Chad
Welcome to the Necessary Conversation midweek edition. It's me. It's my mom and her best American flag hat. This midweek version of our show usually features my mom and I showing each other clips from across the aisle on various topics. Today I've got a clip for you, mom, about Eugene Carroll. You have one for me as well. That's been a big point of contention over the course of this entire show, really, is that you kind of dismissed the fact that Trump was found guilty by a jury of nine people unanimously in. In that case where they found that he did, in fact, sexually assault Eugene Carroll. Hello?
Chad's Mom
Yes.
Chad
Okay. I also have a clip about. You said in the. In last week's episode, I told you that Trump was kept out of the Situation Room when they were rescuing the downed pilot, and you said, show me proof of that. So I have a clip about that as well. And you have sent me two clips. One is about Eugene Carroll. What is the other one about?
Chad's Mom
It's a pretty long one, and we only have to go maybe like a couple minutes into it. It's a person that I saw on TikTok that is from Iran. He lives here in the United States, and he talks about why he does want our government to help his country.
Chad
Okay.
Chad's Mom
It's pretty good.
Chad
Well, where shall we start?
Chad's Mom
Well, first, I would like to start to say happy Earth Day today. Did you know this, Chad? Today is Earth Day.
Chad
I didn't know.
Chad's Mom
It is every April 22, no matter what day of the week. I guess it's. Would it always be Wednesdays? I don't know.
Chad
I don't think so.
Chad's Mom
No. It would change. That's right.
Chad
Yeah.
Chad's Mom
It was established back in 1970, which back then, I do faintly remember it. But then it has picked up, you know, year after year after year. It's one of the largest secular civic events in the whole world. I looked it up. It said over 1 billion people participate in it.
Chad
Wow.
Chad's Mom
You know, everything from planting trees to educational to environmental to keeping our planet clean. And it. It was started back in 1970 by a senator named Gaylord Nelson. And then an activist also helped him, named Dennis Hayes. Okay. So I'm just asking you, Chad, what are you doing today to celebrate Earth Day?
Chad
Living in this. Whatever we perceive this physical existence to be, trapped by space and time, neither of which I believe exist.
Chad's Mom
Okay. I will later be going in my backyard and planting a few flowers. And I don't use pesticides for the monarchs, and so no pesticides in my backyard. I'll be planting a few flowers I do have some sunflowers ready to put in the ground, a little bit of milkweed, a Joe Pye weed. What else do I have to plant? I've got a few things I need to plant. My zinnias are already up for the butterflies, so that's what I do.
Chad
Congratulations. All right.
Chad's Mom
That's what I do. Yep.
Chad
Well, what we're going to do right now for Earth Day is talk about Eugene Carroll. So I'm going to play your clip. I have not watched either of your clips. And then I'm going to play you my clip. Are you ready?
Chad's Mom
Okay.
Chad
This is your E. Jean Carroll clip. Here we go.
Conservative TikTok Commentator
We have some bombshell. Breaking news about Trump's accuser, Allegedly Trump's accuser, Jean Carroll, or Jean Carroll or Jean Carroll, whatever you want to say, secretly met with the DNC officials, confessed on tape that her allegations against President Trump are false. An individual with insider knowledge. I love how they put it in quotation. Insider knowledge of this meeting says that Carol received 10 million from the DNC in addition to her multimillion dollar book deal and hefty federal lawsuit, which is the reason that she fabricated these allegations against our president. She is also alleged to be caught on this tape admitting that she has, in fact, never actually met President Trump. Once again, Trump was right about everything. Now it's time for him to turn the tables and sue the pants off of her for defamation, slander. And what does that say? Libel. Libel. I think they misspelled that. I remember it was Charlie Kirk in an argument one time, and he laid out all these facts about how the case that she brought against Donald Trump just didn't make any sense. And he actually brought factual facts, evidence. You know how us conservatives like to bring receipts, the actual receipts, not something that we try to fabricate to make it look like a receipt. Well, I don't think you get more than this.
News Reporter
Now.
Conservative TikTok Commentator
This is all alleged. So I don't know exactly who the whistleblower is on this, but it seems like the argument that Charlie Kirk made is coming to light.
Chad
Okay, just let's address this. Who is that guy?
Chad's Mom
Okay, that guy was on. I think he's been on Instagram and TikTok, but he's one of many. I could have picked like 500 people now that are talking about this. Now, I know they talked about it earlier right after the verdict and all that. Now, this is explosive because of the whistleblower that I hope will come forward with the name and we'll go forward with that. And, you know, when you were always telling me, well, the jury found her guilty. How can you say that? That didn't happen then? I always told you in the beginning, someone had to be paid. Either they were or she was. Somebody was paid to lie. Okay, so now we have a jury that did believe a liar. That's my spiel. That's where I'm sticking to.
Chad
Okay, I'm just gonna Google this real quick. Snopes E. Jean Carroll paid $10 million by DNC.
Chad's Mom
Well, the man said allegedly, and it's allegedly with the whistleblower.
Chad
So that's part of, like, why I'm not seeing it on Snopes. It's just that he was convicted of. Of sexual assault, blah, blah, blah.
Chad's Mom
Why it. Okay, then, I mean, why is this blowing up right now all over the place on Instagram, on Tik Tok again, about this whistleblower.
Chad
Okay, let's. Before we get to that question, let's answer this. This guy starts by saying the Republicans always like to have receipts. Then he proceeds to turn in a video a minute and whatever change video saying, there are no receipts. These are all allegations. There's a tape of her admitting it. We don't have it.
Chad's Mom
It's coming. But the whistleblower has said all of this, so it will come forward when this whistleblower gives the her name or his name.
Chad
Why didn't the whistleblower release the tape?
Chad's Mom
I'm sure they will.
Chad
This is an argument you use on Trump all the time. Why didn't the Democrats, if they have all this damning evidence against Trump, where is it? Why didn't they release it? Well, this guy's saying there's a tape. Tape. Where's the tape?
Chad's Mom
The reason that this drew me in and I started to believe some of it is because I saw so many people posting and it's just not him. I saw like, I would say like 10, 15 different people and it's exploding.
Chad
I understand. But the. All the people who run these conservative right wing Tik toks and Instagrams and whatever, all the ones you watch, they are incentivized to take things like this and make content about it because it's what the right wants to hear. Ah. See, the one thing that you can get Donald Trump on is he. He was found guilty in the civil case with Eugene Carol. But here, it's all fake. She was paid by the dnc. Blah, blah, blah.
Chad's Mom
I just like, I like the whistleblower part of it. And I thought, there you go, Chad. We'll see.
Chad
There is no whistleblower who's the whistleblower? Where's the whistle?
Chad's Mom
The whistle's coming. She or he is coming.
Chad
Why don't we have that tape that they're alleging exists?
Chad's Mom
It will be coming, I'm sure.
Chad
Wouldn't it have been, like, way better to just release that tape?
Chad's Mom
Right. Well, I can't say I'm sure it's coming, but it sure sounds like it might be.
Chad
Okay.
Chad's Mom
So that's what I wanted to show you.
Chad
Okay. I thank you for showing me that. But the kind of concrete reality of that video is that guy said, these are all allegations, and we don't have the tape that supposedly exists, so he has nothing to do.
Chad's Mom
It woke. I know. Let's. Let's give it some time. All. All I've seen is that was blowing up all over the place. You can get on Tick Tock, you can get on Instagram and see a bunch of it now. And when I heard the word whistleblower, it drew me in.
Chad
Right. Well, I guess we'll see how that story develops. The clip you showed me had nothing credible in it.
Chad's Mom
Okay. Except whistleblower.
Chad
Whistleblower is not anything credible until you see the person blowing the whistle.
Chad's Mom
It makes me happy. I can't even blow a whistle. I'm not a good whistler.
Chad
I'm going to show you a clip now. This is a news clip from around the time of when Trump was found guilty in the Eugene Carroll case. This news clip has embedded in it a couple of pieces of evidence that were instrumental in getting that guilty verdict, which is video of Trump himself giving his deposition during that case. Okay, okay, here we go.
ABC Senior Investigative Reporter Aaron Katurski
The deposition of former President Trump. The video for the first time being made public tonight in the sexual assault and defamation case brought against him by E. Jean Carroll, the President's lawyer, saying he will not testify in court. So the jurors saw this deposition instead. The former president seen on video responding to documents and questions posed by Carroll's lawyer. And after repeatedly saying, Eugene Carroll is not his type, the moment he was shown this photo of Carroll. She's on the left there from years ago. Asked who it was, Trump in the deposition says it's Marla. Marla Maples is his second wife. ABC senior investigative reporter Aaron Katurski leading us off at the courthouse tonight.
News Reporter
This is the former President of the United States answering questions in a deposition about a rape he insists he never committed, saying of his accuser, Eugene Carroll. She's not my type.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
I take it, sir, that you stand by that statement today?
News Reporter
Yes, I Do Donald Trump shown this photo the moment he met Carol in the late 1980s.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
In front of you, a black and white photograph that we've marked as DJT23.
News Reporter
When asked to identify the woman in the picture, Trump mistakes Carol for his ex wife, Marla Maples.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
It's Marla.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
You're saying Marla's in this photo?
Donald Trump (in deposition)
That's Marla, Yeah. That's. That's my wife.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
Which woman are you pointing to?
Chad's Mom
No.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
Here.
News Reporter
Trump continues to insist he didn't rape Carol because of the way she looks, even after he confused her for his ex wife. So her lawyer following up with this question.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
The only difference between me and other people is I'm honest. She's not my type.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
I take it the three women you've married are all your type?
Chad's Mom
Yeah.
News Reporter
Trump doubling down.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
She's accusing me of rape. A woman that I have no idea who she is. It came out of the blue. She's accusing me of rape, of raping her. The worst thing you can do, the worst charge, and it never took place. And I will tell you, I made that statement and I said, well, it's politically incorrect. She's not my type. And that's 100% true. She's not my type, Carol.
News Reporter
Attorneys are trying to convince the jury the alleged rape is part of a pattern of behavior. Two other women testified Trump assaulted them in the same way he described in the infamous Access Hollywood tape, which Trump watched during his deposition.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
You know, I'm automatically attracted to beautiful. I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. And when you're a star, they let you do it.
Chad
You can do anything.
News Reporter
Trump has dismissed that as locker room talk. But in his deposition, he went further.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
Well, historically, that's true with stars.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
It's true with stars that they can grab women by the.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
Well, that's what. That's. If you look over the last million years, I guess that's been largely true. Not always, but largely true, unfortunately. Or fortunately.
Lawyer Questioning Trump
And you consider yourself to be a star.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
I think you can say that, yeah.
News Reporter
This is all the jury is going to hear from Trump. He opted not to testify in his own defense. Although, David, the judge gave him one last chance to change his mind. A deadline of Sunday evening. Otherwise, closing statements begin here Monday morning, and by Tuesday, the jury should have the case.
Conservative TikTok Commentator
David.
ABC Senior Investigative Reporter Aaron Katurski
Aaron Katurski covering this from the start. Thank you, Aaron.
Chad
So you saw his deposition there, right? He says, Eugene Carroll is not my type. Then they show him a picture of Eugene Carroll, and he thinks it's his
Chad's Mom
ex Wife, apparently, he did not ever know that.
Chad
Lady, you're misunderstanding. Take just the facts of this, okay? One of Trump's biggest defenses was couldn't have raped her. She's not the type of woman I'd rape.
Chad's Mom
I heard him say that. But he also didn't know that was her in the picture either.
Chad
Correct. He mistook her for his ex wife, who is his type. So when just looking at her, yeah, he's saying, she's not my type. Clearly she is. He thought a picture of her was his ex wife.
Chad's Mom
Now I see what you're saying. Yes.
Chad
Okay, so that's a lie, that she's not his type.
Chad's Mom
Okay.
Chad
That's part of the evidence that was used to convict him. He's clearly lying about her not being his type.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
And.
Chad
And that, by the way, is a deplorable excuse for, like, did you rape her? No, she's not my type, but if she would have been, I would have raped her. That's what it.
Chad's Mom
All right, and then so. So he made a mistake, even in the picture who she was. So that was a mistake. E. Jean Carroll made a mistake by stating I was in. It was a certain brand of dress. This is. It was a coat or a dress that I wore that day while I was in the dressing room. That's what I had on.
Chad
He looked at a picture of this woman and thought it was his wife.
Chad's Mom
That dress was never made that year. Okay, so was that a lie? Was that a mistake, what she was wearing? If it was such a vivid, horrific crime that happened, I would remember what I was wearing.
Chad
Okay, you're saying that in your mind, making a mistake about what dress you were wearing is the same as mistaking a woman accusing you of rape for your ex wife?
Chad's Mom
I'm saying it's a mistake, and everybody has called her out on that.
Chad
Okay, fine. We'll table that. You're. You're going to avoid that one. The next piece of this is they use the evidence of his Access Hollywood tape where he openly brags about not only that he does sexually assault women, but tells the manner in which he does it his preferred style of sexual assault. Not just Egene Carroll, two other women testified in that case against him as well, saying that he did that to them. So were they also lying? Were they also paid off?
Chad's Mom
That part, I do not know. They could have been.
Chad
Did they get book deals?
Chad's Mom
I do not know.
Chad
Do you even know their names?
Chad's Mom
No, I do not.
Chad
Okay, so they were just there testifying on their own behalf to say this is what happened?
Chad's Mom
They didn't go because someone asked them to come testify, too? We don't know.
Chad
But why would they have? If Eugene Carroll is, in your mind, is getting paid $10 million in these big book deals and all this shit, why would the other women do it knowing she's getting that if they're not getting anything?
Chad's Mom
Because maybe they were, but they were told, you cannot tell anyone or we're going to take the money back. I don't know. I really don't know, Chad.
Chad
But you have to think about it. You can't just dismiss this.
Chad's Mom
I know you're missing this. I brought my clip to your attention that more people are now talking about it, saying, there's a whistleblower. That's the only reason I wanted to show it.
Chad
Show me that tape. But I'm showing you, like, the things. You dismiss the Eugene Carroll case because you're watching a guy on TikTok say there's a whistleblower tape that exists, doesn't provide the tape or the name of the whistleblower. I'm showing you actual depositions by Donald Trump in that case. The third part of that he says, stars, celebrities should be able to sexually assault women.
Chad's Mom
Yeah, I understand what you're saying, but that was long ago. And now we've got the whistleblower.
Chad
No, that deposition wasn't long ago. That video of Donald Trump was from the trial.
Chad's Mom
Right. How many years ago has it been?
Chad
2, 20?
Chad's Mom
24? 3 or 4?
Chad
I think two years ago.
Chad's Mom
Oh, two. Okay, that's fine.
Chad
Okay, so you're saying that's. That's so long ago, we shouldn't count what he says.
Chad's Mom
Well, the trial's over. You're already saying he's guilty. But now.
Chad
I didn't say that. A jury of nine people unanimously said he is guilty. I was not on that jury.
Chad's Mom
That believed. Probably a liar.
Chad
But, mom, you saw a video of him saying, stars can sexually assault women. And he said, maybe that's good, maybe that's bad.
Chad's Mom
Yeah.
Chad
He's implying that stars still, in his mind, should be able to sexually assault women and that he is a star. He said it. So basically in that clip, he's saying, I believe I should be able to sexually assault women.
Chad's Mom
Right. And that is not right. We know that's not right.
Chad
So how do you reconcile that? You're seeing videotape of him saying it.
Chad's Mom
I went, well, that is not right. I want the whistleblower to come forward.
Chad
The whistleblower aside. Take everything else aside. Just think of that clip, the whistleblower's in my brain. The whistleblower doesn't matter. You saw a clip of Donald Trump. Let's say Eugene Carroll was lying. I'll give you all of that. They paid her $10 million. It's all fake. You saw Donald Trump on tape say, stars should be able to sexually assault women, and I am a star. You saw him say that.
Chad's Mom
Yes, and that is not good.
Chad
Okay, but it doesn't change your opinion of him.
Chad's Mom
That doesn't mean that he raped her.
Chad
I'm not. I'm not saying it does. I'm saying there's a piece of video that you just watched, right? Donald Trump saying, I am a star and therefore should be able to sexually assault women. That's how it's been done for a million years.
Chad's Mom
Right. And that is not right.
Chad
But it doesn't change your opinion of him.
Chad's Mom
Not with that trial.
Chad
Forget the trial, okay? This is. The guy is showing you who he is, what he believes about being able to sexually assault women. That he should be able to do it.
Chad's Mom
Yes. I don't like it, and that is not right.
Chad
But again, how does that affect your
Chad's Mom
opinion of him with him running a country, running our United States, stopping wars? Does that care?
Chad
I mean, of course it matters. Do you. No one should have that attitude, let alone the fucking President of the United States, the face of our country.
Chad's Mom
Right.
Chad
How do you think, like, this guy is instrumental in passing laws about women's reproductive health.
Chad's Mom
Right. He's unfiltered. He shouldn't have said that.
Chad
Unfiltered. I don't like openly admitting to committing crimes and saying that he wants to do it some more and that he should be able to because he's a star.
Chad's Mom
Right.
Chad
You don't see how that is like a narcissistic egomaniac who believes he is above the law and should be able to do whatever he wants.
Chad's Mom
How many times do I have to say he shouldn't have said it, but he did.
Chad
But that doesn't excuse it. Just saying, like, yeah, he shouldn't have said it, but he did. What about somebody who commits, like, a mass shooting? Well, he shouldn't have shot those people, but he did anyway. You can't just excuse it by saying, like, yes, he shouldn't have said it.
Chad's Mom
Killing someone is a lot different than that statement that he just made. Killing an individual is completely different.
Chad
I was using a hyperbolic example.
Chad's Mom
Okay, well, you used an example.
Chad
Right?
Chad's Mom
I should have not brought the Eugene Carol up today. Jesus. What do you mean, whistleblower? I want to See, the whistleblower, okay,
Chad
the whistleblower is not going to change the fact that Donald Trump brags about sexually assaulting women, believes he should still be able to do it because he's a star. That mindset of a person is not a good person, period. Certainly not a person who should be in charge of anything, let alone the biggest country in the world.
Chad's Mom
That's your opinion. I get it. I understand. I see what you're saying. I understand it.
Chad
But you don't agree.
Chad's Mom
Not all the way.
Chad
So at its core then, you don't care that he believes he should be able to sexually assault women without repercussion?
Chad's Mom
No, I do. That is not. That's not right. You know it's not right. I know it's not right.
Iranian TikTok Speaker
Huh.
Chad
But you still like him.
Chad's Mom
I like him as President of our United States, yes, I do.
Chad
Let's move on to this. Your tick tock that you sent me. What is this about?
Chad's Mom
Is this the Iranian person?
Chad
I don't know.
Chad's Mom
Is it an Iranian young man?
Chad
I don't know.
Chad's Mom
Yeah. Get ready to stop it after he says some things because I want to talk about it.
Chad
Okay. Let me know when you want me to stop.
Chad's Mom
It's real long and I just need the first, like maybe four topics he talks about.
Chad
Okay, ready?
Chad's Mom
You'll like it. Yes.
Chad
Here we go.
Iranian TikTok Speaker
So I wrote down a list of common misconceptions that a lot of non Iranians have regarding the U. S And Israel war with Iran and everything that's going to basically happen once Iran is free. And I'm here to address all those from the perspective of an Iranian. So maybe we get to clear the air a little bit, educate some people, even though that's a little bit hard to do nowadays. But you do what you got to do, you know? So the first one goes, the US And Israel are attacking Iran. They're targeting the very government that has been colonizing, terrorizing and slaughtering my people for the past 47 years. It's not Iran or Iranians that they're attacking, is the Islamic Republic. Number two, military prevention is uncalled for. Stop Iranian.
Chad's Mom
Did you hear what he said?
Chad
Yeah.
Chad's Mom
It's the Islamic Republic that they need to get rid of.
Chad
Those are what Trump's doing.
Chad's Mom
Those are the bad people that are slaughtering all of the good people there.
Chad
Sure.
Chad's Mom
But what I wanted that to be stopped, to talk about when dad always says kill them all, get rid of all of them. No, there are good people there, there are bad people.
Chad
But it's.
Chad's Mom
He is An Iranian. This man right here is from Iran. What he is saying is, as you will hear, he wants the United States there to help. Okay, so. Okay, so let's go on.
Chad
No, now I get to rebut you.
Chad's Mom
Okay, Rebut.
Chad
Dad is not the only one saying all Iranians have to be killed. Trump is saying that. Trump is saying that they will end their entire civilization. That's not just the. The leaders of the country. That's all citizens. Trump is also threatening to blow up bridges, power grids, water infrastructure. Those are war crimes against the civilians of Iran.
Chad's Mom
Right. And what this guy says, though, is it's the Republic. The Iranian.
Chad
I understand, but Trump is not saying that. Trump is saying he wants to kill everybody there and commit war crimes against civilians.
Chad's Mom
I really don't think he does.
Chad
He's saying it. What. What else can you do except, like, you can't. When Trump says this, when he makes these posts or he says that he wants to sexually assault women, you can't just be like, he doesn't mean it. He's saying it out loud. He's putting it in print in many cases.
Chad's Mom
All right, let's listen to the next.
Chad
No, not all right. What is your answer to that?
Chad's Mom
How do we know which ones are the Republic and which ones are not? How do we know this? That's. That's what.
Chad
So now you're advocating for killing everyone?
Chad's Mom
No, I'm not. No, I never have. And you know that.
Chad
Okay, but you're. That question you're asking me, how do we know who are part of the actual group of people we should be murdering versus not in that group. That question alone the leads me down the path of, well, then you just got to kill them all. That's where dad is, right?
Chad's Mom
That's where your father is. I guess.
Chad
But why would you ask that question?
Chad's Mom
Because I don't want everyone killed.
Chad
Right.
Chad's Mom
I need the bad people killed that are raping the women before they hang them, before they shoot them.
Chad
But Trump is saying we're going to destroy their entire civilization. That's everybody.
Chad's Mom
I would hope in my heart that it's not that.
Chad
That's what he's saying.
Chad's Mom
Yeah, I would hope it's not right,
Chad
but he's saying that that is what it is, so.
Chad's Mom
Okay, can we go on? This guy talks good stuff, but you're
Chad
not answering my question. What you're saying you don't want them all killed, you just want the bad people killed. Trump, your president, the guy you're supporting, is saying the opposite, that he's going to kill them all.
Chad's Mom
I totally don't think he, he believes that. He does not want to wipe out people that are good.
Chad
Then why is he saying it?
Chad's Mom
To make them stop.
Chad
Well, that ain't working.
Chad's Mom
I know.
Chad
Today Iran boarded, took over multiple ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Chad's Mom
I know. And we are still, though, blocking that port at 500 million a day. They are losing money. And I think that's what Trump's trying to do now, make them go under 500 million a day that they're going to have to do something.
Chad
Do you think what Trump is doing is working?
Chad's Mom
It just started today. They said 500 million didn't just start today.
Chad
We're in week eight of this war.
Chad's Mom
I mean, blocking it now so that they can't go through 500 million.
Chad
We're in week eight of this war. Have any weeks of this war, in your mind, been successful for the United States?
Chad's Mom
There was a presser and Caroline Levette Levitt came out and said, no, real, there's no date to end or start yet. She said there's no, he hasn't said we have to stop by this date. So that.
Chad
So I'll ask you the same question that you did not answer. Why have any of the weeks, the eight weeks of this war, have any of them been successful for the United States in your mind?
Chad's Mom
Yes, because we did stop them from making any more bombs. Okay, we did.
Chad
All right, let's continue with your clip here. Tell me when you want me to pause it again.
Chad's Mom
Okay.
Iranian TikTok Speaker
Inside and outside of Iran wanted the US And Israel to strike the government after the massacre that they had committed back in January by killing over 42,000 Iranians in less than 48 hours. Of the tens of thousands of more Iranians got killed in the upcoming days and weeks. And over 300,000 Iranians got arrested, each one at risk of execution. Imaginary. Imagine how bad the situation in a country is to the point that the people of said country are begging other countries to strike their government. It's that bad. Also to add on to that, military intervention already happened in Iran before the US And Israel started striking. The Islamic Republic brought in its terrorist proxies from across the Middle east like Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis from Yemen, Iraqi militias like Hashel Shape, Zenabiyu, Fatima Liub, and so much more into Iran to help them do the dirty work, finish a job and kill more Iranians in the streets. Guys were not so against military intervention back then. But now that the US Israel are targeting the same government that has been Killing Iranians for so long. Now you guys got something to say? Oh, okay. The third one goes, iranians should overthrow this regime by themselves instead of the US And Israel helping them Now. Iranians have tried countless times for the past 47 years to overthrow this regime, and guess what? Each time they faced bullets. How do you expect unarmed civilians who have nothing to defend themselves with to overthrow a regime that uses military grade weaponry to murder them? Number four, Iranians must be so devastated that their country is getting bombed. Obviously, nobody wants to see their country get bombed, but the source that has been poisoning our country for the past 47 years is finally getting attacked. And we're celebrating that. I've been able to contact some of my family members and my friends back home in Iran, and they all said the same thing. It's not the bombs that scare them. It's a slim chance of this reason.
Chad's Mom
Did you hear that they are celebrating that these bad people in his country are finally getting attacked?
Chad
No one.
Chad's Mom
And you, you and Haley told me this is not happening.
Chad
I'm sure there are Iranian citizens who are happy that their regime is maybe going to get toppled. Of course, no one's disputing that. And nobody is on the side of a regime that is killing people in the streets. No.
Chad's Mom
You laughed at me in one podcast, you and Hailey, because I said they were celebrating in the street.
Chad
Of course there are going to. Just like in this country if Donald Trump, if we got attacked and the stated goal, let's say, like, France was like, we're gonna fucking attack the United States and we're gonna take out the White House and kill Trump. If that was their stated goal, me and Haley would be celebrating. It's that way in any country. There are gonna be people who hate the regime in power. And in many cases, that regime in power can be bad. Like in Iran, like in the United States. I'm not saying there aren't people who support the idea of a foreign military coming in to overthrow that regime. Of course there are. What I'm talking about is Trump using that as a pretext to get into this war. And that's really not why they were there at all. You guys have even admitted that at this point, because he kept shifting it. It was like regime change. Then they killed the guy. Now his son runs it now. Then it was, we got to get rid of their nuclear weapon. Now it's like, we got to get the Strait of Hormuz under control.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
It.
Chad
The goal of the war keeps shifting every week. And they have been successful in none of it.
Chad's Mom
Let's hear the next topic. Okay, wing here.
Iranian TikTok Speaker
It's not the bombs that scare them. It's a slim chance of this regime staying that scares them. Number five goes, Iran is going to turn to Iraq and Libya. This one really aggravates me because anyone who says this knows nothing about Iran and they definitely don't know history because Iran is not Iraq or Libya and we're not like Iraqis or Libyans. Iran has one of the highest literacy rates in the Middle East. Iranians are Western peace loving and very educated. Iranians are some of the most successful immigrants wherever they go. They have contributed a lot to the US Economy. Matter of fact, a lot of the big corporate companies that we have in this country, they're ran by Iranian Americans. Iranian women are more educated than American women. I'm not making that up. You can look it up yourselves. What I'm trying to say is that is what we are, and on top of that, we have a transitional leader.
Chad's Mom
You can stop. I liked his statement right before the topic before where he said, we are not scared of the bombs that are hitting our country. We are afraid of that the guys, the bad guys will be here and stay. But again, does that make sense? That makes so much sense to me.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
That.
Chad
Was that the last thing you wanted to see in this?
Chad's Mom
Yes, that's the last. And I do like this guy. He's on Tick Tock.
Chad
I. But again, he is not the entire country. You don't think there's some people there who are afraid of the bombs?
Chad's Mom
Yes, I'm sure. But he said his people of the country are afraid that, you know, that they're. That the regime will take over again.
Chad
Okay, sure.
Chad's Mom
So they're willing to take the bombing, I guess.
Chad
Or at least he is. We don't know about any other people. No one speaks for an entire country, obviously.
Chad's Mom
No, but his family is there. But he is. Everything he said made sense to me.
Chad
I understand. But everything he's saying has at this point almost nothing to do with how Trump is handling this war. The changing of the regime was the stated goal in the first week of the war.
Chad's Mom
Right.
Chad
Then it dissipated, then it was gone. Trump said the regime is dead. Take to the streets. Take your government back. Remember that.
Chad's Mom
These fanatics just keep coming back. And that's why in 47 years it hasn't. It's hard. It's hard.
Chad
That's fine.
Chad's Mom
We can't stand by and let women and men and babies be killed and raped and murdered in front of everyone. Right? Now, I think there's eight women that Trump is trying to help and say, don't do this to these women. Let's stop this war. And no one, they're not listening to him.
Chad
But okay, fine, let's take that at face value. So then Trump is a horrible negotiator. They had a peace talk that was scheduled. Right.
Chad's Mom
Right.
Chad
Just a couple of days ago with J.D.
Chad's Mom
vance.
Chad
Right. And then Iran didn't even show up because they were like, no, this idiot Trump is tweeting about constantly that he's going to blow us up and if, if we don't show up, he's going to close the straight of moves. You. Okay, but they didn't even show up.
Chad's Mom
But half of that, some of that stuff that you hear that's coming out of that country, how much can we believe of that, Chad?
Chad
Believe of what?
Chad's Mom
That they're saying they didn't show up.
Chad
That is fact. We are still in a war. There was no negotiation.
Chad's Mom
Right. There's still none, I don't think.
Chad
And Trump is constantly threatening them on truth social media, saying that he's going to blow up their infrastructure, he's going to kill everybody. And they're like, all right, well, fuck you then.
Chad's Mom
I think that the economic squeeze of 500 million day, hopefully that will do something instead of bombs. I don't know. I want this to be over. I always said I didn't think we should go into this war, but like he said, we. The. That kid on there said people say Iran should have fought this their own war and, you know, maybe United States should have stayed out of it. But in 47 years, in 47 years, it hasn't been solved.
Chad
But I don't know what you're saying. And I'm not saying the situation in Iran is good. No one is saying that. The topic we are talking about is Trump's unnecessary involvement in it. And now that he's in it, he has no idea how to get out of it. Every negotiation he tries fails. All of his tweets just piss them off.
Chad's Mom
Well, the squeeze, the economic squeeze might do it. I hope it will for the lives of everyone involved in our military.
Chad
We are now in week eight of this war. By the time we get to our Sunday show, it will be starting week nine. You thought it would be over in four weeks or six weeks. Dad said four.
Chad's Mom
Four.
Chad
You're both completely wrong.
Chad's Mom
Well, a few weeks, yeah. We're a few weeks off so far.
Chad
Yeah. You're both completely wrong.
Chad's Mom
Okay.
Chad
There is no end in sight. There Is no one at the negotiating table.
Chad's Mom
I told you.
Chad
Iran is taking control of ships in the strait. The US Is doing the same thing.
Chad's Mom
There is an end in sight.
Chad
What is it? How does it end?
Chad's Mom
I'm afraid how it's going to end. You know how I think it might end?
Chad
A nuclear weapon?
Chad's Mom
No, I just think he's going to bomb the structures over there that he said he would and take those out to start.
Chad
So he's going to kill civilians? I hope not that that's what that is. If you bomb a power plant, who do you think works at the power plant? The government? The bad guys? No, these are just people who have fucking jobs like anybody else. Those people will be dead.
Chad's Mom
It can be government people, you'd think.
Chad
Imagine like in our country. It works the same in Iran. Do you think J.D. vance and Pete Hegseth are working in a power plant?
Chad's Mom
No.
Chad
Correct. It is not the government who works in a power plant. It's just people who have jobs at the power plant.
Chad's Mom
Right. I don't want this.
Chad
I'm not saying you do. I'm just trying to get you to accept the fact that Trump is doing this. The guy that you have unwavering support for is doing all of this.
Chad's Mom
Well, we are now, we are now in a war. He is our leader. Yeah, we have to support this. We have military, we have to support them and we have to get.
Chad
Support the troops. That doesn't mean you have to support Trump. He's terrible at this.
Chad's Mom
We have to get this finished one way or another.
Chad
Okay, I have a clip now from David Pakman. This is a. He has millions of followers on YouTube and Instagram and all this. He's a left leaning political commentator and this is his clip about Trump being kept out of the Situation Room when the soldier was rescued.
Chad's Mom
Rescued.
Chad
Here we go.
David Pakman
They are keeping Trump out of the room so that he won't ruin everything. This is an unbelievable report that Donald Trump was blocked from his own Situation Room after throwing a multi hour tantrum and becoming a distraction to sensitive military operations. You know, there is a moment during a military crisis where the President as the commander in chief of the military is supposed to be there in the room, making decisions, presented with options, getting real time updates, leading. It's called leadership. Hello. That is not what happened here. Military advisers made an incredible decision about Trump that I don't know has ever been made about any American president. Which is. They kept him out. They didn't delay him getting in there. He wasn't unavailable. He was blocked from Being in the Situation Room during a high stakes rescue mission in Iran. The reason is the entire story. They were worried that Trump's temper and his impulsivity would totally derail the operation. Now, think about what that means. Active military extraction, highly sensitive, downed American pilot in hostile territory. And the decision was made. Trump in the room while we're rescuing him is a risk. Think about that. Trump was the risk. And so instead of getting minute by minute updates like you would expect, aides filtered info and told him only what they decided he needed to know. They created a buffer between the President and reality in the middle of a war. And that is very far from standard procedure. That's what you do if the President is the problem and you're trying to manage him. And at the exact same time that this was happening, Trump was reportedly in the West Wing of the White House, screaming for hours after the plane was shot down, obsessing over Jimmy Carter's legacy and screaming about elections, and worried about how this would look if things went badly and the pilot wasn't recovered. And Trump was being managed from the outside like a tantruming toddler. Now, it wasn't a simple mission. Believe what you believe about our presence in Iran, which I'm against. This was a situation where a rescue aircraft got stuck in desert sand forces had to run distraction maneuvers. It really could have gone wrong at any moment. And so if you have a president who can provide sane and sober leadership, you would say, that's great, let's have him in the room. But they knew that Trump couldn't do that. And so Trump was limited and he was not allowed in the room.
Chad
Okay, so that was what you were disputing was not real. That reporting, by the way, comes out of the Wall Street Journal.
Chad's Mom
I was going to say who. Who's the source there? That could be fake news.
Chad
No.
Chad's Mom
Where's the source?
Chad
This is just Wall Street Journal.
Chad's Mom
That guy talking about it, he didn't cite a source.
Chad
I'm citing it for you. That's where he got it.
Chad's Mom
I'm looking one up, too. Was Trump not allowed in the.
Chad
It was. It's a Wall street port. Wall Street Journal report claims White House aides and military advisors kept President Trump out of the situation room during 2026 rescue mission for US airmen in Iran. Officials allegedly feared the President's erratic behavior could interfere with the mission success, choosing instead to provide updates via telephone. It's in the Wall Street Journal.
Chad's Mom
Okay, let me look. I'll look up my source, too.
Chad
What's your source?
Chad's Mom
I'M looking right now.
Chad
So you're completely dispute the video I've shown you. You just don't even think it's real.
Chad's Mom
Well, that guy I've never seen. I'm not his follower.
Chad
I never. That's right. That's a part of what this show is. I'm showing you stuff that I know you've never seen. David Pakman is probably one of the definitely top five liberal YouTubers. He's like a Hassan Piker type figure.
Chad's Mom
There isn't any verified credible record showing that Donald Trump was absent from the White House situation room during the Real Time pilot takedown event. This is Chat GPT.
Chad
Okay? Chat GPT is not a news source. Next.
Chad's Mom
Okay, where do I go? What's the next one?
Chad
I can use the Wall Street Journal. I don't know how much I can say this. That's where the report is.
Chad's Mom
How about Google?
Chad
Okay, Google it. Yeah, Google it. Google Wall Street Journal article about Trump being kept out of the situation room. See what comes up.
Chad's Mom
Okay. Oh, yeah, I'll say. I'll say that and see if it pops up. Was Trump kept out of the situation room during pilot?
Chad
Wow, you're typing fast.
Chad's Mom
One finger in it. I got arthritis. I got to do one finger.
Chad
Nice.
Chad's Mom
It's. My Internet's pulling up.
Chad
Okay,
Chad's Mom
Okay. It said based on the Wall Street Journal.
Chad
Yeah.
Chad's Mom
AIDS and military advisors deliberately kept Donald Trump out of the situation room during the rescue of two pilots in Iran.
Iranian TikTok Speaker
Correct.
Chad's Mom
That's. That was one overview. I'm looking at another one.
Donald Trump (in deposition)
Okay.
Chad's Mom
Yahoo. That one doesn't say credible or not. Okay, I'll keep. I'll read on that more tonight. But yes, it did say Wall Street Journal.
Chad
Okay, so I'm just bringing this to your attention because you're one of your kind of like defense mechanisms. When I bring some piece of information to you that is negative toward Trump in any way, you just say, well, I don't know who that is and why they would be saying it, so it must be.
Chad's Mom
I have to look it up. But you brought this topic to me. First time today. It's the first time I've seen it.
Chad
No, we talked about it on Sunday. That's why I brought it up to you. Listen, listen, Hang on, hang on. That's a lie, what you just said. It's not the first time we've talked about this.
Chad's Mom
I forget about some things that we talk about early on. I really do. I'm getting old.
Chad
You said you needed to see the proof of it, so that's why I brought you this clip today.
Chad's Mom
Okay. I do like that clip, but my mind is very scientific. I need to see a few more clips of the same thing. That's the way I think things through. And I'm not making a joke about it.
Chad
Yeah. All right.
Chad's Mom
My friends said I could be a private eye because I do do 10 things. I evaluate them, I look them over, I figure out what's real, what's not. Okay.
Chad
Please become a private eye.
Chad's Mom
I will look at that tonight.
Chad
Get your license and become a private investigator.
Chad's Mom
I would love to. I'm pretty good at it. I really am.
Chad
Okay.
Chad's Mom
Okay.
Chad
Well, no minds were changed here. Thank you all for joining us for this midweek episode. Mom, thank you for doing this. I love you for always being here on Wednesdays. We are the only two people holding down the Wednesday episode.
Chad's Mom
We're the only ones that come to the party on Wednesday.
Chad
I know. I will ask you this question. I was reading some articles this week about Ghislaine Maxwell's attorney. He believes she may be getting a pardon soon from Trump. You have said on this show that if that happens, you're out.
Chad's Mom
I will be. Yes. Not right. Big not right.
Chad
All right.
Chad's Mom
I don't think that'll happen.
Chad
Keep that in mind.
Chad's Mom
Keep it in mind.
Chad
But thank you all for joining us. We will be back on Sunday talking about. Let me just roll down the list of topics that already have happened. Trump excluded from the war room. So we got that one. US Military attacks on boards and Iranian oil tanker. There's a photo of an IDF soldier smashing the head of a Jesus statue. Palantir released a terrifying manifesto. Veterans are protesting the war in Iran. The labor secretary, another woman from Trump's Cabinetary Cabinet fired $166 billion in tariff refunds to US businesses. Taxpayers are paying that. Tucker Carlson openly apologized for his role in getting Trump elected. Negotiations are falling apart with Vance and Pakistan and the Iranian government not showing up. Trump is detrimental to negotiations. US Officials are saying that a Houston judge threw out one of Cash Patel's defamation lawsuits that he's now filing against everybody because they said he was drunk on the job. Two CIA agents died in a Mexican operation gone wrong. And the Republicans lost their effort in Virginia to try and redistrict that whole state. And so now they're in a worse situation than they would have been if they would have done nothing.
Chad's Mom
I did see that. I did see that last one.
Chad
So we'll probably be talking about at least a couple of those. But yes, I love you too, Mom. Thank you for doing this and we'll be back on Sunday. Please join us for that.
Chad's Mom
Okay. Bye. Bye.
