Very glad to be here this week, in fact, especially considering the kinds of perils that a weekend musician burning up the roadways across western North Carolina occasionally encounters here, especially in the summer months. You know, my friends John and Amanda recently moved here to the region. It has been wonderful having them here and they have noted. You know, you weren't kidding, Micah, about how quickly the weather can change here in the Asheville area. They say this about a lot of places, but I've always told people in Asheville, if you don't like the weather. That's right, wait 10 minutes cuz it'll change. Well, a couple of weeks ago, we actually had a very rare tornado warning. Race Hobbs from over there at the network was texting me saying, hey, I've got family near you. They're saying there's a tornado warning. Be careful and thank you, by the way, Race, because you got to me before the National Weather Service did. By the time I was calling family members, I was getting phone calls from other people. I think Lane Marshall tried to get a line through. Probably also trying to warn us about the same thing. So it's funny, people out there listening are often alerting me about weather before I even see the alert on my smartphone. But by the time the official National Weather Service alert came through, I was calling John and Amanda telling them, hey guys, doesn't happen often around here, but apparently there is a tornado warning and there were sightings of a funnel cloud nearby. That's an aerial phenomena that's kind of scary to see. I'd much rather see a uap. Well, anyway, fast forward to this weekend. I'm on my way to Highlands, North Carolina, where I frequently perform with Charles Wood. The two time national champion banjo player. And on my way, I'm driving through a torrential downpour, almost inescapable this time of the year, those summertime showers. But this one was so severe that as I'm driving up through the little community of Cashiers, there were areas in the road that were starting to fill up really quickly. And when I started seeing cars coming back down the mountain flashing their lights, I knew something was up. But I thought, well, a tree must have fallen. Somebody may have run off the road. Fortunately, neither was the case. But what was happening was part of the road and had completely filled up with water. And so it was effectively one lane only. And even that one lane we were all sharing still was partially underwater. Well, somehow I made it through. Keep in mind, I drive a Dodge Challenger. Those sit very low to the ground. A lot of people around here drive trucks and jeeps. Easy to see why, considering that kind of weather. Anyway, I make it up to the gig without further incident. The rain has moved out and I get all the way back down the mountain. I stop for gas and a local good Samaritan, little guy in a pickup truck, he points out, he says, hey, your fog light's out. And sure enough, I walk around to the front of the car, see that the front right fog light appears to be out. And I didn't think much of it at the time, so I filled up, got back on the road, and by the time I got home and I was back in my underground garage here at the Sancta Sanctorum, and I am assessing the actual battle scars, I quickly realized not only was the front fog light out, it was completely missing. That's right. The force of the water, even though it was fairly shallow, having to drive through that running water during that flash flooding actually dislodged that fog light. So, long story short, those are pretty easy to replace. And I spent the rest of the weekend, or at least a half hour or so of the weekend, installing the new fog light. So we are back in working order and roadworthy yet again and ready to go back at it later this week, I think. But while we're talking about summer schedules, and before we dive into some news in advance of a complete breakdown of the latest Pursue UAP release from the Pentagon, we've got a bunch to talk about. And that's especially the case because one of my very favorite and most intriguing classes of UAP takes center stage in this latest release. So lots to go over, but first a couple of quick announcements. Actually, on the way to one of the gigs over the last few days, my brother Caleb and I were en route and I was contacted by Bridget, who's one of the organizers of the big Phenomicon event out there in Vernal, Utah that we do every year with the Hitchhiker Band. And Bridget had reached out previously to ask about doing a disclosure panel there at this year's event where we would have Jay Stratton and Travis Taylor and Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet and a few others to be announced who would all be participating in this disclosure panel that I would moderate. But Bridget reached out and she said, you know, actually, what would you think about also doing a 90 minute talk at this year's event as well? So needless to say, I am very excited to announce I'll be giving a talk where I will now face the challenge of trying to fit more than two decades of UAP research, field investigation, interviews with witnesses, analysis of imagery, FOIA requests, government records, reviews. Yes, more than 20 years. Hard to believe it's been that long of UAP research into one 90 minute presentation I'll be giving out there at Phenomicon. Really exciting stuff. And then on Friday, the disclosure panel with my pal J. Stratton and everybody where we'll be going over all the latest developments involving the disclosure effort, what it all means, why it's important, and where we're headed from here. And then of course on Saturday night, as we've done the last couple of years before, the band Hitchhiker will also be performing. That is yours truly on lead guitar, Travis Taylor, aka Dr. Strange on lead vocals, Jay Stratton on rhythm guitar. Actually, my brother Caleb is moving from drums over onto rhythm guitar as well. Came up and visited over the last few days with the rest of the crew and so that will be how we round out the event this year as always with the Saturday night performance. So I can't wait to get back out there to the desert and the Erie Uinta Basin, which has really, truly become one of my favorite places in the world. Very nearby, of course, is Skinwalker Ranch. Also very nearby is Dinosaur National Park. Talk about a place that when you visit, you feel like you are on another planet. And if you like dinosaurs and fossils, there's probably no better place in the world to go see those in situ as a reminder of what this world looked like a very long time ago. It's just incredible stuff. Wonderful place, magical place in fact, to visit. So I look forward to seeing all of you out there who can attend at Phenomicon 2026. With that, it is time to get into some news. Of course, one of the big stories this week has a lot of people looking up at the sky. No, it doesn't involve uap. This involves a solar eclipse that's going to be visible only in Europe. So those of us here stateside won't be able to see this one, although fortunately there are other things in the sky we'll be able to see. This happens to coincide with the Perseid meteor shower, so you will be able to see those from pretty much anywhere on Earth. But right now, one reason this eclipse is so intriguing is because NASA is preparing a series of ambitious airborne experiments during this total solar eclipse that's going to be happening on August 12th. They're going to be using high altitude aircraft, scientific balloons, and other instruments to study the sun's corona and also Earth's atmosphere in ways impossible to do unless there is an eclipse happening. So one of these experiments is going to be taking place on board a NASA WB57 research jet where, if I understand correctly, scientists are planning to deploy a suite of multi spectral cameras capable of capturing high res images of the corona in visible and infrared wavelengths, which allows researchers to investigate how the sun's outer atmosphere is heated and also how it generates the solar wind. Now you might be wondering, as I did, why would you do that from a moving jet? Wouldn't it make more sense to do this on the ground? Well, actually no, because by flying along with the moon's shadow at 50,000ft, the the aircraft effectively is able to extend the observation time beyond what's possible from the ground. Not only do they have longer to look at the eclipse, but this also allows them to avoid clouds and atmospheric interference. So yes, being at 50,000ft in a special NASA jet flying along at high speed, that's actually a great place to observe an eclipse, believe it or not. At the same time though, NASA is also going to be doing a bunch of scientific balloon launches over Iceland and Spain. These are going to be examining how the eclipse temporarily alters Earth's atmosphere. There's also a science experiment with a novel spectrometer, I believe, which Italian scientists are going to be launching. My pal Ryan Whalen wrote about this for us just this morning over@the debrief.org if you want to find out more about this instrument which many scientists are calling revolutionary, there's not really a spectrometer anywhere else quite like this one that's going to be launched in Italy. Indeed, you can read all about that there@thedebrief.org we'll have links also in the show, notes to that reporting and also NASA's ongoing updates in advance of the big eclipse later this week. A couple more news stories here. This one was on my radar and it's quite concerning, apparently. According to an investigative report by the Telegraph, they say that the Royal Navy in the United Kingdom apparently had been using spy drones that secretly and unbeknownst to the Navy had been sending data back to China. Now how does this happen? Well, apparently the cameras on Royal Navy spy drones, specifically the K3 Scout surveillance drones operated by the British Royal Navy were built using components made in China that were transmitting information to a device in that country. Quoting from the Telegraph here, they say the Royal Marines have been using the 12 million pound fleet since March and the Ministry of Defense was forced to remove all Internet connectivity from the cameras after discovering the breach. The revelation raises fears that Beijing has been attempting to spy on Britain's military after years of security warnings about the threat from the country. Well, not surprising. And it really just makes you wonder what else Beijing or other foreign adversary nations might be spying on and of course, how they are doing it. Another strange story I've been tracking here. A routine medical evacuation flight that happened back in May ended in tragedy when a twin engine Beechcraft King Air took off from Roswell, New Mexico. That's right, the famous site of the alleged 1947 UFO incident. But shortly after takeoff in May, this aircraft tragically crashed into a mountain, apparently killing the entire crew. This was initially reported by Wired, but now other outlets are picking it up because apparently the crew became disoriented during a US Military GPS jamming exercise that was being conducted nearby at White Sands Missile Range. So the accident which claimed the lives of two pilots and two nurses on board is believed to be the first fatal civilian aircraft crash in the United States in which GPS interference played a contributing role. Now, overseas, we actually hear a lot about GPS jamming and interference. We've reported on this at the debrief. But as far as things happening here stateside, an incident like this is a very concerning development because it raises new concerns about the expanding use of electronic warfare, GPS jamming, military exercises and anti drone operations, including training operations like this one, where signal disruptions can affect civilian aviation. In this case, it also tragically led to deaths. And so experts are warning as electronic warfare capabilities continue to proliferate, that navigational disruptions are likely to become more common and that they raise new safety challenges for pilots who may be forced to rely on traditional navigation methods, which they rarely use these days. You know, everything is run by a computer nowadays. And although those systems are highly reliable, in some instances where a pilot may be forced to have to do things the old fashioned way and very suddenly as a result of sudden interference, this can indeed produce very dangerous situations as a tragic instance like this clearly demonstrates. Again, I'll have this and all other stories we've been discussing here linked in the show notes. Finally, in advance of what we are about to discuss, I think I should also mention here before we get to the next segment, that of course, the Department of War has released its fifth collection of declassified unidentified anomalous phenomena records as part of what's called the Presidential Unsealing and reporting system for UAP encounters or pursue, which of course we noted last week apparently is an extension of the so called pursue task force. Or maybe it's the other way around. But in any case, this continues the Trump administration's ongoing effort to make historical government files publicly available, including videos, and we've seen a lot of them in recent weeks. But this latest release, number five, was published on Friday at the department's official UAP portal, which is war.gov UFO officials assuring us, of course, that these releases will continue on a rolling basis. That certainly has been the case now for several weeks, as we have continued to see these files being uploaded, which include historical documents, videos and imagery, and also some artistic renderings based on sightings by US personnel. And so with the fifth official release now available there@war.gov UFO when we come back, we're going to look at what the latest release entails, what it includes, the kinds of imagery and other accounts from eyewitnesses that it contains right here on the Micah Hanks Program. It began as an ordinary summer evening, sometime in June or July of 2011. Just after sunset, a family climbed into a vehicle outside their home and prepared to leave for the evening. The driver eased the car toward the end of the driveway, stopping before making a left turn onto the road ahead. There was nothing remarkable about the moment. The weather was calm, darkness had settled in, and the neighborhood was quiet. Then someone noticed three lights overhead. Curious, one of the occupants stepped from the vehicle and looked up. According to a witness interview released years later by the U.S. department of War, what appeared above them was not simply three lights, but a massive, dark triangular object moving silently or nearly so across the night sky. Each corner bore a large white light, while the body between them appeared as a muted gray or graphite colored surface that blocked out the stars behind it. The object moved slowly northward at what the witness believed was only a few hundred feet above the ground, accompanied by a low, rhythmic humming sound. Someone suggested taking out a phone, but by the time it was retrieved, the object had already slipped beyond a nearby tree line and disappeared. The entire encounter lasted perhaps 15 seconds, and yet it changed the lives of those who witnessed the strange object passing through the airspace. It's like so many other accounts we hear over the years. No dramatic maneuvers, no sudden acceleration, no declaration that this object was explicitly extraterrestrial or otherwise. Just a brief observation that left witnesses, in their own words, dumbfounded and awestruck. As listeners of the Micah Hanks program well know, I am particularly intrigued by this class of UAP reports, the big black triangles. And in fact, they take center stage in the latest release@war.gov UFO, where several sightings reports involving these large triangular objects are included, along with artistic representations produced by the FBI to accompany the reports they've been receiving now since its launch in May 2026. The program, now known as the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, or pursue, has been the US Government's ongoing initiative to declassify decades of unresolved records involving unidentified anomalous phenomena. Of course, officials have repeatedly stressed that the publication of these files doesn't validate claims of extraterrestrial visitation. If anything, what PURSUE seems to be showing us is that the government has collected an awful lot of information. They've produced a lot of documents. There are a lot of videos they've kept in their holdings involving what the military now calls unidentified anomalous phenomena, historically, what are known as UFOs. But this is also no secret. Ever since there has been a Freedom of Information act, there have been government documents released to civilian researchers who that have already showcased the fact that our government does take UFO reports seriously, although perhaps never more seriously than what we've seen in recent years following revelations that first came to light in 2017 and revealed the existence of a DIA program Defense Intelligence Agency known as the Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Application Program, or all SAP and then its successors, which include the UAP Task Force and of course, the current ALL Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which is the Pentagon's official UAP investigative group. But now, as I've mentioned, we also have the PURSUE Task Force. And in fact, I suspect there are probably some other UAP related efforts in government, of course, apart from ARROWS Investigations. We already know that there is an FBI unit that's independently looking at this, and many of the documents they've been collecting on UAP reports are what are featured in this new PURSUE release number five. So the fifth installment of declassified UAP reports were released on Friday. And in a statement accompanying this release, Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public affairs and Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the Department of War and its partner agencies are already preparing the next installment of declassified records. That's right. There is more to come. And that does bring something to mind that I want to touch on briefly before we dive into what release number five entails, if indeed there are going to be ongoing rolling releases. And of course, we've continued to see those since May. It does make me wonder, will the best stuff from these releases have been what came out early? Or rather than digging through all the troves of documents and records in the government's holdings, is it possible that there are efforts right now to declassify even better materials, images, video, documents? But it may be the case that the declassification process may be a little more complicated for some of those documents or videos, maybe due to the sensitive nature of what they show. So fundamentally, what I'm asking is could it be that some of the best things that we are yet to see are undergoing a review process in advance of their declassification for release? And it may be the case that we will see some much better UAP imagery and records in the weeks to come. I don't know, only time will tell. But based on some of the stories that I've heard and that many of us here, those of us who follow this subject, it does seem like there are probably some better UAP records in the government's holdings, descriptions of which we have heard, but imagery for which and other documentation we have yet to see, apart from some limited whistleblower testimony. But now, as far as what is actually in this release, there are a few notable inclusions. This includes six videos documenting a September 2021 encounter over the Gulf of Oman, which involved a US Air Force AC130J gunship. According to an accompanying intelligence assessment made available there@war.gov, it states that the air crew observed approximately 25 unidentified objects during a live fire exercise, describing them as cold infrared orbs traveling at speeds estimated between 250 and 1300 miles per hour while maneuvering in formation. According to the report, some of the objects also appeared to react to the aircraft's cannon fire. This case apparently was one of the many, according to the Pentagon's All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which it classifies as unresolved. Now, this sighting is indeed very interesting, and in fact, in the weeks ahead, I'm also going to be doing a deep dive into this particular category of UAP orbs here on the program. We're going to get to that in the future. Today, in addition to release number five, I want to focus some on these big black triangles that are discussed in the latest release. But in addition to the account we just heard about, some of the other records include video captured over the Middle east in 2025. There's some infrared imagery recorded earlier this year by a US Government special agent in the western United States. Also mentioned a lot of information coming from the FBI. Well, there's about eight FBI witness interview reports accompanied by artistic renderings based on witness descriptions. Now, you know, a lot of people are poo pooing these artistic representations. I've been hearing a lot of people complaining, you know, show us the images. We don't want to see pictures. We don't want to see drawings or digital renderings. But personally, I have to come to the defense of the FBI on this one. Let me tell you why. First, many of these eyewitness accounts do not have accompanying imagery. The witnesses saw these things, but they were unable to obtain photographs at the time, although some of them say that they did try to. Second, as a longtime UFO researcher I mentioned in the opening segment, it's hard to believe I've been doing this now for more than 20 years, going all the way back to my early investigations, but also working as a broadcast journalist and then working for close to actually right at 15 years as a podcaster covering the UFO topic, having written books about the subject, having been a journalist covering this at the debrief since 2020, and also like I'll be doing out there in Utah in September, giving lectures in front of live audiences about this subject. Often the eyewitness testimony that has been provided to me when I give those lectures, I will accompany my discussion of those stories with digital imagery that I have produced based on the eyewitness descriptions. No, that is not as good as a photograph or a video, but it does help to frame the discussion and provide a visual reference for people in my case who are attending talks that I'm giving. But in the case of the recent pursue releases, yes, these may essentially be the same thing, artistic renderings based on eyewitness testimony. But what makes them different is that these are actually being produced by FBI personnel to accompany eyewitness testimony documented in FBI reports. And these official FBI investigations are now being declassified with partial redactions to protect witnesses and personal identifying information. But these images and these documents are now being released by the Pentagon. They may be artistic renderings, but these are still among the corpus of official records being released by our government. And so I know people are always going to make fun of it. They're either going to complain that the images are being released because the government won't show us the real stuff. They've got the videos, the photographs, and that may be the case, at least for now. It also may be the case that they don't have videos and imagery as good as these drawings. But again, to me, that highlights another very important aspect of this mystery, one that I've been aware of for a very long time. UAP tend to operate in ways that make observing and documenting them very difficult. Take these big black triangles that have been seen for decades. They often fly at very low altitude, which makes seeing them fairly easy in principle, but that also makes detecting them on radar Very difficult because they are quite literally flying below the radar. In other words, below the radar propagation of radar systems. So these objects aren't easily detected. Add to that the fact that often when people do report seeing these objects, it's late at night or in the wee hours of the early morning when very few people are likely to be out and active. But nonetheless, they're gonna be some people out and there are gonna be some observers. Now, this leads to an important question. If the US Military were testing some sort of secretive aircraft, why would they do that in plain view of the public? Even at times of day when it's likely there aren't gonna be many observers, people do report seeing these things, but at times and under conditions that make it difficult to spot them, or at least unlikely that many people will see them also flying at altitudes, that makes radar detection very unlikely. And yes, the conditions, time of day, etcetera, under which these objects are most commonly reported also makes obtaining video or photographs of them very difficult. Not impossible, though. And there are actually some intriguing photos and videos that have appeared over the years alleging to show some of these large triangular objects. Now, everything I'm describing here paints a very unique picture, in my opinion, because coming back to the question of why the military would test something in plain view of the public, I mean, obviously that makes no sense. Many skeptics have pointed this out. If these were military tests, why would they be testing them at low altitude over highly populated areas, even in the middle of the night? Well, that is a very valid question in my opinion. And in fact, I think it's highly unlikely that the military would do that. But then that leaves us to the other aspects of these encounters with big black triangles. These objects flying at relatively low altitude in the middle of the night, under cover of darkness, they do have lights on them, so they're clearly able to be seen. And yet they're still flying at a time that makes their obvious appearance a little less likely. In other words, these objects do appear to have an awareness of what time of day they are least likely to be seen. And they do appear to be flying at altitudes and in a manner that makes their official detection by military bodies very unlikely. Their behavior, in other words, indicates a kind of stealth. These things are occasionally seen, and they don't seem to be terribly concerned when people do see them. But they appear to operate at times and under conditions that intentionally limits the amount of detection that occurs. So I don't think they are immune to photography. But clearly these things are attempting to try and avoid being photographed and avoid mass sightings, avoid radar detection. And so fundamentally, if it's unlikely that they're military technologies and they are essentially trying to keep a low profile, but nonetheless they are flying at low altitude over highly populated areas, one has to wonder who is behind this technology, what these things actually might be. And like the All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office has taken interest in these and we've discussed at length on this program. I talked about it with the former science Advisor to Arrow, Dr. Randy Bostic up there in Toronto a couple of weeks ago. I have collected reports on these sightings for decades now myself. And yes, the latest pursue release also makes it plainly evident that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been logging several reports involving sightings of this class of UAP. These include an FBI interview with a military pilot who said in 2002, an encounter they had over Afghanistan involved what the witness characterized as a massive, dark triangular object. Yes, one of the artistic renderings there@war.gov features a depiction of what this thing allegedly looked like. We have stories like the one that we opened this segment with, where a group of individuals traveling in their car, leaving their home at night, happen to see three lights passing overhead. They get out and they get a very good look, albeit a fleeting one, of a large object passing through the air above them. And these are just a couple of examples of the big black triangle reports that are included in the latest Pursuit release. So when we come back after this, we're going to take a closer look at some of these and then finally add to that some comparisons to reports I've been collecting and then some expert opinions on what these craft might be and what they could represent. But again, to make it a little easier to navigate, I'll have them listed in the show notes there@micahenks.com podcast and available right there in your podcasting app. So we're going to lead off with FBI UAP Do 29 here. This is one of these digital renderings. It shows a man standing outside an automobile looking up to his right at the night sky. Above him there is a large black triangular UAP with white lights at the three corners. Now accompanying this image is a link to the FBI document. I want to quote from this document now, much of which is redacted. Keep in mind the FBI will protect personal information or classified information that may appear in these documents. That's why there are all those redaction bars. But reading between the bars we have the following account Quote on an evening in June or July 2011, it was dark outside when Blank was leaving his driveway. Then they give the location also redacted. It was 8 or 9pm Blank was driving the vehicle. Blank and Blank were in the front passenger seat. The vehicle was about 50ft from the driveway and preparing to make a left turn. When they reached the intersection, Blank was looking out the window and saw three lights in the sky. Blank got out of the vehicle and when he looked up he saw a massive black isosceles triangle shaped object flying north. Keep in mind this is an FBI Document describing this we continue. The object had a car sized white light in each of its three corners that emitted a diffused glow and were recessed back a bit from the corners. The object was low to the ground and creating a low humming noise that made a pulsing sound. Blank told him to take a video, but by the time he got his phone out, the object had flown over the tree line behind the house to the north and out of sight. He had seen the object for approximately 10 to 15 seconds. There were no contrails left behind by the object. Blank felt dumbfounded and awestruck during the experience. They go on to provide the additional notes about the witnesses observation. They said when they saw this thing, he was overwhelmed by the size of it and how low it was to the ground. Blank thought the object may have been 800ft above the ground. And based on the dimensions of their environment, he estimated the object was 200ft long and 100ft wide. So in other words, it's a sharp leading edge on this object. The length is seemingly greater than the width at the back of the triangle. That's very consistent in terms of descriptions of these things that have been seen over the years. However, the witness says that they believed that the object actually had more of an equilateral triangle shape. In other words, all of these sides would have been an equal length. But they said based on the calculated dimensions, it could have been more of an isosceles triangle. The object was moving slowly and steadily and he also heard the pulsing sound. They saw three lights in the corners, but also remembered seeing something in the middle of the triangle that was grayish or graphite colored. Now that's an interesting little component here because occasionally people do describe seeing fixtures or structures in the center on the base of these craft. Sometimes there is a red light position there. In a few cases over the years and in descriptions provided on this program, some witnesses have described a sort of gondola. In one notable instance, there was an observer in Ontario, Canada back in 1980 who along with their family, observed one of these gondola kind of structures underneath one of these things. And his parents looking at the object through binoculars at the time, said they could see beings behind what appeared to be windows on this portion of the craft. For anyone who'd like to hear that story, go back in the archives. You can find the white pine triangle episode that we did. I may try to throw a link to that one in the show notes for you as well. So the FBI document here goes on to describe a few more things. One Quick thing I will simply touch on here. They note that the witnesses had become temporarily distracted by their unsuccessful attempt to get a phone out to video record the UAP at a moment when they likely would have had a better view of the back profile. So they actually were unable to see part of the object as they were scrambling to get their phones out. And by the time the phones were out of their pocket, this thing was already long gone. Yet again, I note the frustration people have with the immunity to photography these objects appear to demonstrate. But again, I don't think it's anything anomalous. I don't think that means that witnesses are actually liars or mistaken. To the contrary, I think in many cases it's just like what's described in this document. The witnesses are dumbfounded as they're looking at something, they're trying to figure out what it is. They don't get to their phone in time. When they do go for the phone, it only distracts them and they're unable to watch the uap. And then when the phone is finally retrieved, the the UAP is already out of view. Shifting gears over to another one of these sighting reports, this one FBI UAP do 26 according to the document. And there is also an image that accompanies this one too. It is a artistic rendering, but it'll be linked for you in the show notes. The document states, quote, On October Blank 2023, at approximately 10:50pm the witness and his wife were sitting on the back porch of their residence located at Blank in Colorado Springs, Colorado. That location is quite interesting. More on that in a moment. They describe the angle and orientation of the porch, but in the description they provide, the witness says as they were looking up, he suddenly noticed that something had flown over his house from behind him, coming from the northeast, and was moving away from him toward the southwest. The UAP appeared low in elevation, possibly as low as 300ft. He estimated it was roughly the size of a large suv, based on his elevation estimation from Blanck's viewing perspective. At arm's length, the UAP appeared to be the size of the space between his thumb and pointer finger, which he approximated as 5 inches. Blank did not think he would have noticed the UAP if it was a cloudy night. Blank first noticed the object's movement before actually seeing its silhouette. When Blank first spotted the uap, he thought it appeared almost see through and it had what appeared to be a haze or distortion around it. He further described it appearing as if you were looking at it through mistake and that There were ripples like you were looking at an object that is underwater. The apparent UAP looked like a perfect triangle. However, because of his viewing angle, he couldn't definitively say whether it was an isosceles or equilateral in shape. Blank stated the UAP could have been either dark gray or silver in color, which would have blended into the night sky. And with the surrounding distortion, it may have caused it to have the appearance of being translucent. Blank thought the triangle had rounded edges and corners, but stated the distortion around the UAP may have made the edges less sharp in appearance. The UAP traveled away from him and his wife with a point forward facing. As it traveled away from them along the trailing flat back edge, it had what appeared to be a band of silverish blue light. Blank hypothesized that the light could have been caused by the mode of propulsion for the uap. Now here again we have a very interesting report. This one of course describing an object that is very consistent with other descriptions of alleged triangle uap. Now according to the witnesses estimation, this object was smaller than some of the ones that are seen. We often hear of these football field sized craft. But again a consistent feature that's been reported by the All Domain Anomaly Resolution office. I've heard Dr. Randy Bostick talk about this. Arrow's current director, Dr. John Keselowski has also spoken publicly about this. They have said that there are frequent descriptions they receive of Prius sized flying objects that are triangular in shape. And so when this witness in this FBI document is saying, yeah, this thing was about the size of an suv, had a band of light on the back, it was flying along and it seemed to kind of produce ripples or waves, almost making it look like it was being seen through mist or water. This is actually pretty consistent with other descriptions that have been received. And for all we know, this FBI report may have been one of the very cases that Kozlowski and Dr. Bostick and others have referred to when they talk about these pre assized triangles that Arrow's collecting data on. Now that brings us to another of the more intriguing reports in this latest batch. This is one that sticks out to me primarily because it involves a sighting of a large black triangle by a military officer stationed in the Middle East. The imagery of course will be included in the show notes. You can find it there@war.gov but in the account provided in the accompanying FBI UAP DO24 document, the witness who actually describes several UAP incidents provides the following account of what they saw while serving in the military in Afghanistan. In 2002, while blank as a reservist, Blank got activated to go to Afghanistan. One night he was outside looking at the stars with another pilot. At approximately 4:30am local time, Blank noticed that the stars were getting blacked out over Bagram. It appeared as if something huge went overhead from west to east and was equilateral triangle in shape. The object was moving silently at a consistent speed and altitude, possibly 150 knots, with no lights visible. Blank estimated it was 500ft in size, but he could not fully see the shape of the object. The other pilot with Blank also observed the triangle and when it passed over stated, quote, did you see that? Blank stated that he did not discuss the sighting further with anyone else, nor did he hear anyone else discussing the sighting. Now, as an intriguing addendum to this, the following paragraph is mostly blacked out, although I suspect that's probably just because it describes what this individual was doing while they were in the military. So that information understandably has been redacted, but in the portions that are quoted nonetheless, they state that while serving in the military, Blank, in other words, the name of the individual, and then it describes what they were doing in the military. That's all redacted. But then they add that looking through the data, Blank never found information that could explain what he saw in Afghanistan in 2002. That portion of the FBI report concludes by stating that Blank was not aware of anything that could explain what he had seen. Overall, Blank believed that not a lot of discussions were happening openly about the events with the lights. And this is, of course, in reference to something earlier in this document. We'll touch on that in a moment. Blank did not think that there was as much stigma surrounding these events, but people were just not used to talking about it. So I mentioned that there were other sightings reported by this person. As they note earlier in the document, Blank stated that starting in October 2023, a lot of pilots have been seeing the same event occurring, namely seeing lights in the sky. Pilots have been discussing the events over Blank. Pilots typically saw them between midnight and 3am Blank did not know if the events occurred at that time because it was when it was dark enough, or if it was because it was when the lights were present. But the description the witness gives here from October 2023 was is when they were flying from Boston to Dublin, Ireland, at an elevation of 37,000ft. They believe the lights were higher than them, probably at 50,000ft or higher. They were white in color. The individual says they would start out dim, get brighter before they eventually faded out, and the full cycle of lights would range from 10 seconds to 1 minute. Although these lights looked like airplane landing lights, the pilot said they knew that that was not what they were, nor did he think that it was Starlink flares or satellites or meteors. They did note however, that while some of the lights did not move, others moved in a straight line, sometimes changing direction, and typically did not move in a coordinated fashion. Now, in fairness I will say that based on the description this pilot provides of these lights, some of those probably actually were Starlink satellites. And in fact, as we heard in the latest All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office Annual Report, Arrow has been able to successfully correlate virtually every space based sighting of UAP reported by pilots. When there is enough data with Starlink satellites passing through Earth's orbit being illuminated by the sun over Earth's horizon, we also have to acknowledge the time that these sightings were occurring, October 2023. And that's precisely when the so called racetrack UAPs were first making headlines. In fact the debrief reported on them. But it was quickly brought to our attention by Mick west and his colleague Flarkey there at Metabunk that there was a rational explanation. And to my own satisfaction the those sightings could indeed be correlated with Starlink satellites passing above the Earth. And now that aspect of what's described in this report is a well known phenomenon and Arrow has a pretty good handle on it at this point. But that notwithstanding the description of the large triangle observed flying over Afghanistan in 2002 is a bird of a different feather. And in my opinion, just because a person who observes something that so obviously fits the category of a large variety of UAP that is very consistently described and has been for many decades, just because that person later on goes on to become a pilot and observes what might have been Starlink satellites, that to me does not undermine their initial report of this large triangular uap. In fact, it bears such remarkable similarity to a report already known to me and reported formally over there at the UAP Sightings Reporting System that it begs further attention which we're going to be discussing in the final segment when we come back here in a moment and continue our analysis here on the Micah Hanks program. The enduring mystery of the big black triangular uap. Evidently a lot of these have been reported to the FBI. And in the last segment we just heard about a sighting by a member of the military, a reservist who was in Afghanistan in 2002 when their sighting occurred. Now, this one is indeed intriguing to me because it bears a lot of similarity to a report that was first brought to my attention right here on this program and subsequently, many years later, that witness filed a official formal report over at the UAP sightings reporting system@uap sightings.org that witness, who has been public about this and who doesn't mind me sharing their name, so I'll do so now. He's a very good friend, a personal friend of mine and colleague of many years, James Waldo, who, in addition to having served in the military, is now currently an Army Corps of Engineers geologist. And James is the official geologist with my archaeological unit, the Seven Ages Research Associates. The Jason Pentrail does a fine job heading up the helm for our monthly podcast, the Seven Ages Audio Journal. We'll be taping a new episode this week, in fact. But that all said, James is someone I know very well. I've spent a lot of time in the field with him. He has a deep interest in uap, and part of the reason why is because of what he observed when he was stationed in Iraq near Fallujah in 2003. But rather than telling you what James saw, I'd rather feature an audio sound bite right now where he discusses this and describes something remarkably similar to that last report we just heard from the Pursue release. This is what James said he saw near Fallujah, Iraq, in 2003, in his own words.

So this is in either late 2003 or early 2004 in Iraq. And we were where I was stationed at. It was an. It was a Iraqi military base that we'd occupied, and it was right outside Fallujah. So it was. It was kind of in between Baghdad and the city of Fallujah. So I think it was in the evening. It was, I don't know, maybe 10pm Something like that. I walked outside, and we don't have. We had hard buildings, but we didn't have indoor plumbing. So I was. I was gonna make a pit stop out at a Porta John, and I walked outside, and as I looked up, for whatever reason, I just looked straight up above me in the night sky, and there was a. There was a black triangle going right overhead. And it was, it was the. It was almost like the, like what you would think of if you see pictures of the Belgian triangle, except there was no center light on it, but the corners were clearly marked. And I could see that it was blocking out the stars. And when I looked up at it, it was. It was actually going towards the city of Fallujah. Now, I couldn't tell if it was making any noise because we had a generator out there and it was, you know, making quite a racket. So there was, you know, no way. But when I, after just a couple of seconds when I looked up at it, the thing, it just blacked itself out. The lights went off. Now I could still see it against, silhouetted against the sky, but I didn't see any, you know, exhaust or anything. It was really, it was really weird looking and I was, I'm very familiar, especially then, of all the aircraft that, you know, were flying around in our, in our airspace. Drones and all kinds of. All kinds of things. And, and honestly, I have no idea what that was. Now I do feel like it was probably a military aircraft of some kind. But it was, I mean, I had no, I don't have any idea what it was other than that.

Now again, I think you probably mentioned it was very quiet. I mean, could you hear any sound at all?

No. Now that, well, that was the problem was that was one of the problems that at the time was this. We had this huge generator that supplied our, all of our electricity. And I was only about 30ft away from this thing. I mean, I could, I couldn't hurt truck if it ran up behind me. This thing was so loud. So that's a part of it. Is it. Was it silent or not? I have no idea.

And the object, although it wasn't, I mean, you couldn't determine with the generator running whether it was silent or not. But, you know, if you had a ballpark figure, do you have an idea of how large the aircraft appeared to be?

Well, I had the sense when I looked up at it that it was pretty low and so it looked like it might be the size of like a, you know, a conventional normal airplane, you know, like a, like a airliner. You know, it was bigger than a jet probably, and it wasn't moving like super fast. It just kind of looked like it was just sort of just gliding along. So I had the sense, of course, it's, you know, it's impossible to tell. For all I know, the thing was, you know, 300ft across and it was just, you know, I had a weird perspective of it or something, but I've always felt like it was, it was like a, you know, it was a, just a normal conventional aircraft size.

I mean, I've heard some similar stories over the years and, you know, two of them come to mind here. John Greenwald over at the Black Vault, I remember The Black Vault was going, God, probably when I was a teenager and Greenwald isn't much older than me and in fact I think he was a teenager when he started the site. But he, he put out a, a document that he obtained via foia, I think this was last year. And it described an incident where at a nuclear facility somewhere here on basically the eastern half of the United States. There was a, an exhaust vent at the back end of this nuclear facility and that along the river. On two nights, some of the guards had observed basically a perfectly triangle shaped, silent, moving, but aircraft sized object following the river and it would hover outside the exhaust vent of this facility for a few minutes and it would move on and then it would take off. Very weird story. And then also when I was out in Big Bear Lake, California back in early 2016, there was a Air Force veteran who was in the audience and he got up and during a Q and A I was doing with Stanton Friedman and some others, he actually stood up and told a brief story. And so I went up to him afterward and I said, you know, my man, I just want to talk to you really quickly about what you saw. And what he described was very similar. He said it was typical, you know, you might say fighter jet sized, but it was perfectly black. Or at very least in the darkness it gave the impression of being, you know, black. He said that there were three blue lights at the corners and that this thing came down and it actually flew parallel to the Runway at their Air Force base. And that as it got to the end of the Runway, it took off, accelerated and flew off to a higher altitude. They reported it to the higher brass and they were told, basically just disregard that, guys. So I don't know what those are, but I mean, if it's anything like what you saw, it seems to me like if there is any truth to that, so called Project Aurora, maybe you've seen the thing, you know.

Yeah, maybe so. I mean, I remember when I saw the thing, I looked up, I thought to myself, you got to be kidding me. I just saw a black triangle. And what's even funnier about this conversation that we're having is at the time the Black Vault was like, it was the main, like conspiracy theory website if you wanted, you know, that's where you got all the UFO news or whatever. And I used to correspond with, with John a little bit.

I used to post on the, on the website. Anyway, I think I went and had sent him an email right after that and from Iraq and just Said, hey, man, I just saw something, you know, something weird. I can't remember what the back and forth was. I mean, that was in. What is that, 15 years ago now? Something like that. So. But it was definitely pretty interesting. And I never saw, you know, I never saw anything else quite exactly like that. But, you know, one thing that. One of the things that I wanted to say about it is, you know, I told you that it blacked out or it turned its lights off. And I remember the lights being white, not blue, but this thing was headed directly for the city of Fallujah, which at the time was like, the worst place on the planet. So if you were gonna go park, you know, a surveillance aircraft or something that was supposed to be super stealthy over a city or just fly over the city low, you would. Where they blacked out at is exactly where. Probably where you do it at, because we were pretty close to the western periphery of the. Of the base, and there was only about 300 yards until you got out over, you know, the wilds of the land. Nothing was controlled out there. So, yeah, that's what made me think it was probably a military aircraft.

Of course, James says he thought it might have been a military aircraft, and we certainly can't rule that out. It also might be possible that some of these things, these triangles, are indeed military aircraft, and others may be something else. But, of course, another problem with these being military aircraft, apart from the fact that sometimes they are seen overpopulated areas, as we were discussing earlier, another major problem is the fact that we have the All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office investigating these sightings. We have the FBI collecting reports on sightings involving these things we had before Arrow, the UAP task force also investigating these things. I've talked on many occasions with my colleague Jay Stratton about this, and of course, to what extent he's able to discuss this. He said to me, we've never found any kind of indication that those craft are some kind of secret military technology. We just never found any evidence of that. Dr. John Keselowski, the current director of Arrow, has essentially said the same thing. Dr. Andy Bostic, the former science advisor to Arrow, he too, has said essentially the same thing. Tim Phillips, the former deputy director of Arrow, has essentially said the same thing. Two kinds of UAP reports that we're certainly very intrigued in black triangles and these unusual orbs. Now, Dr. Kozlowski doesn't really ever seem to indicate what he thinks these things are. Randy Bostick also seems to be pretty agnostic. He says, we're just trying to collect data. We don't want to leap to premature conclusions. Tim Phillips was slightly different in his take on things. He said publicly that he did think that these things were somebody's craft. He said the same thing about triangles and these unusual orbs. The fact that they appear to exhibit a degree of stealth, they try to avoid being seen, strongly indicates they are most likely a human technology because, and this was his logic, if they were extraterrestrial, why would they worry about whether they're seen or not? Now, yet again, as I've said in the past, I can think of a whole lot of reasons why an extraterrestrial technology, if that happened to be what some of these UAP are. I can think of a lot of reasons why they would maintain that low observability, that stealth, why they would try not to make their presence obvious. Here again, you think about our military, you think about the weapon systems we have. You think about how reactionary we are. You think about how back in early 2023, a bunch of balloons were detected by NORAD. What did we do? We sent jets up there to shoot them down with missiles. Each missile costing thousands, tens of thousands of dollars, in fact. And those unidentified aerial objects were most likely at the time, and later were confirmed to have been balloons. Now, you look at how we treat unauthorized balloons operating in our airspace and during that whole sequence of events where all those balloons were being shot down, you'll keep in mind, of course, that was preceded immediately by the famous Chinese spy balloon incident, which we also shot down with a missile. That one was a legitimate concern because we thought China was spying on us. Of course, the British Navy recently learned that China's been spying on them using cameras on their own drones. So we know that there are legitimate concerns. That particular balloon, a confirmed spy balloon, yeah, it makes sense that we would have shot that one down. But all those other suspected balloons that were shot down using very expensive US Missiles, if any aliens operating in our airspace wanted to provide a simple justification for why they try to stay out of our way, try not to be seen, why they don't drop down on the White House lawn and introduce themselves, just look at how we treat balloons in our airspace. Look at our counter drone technologies. I mean, I could point to any number of reasons why aliens, if they were visiting Earth, and for all we know, they very well may be. It is at least one hypothesis. It's a possibility worth entertaining in my opinion. But I can think of a lot of reasons why they would exhibit stealth, why their Technologies would be something they would try to keep hidden, why they would not want to be seen. And so I don't necessarily agree with Mr. Phillips in his assessment that the fact that UAP appear to try and hide suggests they're being controlled by humans. In any case, we are now near the end of the program. There are a few other additional sighting reports which I will include in the show notes. We didn't have time to get to those. But for ex subscribers, we're going to continue this conversation with some additional insights from experts, some eyewitness reports that have been supplied to me over the years. And really looking at this from all angles, the possibility that some of these things may indeed be military technologies, the possibility that some of these things, especially when we look deeper into the history of ufology, could not possibly be military technologies. If again, the historical reports describing large triangular aircraft and sometimes smaller ones too, are accurate descriptions of the phenomena in question. I've spoken to NASA engineers about this. I've spoken to longtime UFO investigators about this. I've spoken to engineers who say that they have seen and heard mysterious aircraft that they could not identify. And of course over the years there is certainly no class of uap, maybe apart from the orbs and spheres which we're going to be discussing very soon here on this program and another deep dive. But there's probably no other class of UAP that I get more reports about than the big mysterious black triangles. So for my own part, one of the biggest and most important takeaways from the recent release by the Pursue Initiative Number five is that the FBI has also been collecting a lot of reports. Arrow, as we know, continues to investigate these triangular uap. Nobody seems to know what these things are, but some things about their behavior and appearance do offer a few clues.
