One of the strangest things about the modern economy is that everyone claims to love small businesses, but the systems that we've built make it harder and harder for small businesses to actually survive. Over 70% of small businesses need additional capital at least once a year. But if you want bank rates without the bank delays, you need to check out Cardiff Co Knowles for up to half a million dollars in same day funding. Cardiff is the largest privately held small business lender in the United States. Since 2004, they've funded more than $12 billion for businesses. The application takes under five minutes. Not everybody is happy that America is 250 years old. Some people wish we had died long before. They think it is wrong of you to celebrate. Where do we find such execrable degeneracy? We find it of course, on TikTok. Take it away.

Remind everybody that July 4th is cancelled. It's cancelled. It means nothing. It's trash. It's garbage. It. It's something we vomited up apparently. If I hear a single firework, if I see a barbecue out there, mother, it is cancelled.

Aristotle believed that one's physique had a relation to one's other virtues. He was an looks max. Or he believed that you really could judge a book by its cover. And ugly people can be virtuous. It's not even about natural ugliness so much. When you see someone with the Jolly Rancher blue hair. When you see someone who just looks like on the brink of death all the time with no underlying medical reason. When you see, crucially, when you see the septum piercing, you know that you're dealing with someone whose intellect and will have been rotted to the core. And that should signal to you, that should play upon your prejudice, which is good, which we rely upon a lot. That should signal to you that whatever you're about to hear is probably very, very wrong if not influenced by Satan. Next one.

250 years of freedom, my entire ass. We cannot celebrate freedom while people are actively being stripped of power and civil rights. Y' all mother were lecturing black people on how we needed to be grateful for Donald Trump because he did so much to pardon and free black people. He did so much with his selective ass. Prison reform, you have nothing.
Michael Knowles
Prison reform was like the one thing Trump did that I hated. The one thing he's ever done that
Left-wing Critic
I hated about the continued disenfranchisement of fellow.

I love how she just conflates black people with criminals totally casually, no explanation at all. She sees the Venn diagram of black people and criminals to be a circle. Like, cool it, Bull Connor. Cool. Hey, cool it with the racist remarks. You've got to keep the white and the black circle. There's a great political lesson that comes out of that. TikTok, though, I mentioned that basically, the one thing Trump has ever done that I really, really, really disagreed with was the prison reform. The jailbreak bill in the first term where he sprung a bunch of criminals out of prison. And it's funny when people, they say, michael, you're too positive on Trump. You never criticize Trump. I say, that's not true. I hated that jailbreak bill. I hated prison reform, which is the one thing that a lot of those people usually like. But I thought it was a bad idea. It's okay. People can only be right at most 99.3% of the time. In any case, it's a reminder as to why it's not a good idea to pander to people who just fundamentally disagree with you. The people who wanna abolish prisons, the people who wanna let the criminals outta jail. You're not gonna win those people over. Trump can win over a bunch of black voters. He did historically. But he's not winning her. He's not gonna win a bunch of criminals. He's gonna win normal, good people. So if we could do it over. You can't repeat history. But if we could do it over, we need to put more people in prison. That's the problem is not over incarceration. The problem is under incarceration. As long as we have crime, we have an under incarceration problem. Next. Next one.

I'm happy to report that America's 250th birthday party was as ghetto as we thought. Here are some clips from inside the event. And it looks to be a sweaty time. Just malt liquor and baloney. And everybody's dressed like it's 2003, but not in a good way. Oh, and then these two thugs got into a fist brawl just feet away from the White House. Look at this. Usual suspects.
Michael Knowles
Okay, so there's a little irony to this because usually the videos of people getting into fights on the streets is usually black people, but in this case it's white people. So you say, yeah, look at those thugs. Yeah, they're the usual suspects. Begin. It's okay. He's having fun. Mocking white working class aesthetics. And this is a criticism that you usually don't see coming from black people. This is more a criticism you get from white liberals. Cause it's the safest group to beat up on. You're allowed to beat up on them and you won't be called racist and you won't even be called classist. It's just fun. The white working class and the white working class aesthetic. Wwe, ufc, you know, dirt bikes and bald eagles and explosions. That's mocked by the self styled cultural elite and just about everybody else. And Trump really leans into that aesthetic. Go to helixsleep.com knowles America was built by people who worked hard and slept well. If you're not sleeping well, you are not operating at full capacity. And this country needs you at full capacity. We got a 250th birthday coming up. That's why you need your Helix. My wife is very, very pregnant, okay? And she gets more pregnant by the day. And sometimes pregnant ladies toss and turn at night. How lucky I am to have not just one, but multiple Helix mattresses in my house. Helix. Helix. That is your consolation. Go to helixsleep.com knowles for 20% off. 25% off for luxe mattresses. 30% off elite mattresses. Not ELISA mattresses. That's the one that we have at home, the elite mattresses. Helixsleep.com knowles 20% off site wide. 25% off luxe mattresses, 30% off elite mattresses. And so this has been the knock on Trump for 10 years. He seems like white trash. He's just leaning into the populism even. Not just the white working class. Trump, oh, he's named in all these rap songs. He's got the style of a rapper or a gangster. And yeah, that's true. And he embraces it. And it's what gives him a lot of cross cultural appeal because he is a billionaire. He was born rich. My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars. He has steakhouses and luxury golf courses and he wears nice Brioni suits and all the rest of it. But his tastes tend to be the tastes of normal people, not of just the upper crust of the upper crust of the aristocracy. When Trump orders his steak, he doesn't order it like all the fancy people do. Rare or medium rare. He orders it burnt with ketchup. When he wants entertainment, he doesn't go to the opera. I like the opera. He doesn't go to the opera. He doesn't go to the ballet. He goes to ufc. Trump goes to see the Knicks game because he couldn't. He said this league is so left wing. But it's great entertainment and they mock him for it. I think they mock him for it at their own peril. Normal people like that stuff, okay? So that's fine. Mock him. He's too relatable. He's not pretentious enough. Look at this guy. He's not even condescending. Yeah, okay. I guess that's how he got elected at least twice and won the popular vote today on America Septim on a man.

Intelligence, graceful, class, intelligence, qualifications. Even through the disrespect I was given hope today, it was a hug. That was des. It was like a hug to the country. It really was. And I don't care what they say, you can never make me hate Barack Hussein and Michelle Lavon. Bitch, play with your mother. Don't play with me.
Michael Knowles
Why does he use their middle names or their maiden names? Yeah, Black homosexual men are one of the stranger groups because black men are one of the last groups in America who have retained a real pride in masculine behavior. This is a point that the Harvard professor Harvey Mansfield made in his book Manliness 20 years ago. Black men still retain a. They valorize masculinity, whereas other demographics don't really do that anymore. And so the black effeminate men. That's a weird one.
Enthusiastic Supporter
I see.
Michael Knowles
So my sexuality is weird and then it gets even weirder. Well, one, I mean, you knew you were in for it the minute you saw not just a septum ring, but a septum ring on a man. That's really confounding. That's a red flag. But when he says how much he loves George Bush, I say, hold on, wait a second. I remember when Kanye west was saying George Bush hates black people and Bush was Hitler and all this, but because you get all of the presidents and the first ladies other than Trump, at the Barack Obama giant garbage can in the middle of Chicago, he says, this was the presidential Avengers. And it just feels so contrived. It feels so corporate. And that's what he leans into at the end. He's like, yeah, the Avengers, we just love. We just wanna go back to George Bush and Joe Biden. That's what the people really want. Do you? I don't think you do. He says it's not a corporate event without those guys. And that's the real truth of it. Yeah, you're right. It's not. You're right. Yes. All the big corporate events, they drag those kinds of people out. It feels the Bushes and the Bidens and Obamas to some degree. Yeah, they feel very corporate.
Enthusiastic Supporter
I was possessed.

And Trump's not that. He doesn't appeal to the corporate boardrooms and he doesn't really appeal to, I don't know, to the old establishment. He kind of broke that, which is why he's the real rock star. And the actual rock stars have become, I don't know, have become like politicians. Next one.

What's up, y'? All, Man. Happy Fourth of July, man. I don't know who need to hear this, but I'm at that age now where if you popping fireworks after 12 o', clock, I'm calling the police on your ass. There's too much going on with Trump. I ran. You gotta worry about the Y ins already. You can't even walk outside no more. So wrap that up at 11:30. Cause when 12:00am hit, I don't need to hear that sound like gunshots. When 12 hit the last night. You feel me? And I'm not playing, but happy Fourth of July, man. Y' all go eat something good today, man. I had to get my little spill.
Michael Knowles
That was fine. I don't really have a problem with that. I agree. I have little kids. I don't want people setting off fireworks, waking my kids up, dragging me out the next day. That's fine. I don't know why he would blame Trump or anything for that. He vaguely references the war in Iran, but all the gunshots in these cities, those are all run by Democrats. But I agree with him. Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't have agreed 10 years ago, but I'm a father of four. I agree. I don't want them waking my kids up at night. All right, there's one. There's some bipartisan agreement at the end. The rest of them, pretty crazy. Happy Fourth of July. That was great content.

Michael Knowles’s episode is a pointed, satirical tour of the left-wing social media backlash to America’s 250th birthday, which he uses to launch broader critiques on cultural snobbery, populism, prison reform, and the disconnect between political elites and ordinary Americans. The episode balances caustic humor with reflections on what unites—and divides—Americans in 2026, finding a fleeting point of common ground in the mundane annoyances of late-night fireworks.
