Donald Trump just led the United States right into a fatal trap that was so obviously being set by Xi Jinping, by Iran, by the BRICS bloc nations. Donald Trump just bought hook, line and sinker Xi Jinping' facade of flattery, sending the little children out there to cheer for Donald Trump. And that's really all it took for Trump and Marco Rubio while they were in Beijing to attack NATO from the soil of Beijing. The fact that I would even utter this statement is shocking, but nothing should shock the conscience under Donald Trump. So you had Trump and Marco Rubio in China, heading to China saying, NATO is no longer really there for us. I mean, the exact quote from Rubio is, I supported NATO because, as though supporting NATO is a thing of the past. I'll show you that in a moment. But you see, part of the fatal trap that was clearly being set by Xi Jinping as the leader of the BRICS nations, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and of course it now includes Iran and other nations, was to basically use this meeting in Beijing and appease Donald Trump because Trump so desperately needed to beg Xi Jinping for help about how do we open up the Strait of Hormuz. And so while this meeting was taking place in Beijing, what was really happening, where the action really was taking place was actually in India where there was a major BRICS bloc meeting that was taking place, where Iran's foreign Minister Aragchi was greeted like a conquering hero there in India, as I'm sure you know because you watch the Midas Dutch network, Donald Trump tossed the relationship with India built over decades in into the garbage. And Donald Trump attacked Modi and tariffed India. And Donald Trump clearly picked sides, choosing Pakistan over India. And that pushed India away, further entrenching India within brics and especially improving relations between India and Russia, India and China. And so you have this meeting taking place in India with the BRICS nations. And do you think that perhaps, I don't know, maybe the State Department, maybe the Defense Department, maybe somebody would say, hey, so while Donald Trump is meeting with Xi Jinping in Beijing, they're doing a BRICS nation where what may come out of that meeting is a statement strongly supporting Iran and strongly condemning the United States. Does anybody want to perhaps check on if that's one of the things that may be going on in the BRICS nation? So while I'll talk more about this BRICS meeting in India in a moment, but then separately, you had a Bucharest 9 summit meeting taking place as well that was attended by Ukraine and numerous NATO countries and I guess the former allies of the United States. And so you have Donald Trump looking for some transactional bailout from Xi Jinping, while the real action is taking place at the Bucharest 9 summit and the BRICS summit in India, where the new global architecture is being shaped. Now, Xi Jinping, in his meeting with Donald Trump referenced something called the Thucydides trap, a term coined by Thucydides about the Peloponnesian War and how the rise of Athens threatened Sparta and ultimately led to a massive war. Xi Jinping basically saying, well, we're the new Athens that's rising. You're Sparta, you're intimidated by our rise. Let's not fall into the Thucydides trap is what Xi Jinping said. In essence, we respect our new chapter where China is the hegemon and the US Is number two or the US Is number three. We have now entered a multipolar as opposed to a unipolar international structure with the strongest pole being China. And that architecture was being drawn. And Donald Trump was too busy sucking up to Xi Jinping, oh, gee, you're so smart. You're so great. You're so great. But what was really going down was look at the action in the BRICS, look at the Bucharest 9. Look at other actions as well, where the United States had to pull out of troops that were committed to Poland because the US Right now is running out of money, running out of resources, running out of munitions. Let's just go through this piece by piece right here. So you had the Iranian social media accounts talking about their foreign minister, Iraqi, the minister of foreign affairs traveling to New Delhi to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers in the BRICS nation with the BRICS nations during the visit, in addition to attending the BRICS foreign ministers meeting, which will be held on Thursday and Friday, May 14 and 15, under India's chairmanship, and with a focus on regional stability, multilateral Cooperation and economic resilience. The Foreign Minister will hold discussions and exchange views with with the Minister of External affairs of India as well as other ministers. The meeting serves as a prelude to the 18th BRICS summit. Now, China and Russia and India and South Africa and others, they built up BRICS as a counterpoint to NATO. Right. So they have this BRICS meeting taking place. And so while that was taking place, what was Marco Rubio talking about? As I said, the fatal trap. Here's Marco Rubio when he's aboard Air Force One talking crap about NATO. Do you see how the architecture is being, is being written right now? You have Rubio demeaning NATO while BRICS is strengthening and while Trump is in Beijing, while Xi Jinping is talking about the Thucydides trap. Watch what Rubio says here. Play this clip. The number one state sponsor terror. That's troubling to me.
C
Yeah. The problem with NATO, and I've been a supporter of NATO throughout my career in the Senate and one of the reasons why I supported NATO was because it gave us basing rights. It allow us to have bases in Europe that we could use in a contingency, like something in the Middle east, you know, where you could have planes flying from some country in Europe and actually protecting our national interests in the Middle east as an example, or in Africa. And so when you have NATO partners denying you the use of those bases, when the primary reason why NATO is good for America is now being denied to us by Spain as an example, then what's the purpose of the alliance? It starts becoming a, you know, their allies when they want to be kind of tiger. And look, to be fair, there are countries in NATO that were very helpful to us. I just singling one out. Portugal. They said yes before we even asked told them what the question was. Poland. So there are countries that Romania, Bulgaria, others like Spain, have been atrocious, just horrifying. So I do think there's some very legitimate questions to ask about NATO and that is what is the purpose of being an alliance whose benefit to us is these basing rights if in a time of conflict like the one we've had with Iran, they can deny us the use of those bases? So why are we there for only to protect them, but not to further our national interest? This is a very legitimate question that we need to address.

Did you know that helping dolphins led to the first essential fatty acid discovery in over 90 years? It's called C15 and it's a total game changer for aging healthier fatty15 co founder Dr. Stephanie Van Watson discovered C15 while working with the US Navy to improve the health of older dolphins. And then Rubio in this very kind of weird sycophantic way then goes, well, you know, it's just so much fun working for Trump because he does things that nobody expects that he's going to do. So much fun working for him. Here, play this clip.
C
So many years. We've had a friendship for so many years.
D
How do you compare this job to
B
everything else you've done?
C
Well, it's quite different, right? The work of a legislator involves constituent service and it involves writing of legislation, committee meetings, oversight. And I enjoyed doing all of that. And it was an important era in our life. This was a very different opportunity. This isn't the executive branch. Here you're actually executing on laws and you're basically you're executing the President's foreign policy. So I enjoy the role, I enjoy the job and I enjoy working for this president because he's willing to do what others talk about but don't do. You know, when you say, well, we can't do that and you'll say, why? That's his question. Why, why can't we do that? Why hasn't this been done before? He is willing to do what others are not willing to do. He is willing to solve unfinished business and not leave it for the next guy or gal. And, and I admire that. And it's a lot of fun to be a part of it, really.
B
I should mention that there was another big meeting taking place as well. I mentioned the Bucharest nine. I mentioned brics. But right before Donald Trump headed to Beijing, also the UK and France chaired a meeting attended by 44 nations not the United States, including non European nations such as Bahrain, Australia, Japan, South Korea and others on building out an international framework to provide security sans no United States. And to take a look right here on what's going on on, on Japanese television, you know, some of the top Japanese programming. And I was looking at this as well, you know, basically says, you know, what Donald Trump wants more than Anything is a G2 arrangement. So you could have US and China aligning through China feeding Donald Trump private deals so that Trump throws out any relationship with Japan because Xi Jinping will just know. Let me try to help Donald Trump personally and some of the top Japanese programs. You know, we're talking about this over and over again. Oh, another important meeting that I should mention before this Trump Beijing meeting and before Aragchi arrived in New Delhi was that the Iranian and Omani delegation held technical legal meetings and in Muscat focused on the Strait of Hormuz and arrangements related to the safe passage of ships, according to Iranian media. And they're talking about confirming the Omani and Iranian sovereign rights to control the Strait of Hormuz, to control the traffic, to control what's above, to control what is below as well. Here's just another image right here of Iraqi arriving at this BRICS meeting. The Iranian Foreign Minister Rog landed in New Delhi for brick. Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa lead it. This is a foreign minister level meeting and Iran is expected to push for a joint statement from the Chinese led economic bloc in support of Iranian interest. As I noted before, the US army also abruptly canceled the planned deployment of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division, more than 4,000 soldiers to Poland. Officials gave no public explanation. The class report explains, though reports point to a major army budget shortfall tied to ongoing operations and deployments. The brigade had already begun preparations with some personnel and equipment reportedly en route. Falling right into the fatal trap. We know what was going on there. The same way the Trump regime remove 5,000 troops and they're going to remove more from Germany, 4,000 from Poland. Right, Poland. Where is it located? Right by Ukraine. Why is it significant? Because that's exactly where Russia would go next. What's the message being sent here? We're going to. Do you see that? Donald Trump is signal. I'm giving you my opinion, but it seems obvious to me. Donald Trump goes to China. Xi Jinping bows to Xi Jinping, submits to Xi Jinping Thucydides trap. He sends the signal to Putin. I'm not going to send those additional troops to Poland. Why? Because it's on the eastern flank, closest to Ukraine, closest to where Russia's broader European conquest ambitions are. Trump removed 5,000 troops, 5,000 troops from Germany. China projecting strength. Trump projecting weakness. And then just to remind you, here's Donald Trump telling Xi Jinping what a powerful leader he is. Play this clip. You're a great leader. I say it to everybody. You're a great leader. Sometimes people don't like me saying it, but I say it anyway because it's true. I only say the truth. Here's Xi Jinping talking about the Thucydides trap and that we're in this time of great economic turmoil, this time of great global reordering. Restructuring architecture is what we're talking about. Play this clip. Currently, transformation not seen in a century
A
is accelerating across the globe. And the international situation is fluid and turbulent. The world has come to a new crossroads. Can China and the United States overcome the Thucydides trap?
B
And if you've been watching the Midas touch network, you know, we've been talking about how these Middle east countries that were previous allied with the United States are talking about new security architectures. You know, whether it's Saudi Arabia, whether it's Qatar, you know, when you hear those who are at liberty to speak or when you hear some of the information that leaks out, it's clear that everybody basically recognizes the US Security umbrella in the Middle east is done, the US Security umbrella in Asia is done, which leaves Taiwan very vulnerable right here. And Xi Jinping laid down the law right before Donald Trump even arrived in Beijing, saying, we're not talking about Taiwan. Don't even bring it up. It's not even subject to the conversation. Don't threaten us with tariffs. Don't even bring it up. It's not even part of the conversation that we're going to be. That we're going to be having right here. So that's the latest of everything, right? This is where we're at. We'll keep you posted every step of the way. Now hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million subscribers. But you know, this is, oh, I guess one more thing. Let me, let me mention quickly here before I go. I think it's important as well. So you have Ukraine training what's left of NATO on drone warfare. Ukrainian drone pilots were invited to train NATO, what's left of it. Right. Because the US doesn't enforcing Article 5 anymore to train NATO forces in Sweden and to deliver a critical message to the alliance, they ran these war games. Ukraine was able to once again wipe out basically all of NATO's forces with the Ukrainian drones right away. Right away. That's why you have all these Middle east nations not going to the US Anymore. They're cutting deals with Ukraine because Ukraine has the drone technology, the anti drone interceptors, they know how to use the FPVs, the first person viewing drones, the unmanned vessels that they have, you know, that they utilize. And so us weaker than ever. Ukraine gaining strength. Obviously China recognizes the global hegemon right now. Trump basically submitting before our eyes. Let me know what you think. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million subscribers. Thank you everybody for watching.

Episode Title: All Hell Breaks Loose as World Sets Fatal Trap for Trump!!!
Release Date: May 14, 2026
Hosts: Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas
In this episode, the Meiselas brothers break down the rapidly shifting global landscape and discuss how former President Donald Trump, now back in the international spotlight, has fallen into a geopolitical "fatal trap" set by China, Iran, and the BRICS nations. The hosts analyze Trump’s controversial trip to Beijing alongside Marco Rubio, Trump's alienation of traditional allies, and the implications of the U.S. military’s recent withdrawals from key positions in Europe, all within the context of rising BRICS influence and NATO’s diminishing cohesion. The tone is informed, urgent, and characteristically laced with sharp commentary and humor.
| Timestamp | Speaker | Notable Quote/Exchange | |-----------|-------------|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 00:38 | Ben | "Donald Trump just bought hook, line and sinker Xi Jinping's facade of flattery..." | | 01:25 | Ben (re: Rubio) | "I supported NATO because, as though supporting NATO is a thing of the past." | | 07:45-09:01 | Marco Rubio | “The problem with NATO... what is the purpose of the alliance?... Can China and the United States overcome the Thucydides trap?” | | 17:30 | Ben | “Ukraine was able to once again wipe out basically all of NATO's forces with the Ukrainian drones right away.” |
The episode is urgent, sardonic, and deeply critical of the Trump administration’s approach to foreign policy. The hosts mix news analysis with pointed humor and incredulity at the unfolding international situation, continually stressing the dire consequences of Trump’s missteps and the rapid reordering of global power structures.
This episode sounds an alarm about the US’s waning influence on the global stage amid a “fatal trap” engineered by China, Russia, Iran, and the expanded BRICS coalition. With Trump alienating traditional allies, ceding ground to adversaries, and shrinking America’s military footprint in Europe, the Meiselas brothers argue that the multipolar order is being established while the US leadership flounders. The situation leaves US partners reconsidering their alliances, NATO’s role in question, and innovation shifting eastward—with Ukraine, ironically, now at the leading edge. The brothers’ verdict: what’s unfolding is nothing short of historic, and almost impossible to believe absent direct observation.
