Obama is getting his final revenge on Donald Trump As Donald Trump's term is collapsing, former President Obama is now speaking out louder than ever before. Of course we know about the opening of Obama's presidential library in Chicago. We covered that here on the Midas Touch Network. But I want to talk about the final revenge Obama has been getting all week, even following the opening of the Obama Presidential Library. What has Obama been highlighting as Donald Trump is flailing, as Donald Trump is cognitively and physically deteriorating before our eyes, ranting and raving like a lunatic about Obama, Obama, Obama. Former President Obama's big highlight from the opening of his presidential library was this line right here, quote, a belief that our military and law enforcement owe allegiance not to any president or political party, but to the people and our Constitution. President Obama this is a warning. This is a message to our military saying, we know that Donald Trump, the dictator, the authoritarian, the failed dictator and authoritarian, is going to try to entrench himself into power forever. Why else is he building himself golden ballrooms and doing what he's doing to the White House in D.C. and Obama is reminding everybody that this opening of the presidential library is not just about the library. It is a rallying call about the fight that we all are gonna have to make over the next two years to ensure that we save, protect, defend our democracy. We've done a good job holding the line, but Obama is calling on us, I believe, to do something more profound in holding the line in the future in response to this authoritarian regime. He also posts the following. The exhibits focus not just on policies, but on the shared values that make democracy possible, a belief in the intrinsic dignity and worth of people and that no one is above the law or beneath its protection. I believe in checks and balances in our government and an accountability that comes with an independent judiciary and a robust free press. Powerful words indeed, right there and again. We focused a lot on Obama's speech, but how about what Obama was saying, you know, afterwards in the interview with NBC? It was powerful words. Here's what he was saying about this moment that we are going through right now, this period of disruption and polarization, but how fundamentally our country is not Trump. Our country is made up of actually good people. Donald Trump is dividing us. This is a rallying call, folks. Here, play this clip.
Barack Obama (clip)
There's no doubt that we are going through a period right now of disruption, polarization that's caused, I think, people to feel as if our democracy, our civic habits and virtues, our shared understanding of how we treat each other has started to crumble. On the other hand, when I travel across the country today, not just when I was president, you still see that sense of decency with people. You still see folks helping each other and looking out for their neighbors.
Political Commentator
And then what former President Obama talks about are the letters that he received and how this is not a monument to himself. This is a living, breathing presidential library that's all focused on unifying the people. Listen to what he says here.
Barack Obama (clip)
I used to tell my staff, you run elections and get elected, but the end point is, are you delivering something to make the lives of folks a little bit better? Who sent you? And those letters reminded me of that. Some of my favorite letters were from Republicans who would say, I didn't vote for you. I don't agree with anything you're doing, but you seem like a good dad and I appreciate that and what that video that you just showed me speaks to. I hope when people come here, they're not just fixated on some speech I'm giving, not just fixated on Michelle's dresses. More than anything, as you've seen in these exhibits, you'll hear the voices of the American people. And that, I think, will give you encouragement that makes you feel that the idea of America as a multiracial, multi ethnic, multi religious, raucous, noisy democracy, that that can work. I think their voices are what makes you feel confident in the future.
Political Commentator
And here's what he talks about moving the country forward. Let's play this.
Barack Obama (clip)
But I really am hoping that it's less an act of nostalgia and that it's more an inspiration for us moving forward to get a sense of. All right. This was a small chapter in America's ongoing journey to perfect his union.
Political Commentator
He also mentioned, of course, how Donald Trump got us involved in this catastrophic and unlawful war. And ultimately this so called memorandum of understanding happening puts us in a worse place than the JCPOA that former President Obama negotiated. Let's play this clip.
Barack Obama (clip)
What do you make of what we know about the deal so far? I am very happy to see a ceasefire and I'm hopeful that it holds. But in terms of what was the original rationale for this war, which was there was a deal in place in which Iran had agreed not to develop nuclear weapons. This administration, or a prior version of this administration, pulled out of it. Which caused then Iran to develop more nuclear capacity. We've now fought a war, spent billions and billions of dollars, you know, put enormous strain on our military. A lot of people have died. And it feels like we're back where we were before we started the war, except maybe a little bit worse.
Political Commentator
And what I like also is that as part of this rollout of the presidential library, all the people who Donald Trump seeds over, all the people who Donald Trump is so jealous and hate, they all gave interviews around the opening of this library. And, you know, Obama was instrumental in helping to coordinate this, to call out Donald Trump, to put the dagger in Donald Trump. So you have Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the House, talk about how Obama's deal with Iran was a masterpiece in diplomacy. Here, play this clip.
Nancy Pelosi (clip)
Well, I think it relates to his own failures. You have to understand. Well, you do understand, but the public should understand that the Obama nuclear agreement with Iran was a masterpiece of diplomacy. To remember that we brought in all the countries, the EU, all G20 countries, all over the world, including Russia and China. Russia and China. So to have this virtuoso performance of having an agreement on nuclear, to do so in a way that withstood the scrutiny, the review of it all by so many people, and to have. And then it was a success.
Ron Filipkowski
Look, I don't mind a dad bod, but with summer coming up in just a couple months, I've been thinking about getting into better shape this summer, just a little bit better shape. The problem is that my body doesn't just snap back into shape like it did in my 20s. As men get older, our bodies reprogram themselves. We naturally start, you know, storing more fat and losing muscle faster. And then the main reason for this is testosterone. Most men's testosterone levels start dropping as early as their 30s. When that happens, it becomes easier to gain fat, especially around your stomach. And here's the frustrating part. The more body fat you gain, the more your body actually converts testosterone into estrogen, which makes it even easier to gain more fat. So it can turn into a really tough cycle for a lot of guys. That's why I started taking Mars Men. Mars Men is a natural supplement designed to support healthy testosterone levels, which can help your body burn fat more efficiently and build lean muscle. When your hormones working the way they're supposed to, a lot of things can get easier. Workouts, energy, even staying lean. It's basically helping your body get back to running like it did years ago. No weird stimulants or synthetic hormones, just a real natural ingredients that support healthy T levels, weight management and exercise performance and the quality is legit. It's made in the USA and every batch is third party tested. Since taking Mars Men, I've had way more consistent energy, stronger lifts and better focus. Also, I love that it comes with a 90 day money back guarantee so there's no risk. Worst case, you don't absolutely love it, you'll get your money back. And just remember what Donald Trump was saying at the G7. You know, you know the Iranians, they laughed at Obama and they said he's a stupid son of a bitch. Do you see the contrast, though, that's being highlighted right now before these midterms between dignity and strength and what America's values are really about? And this Trump trash, this Trump cesspool here. Listen to what Trump said just so you can see for yourself of it.
Donald Trump (clip)
Like, oh my, look at this money he's giving us. He tried to bribe his way out. I didn't do that. Nobody mentions that. 1.7 billion and hundreds of millions of dollars. They tried to bribe their way out of it. And you know what the Iranians did? They laughed at Obama and they said he's a stupid son of a bitch. Okay, thank you very much.

And I think about the ufc. Those UFC fighters were like, Michelle Obama's a man. This is what Obama was calling out. And he didn't have to point or say names. He just called out, remember what the UFC fighter said. Play this clip.

And lastly, Michelle Obama is a man.

Then you had California Governor Gavin Newsom at the event again, talking about how we should all we didn't realize how much we missed a leader like Obama, but we need to remember that. Listen to what he says here at
Event Speaker / Interviewee
Play this clip on contrast today. I mean, I walked up, a couple of people said when they walked upstairs, they said they were crying the whole time. And I looked at him, I said, I'm good. Got up there, literally started tearing up. And I think Everybody feels that spirit and that pride that we've been missing. And we didn't even realize how much we've been missing it. And we've been missing it because of the missingness. We've been missing it because we have people that frankly, are unworthy of their positions. And there we saw on stage people that were worthy of what our founding fathers lived and died for.

More from Nancy Pelosi right here.
Nancy Pelosi (clip)
We tore up a good agreement. We went to war. We lost American lives, sadly. But we have something that is costing taxpayers enormous amounts of money to make, to give to Iran and paying individually at the pump. At the pump. And this is really something that has hit home hard for people because it cost a lot. It costs nearly, you know, 75, $80 to fill their cars in a week's time. So they're feeling it. Personally, we've suffered from it. The people of Iran have suffered from it. And he just can't face the fact that President Obama had a far superior success with all of that then former President Biden.
Political Commentator
He rolled out this incredible interview with Jay Leno talking about alliances, the importance of NATO and how, you know, how Biden says, you know, even some of the less crazy Republicans, because the crazy Republicans and these crazy magas, they're basically traitors. But even the less crazy ones seem to not fully appreciate the importance of alliances. Like wake the hell up, people. This was all a massive wake up call. Play this clip.
Event Speaker / Interviewee
Made us a hell of a lot more secure, strong. Look, the one thing that really bothers me about where many of my Republican friends are, even the ones aren't crazy, is they really underestimate the value of alliances.
Podcast Host
Right?
Event Speaker / Interviewee
The reason why we're so secure is because of NATO, for God's sake. Yeah, attack on one's, attack on all. What happened 9, 11, who's the first guys that came to NATO, right?
Political Commentator
And do you remember the grifter, the fraudster. And we know he is right now, but Donald Trump from 2011 when he would say Obama's gonna start a war with Iran cuz he can't do deals and he's weak and ineffective here. Play this clip.
Donald Trump (clip)
Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He's weak and he's ineffective. So the only way he figures that he's going to get reelected and as sure as you're sitting there, is to start a war with Iran. Now, I'm more militant and more militaristic than the president. I believe in strength. But to start a war in order to get elected, and I believe that's going to happen, would be an out.
Political Commentator
Then. I like that the Obama foundation released this video of former President Obama putting on a Presidential Medal of Honor on NBA players, but showing that he can do it pretty easily. Remember how much Donald Trump struggled to do the Congressional Medal of Honor? It was so humiliating. But here's Obama. Play this clip. And then finally, Obama posted this video of himself with kids at the Presidential at the Chicago Library. That's within the Presidential Library, the reading room where kids can come and people in the community come and read at a library within the library. I'll show you a few seconds.
Event Speaker / Interviewee
Evan, let's play it. Hi, guys.

Hosts: Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas (MeidasTouch Network)
This special episode covers former President Barack Obama’s high-profile re-emergence as he issues a direct warning about Donald Trump amidst ongoing political upheaval. At the grand opening of his presidential library in Chicago, Obama delivers not only a retrospective of his accomplishments but also a call to action to defend democracy, particularly aimed at the military and the American public as Trump faces growing turmoil and legal troubles. The brothers and their guests provide analysis, context, and candid contrasts between the Obama and Trump eras, interweaving excerpts from recent interviews, speeches, and media appearances to paint a vivid portrait of the nation’s current crossroads.
[02:55 – 05:48]
Obama uses the library opening as a platform to warn about authoritarianism, emphasizing that loyalty should be to the Constitution, not to any president or party.
Quote:
“A belief that our military and law enforcement owe allegiance not to any president or political party, but to the people and our Constitution.”
— Barack Obama (via Political Commentator paraphrase) [03:23]
Commentary suggests this is a deliberate message to military and law enforcement ahead of what Obama and others perceive as autocratic threats from Trump.
[05:48 – 07:54]
Obama’s NBC interview is highlighted, stressing that while America faces disruption and polarization, decency and neighborliness persist among everyday citizens.
Quote:
“There's no doubt that we are going through a period right now of disruption, polarization... our shared understanding of how we treat each other has started to crumble. On the other hand... you still see that sense of decency with people.”
— Barack Obama [05:48]
Obama frames the presidential library not as his monument, but as a living institution celebrating diverse American voices.
Quote:
“I hope when people come here, they're not just fixated on some speech I'm giving... you'll hear the voices of the American people... that makes you feel confident in the future.”
— Barack Obama [06:37]
[07:54 – 08:13]
“I really am hoping that it's less an act of nostalgia... more an inspiration for us moving forward...”
— Barack Obama [07:57]
[08:13 – 10:01]
Obama critiques the Trump administration for dissolving the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), leading to escalation and conflict, only to arrive at a worse outcome.
Obama expresses dissatisfaction with the results:
“We've now fought a war, spent billions and billions of dollars... feels like we're back where we were before we started the war, except maybe a little bit worse.”
— Barack Obama [08:33]
Nancy Pelosi backs up Obama’s assessment, praising the original Iran deal as “a masterpiece of diplomacy.”
Quote:
“The Obama nuclear agreement with Iran was a masterpiece of diplomacy... a virtuoso performance...”
— Nancy Pelosi [10:01]
[12:48 – 14:46]
“We didn't even realize how much we've been missing it... we have people that, frankly, are unworthy of their positions. And there we saw on stage people that were worthy...”
— Gavin Newsom [14:14]
[15:58 – 16:54]
“The one thing that really bothers me about where many of my Republican friends are... is they really underestimate the value of alliances. The reason why we're so secure is because of NATO, for God's sake.”
— Event Speaker [16:26]
[16:54 – 17:40]
“Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate... He's weak and he's ineffective.”
— Donald Trump [17:10]
[17:40 – 18:45]
“Are people telling stories up in here?... This is such a good book.”
— Barack Obama [18:39, reading with kids in the library]
Obama on American Values:
“A belief in the intrinsic dignity and worth of people and that no one is above the law or beneath its protection.”
[03:44, via Political Commentator]
Obama on Elections and Service:
“You run elections and get elected, but the end point is, are you delivering something to make the lives of folks a little bit better?”
[06:37]
Gavin Newsom on Leadership:
“We have people that, frankly, are unworthy of their positions... There we saw on stage people that were worthy of what our founding fathers lived and died for.”

Throughout the episode, the Meiselas brothers combine their signature blend of humor, brotherly camaraderie, and unwavering democratic values, offering both sobering analysis and rallying optimism. They leverage sharp contrasts between Obama’s poised leadership and Trump’s controversial conduct to underscore the existential stakes for American democracy, repeatedly amplifying Obama’s central themes of unity, service, and enduring hope.
This episode serves as both an urgent warning and an inspirational call to action, urging listeners to recognize the stakes of the current political climate while emphasizing that robust civic engagement and shared democratic values can—and must—prevail. The MeidasTouch Podcast frames Obama’s reentry into the national conversation as not just about legacy, but about the future, spotlighting leadership, accountability, and hope amid political turmoil.
