In the Aftermath of the 2024 election, America is even more divided than before. Half the country fears the end of democracy, and the other half welcomes it. As America inches toward the brink of authoritarian rule. Now more than ever, we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the Necessary Conversation. It's me, Chad, with my sister.
B
It's me, Ch.
A
It's me, chat with my sister Haley and my mom, Mary Lou, wearing a American flag as ornament, kerchief and hat.
C
My 250 celebration attire.
B
Huh?
A
Right. She's still in the celebration. We're going to get to that celebration. That's going to be our first topic. Of course, we are also going to be covering today NEO Nazis in D.C. we're going to be covering. Is Mitch McConnell dead? We're going to be covering an interesting simmer down. I had kind of two questions there. We'll get to both of those. The corruption of the Trump family is on the docket today. The I wanted to revisit, as this is one day past Fourth of July, the Declaration of Independence and some of the stuff that was in it and why we chose to break away from England and start our own country. And we're going to talk about the American intelligence community. Are we less safe now that Bill Pulte is firing everyone? And we're going to talk about some decisions, if we can get to it, that the Supreme Court made this week, some pretty big ones. So with all that said before we begin. Mom, do you have ditties?
C
I have one.
A
Let's hear it.
C
Congratulations to one of the world's best athletes, Joey Chestnut. Yesterday he ate 66 hot dogs and buns in 10 minute period to take his 18th national or 18th mustard belt title at the annual July 4th contest in Coney Island. His closest competitor was Patrick Bertolini. I think he ate 51. And then James Webb came in third with 47.5. Now that comes down to one hot dog and bunny every nine seconds. He ate. And that is not the most he's ever ate on a Netflix competition. He had 83 of those eaten in the 10 minute period. So congratulations, Joey Chestnut.
B
What a weird thing to say. I thought you were gonna like, you know, one of the world's greatest athletes. I thought you're gonna talk about like Naomi Osaka, like Wimbledon or like perhaps one of the soccer players. That's like playing in the. But no, we get Joey Chestnut.
C
Could you eat 66 hot dogs in 10 minutes?
B
Why would I want to do that?
C
To win the.
B
Why would I want to eat a hot dog every nine seconds. Like, no, thank you to me.
C
I mean, that's a pretty big deal. Well, not everybody can do that.
B
I'm a vegan, so.
C
Okay, I'm out.
A
You can eat vegan hot dogs.
C
Thought it was interesting. Congrats, Joey Chestnut.
B
Congrats on your carcinogens.
A
We are going to move on to the question this week. If you have a question, all you have to do is record it in a one minute or shorter video format, send it to the necessary conversation pod gmail.com with the word question in the subject line so that I can tell it's questions. We get a lot of emails now, a wide variety of emails, to say the least. And I need to be able to see if they are questions or not. So are you ready for today's question?
B
Yeah.
A
Yep, here we go.
D
Hi, I'm Sam. I'm from Texas, the DFW area. And just a quick question for Mary Lou. So you keep having these big X's, and that's not good. That's not good. And last week Chad asked you what is good? What do you think that Trump has done? That's a good job. And the only thing that you've been able to say that you support is the border, that the border is closed. He closed the border. So I have a question. Like, is it that you just are afraid to take that step and say, I can't support this anymore, or is it true that that that's the only thing keeping you going and that your disdain for immigrants is so great that it allows you to justify all of those negatives? The fact that the Epstein victims do not have justice, the fact that animals and monarchs, horses, all of these things that you love are being harmed, the environment, everything. The. The war, children in Iran and Gaza. And all of these things are happening. And that's okay because immigrants aren't coming to the United States? Just. Just wanted to know. Thank you.
A
All right, mom, what do you got?
C
The border is a big part of it. And he did say he was going to do that within the first so many days that he was elected, and he did. There are a lot of X's. Now. Another good thing. Didn't he just sign the SAVE Act? That did go this last week. The SAVE Act. He had a big patriotic 250 for us in the United States that I like.
A
We're going to talk about that.
C
Okay. Yes. What she said is true. There are some X's going on, I am thinking.
B
But I think the point is there are more X's than there are positives. So why are you still in his corner?
C
Because I voted for him and at this point I'm still there. I'm still there at this point.
A
We had another question that I almost used that I was curious about your answer to. This guy sent in a video and asked if Trump ran again and this wasn't in the question, but I will apply this as well. Forget that it would be a third term and illegal if he was running again and it was legal. Would you vote for him now, today, knowing all the stuff that he's done that you don't like?
C
I think it would depend on who would be running against him. Maybe.
A
But a Democrat.
C
A Democrat?
A
Yeah. It wouldn't be two Republicans in the presidential election.
C
I know, but who, who would the Democrat be?
B
Do you think that it could get any worse? Do you think like anything could get worse?
C
It's getting pretty ugly. It's getting pretty bad exes.
B
So would you want to give somebody else a stab at it?
C
Maybe. Maybe.
A
Okay, so are you saying you would not vote for him?
C
I'm saying maybe not.
A
Okay, let's move into our first topic. There's a lot of information I need to get through here on this. It is Trump's America250 celebration is a Disaster Trump's Great American State Fair concluded on 4th of July and overall the week long event was a disaster. It kicked off on June 24 with a speech by Trump that drew sparse crowds and even prompted loyalists to leave before it ended. The fair itself struggled with thin crowds all week amid criticism of cheap decorations, expensive food and almost all musical acts backing out of the event. On Thursday, a large section of the main Salute stage came crashing down during rehearsal. Did you see that?
B
Yes. On the dancers.
A
It narrowly missed these several dancers that could have severely injured them. A brutal heat wave with heat indexes of 110/150 forced the fair to temporary close Friday afternoon, canceled DC's Independence Day parade, a Vanilla Ice concert and the Capitol Fourth rehearsal viewing. On July 4, 51 people were treated for heat related ailments who were at the event at Mount Rushmore where Trump was scheduled to give a speech. Half dollar size hail and ra disrupted the July 3rd pre program, forcing a shelter in place while Trump was still in route. Then on the actual fourth of July, severe thunderstorms forced a full evacuation of the National Mall, delaying Trump's speech until 11pm all remaining military flyovers were canceled, leaving MAGA loyalists who waited several hours to be led into the event angry that they were told they had to leave almost as soon as they entered. To make matters worse, it looks as if Trump engaged in a massive financial fraud related to the event when he created an organization called Freedom250. By executive order, the organization was run out of the White House with Trump loyalist Keith Kratch as its apparent sole employee. This organization replaced the original organizing group for celebration, which was called America250. So he made one that sounded almost exactly like it. The bipartisan commission Congress created in 2016 specifically for this event. Over $150 million of Congress appropriated money via the interior of was supposed to go to America. 250. They only got $25 million of it, while the rest of that money went to Trump's Freedom 250. And House Democrats report found that donors intending to Give Money to America 250 were given Trump's banking details and people unknowingly sent him the money. This is wire fraud, Mom. Do you think Trump's week long 250th anniversary of America celebration was a success?
C
Some of it, yes. Now, were you there? No. Was Haley there? No. Was I there? No.
A
What does that matter? 50 people went to the hospital because of heat stroke.
C
Okay. How can he predict what the weather is going to do? He can't control the weather.
A
All right, well, all right, so you're my next. Hang on, hang on. Before we skip past that, that brings me to my next point. Who controls the weather?
C
Not Donald Trump.
A
God.
C
Okay?
A
Why do you think God sent crippling heat and ball size hail simultaneously to Trump?
C
Stop it. Just stop it.
A
Why? Why did God do that?
C
I have. Stop that.
A
Why is God trying to stop Trump?
C
He is not.
B
It was a waste of money. It was a clusterfuck. People got hurt, got canceled. It's literally like the state of the country wrapped in a little bow like this. Like I said, it's all just the way it should be.
C
Okay? Like I said, we were not there, but I do have two friends, two parent friends of a friend of mine that was there. The is that they did say. They did say they had to stand in line for four hours to get in, like through security. And it was hot and all that. They finally got in. Then they had to leave due to the weather. But then they did get let back in and they said it was so worth it. They saw him speak. They saw everything going on, the fireworks. They said it was amazing and they really, really liked it. So, you know, we weren't there. Those are two People that I do know that were there. I did see some of the clips. Sparse here and there. I did see some of that.
A
Okay, so, okay, all that aside, you're gonna argue that we weren't there, so we can't know. But you do understand events happen when you're not there.
C
Correct.
B
And then we get footage that we see. Yeah, Specifically of this. That it was a failure.
C
But I think you guys just wanted it to be a failure, too. And you're like, giggling.
B
Didn't have to. Have to.
A
I didn't want that. This is. It's the 250th anniversary of this country. And some of the other stuff in today's show, we're going to be talking about that. Of course I don't want it to be a failure. Why would I want that?
C
Because then it would be look bad on Donald Trump.
A
The point that I'm trying to make in this line of questioning is more that anything he does is always a failure because he's embezzling money. The bigger piece of this, which we haven't talked about yet, is that he set up an organization that handled the money basically to put all of this on. Years ago, Congress, in a bipartisan decision, set up a group to manage that money and put on this entire show for the 250th anniversary of America, Trump made a. A group that sounds almost exactly the same. The original group is called America250. He sets up Freedom250. He starts siphoning money out of America250 and putting it in Freedom250. The person who runs that is one of his cronies, one of his henchmen. Then when people are supposed to be donating money to America 250, he gives them his bank account. So it goes to Freedom250. That is fraud. That is a crime, one for which he can never be punished under the current Supreme Court and Attorney General.
C
But, but, but what you're saying that's allegations against him that the Democrats have brought up?
A
No, he did do that.
C
Right now it's allegations.
A
It's a report.
C
Something would be going on and being done about it.
A
What can be done? Hang on, hang on. Haley, Haley, hang on. Who can do anything about it, Mom? Who would bring those charges? No Democrats? No. The Department of Justice? Todd, Blanche would have to do it. You think he's going to bring charges against Trump for anything? Ever?
B
Did you just forget about, like, two or three weeks ago when the majority of the show was about him committing fraud? And you Said that's a big X. Yeah. Like you acknowledge that he's committing fraud. Why would you think this is just an allegation?
C
Because that's what I read.
B
Doesn't matter. He's already committed fraud. Here's why are you apologizing?
A
Mom, Mom. What you're saying it's an allegation. Do you think the Democrats are just like, let's say he committed fraud. Let's make up a story that he created another organization and siphoned money and gave his bank account to people who can donate.
D
They.
A
They have that information. They issued a report about it.
C
Well, the Freedom. This is what. This is what I read. The Freedom 250 spokesperson Danielle Alvarez dismissed the Dems report categorically as false and is smeared by politicians that they would rather manufacture division in our country than celebrate a national milestone as our 250. Okay, so she's saying it's a smear.
A
Great. And so will Trump say that, but it's not. We have evidence that he does this type of thing, this kind of financial fraud again and again and again. We're going to get to some of it at the end of this episode. One of our last topics is about how he just gave billions of dollars to his two sons. All right, let's move on. Topic number two. Neo Nazis celebrate America's birthday. To celebrate 250 years of American democracy, hundreds of masked members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front marched through parts of Washington, dc. They marched to drummers near the US Capitol and Union Station carrying the group's flag, Confederate flags, and variations of the US Flag. At times chanting reclaim America. Afraid to reveal their identities, they all wore white face coverings and sunglasses. DC's Metropolitan Police said it was tracking the group's First Amendment activities. With no arrests, complaints, or calls for assistance reported, no individual marchers have been publicly identified so far. And as of this recording, the White House has issued no statement in support or opposition of a neo Nazi group marching in the nation's capital on fourth of July. Mom, do you care at all that neo Nazis were marching in D.C. on the 4th of July unchecked?
C
They were checked. It said that they were. The police did monitor demonstrations, no arrests were made, blah, blah, blah. It makes me sick to my stomach. I'm appalled. All right. They should have been arrested and thrown in jail.
B
I hate it.
A
Well, I mean, arrested for what?
B
Yeah, you can't be around.
C
I know. It's their First Amendment. It's their First Amendment Amendment. They were demonstrators. Blah, blah, blah. It just makes Me sick.
A
I'm talking more about how the White House has said nothing about this.
B
Right.
A
Taken stance.
B
It should be condemned, you know.
C
Yes, yes. Okay.
A
So Trump's not doing that. Another big X.
C
Big X. I hate it.
A
People on both sides.
B
Did you see the photo of them, like on a public transit and there's a black lady just sitting there and it was like, this can't be happening.
C
I didn't see that, but I saw them march in the street and stuff. It was ridiculous.
B
It is the most grotesque thing I think I saw all weekend long.
C
I mean, this is not a. But, but like how many of those people really exist? Like small amounts, big amounts. Our.
B
Our entire government.
A
Yeah.
C
No, no Good People on both sides.
B
Yeah.
C
No.
A
Trump now is a government horrible.
C
So radical that they would.
A
Stephen Miller is a horrible racist. Elon Musk, horrible racist. They've all exhibited that time and time again.
B
This has existed since the beginning of our country. Like it's rooted throughout our government and our systems.
C
Right?
B
Like systemic racism fucking exists. That's real. And it's people like that who have always existed and will continue to exist that just perpetuate it.
A
Dad is one of these people.
C
Who?
A
Dad.
C
He is not a Nazi.
A
Okay.
C
A neo Nazi.
A
Uh huh. Why do you think Trump has not issued a condemnation of neo Nazis marching in the capital on 4th of July?
C
No idea.
B
Probably because Stephen Miller is like the head of it. They are not in the same.
A
Don't just say no idea. Think about it. What are the reasons anyone, let alone Trump, would have to not, as the President of the United States say, we should not have neo Nazis marching on Fourth of July in Washington D.C. because
C
it's very controversial, I guess.
A
No, it isn't. It's not quite the opposite.
B
It is not controversial to condemn something like that.
C
Right.
B
That's expected of our president and he didn't do it because he is one of them.
A
Do you think Trump is racist?
C
No, I don't.
A
Okay. Do you think Trump supports Christian national white supremacist groups?
C
I think he supports the First Amendment and everybody can say what they want and do.
A
No, no, no, no, no. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. That is not true. He tried to get Jimmy Kimmel fired and you supported that.
B
And they're locking people up who protested at a concentration camp in Texas. They're locking these people up for 50 years for doing the exact same thing, for protesting and using their freedom of speech. They are now in prison for 50 years while these neo Nazi pieces of are just walking around going to work with everybody. Is that fair?
C
No, it's not right.
B
Trump is a piece of right now
C
in our country, there's so many things not fair at all.
D
And you know why that is?
B
It's your president. We have the worst president in the history of the United States. There's a lot, it's all falling apart.
C
A lot of stuff going bad right now.
A
Mom, you, you always branch out. Whenever we get you into a position where we're like, Trump is not, in this case, Trump is not condemning these neo Nazis because he supports them. Well, a lot of things are going bad. You always like, kind of you, you step back into the, like this broad generalization that like, well, there's a lot of bad and that in some way exonerates Trump in your mind or makes it okay that he's doing the worst of the shit because so much bad stuff is just going on, can't be stopped. But you have to like really think about these things, specifically this one. I just want to zero in on it. Why is Trump not condemning neo Nazis marching in D.C. on the Fourth of July?
C
I know what you're trying to get me to say and I'm not going to say it because I don't believe it. I don't believe that he supports that.
A
Then why wouldn't he condemn it?
C
He's been Busy with the 4th of July ship right now.
A
Why wouldn't he condemn it? He's very aware of this. This is huge national news. He's very aware it's happening. All he, he doesn't even have to make the statement. All he has to do is tell his, what was it, the human printer? Hey, get a statement out that I condemn this. That's literally the amount of effort it would take him. To put out a Statement is a 2 second sentence to somebody put out a statement. We condemn this. And he's not doing that.
B
But what he did do about those people at the concentration camps in Texas was come out and declare them a terrorist organization.
C
That I don't know anything about that,
B
what you're talking about, I'm telling you about that. He came on public, on national television, all over social media and he declared that Antifa is a terrorist organization. And that is why these people are going to prison for 50 years. That's not real. It's not an organization. It's just people who are anti fascism. It's not a organization, it's not a terror cell. There's nothing like that happening now. We have 400 people marching in uniform, in unison, wearing masks with flags. We aren't condemning it and we're not even calling that a terrorist organization. Why one but not the other?
C
Yeah, not good.
A
No, you can't just say, yeah, not good. Answer that question. Why do you think Trump. Trump condemns people who protest ice, literally putting them in prison for decades and does nothing about neo Nazis?
C
I don't have an answer.
A
There's only one answer.
B
It's the same reason they're only letting white people come in to the country and they're not letting people of color come into the country.
C
I do not agree with you on that at all.
A
We talked about it last week. That's news. They're letting in white South Africans and they're putting a cap on every other country where the people coming from those countries are not white.
C
You can't tell me people are still coming across the border the correct way and you can't tell me each one of those people coming across would be white.
A
I'm not saying each one of them. I'm saying they are drastically limiting non white immigrants and they are raising the cap on white South African immigrants. We talked about it last week. It was literally on this show.
C
But that had to do with some kind of policy that was ahead of all of that. We talked about that.
A
Yes. A policy by Trump.
B
And our government is like, actively. They are vilifying people who come from countries that, that who are Muslim, that practice Islam. They're vilifying that those are traditionally people of color and we're putting Christianity in our public schools. White Christian nationalism is what they're trying to convert this entire country into. This is like some Hitler. No, I don't. You don't. You don't see that? You don't see the parallels?
A
Answer a very simple question. Why doesn't Donald Trump condemn neo Nazis?
C
You're not going to get me to say what you want me to say.
A
I don't want you to say anything. I. I want you to say what is the only logical reason for that to be the case.
C
Because he agrees with them.
A
Yes.
B
Huh?
A
Correct.
C
But I don't believe that. I really don't believe it.
A
Then what's the answer? Give me an alternative answer for why he's not condemning them. I don't have an answer because there isn't one. It's the easiest thing in the world to say. I condemn neo Nazis. I'll say it right now. I condemn neo Nazis. I condemn the neo Nazis marching to Washington. I condemn all neo Nazi behavior in the United States and globally. Very simple to do that took me about 10 seconds.
B
He took time to create like AI generated his name and all this shit on a marquee. When Taylor Swift got married, did you see this?
C
No.
B
She had like the thing in, in.
C
Oh, I did in New York where
B
it said just married or whatever. And he took the time to like attack that and kind of put her on blast and all over her. You can do that, but you can't condemn 400 people marching in Washington wearing masks with Confederate flags.
C
Yeah.
A
You know what else you can't do? End the war in Iran. We're in week 19. That's not even one of our topics because it's old news now. No one gives.
C
I know, I know.
A
We're going to be in that war forever.
B
I told you, until he's not president.
A
I agree. Hopefully he'll die like. Our next topic, is Mitch McConnell dead? This week emergency dispatch audio surfaced revealing that on June 14, the same morning McConnell's office announced he'd been hospitalized, paramedics were called to his home for, quote, an unconscious person. In the recording, the dispatcher describes the call as a cardiac arrest and paramedic. A paramedic is heard saying CPR in progress. McConnell's office has never disclosed why he was hospitalized, saying only that he was, quote, receiving excellent care. When asked about the audio this week, his office simply pointed back to a June 22 statement saying he's, quote, working closely with staff on Senate business and Kentucky matters as he continues his recovery. But he wouldn't be voting. McConnell last voted in the Senate on June 11th. He hasn't been seen publicly since then. He has had triple bypass surgery in 2003, suffered public freezing episodes in 2023, multiple falls in 2025, and a hospitalization earlier this year for flu like symptoms. Mom, do you think Mitch McConnell is dead?
C
No, because I think if he is, they would have to tell us. They'll tell us.
B
They've had zero transparency.
A
Yeah, they don't have to tell his shit.
C
He's a big political figure and if he did die, sympathy. And they will tell us.
A
Haley, do you think that the Republicans will tell US if Mitch McConnell or any high ranking Republican dies?
B
No, I agree. No, there has been no transparency in this administration whatsoever. Donald Trump is dying and we don't even know what's ailing him. It's very clear that something's going on and we don't know nothing about it.
C
Well, it was very clear our other president had things going on too. And that was all hidden also. So I'm not saying one is better than the other, but yeah, I don't
B
think people like that who are ailing should be able to be president. I think you should have a cognitive, cognitive test. A physical test. If you cannot pass these things with flying colors, get the out.
C
Okay. Okey dokey.
A
So you believe Mitch McConnell is alive?
C
Yes, I just googled, I asked maybe
B
like hooked up to a ventilator or something but like ain't coming.
C
Oh Haley, be nice.
B
True.
C
Be kind. What if his family hears that? Be kind.
A
Hey, he's a U.S. senator. That once you become that your right to privacy and all that where medical things are concerned. Gone. Bye bye. You forth with that.
B
It's, it's the United States right to know.
C
Like I said, they will tell us if he happened to go on.
A
Why do you think that?
C
Because like I said, he is a political figure and they, the news will catch it and somebody will say yes, but family will release a statement.
A
It will be a blow to the Republican Party at large when he dies. He's a very prominent figure in it. I, I don't know what the law is around when he dies. I think in Kentucky they just replace him with another Republican. So I don't think it'll affect Senate seats. But obviously there will have to be a election to put somebody in that seat eventually. Which I'm sure will still be a Republican. I don't think generally speaking it will affect their numbers.
B
Yeah.
A
But it will affect the identity of the Republican Party for sure. And I just, I like. Let me ask you this, mom. What do you think is an acceptable length of time from death to announcement?
C
A day?
A
One day, 24 hours?
C
Yeah.
A
And what would you do? Or would you be surprised if it's longer than that if we find out he's been dead for a week?
C
Why are you asking such weird questions?
A
Because the Republican Party is now the party of lies and obfuscation. Especially around things like this when people are not fit to serve anymore. They, I mean you've seen those videos of Mitch McConnell where he's giving like a speech and just like freezes has to come and be like, come on, let's go.
B
They should have been gone years ago.
A
It's. They, they don't care about the quality of representation. They only care about if you have an R next to your name and the number that you can add to their overall collective.
C
And so when we watched, when we watched President Biden not be able to find his way on things.
B
Correct.
C
Yeah.
B
Get Him. The out. Yeah.
A
And they yanked him. They fucking yanked him. He was running for president and they yanked him.
B
Get the fuck out.
C
They kind of hit him for a long time.
A
They yanked him. Mitch McConnell is literally freezing for 30 seconds in the middle of a sentence. Just.
B
He had, like, freezing, glitching stroke on tv.
A
And they're not even. They're not even telling us that he had a fucking heart attack or why these paramedics came. Biden. They yanked him. Did they do it too late? Yep. But they fucking yanked him. These are not the same thing.
B
You keep. You keep thinking that Chad and I give a shit about Joe Biden, that we are sycophants, that we just worship Joe Biden. I don't give a fuck about Joe Biden. I wanted to. I did. I voted for him because I felt like I had to. He wasn't like, I want this guy in office. And I would have felt the same way about Kamala Harris.
A
Same.
B
That was the only option I was given.
A
Yes.
B
I'm not. I'm not like you. There is no endless love for a fucking political figure for me. You know, if you up. I don't want you in office. If you're old as shit and stroking out on tv. Get the out. I don't care who you are. Damn Republican. I don't give a. And that's how it should be for everyone. You should not have, like, this undying devotion to a politician, President included.
A
Let me tell you this. If Joe Biden, leading into his first run, would have been implicated in the Epstein files, would have been convicted of 34 felonies, would have been convicted of sexual assault, prison. I would not have voted for him.
B
Right.
A
Prison, you did. All of those things are true of Trump. You voted for him.
B
Yep.
A
So it's different. There. There is a difference in how we see political figures and how you see Donald Trump. He is a. A leader of a cult. You are willing to overlook all of this stuff that any rational person. In any other case, it would disqualify that political candidate from receiving your vote. And those are just like three things off the top of my head. He's got hundreds of things.
B
The Supreme Court upheld the Eugene Carroll ruling. He owes her $5 million. They said he's a rapist. How do you defend that? Twice now. The Supreme Court said, you are a rapist. You owe her $5 million. How can you defend that anymore?
C
I don't.
A
You do. You said you would probably vote for him again. What do you mean?
C
No, I never said. I Would vote for him again. I said it would depend on who would run against him, but with his age right now, I would not.
B
His age. The fact that he is now. He is now a proven rapist by the Supreme Court. You would not vote for that. Like, if you knew that going all the way Back to like 2016, if you had this information, would you vote for him?
C
No.
A
All right, let's move on to our. Simmer down. I have two questions. One, what did you do for the fourth of July, Haley?
B
We were open at the bakery because I'm just disgusted at the current state of the country. I did not want to red, white and blue anything. Like. I'm just depressed about it. You laugh, but, like, people love that shit and I just refuse. So we've been doing like Christmas in July, gingerbread and all that. So we just did that. And I posted about it. I posted as much and I got a ton of hate. One guy.
A
Your post. I think I reposted an unnecessary conversation.
B
Yeah, like, one guy wanting to burn our bakery down and like that. And so I just, you know, screenshotted all of these clips and put it over our baked goods and it went viral. So we had a stellar show out for the Fourth of July. It was all of my American patriots who are dissenting this 250th. And it was actually really great. It was just good company. Everybody feeling the same way that I do. It's always nice to kind of like, feel that in a community where every other business is, you know, I love America. I love Trump because I live in like a real red area, you know, where they literally have. There's one guy in town that owns like seven restaurants. He's like a mega millionaire and he has rallies and For Greg Abbott and Donald Trump. Jesus, I'm not even fudgeing with you. Like, that's where I'm living. So, you know, to have like the outpouring of. Of what I consider like real Americans. It was nice. So, came home, watched horror films, turned up the TV so the dogs didn't fucking get freaked out.
A
Nice. Mom
C
first. I. I'm really sad, Haley, that you wouldn't want to celebrate 250 years of the. Of our country that we have lasted that long.
A
That's a drop in the bucket compared to almost every other country on the planet.
B
Right. Lasted that long. But, like, under duress right now.
C
Yeah, it is. So why wouldn't you pump up some red, white and blue cookies and say usa?
B
I just told you why.
C
I don't Understand?
B
I'm fucking. I'm embarrassed of the state of this country. I'm fucking depressed about it. I'm actually scared sometimes. I don't feel like celebrating. I fucking hate the state of the country right now. Doesn't mean I hate America. I don't like where. Where we've gone.
C
There's a lot of people that maybe believe what you just said, but you can still celebrate our country.
B
That's your. That's your choice. Great. You. Do you eat the glizzies and. And watch the fireworks? I don't give a. I choose not to.
A
So, mom, what did you do?
C
I watched fireworks on tv.
B
Did you try. Did you try to give Joey Chestnut a run for his money?
C
No. The Macy's thing that was on.
B
No.
A
Give me my armor.
D
Bees.
C
Then we had a really bad storm. I was already in bed. The storm blew through the fireworks around the city. Most of them canceled. So they will be tonight. I will tell you when the. When we had the puppies, I hated Fourth of July because they hated the sound. They hated the sound. They hated the noise.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah.
A
My next question is the T. Swiftest wedding. What do you think of it? Is it real? Is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey real?
C
Let's go back to, like, when they first were going out. You said it wasn't real. You said it would never last.
A
I don't think it is.
C
Yeah, it's real.
B
Okay. I got. Because, you know, I. I was a Swifty.
A
Yeah.
B
I kind of have like, gone the. The gamut here. So I just listened to her music. You know, whenever it was on, I was like, oh, okay, like pop music. Then one of my kids got me into her and we went to the Eras tour that turned me into a full blown Swifty. And then, you know, I was like, oh, the. The hidden Easter eggs. And. And she wrote TTPD and like, it's good music. You cannot deny her talent. You absolutely cannot.
A
How about that song she wrote about Travis Kelsey's dick?
B
Right? So that aside, mom, you're getting pissed.
A
I didn't write the song.
C
I don't need it.
B
She. You cannot deny her talent. You also can't deny that she's a billionaire.
A
That's right.
B
And so New York City is in crisis. Their power grid is, like, shutting down. People are without electricity. It's the hottest days of the month. And we have Ms. Taylor Swift and Mr. Travis Kelsey renting out Madison Square Garden using all of the electricity that they want amidst, like, we're in, like, one of the worst timelines. Right now in American history, Like, bad, bad shit is happening. We got billionaires in this Madison Square Garden with a thousand celebrities. They're all just like, this is the most. Let me eat cake moment that we've experienced. I literally could not. I could not believe it. I thought this isn't real. Like, you saw them shutting down streets, small businesses complaining because now I'm going to go two days without making money. The. The reverberation from what happened for that event is kind of like outlandish and incredible. They lit up the Empire State Building blue because that was her. Something blue is what I read amidst fucking. Like, people are without electricity.
C
You've turned on her then.
B
I'm not. I'm. You can't be a fan of this.
C
No.
B
A billionaire is a billionaire. And then she cut some checks for like $26 million to charities. I'm like, was that just the tax write off?
A
Y. Yeah, she's a billionaire. $26 million.
B
It's like wiping your ass with $26. Yeah. So you cannot apologize for this. You know, like if. If you are a swifty. This must make you question Taylor Swift. She's a fucking billionaire. Doing like this. Like, it's in bad taste. It's really. I don't know, like the spectacle of it all. And you know that it's going to be on Netflix. You know, they're going to air this for money. Of course.
A
There will be a movie in movie theaters about it. 100. She's going to make another billion dollars off the movie. That's why I'm saying it's fake.
B
She had the CEO of AMC at her wedding is what I read.
A
There you go. There you go.
B
And so, you know, it becomes a. Oh, there can be some good billionaires. There can't.
A
I totally agree. I don't think.
B
I don't think.
A
I think the wedding itself is fake. I think the relationship is fake because if. If they really wanted to get married and they gave a. At all about all the things you're talking about, they would have just done this at a small ceremony, super nice hotel or somewhere, wherever they wanted in the world.
B
Yeah.
A
Instead it's at Madison Square Garden. A thousand people lighting up the Empire State Building. It's the biggest show on earth.
B
Yep.
A
Because it's fake.
B
I don't know. Yeah. I don't know if it's fake. I just know that what. What I've read, what I saw, like, it really was
C
way too much. Yeah.
B
I just.
C
Yes.
B
You know, because Zendaya, Tom Holland They've been married for like a whole year. Nobody knew about it.
A
Exactly.
B
You know about. You know what you did know about Jeff Bezos shutting down some town in Italy to get married?
C
Right.
B
What you did know about is Taylor Swift shutting down Madison Square Garden to get married.
C
Yeah, I didn't.
B
There's something so just gross about it that, like, I cannot. You can't support that.
A
I agree.
C
It's me, me, me. Yeah, yeah.
B
If she drops another album. Yeah, I'm gonna listen to it. I like the way she writes. I like her music. But as a human being, I cannot support that.
C
Yeah, I don't either.
A
Well, speaking of corrupt billionaires, our next topic is the Trump family. This week, the New York Times revealed that Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick negotiated a U.S. kazakhstan deal, giving a little known American company access to one of the world's largest untapped tungsten reserves. This is a metal critical for ammunition, missile warheads, fighter jet engines, and hypersonic weapons. That company operating out of Trump Towers, owned by Don Jr. And Eric, for whom Trump approved a $1.6 billion financing application. Federal filings show the Trump and Lutnick families are linked to 14 companies working with the government on critical mineral deals with over $8.9 billion in federal assistance provided or pending. Trump's 927 page financial disclosure released Tuesday showed he personally made $2.24 billion in 2025, more than all four years of his first term combined, including roughly 1.4 billion from crypto ventures like World Liberty Financial. Forbes estimates his net worth at $6 billion, up from 2.3 billion in 2024. Then in an interview Thursday, Trump admitted his sons are using illegal insider information to make their money, saying if they want to buy an energy efficient truck, they have inside information. Mom, do you think it's okay for Trump to use the US government to give his sons a $1.6 billion mining deal?
C
Of course not, but I. Do I. But, but, but, but I want to say this. Do you remember when dad used to be on the show and say how Donald Trump's money was in a trust?
A
Yeah.
C
And I did look this up to see if dad was right or not. Most of Donald Trump's money business assets are held in a Trump Organization structure controlled by the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust. And who does run that? His two sons. So your dad was kind of right.
A
But that's insane. Imagine if you had all your money in a trust and it was run by me and Haley. Does that mean you Never have access to that money or any say over it. He's telling them what to do. He's saying, I'm gonna give you $1.6 billion. Put sock that away in the Trump Organization.
C
Yeah, you're probably right. He can probably direct some of it, but they're the two that are doing it.
A
He's directing it all. His sons don't know about tungsten mining. Donald Trump said. Donald Trump said there's about to be this mining deal. Why don't you guys make a mining company and I'll just give you the money. That's what happened. That's what he does. In every one of these cases, they have companies that. That build motors for drones. Now, the Trump kids, they don't know about that. It's because there's a government contract, and Trump's like, the military budget is going to be 2.6, whatever billion dollars. Drones. You guys go make a drone company and I'll give you the money.
C
Didn't Biden's son do the same thing
A
when Biden went, oh, my God, no. Billions of dollars, Mom. Billions.
C
I think it was kind of the same thing.
A
Nope, not even close. Not even close.
B
I saw a graphic. I don't know if it was real or not, but it was. It showed, you know, like, the last four presidents that we've had prior, and it was like, number of trades that these presidents have made while they were in office. Zero.
A
Yes.
B
Number of trades Donald Trump has made since in office. Like 3,000. It's like something insane.
A
So, mom, are you saying that it's okay that Trump is giving his. His children, who operate his trust, so he's giving himself billions of dollars in these contracts?
C
Presidents do that, and they know their business.
A
They don't. No, they do not. No president in the history of our country has ever done this. We have never had a billionaire president. He's the only one.
B
And he became a billionaire in office.
C
Right.
A
He has raised the membership fee of Mar A Lago from a hundred thousand dollars to a million dollars. He's selling NFTs. He is taking jets from Qatar, $400 million. All of these companies in the UAE, they put, I believe it was $1.4 billion through his crypto to bribe him so that they would. He would give them access to computer chips for their AI infrastructure. He's taking all of this money from everybody. He's suing the IRS for $10 billion. That's our money he's taking. He's funneling taxpayer money that was meant to be spent on this America250 celebration into his weird little. His weird little friend. They are sucking money out of the United States, and now he's just giving it to his kids. And it's not because, like, do you think that they know anything about mining? Do you think they know anything about buying, about making drones or, or warheads or any of this? They don't know anything about it. They cobble together quickly some weird company that can do the thing because there's a government contract coming. Trump sees the contracts coming. He says, there's going to be a mining contract in Kazakhstan. Start a mining company. You get the money. He's doing that again and again and again and again. His two children are running all these companies. They don't know what the fuck those companies even do. They just know Big Daddy's going to give us the check, and that check is our money. You don't have a problem with that?
C
Yes, I do. If that's the way it's happening, yes, I do.
A
Well, let me ask you this question, then. Do you think Trump is corrupt?
C
I'm starting to see some things that don't look good.
A
Do you think he's corrupt?
C
Starting to see some things that do look corrupt.
A
Remember, before he was elected into office, he was found guilty on 34 felony counts of finance corruption.
C
Right.
B
And now he's tip you off. How do you become a billionaire while you're the President of the United States? While you're in office? How does that happen? That's never happened in the history of presidencies.
C
He is a smart business.
B
He's not. He's just a cheater.
C
But the other presidents, too, have become millionaires.
A
That the difference between a million and a billion? I don't think you get it.
C
Yes, we've talked about this. Yes, I do.
B
A billion is.
A
What's the difference?
C
A hundred million?
A
No, no. How Many thousand million?
B
9,999 million. Just think about that.
C
But what. Just what if. Here's my what ifs.
A
Yeah.
C
This will be another video someone will make. What if he's smart enough to do this?
A
The other person he's doing is legal.
C
I know.
B
He's. He's.
C
I don't like. I know my eyes are being opened. I know, I know, I know.
A
He's already convicted of 34 felonies because of financial fraud. Then the Supreme Court says, well, you can't prosecute a sitting president, so they give him complete immunity to do whatever crimes he wants. Now he's just doing them all. He doesn't give a. And he's about to die. That's the. The real thing is he doesn't care because he knows he's dying, and so he's trying to set up the trump family to have the trump name on everything after he dies so that they can just keep taking money from us forever.
C
Yeah. There's things that I'm saying I do not like.
A
All right, let's move on. We have a couple more topics I wanted to touch on this because it was just the 4th of July I wanted to touch on. What does that mean? What is the Fourth of July? Well, in 1776, the Fourth of July was the date when the continental congress formally adopted the declaration of independence from england. This document listed 27 grievances against King George and his tyranny and established America's independence from his rule. I wanted to read just a few of these grievances that were in the original declaration of independence and see what you think of them. Okay. One of them was king George blocked immigration and naturalization laws. So from england, King George was telling the American colonists, you can't let people immigrate and become American.
C
Sound familiar going with this? Keep going.
A
I'm not going anywhere with it. It's. It's very clear where I'm. I'm there. We're all there. I'm not leading you down a path. I'm just saying. Does that sound familiar to you?
C
Yes.
A
This is what the original founding fathers, the original Americans. We're like, fuck that guy. We don't want to do that. Here's another one. King george ignored legal decisions from the judiciary. Sound familiar?
C
A little.
A
A little.
B
Where are the epstein files?
A
Yeah. One of the biggest legal decisions that has happened the past, what, year and a half is to release the epstein files. He ain't doing it. King George created groups of customs officials to harass colonists. Sound familiar?
C
Yes.
A
He started wars without legislative consent. Sound familiar?
C
Yes.
A
He ruined colonists ability to trade with other countries. Sound familiar? A little tariffs on every country in the world. Okay. Thank you very much. He imposed taxes on colonists without their consent. Sound familiar? Tariffs.
D
Okay.
A
That is what is raising the price of everything. He deprived colonists of jury trials. Sound familiar?
C
Yes.
A
And he transported accused colonists overseas for trial. Sound familiar?
C
No. What's that?
A
When he's just like, I don't care if you're a u. S. Citizen, we're deporting you to el salvador mega prison.
C
Okay?
A
No. No jury, no trial, no nothing. He can just yank people off the street, deport you wherever the he wants good luck, bye, bye, or shoot you in the head however he sees fit, and he incited domestic insurrections. Sound familiar?
C
So you say. I don't say that was okay, okay.
A
I mean, the loss as it was. It put multiple people, hundreds of people in jail for it.
C
Okay, okay.
A
These are just some of the things that led these early Americans, the colonists, to declare independence from a tyrannical government overseas. You, mom, have just admitted that many of these things do remind you of Trump. What does that make you think about the state of America that you even by your own admission, say, we are effectively living under a tyrannical king?
C
It's very bad times right now. Yes, it is very bad.
B
So we need to get rid of him.
A
Yeah, mom, you're doing this thing and where you're like, yep, it's very bad times, Move on. But you, you have to look at what I'm saying here. Trump is the one creating the bad times. Trump is now guilty of doing many of the things that led the original American colonists to say, you, we're not doing this anymore.
B
It's. It's why there have been so many no Kings protests. It's why people choose to dissent on the 4th of July as opposed to eat their glizzies. There is a reason that there's a movement. It's because we all have been seeing this, and now Ma is starting to wake up to it.
C
Can I say something? This is kind of. When I googled a little bit, this, this was just pretty cool little facts. I want to tell you these facts. In 1776, guess what? The population of our country was 2.5 million. Now it's 330 million. Okay. Back then, no technology, no cars, no phones, no computers. Of course we have AI Space, smartphones. Back then, what was their transportation? Horses, wagon, ship. Yeah, ours is cars, planes, rockets. I mean, our country has changed.
A
How many? When's the last rocket you took?
C
This was. This was an AI Google that I did.
B
So I'll be there in an hour. Let me get my rockets,
C
you little stink.
B
Let me get my jet pack.
A
All right.
C
Okay. The government was just forming in 1776 with 13 colonies. Our government now, I would say, is a what established, like democracy with elections and in the branches of our powers.
A
I think it's a failed democracy at this point. I think we're living in an authoritarian country now.
C
And then back then. Well, I know what you're going to say about that. I'm not going to bring that one up. Medicine was very basic. Illnesses had no cures. Now we have vaccines, hospitals, advanced surgeries. I just thought that was kind of cool to say that.
A
Okay, let's move on. I have two more topics. Let's. We might be able to get through only one. I'm not sure.
C
Yeah.
A
My next one is American intelligence is dead. On Thursday, dozens of intelligence officials were fired by Trump's new unqualified head of intelligence, Bill Pulte, who said the officials being members. The officials fired are members of the Deep State, in quotes, who withheld complete intelligence, a claim four former senior intelligence officials said they'd never heard of before. Trump reportedly told Pulte in early June to, quote, start the process of firing large numbers of national intelligence employees. Cuts have targeted the National Counter Terrorism center, which former officials warned could jeopardize the ability to detect terrorist plots. And this week, the FBI was forced to spend incredible resources in a fruitless investigation of the 2020 election looking for voter fraud. 260 FBI intelligence analysts were put on the task instead of investigating other crimes around the country. Mom, why do you think Bill Pulte fired people at the Counter Terrorism Center?
C
I do not know that one.
A
Okay. You have no guesses?
C
Because there's. I have no idea. I didn't understand that question. I didn't understand the topic very well.
A
Okay, Trump. So Tulsi Gabbard left saying her husband has stuff going on, whatever, right? So Trump now is installing this guy, Bill Pulte, who has had no career in intelligence whatsoever. He has no clearances, and he told him expressly, the reason I'm hiring you is because I want you to gut our intelligence community, because that's the community that would be investigating him, the Epstein files, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So what he wants Bill Pulte to do is come in, fire everybody, and install people who will do Trump's bidding. Right now, that bidding is find anything you can to prove that the 2020 election was stolen, which that evidence doesn't exist. So Bill Pulte is putting in people who will lie about that for him, who will find fake evidence. They will then use that fake evidence to say, see, the elections were tampered with this time around, we need to control them. And so Trump will take control of the elections, and then nothing will ever be fair or free again. That's the system that is being put in place here. Bill Pulte is the. The hatchet man at this point. That's why he's firing people from the Counterterrorism Center. They need to get Rid of anybody who will stand up to Trump's demands to control the elections. And that includes many people in the intelligence community.
C
Wow. But you have proof that he's fired these people?
A
Yes, they're fired. What do you mean? He fired them. They're gone. They no longer work in the intelligence community.
B
And then we actually don't have any more intelligence. And then what do you think is going to happen to our country?
C
Not good.
B
So, like, the borders are the least your worries at this point.
A
Any country or any terrorist group, any bad actors out there that want to do harm to our country using terrorist attacks are seeing this news and they're like, oh, they just axed half of the counterintelligence community or counterterrorism community.
B
Just think about.
A
Seems like we should start planning something.
B
Donald Trump is endangering the American public for his own gain. He does not give a about you.
A
You're sitting there nodding. What are you thinking?
C
I don't know anymore at this point. I. I really don't.
B
You argue a lot that, like, he cares about the American people. This is proof that he does not. He's putting our lives at risk so he doesn't lose an election.
C
I'm thinking more and more.
A
You keep saying that every week. What's the ultimate conclusion? When does the thinking get you somewhere?
C
Here's what I believe.
A
Okay.
B
Did you write.
C
Yes, I did.
A
Oh, you got a speech.
C
Yes, I do.
A
Like Trump. Let's see if the hail starts. Okay, go ahead.
C
We hold these truths to be self evident.
A
Wait, did you write this? Or was this. Oh, my God.
C
Created equal life liberty in the pursuit of happiness to protect these rights. This is a government by the people which is made. Happy birthday, America. 250 plus one day.
A
Okay, I don't. Thank you for your speech.
C
Let's.
A
I want to.
D
We.
A
We are at an hour, but I want to do one more topic if we can. The Supreme Court had some big decisions this week. There were too many to put on this list, but I picked three that I thought were very important. Are you ready, Mom? Let's just go through them one by one.
C
I'm fading. Go ahead.
A
All right, the first one was birthright citizenship. This was a big loss for Trump. In Trump versus Barbara. Or maybe it's Barbara. June 30, the court held that the Constitution guarantees citizenship to children born to parents unlawfully or temporarily present in the United States, striking down Trump's Day One executive order attempting to end the 14th Amendment's guarantee. Trump had become the first sitting president Recorded attending oral arguments and had said he expected to lose. So do you agree with that decision that if you're born here, you're a U. S. Citizen regardless of where your parents are from?
C
They voted yes, so yes.
A
Okay. The next one is about trans athletes. In this one, it was a win or a perceived win for Trump, but for states generally. In West Virginia vs. BPJ, the court ruled schools may determine eligibility for women's and girls sports based on biological sex, Ruling against two students who challenged west Virginia and Idaho laws. Justice kavanaugh wrote the majority opinion in the 5, 4 decision. And red states are already moving to enforce bans, while blue states promise protection. So it's a little split depending on where you live. How do you feel about that, Mom?
C
Well, that was by the states then, right?
A
Yeah. So, like, in California, I. I think anybody's going to be able to play any sport they want, But I would guess in Oklahoma, where you live, only men will be able to play sports.
C
We've always talked about states. Right. So the states won that one, I guess.
A
And you're okay with it then? So you're okay with trans athletes, depending on where you live, playing in whatever sport?
C
I guess so.
B
There's something in the language, though, of, like, I think these laws in particular that open the door for how do. How do you know who's trans? What if you don't know who's trans? And so it opens the door for I. The language is, like, very vague. And so there's talk of, are they going to start checking people's genitals?
A
Right.
B
Are you going to make people strip down to make sure that biologically they fit what you want them to fit? And so there's a lot of. It's not just about trans women playing sports. It's just another blow to women, to our autonomy. And you don't see that just like the save act to you, you think is like, protecting some rights. But in reality, the language in these bills is actually a detriment to all women in sports.
A
And there are, to my. I couldn't find this anywhere online. Like, there's no framework put in place for, like, what about when you have, like, college national championships and states or schools from different states are playing each other? Is it the state they're playing in? Is it the state they're playing against? Who determines any of that? You know, so there's. At least, again, from what I could find, there's a lot of gray area. I don't think the solves any problem. It only makes Them. And it, it does allow for the red states to be just like horribly abusive and oppressive to their trans athletes.
B
It's terrible.
A
Ultimately, the last one that I had on here, I mean, the SAVE act was part of it too. I didn't put that one on here, but this one I found very interesting. Campaign finance deregulation. In NRSC vs FEC, the court held that federal limits on political parties, coordinated expenditures with candidates, violates the First Amendment. And so they can do it now. And J.D. vance was the one who brought this challenge. So it basically means in, in prior campaign finance, you could have super PACs, which are private organizations that can be, that can gather like large amounts of money from various donors and then they can give that all to one candidate or another or whatever. But the political parties themselves were not allowed to do that because it would effectively allow them to coordinate with billionaires. So a billionaire, instead of like having to make a super pac, could just be like, I'm going to give a billion dollars to the Republican National Party and I want it to go to this candidate, that candidate, whatever. It allows a billionaire to basically step in and control the party at this point. They had to do that from outside, using their own super PACs. So now they don't have to. Now you can just have billionaires aligning with a party, with the party proper and taking control of it financially. I think this is, is, I mean, it's kind of the last vestige of an idea that like money shouldn't control. Politics is just gone now. How do you feel about that, Mom?
C
Money has always controlled usually who wins in politics. Money is a big part of it. Always has been.
B
No, we used to have actual, we used to have democracy. We used to actually have fair elections and votes and people's voices mattered, but now it doesn't. It's just billionaires controlling all of us.
C
But to campaign, to have the signs, to have all the stuff that you need to buy the signs.
A
Yeah, he's making the side billion dollars for the signs. But you're, you're also not understanding like the disparity between the ultra wealthy and even just like the average person at this point is greater than it has ever been.
C
Yes, I guess so.
A
It's like if you're like, I, I can't impress this upon you enough. The difference between a billionaire and a millionaire is. I don't even know how to explain it to you. Like, if you're a billionaire, imagine if you had a thousand dollars and somebody asked you to spend $10 on something it would be meaningless to you. Right, Right. For a billionaire, that $10 is $10 million more money than most people will ever see in their lifetime. It is a meaningless amount of money. But $10 million in, like, a local election, you can win it with that. That can sway. And if you're a hundred billionaire, if you're an Elon Musk, a Bezos, a Zuckerberg or whatever, you can spend a hundred million dollars and be unaffected by it. It is a meaningless amount of money to you that can buy you a United States presidential election. That's what Elon Musk did.
B
Yeah.
C
Not good.
A
Agreed. But, like, Trump is the one making this happen. It's his Supreme Court, it's his vice president that brought this to the Supreme Court.
C
Right.
A
All these things that you're saying are not good are happening because of Trump. He's the one doing them.
B
Do you think he should be impeached?
C
No.
A
So you. I can list all these things and you're like, not good. That's another rapist.
B
He's corrupt. He's a billionaire for making all these fraudulent trades. Like, he's literally a criminal. And you're like, no, keep him.
C
No.
B
Why?
C
He's my president. He is our president right now.
B
He doesn't have to be.
A
Yeah. What does that mean? You wanted Biden out of there. You wanted Obama out of there when they were president.
C
You never said impeach any of them, Mom.
B
Chad, you're trying to claim that Obama wasn't even a legal citizen.
C
I still don't think he was.
B
I've never.
C
His birth certificate and all that.
A
All right, well, let's. Let's end this. Happy 4th of July to everybody. If you celebrated or didn't, however you chose to honor the occasion or not. C
She didn't commit.
B
You don't get the individual. You don't get it.
C
He didn't commit.
This episode of The Necessary Conversation, hosted by Chad and featuring his sister Haley and mother Mary Lou, acts as a post-July 4th family therapy session where they tackle America’s 250th anniversary against the backdrop of ongoing political, social, and ethical crises. With an unflinchingly candid, often tense tone, the conversation weaves through topics like Trump’s "America250" celebration disaster, the normalization of neo-Nazi parades, high-level political corruption, the health of Mitch McConnell, erosion of democracy, and Supreme Court decisions—unpacking how the American experiment stands at a grim crossroads.
