Hey, you guys want to watch a bunch of brain rot slop? I don't really want to, but my associate producer, Professor Jacob, all day, when he's supposed to be doing his job, he just sits there on his phone, drooling out of one side of his mouth, just watching brain rot go up through the reels. And so he insisted that I watch some too. And so, because he is perpetrating this injustice on me, I am perpetrating it on you. So take it away.
Jacob
Huh?
Ken M
So it's not like a joke?
Jacob
I don't think that Americans would find that funny.
Ken M
No, it is not a joke. Yeah, there's nothing I'm supposed to get, in a way. Look, I want to keep an open mind because I have an appreciation of Dadaism. For instance, like the Dada art movement, which was at its core just about sort. I think it's bad and maybe evil, but I kind of get it. It kind of titillates me, maybe in a way that I should feel guilty about, but. So the brain rot, it's not that it's offensive jokes or something like that. It's more that it's just absurdity. Sometimes absurdity is really delightful. And sometimes it's not. Like in a way that sometimes when the absurdity itself seems contrived, it doesn't work for me. So this is like, imagine if glitter dissolved into a kitten corndog. Wouldn't that be so weird?
Jacob
You weird, buddy. You're weird.
Ken M
It's kind of like, you know, it's like a try hard girl in her 20s.
Jacob
I'm a girl. No, you're not. Yeah, he's a cool guy with long hair.
Ken M
She wants to impress the guys. And she's so quirky, you know, she's so weird. She's so special and quirky. It's kind of like that. Okay, next one. I hope it's better.
Jacob
The Justice League of America. The protectors of a disproportionate amount of the world's wealth, led by Juperman. $30. What do you need $20 for, Spider Jew? My goyum senses are tingling.
Ken M
That doesn't even make sense. This would be like my spidey sense.
Jacob
It'd be about him, not about the other Shabbat man. I'm here to break you out, Jeffrey. To the Shabbat mo. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's. It's a well balanced Roth Ira. Aqua Jew. Hypothetically speaking, of course. All your fish breads hypothetically swam into the Mariana Trench for Me to search for some shekels and the Jew lantern. So what do you do again? Well, I can recommend diversified investment products like stocks or index funds to match your risk tolerance and manage your portfolio over time. I'm not gonna say what kind of superher it was. It was a Jewish superhero. What will they make Trump do next? Tune in next time on an all new episode of the Justice League.
Ken M
Yeah. Okay, first of all, I hire a religious Jewish producer and he turns out to be the most anti semitic person on the Internet.
Jacob
Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew.
Ken M
At least I've got this Jewish producer. Surely I can. No, he's more anti semitic than like all of Twitter combined. You know, it's a funny bit, the idea of like Jupiter man or the Juice. It's funny. It just went on too long, but so now I'm confused because sometimes the brain rot is just absurdity and sometimes it's a joke and the bra. It's not. The brain rot's not really doing it for me right now. Next one. All right, that's a little. There was a more of a logic to that one.
Jacob
Yeah.
Ken M
Okay. It just wasn't even quite there because then at the end you get this kind of electronic music and then it's. It would have been funnier if it cut to some super hardcore edit. You know, the edits. I'm like a hip, cool zoomer now. I know about edits. Edits are this art form where it's just get to like really kind of edgy stuff with hard electronic music. But it wasn't fast enough. Like if it cut to like a really cool gigachad edit with a duck, it would have been funnier. There's a lot more to say first though, go to helixleep.com knowles kennewles. Jacob
Human being, he's a chud. What's a church to avoid? What's a void to a goy? What's a goi to a nettie who don't believe in anything. Wow.
Ken M
I like that one because it. It was very internety and memey and you get the characters and the wojacks or whatever, but it's. There was a kind of a logic to it in that it's not only just an assemblage of random Internet memes, but it kind of is a depiction of the Internet.
Jacob
Wow.
Ken M
Which the Internet itself always has to lead to greater extremes. And esotericism, which typically just redounds to, like, anti Jewish stuff.
Jacob
Jew, Jew.
Ken M
That's why all conspiracy theories always end up with something about the Jews is because they're this like, very small minority that's quite distinct, is like, it is defined by being distinct. You know, like they define themselves by being distinct. Anyway, so you get this. That's like a nice depiction of the whole Internet. And it's not really even weighing in on anything. It's just. It's memes for meme's sake. Meme. Grazia. Mimes. Okay, next one.
Jacob
Okay.
Ken M
Huh. So wait, he's maduro.
Jacob
Wisdom has been chasing you, but you're faster.
Ken M
So the oil he finds is Venezuela. Huh? I like the Trump calling Accept. Accept. And democracy in three, two, one. Yeah.
Jacob
Okay.
Ken M
It didn't make me laugh, but it made me think.
Jacob
You smoke crack, don't you? You smoke crack, don't you? Yeah. Yes, sir. You know what that does to you? Huh? No, sir. It kills your brain cells, son. It kills your brain cells, which is
Ken M
really not exactly what art should do. Okay, next one.
Jacob
I was once a look smack, sir. The same as your father. He had the best jawline in the G and he edged a lot. You're a Sigma male, aren't you? Are you capping wheelbrom? I saw your jawline. Only Sigmas can have such a mewing streak. Perhaps I mogged a Sigma and Phantom Taxed him? I don't think so. No one can mog a Sigma.
Ken M
I hate this so much.
Jacob
You're a new gen, Anakin.
Ken M
You're cooked. Oh, I hate it. I hate it. It's just so. There's no art to it. Also, what is two questions about it edged is that. I think we've covered this on a Gen Z vocab episode. Is that. That's like that. Is that. Is that gooning Is ed to edge to goon? Sort of.
Jacob
I don't want to get into it.
Ken M
Okay? All right. Actually, that's fine. Let's just leave it at that.
Jacob
Good call.
Ken M
And what is Phantom? Jacob doesn't even know. Is it like gooning?
Jacob
I don't know.
Ken M
He's just back in the control room wheezing.
Jacob
He thinks this is hilarious.
Ken M
I don't. All right, Phantom, Huh? I hated that one. I hated all of them.
Jacob
Now, look, you came and recruited me, man. You disappoint me, brother. You disappoint me. The disappointment here is you. Me? Yes. Look, you know who I am. You know what I would do. The fact is, you're screwing up. You are not taking care of business. This you're pulling now, you're just going plain loco.
Ken M
And if I didn't have a spirit of charity in me, I would hate you, too. The producers, not the audience. Though I've expressed hatred and contempt for you by making you sit through that with me. And for that, I'm sorry. See you next time. Wow. What is Phantom.
Episode: Michael Knowles REACTS to Internet Brain Rot: Don't Laugh
Date: August 1, 2026
In this episode, Michael Knowles dives into the phenomenon he calls "Internet Brain Rot"—a collection of bizarre, absurd, and memetic video clips popular on social media. Co-hosted by his producer, Jacob, the episode serves as a critical—and at times exasperated—reaction to the bizarre humor and esoteric culture that characterizes much of today’s internet content. The conversation veers among comedy, social criticism, and outright confusion, with Knowles oscillating between curiosity and contempt for these digital oddities.
This episode serves as both a wry exploration and a thinly veiled roast of the meme-saturated landscape of current internet culture, providing listeners with a mix of bewilderment, insight, and a few genuine (if reluctant) laughs.
