There's a big update on this showdown between Mamdani and the Israeli Prime Minister. Trump is pretty crucial to it since he shot down all these stupid comments from the mayor. But we'll get to where that stands first. Shiloh Hendricks, this is the case. Americans, we love our First Amendment rights. It's for goodness sakes. It's the very First Amendment. And now the First Amendment might have been shredded in Minnesota because this lady, Shiloh Hendricks, was just criminally convicted of saying the N word. Now, even if you don't like the N word or the M word or the O word or the P word, even if you don't like any of those words, surely Americans have a First Amendment right to say it, don't they? Well, yeah, maybe. I think, kind of, maybe. Generally. You know, I did write a book about the actual American free speech tradition called speechless controlling words, controlling minds, which is available, thank you very much. They're a little slow on the bell today. The actual American free speech tradition is a little more complicated. Going all the way back to the 18th century, it's a little more complicated than the free speech absolutists make it out to be. But. But in this case, seems pretty clear to me. For those of you who don't remember Shiloh Hendricks, here is the video filmed by some Somali guy accusing Shiloh Hendricks of calling a little kid the N word. Did you call him A? The child. Did you call the child the N word? It is my own business. You call him A.

So that gives you the right to call the child 5 year old and the N word? If that's what he's going to act. That's what you're going to call him. That's what he's going to act like. You know, that's a hate speech. And you can build a for that. I don't give a. Huh. Okay. I didn't realize the producers were gonna blur the word because then you basically couldn't hear anything at all. Cause it's just this Somali guy saying, say it, say it. Say this word, say this word, say this word. And finally she says that word. Now, it's actually important to go back to the original video here because what happened in Minnesota is that Sophie Cunningham was. Sorry, we'll get to Stephanie Cunningham in a second. That's the other Valkyrie who's going viral at the moment. What happened in Minnesota is that Shiloh Hendricks was found guilty of this misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct for saying the N word to a grown man, but not for calling a kid the N word. We'll get to in a second whether or not that's even a crime or should be a crime. But some people are claiming that she never actually even called the kid the N word, that that was all a big hoax. But that's not true. She admits on camera in the original video that she did call the little kid the N word. Cause she says the kid went in and stole her kid's stuff. And then this Somali maniac follows her around with a camera and says, say the word. Say the word. Say the word. So the first question you gotta ask yourself before we figure out the legality of this or whether the First Amendment's been shredded in Minnesota, is if she admitted to calling the kid the N word on camera, why would she be acquitted of that charge, but convicted of saying the N word to the adult, of disorderly conduct with regard to the adult? Because it's not that the N word is illegal, or the M word or the O word or the P word, it's the disorderly conduct. It's the notion that what Shiloh Hendricks is engaging in is not First Amendment protected speech, but fighting words. Fighting words which are not protected by the First Amendment. Don't forget, while the entire American right was saying, we need to expand the First Amendment, we need to expand free speech, I was making the argument that actually, no, that's like a left wing op and we actually need to exalt one set of standards, the good set of standards, over the bad set of standards, which means suppressing certain kinds of speech and encouraging other kinds of speech. In other words, that the problem with free speech today is not that we have too much censorship and not enough free speech, it's that we censor all the good stuff and the true stuff and we encourage all the bad stuff and the false stuff. So the question of whether or not this constitutes fighting words comes down to this idea. If I go to a book party or whatever, if I'm on this playground with Shiloh Hendricks and I say, you know, I love Joseph Conrad. He's one of my favorite authors. And I really like the Nigger of Narcissus. You know, the Nigger of Narcissus is one of my favorite books. If I say that I am not committing any kind of speech crime, if, however, I stand in the middle of the playground and I start screaming, you stupid. N. You know, and I just start screaming that word, you stupid. And it seems to be disturbing the peace. It seems to be getting into a provocative situation that actually is not protected speech. This comes from the U.S. supreme Court in Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, 1942, defining fighting words as words, quote, which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace. So in the case of her saying this to the kid, we actually don't know whether or not it would have constituted fighting words. It almost certainly did not. So the question then is, well, did it? When she's talking to the Somali guy, the guy is a Somali immigrant. This guy, I don't even have his name here. The guy is a Somali immigrant charged with multiple crimes over the years, including assaulting teenage boys, sexually assaulting a 16 year old runaway in foster care. I guess the charges were eventually dropped, but he was charged with those crimes. This guy is no good. He is following around this woman with a camera saying, say this word, say this word, say this word. And so she says this word. She is not engaging in fighting words. If some maniac, alleged criminal and rapist of minors is following you around saying, say this word, say this word, say this word. And then you say the word. You are not engaging in fighting words. If anybody is engaging in some kind of speech crime or harassment, it's the wacko Somali, whether or not. Look, obviously this woman shouldn't have said that to the kid. She admits that she did, but nevertheless, this. You're getting it from the guy who wrote the book about how we need more standards and more taboos and we need to prosecute more speech. This just doesn't make the cut. So what is the issue here? The issue is that obviously only some kinds of speech are prosecuted and only some kinds of speech are protected. And they've kind of flipped the order here. So it's kind of what you saw in that case in the UK about a month ago, which is if you are a white American citizen, our present political order just presumes you are guilty and they will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. And if you are some Somali guy with a rap sheet a mile long who really has no business being in America anyway, and you're following around some woman demanding that she say the N word, you will be given every benefit of the doubt. That's how it works. There is a two tiered system of justice, not only in the United Kingdom, but in the United States. And so we should not draw the wrong lesson from this case. We should prosecute people for fighting words and for obscenity and for threats and for fraud and for all sorts of things. The issue is not that people are suppressing free speech. It's that they are applying two radically different sets of standards to people based on what they look like, based on which groups are favored or disagreeable, favored by the political class. That's the problem. But we need to get. I'm all for prosecuting people for calling kids the N word. Okay, I'm all for it. Sign me up. But when you live in a country that is constantly privileging one set of people, or I guess multiple sets of people, based on being part of a favored race or religion or sexual group, and you're constantly disfavoring the more normal stock of the population, the historically normal stock of the population, that is not sustainable. That's the real issue here. When the left gets to go out and threaten to murder conservatives left, right and center, and nothing happens to them, when Hasan Piker calls for the murder of US Senators, Republican senators, and says the streets should run red in capitalist blood and destiny, Stephen Bonnell says that conservatives should fear for their lives whenever they go out in public and nothing happens to those guys, then, sorry, seems to me Shiloh Hendricks should get off the hook, okay, for saying the word that the lunatic Somali guy who should have been deported 10 years ago demands that she say while he follows her around with a camera. What we need is more laws regulating speech, specifically the speech of lunatics who are following people around with cameras all the time. It is a far greater threat to the peace and to civil society than any nasty words this woman, Shiloh Hendricks said. Okay, speaking of white ladies getting real tough, Sophie Cunningham is dominating the news. I don't follow women's basketball. Most people don't follow women's basketball. But even I have paid attention to Sophie Cunningham because she is doing more to help Republican chances in the midterms than all of Congress combined. We'll get to that momentarily. Sophie Cunningham plays in the WNBA with that lady Caitlin Clark and she's gone viral for pointing at some other WNBA lady who I've learned is a lesbian and pointing at her because the WNBA ladies keep beating up Caitlin Clark and they might do it cuz she's a white girl and they might do it because she's getting a lot of press but they're all just pointing at each other now. And the thing about Sophie Cunningham is she's a rather pretty gal and is apparently kind of right wing and she's standing up for Caitlin Clark. And beyond all of the inner WNBA beef, she had the temerity to say that boys should not play in girls sports during real time last night. I did not see that happen. And I don't. None of our team saw it happen because I promise you, if we would have seen that happen, we would have had her back. Unfortunately, this type of happens every single game to her and the league and the refs do absolutely nothing about it. Okay, so that's her talking about Caitlin Clark. She's going off on a podcast. Here is what she has to say about transgenderism. I'm national correspondent Akayla Gaskins in Washington. The national debate over transgender athletes is once again taking center stage, this time involving a high profile WNBA player who says her concern is fairness and safety, not politics. The debate over transgender athletes is back in the headlines. I think it's kind of common sense after Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham told ESPN she wants to protect young girls in a locker room or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men. Cunningham doubled down when asked again by reporters on Wednesday. When it comes just to protecting young girls in sport and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that. Clarifying she's not trying to target transgender people. I think there is room for absolutely everyone here and I think there's room to love everyone. I have never once said I hated the trans community. Her comments sparking headlines such as these, with critics on the left piling on, calling for Cunningham to be suspended, labeling her as blatantly transphobic, and accusing her of standing for the worst of the worst in this country. Okay, do you know my favorite part of this whole story? It's not that she stands up for Caitlin Clark. It's not that she's protecting women's sports. It's not. It's not. My favorite part of the story is what that news reporter just said, said the trans debate over athletics is back in the news. It's back in the headlines. That's my favorite part. That's the only part I care about. Sometimes you hear over this whole trans sports debate, the left will say, you right wingers are such hypocrites. You don't care about women's sports. In the case of this very segment, they'll say, michael, you were just making fun of the wnba, but now you're exalting Sophie Cunningham. Cause she's defending women's sports. You don't care about women's sports. Hey, guess what? Guilty is charged. Way guiltier than Shiloh Hendricks is for whatever crime they got her on in Minnesota. You're right. Guilty as charged. I don't care about women's sports. Don't care about them at all. I think the WNBA is totally ridiculous. Women's tennis I guess is fine, that's a little more traditional. But generally I have never cared and will never care about women's sports. If some gals want to have some fun and work out a little bit in college or whatever, that's fine. But. But I don't care. You're right, you're right. You know what I care about justice and fairness. And at a very practical political level, I care about the good guys winning the elections over the bad guys who wanna chop off kids genitals and destroy our whole country and flood it with the third world and tank the economy. Yes, you're right. You're totally right about that. The reason I love this story is because this trans issue is is devastating to the Democrats. They learned that lesson after they lost the popular vote in 2024. They're trying to run away from that issue now, but they can't do it because their base demands that they embrace transgenderism. And if you embrace transgenderism, you have to embrace transing the kids. That's the logic of transgenderism. Frankly, if you embrace gay rights, you kind of have to embrace transgenderism and therefore transing the kids. Actually, we'll go all the way back if you embrace feminism, the idea that men and women are basically the same, that then you kind of have to embrace gay rights and you kind of have to embrace transgenderism and you kind of eventually have to embrace transing the kids. That is the logic of it. It's not just that the emotional left wing base is demanding it of its politicians, it's that the logic of leftism, the ideology that these people have adopted, the logic demands transing the kids and boys and girls sports. And most people, even if they, like me, don't care at all about the WNBA or women's soccer or anything else. They realize that's insane. And the Democrats need to look insane in order for the Republicans to do well in the midterms. And at a deeper level, I guess, than just partisan elections, the Democrats need to be kept out of power because their judgment is terrible. Cuz they don't even know the difference between a man and a woman. That's why that issue needs to be in the news. Republicans should get clobbered in the midterms. Just historically, that's how it works. Also, the Iran war is dragging on forever and that's not popular. Also it's gonna disrupt energy markets even more than it already has and that's gonna cause economic problems more so than it already has. And, and, and, and, and, and the president is now a year and a half into his, his second term and any president who's a year and a half into his second term is going to have disappointed people because everyone has hopes high as the sky. And, and, and, and, and Republicans should get creamed in the midterms. And one of our best hopes to not get creamed in the midterms is to keep this issue in the headlines. Here's the playbook. I'm giving you the playbook. And Sophie Cunningham is doing that. And every Republican politician owes her a debt of gratitude cuz she's doing a better job campaigning for them than any of them are. In fact, she's even catching flack from one of her childhood best friends and her podcast co host, this gal has a podcast. And the, the podcast co host is apparently pro trans sports. Okay. Transgender athletes in American sports is such a borderline non existent issue that right wingers have convinced a massive portion of people in our country that it that these people are like a threat to sports in America when like mathematically the that's not the case at all. And by continuing to platform this, politicians, athletes, journalists, news outlets, you're only isolating transgender people even more by making them seem like this giant group of people is a threat to society, a threat to sports, when that's just not proportionately the truth in any capacity. There is like 10 transgender athletes in all of the NCAA. And so I think there are unique questions that can be handled on individual basis. But to allow this to take our attention away from like housing and health care and wars and all the other actual harmful in our country is dumb. So people are gonna make fun of this guy cuz he clearly doesn't know that much about politics and he's not particularly articulate, but he's going to the mat. I mean he's, he's attacking his good friend and his podcast co host over this issue. That's how important it is to him as I guess a dyed in the wool liberal. And they're gonna make fun of him. But the thing is he is no less coherent on this issue than any Democrat politician. Notice what he's doing. He cannot defend boys and girls sports he can't defend cuz it's indefensible. So he says, it's not that big a deal. There aren't that many of them. There are bigger issues. But why aren't we talking about housing? Why aren't we talking about health care? When the left says that about transgenderism, which they're all doing now, that is a concession. Yeah, the trans issue is totally indefensible. Please let me change the subject. And our response to that needs to be no, we're not gonna let you change the subject. You could change the subject if you wanted to. The way you could change the subject is yeah, no, I don't know, that whole trans stuff, you know, you're right. It's a complicated issue. There are issues of fairness. Now, we don't need to insist upon it. I'm not gonna push that. But they can't do that because they'll lose their base and because the logic of their ideology insists upon it. So instead they say, please let me change the subject. Please, please, please. It's not that big a deal. There aren't that many of them. So what if they take a few trophies from a few girls? It's only like 10 people. Just let the injustice occur for like, too bad for those girls who lose their scholarships or whatever, but it's not that many. Please, can we talk about housing? Our poll numbers are better on housing. Nope, we're not gonna let you talk about housing. You have the opportunity to do that if you just ditch the trans issue, but we know that you can't do that, so you gotta keep it in the headlines. Speaking of the trans issue, President Trump, he just did the White House correspondents dinner. There was this White House correspondents dinner two months ago and it got shot up by leftist and they obviously had to cancel it in the moment. Trump was rushed off the stage, the cabinet was rushed off the stage, but he said, I wanna do the correspondence dinner. And this is full on joker mode. This is Joaquin Phoenix, joker mode. He gets up there and all the reporting says that he bombed, but the jokes themselves were quite funny and they were brutal and they were awkward. And in one of them he calls a journalist a tranny. You say he never did the White House Correspondents dinner in his first term. They call it nerd prom in Washington, D.C. which gives the journalists way too much credit because the journalists aren't that smart. But they call it nerd prom. They always love it. It's kind of this lived thing. Trump didn't do it during his first term. This year he really wanted to do it. Second term he was gonna do it. I think the reason he wanted to do it was just to assert that he dominates American politics. He's no longer just an insurgent. He's no longer fighting an uphill battle against this system. That's a raid against him. He won. He took it over. He got unified government. He has changed some of the institutions. He won the popular vote after they tried to kick him off the ballot, tried to kill him after every everything tried to imprison him. He won and so I think this part of the reason he was so obsessed with showing up to this dinner is to just say, even in your parties, even your liberal institutions with your little social events, I'm gonna be there, too. I own you. I am your daddy. And he goes up there and he gives this Joker esque set. I wasn't there. It would have been maybe fun to go, but I didn't go. And so I'm only getting this from the reporting in some of the clips. And apparently Trump was kind of joking about this too. I guess he bombed in the room, but the bombing seems a little bit like, I don't know, like the Joker or like Norm MacDonald at the roast of Bob Saget. Like, it was just, it was totally unapologetic. And some of the jokes are really funny. Here's one. Before we get to the trans joke, we'll start out with a gay joke. Here is one joke that I thought was beautifully written.

While I have all of the press here in one place, I have to say that we're having an amazing load of accomplishments that the media never talks about. For example, under my administration, a once feared and powerful regime that relentlessly attacked America has finally been toppled. Their former leaders have been removed and they're now being run by a gay dictator facing internal divisions. But I for one wish Bari Weiss all the best to CBS News. She's a wonderful woman.

But hey, best of luck to Barry Weiss at cbs. That's a funny joke. And it's kind of a friendly joke because Bari Weiss is this left of center lesbian. So, yeah, not a typical Republican, but CBS had been so bad before that that Barry Weiss is like Francisco Franco compared to what the network had been like before. So it's a little bit of a friendly joke. You know, we like Bari Weiss. Then he gives a pretty hostile joke, turns it up from jokes about lesbians to jokes about trannies, and goes after CNN's Kaitlan Collins.

But they'll learn their lesson. But I want to personally congratulate CNN's Kaitlin Collins on receiving her award. It was all about me. It's a fake. She shouldn't get the award. It was a fake. But I didn't mind. I said, caitlin, congratulations. But it was fake. There's no question about it. But she's a young, attractive woman. She never smiles. I said, Caitlin, do you have a smile? Smile. You have a nice position. You're at CNN fake news. You should be a happy person. So smile, Caitlin. Just smile. But we attack. And I thought Caitlin had really made it big with a major new sponsorship, but then I informed her that it wasn't her on the Bud Light can. It was Dylan Mulvaney. And Dylan Mulvaney cost Bud Light $35 billion in market cap. That was the worst commercial ever made, by the way, for those few people that want to hear that. Most people don't care, but I would.

So it's crickets in the room. I mean, you can hear a pin drop in the room. And I mean, it's the scene from joker. It's Norm MacDonald at the Bob Saget roast. And in a way, it makes it funnier. The President stumbles over the words a little bit in the teleprompter. I was informed, or she was informed of this. So in a way that almost makes it funnier because he goes out there, just bloodthirsty. You realize the reason he's insisting upon going to the White House Correspondents Dinner is not to say, hey, I know we've all fought over the years, liberal journalists and I, but look, we're gonna get along now. It's been a long, hard battle, but we're just gonna. We're all just gonna have a little fun with each other. It's okay. We're friends now, aren't we? No. You realize the reason that he's been fanatically focused on doing the White House correspondence dinner is to get his sweet, sweet revenge, is to go up There he goes. Up he goes. The joke is very simple. The joke is, CNN's Kaitlan Collins kind of looks like Dylan Mulvaney. I thought it was Kaitlan Collins on the Bud. Like, by the way, Trump follows this up. He posts on Truth Social a picture of Kaitlan Collins on Dylan Mulvaney's face holding Bud Light. And so he's doubling down on the joke. It's not just one of these, hey, you know, isn't that funny? He goes up there. Caitlin Collins. Kaitlyn, Where's Kaitlin? Oh, yeah, she. I said she. Congratulations on her award. But she doesn't deserve it. She doesn't deserve it. Crickets. Crickets. Yeah, I told her that she's pretty, but she doesn't smile. Smile. Why won't you smile, Caitlin? Smile. Anyway, I think that Kaitlan Collins looks like a dog face tranny. I can't. It's almost my kind of Trump joker. Impression is it's going less into Norm and more into Gilbert Godfrey. Kaitlan Collins looks like it's just going. It's just this vicious blunt. The fact that the delivery is kind of botched makes it even funnier. It's like no affect, just this is not a Dean Martin roast. This is not, hey, buddy, kind of razzing you. This is a man bloodthirsty for revenge and enjoying every second. Even as the reviews say Trump bombed, people weren't laughing in the room. Whatever. What does he do? He posts on Truth Social and doubles down on the joke that it is a kind of comedy, but it's not the kind of comedy they're used to at. At the White House Correspondent's Dinner. Now, speaking of comedy, by the way, and speaking of people who sound like Gilbert Gottfried, Tony Fauci is back in the news. The man who shut the world down and who kept us all apart and made our grandparents die alone and made us miss high school graduations and the guy who told us the Fauci ouchie, the COVID vaccine was totally safe before people died from it, said that it would stop us from getting the virus before he admitted it won't, told us it would stop us transmitting the virus before he admitted it won't. Told us that the coronavirus came from a bad batch of bat soup at the Wuhan Wet market before we learned that he privately thought it came from a lab leak, before he perjured himself in front of Congress and et cetera, et cetera. Tony Fauci is back in the news because Senator Rand Paul has released parts of his personal diary. And the thing we're learning, Daily Wire is a great article on this right now, is that Dr. Fauci really, really loved being famous. Some of the quotes from the diary Dear Tony, dear myself, it is not hyperbole to say that today I am the most famous and talked about person in the country. He's writing this in his diary like dear diary, kicking his little feet up at night, lying on his bed. Dear Diary, yours, Gossip Girl. He goes on April 7, 2020, press still hot and heavy about me. Multiple stories per day, directly or indirectly involving me. Then he writes on May 21, 2020, big front page article about me appeared in the Washington Post. Very flattering. The situation with my national and international fame is explosive and really unimaginable. It is not hyperbole to say, he goes on, that he's the most famous person in the world. Countless profiles on me in multiple media. I cannot even read all the Things that are written about me since I'm so busy. Seriously, he's writing. This is a grown man. This is a grown man, a medical doctor, one of the heads of the nih, writing about this during the peak of COVID I'm so busy, but I just gotta take a little bit of time to write down how much I love myself, you know, I don't wanna forget about it. You will recall that when there was. I mean, this goes on and on and on. We could be here all day reading Tony Fauci's love letters to himself. There was a profile on him in one of the news outlets, and it showed him at his desk at home and his computer and his desk at home sit in front of a giant portrait of himself. I love that Rand Paul released this. I love that he hasn't let up on the brakes because Fauci perjured himself. He perjured himself, some would argue, in two ways. One, by saying under oath that he did not fund gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. And he did, according to the plain definition of gain of function research. But he's gonna try to weasel out of it because he. He had vastly narrowed the definition prior to the funding. And so he'll say, well, no, by my extremely limited definition of gain of function research, I didn't perjure myself. And people can litigate that all day long. But there's an easier perjury point, which is that he said that he hadn't talked about it with the intelligence community. He said he never discussed the lab leak with the ic. And that is not true. That was a complete lie. So he did perjure himself. I love that Senator Paul is not letting up on this. Also, we were right. Everything we thought about Tony Fauci was true. You can go check out, by the way, Fauci Unmasked, which we released during the COVID days on Dailywire. But some of us were on to Tony Fauci for a long time. Everything we thought about him was right. That he's a politician more than he's a scientist, that he seeks fame more than he seeks solutions in the common good for the. He was more concerned with his own PR than he was with the public health. And all of that is just totally proven true. This is not just a humiliation ritual that Rand Paul is engaging in. It's a really important matter, because this happens a lot. The right wingers will tell the truth, and we'll all be called conspiracy theorists, and then we'll be proven right. Five years later, at which point no one really cares anymore. People barely remember and we just move on to the next left wing op. And we can't let that happen. We were right. Dr. Fauci is everything we thought he was and more. Okay, now, speaking of the Trump administration, big new poll out from Daily Mail, Jail of Partners about where the 2028 presidential primary stands for the Republicans. Cuz there's a lot of shadow boxing going on. There is a lot of infighting among operatives, some foreign, some domestic, among some activists, among a lot of pundits. And the poll numbers show a huge disconnect between the activist class, the pundit class, the operative class of the Republicans, and the actual Republican voters. So I will tell you what is going to happen in 2028. I'll bring out the Nostradamus Crystal Ball. First, though, my favorite comment yesterday is from the sun that Shines, who says I award this comment section for being reasonably sane despite Israel being mentioned. Yeah, I know we were talking about the ndaa, the idea that we're gonna have a sort of formal office created in the National Defense Authorization act to help to integrate certain research and intelligence with the state of Israel, more than it already is. Obviously we work very closely with Israel already, but I cannot believe how sane the comment section was. Very clearly that comment came from Spotify. There's no way that was a YouTube comment. The. The san. They just there are different. We love the YouTube commenters too. Differing degrees of sanity and excitability between YouTube and Spotify, where you can watch and listen to the show as well. Okay, 2028 new poll out from Daily Mail. JL Partners. Who are the top four candidates for the Republican nomination in 2028? If you listen to the pundit class and the operative class and you look on Twitter, which is at this point, I think 99.7%, just bots and operatives, some of whom are from America. You would think that this is a real contentious issue, that really maybe it's some Vance vs Rubio, 5050 maybe Rubio's up 60 to 40 to JD Vance's declining dwindling public support. But if you look at the actual polls of actual Republican voters, not the pundits, not the operatives, right now you have J.D. vance, 48%, Marco Rubio, 18%, Ron DeSantis 12%, Ted Cruz 5%. And I think that's about right, even after these media cycles with the Vice President got in trouble for alluding to this the other day, but pretty serious anti JD Vance campaigns going on even after all of that with Rubio looking great. Cuz Rubio's doing a great job. This is in no way a criticism of Rubio. He's doing a phenomenal job as Secretary of State. But even with all of this, this brutal media cycle for J.D. vance, this really great media cycle for Rubio, some of the donor class really trying to get Rubio to run. Even after all of that, Rubio is only six points ahead of Ron DeSantis. You got almost half of Republican voters saying they want vance, less than 1 of 5 saying they want Rubio. Then you get DeSantis about 1 in 8 and then you get Senator Cruz. Now what you would say, okay, well what happens if you get rid of DeSantis and Cruz? If it's just head to head, Michael, now we got a much closer race. Actually not really because the same poll looked at what would happen if it were just Vance versus Rubio. Vance 60%, Rubio 29%. So Vance has more than double the support of Rubio. By the way, the idea that Vance and Rubio are at odds is totally contrary to everything that I am actually hearing from sources who are close to everybody involved. This idea that there's this big fight between Vance and Rubio is totally contrary to everything that Rubio and Vance have said about it. Rubio, who endorsed Vance multiple times, I don't think he's gonna run if Vance runs. Rubio obviously wants to be president at some point. He already ran in 2016. He'd probably make a great president. But there is no evidence that he is actually gonna run against Vance, and a ton of evidence to the contrary. And I think in part this is because that Rubio sees the poll numbers. I think Rubio is making a right calculation about this. This is totally what I predicted. And now you know how much I hate to say I told you so, but now I'm going to look ahead. I generally make a rule not to endorse in primaries. I like every candidate actually who's in this top four. And I think this top four is basically right. What's really interesting though is for Rubio, even if he did want to run in 2028, which I don't think he really does, part of the reason he might not is because he doesn't really have a lane. The lane that he could occupy is being the heir apparent to Trump. That's it. But Trump is just gonna pick that person. And Trump almost certainly is gonna pick Vance, I guess, who knows? Trump's unpredictable. He could pick somebody else. But right now it would, it would appear that Vance is the guy. He's the Vice President of the United States. When you're picked for that role in a non consecutive second term, then you're basically being lined up for that anyway. But that would be the lane for Rubio. Rubio cannot run against the Trump administration because Rubio is one of the most prominent people within the Trump administration. So what's really interesting about this lineup is it actually gives lanes to both Ron DeSantis and Cruz. And I don't just say it because I love the guy. You know, obviously I hosted a podcast with Senator Cruz for quite a while. Even though he's just showing up at 5% in the polls here. Ted Cruz has a very serious lane in this race. Cuz the way I see it, you're gonna have the heir apparent to Trump, whether that's Vance or Rubio, but it's probably gonna be Vance. So you got the heir apparent to Trump. Maybe as Trump asks, you get Vance and Rubio as a combination ticket that I think basically ends the primary. But if you don't necessarily get that, then you could get a Ron DeSantis running. Ron DeSantis is in a tough position. The reason he got kind of clobbered in 2024 is because his best pitch is that he is like Trump, but better. You know, even better. Trump 2.0, Trump with more discipline, whatever. But he was literally running against Trump in that case. So his natural base of support was all the people who hate Trump. So there was this just a conflict within the campaign that probably would happen the same way this time. Whoever Trump picks, whether it's Vance or Rubio, is gonna have the Trump blessing. So if DeSantis runs and says, I'm the true heir to the Trump legacy, it's not gonna work. Cause Trump's gonna be involved in the race now, if the Trump administration collapses, if the Iran war goes really, really south, if the economy goes really, really south, if the Republican voters just totally turn on Trump, seems very unlikely. But if that happens, then Ron DeSantis has a real lane, because the lane for him could be, I'm the Trumpish candidate. I'm the Trumpish candidate. If you like a lot of the stuff with Trump, but you don't like Trump's actual performance, I'm your guy. And that is a real lane. And then you have Senator Cruz who could run. I mean, don't forget he was the number two guy in 2016. He did very, very well. He's an extremely talented politician. He could claim The Reaganite lane. So you've got a lot of the worry about J.D. vance that's coming from the activist and operative set right now. It's the same concern, often by the same people that you saw with Never Trump. And it's a concern over issues, economic populism, supposed foreign policy, isolationism, insinuations of bigotry, all a betrayal of the Reagan fusionist coalition. All the same anxieties that you saw play out in Never Trump in 2016. You were seeing play out in this kind of Never Vance op that doesn't really turn up in the polls, but it does exist in, in the political media and with political operatives. And it's for the same reasons. It's almost a one to one. But that leaves an opening. Because if the rise of Trump in 2016, all the way up to 2028 is about changing Republican Party orthodoxy on economics, on immigration, on foreign policy, that does leave a lane open for the Reaganite lane. Say Ted Cruz fills that lane perfectly. Again, I'm not saying that it would work, but he has a lane. Rand Paul has a lane. Rand Paul has the libertarian lane. But as it is right now, Rubio and To some degree, DeSantis don't really have a lane, which is why the polls are the way they are. And some people can be angry about that. They say, but I really want DeSantis or I really want Rubio, but it just is what it is. I'm not, as you know, I don't really endorse in primaries. I try not to anyway. I don't think that's my role as a podcaster and a pundit. But the way I see seems to be being borne out in the polls every single day. And for Rubio, who's in a tough spot running for president, if Rubio were to want the vice presidential nod, it seems to me he would be a shoo in for it. And then you could have just like a way better version of Reagan Bush, you know, the Reagan Bush. Reagan and Bush are great, but the Reagan Bush ticket was basically about uniting the conservative wing of the party with the moderate wing of the party. But in the case of J.D. vance and Marco Rubio, none of them are like Bushies. None of them are Rockefeller Republicans. These are both pretty conservative guys. So anyway, that's, I think, where it stands. I do wanna get to. Do I have time? Can we get to. Yeah, okay. I don't care that I'm running late. Too bad. It was a weekend. There's a lot of stuff going on I want to get to Zoran Mamdani saying that he's going to arrest Bibi Netanyahu if Netanyahu comes to New York. He's been threatening this now for a week, two weeks. And Zoran Mamdani has just clarified what he intends to do if Netanyahu does, in fact, show up. Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people. He is responsible for the killing of more than 73,000 people, for the maiming of tens of thousands of children as those who survive undergo amputation without anesthesia, for the targeting of neonatal hospitals and maternity care centers, denying newborns even the chance to live, for the countless people he starved as he blocked food and humanitarian aid from reaching them. My administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here. It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant. The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant. And I want to be equally clear. Benjamin Netanyahu is not welcome in New York City. Oh, an amazing video, which is an amazing video, by the way. I cut out a lot of it because we don't have time to get into all of it. He goes on for however many minutes about how Netanyahu is the worst guy in the world and he's a lizard man and he takes candy from babies and he's the Grinch who stole Christmas, and he's just the worst guy ever, and he likes to devour the corpses of his enemies or something. But. And it all leads to this. But he says, but I am completely impotent to stop him visiting New York. So after a week or two weeks of saying, I'm gonna arrest Netanyahu, Bibi better not shoot up here. There's this International Criminal Court warrant, even though the ICC has no jurisdiction in the United States, but I'm gonna enforce it. And then after that, Trump tweets out. He goes, actually, in an UN Trumpian fashion, he's just really calm about it. He goes, benjamin Netanyahu will not be arrested in any way, shape or form while in the United States of America, he's fighting the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has done all these terrible things, so it's not gonna happen. And then after that, Mamdani says, yeah, well, you know what? Trump's right. You're right. We're not gonna do anything. This is the op What Mamdani is doing here is the opposite of speak softly and carry a big stick. Teddy Roosevelt, another New Yorker, says, speak softly and carry a big stick. But Mamdani sounds like an Italian American teenager in a hypothetical situation. He's like, you know what I'm gonna do to you? You know what I would do to you? You know, he's really talking smack like he's a would be gangster in the Bronx. But he's got nothing. He's got no Jews and he's got no Jew. And he's got no Jews either. No, he does actually have a lot of Jews in New York. Jews are very important to New York City. And so it's totally a joke. And on this point of Netanyahu and Israel support and American Jews and all the rest of it, you just listening to this guy, listening to Mamdani go off with this vitriol on Netanyahu, you just. At least for me, I realized I just can't get on board with the anti Israel stuff. It's not because I'm some hyper partisan for the State of Israel. It's not because I'm a Christian Zionist. It's not because I'm friends with Ben Shapiro. I don't know. It's not because of any of that. It's just like I have plenty of criticisms of the state of Israel. I don't. But the hardcore anti Israel stuff is just left coded. And I'm a simple man. I'm a guy of rules of thumb. And if Zoran Mamdani and AOC and Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar and Greta Thunberg and just all the worst people in politics, if they all really ardently hold a certain point of view on a certain issue, I just have to assume I should have the opposite point of view. These are people who are wrong about. So it would seem logical to me as a matter of prejudice, true Burkean style conservative prejudice, that just. I should just assume that he's wrong. The person in the world most likely to get me to support Netanyahu is Zoran Mamdani and all those other people. It's amazing. Israel sort of famously is just botching its PR and losing a lot of public support in the United States and is making a ton of PR mistakes. The best thing that the State of Israel has going for it right now is its enemies. That's the best. I don't know. Maybe Mamdani's getting 7,000 shekels per video. I don't know. Whatever it is, I don't know. He deserves it because he's doing more than the entire Israeli comm. Structure. Okay, so much more I want to get to.
