31 and includes all those things I just mentioned there. Here's the mock draft, if you're watching on YouTube. I appreciate you being here. It's just you and me now. I got no mensch yelling at me, laughing at my bad jokes. It's just you and I. So we're gonna do the best we can tonight, and I'm excited about it. But here's where I went. Mason Taylor, I know tight end isn't exactly the biggest need for Cleveland when you go through their needs, but Mason Taylor, the tight end from lsu, it says Miami there, no problem. The. There's Elijah Arroyos, the other tight end, he's from Miami. But Mason Taylor would make sense to me as a big weapon. Okay. And someone a really good pass catcher, I think, actually could be a better intermediate down the field weapon in the NFL than the way he was used at lsu, then Houston. I want Travion Henderson. I think we're going to see two backs go in the second round, maybe three. But I think it's going to start with Trayvon Henderson, who I know some teams were considering late in the first, so I don't expect him to be on the board long. Then I went for Tennessee. We know they need a weapon. They just got their trigger man, right. Cam Ward's there. Now let's bring in the Debo Samuel from this class. Let's bring in Luther Burden. He's paid his price for some of the character stuff. Now, at 35, this is. This is a good value pick. Nick Scorton's a guy that I'm not as high on, but I know Cleveland brought him in as one of the top 30 visits. And Browns fans may be asking, or maybe they're wise to the whole game. May be asking. Well, Todd, why not quarterback? We'll get to. We'll get to that in a little bit. But the move that was made yesterday indicates to me we're looking at 20, 26 for quarterback. But I'll dive in a little bit more in a second. Here's where it's interesting, and I do want to say, for Cleveland, if it were to be quarterback, which would go against my. My train of thought, I believe, based off of intel, Tyler Schuck would be the guy, not Shador Sanders. Okay, Las Vegas at 37, and I want to get to the FanDuel odds they're fascinating, man. I like GMs look at it. Try to get a feel what you know, where could players go? All my degenerate friends are calling and texting constantly and I and I love getting into it. We'll get into FanDuel in a little bit. But what's interesting and I'll give you a kind of a preview fanduel is saying and and thank you fanduel. The lights are on in here because of your partnership with us and we appreciate everything you do for us. And I love your app and I love the fact that I get to send a text to Tucker, Tucker sends it on and then I get the Todd's odds as they laugh at me. But Vegas is the odds on favorite favorite for fanduel to draft Shador Sanders. Makes sense. Tom Brady. There's a connection there. Again, we'll come back to that. We'll get to the odds and we'll get to Shador in just a little bit. Jaden Higgins, come on man. Is a big, tall, physical receiver. Gets off the press. Everything Mike Vrabel has been talking about all off season. They've tried to go through free agency. They tried to get DK Metcalf, they tried to get some big guys. Jaden Higgins is that guy and you can get him at 38. I would love that. Fit for the Patriots for Drake May. Chicago. We talked about Mike Green, one of the five best edge rushers in this class still sitting there. Chicago's got two picks, 39, 41. I talked about two to three running backs in round two. I think this could be Caleb Johnson. The other name you could hear, Quinshon Judkins. Okay, Johnson's a little better catching the ball out of the backfield. That's why I think with Ben Johnson that could make sense. I skipped over the quarterback and his name ain't Shador. Tyler Schuck. I had going to New Orleans at 40 and I mentioned could go even higher to Cleveland if Cleveland were to draft a quarterback. But their actions indicate to me that that might not be the play. And then finally the Jets. I do think the jets could be looking at corner. I think they could be looking at edge. The one thing I'll say to you jets fans that are watching, I think this is going to be a defensive player. They bypassed that at the seventh overall pick. Went with offensive tackle Armand Membu. Okay, but they but they want to go defense here. Aaron Glenn. So that's how I I ripped out the mock top 10 last night. I still feel good. Pretty good about it even after all the conversations I had today. So from here, let's get into Shador. Okay? We got to get into Shador and we got to get into the Fanduel before the draft starts in nine and a half minutes. So let's go. Oh, there, there's Fanduel. Let's start there. Actually, this is a good way to. Better way to start teams to draft Shador Sanders. I mentioned it. Look at that. It's at the bottom of your screen. Minus 220 for the Raiders. That means they, they think more so than any other team. Look at the rest of the odds. New Orleans. No. So Cleveland is plus 300 far away from me. Is it 340 or 300? Plus 340. Plus 340. Steelers are plus 290. Steelers are plus 290. Saints are plus 700. Jets are plus 1200 and everyone else is a balloon here. 700 for the plus 700 saints plus 1200 jets plus 1600 rams. I think this with Shador. I think the Cleveland Browns indicated by, by making that move from two and walking away from the Shohei Otani of the NFL and Travis Hunter, what he projects to be. I think they signaled we're out on 2026 or 2025, the quarterback class. We're betting on 2026. Okay. I think that that's exactly what it signaled. And I look at next year's class and it's so early. Like I promise you, when you talk to NFL teams two years ago or two, I guess two and a half years ago it was. Jaden Daniels is a fourth, fifth round pick. He went number two overall and just took them deep into the playoffs. The Washington Commanders. Cam Ward, fifth round pick, six round pick, number one overall pick this year. So it's going to change. There will be a name or two that pops up every year. It happens when you look at things right now, I look at that class. Lenora Sellers is awfully intriguing coming out of South Carolina. Okay. He's a guy that I to me is someone who could absolutely be in the mix next year. Kate Clubnik from Clemson is another guy. I've got notes here. I'm trying to think. Even my brain doesn't work. I'm not like Kuiper. Kuiper wants to talk in the second round about every single prospect for next year because he's over it already. But, but when you look at the, the quarterbacks next year, those are two of the names. I also, you know, Arch Manning, Nico you know, Emaliova is going to ucla. Both super talented players. I think the Manning family is, is rightfully going through a process where it's been patience. Let's get him developed, get a year starting at Texas, then bring him back for his final year. I think he's in the 2027 class. I think Nico's in the 2027 class. Okay, so. Oh, Garrett Nussmeier. I can't believe I forgot his name. He would be number one on my board when I do my way too early mock draft. I think he's going to wind up being, I love how I got to do face ID right now. He would wind up being the, the number one quarterback that I'm going to have and maybe the number one overall pick. So those are some of the names for next year. And my point was in all of this that Shador Sanders, everyone thought Cleveland pick 33, but you don't trade back and trade away from Travis Hunter and and do so to pick up next year's first round pick from Jacksonville in order to put yourself in position. Position to package picks. Move up and go get a quarterback. You want next year, we got Joe Flacco. This year you got Kenny Pickett. Do we want to bring in Shador Sanders as a second round pick? With all of the media circus and hype that would come with that, is that what we want to do? I just, I don't see that as the plan. Okay. I think Kevin Stefanski and his general manager, Andrew Barry are looking at it like we can win enough games. We just brought in Mason Graham, plugging him in next to, next to Miles Garrett. We don't have to score a ton of points and we got an offensive coach who's proven he can win a lot of games with a Joe Flacco. And let's see what he can do with Kenny Pickett who was drafted in the first round for a reason. So I think that's where Cleveland is. I'll be surprised, man. I will be surprised if they drafted Shador Sanders or any quarterback. But if it is a quarterback, I'm told it's Tyler Schuck. So let's get back to Shador. I get the pushback. I understand. I've told you from the beginning, I think he's the best pure passer in this class. I think Shador Sanders also processes faster or as fast as any quarterback in this class. Those are his two secret ingredients. But he's not all that big. Oh, and his toughness. He's a tough son of a gun. He really is. And so those three things are the reasons why you love Shador. But you also like the tape shows a quarterback who's drifting a lot in the pocket, bailing out, looking for, for gold. Every time he, every time he drops back rather than taking the short change and moving the chains, you see a quarterback who doesn't, who isn't the biggest, doesn't have the strongest arm and is not mobile, ironically enough, like son of Deion Sanders. He is not a fast, fast young man. So all those kind of add up. And I want to bring you inside NFL rooms right? What happens is with quarterbacks and quarterbacks only, you got to think about it like if you're not drafting him to be a starter, then why would I use a first round pick on him? And what, what and I told you about 2022. And yes, there are quarterbacks that occasionally come off the board early in round two. A lot of times if you go back and look if you're around two guy with the teams think or teams think and or are in position to take a chance on that developing a quarterback and maybe it's not in year one, but our situation is that we, we need to take a chance on this guy. We'll let him try to start some games. If it doesn't work out, we'll be right back in the market next year Will Levis, Tennessee. It's exactly the scenario I'm talking about. Occasionally there are second round prospects at the quarterback position who get drafted in the second round. Oftentimes guys with early second round grades go in the first round. But oftentimes guys, excuse me, with second round mid second round grades which a lot of teams and people were warned. I've watched the coverage all morning. I see what everyone's talking about. But I don't know why everyone's so damn surprised that Shador still on the board. I told you, I've got a late first, early second round grade. That's the, that's what it equates to way more important than me. I know hate everyone hates anonymous anonymous scout guy this time of year. But personnel people were getting it out there almost for his protection like no, the grades in the league are late first second round and so teams don't want to use a second round pick. It's not about Shador Sanders as you see his top traits and limitations. And I had him ranked 21 overall in this class that did not have a lot of elite talent at the top. It's, it's interesting because Shador is in a situation where the commercials, the, the media hype, his father, the Colorado, you know, the buffs, like all, everything that comes with that package actually works against him. Because you like to bring in a second round quarterback if you make that decision. And for it to be like, yep, he's going to back up and if he has a great camp, maybe we'll give him an opportun. But with Shador, it's a different animal. The coverage for like across the board nationally, it's not about Cam Ward went one. My guy Kuyper, still losing his mind, had him ranked five overall. It was not the right ranking and I love Mel, but it was almost a disservice to Shedeur, all this hype and these conversations about. And that's why he started to get the information. And by the way, he shrunk the pool too. I started to tell you this right after the combine. Why is he shrinking the pool? Why am I talking to executive from two teams in the top 10 who by the way, are picking again in the top 10 of round two that have a need at quarterback where he went in and he didn't, didn't present himself the way that you and I would present ourselves in a job interview when we needed a job. And so this has been building and he's been shrinking the pool with his actions. And his tape is good. It's really good. It's not great. It's not Cam Ward's tape. It's certainly not Caleb Williams tape or Drake Mays, Jaden Daniels. Okay, so that's why Shedor's here. And I don't want like he's a good young man. I respect the hell out of him, his toughness, how he's carried him. There's no moment that's too big for him. But it could be another long night for him if he doesn't go. And I don't think it's Cleveland, but if he doesn't go to the Raiders, I'm looking at this board at 37. I think it's 83 overall. I think it's 83 where, where Pittsburgh picks in the third round. I'm looking it up right now just to make. Yep, 83 overall, 19th pick of the third round. That's kind of the floor. That's where Mike Tomlin and I don't know if they can move up and try to make sure they get him. I've heard Seattle is a possibility, Arizona is a possibility to come in as a backup. There are a couple other places that are possibilities. But if it's not 37 in the Raiders and you saw FanDuel, they agree, if it's not 37 of the Raiders, this could be a really long night. So we could put the. Tucker, if we don't mind, put the, change the coverage on this TV if we can. So we're watching the draft as it goes, but we're, we're here and there's a lot. All Browns fans, you know what, let's get to you real quickly. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair what happened. We had our good friend and we're grateful to have Bill Simmons on last night and had a blast talking to him about the Patriots before the Wi Fi cut out. And life, life happens. I called it the Irish goodbye. But in the, in all of that, we had to go off air for a little bit and bring him in. And when that happened, we, we weren't able. It's the only team out of 32 that we didn't give the proper coverage to. Okay. And so Browns fans, I want to, I want to give you your due for a minute. I talked about Mason Graham. I talked about that decision. I want to explain something. When you go, when you pass on Shohei Otani, you better do it for a good reason, right? And the good reason is we're looking at the future of this organization. Organization. And I respect Andrew Barry a lot for this. Andrew Barry knows he didn't make the desean Watson situation happen. He didn't make that decision. And so when the owners, when ownership comes out and they say that was on us, that wasn't on Andrew Berry, it tells me that there's, there's a mutual respect and there's a longer leash than you would think given the struggles that Cleveland's had and deservedly so. This is a decision that Andrew Berry made for the Cleveland Browns that Browns fans should be thrilled about. Not that you passed on Travis Hunter, who doesn't want Travis Hunter? Sensational talent could affect both sides of the ball. But what the Browns get is they move back two spots or three spots to number five. They get Mason Graham, who's going to come in. And I absolutely love Mason Graham, his short arms and everything. I wrote the Picasso of hand violence and leverage. Watching his tape would make a grown defensive line coach teary eyed. That good. Incredible instincts, locates the ball like, oh, it's just like a step ahead. It's rare to see an interior defensive lineman with his instincts. And it's football 24 7. Think about Aaron Donald, think about his former teammate, Hutchinson. Okay. Now the short arms. Yes. He doesn't have like Aaron, Donald, Fletcher, Cox, like Burst didn't blow up the combine. Like those guys didn't actually work out on the ground a bit too much when he's rushing the quarterback. So there are things to improve upon. But this guy is an absolute stud and he's going to come in and he's going to be a factor and you know what happens there in Cleveland got a lot of one on ones because everyone's worried about Myles Garrett and they should be. But plugging him in is. That's going to make a difference. This is going to be a tough defense to score on and that plays in like Stefanski will coach him up. Stefanski system is outstanding. They will. They'll get their points this year. They're not having to deal with the desean stuff anymore. That's behind them and that's a great thing. So this pick is all about what they got in return and the Jaguars were overly eager and it's wonderful for that organization that they get the Shohei Otani, as we're calling him, of the NFL. That's what he projects to be. And they've already come out. Liam Cohen, the head coach, said it's going to be primarily wide receiver and then we're going to start growing his role on the defensive side. You know what I say to that, Liam, good luck to you, man. Like he's playing defense to figure it out. He's going to play defense too. So. But for the Browns to pass on that, they had to get a lot in return and they got more than their share. They still get a great player, one of the three to five best players on most teams boards. They amp up that defense that was already amped up. And then you look at next year, the first round draft pick in addition to the second round pick, which you're going to see very early when we. When the clock gets started and I'm looking at the commissioner right now, they're still going through Wisconsin football players up there. So they're still kind of going through some of the ceremonies to begin this thing. But. But shortly after this, we'll get the draft started and it starts with Cleveland and then just a few picks later, it's Cleveland again. Okay. And. And that's a huge part of this deal. Because you know what? You know why Andrew Barry, smart Browns fans who I neglected yesterday and I feel terrible about. You know why Andrew Barry so smart in making this deal? Because he recognizes as Great as Travis Hunter is, Mason Graham's an outstanding player and can take us to another level. And most importantly, two things. The quarterback class next year has a chance to be really damn good and we want in on that. We don't want to take a flyer, okay? We did that three different times. You, you Browns fans know this. There were three times second pick in the first round. Brady Quinn, Johnny. Brandon Whedon, Brady Quinn and Johnny Manziel. Right? Never their first pick, always their second pick. There's a reason they were the second pick. So let's not make that mistake again as an organization, even though Barry wasn't there. Let's be smart. Let's get out ahead of this thing. Let's get a first round pick next year. This class maybe turns into what we had in 2024. Okay? And let's be a part of that. Let's have the ammo to go up and move and get a guy. And then also this year where this draft, and this is the important part, this draft is loaded because of nil transfer portal and kind of the remnants of COVID loaded with guys in second, third, fourth and even fifth round. So let's be a part of that. Let's get more, more hacks at it. They got a 20, 25 this year, second round pick, number 36 overall. And they also got the fourth pick, fourth round pick, 126 overall. So now the Browns are stocked with picks. Absolutely stocked. That's why it made sense. So you add that to what they already had at 33 and 67 and 94. Okay? So they now have 12 picks in this draft and they've used one of them on a darn good player in Mason Graham. So there you go. Browns fans, I apologize for, for skipping over you. Wasn't fair yesterday. A lot was going on, but here we are. All right. I saw the commissioner. Cleveland's on the clock. I think it's time. Tucker, one more time. Let's play the music. Let's get it ready. When we come back, it is time to go round two of the 2025 NFL Draft. Foreign. Here we are. It's the start. Round two. I told you this, this group is loaded today. That's all all people in the NFL. When, when I was having my calls, all they could talk about was how loaded this group is. Okay? Some of them were talking about the Falcons got fleeced. How could they give up all that? All those picks. The Rams get to get 46. The Rams get 242 in the second seventh round. Rams got a first round pick next year but the Falcons needed those edge rushers and they got two of them. But, but most people wanted to talk about in the league that the fact that this, this board is richer, if you will, than we typically ever see. I've got my top 300 in hand. You got. Look at all this stuff. It's an absolute mess. I don't even need these notes. Let's get rid of these notes. Right. And here we go. I've got my, my team needs draft picks, GMs, head coaches, coordinators. I got my top 300 which will. They'll keep behind the window. The wizard of Oz back there. Tucker, keep my and Dan and everybody else who's working on this. Riley will keep the, keep the best players available going. I don't know how long we're going to stay and if you're just joining us now, I'm sorry, Menches mafia. Steve's not here. Steve's got other duties. NFL draft related. He'll be with us tonight. We're gonna, we're gonna hang here as long as we can. As long as my voice holds up. As long as things are really interesting. And then, and eventually I said show till shuck. I think I want to do a show till shuck. Now I'm worried if shuck falls to the third round like some people in the league think that these quarterbacks could fall to the third round. I don't think it's going to happen. It could be a long night for my voice and my bladder. But, but we're here and I'm fired up and we'll go as long as it feels right. And if everyone's involved and excited, we're going to get to some of the questions. I will. I'll pull up this screen somewhere we get the YouTube going. Appreciate everyone who's here on YouTube, but the pick is in for the Cleveland Browns and we're going to follow it all night. The first pick for the Browns is Mason Graham. As we talked about. I better have my trusty pen somewhere. There it is. We'll get ready to cross things off the board and get everyone caught up. Cleveland Browns make the selection. Oh, Carson Schlesinger. Interesting. Interesting. By the Cleveland Browns. Carson Schlesinger. What a story. He joined UCLA as a walk on. Okay, folks, a walk on. And as a former walk on. I've got an affinity for these guys. Okay. Okay. Didn't play hardly at all. Played in 38 games in four seasons at UCLA. But all 10 of his starts came in 2024. He was a backup. He was a walk on. You know what walk ons do? I can tell you firsthand. They get their ass kicked every day in practice. They call. You preferred walk ons. I used to joke it's preferred because they prefer beating your brains in over someone they're paying and invested a scholarship in. And so he red shirts in 2021. Barely plays like some special team stuff. 2022 and 2023, get this. Schlesinger gets his first career start, game three of this past season. Game three. He didn't even enter the season as a starter, folks. He played so well in those 10 games. In those 10 starts that he got, he was named a Butkus Award finalist for one of the best linebackers in the entire country. And now he's the first draft pick of the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. How can you not get excited about this story, right? And so you look back, 10 starts, he had 132 tackles, eight and a half tackles for loss, four sacks, three pass breakups, two interceptions, a force fumble. This guy's everywhere. He is. Here's the deal with him. He's not old school. He's not one of those take on, you know, you just beat up a fullback. We barely have fullbacks left in the league. But what he does so well, his instincts are the rarest of the rare, which is fascinating to me. How do you develop these instincts on scout team as a backup? Because he, he has a quarterback type instincts. As a linebacker, he reads things. No misdirection is going to fool him. Pass, pass, drops. He's, he's in there. He's really good in coverage. So the two things he does well is he's got great instincts and he's going to be a step ahead. And then he's outstanding in coverage and in this league, pass happy league. He's the type of guy that you look to bring in because he can cover so much ground versus the run and in coverage, he's the type of guy that you can put like that Tampa to turn and run, carry the receiver down the seam, the tight end, whoever it is, the big receiver, the tight end carries that slot down the middle of the field beautifully. So for me, with this system, right, 4, 3 scheme, I always said 4 3, like off the ball linebacker. The old will, let's call him the weak side linebacker. He's a perfect fit. And so now you look at Mason Graham and with Jeremiah Owusu Coramoa, oh, you're Gonna love this pick with, with Jok and coming off the injury, it's insurance there, but also he can be the starter next to him at some point in time. So they are loading up on defense, folks. They, they believe in what they have offensively, but they also have another pick coming up in a few spots, so we'll keep an eye on that. What I'm most intrigued in now is this next pick. Here's a play. Jaden Higgins. I bet you the Patriots draft room is not thrilled right now because I thought Jaden Higgins was going to be the perfect fit for the New England Patriots with Mike Vrabel. I told you in that top 10, the mock draft. Top 10. Okay. Jaden Higgins is one of my, interestingly enough, one of my favorite receivers in this draft and my second favorite receiver on his team. And we'll get to Jalen Noel when he gets drafted later. Higgins is 6 foot 4. We talked about big receivers. They're hard to find. That's why Tetaro McMillan went higher than he probably should. Went number eight overall. These big receivers are hard to find. The six 1, 6 foot 5, 11, 5, 10, 5, 9 guys, they're not dime a dozens, but they're a lot easier to find. He had 20 contested catches, most in the Big 12 this past season. That's his game, but also his game at 6 4, 214 pounds. He's got these long 33 inch arms. You saw a trade here. Trade. Seahawks are now on the clock at 35. This thing. Hey, by, by the way, if I didn't tell you, it moves fast tonight. 7 minutes per. Last night was 10. Can drag out a little bit. Didn't feel like it last night. I think I blacked out during half of it. It just, it happened so fast. But tonight's even faster. Then we get to the third round and it's five minutes per pick. But Jaden Higgins, let me finish up on this. He has the best release package of any of the receivers in this draft. That means press coverage because with bigger guys, you try to reroute them, get them out, get them, don't let them get ahead of steam. He is so quick and good at getting off the line of scrimmage. And with those long 33 plus inch arms, he, he, the contested catches, the ability to go up and climb the ladder and go get the ball. Also ran a 4, 4, 7, folks. Did I mention 6, 4, 2, 14. Ran a 4, 4, 7. That's a great pick. You put him with Houston opposite. There goes my pen. Nico COLLINS okay with C.J. stroud, all of a sudden you've got some wide receivers. Thank God Gary Horton raised me well in this business. I've told you the story before. First, first lesson he taught me in my internship. Good scout always has two pens. Jaden Higgins is a great pick there. So that's fascinating. Schlesinger goes first pick overall in the second round to Cleveland. Jaden Higgins goes second pick in the second round to Houston. C.J. stroud is a happy man. And now we're on to Seattle. Seattle's got five minutes remaining on the clock, so let's go back to Houston. Why cut it short? Houston has that offensive line need. And I bet you Texans fans are wondering, right? They didn't pick in the first round, but what they did do is that they, they bolstered their picks. They now picked 34, which they just picked and we'll write that in. They've got wide receiver Jaden Higgins. They pick again at 58. I am a little surprised that it wasn't one of those offensive tackles I talked to you about. Ariante Ursary from Minnesota, Ozzie Tropillo from Boston College. Because as I talked to personnel people today, it was the same conversation, different words. It was that second shelf of tackles. But once that shelf is off, that it just drops, okay? And so I'm assuming they're hopeful they're. The guy they want is at 58. Maybe it's not a tackle, maybe it's a guard they need. They need help along the offensive line. So. So they pick at 58 again. Then they also have picks at 89 and 99. So they have three more remaining pick picks currently as it stands right now on day two. So this is going to be a fun night for Houston Texans fans. And your first pick is a guy that's going to be. Remember Tank Dell with the injury and injuries decimated that group a year ago. Collins, Nico Collins missed five games at the hamstring, still was fourth in the NFL and receiving yards per game. Tank Dell that just a brutal injury they traded for Christian Kirk. Tank, tell Tank Dell that's. That's the problem, man, he's so talented. 51 catches, 667 last year. But there was a second straight season with a season ending injury this time, ACL, MCL and LCL. While dislocating his kneecap in week 16. So you, you now, it's all right. We bring in Higgins, we got two guys on the outside, big physical receivers for C.J. and then we get Christian Kirk as our slot. That's a good group. That's a really good Houston. Texan fans, I promise you this, you're going to love Jaden Higgins and what he can do. He is a really good intermediate route runner. Really physical, great uncontested catches and he's got enough speed to get down the field. He's silky smooth and he's a savvy route runner. All right, so that's Houston. Now we got Seattle. Seattle's interesting. I don't have the trade. I don't have the exact details of the trade, but what I do know is Seattle. Seattle, after taking Gray's able, the offensive tack college offensive tackle who's a guard center in the NFL. They drafted him at 18. They had four remaining picks. They had four remaining picks. 50, 52 and 82 and 92. Say that again, Tucker. They traded what? So 52 and 82 are gone. So they gotta love this player. They had four remaining picks on day two. They just gave up two of them to go up and get this guy. So 52 and 82 are gone. So now they'll have three picks on day two. Is that Richard Sherman? He's taking his sweet time. You guys are probably 15 seconds ahead of me, so you probably know, but that's okay. I'm not tipping picks. Refuse to tip picks. Respect the game. Nicki Minwari, that makes all the sense in the world. Nicki Minwari comes in. I mean, Seattle loves these guys. Reek Wolin, they got him in the fifth. Now they get Nick Emanwari in the second and they traded up to do so. But you talk about impact players and what he can be, and that's the perfect defense. Mike McDonald and that defense. Long traitsy guys. Here's what I said. Top traits, superhuman traits. He had the best of the safeties in the 40, vertical jump, broad jump and bench press. He's a freaking headache to throw around, man. A headache. Six, three, two, twenty. He's so long. I see quarterbacks. I almost have to alter the trajectory of throws around him. 32 and a half inch arm length at already 6 foot 3 and 220 pounds. And I want to go back to this workout he had at the combine because his tape's really good. I actually, funny enough, I had a conversation with a personnel guy who's in the room with one of the teams today, and he was asking about even more. He's like, I went back. He's like, I. I went back to 20, 23. I just wanted to watch more. They played him Closer to the line of scrimmage, okay? They played him closer to the line of scrimmage and he, I thought that that was his best ball. And so what I see some things that are concerning pre snap focus, decisiveness at times, you know, playing high point or an off coverage. Those are the weaknesses for me. That's where I don't like him when he's roaming around free and it's about his eyes and not his talents. That's the whole deal. And so the interesting part, talking to the personnel guy today was I want him closer to the line of scrimmage. I want him to be a factor in the box. And if, why wouldn't you? 6, 3, 2, 20 long arms. Listen to this workout he had, okay, 4, 3, 8 at that size broke the combine broad jump record by 4 inches. Not by an inch, not by an inch and a half. By 4 inches, okay? At 11 6, his 43 inch vertical was the best by any player over 200 pounds ever at the combine. And I see the new, the picks in for the Browns and it's an exciting one. And he did all that in that workout and he, and he had that. He broke it by any, any player ever at the combine by over 200 pounds and he was 220. So Seattle, you just got a special, a special talent. And I think Mike McDonald's the exact like when you put it on the short list of four or five teams that he would fit best and have the best chance at having a great career. Mike McDonald, the Seattle Seahawks is one of them. All right, let's get back to Cleveland. We're not going to let Cleveland down today. Grandparents are from Cleveland, grew up in Ohio. Guy. My mom's from Cleveland, just outside Huron area. Sandusky, I got, I get Cleveland in my, in my blood. So Browns fans get this. If you're, if you're not watching the networks and you're just hearing it now. Quinshawn Judkins, I said I thought, I like admitting when I'm wrong. I thought it was going to be Travion Henderson as the first Ohio State running back off the board, but it's Quinshon Judkins. How pumped are Browns fans after watching the vast majority of Browns fans are Ohio State football fans. Correct. After watching that a year ago, the national championship run and after watching Quinshon Judkins be the battering ram that he was and the go to guy in big moments when they needed to run the football up the middle and now he's a Cleveland Brown this guy is something special. Listen, he spent two seasons in Ole Miss. I remember talking to Lane Kiffin and Lane saying to me, yeah, and he had just broke out at Ole Miss. This is, this is like three years ago, okay. He set the single season record in 2022 with 1567 rushing 16 touchdowns. That's how talented and how productive he's been. And I remember Lane saying, yeah, I don't know as far as the draft, Todd, I don't know if he's going to be one of those first round, second round guys. I don't know what his speed is, I don't know the explosive traits, but my gosh, is he an instinctive tough football player. And I love every little bit about this young man. Judkins goes on to transfer Ohio State. Another trade. Trade. What do we got here? The Raiders 37. Now it's the Miami Dolphins. This couldn't be Shador, could it? Let's keep an eye on that Tua and his health, injuries. I don't think it will be but it's something to keep an eye on. Okay. Quinshon Judkins, he. The 19 starts he had 20 games or 26 games at Ole Miss. All that production comes to Ohio State transfers in. He had 194 carries for over a thousand rushing yards, 14 touchdowns. Also caught the ball 22 times. I want you to hear this. He rushed for 255 yards and scored six rushing touchdowns in Ohio State's four game national championship run. That's against Tennessee's defense, Oregon's defense, Texas defense and Notre Dame's defense. And he did it in a rotation with Travion Henderson, prototypical running back size and speed. Here's the thing everyone's saying, I don't know does. Is he fast enough? Is he explosive? We're. He ran a 448 at 511 and a half, 221 pounds. He was in the 97th percentile in explosion jumps, 38 and a half vertical 11 broad. So you've got a tough son of a gun. You've got a physical, powerful runner. You've got a guy with lower body explosion, 97th percentile. Okay? And here's what I noticed about him and this is the most important. If you hear nothing else I say about Quinshon Judkins, I think what's a lot like power backs typically are slow, slow to start. They need runways. Okay, he doesn't need a Runway at all. That's what, that's his special sauce. I saw it on tape and I kept, what is it about this guy? It's when he gets out, when he fires out of his stance, getting to and through the line of scrimmage, he's maybe the fastest back in this entire class. And then he goes out the combine runs that 4, 4, 8. But you know what jumped out at me? I have it circled. I have it in bold and I have it highlighted on these notes. He ran a 1 5, 110 yard split. And I said there it is, there it is. That's why he's special. Because that big body guy who's powerful and all those things, 221lbs was the second fastest 10 yard split of all these great running backs. Record setting running backs this year's class was average 4, 48 in the 40 yard dash. And Quinteau Judkins, not 205 like Henderson who ran a 15 2, not like 200 in that range. 221 ran a 15 1. This guy's gonna be awesome. Not great catching the ball, but not a liability. And by the way, he and his buddy Trayvon Henderson, it's like watching Zeke Elliott back in the day. The ability to block with just tenacity. He's, he's going to be great on every down back for Cleveland. And with Jerome Ford and Pierre strong, it's his backfield now. Man, that's awesome for Cleveland fans. All right, next up. We had talked about the trade. I said it's, that's a dark horse for, for Shador. But I didn't think it was the case and it wasn't Big Jonah, everyone calls him Big Jonah. I'm going with it. Savia Nayi, I think that that's close. I practiced it. But Big Jonah is what we're gonna say. He is a right tackle coming out of Arizona in college and what you love about him is his versatility. And you look at Miami situation in the Dolphins and I said before there are two, there are two tackles. This is going to be a guard. I think he can play in a pinch at tackle, but I think this is going to be a guard and that and, and Miami is looking at this and saying we've got a need there, but Big Jonah and I've got him in them with the guards right here because I, I really believe that he's going to make that transition. Outside of Gray, Zable, Tyler Booker, Donovan Jackson, he's right here in my list. Next up. Okay. And I said you got to find Tehran. Tehran Armstead's replacement. Got to find Jalen Ramsey's. Replacement hasn't happened yet. They went defensive tackle, remember that first pick? And so now you look at it, they had to address the offensive line. I don't think it's for Armstead's replacement here. He is not a left tackle in the nf, but what he is is a really good guard. Okay. And big Jonah at 6 4, 325, he's like, like what is it? Spongebob square pants, something like that. He's like a square, like a rectangle I should say of a human being. He's like this tall rectangle, almost 34 inch arm length, which is actually long. This year in this class that was their arm lengths were messed up at the combine. So he's probably in real life over 34 inch arm length, which is, which is tackle. But the number one thing I had highlighted in my notes, love his versatility. Remember, this is a Miami offensive line that's kind of a mess. Offensive guard is needed, Right tackle is needed. They're hoping that their second round pick a year ago, Patrick Paul is able to take over that left tackle spot and do a good enough job to hold it down with Armstead now retiring. But the answer is not Austin Jackson. Unfortunately, Miami Fans, the former 2020, 21st round draft pick at right tackle. So now he comes in, he's got an opportunity to start at the right tackle spot, earn that spot or you kick him inside the guard. Because guard is just as big a need as right tackle. And Big Jonah, six four, 324 pounds with those long arms, he ran a sub five second 40 and people are probably like, yeah. So it's weirdly enough, these big guys, these 310, 315 plus pound offensive tackles that run sub five 40s. It's one of the best indicators or correlations if you will, to NFL success is when an offensive lineman this size runs a sub five five second 40 and he ran a four nine five. And I told you the versatility. Let me break it down for you. He started 5 games at left tackle, 16 games at right tackle, 1415 games at right guard. I mean it's perfect for Miami. I don't know that he had to trade up for him. That surprised me. But Chris Greer saw it and he, and he saw the concern. Maybe, maybe it's because Patriots are sitting there. Maybe it's because the Chicago Bears were up ahead of him. Okay. And he might have been worried they were sitting back where Miami was at 48. Yeah. I mean there look at these teams that need Offensive tackles, right. I know New Orleans took care of that with their ninth overall pick and Kelvin Banks, Chicago did not. If they're going to go offensive line, the jets took care of it. San Francisco, that's a team that they were worried about. Dallas, although they went offensive line, the Colts like all these teams ahead of them. They knew they had to get up there. The Patriots, obviously one offensive tackle, but they're capable of taking another offensive lineman. So, so big Jonah, he really looked good and natural at guard when he played there at the Senior Bowl. I think that's going to be his position. But he'll get a shot at right tackle and he was the third fastest of those offensive tackles and I told you how important that is. Sub five behind guess who. Will Campbell and Armand Menboo, both of which, both of which were top 10 picks in this draft. So I like the pick. I like the pick for Miami. I don't know you had to give away that much to go get him. Maybe it's Tropillo, maybe it's Ursary, but they love him and they got their guy. And so that's the deal for Miami. And we'll find out later. We'll break all Just a reminder for everyone following along, we'll. We'll break down everything. All the picks from. From day two, second round picks, third round picks. We'll break down all of those picks after with five picks remaining. We're coming back tonight. Five picks remaining. And so we're going to be here. Mention I will mention will join me. It'll be Mention I after the third round's over, when his responsibilities are done. Okay. And, and we'll be here and we'll do a review show live for about 45, 50 minutes an hour, whatever it takes. And then you can watch it obviously overnight and in the morning as you get ready for day three of the draft. And we'll get to all the breakdowns of some of the trades and what the teams gave up and most importantly, what did you wind up landing if you're a team, if you're a fan of a team, what did you wind up landing on day two? Okay. All right. Patriots pick. Apparently it's in. I don't see it yet. We'll wait for it to be made by the networks. We're not tipping picks. I told you. We're just not going to do it. Be very interested to see where New England goes with this pick. You look at their needs. They got their offensive tackle and Will Campbell wide receiver, interior defensive line Christian Barmore with the coming off the come with the blood clots. A little bit of concern there. I know obviously New England got the number one defensive tackle in this year's free agency group with Milton Williams coming from Philadelphia. Man, these pictures the commissioner really. Oh Travion Henderson. I love that pick for the Patriots. Holy smokes. I said I thought he'd be the first back off the board. I also said because I know there I know that there are teams in the NFL that were considering him late in the first. I know that there are teams right now Chicago Bears probably pissed because that is a perfect Ben Johnson running back. He is Travion Henderson. He will be for the Patriots. I'm not saying quite to the level. Jameer GIBBS Special, special 12th pick. I heard my good friend Joe Douglas yesterday. I saw a clip overnight talking about Jameer Gibbs, how the jets were gonna draft him when he was sitting in that chair as general manager just a couple picks later. But in the Aaron Rodgers trade, they had to flip flop picks. He was back at 15, I think it was. They took Will McDonald. Don't regret that pick turned out to be outstanding. However, the guy that they really wanted was Jameer Gibbs and Detroit took him a couple picks earlier. This is who Jameer Gibbs can be maybe just a little notch below and Travion Henderson. Here's the deal. I was starting to get sour on Travion Henderson because when you look at his, look at his career, okay? Load management for durability and late season fresh legs is going to be critical for this guy. He stayed healthy during his first season, 2021 when he was in a rotation and he stayed healthy in 2024 and had his best year in a rotation with the guy we just saw drafted a couple picks earlier. Two picks earlier, the Ohio State running backs go 36 and 38 overall. Travion Henderson stayed healthy this past year and was awesome late. Remember that, that long touchdown run against. Was it Texas on the screen screen pass. It's like 70 yards. That was Henderson, but in a rotation he was limited to 185, 185 carries in that 2021 season. This past year. Chip Kelly, Ryan Day were smart. Let's get Quinshon Judkins in here. Let him handle the pounding, the bruising. Let Travion be Travion. Let's get him involved in the passing game. Change of pace back. He's so explosive. 4, 4, 3, 5, 10, 202 pounds, 443. He's an absolute burner. Okay? And so the. The two years in between when he was elevated to be the guy and was carrying the load, couldn't stay healthy. All right, but you combine the last two years of production at Ohio State for him, he had almost 2,000 rushing yards, 300 carries, average 6.5 a carry, 21 rushing touchdowns also average 11.2 average as a receiver at the running back position is outstanding. Normally running backs is like 7.6, 8.4, 11.2 shows. It shows you the explosiveness. Then he goes to the combine, runs the 4, 4, 3 at the combine. Also lower body explosion. Tied for fourth in that awesome running back group that I've told you about. 38 and a half inch vertical. Tied for 6, 10, 8 broad. Much more effective in a physical behind, you know, behind a physical kind of that gap blocking. But experienced and effective in both. I wrote in my notes. His feet are so damn quick. He's just ultra light on his feet show. Here's what he does. He explodes. Not quite as fast, just a tick below Quinchon, out of his stance to the line of scrimmage. But then he's got this little, little shuffle slide. And what, what separates him from a lot of backs is when they shuffle slide. Takes him a split second to get going again. He doesn't. It's all seamless. It's like, okay. And then the blocking when you're not using him as a receiver. And they're going to use them a lot with Drake May. They're going to use Trayvon Henderson a lot with Drake May as a receiver out of the backfield. But you can't tip it, right. You can't tip your hand. And so you've got to. You got to make sure that when he's in there and he has to pass protect and the protection changes because of what, What Drake Macy's. The line of scrimmage. He's got to be capable or else we can't play him as much as we want. And this guy reminds me of Zeke Elliott. I told you both of these guys. But he is more accomplished, I'd say as a run blocker now, but you should see the hit reel for him as a blocker. It's awesome. I just love this guy's competitive grit. Same for Judkins. So explosive catching the ball. And by the way, you know how many times he fumbled 171touches in 2024. You know how many times he fumbled? Zero. 666 carries or touches during his career. You know how many times he fumbled once. So you trust him. He can protect. He's an absolute weapon in the passing game. And as a change of pace back in New England, look at their running backs, right? Underwhelming, to say the least. Ramon Dre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson. That just elevated. So now you get your left tackle and Will Campbell. Campbell. And now you got Travian Henderson. Things are looking up for that New England offense. Chicago Bears pick is in Luther Burden. I love that. Who? Bears fans. Bears fans. It wasn't Ashton Ginty with the first pick. But I told you you were going to love how things shake out in the first two nights of the draft. You know, protect this voice. Who cares? Luther Burden in tears right now. Family holding them. Waited longer than he wanted to. Look at his traits here, Debo. Like versatile weapon, run after catch, vision burst shake and strength, suddenness and body control to separate. He's going to have to learn routes a little bit better. Okay. Is he just a slot or can he be an outside receiver? That's one of the questions. Inconsistent tracker of the football down the field. This guy absolutely has room to grow in his game. Okay. But what he can do that a lot of guys can't do. And you see there the practice habits, distractions, etc. That's why he's still here. I promise you, folks, he's one of the 20 to 25 most talented players in this class. And so some of the externals, as we like to call them, caused him to be sitting here for the Bears at 30, now 39. But it probably will wind up being the best thing that ever happened to this young man if he can get away from. Because he grew up in that Missouri area. In Missouri. I think St. Louis is where he grew up. Played school there in Missouri. And now he gets to go not that far away, but go to Chicago, start his professional career and if he can make get on track with. With Colston Loveland, the tight end they just brought in. I want you to think about this, Bears fans. That's why I scream Bears fans all the time. This whole week I knew something special was going to happen. And this is special. Luther Burden. I'm writing it down now. You've got the mad scientist in the lab. You've got this quarterback that is wounded but is supremely talented. You're going to get him on schedule, you're going to get his mind right, you're going to protect him. We brought in Joe Tunney, we brought in Drew Dahlman, we brought in Jonah Jackson. Interior offensive line is set. You're hoping that Braxton Jones elevates a little bit at that left tackle spot. He's not been horrible, but he can be a little bit better and they're expecting him to. And now you've got DJ Moore. We talked about DJ Moore, man. For all the bad body language and some of the things, DJ Moore still put up some numbers. And that offense was struggling last year, 98 catches. Okay. And then you also. Keenan Allen's out of town, but you got Roma Dunes A who you drafted last year, what was it? Number nine overall, I believe. And a dunesday is going to elevate his game and, and now Burden comes in and you don't have to trust him as a route runner. You don't have to trust him down the field. You've got a guy in Ben Johnson who can get him the ball and be creative. Think about all the creative, almost borderline insane things that Ben Johnson did offensively with the Detroit Lions. And now he's your coach. Now he's drawing up the plays, now he's calling the plays. Now he's getting your quarterback, right? And Ryan Paul's the GM and Ian Cunningham, who's, who's the best assistant gm, have gone out and given this man weapons. Let's get him weapons. And we didn't take Tyler Warren because we wanted Colston Loveland. You know why? Because he's more he spread out and as a big slot, he's more of a weapon than Tyler Warren. They're different kinds of weapons. But separating the ability to create, those are two big time difference makers that you get now with your first two picks at 10 overall and 39 overall. And by the way, I'm going to be screaming Bears fans in about eight minutes because the Bears are back on the clock at 41. And you know what the Bears haven't gotten yet? And I'm telling you, I bet you Travion Henderson was the pick. And it's not, it's not at all a downgrade to get Luther Burden, but I, I would. They'll never admit it, but I bet the truth serum, if it were to come out, is that Trayvon Henderson would have been the pick there because DeAndre Swift, that that signing didn't turn out great. He was 31st among running backs and rushing yards with 150 carries. It was actually 36. So when you look at that like running back is still in the. Oh, we'll get back to you, Bears fans. You're on the clock. Next, the mock draft, the mock top 10, the flash mock we called it. And I had a, I had a feeling this was all along a Kellen Moore. New Orleans Saints was Jackson Dart Tyler Schuck. It was not a Shador Sanders team because of Kellen Moore and what he's looking for in that position. Hey, I'm an undersized quarterback who didn't have the greatest arm and wasn't overly mobile. That's why I was, I was a walk on at Richmond. And while we have a great appreciation for Our kind, we have a fascination with guys like Tyler Schuck, okay? Guys that can put the ball in places that we couldn't put it. Guys that can run and get out of trouble the way we couldn't. Guys that are tall enough to see the field and don't have to struggle behind six foot four, six foot five offensive linemen. And that is exactly what Kellen Moore has had. I've been saying this for, for two months now. It feels like the Kellen Moore is going to be a Jackson Dart guy or a Tyler Schuck guy. He's not going to be a Shador Sanders guy. And now the. The Shador Sanders watch is on. And we'll get to that in a little bit. But the point is, now Tyler Shuck with Kellen Moore, three stops as offensive coordinator before becoming the head coach. And he obviously did a damn good job at all three of those stops. And they were with who? Dak Prescott in Dallas, Justin Herbert out in la, and Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia. More mobile, sturdy build, stronger armed guys. Tyler Shuck, you ready? I've been waiting to talk about this young man since we talked to him at the combine. And the reason we talked to him at the combine is I loved his story and I wanted to get to know him a little bit more. And I'm so glad I did. He's 25, turning 26. He's had durability issues. Those were the knocks. That's why he's in the second round. Turns 26 years old. First month of the NFL season three season ending injuries. Tyler Schuck, when he first came out, was in Trevor Lawrence's class. Think about how long Lawrence has been in the NFL. He was the backup to the man I just mentioned. He was the backup to Kellen Moore's guy out in la, Justin Herbert. So he's been through it, guys. He guys and girls, he has been through it. Look at this. This graphic. Thanks for throwing this up, Tucker. This was what everyone was worried about in the league. It's not necessarily the injuries. They were all bone breaks. It's not necessarily the age. It's the. It's the one season as a starter. Okay? So we're bringing in a guy who is older, who does. Who only has one season to start. Cam Ward, 57 starts, five seasons. Shador Sanders, four seasons, 50 starts. Dart, 38 starts. Milro, 27 starts, four seasons. Shuck, in seven seasons, only had 24 starts. But you get to know this young man and it's not just me. I didn't just like fall in love with the guy and what he's been through. Everyone in the league I talked to had an appreciation so much of being a quarterback and being dropped in this room with veterans and having to get into a huddle and go into a meeting room with offensive linemen and big, big dudes who are 30, 33 years old, grown ass men, families, mouths to feed, all of it. You got to know who you are. You got to know who you are as a quarterback and you got it. In order to find out who you are, I think a lot of people who are of age can, can kind of, I don't want to say sympathize with this, but they can, they can understand this concept. You got to go through things in life to figure out who you are. And this man was carted off the field one of the three season ending injuries and thought he would never play it down a football again. He thought football was taken away from him. He was one of the elite 11 guys. He was up there like the same ranking as, just shy of Trevor Lawrence. He got his pick of all these different schools. Remember this is when Oregon was blowing up. They had Justin Herbert, Mario Cristobal, okay, so he goes there, it doesn't work out. He winds up getting injured, right? Cristobal leaves, he transfers to Texas Tech, starts the season, gets injured, starts the next season. Broken left fibula. It doesn't work out. Texas Tech, the Brahms call. Jeff and Brian Braum are two of the coaches in college football. There's a handful of them, but two of the coaches that really know how to, how to, how to develop quarterbacks. They got their hands on Tyler for a year and he took off. Outstanding. Look, let's look at the traits. Biggest and fastest of the top four quarterbacks. Ball placement is really good from the pocket and off script. And this guy flicks his wrist, it's like, and it's the energy coming off this ball. He's also, as I just told you, the backstory, most mature battle tested in the class. Yes. The age, durability. He can be a little streaky. He's got some stuff to work out in the red zone with his issues. But I mean, what better spot New Orleans with Kellen Moore. I don't know, man. This guy might be starting week one. I'm telling you, I said, I said back in January after we met with him, I think he's the most NFL ready of the quarterbacks. And he's, and he's probably the second most gifted behind Cam Ward. And you combine those two things. He just hasn't had the starts, he hasn't had the opportunity. But he was ranked that high with Trevor Lawrence. Supposed to be Justin Herbert's heir apparent. Had an awesome year this year. Carried Louisville, 6, 5, 219 pounds. We're in a 4, 6, 3. He's different. And you're going to get. Hey, Saints fans, you're going to get to know this young man and you're going to see there's some magic in his game. There's some maturity between his ears and in his. In his soul, if you will. I think he's got a chance with the Derek Carr. Situation's ugly. There's some stuff that, like, I'm not a reporter. You can get it from other places like that. That thing's tricky. I don't know how that's going to end. And you look at that, you look at that. I mean, traits wise, it's not even close with Spencer Rattler. Spencer Rattler was a fifth round pick for a reason. Tyler Schuck, just one full year as a starting quarterback, is now the. The 40th overall pick in this draft for a reason. I promise you this. He had another season at Louisville and he didn't have the three injuries and he wasn't 26 we would have been talking about. Where's he going? Cleveland? Is Cleveland going to pass on him? Is he going to go. Is it one spot down? Is the Giants. Is he going with Brian Dabel now? He goes 40 overall. I love that pick. I love that pick for New Orleans and most importantly, I love that pick for Tyler Schuck. TJ Sanders off the board. Oh, it must have been a trade, huh? Bears fans. I didn't get to yell Bears fans again, but I can yell trade TJ Sanders. Mensch is Mensch. This is what happens when you go sit in the auditorium over. Not the auditorium. What is that? Where is he? Sitting in the screening room. He's got other work to do. We love Mensch. Mensch's mafia. Tell Mensch how much you love him if you're out there, how much you wish he was here. We got to get that done. TJ Sanders, SC Interior defensive lineman. TJ Sanders is one of Mench's favorite players in the draft, and I like him, too. There's a lot to like this Bills team. You, you look at what the Buffalo Bills are doing, right? And you look at that, that first round pick at the cornerback position, and now they go, they go. Defensive tackle Maxwell Harrison's their first pick at 30. And now they go, TJ Sanders, you got to stay with me here as I'm writing everything down. I got to keep up too. TJ Sanders. And this is a team outside of cornerback. I felt like they could go where they wanted to go. And a lot of people were mocking defensive tackle or interior defensive lineman to them. You know, the beauty is this defensive line group was sixth in pass rush, win, win rate, eighth best pressure percentage last year. And now they bring in, and obviously there's been some transition, but they bring in next to Ed Oliver. TJ Sanders. Wow. TJ Sanders is a three technique. What does that mean? He lines up on the outside shoulder of the guard in that gap and his job is to penetrate and disrupt. And when he gets back there to disrupt, locate the ball and go get it. Okay. He was a four year player at South Carolina. Didn't play much. 20, 21, 20, 22 during his final two seasons, 25 games, 16 starts. They rotated guys. It was weird. Like even their best players wouldn't start, but they'd be in three plays later. 93 tackles the last two years as a defensive tackle, 16 and a half for loss, eight and a half sacks and five pass breakups. He's six, four, just shy of six, four, 297 pounds, got long, 33 plus inch arms, big mitts, 10, 10 and a quarter inch mitts versus the run. Just like I said, the first step, quickness, active, get him up the field, disrupt. He's at his best when you can keep him on the, on the move and utilize that, that athleticism that he has. All right, he played, he played a lot of one technique, which means over the nose tackle too. And who knows, maybe that's how they're going to use them. With Daquan Jones there next to Ed Oliver. We'll see how they utilize him. And ultimately the, the rotation just got deeper and the start, the starting tandem, if Sanders is ready to start right away, which I think he could be, just got better. His twitch and his quick hands are what jumped out to me. All right. It allows like how quick he is. He's always advancing his rush. When I was watching him as a pass rusher, the notes I was jotting down his feet and his, and his hands are always. And it's like as he's moving, it's like a sewing machine that. But he's always advancing. Some guys are doing that and they're not going anywhere. It's like, what's the purpose? He's always advancing his rush. He's a pain in the ass for an offensive guard to deal with because you're constantly having to reshuffle your hands and set right. And so Sanders, I like this pick a lot. It's a value pick. He was always going to go in the second round. Look at my board right now. What was 41st overall pick? Sanders was up there and one of these guys I knew was going to come off the board. I had 53 overall. But it honestly, when you get to this range outside of the Will Johnson and Mike Green who are injury and character respectively are the reasons that they fall to me. This is exactly where he was going to wind up going this range of the draft. Now let's look at it when we got a minute. Tucker, let's pull up the best available to show people because now, now we're turning the page. Bills with a great pick. Tyler, this has been fireworks, folks. We got two Ohio State running backs. We got one of my favorite receivers in the draft, Jaden Higgins going to going to Houston. Quinshon Judkins. Both the Ohio State backs off the board, 36 and 38. Judkins to the Browns, Henderson to the Patriots. Then you got Luther Burden. We got a just another chess piece with Colston Loveland. Just a little chess piece. Move him around. Let the guy in the lab do his work. Tyler Schuck, like easily my favorite person to talk to so far. The player to talk to in this draft. And just like I love his story and what he's been through. Perseverance, man. And now TJ Sanders menches guy off the board early. But we're still sitting here at pick 42. New York Jets. This screams Will Johnson. If it's not. If they're. If he's not dinged too much. This just screams Will Johnson. But they're man to man. I don't know Mike Green. I don't know where where the jets stand on on that. Some organizations it's well at certain price. Other organizations like the Eagles. We talked to Howie Roseman at the combine. It was no Mason Taylor. Mason Taylor. I thought Mason Taylor could go late. First to the Philadelphia Eagles. Mason Taylor's now off the board. New York jets. That is a phenomenal pick. And I said I they wanted to go defense with this pick. They really wanted to get an Aaron Glenn guy. And so what does it tell you by taking Mason Taylor here that they liked him that much? They had him rated as in the same range I did. I had Mason Taylor's the 28th prospect in this draft and that tells me that they had a similar grade on Mason Taylor. Son of Jason Taylor, hall of Famer, obviously has the bloodlines. I think Mason Taylor and of course I'm looking at the networks and we're going to do a, you know, stories on dad and all that. But how about the player, right? Like how about what he's been through? How about a three year starter at lsu? How about that game that he won? OT winner against Alabama, two point conversion, clutch. Probably another earthquake. You probably the Richter scare scale. But this guy comes in every scout I talk to, every personnel person I talk to. Man, he's so clean. You know exactly what you're getting with Mason Taylor. Three year starter, most productive tight end in LSU history. 129 catches, 1308 yards, six touchdowns. Closed his career catching at least one pass in 28 straight games. Two time member of the SEC, Academic All American or academic honor roll football families bloodlines. I mentioned it. Not just his dad, Jason, 15 years, NFL hall of Fame uncle Zach Thomas, also awesome player, Miami Dolphins linebacker, undersized hall of Fame. It's kind of in the blood. Two hall of Famers in your family and now he comes in. The thing with Mason Taylor. Jets fans, they didn't utilize. It was a lot of like in the flats crossers. They didn't utilize his athleticism. He didn't run a 40 yard dash, but I'm telling he's got to be in like that 4, 6 range. He's, he's smooth glider. Not the kind, but he's a smooth glider. Get him in a crease, play action, work the ball to him. There's a lot of talk about the jets taking Tyler Warren in the first. Well, they got their offensive line finally figured out. Three GMs later, I think it may be secured finally. And now they get the tight end in. Mason Taylor, who comes in and can be great and play actions great. Short, intermediate, really good after the catch. But his average depth of target was 12th percentile. And that's what I'm talking about. They didn't utilize him that way down the field at lsu. He can be utilized that way. There's more in the tank. But while it was 12th% percentile of depth of target, which is no fault of his own, that's how they employed him. Get in the flat, run across her. His separation rate was 96 percentile. So what does that tell you? This guy can get open and he can do it intermediate, he can do it down the seam also 85th percentile. And drop and drop. Drop rate, hit four drops, final two seasons at LSU. This guy catches everything around him. Great pick for the New York jets there. Now we get San Francisco, 11th pick of round two. We said we're only going 10 picks. I can't stop here yet. We'll figure out when someone might have to come and drag my dead corpse out of the seat. All right? San Francisco, 40, 43 overall, took Alfred Collins, I'm sure you guys are. You've got two screens going and everyone saw. Alfred Collins is an interesting player. Alfred Collins kind of came out of nowhere this past year for a Texas defense that was, was to be a force to be reckoned with, okay? And Alfred Collins was that big guy up front who was causing, causing a lot of the problems, a lot of them. And he had to wait. He had to sit and wait and wait his turn. But this, this defensive tackle class, the guys started to come off the board earlier. You know, we, we saw, we saw Kenneth Grant. We obviously early saw Mason Graham the, to the Browns. We saw Walter Nolan come off the board where he belonged. Derek Harmon going 21st, not Shador 21 to, to the Steelers. We saw Kenneth Grant come off the board early to Miami. So the. And then Ty Leak Williams is surprised in the first round, okay? And now we already saw TJ Sanders off the board. So this is that run, this is that run on defensive tackles we've been warning you about for a couple months now. It's happening right now. Alfred Collins, I wrote, he reminds me a little bit of a Sean Robinson, a monster of a man. Much better versus the run than. Than as a pass rusher. Okay? In San Francisco, very clearly, Mikel Williams, big, strongest dirt edge rusher with traits to become a great pass rusher in the NFL. And I mean like really like double digit sack guy. If, if he and Bosa get together and they cook it up a little bit and get his technique down and get him a little bit more sudden and feisty and he's got a chance to be really good. And now they bring in Alfred Collins. All right? Alfred Collins is six, five and a half, 332 pounds. I say this all the time to mention Mensch hates when I do it, but the good lord doesn't make it. Only makes so many 6 foot 5, 332 pound human beings that are hungry. And I don't mean appetite, I mean like competitive, tough, physical, willing to put in the work, 34 and 5, 8 inch arms. Okay, so what's the deal on Alfred Collins? Why did he Just explode on the scene this past year. Well, you got to remember he was sitting by. He was a five year player at Texas, played a lot of ball but was only a full time starter. In 2024 he sat behind NFL draft picks Byron Murphy and Tavandre Sweat when they left Austin he emerged right. Think about Byron Murphy and what he's expected to do in Seattle right to Vondre Sweat what he did as a rookie. So he's played 48 games. Alfred Collins has during his and 12 starts during his first four seasons as a starter. In 2024 started all 16 games like an NFL season when you go that college football play if you go on the run that Texas did, finished with 55 tackles, five and a half for loss. Just one sec. I told you he's a big strong like good luck moving him off the spot but also active and will make some plays. Here's the thing that the best thing he does as a pass rusher, those long ass arms, almost 35 inches. He gets them up and knows when to get them up and disrupts, disrupts passing windows. He had seven pass breakups last year, okay, but he is tall, big, long, strong. He's going to be that zero technique. San Francisco, they're going to plug him in there and good luck running the ball now because now on one side Mikel Williams, I told you he is a great run defender now and he's got great traits as a pass rusher. Now you get Bosa on one side, Mikel on the other and Alfred is one of the two interior defensive linemen that's gonna be a tough, tough group to run on. Speaking of defensive linemen, Donovan Ezra Rocku, the Boston College guy off the board at 44 to the Dallas Cowboys. I saw your comments. Comments Cowboys fans, I saw them. I know you're mad at me. I don't really. I don't dislike the, the player. I love the player. And Tyler Booker, I disliked where you had to get him. That was my only gripe. Okay, but he fits your scheme. He's a big powerful dude and now you go in the second round and you needed him. I understand that, I'm not ignorant. I mean not completely, a little bit. I'm not ignorant to the fact that you absolutely needed that. And what's happened with your offensive line recently. Let's throw up ezraku's card again. Six two. You see it right there. 248. He's undersized folks. That's what he is. I gave him an 88 grade, 8th like 8th this year would be 3rd or 4th in most years at edge rusher. Just. Just so you understand, Just so you understand, he is an absolute sack machine. FBS best 1.38 per game. I told you about that pre, pre draft during our show led the FBS 34 inch arms. It's. It's not normal to get a six two guy with that long of arms, but it helps him. Why does it help? Keeps blockers off his body and he's. What he does with those arms is just as important as how long they are. He is an absolute technician. Okay. Liatu Latu last year very similar. These guys come in the league and they are refined. They're ready to go. He also ran on the edge that ran a sub 7 second 3 cone. So that's that body control, lateral agility, change of direction. Okay. His, his dip, his instincts, his rip around the edge, his ability to work through is. They're all outstanding. But you saw Liatu this year with the Colts, right? Speaking of which, Colts are on the clock and it sounds like the pick is in. You saw this year. Sometimes these guys, it takes a little bit to, to advance because they don't have that elite, elite trait. His is combining all of it with the motor that never stops. I think the Cowboys are going to love this guy and, and I look at it as a player who can come in and help opposite. Obviously Micah Parsons gives him some versatility, gives him some depth. Dante Fowler isn't the answer. I, they, they needed this guy. And now you got Matt Eberfluss coming in who was with Dallas, remember from 2011-17, linebacker coach. He comes back to Dallas but they, they Ghosten and demarcus Lawrence gone free agents. They bring in Dante Fowler and Peyton Turner. Okay, but this is an upgrade. When he's ready. There's this Eber Fluss cover three heavy team that this is, this is a really good football player. And I told you this, this is going to be the run on these defensive linemen. I, I went back and looked what was it? 26 was the most in the first three rounds. We got to keep track of this when we come back and we'll be here the last five picks of the third round and we'll do a review show live. We're going to take a little break. I can't talk forever. We'll come back, I'll start the thing out. Mensch will finish his duties, come in and we'll, we'll be with you the end of the third round and we'll go as long as it takes to kind of hit on all the important things. But I said to you leading up, I went back and did a study. The last 30 years of the NFL Draft, 26 was the most interior and edge defensive lineman that were ever drafted. Some years there were a lot of edges, some years there were a lot of interior. 26 was the most in the first three rounds, we're headed towards that record. I had 35 guys at those two positions along the defensive line graded with grades in the first three rounds. And, and now, now we're seeing that run. So if I was off even by eight of them, we'll still have a record. And it's going to be reflected here in this, in the second and third round. I want to, I want to talk about this guy before we potentially walk away for a minute. JT Tui Molalao. I've been working on that name. I gave him the number 32 spot on my big board. I just think in a draft where you're looking for starters, that Tui Molalao in the Indianapolis Colts drafted him at 13th overall in this round, 45th overall in the draft. And the Colts, like, you want to just talk value and let's look at the traits, but you want to talk value to get, to get Tyler Warren At 14, no one ever expected it. And to get tui molala at 45 overall, I had him at 32. He was his game elevated in this past year. Okay, I got prospect fatigue. Well, let's go through his trades. I got prospect fatigue early in his career because I first started evaluating him as a prospect back in the summer of 2022. And when you do the same player over and over again, it's like, yeah, I know who he is. I know who he is. Well, guess what? He kept working and grinding and doing everything that you expect a young man to do if you want to be great. And this year it finally, like, he's always been really good. Always. I always had a second round grade on him, like mid late second round. This year, he took it to another level. 22 tackles for loss, 12 and a half sacks. Refined, rugged, relentless is what I wrote. Always around the ball, always shows up. What does that mean? He's one of those instinctive guys that just seems to be in on a lot of plays. Even when he doesn't get the sack or the tfl, he's there and he always shows up. That means every single game you're getting the same thing out of 44. Now he's not the burner off the edge. He's got some little like that initially, so he'll stand you up as an offensive tackle, but then he's got to work off of that. He's not going to flat back in and walk you into the. Into the quarterback. But this is a guy who is a day one starter. Quiddy Pay. You're looking at him at left defensive end. You look at that defensive line, they needed an upgrade. Pay had eight sacks last year. But what is the rest of this group, right? DeForest Buckner. Buckner went healthy but they needed an impact player and now they bring in Tui Molalao from Ohio State and he's going to step in and become a starter right away. I want to stay put for three more picks. Okay? I said we're going to. We're going to show Till shuck, but I wouldn't mind showing till Sanders and the Rams traded away a pick just like the Browns. The theory I had on the Browns the theory I had on the Browns, it's not easy talking this much was that they declared themselves out on the 25 quarterback class and in on 22, 20, 26. I think the Rams did the same thing. Here's a little secret for you. I think. I don't know, but I think the Rams might have been drafting Jackson Dart at 26. I've been told that that might be the case. And so why did the Giants pick to move to 25 and not wait to 27, 28, 29? It wasn't because they were worried about New Orleans to jump them. Apparently they got their guy, Tyler Schuck. They were worried the Rams were going to take him. Okay. And so when Dart came off the board, I think they declared themselves out. Now, I could look like a total jackass right now if they take Shador Sanders and maybe they do. But I think just like the Browns, we're out on this year's class. We'll go get our guy next year. Garrett Nuss Meyer, Lenore Sellers, whomever it may be. And so I'm, I'm staying for three more picks before we take a little break and come back with five picks remaining in the third round. I'm staying because the Rams could go quarterback. There's been a little whisper about Arizona surprising people even with Kyler Murray. And then the Raiders are there. As fanduel told us, the Raiders are the odds on favorite to draft Shador Sanders today ahead of Pittsburgh. And it's in part because Pittsburgh's first pick as it stands right now is at 83 down towards the bottom of the third round. This is not Shador Sanders. I can report Terrence Ferguson. I like this pick a lot for the Rams. See, like the Rams by moving back decided. They decided that we are, we are absolutely out of the quarterback business this year. We'll get back into it next year. Let's defer. Defer payment, right? We're going to defer to next year. Now it's about building with what we have. And now they, they got a pick 46 from the Falcons in that move. And you look at the rest of the pick, the 46 and. And 90 I think is what it is. So. So they pick again at 90, but now they pick Terence Ferguson, the tight end from Oregon. And why do I like this pick? Because you are trying to win now and you do need another weapon. And yeah, you got Tyler Higby, Colby Parkinson. Let's bring in someone with 4 3-463-SPEED. Let's bring somebody in who, who has been reliable and knows how to get open. Let's bring someone in that Matthew Stafford's going to trust. And I think that's exactly what Ferguson is. Okay, I had. Ferguson is the third. No, let's see. Actually, this is a bit of a surprise now that I'm looking at it. Elijah Arroyo, I think because of the durability pass, the history of durability issues still on the board. Ferguson goes ahead of him. But you do that because Ferguson has been the model of consistency. You trust he's going to be there. Started 12 games this past year. 43 catches. 591 average 14, almost 14 yards per catch. Okay. He's got this tall, kind of angular frame. His 463 was the fastest 40 of the tight ends at the combine. His 15610 split was SEC, tied for second fastest. I like it. To me he's accelerate his acceleration, his ability on a lot of like drags and crosses and shorter routes. But I really liked him after the catch he works really well in the slot or the wing, whatever you want to call it. Never going to be an acceptable inline blocker. But that's not. Sean McVay doesn't care. Sean McVay wants a guy he can flex around, he can put in motion, he can do different things with. Okay, Sean McVay needs a weapon and a guy who can create. After the catch, he needs Stafford to get some easy ones that turn a little bit bigger. And that's exactly what Terence Ferguson is going to be. So with Ferguson Going there at pick 46. Pick 47 is a player we've been talking a lot about. I'm just writing in Ferguson. 47 is a pick we've talked a lot about. The player. Will Johnson, cornerback from Michigan you talk about. I mean there's some durability stuff. There's a knee that people are worried about long term and that's why he fell. And listen, in some schemes, in some schemes, Will Johnson doesn't fit. If you're playing that man to man on an island, turn and run, it's not for him. He was running in his, in his workouts. He didn't run a 40 at Michigan. @ the pro day when he was healthy to work out, he did all the other stuff, did all the position drills. He didn't run a 40 because he, when he was, the reports came out he was running like a 4, 5, 84 AZ. Thomas was supposed to, was supposed to be out of Florida State, a first round draft pick. He ran a 4, 5, 8 his pro day and he's still on the board right now. So that, that was concerning for teams. I watched him on tape. Let's start with the negative, the limitations, the negatives, okay? Shorter arms, especially for his frame. He's a tall six 2,194 pound, well put together cornerback, but he's got shorter arms. He's a gambler, he gets lost with his back turned. Here's the deal on him. He's aggressive when his eyes are forward and he's breaking on the ball and he can read the quarterback's eyes. He's an absolute frickin sniper. Okay? He's got great ball skills. Pick sixes against Fresno State. Pick the pocket of MHJ Marvin Harrison Jr. In that Ohio State tape back in 23. There's a lot of plays where you're like, oh, this is my dog right here, I love him. Good. And run support does a lot of things, but when his back's turned and the ball's up in the air, there are some issues. Trade, we got a trade coming in. We'll get to that in a second. Will Johnson though, in this combo scheme and that's what Michigan did, they did combo man zone. They'll protect him, keep his eyes forward, let him play. He plays best with cushion. He's not the guy like you would think, right six two cornerback, Michigan, big physical guy, get him pressed right. He's not that guy. He's an off coverage, give a cushion, read it in front of him and he'll, he will pick Your pocket. And I think that that's what Arizona sees. And so in that with Nick Rallis and obviously Jonathan Gannon, that system, he's a perfect fit. They got a player who was considered by most teams that, that it was scheme friendly, considered him without the injury stuff, top 15. Okay, but you had the 40. You had some of the, you know, back turn, not locating the ball, doesn't have the recovery speed, doesn't fit every scheme. And then you had the injury stuff. And that's why he sat there and sat there and sat there until pick 47. But he was the highest rated player on my board at number, what, 17 overall. 17 overall. And he goes 47 because of the durability stuff to the Arizona Cardinals. So Cardinals fans, you've got to love that pick. So we've got a trade here. Is it Houston Tucker? The Raiders have traded back twice in this round. Fishy. Now they're picking at 58 overall. I don't know. I can go another 12 picks of 58. We'll see. But I don't want to lose everyone. I'm racing back in. How are we doing on this, on this chat, by the way, the live chat? Wow. Wow. We're getting after it, huh? At's calling for Ariante Ursary here. Everyone's calling for Shador Sanders. And then debating that there's no. Hey, hey, Eli Betts. There's no hate for Shador Sanders. I explained this. I explained this. I. He's one of the toughest sons of guns you'll ever see. Fastest processor in this class. Best pure passer in this class. He's just not the biggest. He's not over. He's not mobile. He's not a runner and he has an average arm. He's a late one, early two and there. And he shrunk the. He shrunk the pool himself. He did not have great interviews. They thought the Sanders camp thought he was going to be able to pick and they would decide the organizations that couldn't draft him. That rubs some people the wrong way. His interviews, I told you after the combine, rub some people the wrong way. I like Shador. I want Shador to succeed. I would love to see him in a Stefanski offense. I'd like to see him with, with Las Vegas, learn behind a guy in Geno. He's not the biggest, not the most mobile, doesn't have the biggest arm. He'd be. That would be great for him. Tom Brady's influence. He's worked with Tom Brady as a mentor. He's worked with him in the offseason, worked with, worked with Brady last summer and bring him in a situation where you get a 35 year old starting quarterback who's going to hopefully win a lot of games for you the next year or two and get Shador ready because Tom believes in that. It's one of like the flags that Tom Brady has planted since retiring that he wants to be part of a movement to ensure that quarterbacks coming out of college when they are not being utilized in a pro style program and system as he talks about. Okay and The Raiders got 58 and picked 99 for that trade. So they move back again. I think. Listen, I'm not saying the Raiders are going to take Shador. What I am saying is these are moves that are indicative knowing that Pittsburgh's back there at 83. Let's move back twice. Let's get some more picks so that if we use one of these picks on a quarterback and Shador Sanders who's not going to start for us in the next year or two unless barring an injury with Geno Smith. Let's, let's be smart and let's get some extra picks. In a class I've told you all along. Rounds two through five are stronger this year than in most years. Rounds one, Round one wasn't who was, who was it that called Ursary Put your name back up. Someone I, I mentioned Ursary said Ursary here. That was a good call. Ariante Ursary I think I just saw it. Justin Ta I don't know if he was the one who called it earlier before. He probably was able to tip the pick but we don't do tip in the picks here. But I appreciate everyone being here, truly. That's awesome. And we'll get to some questions tonight when we come back. Five picks remaining and then through, you know, as the, as the draft ends. Stick around with us. We'll review as much as you want to review. We'll get to all, all the pertinent questions. We'll get to all the different stuff. Ariante Ursary okay, Houston, what did I tell you about the Houston Texans? Surprising that what was it the move they moved back at one point or they moved up and they didn't. That's right. They moved up. And wasn't wasn't that the. Yeah, they moved up and took Jaden Higgins. Okay. They moved up and took Jaden Higgins and I love that pick. I know the Patriots did not love that pick. I don't know. But I would assume looking for that big X receiver. So they go get that guy. We talked about Tank Dell being out, talked about opposite Nico Collins, who did miss five games last year. Christian Kirk brought it in the offseason, but it was still kind of looming. Texans fans, you were with me. I know you were. Yeah, but what about this offensive line? We just like basically brought in moving trucks and moved any. Anything and anyone who was related to that offensive line last year, it felt like got shipped out of town, coaches, everything. And so they finally get their guy. They. They were strategic. They. They moved up there. They're going to get their guys at. You were the one at. I see you in the chat. You were the one. All right. Good call on nursery. And you called it before the pick was tipped. So much love. Let me give you a quick on on nursery, big guy. I. I actually liked his tape. There's some. A couple things in the past, like some maturing he's had to do and that's why he fell a little bit. I actually thought he was better than a couple tackles who were already taken ahead of him. I'm just going to admit it. These big guys. Ariante ursary. These big guys. 6, 6, 3, 31 doesn't have the longest arms, 33 and 1 8, but it's probably closer to 34 knowing the combine measurements. These big guys who move well, they don't fail that often. He ran a 501 at 6 6, 331, the fifth fastest of all the offensive linemen. He was significantly bigger than the three others he. Yes, I see. Demetrius Knight. Yes. He's one of my favorite players in this entire draft class. Yes, we'll get to him. With the Cincinnati Bengals, he was the fifth fastest of the offensive lineman and was markedly bigger than the other three, excluding Armand Membu. Okay. He had a 9:3 broad jump, tied for six. Competed in every drill at the combine. I love guys like this. Not afraid to compete. He has the potential to develop into an elite pass blocker. That's what I said. He looks top heavy. It's not always beautiful, but he's got really good quickness, really good knee bend. Really surprised me on tape. One of my favorite players on tape. As I said, there were some reports and things in the past. Mature teams I talked to were comfortable with it now. Okay, here's the deal. Houston fans, I think you might have gotten kind of like an Orlando Brown type. Someone who goes a little bit later than they should have. Orlando Brown Jr. Bengals. Bengals just picked that's where he is, but I think he's a better natural mover. Not as physically dominant, but a better bender and natural mover. I think this guy's just massive and is going to utilize that size, that mobility, that agility at that frame to, to have a very successful career. And Lord knows whether it's a right tackle, left tackle, guard, wherever it winds up being for Houston and, and what, what it is as a rookie might be different than year two and beyond, but that's a great pick for Houston at 40, 48. I mentioned Demetrius Knight. I was sitting on a plane, got Marissa there, got Mensch there. I don't know if I don't have Internet. I didn't have my list in front of me. I knew they had a linebacker at South Carolina, hadn't done his tape, getting caught up. We started this venture in October. I wasn't as far along in all my tape as I normally was and I will be next year. But I saw and I'm watching TJ Sanders, who got drafted earlier in this round, right? I'm watching him on tape and there's Tonka Hemingway right next to him. I think it was 90, 91 their jersey numbers. And I wrote over and over in my notepad because I was on one of those small planes right from Atlanta to Mobile and they don't have WI fi. And so I wrote in my notes, 17. Then I circled it, the exclamation points. Who is this? Who's 17? I wrote it like three times. 17 is Demetrius Knight. He's the guy I was hoping he was. He was the linebacker and he was, I was hoping it wasn't some underclassman that I had to wait a year or two to see in the draft. Four year starting quarterback in high school, Demetrius Knight was, he's, he's the pick for the Cincinnati Bengals. Six year linebacker who spent three and a half years. And by the way, yeah, I said four year starting quarterback in high school, spent three and a half seasons at Georgia Tech, never started a game, but was a three time ACC academic honor roll. One season at Charlotte, finally gets to play on the field. He's like, yo, I've been here all along. First team all conference honors. And you know who noticed that? South Carolina, right? And they were like, let's bring him in, bring him in. 20, 24, he gets to South Carolina. Do you know what he was, you know what happened in the few months that he was there? He was named team captain. This guy's been to Georgia Tech. Charlotte doesn't know Anyone in that locker room. And in a short few months they voted him team captain. It tells you so. We get the smarts. Remember Academic honor roll, all acc academic team captain, productive. Now let's get now. All right. All right, captain, let's see what you got. 10 starts, 13 games, finished second on the team, 82 tackles, eight for loss, two sacks, force three fumbles and picked off a pass. He's got long arms, right? He's got kind of that will linebacker build. Old school six one and a half, 235. But he's got long arms, big hands and very good straight line speed. Just what the reason why I kept circling his name is. He was like shot out of a cannon. He would diagnose quickly and then all of a sudden he would chase these guys down, they'd try to turn the corner. And we're not talking about slouches at Charlotte, we're talking about SEC running backs. And he's cutting him off at the pass and when he gets there, it's whack. Like this guy is violent. He pursues with violent intentions. And he's a former running back and a former quarterback. And you can see it in his instincts. He's got a little tightness, great on a straight line, but you see it with his instincts and understanding offense. And that's why he's really good in coverage. That's why this guy who spent all his time in high school as a quarterback five of the six years, not at, not at South Carolina in the sec, three and a half of them at Georgia Tech, never started a first game. Is a second round draft pick at off ball linebacker, the third off ball linebacker drafted in this class. I just, I love this guy. I love the Bobby Okariki. If you're Looking for an NFL comp, Giants, who's a third round pick, said 525 tackles the last four seasons with the Colts and Giants. That's, that's the, that's the NFL comp for this guy. All right, next pick, pick 50, Elijah Arroyo. One tight end too late as far as I'm concerned. I really like the Ferguson pick, but Elijah Arroyo is different. Seattle. Seattle starting to stack a draft here. Seattle got Gray Zable. Seattle traded up for Nick Eamonwori. And now Seattle, sitting at 50, gets a player that I thought would be off the board, potentially top 40, but I didn't think he'd be here at 50. You want to talk about John Schneider going back to his roots? I said this when they made the trade with Geno and getting the draft picks. I said, everyone needs to remember. And I've known John a long time, 20, 22 years now, back to his days at Green Bay as an area scout. Jim Nagy, who I worked with, who was the executive director of the Senior bowl, also worked with the packers, got to know him there. John's a scout, man. John's an awesome dude. John's a funny dude. But John, like, deep down in his heart, is a scout. He loves evaluating talent. He loves the grind, he loves the tape, he loves pro days. You'll see him at a lot of these things, and it's because he loves unearthing talent. And when he put together that roster, the super bowl roster, it was his first couple years coming out as the gm, when he got the job with Pete Carroll. And he did that by nailing it in the draft. And I don't mean top 10 pick. I mean like second, third, fourth, fifth round, nailing it. And I said to myself, when he decided to trade Geno and to get draft picks, and they entered this with four, five picks in the top 100. And now they've maneuvered around, they still get a bunch of draft picks, but this is all about John getting back to his roots and building from the guts inside out. They got a guard in Gray Zable, who's an immediate starter, who can play all five positions, but is a starter at guard or center. They got the safety, Nick Eamon Warri, who fits exactly what Mike McDonald wants to do and is a big physical presence near the line of scrimmage. Okay, and now they get a tight end, all three, middle of the field, core of the team. They get a tight end who's a weapon. And this is. This should be a theme. Protect Arnold better because they didn't protect at all. They did a terrible job of protecting Geno Smith and. And Darnold was used to being protected pretty well. And Darnold had great weapons. So now two of the top three picks have been utilized, used on that goal of protecting and getting him weapons. And Elijah Arroyo, and I know Nick Scorton just got drafted, but Elijah Arroyo, he. What I love about him, he just kept coming back from injuries. He was limited, played in all 12 games. One star. Is a true freshman. Thought he was going to be an absolute star. Only caught five passes that year, but he was still developing. Then he dealt with two injured, injury reduced seasons, 22 and 23, 20, 24. He finally stays healthy, starts all 13 games, and he ranked fifth on the team in catches. It's Not a huge production, but you saw in the catches down the field seams, big plays, explosive run after the catch. Third in the team in touchdown touchdown catches with seven. Sudden release off the line of scrimmage. Not polished yet like or crisp as an intermediate route runner. But this guy just explodes off the line of scrimmage, gets down the field. Darnold can get him the ball and he's a big target. 65250. Huge catch rate radius. He had one drop on 50 targets all last year. All right. You know the other thing I've said about him in Earmuff's kids? This guy's got some absolute prick in him. Okay. I expected this Miami tight end, they flex him out 765250. Hadn't done much tape on him. He was injured the last two years. I expected to pop in the tape and see this burner who looks beautiful in his pads and can get down the field and make some big catches at the U. That he was like a meh or a sub meh blocker. He might be the toughest son of a gun in this class of the tight end position. Of all the tight ends who have been drafted, he's the best blocker. He is nasty. I mean decleading dudes on crack back bucks, chasing guys down. He loves it. So they just got another like you talk about Zabel, the nastiness, the toughness. Iman worry big 220 pound safety who could play near the line of scrimmage. Presence felt. Elijah Arroyo is going to block his tail off. Okay, I love these picks for John Schneider and Seattle. All right, they're telling me I got a wrap. We gave it a good run. What do we get? 20 picks in. Nick Scorton goes to Carolina. Oh, Femioladejo. My guy from the Senior Bowl. The edge rusher from ucla. Former, former off the ball linebacker. Kicked around, became an edge. He go, he becomes a Tennessee Titan and they need him. Remember Harold Landry. We'll get to the rest of this. I appreciate everyone who's there. Don't I mean go away. Watch the broadcast. We'll be back. The final five picks, we'll jump right back in here, okay? We'll be here for the final five picks. Get things warmed up and the end the first night of the draft together and then we're gonna go live for, I don't know, 30, 30, 40, 50. When I say 45 minutes, we're here usually an hour and a half. We'll, we'll break down everything that was important things that jumped out to us. Mensch will tell us all the know favorite picks of the day, who's doing great. We'll have a nice little review. Okay and then we're back tomorrow at Rosillo's house. I'm pumped for Ros. I got my stopwatch in my bag. We're going to eat his food. We're going to tear his house apart, trash it and leave it cameras and lights crumbs and and he'll be left to watch his NBA playoff games. But we'll be back to tonight to finish up the draft with a review show at the end and tomorrow from 3 to 5pm Eastern Time, that's noon to 3pm Pacific Time to to review the entire draft and just have a blast. To be honest, I'm just psyched to hang with my guy Rossillo in his pad and have a lot of laughs and and break down the the draft and then Sunday we'll do a massive review show all 32 teams deep dive. But that's the schedule I like. I'm blown away by the amount of support and how many people have been on this thing. 75, 000 views they tell me for this little engine that could we love it. We're building something here and you guys are a part of it, the biggest part of it. And I cannot be more grateful. There's no words that I can use to describe my level of gratitude for all of you here. So we will be back tonight. We're going to grind this thing out and hopefully bring you some more good content.
