Uh oh, Maga Mike Johnson, the Republican speaker of the House, it seems like he was just hit by an avalanche of nightmare news and he's not handling it well. I want you to watch just his response to what took place in the past 2412 hours even or so. So Maga Mike got hit with the news that these 20,000 emails of Jeffrey Epstein were released. And no Maga Mike, no one's cherry picking. The more you look through that batch of 20 Epstein emails, the more devastating it is for Donald Trump. I mean, horrific, horrific stuff that we've covered in detail here on the Midas Touch network. And then of course, the discharge petition was signed by Adelit Degree Halva, the 218th signature. That means the Epstein file release will go for a vote before the full House of Representatives. And Maga Mike's gonna have to put it up for a vote. And now we're learning there could be as much as 30, 40, perhaps even 50 defections of MAGA Republicans who will now be voting with the Democrats to release the Epstein files. Yeah, the 20,000 emails that were released yesterday are not the files as devastating. Damaging, catastrophic for Trump. Those emails are. That's not even the worst stuff. The worst stuff is in the files. And there's terabytes and terabytes of documents and Maga Mike is terrified and terrified of the terabytes and the terabytes. Just watch Maga Mike yesterday. Let me just show you a few of these clips. So you have Maga Mike is like, all right, all right, but look, we've been very productive. Isn't this Congress the most productive Congress ever? Aren't we so productive? Dude, you haven't even worked. You said people on vacation for like the last 100 days. You've worked 12 of the last 100 days. But go ahead, Maga Mike. You think we're going to get distracted by your work ethic? Play this clip.
B
We're going to deliver for the American people as we have been doing. I'll leave you with this thought. There's a split screen in America right now. There's a split screen on one side of the screen. You have President Trump and the Republican majorities in the Congress and the Senate and the House doing the work for the American people. Look what we've achieved in the first 10 months of this year. It's. You can make an argument that it's the most productive season for a new Congress and a new presidency, a new administration, at least in the modern era, maybe of all time.
A
And then Maga Mike's like, look, look, look. In response to a question about. You said you wanted full transparency. So why did you have to Thomas Massie, Republican and Democratic Congressmember Ro Khanna to even do this discharge petition. Why not bring this for a vote in the first place? And Maga Mike, this guy's such a scumbag. He's such a liar. He's like, okay, okay, look, look, look, look. We did it for the victims. The way the discharge petition read it hurts the victims. So we're just trying to save the victims. No, you are covering up for a child sex trafficking ring, the ppp, the Pedo Protection program and you, so you can hold up that Bible of yours, but we all know what you are doing. Maga Mike here, play this clip.
B
Full transparency.
A
So why not just urge all your Republicans to vote for this Massey karma bill on the Epstein files next week. Put on all the files. Let the American public judge for themselves what we are.
B
Thank you for asking the question. We have been for maximum transparency of the Epstein files from the very beginning. What I was opposed to is the reckless disregard that was used in drafting the discharge petition. And we've been over this many times, but it was not drafted into such a way that it would adequately protect innocent victims. We have a responsibility to do that. There's many as a thousand women, by some estimates, of people who have been victimized because of the sex trafficking and Epstein and all these horrendous, heinous crimes. And we can't have them subjected to any further harm. So we wanted to make sure that they were properly. Whose names were properly redacted out of the files. But the discharge petition is not only reckless, is also a totally moot point. The Oversight Committee has been working, as you all know, around the clock working on this. And you have some of the toughest members of Congress on the Republican and Democrat side who are working in bipartisan fashion to go through and release those files. As we stand here tonight. I think it's, we're up to over 50,000 pages of records that are out in the open. You can go online tonight if you're at home and go through it yourself. And the Epstein estate files thus far has been the biggest tranche of important information. We found that outside of the scope of the discharge petition, because it was never even anticipated or included in the discharge. The Oversight Committee. Well, let me finish, Let me finish. The Oversight Committee has been digging into that, and some of the most valuable information was in the estate files. It includes just Jeffrey Epstein's own personal logs, his travel logs, his financial ledgers, his daily calendar. All this is now out in the public, and more is to come. Chairman Comer of the Oversight Committee has done an extraordinary job. You have, again, some of the most notable members in Congress working on that around the clock. And they will continue to have full disclosure again, like this.
A
MAGA Mike. Like they think we're stupid, huh? Like they just think that we're stupid. We're not. We know what you're up to. Then you have MAGA Mike saying, look what Donald Trump's really been focused on. He's been working around the clock to mitigate the pain of the American people. MAGA Mike Donald Trump filed emergency motions with the Supreme Court demanding they deprive Americans of their SNAP benefits. He said, Please, Judge, please, Supreme Court deprive 42 million Americans of their SNAP benefits. And also, the whole reason for this shutdown is that you and Donald Trump want to rip away Healthcare from 20 million Americans. You're taking away the Affordable Care act subsidies which make healthcare unaffordable, so people will lose their insurance. And when they don't have insurance and they get sick, they die, and blood is on your hands. MAGA Mike here, play this clip and.
B
We'Ll be talking with the team. The president, as you know, has bent over backwards through this entire ordeal. In the longest shutdown in US History, he worked around the clock every day to mitigate the pain, to reduce the pain as much as possible for the people. They found creative ways to get the troops paid to keep Women, Infants and Children nutrition programs going and all the rest. And so you'll see that same level of fervor. The entire cabinet, the entire administration, is going to work around the clock to get the government open and operational again as quickly as possible. They'll do that as fast as we can. And of course, we'll give them every aid and assistance that we can out of the House and the Senate.
A
So MAGA Mike's like, but you trust us, right? We have. We have so many good ideas on health care. What are your ideas? Destroy Obamacare. Then what? Then what happens? What is, what's Donald Trump's idea? Give people $2,000 and say, buy your health care? What does that even mean? What is that? What, what is this? That doesn't even make any sense. And you're not even giving the $2,000 you've been promising $5,000 doge checks. What happens when someone requires a surgery that, I don't know, say is $3,000? That's more than 2,000, by the way. I know you and Trump can't do math. What if it's 10,000? What if it's 50,000? What if it's a million dollars? Because that's sometimes what surgeries cost. Is that $2,000? Check. Maga Mike, is that your plan? Is that your volumes of ideas here? Play this clip.
B
Who are you going to trust to fix health care? It's the Republican Party, because we have volumes of ideas on how to do this, on how to fix it, on how to drive costs down and how to increase access to care and quality of care. And you're going to see all that vigorous debate.
A
So then Maga Mike here says. Well, because he's asked the question. So will you guarantee a vote on extending the Affordable Care act subsidies? Because the Senate says that they're going to take up a vote, but the Republicans are not going to vote for it. Okay, so Maga Mike, are you going to allow for a vote here? Play this clip.
B
The answer to your question is, am I going to guarantee a vote on ACA unreformed Covid era subsidies? That is just a boondoggle to insurance companies and robs the taxpayer. We got a lot of work to do on that. The Republicans would demand a lot of reforms before anything like that was ever possible. And we have to go through that deliberative process.
C
Okay, let's talk about something we all deal with. Bad hair days. But what if those bad hair days could become a thing of the past? A
Then Maga Mike says, why isn't anybody in the press writing about how we put forward the discharge petition for unanimous consent and the Democrats blocked it. Like he's like making up some story that the Democrats blocked their own discharge petition. Like, you think we're stupid. The Democrats didn't block the release of the Epstein, you're the one blocking it. The Democrats are the one pushing for it. Like again, you think you're going to like, trick us with this stuff? Like, he thinks again, he treats people like they're dumb. MAGA mush brain. Here, play this clip.
B
I want to say this tonight, and I think this is a shame to a lot of the Hill press corps. I'm not going to name any of you by name, but I haven't seen many stories written yet about the fact that we put the discharge up for unanimous consent on the floor tonight. The Republicans, I, the Speaker and the Republicans asked for unanimous consent to just go ahead and pass the discharge because I think it's a moot point. The Democrats objected to the, to the unanimous consent. Nobody's written a story about that that's stunning to me. How can you miss that? If it was about transparency, if it was about full disclosure, there's two questions you should ask every Democrat in the House and Senate. Why didn't you bring this up during the four years of the Biden administration when the Biden DOJ had all these records the entire time, nobody ever said a word about it. They didn't care. Now it's the biggest thing in the world. Didn't matter at all when Joe Biden had the files. And secondly, if they're for transparency and they really want all this to be out and there's such this urgency, then why did they vote down the unanimous consent to pass the discharge petition Tonight, I can't answer that question, but they should, and every one of you should ask them about it. Yes.
A
And hey, Maga Mike, what about the provision in the continuing resolution that was snuck in where these Republican senators have now said that they have a claim that they've drafted a law claiming that they've suffered because their phone number showed up in a subpoena by Special Counsel Jackson? They weren't eavesdropped on. No one wiretapped him. No one heard what they were saying. Their phone number showed up because they were speaking with Trump around the January 6th insurrection. And they built into this continuing resolution is that at a minimum, they can be damaged $500,000 that the government, that taxpayers have to pay the Republican senators because they claim they've suffered emotional damage and injury because their names appeared on subpoena because of their connection to the January 6th insurrection. And this was in the legislation. So they're all going to make like a million bucks off of us. We're funding, we're paying them a million dollars based on a phony claim. So, Maga Mike, what do you say about that, Maga Mike? And Maga Mike's like, well, I didn't get any commitment from the Republican leader of the Senate, Senator Thune. But like, I was upset that he did it. Aw, shucks. I'm Maga Mike. Oh, shucks. Here, play this clip.
B
You said earlier that you would repeal.
D
That FBI provision that's in the bill right now. Do you have assurances from Leader Thune that he will bring it up in the Senate?
B
Well, I did call Leader Thune this morning. I want to say that he is a, he's a principal leader. I've enjoyed working with him. We've got a great working relationship and a good friendship. He's a trustworthy, honest broker. And that's why I was so surprised when we found out about that provision. It was put in our clean CR at the last moment. I'm just be honest. I'm very transparent with you all. I was very angry about it. I was. And a lot of my members called me and said, did you know about it? We had no idea. That was dropped in at the last minute. And I did not appreciate that, nor did most of the House members. Many of them are very, are very angry about that. So we will be bringing that up. We'll probably pass it on suspension early next week and we'll send it over to the Senate. I had a conversation with Leader Thune early this morning about it. I think he regretted the way it was done, and we had an honest conversation about that. I didn't ask him for any commitment at that time because I had a lot on my plate today, and I've been busy ever since that, that conversation we had early this morning. But I'm going to speak as truthfully to him as I am to all of you and tell you that I think that was way out of line. I don't, I don't think that was a smart thing to do. I think it's the right thing to do, and the House is going to reverse it. We're going to repeal that, and I'm going to expect our colleagues in the Senate to do the same thing.
A
Lindsey Graham, who's going to be making $1 million off of us, like, literally paid himself. He's going to pay himself $1 million of our taxpayer dollar. Here's what he has to say about the lawsuits that he's now going to filing because he created a law for himself. Here, play this clip.
B
Filing a lawsuit, oh, definitely. And if you think I'm going to sell this thing for a million dollars.
E
No, I want to make it so painful.
B
No one ever does this again.
A
Here was MAGA Mike just kind of running through the halls of the Capitol when he was asked about the concerns. Do you have Donald Trump's name being like, I don't know, like, all over these emails and like, not flattering ways, like in disgusting and grotesque ways. And MAGA Mike's like, nah, I just think it's a massive distraction.
C
Here.
A
Play this clip.
B
I don't, I think it's all been explained. I think this is a massive distraction by the Democrats while we're trying to get the government reopened and cover for their mistakes. And I, I find it interesting that the press corps didn't ask all these questions for four years during the vitamin.
A
The President wanted all these documents out. Why not release all these documents now?
B
He is for ma. He's for maximum transparency. He said it as recently as a couple of days ago, and I talked to him about it today. For everything coming out, the provision that.
F
You just said that you're going to.
A
Have a suspension to repeal next week.
B
Did you know that that provision was. No, I found out about it last night. I was surprised. I was shocked by it and I was angry.
A
Now, contrast MAGA Mike right there to Democratic leaders like the Democratic ranking member on the Rules Committee, Congressmember McGovern. Play this clip.
G
What the hell is wrong with them? While regular people are struggling to pay bills, Donald Trump's Net worth has gone up by $3 billion since he became president. People's health insurance premiums are doubling and tripling. But Republicans say there is no affordability crisis, even as their tariffs are costing people an extra 1200 bucks per year. Regular people can't afford the rent. And Republicans are letting Trump gild his bathroom and build a ballroom to host the rich and powerful elites who own the GOP. These guys are bailing out Argentina. Argentina. They're giving $40 billion to an entirely different country rather than helping the 42 million Americans who can't afford to put food on the table. And here's the clincher, Mr. Speaker. Buried in this CR is a corrupt kickback for eight Republican senators. A million dollar payday funded by taxpayers, taken straight from the treasury and deposited directly into their pockets. What the hell is wrong with this place? They promised to put America first. The only thing you guys put first is yourselves, yourselves, and the rich and powerful people who pull your strings behind the scenes.
A
Or Congresswoman aoc. Play this clip.
D
It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give eight members of the United States Senate over a million dollars apiece. And we are robbing people of their food assistance and of their health care to pay for it. How is this even on the floor? How can we as members of Congress, Republican or Democrat, vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people? That is what this legislation does. In fact, Senator Graham just went before the press earlier today saying he was going to seek well over a million dollars from the American people from this. We cannot support it and we cannot stand for it. Thank you.
A
And now MAGA Mike has to deal with GOP defections like Don Bacon, Republican from Nebraska here. Don Bacon says he's going to vote yes once this discharge petition ripens. And we think that there's going to be 50 to 60 other Republicans who will vote this way to release the files. Play this clip.
F
Thank you so much. And just to just to be clear, I want to make sure I heard you correctly. You will be voting yes on releasing the Epstein files if it makes it to the floor and you believe it will.
E
If it goes on the floor, I get a lot of pushback. Why don't you put your discharge petition and I'll just going to be subtle in my response. Just look at all the. The Republic. The few Republicans are on it and who they are. I just. It's going to come on the floor. I will vote yes.
A
And here's Representative Bacon again saying that what Maga Mike was, what Trump did and what Maga Mike's doing. This cover up of the Epstein files is a massive PR nightmare. Here, play this clip.
F
There are a lot of folks out there, a lot of folks, and there are people who voted for Donald Trump who want to see everything, who just aren't. If there is nothing there and there is nothing bad, as you know, people have claimed they just want to see it all. I wonder though, given the emails that you saw today, do you and the birthday book and the images of Donald Trump with Epstein, do you have any discomfort about his relationship with him or what he may have known?
E
I think he even himself admits that he had a relationship with Epstein and then realized he was a bad character and then evicted him out of Mar a Lago. What else there is, I'm not sure. I am for transparency. I do think this was our disaster for the White House. When you tell everybody you're going to release everything that you have, the names of all the clients and then you, then you come back to, oh, there was none. This was a self inflicted wound by the White House and how they handled this. And I think they've dug themselves a hole. But in the end, I'm for transparency. We should, everything should be out other than the victim's names. For that we're getting results already without the discharge petition is what I would like to really convey here.
F
Yeah, I mean, listen, the subpoena to the estate is what, what got these emails today.

The MeidasTouch Podcast: "MAGA Mike Is Terrified in Public as His Own GOP Defects"
Date: November 13, 2025
Hosts: Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas
In this explosive episode, the Meiselas brothers break down a disastrous stretch for Republican Speaker of the House "MAGA Mike" Johnson. The episode centers on mounting GOP defections over the release of the Epstein files, Johnson’s attempts to shift blame and cover for Trump, and outrage over recent legislative sneak attacks that would see Republican Senators pocketing taxpayer money. The brothers combine serious reporting with their signature blend of humor and righteous indignation, highlighting key moments of embarrassment and evasion from "MAGA Mike," and contrasting Republican spin with calls for transparency and justice from Democrats.
Ben Meiselas (01:05): “MAGAMike is terrified and terrified of the terabytes and the terabytes."
MAGA Mike (03:46): "We have been for maximum transparency... What I was opposed to is the reckless disregard that was used in drafting the discharge petition... it would not adequately protect innocent victims."
Ben Meiselas (05:42): “They think we're stupid, huh? They just think we're stupid. We're not.”
Ben Meiselas (07:06): “What is Trump’s idea? Give people $2,000 and say, buy your health care? What does that even mean?”
MAGA Mike (07:53): “Who are you going to trust to fix health care? It’s the Republican Party, because we have volumes of ideas..."
MAGA Mike (10:27): "The Democrats objected to the unanimous consent... If it was about transparency... why did they vote down the unanimous consent?"
Lindsey Graham (14:20): “Filing a lawsuit, oh definitely. And if you think I’m going to sell this thing for a million dollars... I want to make it so painful no one ever does this again.”
AOC (17:06): “It is unconscionable... we are robbing people of their food assistance and of their health care to pay for it… How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?”
McGovern (15:42): “What the hell is wrong with them?... The only thing you guys put first is yourselves.”
Rep. Don Bacon (18:24): “It’s going to come on the floor. I will vote yes [on releasing the Epstein files]."
The hosts’ tone remains unapologetically irreverent and combative, blending detailed news breakdown with biting sarcasm, genuine outrage, and caustic humor. Democratic quotes add moments of moral clarity, while Republican defenses are lampooned or directly challenged.
This episode is a comprehensive takedown of "MAGA Mike" Johnson by the Meiselas brothers as his grip on his party slips amid scandal, defectors, and legislative scandals. The show champions transparency, blasts Republican spin, and gives voice to frustrated lawmakers and the public alike, providing listeners with not just a review of the week's political turmoil, but actionable outrage and a call for accountability.
